Scratch that, my longest post (that I'm aware of) is 7 paragraphs not counting dialogue. Counting dialogue it's 13 paragraphs. It was a starter, though, so it's not really indicative of my average paragraph count.

So I actually have a writing thread where I challenge myself to cap off at 700 words cuz I can get reeeeeeeally wordy sometimes too lol. A good para size to me is 80-100 words so that why I say 4-5 paras so I keep mindful from going overboards.

Here's a question out of curiosity. Do you count dialogue as paragraphs. I generally don't unless it's really long or also contains a few actions attached to the tag.

ya, my dialog usually includes actions or is more than a couple words so I kept it. word count on that ultra long post was 1126

My Erik's the opposite. He's a helpful guy. Yep, that's his entire personality. It's based off a single crit line from Exalted Chrom in Fire Emblem Heroes.

Now that's surprising.

I guess I go around 3-4 paragraphs most of the time. Maybe more,but not by much if it's a scene I'm leading.

I guess my longest (starter) was only like 7 paragraphs long, but my sentence structure sometimes might confuse native English speakers cuz there my European comes through sometimes in the form of overcomplicating English sentences, haha

Thanks. But yeah. There are a lot of side sentences in my normal ones. Sometimes even a line across the screen at least, without a period mark and just one comma after the other, haha. I make too many for English and too little for German, haha

Commas are something that are to be used as needed in my opinion. I use commas only when I judge it necessary, English grammar rules be damned.

Ironically, most non-native english speakers I meet have a better time with spelling and grammar than most native english speakers, me including.

commas are just the worst, like there's rules sure but there's also like a hundred exceptions to those rules so why even have them?
I have a bad runons and comma splice problem, but I feel like if the flow is good who even cares in informal writing

That‘s a good point. Tho my comma thing in English is because I‘m used to sentences which are much more complicated than the ones used in English, soooo yeah
