It works but i have a few little tweaks.

mage killer arrow, basically is just a poison arrow. Healing magic is rare and even when it is accessible the caster must be notably powerful. Thus a standard poisonous arrow, likely of synthetic make due to the druid thing would fit very well. It is also a tactic of the inquisition to use The Path of the Eagle Snipers to take out strong mages. So it makes canonical sense.

To be fair…if they are a culture that embraces magic…vulkun would probably tell them to piss right off. Thandrell likely would as well if not for the fact that its literally one city short of nonexistence. Nonetheless this could all fit rather well. Id wager it would be much easier to negotiate with Leonard than the other powers of nation.

Last bit. The capital fell maybe two years ago. If the druid has been afflicted that long the poison would be really strong and with the limited resources available it may not be possible to cure them by standard means. But i may have a solution that a high caliber magic user of the nature/life variety could sus out. Your character seems a good fit DM me.

ughs timeline is off and i wanted to have them be envoys from magical culture soooooo like...

I'mma make pirates instead!

sooooo like my girlie is a pirate captain of a family of pirates with a small armada of ships. hers in particular was stalking the waters that border the boundary waters between V and T. She will let refugees on and take them nearest port for a huge ass fee. But first she makes dock in the usual hidden spot and takes her crew to shore to stock up and transfer their cache in T to a safer island spot. They are attacked by horde and separated. Some try to get back to the ship but fail, the rest run hell for leather inland where they finally meet up with the refugees on the move to Vulcan.

They are an elemental people, most call their family lineage the SeaWitches. Their magic is sorcery based and they use the elements mostly to ease their lives at sea. But its weaker the further they are from the coasts. The best part about them is they have a Smith mage that can make things go Boom! lol Thinkin that they do illicit mistrust and rub landlovers the wrong way but they can be morale boosters since they will tell tall tales, sing and dance for fun despite my captain charrie being a hard ass.

lmk if this all goods k?

Pirates sound very interesting. There is no gunpowder for cannons or pistols so they would need be skilled warriors. Admittedly i had no thoughts towards them either good or bad until you brought them up. Now im seeing a sea of possibilities. I would be honored to host your pirates.

As for your Boomsmith. Smiths are a rare kind of magic user, for two of the same element to exist on the planet at the same time is a glitch in the matrix. So please by all means make a spell that explodes things, But try to Avoid theming it Around Fire of Force. Nolan Vilkas is the Worlds Flamesmith. Gentry Vilkas his adoptive father and master in craft, is the Force-smith (Mass). Luckily there is no shortage of alternatives, Wind could make Airbursts, Earth could make Shattershards, Hell “Swift” is usable at which point they just make things move fast enough to explode. Whatever you chose will be unique to your character. go for it

k cool cools.

yeah at first i was like tryin to do a workaround to get cannons and pistols in the world lol. take some old tech, rework the cannons to take on high amounts of water pressure to launch ammo using a water mage. they on water so unlimited supply of ammo too. a cannon ball made of ice is just as devastating as a cannonball made of steel. but like that's too superpowery for this world lol.

So like yeah, thinkin they'd be like a storm or air smith that could work with air pressure inside items to make like grenades and bombs? And that like their crossbows have hollow shafts that use that same pressure to shoot the arrows faster and deadlier. like rn the boomsmith is like just a disciple, but like she not THE 6th level Smith of that element. Thinkin that each pirate ship of armada has a combo of air, water or storm sorcerer/smith on board. but these individuals aren't found inland due to harnessing mana strictly from the open sea waters; the more land locked they are, the weaker they become even lakes don't help them with mana since they freshwater. and like that puts a limit on how many grenades/bombs/air-powered crossbows shots they will have while journeying with the refugees.

Smiths must all be different, no two are the same.

Framing ways to Make a Explosion themed smith without using Flames or Force as both are already claimed themes for smiths.

We are also soon to have a Light based PsudoKnight.

And a magical Pirate crew.

Also i am planning big Shennanigans.

So basically. Pirate crew with fancy magic. And were going to have a light-based character. Got it.

Why don't you just do implosions? Basically explosion from the inside.

That away it doesn't conflict with fire or force. You can do fancy magical shenangins to make it look cool and things.

Both. I actually have about Three each.

Without spoiling.

Bad
Big bad reveal, Treachery afoot, Inquisition are dicks.

Good.
Goodies For all, A living Hope, Treachery Afoot.
I thought the last part was obvious?

treachery both good and bad? Sounds interesting.

meh. Killing people solves problems. That or just saying "fuck you".
Usually we find the opposite to be true.

A great example. The Grand Inquisitor. Killing him would seem like it would benefit the situation all around. Except for the fact that his entire organization is built on propaganda and emotional manipulation. Ergo making him a martyr and providing them with evidence of the dangers of magical beings would actually be a massive detriment.

Or the Fuck you. The crown is currently lead by a nepotistic heir. Until further notice the dude/chick is a total asshat. Telling him “fuck you” seems like a good idea. Until all your good reasoning and legitimately good ideas get splatted by his guards during a tantrum.

Reason in the inverse. is an interesting thing. Reason only exists to the reasonable. Those who are unwilling or unable to see reason, will never be swayed by it.

I'm making joke. But thanks for the info anyways. Btw what is "goodies" exactly?
