Deathstroke, Kamui, and Abuto all heard the engine come to life sooner than the others heard it although due to the short distance it wasn't too much faster. As they all had enhanced or superhuman senses, which included hearing. And as they made it to where the plane was, they all found the plane interesting. Deathstroke from thinking about its uses, and Kamui and Abuto in regards to the tech, as Amanto or the Harusame had never considered using such an idea. With their enhanced hearing also led them all to hear Karla muttering. Deathstroke simply rolled his eye, while Abuto bluntly stated. "Lady, does it really matter? It's more a matter of showing that we are going to be going in completely unseen. It's not like that shit's gonna kill ya'." Kamui then added. "Besides, I'd love to see how you do out there, you look like you are very passionate about this contract."

Deathstroke decided to now take the time to state. "As long as you can all very simply follow my lead, we can get this done efficiently and quickly. When we get there, I'm gonna want to see all your skills so that I can get a feel to how I can best utilize your abilities out there as I plan this. I won't be overly strict with you guys as long as you listen and not be complete tools."

Kamui took particular interest in this, "Well, I'd love to see your skills too. You look like you can handle yourself."

Jango nods towards Deathstrok. It wasn't unreasonable what he wanted, yet he didn't trust him. "As long as you can get the job done, I will follow you." He said as he checked the ship more through his HUD. There was little he could get with. Yet, from what he heard of the rest this was most likely a ship designed for stealth. If it is effective in that role, the remains to be seen.

"Depends on what he does next." The female replied, still staring Snake down, her sidearm pointed directly at his head "Who the hell are you?"
"Get on your knees!" Another soldier barked "You have three seconds or we will open fire!"
"Dig up everything you can find on the Diamond Dogs." The female officer said, speaking into her wrist "We have an intruder. Orders?"

"Oh, you betya." Karla said with a grin, cracking her knuckles together. She turned towards Deathstroke "Sure, you're in charge. All you need to do is point me in the direction of who we need burned alive and I'm game." She said
"Just no kids or people who are preggers. But that machine asshole doesn't count, ya hear? Even if he sounds like a teenager, like you said. I'm still gonna fry him."

She didn't care if the other mercs had honour, they were there to do a job and that was that. However, she wanted to get her policy out in the open as a precaution. That, and Gunter had told her to.

The contact led the group towards the aircraft and the back door opened. The interior was made up of glossy, light grey walls with three separate, large rooms. There was the cockpit, a bedroom made up of bunk beds and some kind of small-scale gym equipped with little more than two mats and some lifting equipment.

Karla immediately charged aboard, jumping on one of the top bunks of a bed and throwing some of her gear on it.

Snake got on his knees slowly, putting his hands behind his head. The soldier was silent and grim, and despite having the position of spy in this situation, everyone there could see the Soldier in him. He stared at the gun to his head without any emotion, his lone eye looking up at her.

Thor's eye twitched as he watched the human attack the man running away, leaving him with broken bones and bruises all over. "Me 'holier then thou'? You are mistaken. I am King of Asgard...a warrior. I am no fool. I planned on following him to their hide out so I could take them all out in one go, but you had to go and do that. So, Mr. Stark, or Mr. Know-it-all, perhaps if you had taken a second before acting and used your mortal brain, we would be out of this situation quicker!" As his voice got louder nearer the end, thunder could be heard from above, despite it not raining nor any sign of a storm. "And now I must wait for him to wake up from his forced slumber. I applaud thee for being dumber than Hulk."

He calmed himself down as the vampire approached him, and Thor rolled his eyes. "Neigh, I wield not the Odin force at full power, despite my father dying in front of my eyes. I am extremely powerful, but I am not all-powerful. I can die, I was born and I age...slower than even you vampires, but I do age." He shrugged and grabbed one sword in his hilt and picked up the battered man, placing him on his shoulders. He then grabbed Brother Power by his shoulder and began to walk the way the man was running.

"Come, heroic one! We shall save this town from corruption!"

"Listen I understand the idea you have brought forth, and under other circumstances that would've been the idea, however it would be too much of a risk right now to give the goon the possible opportunity to reveal the plan. As that might mean we would have to fight our way out of the city. I get being Thor you must love to do what is righteous, and slay frost giants or work to prevent Ragnarok from happening so that the 9 worlds aren't destroyed or keep going on your little fishing trips to catch Jörmungandr or finally slay it during Ragnarok... But the fact is we aren't as powerful and mighty as you, its way harder to take on an army of goons like this guy had, they stole a lot of advanced tech that would make fighting them much more of a challenge for us... It's just too much of a risk for us two..."

