World of Darkness

It was day six of her imprisonment at this location. In that time they had tortured her ten times in hopes of getting various information out of her as well as to study her rapid healing traits. They were starting to use more extreme measures now and she knew that if this kept up she would be seriously hurt and might be unable to get out on her own. Sitting on the floor in her cell she looked out the foot thick bullet proof glass at the similar empty cell across from her own. She had already tried breaking the glass on the third day after learning what she needed to know. Which is what the plan had been. Get captured, get the information, get out. The first two had been easy if not a little painful, but now their was a flaw in the plan. They hadn't expected the getting out part to be so difficult for a werewolf of some power. She was sure she could break the glass with some effort in her crinos form, but every time she so much as touched the glass the cell was gassed with silver so fine it floated in the air as well as a gas that could knock out even a werewolf in a frenzy. They also gassed the cell every time they needed to move her, and they moved her daily. Her lungs still burned from the bits of silver lining them now.

Jinx had also tried sidestepping into the Umbra, but after finding how tainted and even more dangerous it was there in this area, as well as how hard it was to do here she had decided not to take that route for her escape. Picking at the dirt under her nail bed she tried brainstorming a new way to escape her cell, seeing as the cell was pretty well thought out however, she knew the more likely means of escape would have to be in the middle of an interrogation session. Her thoughts were disrupted however when the lights started blinking with a buzzard saying that the doors to the cell hall were about to open. After a minute Jinx could see the hall door open as well as the cell's across from hers. Tied up in a straight jacket with even her eyes covered tightly, a man and a woman in uniform carted in a woman into the other cell. Standing up

Jinx leaned against the wall to the right. "Whatcha got there? Another puppy dog?" she asked with a smirk. "Gonna break my heart if I'm not your favorite anymore ya know." she said knowing they would be able to hear her thru the mic and speaker system set up in the cells. While the uniformed woman ignored her, the male came back to her cell with a snarl on his face. A face that showed a deep scar that was still healing going from his temple to his chin. Jinx smiled widely at him remembering him as one of the men she had let take her in. Not that she hadn't put up a fight still to make it real. "You might want to get some Neosporin for that. Maybe a bandaid or ten." she suggested smugly. "Don't worry too much though, chicks totally dig face scars." she assured him to which he started reaching for the gassing button.

Jinx frowned at the result of her taunting but lucky for her the woman in uniform saw and seemed to be higher ranking. "Collins, stop." she ordered firmly. "She is due for another interrogation in eight hours and need to reserve the gas for that." she snapped at him to which he glared back at her but still stepped away from the glass, spitting at Jinx's face to which she just smiled again.

"Filthy beast, you'll get yours." he promised before walking off. Jinx watched them leave while she filed away their slip up. So the gas chambers were only good for one gassing. Which is why they were moving them around so much, they had to reset and fuel them.

Words were gone.

Sight was gone.

Movement was gone.

Adria Valentine was almost flattered by the care the humans took in escorting her. They had learned quickly that, for all her beauty, she was powerful. Of course, they knew that when they engaged her—they knew she was not like them. Her deathly pallor gave off the suggestion, as did those canines she could retract on a whim. Not that they were much use to her now, gagged as she was.

The human logic was simple: if she couldn’t speak, she couldn’t command. If she couldn’t make eye contact, she couldn’t command. If she couldn’t move, she couldn’t entrance.

It didn’t stop her from a chuckle as she heard another voice asking if she was a ‘puppy’. ‘Hardly. So I’m stuck here with some mutt.’ She’d never met a werewolf before. Seemed she wouldn’t exactly be meeting it now as she was pushed back against a wall and secured to it, still standing—always standing. ‘Clearly they don’t think these heels are uncomfortable.’ Not that the blue shoes were, but a human with empathy might have considered it.

Further conversation. The male seemed to like picking on the puppy.

Then the steps left.

‘Where are you?’

