Centuries ago humans were on top of the food chain, they had it all they had the technology and armies that made them feel safe. But then one day the supernaturals finally got tired of working under the shadows and came fourth and demanded that they be part of the populace. There was a war but it was short lived and the supernaturals won, they got their place they wanted side by side with the mortals. Among the supernaturals vampires excelled the most and took place among the top of the food chain instead.

Some vampires are more well off than others, one such family the Lacrosa Family lives in the now renamed Lacrosa castle. It is home to a mother, a father, and three siblings. Along with servants to make their lives comfortable. One day the eldest asked for live in prey...then the middle joined in and also the youngest as well. They begged and whined to their parents until they caved. So the Eldest for their birthday set out to the night market a place where not to well off supernaturals and humans are taken to be sold to Vampires as servants.

As the middle child and only girl, Bavol has spent most of her life contending with her brothers. She has learned to give out what they give in-return and stands her ground when she must, though that's not to say she is completely brave when dealing with situations unfamiliar to her. At times, she will shelter behind her brothers, but can just as easily defy their orders. She harbours a desire for affection and to experience things beyond their castle and live a little. Perhaps a time will come when she dares to act on that impulse.

Healing: Mitsuki possess the ability to expend her own energy to heal wounds. Since this ability relies on using her energy, Mitsuki can quickly grow tired if she heals too many at once and this can lead to nose-bleeds and fainting. It was once thought that Lunar Rabbit's could grant one eternal life and as such, they were hunted to near extinction. Though this myth is false, it doesn't stop the night markets from paying hunters to capture this species to sell at a profitable rate. A price that the Koto family paid dearly. Mitsuki was forced to watch as her parents were killed right in front of her eyes and she was helpless as her siblings were sold off one by one. Now she is all that remains, stuck in a cage until she too meets her fate at the hands of the buyers wandering the night market looking for exotic wares.

Figuring that if he could garner a fitting price then the noose around his neck would be lifted. Athen was humming along to the radio as they drove along in the truck he was just returning to the night market. He had went and saw a lot of sad looking supernaturals and it was hard to not buy everyone in sight. He felt bad that this was how they decided to deal with the humans and supernaturals that instead of locking them up in cages and the rich buying them as servants and live in prey they should be able to apply for jobs instead. But here they were, driving home in the truck. Speaking of he looked back in the truck through the rear view mirror at the three that he had picked. A wolf, a fish, and a rabbit...all three were bound as per rules of the night market When leaving they were to remain bound so they didnt do anything funny in transit to their new homes.

At home the servants they had were hard at work getting the three bedrooms ready for the new intakes in the children's wing so they lived across the hall. He sighed as he looked to the servant who drove them then to the window as they drove through the castle's forest. The road winding slowly until they came up to the gate. The servant got out and punched in the code before quickly getting back in and driving forward again. Soon the castle was in sight and Athen sighed at it...home. Where his family lived where his siblings lived...and now where the three in the back would live. Slowly the truck wound up to the front door and he waited for the servant to open it when he did servants came out of the castle to help.

Athen walked to the back as well before he finally spoke "Cut their binds if you would Felix..." he spoke to a servant who came forward producing scissors and began to cut the ropes one by one that wrapped around their hands. Athen then regarded them with a nod and offered a smile to them "Uh well welcome to the Lacrosa castle. If you would follow me and Felix we will get you to your rooms." He spoke to the three. He looked to another Servant "Can you let Vincent and Bavol know that i have returned?" he asked in a polite tone which the servant nodded and quickly went off to do just that.

EVANDER
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Thump-thump.

He wouldn’t admit but his heart was racing deep down and the twang of nerves was gnawing at Evander. There was a peculiar stillness rooted on his bones. He could feel his breath becoming heavier—the tiniest bit nosier.

But he mustn’t betray himself.

