No, I will leave Mahina to you. I may go to work on Milo depending on what Sherwood has planned in the woods.
Alrighty. Then would you like me to push Milo on your directions, and say some words to help out while Bard goes to the woods?

I'll hold my post until Bard can do his magic, then.

Kuaidao nodded at Maja. "Okay. We've found the first one, and we should be able to find it again later on." he said. "Let's head to the next one, shall we?"

Maja's going to follow Kuaidao's lead here - what's the plan? I think you can just narrate what you want to do at each pass and execute the plan all in one go. Do you want to close all but one pass and then wait for them to try to go through the last one and drop a bunch of snow on them?

Speaking OOC, I want to have Kuaidao talk things over with Bard and Spider first, and get their opinions on whether to whittle down Lahor's forces or just delay them.

Sherwood Sherwood
Do you have the stats to the silk armor and unsurpassed Sanxian? I remember grabbing them but I can't find the stats for them and forgot to add them to my CS.

Heh. I forgot that Bard and Spider would be under a no essence constraint if they got into a fight.

Well I'm hardly one to talk. I've thrown you all into a near-unwinnable fight in my game.
Tell me about it. I think you just want to see how creatively we can exploit the systems to give the biggest bang for the smallest bucks. I'm excited to see how awesomely I die.

(Gonna include Rykon Rykon in this, seeing as he's in my game as well.)

I'll be upfront; Tale of a Falling Empire is largely meant to be a deconstruction of the Realm and its practices. Things were okay when the Scarlet Empress was around to keep things in order, but with her gone, everything's now going to shit. House Ragara was willing and able to impoverish Kandara for the sake of an impending civil war. The subsequent resentment felt by the Kandarans isn't helped by the fact that Dynasts are typically raised to expect nothing less than obeisance and adoration from mortals, with the result being that some are bound to get angry upon receiving anything less, while having little to no capacity to emphasize with them. This is epitomized by Satori, who I originally envisioned as being a cross between Cersei Lannister and Joffrey Baratheon in terms of temperament; she's an entitled and needlessly violent ruler who isn't exactly the sharpest switchklaive in the drawer, and she's wholly unsuited to handle a situation like the one she's in right now.

All this creates a bonfire of dissenting feelings against the Realm that pro-Celestial groups like the Gold Faction and Cult of the Illuminated are all too happy to stoke, making rebellion against the Realm a much more real danger in the Threshold than it used to be. Especially now that the Solars are back and the Realm as a whole is turning its attention to the Blessed Isle, with Creation now being much smaller and confined to boot. With the Great Houses divided without the Empress, and groups like the Wyld Hunt weakened, your characters are now stuck in what's effectively a no-win situation, should you choose to stand and fight.

That theme hasn't been lost on me either. I've been quietly arguing whether the end game is A.) Fighting and dying for an undeserving "Realm" culture B.) Caving in to the pressures of an Anathema revolution and defecting C.) Stepping away from both to do our own thing elsewhere, whether that be a new nation or joining the Seventh Legion (I'd see the characters lean much more towards the former than "stooping so low as to go crawling to Lookshy of all places")

Also, good luck with the skirmishes everyone. Sounds like you'll need everything you can get.

Heh. That's exactly the kind of dilemma I wanted to create with this game.

You can try to Game of Thrones us all you want, but George Martin never had a handful of PC character come in to completely wreck havoc on his themes and intentions.

Satori will be turned into a tsundere Waifu fitting enough to have her own body pillow, we will rally the loyal dynasts and fight back against this attempt at usurping the realm, and the solars return will spark a new ideological revival and reformation of the immaculate philosophy, and Manato and Asuna will be crowned the new Empress and consort, with Larissa deposing Raksi as the great sorcerous force in the world. All the while our exploits will have us proclaimed as the next Dragons in that our lineage will be held above all.others!

Or we just get captured and brainwashed by solars.

I'm fine with whatever your characters are capable of. And I would hella love it if you found a way to defeat what I'm planning to throw at you.

How prepared are you for us to pull out some crazy satrapy sized stunts to accomplish such a feat?