Yet Jolie seemed to now be talking contradictory to what Adam was preaching earlier, and all he could do was groan, take out a bottle of more alcohol, and take a big long drink of it, doing so prevented him from grasping if she were saying that as a ruse or anything of that nature. Nonetheless afterwards, he put the bottle away, callously say aloud. "Ahhhh, fuck me... Alright fine.... Whatever." Put his helmet back on hand over the goon to Thor, and check his equipment to make sure it was in working order. And began to follow Jolie, keeping stealthy was going to be extremely easy for Adam and all he could hope was that Thor would be able to do similar, the worst thing would be for Thor to be a walking magnet for getting attention from goons.

"Not as mighty as me? I'm a sewing mannequin." BroPro slumped over slightly defeatedly, still being pulled by Thor. "You ran faster than Jim Hines and you're saying I'm mightier than you? Don't beat yourself up like that, man. " The hippie sprung back up, disappointment disappearing from his posture, and a smile popping back on his face. "If you just got some of that tech, you'd be as good as the Bat!"

COMMANDER VORTEX
Mother Base
The Firehawk that had crashed into New York City and went offline reactivated. Its multitude of sensors and guidance systems immediately went about trying to triangulate its position. The whole process only took roughly two seconds, thanks to the rather vast network of satellites surrounding the planet. From there, it pinpointed its location to an oil rig off the coast of Manhattan. Advanced surveillance satellites immediately homed in onto the structure, detecting a number of armed personnel and military vehicles stationed in it.

Meanwhile, the Firehawk's optical sensors scanned the area it was in, noting that it was in a workshop or engineering bay of some kind, several men walking around. A few of its parts seemed to be missing, mostly exterior systems since the Commander had designed the vehicle to be incredibly hard to get into if it was captured.

Vortex hummed in thought as he pondered what to do. This part of him was watching over the base and monitoring global events. It was much easier and relaxing that his other part which was currently being terrible at diplomacy. While he hadn't really intended his Firehawk to crash, it had been brought into a secret base of some kind. The Firehawk wasn't supposed to be a trojan like Commander Black's Dox he had used to get aboard the Litany of Fury, but the craft's systems still allowed it to tap into computers and communications.

So he did that, the Firehawk easily bypassing the computer systems of the base, which were all apparently 1980's-era. Once the programs had penetrated deep into the network's core completely undetected, it began extracting files. He got several names, several locations, several files.

Hmm... Mother Base, Miller, Ocelot, Quiet, Snake.

So that was why it was so familiar. It was the place from Metal Gear Solid V. He hadn't played a single game in the series mostly because he didn't own a Playstation, and because they were so damn confusing.

But hell, if he could get his hands on the schematics of a Metal Gear, that would be awesome.

He continued his search, his database dive, and found the latest mission logs. Snake had been dispatched to the Indian Empire.

At the same moment, one of Vortex's Flybots detected suspicious activity of a man who certainly didn't look Indian sneaking around the outskirts of the city. The fact that he had an eyepatch and a scruffy beard all but confirmed that he was the man Vortex was looking for.

Then he was surrounded by a group of armoured and very well-armed Indian troops, who pretty much proceeded to arrest him on the spot.

Vortex didn't want to do anything rash, considering he was in big enough trouble with Venkman and Gandhi, and conducting an unprovoked attack on Indian troops would only make things worse, so for now, he could only watch and be a literal fly on the wall.

Everyone in the R&D lab the firehawk was in immediately noticed the intrusion, and their security systems activated. The Firehawk was quarantined from any more files, only getting access to blueprints for prototype Walker Gears and the schematic for Quiet's "Sinful Butterfly"
The Diamond Dogs soldiers began to aim their weapons at the Firehawk, the advanced CGM 25 rocket launchers ready to fire at a moments notice.

Miller soon swept into the building.
"What's going on here?"

"We don't know sir."
A soldier breathlessly explained, gesturing to the Firehawk.
"We think it's a sort of drone, but we did find communications equipment inside."
"Then talk to it."

A bursted signal met the Firehawk, and Vortex knew the jig was up.
"WE KNOW YOU'RE METAL GEAR."
They thought HE was a Metal Gear. Better fess up.
"GIVE UP THE NUKE."
Miller grinned. If it was an AI, maybe it would respond to that.