The man that bought him played on his mind and with the occasional, fleeting glance, crimson eyes burrowed down into back of the man’s head. Now and at times his nose twitched as something tickled him—there was so many smells stirring in the small space that it was overwhelming and weighing on him. He didn’t like being cooped up this this, bound and held prisoner. Even if he somewhat signed up for this turn of events, even still, his insides churned nauseatingly. Even if Evander hadn’t spoke during the drive, his ears flinched and would falter over his waves of black hair as they absorbed the littlest tingle of noise.

His eyes widened almost innocently as the castle pulled into view. Was this really were he was going to be living? It was so big! Huge even—certainly too much for him. The wolf would have pressed both hands firmly on the glass if it wasn’t for the fact they were currently knotted together. Instead settling as he eased on the seating with his chin nestling in the warm wrapping of his coat.

Once the vehicle came to a slow halt on the grounds Evander was wary to step foot outside. His insides tugged at him to remained seated—but curiosity and instinct persuaded him to venture outside, slowly. Rooms? What would their rooms even look like? Evander couldn’t remember when last having his own room, now that he thought about it!

Air,” he breathed in, and then out. It smelled so good—felt good too, once his hands were free.

His ears straightened upright and appeared alertly to his new surroundings. As the man spoke in that moment, addressing the three, Evander turned as his eyes fell onto the unfamiliar face and drank in every detail. Instinctively, out of habit, whatever he would call it. Something spurred in him to follow this man—not that he really had a choice? A dogs prerogative perhaps.

BAVOL
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Bavol had been sitting patiently on the window-ledge as she spied down at the approaching vehicle. Fingers lightly smudging against the hard glass as she strained her eyes down at the scene below, as her brother made his return. Athen. So, he had finally proven true on that promise to bring back live-in prey. Bavol sensed her breath warming in her throat with excitement. Something new from the outside—here.

“Finally,” came whispered relief. She couldn’t recall how long she had been sat there aimlessly staring out from the window. Too long, presumably. Yet Bavol could already feel the point on her fangs press against her tongue. But she then recalled the cementing demand of their parents—to not kill—lest she wished to lose her new prey. But even that word felt insulting. How could she deem something, rather someone as mere prey when she was going to be living with them? Prey was claimed for death. This… wasn’t like that.

So, don’t be greedy.

Bavol would tell herself that.

There was an eventual knock on the door and a servant approached with the politest bow. “Athen has return—”

The young woman was already making bounds out the door before the man could finish. Eagerness propelled her on every step as winter-white hair poured down like falling liquid, bouncing along down the hallway as she made a deliberate route for the new bedrooms that had been specially made up for their new guests. She had already guessed that was where they would be heading in due course and maybe she just wanted to get their first—or at least ahead of Vincent anyway, because why not? Delicate footfalls swarmed down the stairs and tapped lightly over the hard flooring.

She was
hurrying.

Finally, the Lacrosa siblings were granted live-in-prey after so long. It's a brilliant idea brought up on by his elder brother. Though, Vincent had not expected his parents to accept, and under illogical conditions. To have prey, but not kill them. How would it even work with how incredibly greedy his siblings are? Compared to his brother or sister, he was the black sheep of the bunch. Whatever they did, Vincent would do the opposite unconsciously. His love for the old human civilization makes him even strange as his family assumes he wants to be a human. Really, he had admiration for their ability to create such as rock music. If not for them, there wouldn't be an music at all.

Even now, Vincent nods his head to the beat of a song in his neon lit room while laying on his bed, bouncing a ball on the ceiling. His curtain, open as he waits for Athen who just so happened to arrive with their "guests". Vincent drops his headset, and shoots to his feet to peer out the window. His magenta eyes gloss over each creature. A rabbit, a fish, and a wolf; or as Vincent likes to call them, "dogs". He shakes his head in disgust at the idea of a mutt in their household.

The knock on the door breaks Vincent's train of thought. "Yeah?" He replied.

The servant opens the door letting the light from the hall in. "Young master, master Athen has arrived and asked for your attendance." He said.

"I see that. Where is Bavol?"

"Mistress Bavol has already been informed and is on her way down."