The answer came as a feeling to the bound woman, though the wolf might see the red aura as it slid in like smoke, a masculine energy, or perhaps she would see the illusion the demon wore of a red-haired, winged, creature. It reached out to the vampire, almost tender, and asked, “Does it hurt?”

‘What do you think? They burned them out.’

He chuckled. “I know where they brought your sword. It will be difficult to get to it.”

‘We’re not leaving without it.’

He clicked his tongue on the roof of his mouth. “I warned you it was not safe to go hunting the draugr, didn’t I?”

Silence.

“I could get you out.”

‘It’d kill me.’ She wasn’t certain, but the last time she’d let him run amuck, she’d ended up in torpor on their reunion. It had not been a pleasant experience. ‘What’s in the cage besides me?’

“Hm? Oh,” he shifted his attention, examining the brunette, “Nothing I care about.”

‘What is it!’

“A woman. Brown hair. Not kindred, but not human. I think she may be a wolf.” He clearly didn’t think this stranger had any idea of his existence. He’d been living so many years being unknown to others that it was just habit now.

After the guards left the lights stopped blinking. Glaring at the irritating things Jinx looked over to study her new cell block friend. The person was so bound up in straps and jacket layers she couldn't tell from here what the other person was outside of a woman. Well, that or a strangely proportioned man, but she wouldn't judge too much, stare maybe, but not judge. Okay, so she would totally judge. She admitted to herself as she took up her newest past time of staring at the only thing new she had to keep her interest.

As Jinx studied the newcomer she took interest in the sudden new feeling that was setting off some of her senses. Standing up straight she got closer to the glass door but was careful not to touch it. A red smoke like cloud made it's way into the other person's cell before materializing into the form of what if she didn't know better would be considered a spiral dancer with it's horned deformities. Possibly a meritis as well, but she had never seen one turn to smoke before. Nor had she had this unsettling of a feeling while being around one. She didn't know what it was, but it defiantly wasn't a werewolf of any kind she knew. But it's taint was also different then that of a wyrm's taint. Even so she didn't like it, it felt unnatural and set her fur on end.

Walking over to the speakers she listened as it spoke on levels of sound that only spirits tended to. But the conversation seemed to all be one sided which caused Jinx to frown. When the thing looked over at her she looked it directly in the eyes with a glare but it didn't seem to notice or care. Hearing the description he had of her she rolled her eyes and let out a huff. "I'll have you know my hair is auburn red. " she corrected him loudly so he would hear it clearly on the speakers. "You color blind or something?" she asked leaning against the wall with her arms folded loosely. "If so you should probably know that your hair is also red. Might confuse people if you tell them to look for brown. Just so you know." she supplied off hand helpfully.

The tension that flowed through Adria was like the panic she’d felt the first time Valentine had mentioned her demon, dropping it so casually her heart felt as if it had stopped for good. Astaroth also bore a shocked expression on his countenance, and he could feel the tension in his hostess. Their panic was mutual; a demon was not a thing a vampire was meant to consort with.

In an instant, Astaroth shifted from Adria’s side to the cell with the wolf, the smoke rushing through the walls as if it wasn’t even there and then ceasing, form solidifying again.

“And when should I trust the world of a color-blind dog on colors?” He hadn’t considered that red, but he supposed there were nuances and hues that he simply didn’t care about. If the puppy wanted to call it red, then it could be red. It didn’t matter what people called things, really. “So you can see me….”

Of course she could. Werewolf. They were close enough to that to be able to see things like him, when even those of the Baron’s line couldn’t.

This complicated things.

Or, perhaps, it helped things. “I don’t suppose you would need a hand at escaping, would you?”

‘What the hell are you doing?’

“I’m Astaroth and that unfortunately bound woman is my…friend,” he supposed that was the best term, “Adria Valentine. Vampire. Rich.” He said after he offered another appraising look over the werewolf.

‘Are you making deals on my behalf?’