Noodle
Rush Valley Train station

"I'd expect so, besides they are a very loud and rowdy bunch anyway. Dealt with their antics for such a long time that I've honestly gotten used to it, having them as your only true influences in your life does that to you." Noodle said longingly thinking of many great memories with the group, and just their antics, even though they could be quite dysfunctional...

As Mark stepped outside as well as the others, Noodle followed suit by doing similar, and once she stepped out she was greeted by a collage of culture, as west met east here. Glancing around she saw the stark contrast in culture in the areas, she imagined that they might've been from the same universe but got merged together when they dropped on this new planet or something similar or to that effect. In the Rush Valley side, she saw, smelled and heard the sounds of construction, oil, and gears working as many people worked on automail limbs and other similar contraptions, which Noodle found fascinating. The people seemed to have a very hard work ethic and were working hard away at their limbs or limbs for others.

While on the Xing side, she instantly drew parallels to older style Chinese or Japanese villages, with them being shown off in the more agrarian like culture, but now it seemed the two sides learned to coexist together, it deeply interested Noodle.

Noodle was however snapped out of her pondering by seeing the little hand of Asriel come up to shake her hand, however before she could politely return the shake, she looked at Asriel and could see he had a slight distraught look on his face, it was a look she knew all too well. She knew he was thinking back to past trauma for a moment, and she couldn't help but feel bad because of her own experience at trauma at a relatively young age... Being only 15, during...

El Mañana

That song was basically cursed for her, and now... She was dwelling on it... Noodle very quickly shook her head to knock those terrible memories out of her head, if she hadn't she undeniably going to break down in-front of them, however she wasn't sure she kept any sign of that hidden, she really didn't wish to cause concern amongst Markiplier and the others.

So acting as if nothing happened, she gave a warm, reassuring smile, shaking his hand and said. "A pleasure to meet you too Asriel, I'm Noodle."

And then Markiplier followed suit with his own introduction of his name. "Again a pleasure to be meeting you, Mark." keeping that smile on her face. Trying not to show she had been in brief emotional pain thinking of her traumatizing memories while returning his handshake.

And then he pointed out his dog Chica, which she hadn't noticed until now, and that truly lifted her spirits.

"Awww, she's so cute!" And then proceeded with Mark's permission to bend down to pet Chica, soothing her slightly anxious state over the memories as she did so, relief washing over her. The relief of being able to finally put the past behind her and get rid of the trauma that briefly still shook her core... Something she truly longed for, even now.

Darth Vader - Executor
Throughout the flagship known as The Executor, crew went to their stations. Something bad happened to the ship. What first was supposed to be garrisoned at the moon of Endor, found now itself at a whole new and unidentified system. What was worse that scanners picked up multiple ships of unknown allegiance and design. Vader was in his meditation chamber. He just finished replacing the energy cells of his suit as an officer entered the room.
The offer gulped as the masked man turned around, looking at him as an omnious breathing came from the mask. "What is it?" The man snapped at the officer.
"My lord, we lost contact with the garrison at moon of Endor after a unidentified anomaly. We are currently tryi-" he was interrupted by Vader.
"Notify me when you regained contact with any Imperial fleet. Don't fail this time." Vader snapped at the man. He was sick and tired of the officers and admirals failing their duties.
The officer bowed and left. There was something off at the system they were at. The Force was strong at multiple individuals. He sensed quite a lot strong in the Light Side of the Force, Jedi. Yet he sensed something weird, very weird. As if someone who was quite strong in the Force. As strong as himself or his son. Yet, not as strong as the Emperor. But still someone with a notable strength. Perhaps a fallen Jedi Master? Perhaps an opportunity to get rid of his own Master? He couldn't tell yet, he needed to know more of this person. Without a doubt, his arrival wasn't unnoticed.

