Realistic or Modern Alternate 1920+ - Diesel-punk Resistance (Blood and Rust) -- Interest Check

Probably not. The players are going to be resistance fighters in a Central American city. I don' think they'd take kindly to an invader in their midst. Not exactly impossible but you'd be facing an uphill battle IC.

And piloting mechs will likely be a mission-by-mission basis, doing it "when possible" on a job.

Sounds like a challenge, I'll take you up on that. It also sounds like a lot of work, but it's something I can do. I believe we can work this one out, I can even be something of an antagonist or an opponent for the players here.

I have a proposal, a wild one. You can control the mechas. I'll be the one controlling the ground troops.

I favor infantry and cavalry over tanks and artillery. But if needed, I think I can spend a little time learning the ropes on tank warfare.

Sorry, I'm not sure what you're saying here. The first part, being a defector could defs work, and could maybe have a commander antagonist secondary character. But... I'm just not following here. Apologies

(Also, I edited in the OoC link, cause I forgot it. If you missed it, may need to reload the page)

Ah, sorry, I was getting ahead of myself there.

What I wanted was to control a force of NAL or CSA soldiers, particularly infantry. These forces would serve as an opposing force the main characters have to deal with. I assumed you were going to control some of them anyway, particularly the mechas. We would be the 'antagonists' in the story because we'd be trying to occupy Panama City, which the main characters want back in their hands. Do you think this could work? It would require some coordination.

EDIT: If not, maybe I could go for a former military officer or a sergeant siding with the resistance. He'll also be a local of Panama City.

It doesn't sound impossible. May help to have some other knowledge on my (GM) side, and might be easier to simulate coordination or lack thereof, depending on the actions of the player.

I may also ask you to run a protagonist, though. Specifics can be worked out. but what I see maybe working is we work on troop actions together, and I post it all. Keep everything in one place and such. If that makes sense.

So the artists whose work inspired the game that inspired me? :D