Vincent curses under his breath and walks out of the room in search for the girl. "Bavol!" He called out throughout the castle as he follows the girl. "I have a proposition for you. You and I both know Athen is a glutton. He'll try to take what's ours. Why don't you and I make an alliance. We keep him away from our belongings."

A small form sat curled up in one corner of the truck, legs and arms tucked close to her chest as much as she was able with bound limbs, the wind gently ruffled the light pink hair that tumbled around her shoulders. Long floppy ears sat perked up on top of her head and her nose would twitch every once in a while as the wind blew different smells around her.

Ever since she had been locked in that cage at the night market, she had yet to say a single word and the sellers would have been worried she was mute if they hadn't her crying out for siblings when the hunters had initially brought her in. She keep that silence now, occasionally shyly glancing at the other two sharing the truck-bed with her before returning her gaze to the passing scenery,

She wasn't quite sure what to think about the man that had purchased her; while he seemed kind, she knew appearances could be deceiving and his smile could be nothing more than a mask he uses to hide his true intentions.

Only time would reveal the true character of the people Mitsuki would be living with. 'Will they lock me up in another cage?' She wondered fearfully as the castle came into sight and the truck began to slow down.

She slowly scooted forward until she was able to lower herself down from the truck, holding out her hands obediently for the servants to cut off her ropes. As she rubbed the soreness from her wrists, she listened with rising awe and a healthy dose of disbelief. Was she really going to be able to have her own room? No more cages?

As she moved to follow behind the vampire, her eyes caught on the forest surrounding the castle and she idly wondered how far she could make it before she was caught. But what even waited for her out there? Her parents were dead and she had no idea where her siblings were; there was nothing for her to run towards. The idea of escape fluttered away as quickly as it arrived and she turned to quietly follow the group.

Hazel - (working on getting a fancy post)

The feeling of a net being thrown upon you suddenly was an experience she never wanted to feel again. Everything had happened in such a blur that it was hard to even tell what was actually going on. She had been just resting within the salt water allowing it to ease her tail helping the healing process the next minute all that consumed her was darkness. It didn’t take very long before she fully understood the situation she had been captured to be solid for whatever the client wanted her for. As ropes and a gag soon bound her as it wouldn’t do well if her song made the captives release her. The trip to where they were taking her to be sold was unpleasant and painful for most of the ride. With luck or sheer unluckiness it seemed she was bought rather quickly by some man who also picked others they were still bound to a vehicle.

Blue eyes blazed when they arrived at what would be their new ‘home’ and were instructed to head inside. Oh how she wanted to escape and run once the bounds had been removed. She did not make any attempt, not when she was hungry, thirsty, and not in the greatest condition to escape from a place that was more than likely filled with security. So for now she followed and obeyed best to behave save energy then take off when she felt stronger or when she could get to a body of water.

The Eldest Vampire
Athen Lacrosa
Athen was giving all three of them the benefit of the doubt that they wouldent bolt, he trusted way too much when he shouldent...a topic his father often brought up among other things. He inhaled the night air and let it out it was a nice night for them to arrive. Reaching up to slowly brush his long locks back behind his shoulders he saw the servant return with a bow. "They have been notified my lord." He nodded before he looked to the three once more. "alright lets get you inside." he nodded and took up the rear as they ushered in the three different beings.

The castle was very homey if it had to be given a word to describe it, all the decorating was thanks to their mother wanting a more warm approach than a stone cold one that the usual vampire castles seemed to have. Athen let themtake it in before him and felix began to show them up and to the wing that they would be staying at. He wasent surprised to see Bavol waiting and soon after Vincent came by as well. He waved to his siblings and then nodded to the three "So uh these are my siblings Bavol and Vincent....uh oh and incase you didnt catch it im Athen." he spoke a bit awkward. He then perked a little "Ah! I know since you both are here want to show one around? Im sure that they would need to know where they can get food and all that...oh and i guess thier rooms as well." he thought on any other place they might want to take them. Shaking his head Athen looked to his siblings "ill let you two pick first whoever stikes your fancy." he gave a nod.