Several hours laters
Vader walked over the bridge of his ship. Several commanding officers were in a discussion. The navigation and communication crew looked up as the sound of clanking metal on the floor signaled his presence. One of the commanding officers noticed Vader and motioned to the rest to pay attention as well. "Lord Vader, we are unable to find communication with the Empire. It's as if we are no longer in comm range of any outpost or long range comm satellites. We did notice signatures of unknown design or allegiance. Several scans of the planets indicate that there is life on both planets. We also detected an arsenal of nuclear weapons. While primitive, we believe that this planetary power has used them before as several areas have unusual high radiation levels. We also came to the conclusion this was not recently. We also detected primitive communication traffic between different parts of the planet." The Admiral of the ship reported.
Vader stared at the group of officers, they once again failed their mission. Yet, it wasn't entirely gone. There were pressing matters at hand, first there was an unknown fleet nearby. While the Executor was a force to be feared, it was uncertain what this fleet could do. Yet, there were Jedi. Traitors and fugitives of Order 66. Their execution was demanded.
Then was the planetary power, while the Executor could with ease perform an orbital bombardment on it, there was yet again the threat of the fleet. The Executor was the only thing that could bring them back home. And with a limited fighter support, there was little it could do besides capital ship combat.
Also was the risk that if the Empire went to war with this unknown faction, they may not hesitate on using their arsenal on Imperial targets. This would be devastating to the point that orbital bombardment was the only chance.
There was also the chance they were in someone else's territory. Meaning there was also a risk of fighting even more ships than currently in the system.
However, the situation wasn't entirely a disaster. The ship had enough to build an outpost somewhere on the planet. "Prepare a detachment of the 501st along with a squad of AT-ST walkers, two AT-AT walkers and an IM-455 to the planet. I will lead it personally." Vader commanded and walked away after being acknowledged. The commanders were lucky, for now. Vader was going after them at a later time, they weren't completely safe from him.

More hours later, on Planet 1, 100 km from New Vegas.
About 1000 troops of the 501st along with 2000 crewmembers were setting up the IM-455. A prefabricated garrison base, one of the three the Executor had along. While well supplied to keep it up for at least a few years, it lacked soldiers. So they had to be brought from the 501st legion, Vader's Fist. They had no reinforcements or supply lines to depend on. Everything they used had to be used careful. Their only option of more supplies would be from the local population. Which was not under Imperial Rule and it was unknown what they could get.
Among the crew were 4 AT-ST's and an AT-AT. Once the base was set up, the walkers could be placed inside along with a garrison. It wasn't much, but it was a start. The Executor stood out of range as shuttles were brought along with a TIE escort.
So far, no incidents or combat had occurred, yet the crew was on their toes. As the crew prepares the garrison base, a small group of 3 TIE Fighters patrolled around it to a max of 10 km distance.

The Battle of Coruscant is one of the deadliest and brutal urban warfare between the Galactic Empire and the Sith Conglomerate. There are heavy casualties on both sides but the Imperials were pushed back when the combined forces of Lord Kenobi and Lord Vader arrived on Coruscant however they've lost many men due to the heavy resistance from the Imperial Stormtroopers however with the help of Kenobi's trained Sith knights, they would be able to push the Imperials back to the Imperial Palace. "What in the murglak just happened?" Lord Kenobi asked as he looks around at the surroundings.

"I find this very odd, my lord, we are in a middle of the desert." The Sith knight replied.

"Are we in Tatooine right now?" Lord Kenobi asked.

The tablet contained information about troop movements and about the various factions. Two raider factions were held up in two nearby supply depots, with another having taken up residence in a run-down shopping centre called a "Super-Duper Mart"

The raiders in the first supply depot, located ten miles from Vortex's location numbers brought them to thirty five strong, mostly armed with makeshift weapons an armour. There were some details on their leader, a middle-aged woman going by the name of "Noose"
There was little under her physical description, simply listing her as "Ghoul"

The second supply depot was much larger in size, at least in terms of numbers with just over one hundred Raiders under the leadership of a man calling himself "General Smithers"
He, and a smaller number of raiders had gone after a Brotherhood of Steel outpost after the fall of the Prydwen, taking everything they could get their hands on. Other raiders had flocked to them in the months afterwords, turning them into a small army.

The third and final radier group was the smallest, numbering only ten strong. According to the notes, however each raider was worth at least twenty men. There wasn't information on their personalities, only listing that the group was made up of super soldiers who had fled into the wasteland in order to escape from a war and start over.

The Minutemen's numbers were even higher than that of the Raider army, but they were scattered across the Commonwealth. Nearby outposts put their numbers somewhere between two hundred and three hundred fighters. They believed in helping others, acting as a makeshift peacekeeping force.

The Railroad intel didn't have a fixed listing on their numbers, as they were ultimately an underground organisation, but there had been sightings of Railroad symbols in the area.