Astaroth just ignored her, the way Adria ignored him so often in public, acting as if he wasn’t there for the sake of her appearance. Since now that was out the window, and they needed help in getting free, he imagined this werewolf wanted the same taste of freedom. That could also buy her silence.

Easier than killing her. Not preferred, but easier.

Slightly surprised by the thing's own level of shock, Jinx looked at the surprise frozen thing for a moment before it turned back to it's smoke form and came into her own cell. Not moving from her relaxed position up against the wall she gave it a bored look at first as it studied her. Hearing the insult she frowned. "One, I'm not a dog, two, they aren't actually color blind and neither am I." she said rolling her eyes before turning to have her back leaning against the wall instead.

Listening to what the thing said she rose a brow. "And why should I care about those facts? I have my own reasons for being here right now." she stated leaving out the fact that she already had completed those reasons and was now stuck, but as she had heard before, tomato/potato, or something like that. She frowned as she tried to remember if that was the right human expression. Dismissing it she shrugged and looked back at the spirity thing.

"What in it for me helping you get girly over there out? I've met a few bats before in my life, never been the most friendly of people." she pointed out as she started looking the thing over more carefully. "Never met something like you before though. You feel all, twisted, and ...icky." she said giving him a weird once over like he was covered in something gross.

Astaroth kept his face carefully impassive now as the wolf spoke, listening to her attempt to suggest she had reasons to be there. He smiled a bit. "Well, I would hate to ruin your plans," he said, taking a step back to offer space and the idea that she wasn't necessary.

Right now, she wasn't. The demon had freedom enough to run and tell Valentine. That would have results.

"If you do help, I know her to be the sort to repay her debts. Money, artifacts, passage--she would pay you back."

'Do not make deals for me.' Again that complaint.

"Although she is insisting I agree to nothing until she likes the terms." He gave a wave in her direction. "She can hear. With a bit of time and blood she can do other things, like perhaps learn to heed me."

Oh, she was seething! The anger felt empowering. Normally such a thing would have invoked her Beast, but she was Ordo. She had her Beast cowed--for that night, anyway.

Astorath chuckled, a terribly deep sound, "So, what would you like to get out of this?"

Jinx watched the spirit with a blank face for a moment while she turned the possibilities over in her mind. She knew unless her brother got word of her delayed imprisonment here strong enough backup would not be coming. However, if he did hear of it, he would come and get her and give her the beating of a lifetime for agreeing to being the bait in this half cooked plan. So would Rose now she thought of it. This really hadn't been that good of a plan she realized. She needed to get out of here and hide before they found out.

"How about this, I help get your walking corpse out of here, and she helps me with retrieving the object of my overall mission." Jinx offered. "I'm not worried about money, artifacts, or passage. I just get to use her talents to help me with my mission after that she's free to go back to whatever blood sucking thing she does in her free time." she said waving her hand in a lazy dismissive manner. Jinx frowned. "Oh, and she has to agree to not bite me or use her weird Count Dracula powers on me. I have no interest in being her bride or some such nonsense." she said wanting to set some ground rules.

The insults kept coming, and Astaroth could feel the wrath of his companion. It wasn’t even her vice of choice—no, Pride would be the death of her—which was how she ended up so damned honorable in agreements. Pride. If she said she was going to do something, she did it. “Well, Adria? Do you think you can handle not using your talents on her?”

‘Would she even know?’

“Can’t say.”

‘Fine.’

“Then I suggest calling back-up when we get this moving.”

‘How far out of the city are we?’

“Far enough that he won’t be here in a second.”

They were discussing a sometimes-friend of the city, Trevor Arachnos, whom Adria had met on a night out with the Harpy and immediately hated. That hatred had ended up in her favor after she antagonized him and had his car destroyed—his attempts to ruin her night ended up saving her life, and when the two finally, formally, met, they seemed to get on well enough to decide the other was worth living.

Not to mention Trevor had a battle lust and he’d started to like being ‘summoned’ by Adria—it always meant something fun, in his own words. ‘Understood. When do we move?’