EVANDER
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Evander couldn’t recall knowing someone to have such long hair quite like the man did, as it drooped all the way down his back at some length. An inspired glint swelled over his ruby eyes when lingering on the dark waves for but a moment, as the wolf followed on with the other two girls, curiosity building within his shell with every step taken. Certainly the castle’s interior wasn’t how he imagined it would have been; it was warmer and welcoming almost, and not the typically thought-of cold and seriousness others adopted for their own. Of course that wasn’t to say Evander had much experience in vampire castles—or any castle for that matter!

His chest pushed out and then drew in. As they made quick ways for their destination, upon arriving soon after, he quickly took note of the presence of a woman, and then another—boy. Yeah, he looked the troublesome sort! Ah, but these were the man’s brother and sister? Evander maybe shouldn’t have thrust judgement on them so soon. But right now he didn’t feel the need to familiarise their names on his tongue but made a small note somewhere in the back of his mind.

Bavol, Vincent and Athen.

Evander couldn’t deny that the thought of being picked felt daunting. Maybe it just cemented his time here more officially and reaffirmed the identity of becoming someone’s pet. Not that running away was presented at the forefront of his mind just now—but certainly, there was a wide-open forest out there that was itching on him to explore. At the lingering notion Evander smoothed round on his heels and inched some steps closer to a large window close by, with both hands feeling on the glass as his eyes flickered over the vast trees that rooted around the castle. If his tail had been out it most definitely would have been wagging.

The outdoors. Flecks of air would slip around the frame and just about reach his nose. He wanted to be out there—not here, and not picked. The more he thought on it, he wondered—if—he wasn’t chosen, would he be let go? Released into the woods and never to return? Now, that was something! Evander prayed he wasn’t picked if that could be the case. Right?

BAVOL
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

She sensed her brother close on her heels. “That’s my name,” would come his answer.

Once she finally stopped and waited on the desired wing, Bavol turned and faced the younger vampire with both hands lining against her hips. “And who’s to say this isn’t another of your tricks?” Accusative blue eyes bore down onto the young man as if seeking out what ounce of truth there really was in such alliance. While it was true their older brother was a massive glutton and could over-stretch his hunger at times, her little brother was the family prankster as well; which often left Bavol to be too cautious at times between them both.

She pondered on the possibility that her half-pint brother was being genuine this time around. Though if he wasn’t, Vincent was sure to feel her temper quick time. Bavol paused briefly, “very well, little brother.” Cold fingers would reach out and comb through his messy waves of hair, almost with an affectionate undernote. “If you need help with handling your prey you know you can come to me,” her voice hushed and velvety.

Not so long after their older brother arrived with their three guests. Something vivid swirled in Bavol’s eyes as she turned her attention onto the individuals. Sparks of awe would pour from the woman as she stepped forward, instinctively drawing herself closer to the three. “Ladies first, then?” She dismissed Vincent for a moment, after all, she was his big sister and should pick first naturally.

Almost immediately she was allured on the mesmerizing redness of hair that curtained from the woman that adorned bright blue eyes. Bavol wandered a few steps closer, hand outreached towards the siren—yes, she must have been it! She had known there was going to be one of the woman’s kin brought as Bavol had expressed an interest to Athen about it, as it fell onto her brother to select their prey from the market. So much so that she had made sure preparations for the sirens room were exactly as needed—she wouldn’t want the poor mermaid to dry out in their home, after all.

“Dear, you must feel so dreadful from that journey?” Bavol asked with her most humblest voice—such reserved especially for guests, and those of interest to her. “Come, come,” cooed her soft voice, “I’ll draw you a lovely bath—one your kind will enjoy, and I’ll bring everything you need.”

Her fingers wound around the young woman’s wrist and gently urged her forward a step, beckoning her to follow. “Your room is the furthest down this hallway, but it’s so lovely, I made sure it would be to your liking,” there was so much Bavol wanted to show the girl, despite only just meeting, she was sure she had put more effort in than either of the boys had to make her prey comfortable. Whatever it was, there was a lingering unspoken coolness about this girl and she hailed from somewhere far away outside the castle. Somewhere quite unlike Bavol would have seen or known. “This way—”

An awkward moment struck the whitehaired woman. “—oh, pardon, what is your name, dear?”