"Look, people, we are finding a way to get out of this damn planet and to get back to Coruscant to help our people! Damn-.. I don't even know what happened to Lord Vader." Kenobi continued, "Now let's move! We have a war to finish!"

Lord Kenobi, the 20 Sith Knights which half of them are masked and half of them are not and the 500 troops of the 501st Legion; who were just following the Sith would walk to find a nearby settlement. Donder172 Donder172
As the group walked further, the screeching sound of TIE fighters neared them. The fighters flying past them, but most likely reported their position. They did not turn around to attack and in stead flew away.

Vader's ship was hailed by a signal coming from the fleet.

One of the comm staff picked up the transmittion. "Admiral."
Admiral Piet looked up at the ensign "Yes, Ensign?"
"We received an incommingbtransmittion from the unknown fleet. They're requesting identification." The ensign answered.
This was not good. With Lord Vader on the planet surface, he had to take the contact or talk to Vader about it. "Patch it through, Ensign. And warn Lord vader." Piet said as communication channels were opened to the fleet. "Unidentified fleet, this is Admiral Piet of the Executor. With whom am I speaking with?"

Back on the surface.
One of the comm staff approached Vader not much later. "Lord vader, the Executor reports an incoming message from the unknown fleet. What are your orders?" The man said
This was proving to be an interesting situation. Yet, now that he is on the surface, there was little he could do for the Executor. Yet, there was something off. Even more than first, he sensed something. Someone familiar, yet twisted. Something to investigate. "Report to me if any changes happen to the situation."
"Yes, Lord Vader." The man said and returned to his post.

Lord Kenobi
New Vegas - Fallout Universe

The screeching sound of the TIE fighters which are common Imperial star fighters frighten the Conglomerate army. The army stopped when they saw three TIE fighters approaching them, the troopers of the 501st Legion would aim at the incoming TIE fighters while the Siths were going to defend Lord Kenobi however the three TIE fighters fled away instead of attacking them, the troopers of the 501st Legion would raise their rifle blasters down and Kenobi sensed something, someone familiar but he doesn't know who it is, however Kenobi sensed that he will found his match great ahead.

"Those Imperial idiots didn't attack us, I wonder why." Lord Kenobi muttered.

Lord Kenobi would face the army as he would began to speak.

"We all know that there is an Imperial garrison or an Imperial base nearby, so stay sharp and stay focus! Watch your six, understood?!"

"Yes, my Lord!" all of them shouted in response.

The army continued to walk further, they are very vigilant as they believe that there is an Imperial garrison or an Imperial base nearby since they saw TIE fighters flying on the sky, the army are truly ready to fight against the Imperial troopers stationed in this unknown desert planet. He couldn't just order them to stand down. Lord Vader is in command. He looked at one of the ensigns "Contact Lord Vader... relay the transmission to him." The Admiral said and the ensign did as was asked.

Not long after, an ensign approached Vader. "My Lord, Admiral Piet asked for your help. The fleet requests our men to stand down." The ensign said, showing the holocommunication.
As communication was relayed, Vader replaced Piet on the comm. "I am Lord Vader, I command over the Executor and its crew. COMMANDER VORTEX
Twilight
Vortex bit his metaphorical lip as his Stalker's stance faltered slightly. Dammit. He should have known that nuke-loving bastard would bring up his accidental ushering of the end of the world. It really wasn't his fault. He could probably blame it on his ROB. If he still had one, of course. Or if ROBs were still around, for that matter. Time slowed to a halt for him as he diverted his processing power to forming a response. It still took longer than he expected, but hey, he was always terrible at explaining himself.

"I was scared, okay?" Vortex finally said. "When I first arrived here a day ago, I was lost and confused. I had no idea where I was, or how I got here. My core directives told me to do what all Commanders are supposed to: construct and expand. So when my sensors told me that I was surrounded by the hulls of ships with resources ripe for the taking, I couldn't pass up the opportunity for a massive supply of metal. I needed it for my constructs."

"I had to do whatever was necessary to survive. One of the core directives that all Commanders have is the preservation of their Commander body at all costs. I began to build, construct a fortress surrounding my body, as well as to scout and find out more about this world which I knew nothing of. I found many things during my initial search of the planet. Namely, the endless chaos that persisted everywhere. Cities overrun with criminals, mutant creatures rampaging through surviving cities, massive walls holding back horrific monsters, bandits and raiders ruling the barren deserts. Everything was just... wrong."