“We move?”

That spike of anger had him laughing, and he looked to Jinx once he settled, “Adria has agreed,” he told her, “She would probably like to add the condition that she be allowed to use her powers on you if it means saving your life, if only because she has spent too many days around drunk vampires who needed a bit of…persuasion…but we’ll pass on that.”

That had been one hell of a night of Adria. “So—”

As he started to talk again, the lights began to blink. ‘I think they’ve noticed the one-sided conversation.’ Adria’s thought had a touch of derisive amusement to it.

“No, really?” and Astaroth immediately flickered back to her side, but he tossed back a, “Say the word,” to Jinx. She had been here longer. She knew a bit more as to how these humans moved.

Jinx looked to the blinking lights before looking over at the spirit thing and then to the two holes on the different sides of the cell she was in. "Can you short circuit those two gas release holes? Or at least one of them?" she asked quickly putting together a makeshift plan knowing that the guards would be in any minute now to gas her chamber having seen her talking to herself and being up to something.

Looking at the spirit she waited for his answer while the gears in her head turned for what tools she had available to her in the mean time if he couldn't. Her best chance would be to act now while she had an alliance close by to use. She failed to act now and it might be another week before an opportunity presented itself. Quickly she started taking off her patient shirt and started crumpling it up.

Astaroth flickered close to the holes, examining them, “Not quite, but I can scatter what comes out of it away from you,” he’d done this with other things that came at Adria. With his shriek he could send all kinds of things away from his position. If he stood in front of the werewolf and used it, no doubt it would be able to scatter the poison that would leak out.

Another flicker of red and he was before Jinx. “Stay in one place.”

‘Astaroth….’

He could hear the warning, the question. Was now the best time? He knew her concern. Adria would have preferred to be in a better condition. “You can gorge on the corpses,” he suggested. Blood was what a vampire needed to heal. The more Adria was able to get, the better she would be.

The better he would be, as well. “Ready?” He asked her.

Her silence was answer enough.

“What the hell is going on down here?” A voice asked as one of the humans came down, “Have you snapped at last?”

The female one from before seemed to consider something else. Rather than go to gas the chamber, she looked in on the vampire, wondering if it was another trick of the vampire in play, one that they hadn’t been aware of.

Seeing the female was going to the vampire cell instead Jinx let out a smirk before focusing on her crinos form. The guard's distraction would give her the time she needed without raising the alarm. Bones started snapping as parts grew and were changed to fit her new form, auburn red fur covering her body as her statue grew several feet and claws replaced hands and a snout full of razor sharp fangs took over her face. Breathing in deep as the familiar but painful change finished after a minute it being harder without being in the heat of the moment.

Popping her neck to both sides, she looked back at the spirit before giving it a wolfish smirk. "Keep that out of my lungs." she instructed, her voice now much more deep a gravel like sounding as her vocal cords were no longer entirely human like. She snarledbefore cracking her knuckles and taking in a deep breath before jumping forward and letting out a deafening warrior roar. A roar that even without the help of the mic and speaker system was enough to rattle the walls of her cell and the few surrounding her's as she slashed at the glass. Shards of bullet proof glass shattered across the cell as alarms started blaring loudly through the cell block calling it a code yellow.

Continuing her assault on the glass she snarled and continued to use her roars as her ki call to strengthen her attacks. After only a few moments she was already an inch into the glass, layers of the glass cracking in on itself as she torn chunks of it away from it's hold in a savage manner.

Astaroth knew he ought to relay what was going on to his charge, but there was little time for such a luxury. She could hear it all. She could imagine for herself—and imagine she did. It wasn’t far off, since she knew a werewolf was on the other side. Of course, the wolf in her head had black fur and silver eyes, despite the fact he’d told her this one was a brunette.

And it claimed to be a red-head.

Admittedly, the fur was a bit ruddy.