889e957c69414b68b0c35369b9561f26.jpg Vincent rolls his eyes at Bavol's accusation. She wasn't wrong to be cautious considering his previous antics. "I hear ya, but this is different. When have our parents ever been gracious about our ideas? Never!" He answered. "This is the one time we're allowed to treat ourselves, and if something goes wrong, we will lose their trust until for possibly, pfft I don't know, a century? My point is, Athen's greed will be a problem in the future. If he oversteps, we rely on each other to keep peace. Everybody wins." To an outsider, it may seem as though Vincent is planning against his brother, but in truth he was merely avoiding future conflict. Thankfully, Bavol accepted his offer as she wove her fingers through his hair. A sign of endearment she displays when in a good mood. It felt rather condescending for the lad or rather he saw it that way as he's always been distant with the two despite how much he cares for them.

Vincent grumbles under his breath as he fixes his hair back in place. At the same time, the prey they've been waiting for have finally entered the castle. Each specimen gave off their own scent. Vincent's speculation was correct. One of them reeked of wolf, another, the smell of the sea, and lastly a unique, sweet scent from a rabbit girl. Her fragrance was soothing. Perhaps her blood will also be just as rich?

Athen made sure to introduce his siblings before suggesting to give each person a tour. Before Vincent could make a move, Bovol has already made her way towards the redhead. The way his sister practically drooled over the mermaid was a priceless image. She even went as far as to play nice with her as she rugs her to the bedroom.

With the girls out of the way, Vincent was left with the only option between a werewolf and a rabbit. When Athen asked for his preference in creature, Vincent mentioned not caring what as long as he has his own prey. Looking back, perhaps he should have specified. "Seriously? You bought a dog home after I told you my distaste for them?" He started. "They're wild and messy. They'll bring down the whole castle with their size." He pinches the bridge of his nose already concerned for the castle. What will mother and father think? "Whatever, I'm not choosing the mutt anyway. He will be your responsibility."

He glares at the wolf as he struts over to the strawberry-haired woman. He lowers himself at eye contact while wearing a mischievous smirk. His sharp fangs visible, and his magenta eyes glow with interest. He tips her chin with his index finger, "it looks like it's you and me, sweetheart." The same finger brushes along her jawline down to her neck. As tempting as it is to feed on her, it would be unwise to try on the first day. There is no chance he is willing to fail before his siblings. He will never hear the end of it. "Alright, come on." He sighed as pulls away from her. "I'm only going to give you a tour once, so pay attention." Vincent gestures his index finger to follow as he leads the way in the opposite direction Bovol went, down the hall. "First stop, the kitchen."

Athen watched as his siblings took who interested them and he couldent help but to smile "Awh come now vincent they are not THAT bad." he turned to the werewolf who was gazing outside to the vast forest that enceircled thier castle. For a werewolf it certainly could be enticing to look and want to be out there. He watched him for a moment longer before stepping up and inhaleing the smell of the werewolf from a non creepy distence. he smelled amazing actually all three smelled amazing and he couldent help but want to taste all three. But for now hed have to ignore his hunger it would be rude to bite so early when they first met. His eyes drooped to half mast at the thought and he drooled at the throught of biting down on that pretty little neck of his and drinking deep. But not too deep he couldent kill them his parents were gracious to let them have these three. What kind of child would he be to betray thier trust? Licking his fangs of the drool and coming back to earth he steped closer.