"At first, I did not want to move. I was afraid of dying- er, getting destroyed if I left my safe haven. But at the same time, I wanted to change the world. I wanted to save its inhabitants, build a better tomorrow." He sighed. "I come from a galaxy torn apart by endless war, where machines battle each other in an eternal conflict, carving trails of destruction wherever they go, and leaving the planets they had visited in ruin. Intelligent life is an incredibly rare find, and Commanders who happen to stumble across a race of sapient lifeforms choose to either preserve them at all costs, or to destroy them."

"I belong to the former. I have made it my goal to protect the intelligent life on this planet as I had several times before. I made plans to travel across the world and set up bases to protect bastions of civilisation from hostile creatures, and reconstruct and improve them. But then I saw that the people of this world were in conflict with themselves, wars between factions and governments commonplace. I also saw that not all of them would take kindly to my presence. So I waited, exploring more of the world and making sure I knew what I had to do."

"Then, I encountered him." The Stalker's optic seemed to flash a brighter blue for a second as he recounted the memory. "The giant. He destroyed my scout planes I had sent out to survey the area, threatening me for reclaiming the metal and for stepping foot in his 'sacred ground'. My processing matrix perceived it as a threat, so of course I was on edge. I tried to reason with him, but you see... Commanders aren't exactly programmed with diplomatic sub-routines. When that failed, he attacked, so I was forced to defend myself. The ensuring battle caused massive damage to the surrounding ships. I destroyed the ships because it seemed to enrage the giant. I tried to exploit that, trying to distract him long enough to take him down. I never intended to end the world. In my eyes, he was a hostile trying to destroy me."

"I'm not exactly sure what happened next, because the massive surge of energy that was produced when the giant... sacrificed himself overloaded by systems and forced me to perform an emergency shutdown. All I saw when I rebooted was the bubble of energy covering the entire area, and only a handful of surviving units. I strapped myself to a Pelican and relocated, building a new base elsewhere. Now, I'm trying to do whatever it takes to ensure the survival of this world, and the one neighbouring it."

He finished his explanation. "I'm not trying to start a war. I'm trying to prevent one."

The fact that Mother Base's computer systems managed to find Vortex (though just a tiny bit of him) surprised him. Maybe their systems weren't as bad as he thought they were. Then again, the world they came from constructed giant robots in the sixties, where your average computer had less processing power than a handheld calculator.
"I AM NOT A METAL GEAR." Vortex responded in kind, sending back a similar encrypted signal burst. For now, he needed to keep his actual nature a secret. He increased the strength of his already nearly impenetrable and hyper-advanced cyber defences and dig deeper, making damn sure it was impossible to detect. "I AM MUCH MORE."

"YOUR MAN SNAKE HAS BEEN CAPTURED BY THE INDIAN EMPIRE. I CAN OFFER YOU A LIVE FEED, SHOULD YOU WISH. BUT I CANNOT HELP YOU MORE THAN THAT. I SIMPLY CANNOT TAKE ANYMORE RISKS."

Vortex hadn't checked on his progress in the Wasteland in a while. He'd left it up to his autonomous units to do the job for him, and they were doing that well. They'd eliminated quite a number of raiders, mutants, and other hostile life, but had left the mostly innocent Wastelanders who were simply trying to survive alone. In fact, his fabricators were in the middle of constructing a small refugee camp for them to move to, providing a safe haven free of radiation, and with large amounts of safe food and security.

That was... pretty progressive, he had to admit. Maybe their basic AIs were evolving if they survived long enough.

Yet, the development was on the outskirts of the Commonwealth, further away from the main bastions of civilisation. There weren't a lot of people here, only a few settlements here and there. If he wanted to form alliances, this wasn't the place to start with.

Still, it was a start. The best way to win the hearts of people here was to promise them food and safety. So far, the safest settlement was Diamond City, along with it being a hub of trade. Hundreds of people journeyed to the place every day.

He would start there, he decided. As soon as he got his hands on enough fresh food, he would load them into his transports and send them to the Great Green Jewel.

"First off, I did not order Alderaan's destruction. The Jedi were evil. They were traitors to the Republic and the Empire. Palpatine was a democratic elected leader and the Jedi tried to arrest him without a valid violation of the law. The Republic was also corrupt with corporations controlling the system. The Empire brought peace and order to the chaos. We are doing it for the good of the Galaxy." Vader answered to the person.