As the humans heard what was going on, one immediately ran to gas the room, and Astaroth moved to be near the wolf. He waited a few beats, waited until the silver started to flow into the room.

Then, he shrieked. It was a sound that touched to the material plane, and scattered the silver, pushing it against the opposite wall.

The human hunters outside heard it, and stared immediately at the cage. “Shit.” The male ran.

The woman flung the door to the vampiress open, grabbing a wooden stake from the belt around her hip, deciding the vampire was clearly the one aiding.

‘Shit!’ Astaroth was now mute, the shriek depriving him of voice, energy depleted. Without having his own body, all interactions with the material plane were difficult, to say the least. Which meant he couldn’t even warn Adria.

Seeing the woman guard going for the stake at her side, Jinx redoubled her efforts, blood from glass cuts was spraying across the cell as she flung the glass to the side, making it pass the half way mark, Jinx moved back slightly before rushing towards the door and slamming her kneecap into the weak point in the glass shattering large chunks of glass forward and impaling the guard lady in several areas of her back and legs. Putting her knee back down she could feel it was shattered in several spots now but knew that it would be healed in a matter of minutes.

Standing to the side, Jinx started pounding on the remainder of the glass to make the hole big enough for her to fit through without cutting herself open. Stepping out of the cell she looked down at the still breathing guard, looming over the woman with a snarl on her face as blood flowed from her claws and kneecap.

Adria could hear the steps. She could all but smell the fear of the beating heart, pulsing blood quickly through her would-be attacker. The steps were determined, and Adria understood she was taking the blame for what Astaroth had started.

‘Fine.’

The blood in her body moved rapidly, suddenly, a flush of color briefly touching her pallor. She hadn’t tried this yet—it would have been stupid to waste her blood when she was surrounded, but now it wasn’t. Strength pushed through her, the supernatural Vigor burning through Adria, and Adria clenched her fists in the jacket.

The glass shattered, and Adria felt the warmth of Astaroth return, and understood he was unable to act. He’d drained himself trying to keep her from the hunters in the first place, no doubt the shriek had depleted him to nothing again.

Adria pushed against the restraints with the new strength and the fabric broke, thread by thread, allowing her to reach forward and grasp the wrist, hearing its location through the tell-tale beat of the heart. Her thumb brushed the stake in understanding as the guard remained frozen in place, stricken by fear as she was held by the once-restrained vampire, and looking upon the horrifying werewolf.

And she was alone.

Jinx looked briefly to where the vampire had busted free of her restraints before focusing again on the woman. Picking her up by the front of her shirt she brought her close to her face and she gave a dark wolfish grin. "I'll have your pass code if you don't mind." she stated knowing they would need it to exit the cell block, and as such they would need her alive. "You betray me, I pull your spin out your throat." she warned with a snarl at the end of her threat to strengthen it.

Walking over to the door she dragged the woman after her, not caring if the glass shards made their way deeper into the guard's frail skin. "You coming whitie?" she called over her shoulder not really caring now she had gotten out of that glass cell.

Gag removed, Adria knew she could at least feast when allowed, but it didn’t do her much for the way of conversing. Her tongue was still absent, a loathsome state with such a talkative wolf.

Though Astaroth’s touch wasn’t quite physical, she could still feel something akin to warmth when his energy made contact with her arm and seemed to suggest direction. Adria could hear, of course, but she couldn’t discern where walls or doors were.

The woman spit out, “I’m not going to help you scum,” for she wanted to firmly believe that the other guards and hunters would soon be swarming this area and they’d put the beasts back in the cages where they belonged.

All the while, blood continued to burn itself up in Adria’s body, healing, desperately healing, trying to restore the tongue that would, indeed, allow her to force the guard to comply with her demands.

Well, not force. No eyes. But she could try the ‘honey’ tactics.

Soon enough, they were at a door, and Astaroth’s pressure, along with the ceasing footsteps, was enough to cause Adria to stop.

The huntress did not so much as look at the security pad.

The intercom above them buzzed to life.

