Zephyr, a country that spreads far and wide, is one that is bracing itself for a massive civil war.

Zephyr is a wide and expansive country. It is populated by many different species. It has a legacy for being a nation with many different resources as well as having positive attributes. For decades, one single royal family has ruled the country, and their prized possession has been peace for that time. Yet, with the king's recent death, and the retreat of the two oldest princes, the youngest brother has been placed in charge of the kingdom. Every ally of his father and brothers has been executed. The new leader is unstable and ready to cause destruction wherever he wishes. He has already began oppressing the people and destroying ways of life, all the while seeking to be the number one power in the world.
But there is hope. A rebellion force started by the two princes has begun to take back land that the empire once owned. The new king has started to become aggravated. It's only a matter of time before he begins to strike back at the rebels with all of his might. The rebels need new recruits now more than ever. And that's where you come in. Whether you are a seasoned adventurer, or a new fighter, the rebels need your help to combat the evil empire.

Zephyr… A wide and expansive country ripe with resources and power. With the combined forces of every single species populating it, it could become the most powerful nation in the world. That is our goal, the goal of the collective empire. Under the command of emperor Aloysius, you will become a great hero to the empire's forces. There is no room for mercy here, and the rebels must be swiftly executed. There is no need for a legislative branch anymore. And the rebels must be utterly defeated, before they have a chance to take over any more territory.
But there is hope. The royal forces have been rallying its allies near and far in order to fight the rebel menace to take back the land that is rightfully ours. It is only a matter of time before the rebels begin to strike again with all their might. We need new recruits more than ever. This is where you come in. You will be trained however you wish to be, to be whatever class you want. The empire needs you to fight the destructive rebels.
Zephyr is a fantasy RPG idea, where roleplayers can be on either the rebel side or the empire side. There are also numerous species to choose from, and roleplayers who join can also submit their own species. This is going to be a largely open RP where I won't be strictly policing every feature. Members may start their own plot arcs, but I'd need to approve those of course.
I am aiming to put up two roleplay threads, one for the empire side and one for the rebel side. There'll likely be one to two main parties for each side, depending on how many people are interested in the idea.
If anyone is interested in this idea, I'll post the classes and species list before the actual roleplay/OOC/Character Creation/whatever threads, just to give people a more of a feel for what they're signing up for.
