My all time favorite would be Star Blazers, followed by Blood, and Avatar the Last Air Bender running a close third.

It's hard for me to say as I've always had a very difficult time singling out my favorite of anything. I'll throw some names out and maybe they'll stick for a while.

Movie - Revolutionary Girl Utena: Adolescence Apocalypse (probably one of my favorite movies period, actually), Lupin III: Castle of Cagliostro, Castle in the Sky

Series - Turn A Gundam, Future Boy Conan, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Legend of the Galactic Heroes (though I've only seen the first 40 episodes or so)

If someone told me I had to pick an absolute favorite Or Else, I'd probably say Future Boy Conan as favorite series and the Utena movie.

Honorable mentions: Steins;Gate, Giant Robo: The Day the Earth Stood Still, Tiger and Bunny, Heartcatch Precure!, early One Piece including some of the older movies (until the end of Enies Lobby then it started steering away from the stuff I liked about it and got a little too sleazy with the treatment of the female characters. That's also when Toei started streeeeeeetttttchhhhhhhhiiiiiiiinnnng out the pace of the adaptation, too.)

My anime backlog is ridiculously large though so who knows what my faves will be this time next year. ...Actually I should probably watch the rest of LoGH soon.

Three, two, one, let's jam.

Special mention to Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. Shame the ending never was properly animated.

When you land the payoff after seven years of teasing that nobody was able to use to predict the twist then you're awesome in my book. More so since a huge chunk of it actually came from the anime openings - the things you see at the start of every episode.
Don't think anything will ever dethrone Bebop for me though.

In one sense, I might actually say Code Geass. Totally over-the-top, which is why it's great. It's a perfect archetype of the 'all part of my plan!' genre.

Overall, though, I think I liked Ghost in the Shell and Darker than Black S1 more; they're just more in line with my tastes.

Oh, goodness. This is a tricky one. If I had to choose, I would probably say...

  • No. 6 It was just a beautiful and incredibly emotional series. I cried multiple times throughout the course of the show, and I simply adore it. I would recommend it to absolutely anyone.
  • Hunter x Hunter I know that this is a very mainstream anime, but I love it to bits. It's very unique, or at least, I believe it to be unique. I love every single one of the characters, even though I have found a few of them to be cringe-worthy. Fantastic.
  • Ansatsu Kyoushitsu The funny thing is, I absolutely hate the anime for this piece. The manga, on the other hand, is freaking fantastic. The characters are beautiful, the pacing is perfect, and the action scenes are lovely. One of the reasons I favor this manga is because the main character, Nagisa Shiota, is not actually more powerful than everyone else. (At least, not by that much.) There are also plot twists galore, but not too many that you get confused. Overall, the manga is beautiful.
  • Haikyuu!! This is not my favorite anime, but I did quite enjoy the anime. The manga, like Assassination Classroom, is what truly fascinates me. It is filled with a diverse group of gorgeous characters. All of them have so much incredible development over the course of the chapters, and they fit perfectly with each other. I cannot imagine a better cast. I don't know if anyone appreciates them as much as I do, but they are truly beautiful.

I have many other favorite anime, but I seem to favor manga a whole lot more. I have a lot of obscure ones that I love... but I doubt anyone has heard of them. Haha.

Madoka was and still is number one. I can't explain the feeling I had after I finished it. I was just floored at the dark twisted story I witinessed. I couldn't stop thinking about the events of it.

Clannad AS is up there. Talk about a Anime that touched way to close to home. It perfectly showed the highs and lows we as humans have to go through in life. The second half of After story is masterfully done.

From the new world.

I just finished it and I'm still thinking of it. I'll put this story up agianst any show you have, that's how strong it is. The dark and horrible world that doesn't stop getting more brutal as you go is painted in grey. There is no good guys or bad guys. Just people trying to surive.

Newer anime, I'd have to say Devil is a Part-Timer

Although of all time, I'd have to say a classic like Tenchi Muyo!

I LOVE Kill La Kill. Also, One Punch Man. They're the only two animes I really like. (Most studio ghibli films are my favourites as well, especially Howl's Moving Castle. There was also another movie called Princess Arete that I LOVE!)

Saint Young Men looks rad, but I've never got the chance to sit down and watch it. :c

Sailor Moon will always have a special place in my heart no matter how many flaws I've noticed about it as I've watched it again recently. Besides that little piece of nostalgia, I'd have to say Revolutionary Girl Utena.

most likely tokyo ghoul, but i prefer the manga over the anime, so i guess it doesn't really count. so my favourite anime would probably be snk.

I haven't watched that many series, so I'm not that experienced with anime. My favourite series, so far, is GATE: Jieitai Kanochi Nite Kaku Tatakaeri.

While I usually prefer manga over anime, recently I've had a change of heart. What I mean is that I managed to binge watch four anime series in the span of four days. But, for my favorite anime...

  • Gakkou Gurashi! - Moe school girls doing moe school stuff. (':3)
  • Log Horizon - The awesome rocking opening promises lots of action and explosions. You stay for the cute ninja girl and the politics. (*^*)
  • Arpeggio of Blue Steel - It's like KanColle, but better. (*U*)
  • Kyoukai no Kanata - Fuyukai desu!!! (B')
  • Assassination Classroom - I want Irina-sensei as my sensei, nuff said. (<3.<3)

Truth be told, if I was serious in making a list I'd be here all day. >~<

All time favorite? Probably Cowboy Bebop or Fooly Cooly.

FLCL has been one of my favorite shows for a lot of reasons since the first time I ever laid eyes on it. It's just.. Well, it's FLCL. What else can I say?

Bebop is also an all time favorite though. The setting, the vibe I get from watching it, the characters and their stories. It's hard not to love Bebop.

As for anything recent, I'd probably say Tokyo Ghoul as been the best show I've seen recently.

Maybe not from an analytical standpoint, but just out of my own personal enjoyment and what it brings to the table.

No o's Bizarre Adventure. It's quite literally flawless

Part 6 is my favorite<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2016_02/1424374821226.png.d31b581442cb1ed084dc3d007dc5b2e8.png" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="103688" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2016_02/1424374821226.png.d31b581442cb1ed084dc3d007dc5b2e8.png" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

Damn auto correct

Mushishi, always and forever. The slow-paced, laidback atmosphere was my type of thing. I don't think I'll ever come across anything like it again.

Second place is tied with Madoka Magica and Death note. Madoka Magica had me convinced it was going to be a lame heroine-becomes-the-only-thing-that-can-save-the-world-type deal. But it was far different than my expectations. Even though it almost-kinda ended up like that.

Then there's Minami-ke. I just...slice-of-life is a guilty pleasure of mine I rarely indulge in. But when I do, I compare them all to this show. Not even Lucky Star comes close to me. It's my favorite of this genre.

If you like One Punch Man I suggest checking out Gintama if you've got the time/inclination. It's got a really similar flavor I find c:

I'd probably have to go Ouran high school host club because it's the first anime I watched, and what pulled me into the void that is anime.