The werewolf looked down at the woman with a frown. "Very well." she said with an erie calm voice given her previous rage and current form. Picking the woman up she held her up in front of the vampire. "Feel free to eat her. I'm sure it will help you gain back some strength." she said and held the woman off the ground so she couldn't run away from her fate.

Jinx looked back to the keypad and frowned, electronics and her had never gotten along. And this was high tech electronics. She was debating just smashing it to pieces when she heard the intercom above them buzz.

“We can see you.” The voice over the intercom said, as the huntress was held up, thanking her lucky stars that the voice seemed to still the vampire. “Release the hunter and step away from the pad, and we will consider that this never happened.”

Adria tilted her head up. A wicked smile painted her lips, and she reached for the huntress before the wolf could consider what was being said, immediately digging her fangs into the woman’s neck. First, there was an outcry of pain, but then the woman melted into the pleasurable sensation as Adria held her close, draining the blood quickly—but not completely.

She shoved the anemic woman away, getting a hold of herself as she licked the blood off her lips. “I released her,” she taunted the voice, but then let her attention go to the woman.

She did not need eyes to reveal, just words, and they came out honeyed as she said, “Please, tell us the password to get out of here,” the power activating as her skin seemed to briefly color with the burned blood the power required, giving her a momentary glow.

The huntress knew she shouldn’t, but her resistance faltered. Her mind was still hazy from the bite, and a dreamy look was in her eyes. “It’s 9-7-7-4-2.”

“Thank you, love.”

There was a slam on the other side of the intercom.

"Nice trick." the werewolf commented before punching in the code with the tips of her claws. As the doors slid open, a new more annoying siren started blaring as a electronic voice kept repeating code red over and over again on ever speaker box. Passing one of them, Jinx punched it and pulled the wires out to shut it up. "Man that thing is annoying." she muttered under her breath as she moved forward. "Have your spirit buddy scout ahead, see how many guards there are waiting for us with wooden and silver bullets." she instructed.

Looking around the hall she searched for some kind of mapping system before noticing the various colored lines painted on the ground going in different directions. "Which color would you pick for an exit, blue, orange, red, or yellow?" she asked the vampire not knowing. Every time they had finished torturing her they had drugged her again before taking her to a new cell. Helped make sure she didn't know where she was or the base lay out she supposed.

The trick was only effective in getting the code. The woman was not entranced, and immediately hated herself for what she’d done—and realized it had been another of the vampire’s damned mind tricks. ‘Daeva.’ She reminded herself of the bloodline as she reached again for the stake.

This time, Adria had no mercy on her. With a quick step, she grabbed the wrist and pushed the woman against the wall. Again, her teeth bore into her as the werewolf punched in the code and the door began to slide open with the electronic hum. As Adria drank deep, drank her dry, the siren buzzed and was then silenced.

She turned away from her dead meal at that point, and nodded her agreement with the werewolf’s assessment of the alarm, before following along.

“Only if you agree to never refer to him in public,” Adria indicated. Even she did not speak to give the order. It was a casual gesture, a brushing of blonde hair back behind her ear, that Astaroth was trained to respond to.

He shot forward as that red smoke, “I prefer others not to know. As for color…red usually means exit.”

That wasn’t a guarantee, but it was a good guess since she couldn’t see how the colors were laid out, or if there were any other indicating marks. She only had the colors that the werewolf provided.

Feeling that the vampire's guess was as good as her own, Jinx started leading the way down the red lined path. Around her she could see other cell blocks, but from what she could tell they were all empty so she wasn't going to waste her time on them. Besides, this place probably didn't have too many residents yet given they fact they had to constantly move them around as well as it being a brand new facility. She had been told her first day here she had been their first guest to their strongest fortification yet. A track record she had a goal of giving a bad start too.

The sirens were making her head hurt, she could tell they had included dog whistles in them when they made them. A low but well thought out tactic she must admit. This place had spared no expenses or knowledge when they made it. Eventually the red path led to a door with a large red X marked on it. To the side was another code pad. Typing in the same code the machine gave out a low annoying buzz sound and the door didn't budge.

