Just A Potato
Master of all things video games and cuddles.
JOHNATHAN WILLIAMS
Name: Johnathan (Johnny) Williams
Age: 17-27 (I'm open to playing him in any age along this range.)
Appearance: Johnny looks intimidating. Standing at 6'2, with a lean, muscular body, and long hair caught in dreads, he's someone you wouldn't want to meet in a dark alleyway.
Height: 6'2
Weight: 175lbs
Sexual Orientation: Pansexual - Johnny falls in love with souls. He isn't interested in aesthetics. He doesn't care about gender or gender identity. He only cares about someone's personality.
Gender/Gender identity: Johnny identifies as male, but he doesn't conform to social or gender norms. He often can be seen sporting skirts. He loves to paint his nails, and has a love for all things glitter.
Personality:
Johnny has some anger problems that he's doing his best to work through.
Outside of the occasional blow-up, and violent outburst, he's a very easy-going sort of guy.
He does his best to treat everyone the way he would want to be treated.
Living with his foster family has taught him compassion and understanding, as well as honesty and loyalty.
Likes:
- Glitter and anything sparkly. Johnny can be a man's man. He can fight, he can hunt, he can shoot a gun. But that doesn't mean he can't love things that sparkle.
- Supernatural - Johnny is a total fanboy for Dean Winchester. He's gone as far as to restore a 1967 Impala, he added everything from the tv show. Right down to the toy soldier stuck in the paneling.
- Nice people - Johnny tries to be kind to everyone, and while his temper occasionally gets the best of him, if someone is being nice, he will always respond in kind.
Dislikes:
- Alcohol - His father was a mean drunk. Johnny's never forgotten the smell of vodka on his breath as he screamed his anger away. For this reason, Johnny will never drink.
- His biological parents - As far as he's concerned, they can both go die.
- Abusers of any sort. Nothing boils his blood quite like someone who is willing to hurt another person.
Personality Pros
- Johnny is always willing to listen, and while he can't always offer advice, he can offer a shoulder to cry on.
- Johnny is non-judgmental about most lifestyles. Are you gay? Cool. Straight? Also cool. Christian? Neat. Pagan? Wiccan? Buddhist? Atheist? Awesome. The only thing he hates are assholes and douche bags.
- Johnny is a pretty laid back sort of guy. There are a few things that will set him off, but for the most part, it's hard to piss him off.
Personality Cons
- While his temper is hard to ignite, it is there, and it is dangerous. To cross Johnny is a risk most people aren't willing to take.
- He's sensitive. Maybe more so than he should be. He tends to feel things pretty deeply, and this has lead to some people believing him to be gay.
- He can be clingy. Johnny tends to latch onto people when he starts to really get to like them. So many people have hurt him or abandoned him in his lifetime that when he finds someone to trust, he clings.
Fears:
- His bio-parents. He's not actively afraid of them anymore, but his father still haunts some dreams.
- That Etienne (Foster father) will die in the line of duty. His dad is a tactical response unit officer, and that causes Johnny some stress.
Goals:
- His biggest goal in life has been realized. He owns his own shop, and he restored an impala. He's not sure what more he could want in life. He has a house, a stable job, a kick ass car, and a pet duck. Maybe a stable relationship?
Quirks or habits?
- Johnny loves his dreads more than anyone should love anything.
- He sometimes wears skirts and jewelry.
- He often paints his nails, and they're usually sparkly.
- Glitter and anything sparkly. Johnny can be a man's man. He can fight, he can hunt, he can shoot a gun. But that doesn't mean he can't love things that sparkle.
Backstory:
Johnny has some anger problems. He grew with a father who believed men were men, and women were beneath them. At the age of nine, his father caught him wearing one of his mother's skirts. It ended with a broken arm, and plenty of bruises. After nearly a full hour of coaching, his father took him to the ER, where his son smiled through tears and told the doctor that he'd fallen from a tree.
It was the day that Johnny learned he had to hide who he was, and how he presented himself to the world.
Since entering the foster system, and being placed with a very open-minded family, he's managed to come out of his shell quite a bit. It was nearly a full year in, after countless fights with his foster brother, and several physical altercation with his foster father (all started by Johnny, and all ended by his foster father) that he realized they weren't going to throw him away, nor were they going to snap and treat him like his bio father had.
It was then that he tearfully confessed his love for 'girly things'. How he longed to wear a skirt, how he loved the color pink, how he wanted to do his nail and wear jewelry.
He'd expected anger, disgust, and fists. He'd expected to be kicked out.
Never had he expected acceptance.
Since that day, he's only grown closer to his foster family. As far as he's concerned now, they're his only family.
