Nio waited behind a giant trash bin. He knew what she was doing. So he would wait here for her to return.

"Angel of hell... We shouldn't be here. We shouldn't have been spotted" surgess summoned a murumasa sword " you won't tell anyone you saw us right deary?"

Before wisp said anything Nio and Surgess we're surrounded by skeleton knights with swords drawn "that depends, are you threatening me?" She asked

Nio leaped in front of surgess "angel of hell.... Let's just go... You know I can't take another hit after the last city..." Surgess scoffed "fine... " surgess grabbed nio and leaped to the roof. And they both took off running with nio slightly stumbling from his previous wound

"I could have summoned demons if you just-" nio cut her off "in case you haven't noticed this city has less normals then the last! We can't draw too much attention!!" Surgess had a blank look on her face as she pursed her lips into a straight line "how are we going to last here?.... Y-you can't teleport for a few months...." There was silence between the two before surgess dropped to her knees shaking. Nio pulled her into a hug ".... Everything will be okay... I'll do what ever it takes..."

The shadows moved away from them and a woman that had ears on top of her head and a wolf tail rose from the shadows "my name is Rebecca, I'm the goddess of the dark and owner of this city" she replied

Surgess blinked "owner?..." She and nio looked at each other . nio covered his mouth "so...uh... Our Q to run?" Surgess shrugs as she rather fight but knowing nio couldn't fight none the less walk... She would have to fight alone... "Just stay hidden" surgess said "wait what are yo-" surgess chucked nio to the other end of the city "hmp!" She turned to Rebecca summoning her twin twisted daggers. "Shoulda never approached.." Corruption filled her eyes as shadows swirled around her summoning shadow demons but being so young she could only summon 3 .

Rebecca imidiately dismissed the shadows, and brought Nio back to that spot with his own shadow "I understand your actions, but really? Do you threaten everyone who just stops by and asks a question?" She asked

Surgess got mad and ran at Rebecca "NO ONE HANDLES MY BIG BROTHER!!" she swung her twisted daggers. Nio face palmed at how she got so mad she just let her know he was her brother "welp... Nice knowing ya life" he flopped on his back and waited to be killed.

Rebecca snapped her fingers and they were both grabbed and pinned by their own shadows, Surgess however was pulled into the wall with a resounding thud "so a 16 year old boy and his 6 year old little sister, no genetic relation, only a situational relation from being experimented on. So frightened that you attack anyone that even comes close to you, regardless of having no I'll intentions" she shook her head in disappointment "you two won't last that long in this city if you keep thinking like that"

Surgess yelped at being slammed into the wall. The hit to the head triggered her anxiety forcing all her memory's to flood at ones. She shook and gripped her head. Nio noticing what was going on tried to get to her but was held in place by his shadow. He looked at Rebecca "YOU GOTTA LET ME GET TO HER! YOU CAN HOLD HER WITH HER SHADOW BUT SHE NEEDS ME! PLEASE!!!... lemme... Help her" he had concern in his eyes silently panicking

Nio limped over to surgess. Not like he could get away without the shadow. After all he was wounded from the last village. He knelt down to surgess grabbing her arms from her head so she doesn't hurt herself. She screams and tries to tug her arms away " hey! Calm down! Its me!...please snap out of it..." Nio pulled her into a hug. She bit his shoulder. Nio winced but didn't let go. Surgess eyes were no longer the two separate eye color's blue for left and red for right. Instead they were both blank White. "Its okay..." Surgess started to calm down letting her bite go and glanced up at nio who had concern on his face. "He's not here... Your safe" surgess eyes turned normal before she passed out in Nio's arms. Nio sighs staring down at her.

Nio glanced at Rebecca without turning his head. He treated surgess as if she could shatter with the smallest movement like glass. "...what do you know about..." Nio tried to move a little but winced and fell to his side holding surgess close to him. He wasn't minding his wound like he should be. His eyes glistened while lookin at surgess. This could have been her if he hadn't jumped in front of the attack.... Or worse... She could be gone by now. It was a wonder how nio made it this far. His shirt stained with black blood.