Instinct and intelligence kept Adria from walking into a wall as she did her best to try and step where she was certain the wolf in front her had stepped. ‘When I get my hands on the one who burned my eyes….’ They would come back, of course, but burning more blood for it now seemed a fruitless idea.

She could feel the Beast within in its exhaustion, begging for blood, and Adria knew she’d used most of what she got from the woman already. Humans didn’t have nearly enough blood in their body.

The wolf stopped short, and Adria quickly paused so she would not run into anything.

A low buzz.

Adria frowned. “I can’t talk to machines,” she admitted. “We need another human, or another way.” And again she thought of the sword she was parted from. Astaroth claimed to know where the humans had put that. ‘Should have mentioned that first….’ But now he was too far away. “Are we near other passages? Is the door thick?”

Perhaps the wolf could simply tear through it.

Jinx reached forward and banged on the door once and listened to the sound. "About a foot thick of metal." she admitted to the vampire. Frowning she looked back over at the key pad. Digging her claws into it's mechanics, she ripped it from the wall and looked back at the door. "Well, that didn't work." she said before tossing it over her shoulder.

Looking around the area she could hear the sounds of foot steps rushing about as they tried to find the both of them. Looking up Jinx got an idea. "Hey, stand back for a second." she instructed before reaching up to the ceiling and digging her claws into the thinner metal sheeting. Twisting it, she tore the panel off and chucked it to the side. "Alright, we're going up," she stated before picking up the smaller woman and tossing her into the electrical crawl spacing. Jumping up and holding onto the siding, she let herself transform back into her homid state before crawling in pass the vampire, not wanting to be the one shot at if the guards got their guns in the opening she had made. "Follow me quickly. We'll try and make it to a service exit."

The metal of the door was thick, and Adria mentally cursed. Shame she couldn’t talk inanimate objects into doing her will. Adria flinched at the sound of destruction, and frowned as apparently whatever had happened, didn’t work.

She stepped back with the request, and heard the ceiling above’s destruction. She tilted her face to look up with the sound, in spite of the lack of vision. “Up?” And just as the word passed her lips she felt herself being grabbed. The panic that gripped her was quite real—though Adria played with emotions and leading others on, she didn’t generally enjoy contact with others, especially not when it was to be thrown up into a vent and to land haphazardly on all fours.

‘Okay…is now a good time to summon the psychopath?’ She wanted to ask Astaroth, but Astaroth had still not returned.

Her heart stilled its erratic beating as the wolf moved by, though her hands clenched, nails scraped the metal beneath them, and then she followed, head bowed down, “I still have to get my sword from these hunters,” Adria noted. Exit from this building might be necessary for that, but in case it wasn’t, the wolf needed to be aware there was something here Adria needed before she went on to help the wolf with whatever she needed.

"That shouldn't be an issue. I'm still needing to get my own weapons before we blow this place up." Jinx commented as she crawled around the vents smelling the air as they went, trying to follow the way with the more fresh air. "But I don't think our weapons will be in this building. These guys are smart and won't want us anywhere near something that would give us the advantage." she said before following the air current to the left when they came to a cross ways in the vents. "They are probably studying them somewhere in another building close by though."

Coming to a grid vent going into another room Jinx peered into it through the holes to see what they would be going into. The room was full of TV's and cameras. There were two guards in uniforms frantically looked at all the different screens trying to find where their prisoners had gone and where they would show back up. Turning herself around, Jinx lifted her leg back before using her strength to kick the vent off and hitting one of the guards in the back of the legs with it. Sliding out of shaft quickly she landed on her feet and punched the other guard in the gut. As he doubled over Jinx put her fist together before bashing the same guard over the back of the head knocking him out. "Bam! Like a boss." she said pumped up and ignoring the other guard that was starting to get up.
