You seem to get the idea ;)

just out of curiosity, how long do you think it would take Sera to cast her spells?

All of them are pretty easy to cast I'd say. Let's say that Predator's Steps is instant cast and equal to walking in two feet of snow (as in, your legs get only slightly more tired than normal, but you can actually keep it up for a long time). Forest's Embrace will work better the more time she spends on casting it I guess. And song of the wild is probably just like speaking slowly, like, you can't really make animals understand you without spending some time around it. Say, it takes four times as long to say something in "animal" as in ordinary speech? ^^ Sound good?

poor thing? it tried to lunk her on the head lol.

but yeah...chopping off a tail is a bit of a mean thing.

Though, she was looking to eviscerate

I still feel sad for it, losing it's tail in such a gruesome way. :P But thank you Branka for protecting Ylvi, she'd not be able to take being slammed against the wall by a troll like you did just did.

Posts don't need to be long. Especially not during a action sequence such as this were we need many things to happen within a small time frame and we also want everyone to have a chance to react to everything that happens.

Have you ever been in a deep forest and seen a strange black tarn lay hidden deep among the tall trees? It looks bewitched and a almost a bit frightening. All is still - fir trees and pines huddle close and silent on all sides. Sometimes the trees bend cautiously and carefully over the water as if they are wondering what may lie hidden in the murky depths. There is another forest growing in the water, and it, too, is full of wonder and silence. Most strange of all, never have the two forests been able to talk to each other....

Anyone recognise it? Viska perhaps?

Looks interesting though.

It is the first part of a Swedish fairytale - Leap the Moose and little Princess Cottongrass. (Sagan om älgtjuren Skutt och lilla prinsessan Tuvstarr).

If you can find it in English, read it. It's very nice and something of a national treasure :)  The reason why I posted it here is because it was illustrated by the same artist that made all the images I've used for this RP :)

huh, thats cool!

i'll check it out.

.....

I feel bad...

But they did kinda start it.

Still, goes to show petunia ain't just a strong backed reindeer.

Alright! Now to see how you guys finish them off! Watch out for the flailing arms of Rote, they'll send you flying if you get hit!

*Victory fanfare*

We've won or first battle! Did this format work or for you guys? Or do you want more control of the NPC's?

It went fine enough, we... pretty much had total control of em really.

Rightio, then we can just keep playing :)

I do want to remind you guys that we have the campfire section. Since we had a time skip earlier we're entitled to play out things that happened during it. Perhaps someone told Sera one of the stories she do craves when they were walking through the forest? Perhaps Petunia starts chewing Branka's hair? Or maybe Hrafn tells Ylvi about the time he was on Gryn? Or just random stuff like that which doesn't have to involve every player  :)

The only thing we really need to remember is to keep it short and not touch upon topics that affects the story as a whole, since that's supposed to go in main :)

You don't have to, of course, but I believe it would give more depth to our characters and that we'd feel more commitment and engagement.

Know what I mean?

Pssst

What's gryn?

Gryn is a Danr island off the Midhalpadian west coast.  (This all said in Ylvi's character sheet, but I don't blame you for not remembering). Ylvi hails from there. I don't know if Hrafn actually ever visited it, that was simply an example of a possible thing to cover in a campfire session.

I will update the map soon, with name of provinces in Midhalpad and Lapunia and every realm in Sverija and all that. If anyone wants to come up with a place of any kind, go nuts, but go soon, because I will start working on this in a few days (though it might take a while to get it ready)  :)

And! I will actually finish the drawings of your characters, heck, I've not even showed you the sketch of Branka yet, have I? (I'll post it when I get home, I'm at work atm).

Appearently I work faster than one can think. This is the the current world map. Do you like? (I know some names are really lame, but I couldn't be bothered to make up proper names for so many places).