"That's like turning up in a cemetery and taking the tombstones for their marble or limestone." Venkman spat "I saw the footage, I watched it a few times. He gave you plenty of chances to leave. He warned you, he warned you about the place. If you'd just listened...

And you used those souls as a goddamn tactic to piss off a giant who was just defending his land!" He yelled "Without a grave, an anchor to keep them is this world they're gone! Wiped from existence without a chance of going to the afterlife!"

Venkman gritted his teeth and flexed his head, tilting it from side to side as he tried to compose himself. The shadows were closing in on the Stalker, just mere centimetres away from it and Venkman took a few steps closer himself.

"None of that matters now, Venkman." Ghandi butted in, his tone still calm and welcoming but with a sense of firmness and urgency to it "He killed your friend. He dammed millions of souls you and the Guardian were trying to help. He's threatened the people of your country." He said through gritted teeth
"With weapons you designed." Venkman snapped
"For a contingency plan. You have to understand that not all Vampires are civilised and that India never strikes first. I am not your enemy."

He raised his cane and pointed it towards the Stalker "But he is."

Venkman shook his head and turned back to face Vortex. He clenched his fists as the shadows began to move again, making their way towards the Stalker.
"We wait. I said I'd wait until that Mage got back to me with the data Vortex gave and I'm going to keep my word, genocidal monster or not."

A phone started to ring, going off in Venkman's pocket. The ringtone composed of a young man shouting "Ring ring", getting louder as it went on. Venkman visibly cringed while Ghandi let out a heavy sigh.
"Speak of the devil." Ghandi said with a sigh, a small smile appearing on his face.

Venkman placed a flip-up phone to his ear.
"Yes. Venkman speaking. What can I do for you, fellow Mage?" He said in a friendly tone
"Venkman!" A voice replied "Where are you?!"
"I'm with Ghandi and Vortex...Or part of him, anyway. Did you look at that data?"
"You need to get out of there, now! Vortex lied!"
"What!?"
"It's just contingency plan data, like Ghandi said."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah. I've looked over the data at least five times. It looks like someone tried to mess with it too. Modify it. This stuff's full of algorithms and it's not like anything I've...
"Give me a minute." Venkman spat, cutting the Mage off

Venkman slowly lowered the phone as he started down the Stalker. He raised his hands, keeping them clawed and in front of his chest. He let out a yell as the shadows reached the Stalker, tearing it apart. The last thing Vortex would see before the transmission cut out was Ghandi winking at him, a grim smile on his face.

Venkman raised the phone to his ear
"What do we do?" The Mage asked
"Evacuate the humans, Vampires and Werewolves. Engage all defences and get the Mages ready."

He turned to face Ghandi
"I have troops waiting." He pointed out
"No. We can't risk paradoxes." Venkman spat "I'm sorry for doubting you." He lowered his head "I just hope it's not too late to stop him."
"There must be something I can do..." Ghandi said, worry in his voice
"Get that footage to the council here."
"Already done." Ghandi nodded his head "I'm sending it to several other locations as we speak. The world needs to know about his crimes and that Vortex is not to be trusted."

-SEVERAL DAYS AGO-
Sitting in a hidden bunker, far beneath the ground where even the FlyBots would not be able to touch it without a lot of effort Ghandi sat on a smaller version of his throne, watching a group of cyborgs work on holographic monitors.
"My Lord." A guard spoke "About those robots..."
"Leave it." Ghandi said with a smile "Or do you doubt The Great Firewall?"
"But our sensors detected that it was stealing government secrets..."

Standing up from his throne and leaning on his cane, Ghandi walked towards the monitors.
"How long have I been running this Empire?" He asked
"Since the dawn of time, My Lord? My ancestors followed you, as I do. From the fall of the Roman Empire, to the Southern Conquest of America. To the in..."

Ghandi raised a hand, indicating for the guard to stop.
"Knowledge is the greatest power in the universe. That is what I have learned over these few million years. It led to the development of higher technology, to the fall of lesser civilisations. With immortality and time, I have prepared for multiple attacks just like this one and so have already acted."

A grin appeared on the guard's face
"Very good, my Lord! So what are you going to do, install the bots with a virus!? Set them to self-destruct when they return back to their creator!?"