He looked outside the window now to the forest for a moment then to the wolf who stared longing out to them before he spoke "Well it looks like you are with me." he said with a nod he steped away so he wasent so close and tilted his head. "Now would you like to see your room? Its pretty nice if i do say so myself." He gently tugged on his shirt a couple times before he lead him over to his door. Opening it he stepped in. The room was made up in cool blues and blacks and whites ina tasteful manner, it also felt more homey like the rest of the castle was done up. "This will be your room and like all rooms has a closet and a added bathroom to boot!" he said as he pointed to the two doorways. "I can get you some bath fixings like shampoo, conditioner, and body wash and the like. but for now you have some towels and also we went ahead and got all of you a couple clothes sets....i hope they fit you." he nodded as he explained.

EVANDER
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Fanged-brat!

Evander had listened on every word spoken from the other boy—but he didn’t rise to it. And yet an uncomfortable jitter slithered down his spine as he saw from the corner of his eye just how eager and desperate the other was looming in on the rabbit-girl. Tsk! He was rather glad to not have been chosen by that boy, however. His attention was quickly stolen when the man who had bought him approached and claimed Evander to be his. “Ugh,” crimson eyes fluttered over the long-haired man that he knew to be Athen—and who had been staring at him far longer than what might have been deemed acceptable.

But the mentioning of a room? His own?

Ok,” came his answer. What harm could it do to explore even a little, just now? Not that he was given much option as soon Evander found himself following on after the man. When approaching the door, he hesitated for a moment; searching over the other for guidance until eventually deciding to step inside.

The room was spacious and welcoming with its wash of blues and blacks and whites. Homely, and inviting, and not like anything he was used to before. “A closet and… bathroom? Rooms can actually have those?” My, how the other half lived! It almost—almost—made him wished he had been born into such a family, but not quite. As his curiosity got the better of him, and with his inquisitiveness growing, Evander had a nosey inside the large closet and noted the few sets of clothing that hung. Perhaps not his style exactly, but the wolf could adapt and experiment. “Should I get changed, now?” An unsure head tilt would be aimed at the man, and he sounded even more unsettled when remarking, “do you plan on watching me?”

Did he just say that? Well, it was hard to say how much Athen trusted him to be alone right now!

Had Athen expected him to dress a certain way? Evander didn’t know how to feel about that. Although, he could feel a surge of warmth clawing up his neck over his own words. This was all a bit much for someone who had been bought—and yet, he was being treated more princely than he could have imagined. “You’re awfully generous,” Evander commented when closing the closet door for a moment, and cautiously turning his complete focus on Athen. “What’s the cost?” Ruby eyes drew on the man in a snap. “Generosity doesn’t come for free.” A lesson he had learned well over the years.

A nervous hand came to smooth against the side of his neck, as if foretelling what was to come. He had seen how the other boy had spied the rabbit and how the woman had eyed the girl—and he was beginning to think this wouldn’t play out any differently. His black ears flexed uneasily as they faltered against his nest of hair, as red eyes seemed to understand the situation a bit more clearly just now.

“Be honest,” Evander urged, “I can respect honesty.”

Athen watched as the werewolf walk in to inspect his new living quarters. He hopped he liked it at the very least, when he commented about having his own bathroom he nodded "A while ago it wasent like that but mother took ideas how other humans lived and wished to have bathrooms added to all the rooms at the very least." He nodded he watched him walk about the room investigating it and the closet. "We sorta just picked out some clothes we didnt--" but the other asked if he planned to watch him dress and he couldent help the blush that tinted his pale cheeks. "Ah er well...no? I dont mind to step out if you like?" He was more trusting than he should be but they were at least two stories up who would jump out the window at this height? He guessed one who was dead set on escaping would.

Then the other asked a more important question...why he, well they were here and Athen looked up from his train of thought and focused on him. He was quiet as he watched him his eyes drifted down to his neck but snapped back up and he took a deep breath and let it out. "You three were bought to be our blood banks...a walking food source, or commonly known as a live in prey among us vampires. While who is whos is still the question...that is why you are here." He answered truthfully and honestly "I will however ask before i feed on you, i also wont be doing so until later. I want you to get settled first." he nodded before he then looked to the bathroom "Want to see the bathroom before we move on? Otherwise we can go check out other places if you like?" he nodded to the wolf.
