In the 2nd edition, there was a Merit that allowed the player to buy a Legendary Attribute and raise it up above the Essence cap, letting you start with a 6 in something at character creation. I wish that there was one similar listed in the 3rd edition so I could have Tyree's strength be really epic.

We’ll get Tyree there! I’d like to see her rip Behemoths in half. 😜

Once I hit Essence 2, there is a Strength Charm that lets you hit Legendary size in your Warform. That will be a scary thing.

So, after that little test reminding me how all the combat works, I think many of our combats will boil to single-roll conflict resolution. We’ll keep the really important ones in full combat mode, but I think we can get just as interspersed outcomes with a single roll for less important stuff.

Lucky for me I have a kick-ass hearthstone that heals me from just about everything.

I also have a great weapon that does Aggravated damage to spirits.

I'm coming down from a bunch of stuff that hit all at once: my wife was in the hospital for a few days and just got home, Mother's Day on Sunday, a pair of birthday celebrations Monday, and lots of family in town for all of this. I'm beat!

Yeah, I've been pretty bombed too. I'll get a post up summarising Zoya's feelings on this whole ordeal today.

Hope you and your wife are okay. And I hope you enjoyed everything else.

I’m tempted to see that if I can’t drown in water
Just for the record, Sigrdrífa is completely wrong and Aeliana can totally drown in water. Sigrdrífa can't, and she incorrectly assumes all other Solars are like her.

Except oops, I just double checked and I keep forgetting in 3e the initial Survival Charm does not let you breathe underwater anymore, so all of that was just nonsense. That Charm was moved all the way to Essence 3. Ugh. Someday Sigrdrífa will be able to breathe underwater, and then what she just said won't have been complete nonsense.

Esbilon Esbilon , I think we can montage this a bit. Can you send me the link again for what we’re basing these elementals on? Because it wasn’t the ones in the book, right? They were 2e?

And then, what’s the process look like? Do you have to do multiple summons?

Excited to see how this works and move the scene past the night.

The Sobeksis is detailed in Roll of Glorious Divinity, page 126. Going by Ex2 rules, they have access to a spirit Charm called Touch of Grace which can cure any illness short of the Great Contagion. They're the limited by their Essence Pool in how many people they can cure with it. Other than that, they have Intelligence 4 and Medicine 5, so even if their bedside manner leaves something to be desired, they can help people recover.

Summon Elemental in Ex3 is a Ritual spell meaning that it doesn't actually take any motes to cast, but it does take four hours for each casting. My plan is basically to have Zoya cast it three times in succession. This will leave her down 3wp and a night's rest, but should give enough time heal most of the tribesfolk. The problem with leaving the elementals and moving on is that they like being worshipped and are pretty OK with eating people, so if the tribe doesn't have anyone who can challenge them, we may cure them of the plague just to give them some nasty elemental overlords instead.

At which point Makuro will slowly turn to Zoya and say, in a voice dripping with deadpan sarcasm, "Nice job".

On recognizing that, I think the solution actually is to leave the elemental behind, but task-bind it so that it will complete cure everyone in the tribe as swiftly as possible and not otherwise interfere with them.

Whew!

Does it dissipate after it completes its task?