Ghandi chuckled slightly "No, my friend. Nothing so dramatic. Just a little bit of false knowledge."
He gestured to the guard to look at one of the screens "We have a little bit of artificial intelligence of our own. The data Vortex is collecting will modify itself the moment he transfers it from his servers to a foreign piece of technology. Of course, what he's collecting in the first place is false knowledge in of itself but the transfer will turn the Continent of Night against him. It will look as if it's been modified of course, but I'm counting on the Mages believing that Vortex has modified the data rather than us."

Stepping towards another screen, footage of the fight between Vortex and the giant was displayed.
"One of our drones picked up on this. With this footage, I can turn the entire world against him without risking any of our forces. We just need to sit back and allow others to destroy him. The Mages will of course believe me over Vortex on the data once I show them this image. I have negotiated with them before on our conflict with Xing while Vortex is an outsider, an AI with questionable choices."

The guard slowly clapped
"I'm not finished. Vortex is setting up his base in the Wasteland and there are a few factions in the area who might require...An extra push to rally against him. That can wait, but I'm hoping that by the time he reaches the south we will have already acted. He will be fighting a war on multiple fronts and all it will cost us is some gold.

Better that than India's citizens."

-PRESENT DAY-
Venkman stepped out of a Twilight gate and onto a hill where four dozen Mages were waiting. Some of them were armed with firearms while others wielded spears, bows and melee weapons. Venkman knew that the true power that each had at their disposal was Magic, made paradox-free due to the lack of humans.
He felt he should have given a speech of some kind but remained silent as he examined the group. This was all they could throw together at the last minute, to mount a defence as reinforcements made their way from the cities.

He looked to his left, and then to his right, taking a deep breath.

"Sir, we've seen the footage." One soldier spoke "Ghandi showed us footage of the meeting you had."
Being called sir caught Venkman off-guard, he wasn't a soldier, let alone some kind of commander. He'd been in battles to defend his country, sure but he didn't consider himself a soldier.

That was when it hit him like a punch to the gut. Spain, France, Northern Ireland. He had been a soldier from the moment he'd turned against his Seer captor. He clenched his fists and gritted his teeth, magical energy flowing through his veins. He would protect his country, he would avenge the dead and he would live through this to fight another day, as would those around him.

With the humans out of the way, the ground shifted as two Mages constructed a large, defensive wall made of dirt that stretched to about twenty feet tall and forty feet across, covering the hill When it was completed, two more Mages walked up to it and pressed their hands against the wall, turning it into hardened Titanium.

The metal doors to the left opened and the car drove inside, with the doors closing firmly behind it. There was just about enough room for one Humvee due to the lab equipment. It was stocked full of multiple machines and monitors from beyond the Information Era, with screens the size of tablets hovering around the room acting as computers and sleek, metal equipment, all of which devices for testing.

There were testing tubes large enough to put bears inside and the floor was a clean white and light green. There were other testing chambers as well, the size of classrooms for larger subjects or to monitor the progress of a group.
There were guards as well, of course. Soldiers from India's XCOM project equipped with the latest armour and weaponry. A few of them nodded at the soldiers and Caesar as he was shown around.

At the back of the lab appeared to be a lounge area with a spa and several bedrooms akin to that of a five star hotel going down a long corridor.
"I understand if some of this technology might be alien to you." The female soldier explained "If so, let one of those machines know..."

She pointed to an orb that floated across the room.
"This is where you and your team will be working and living. We have other labs as well, should you wish to speak to another scientist like yourself."

There were the sounds of several doors opening and a team of a dozen scientists, all wearing labcoats walked out. They were a melting pot of ages, race and gender with the youngest looking around seventeen. Each one stood up straight, their hands behind their backs and waited for instructions.

It wasn't a typical interrogation room as the soldier may have been expecting, for Snake, although tied to a chair via chains was sitting in a highly decorated room reminiscent of a spa or tea room. There were paintings of elephants on the walls and a pot of tea sitting on a table just out of reach covered in a fancy tablecloth.

"I cant say I blame them. I don't want us to be enemies, but I want to know who you are, how you snuck in and more importantly; why?"

He started to pour tea from the pot into a china cup, sliding an empty cup over to Snake.
"May I offer you some tea? My nation was the second highest producer of tea before China. We do lovely chai tea and you must try it." He kept up his warm and friendly tone, with an aura of relaxation beaming off of the Lord of India.
