The Multiverse is Dying...

main-qimg-7d1e48f4155dc0de0f99c616859e9f82-c

Countless worlds were being destroyed by an unknown force, with quintillions of lives being wiped out every second. You received no warning about the looming darkness on your world, or perhaps you already had access to Multi-Dimensional technology and at least heard about the threat before it hit your world. You prepared, you fought back and you lost.

Rather than being wiped out like so many others, parts of your world merged with another. Due to a force you know little to nothing about, you and your world were allowed to live in some capacity.

Welcome to Gladius
Sci-Fi-Planet-Wallpaper-1724023-915x515.jpg

A dimension separated by three different planets and one moon, Gladius may be all that remains of the Multiverse. These planets are unstable, for new remnants are added every day, each one pulled to this dimension by the unknown force.

Planet 1/Gladius-1: The Center

  • Remnants of LA, Moscow and Tokyo from the early 21st century that have been merged together. Although some people live there, it is slowly being reclaimed by exotic wildlife from across time and space. This exotic wildlife includes dinosaurs, dragons, giant birds, owlbears, giant spiders and plant monsters.
  • A large river 100 miles wide full of treacherous river monsters separates the remnant cities from Metro-Gotham
  • Metropolis and Gotham (DC Comics) merged into one city that has become overrun by supervillains who fight amongst themselves for territory of Metro-Gotham.
Planet 1: The East

  • The Eastern Sea, a 500 mile desert separates the centre from the Eastern lands, it is an unforgiving ocean of sand full of monsters and raiders. Sandsharks, bands of Yuan-ti raiders, Tusken raiders and other dangers known to wander the deserts of their own worlds are popular here. The Eastern Sea is also home to several lost civilisations that are buried in the sand.
  • Within this desert is Mos Eisley (Star Wars), a wretched hive of scum and villainy
  • Across the desert is the remnants of the Xing Empire (Full Metal Alchemist), with other countries from the same universe having merged into one.

  • The Indian Empire, which is currently at war with the Xing Empire. It is led by the Mad Dictator, Mahatma Gandhi (Civilisation series). The Empire and it's borders are patrolled by death squads from the Information Era which includes XCOM soldiers, Mechanised Infinity, Helicopter Gunships, and of course Giant Death Robots.

  • Off the coast is New York (Marvel Comics), an island nation. Some remaining military, police, SHIELD agents, superheroes and even villains fight to take back control of the island from raging Symbiotes. (Update) Thanks to a cure developed by Reed Richards, most of the symbiotes were wiped out and after a few more battles a ceasefire was called between the Klyntar (symbiotes), who were close to extinction and SHIELD. The symbiotes that remain in the city are underground or in hiding amongst buildings destroyed by heavy fighting.

  • The Fallen Kingdom: An advanced civilisation overrun by the undead, it was once a proud kingdom and one of the first to arrive in Gladius but it was brought to it's knees by swarms of zombies. At the moment, the Kingdom is under heavy quarantine from all the nations surrounding it but some venture inside of the kingdom's secrets.

    Planet 1: The West
  • A Graveyard of destroyed ships (naval, air and space) covers a large portion of the Western area of the planet. While this cemetery seems ideal for raiders, more often than not they will find more than just spare parts in them. (Update) This area is now covered in a large bubble of energy, having been destroyed by Commander Vortex.
  • The Western ocean is ideal for piracy, but it's depths are full of dangerous sea creatures. From serpents to aquatic dinosaurs.
  • Even further west is the wasteland, a desolate country full of dangerous people and creatures. (Fallout, Max Max and Judge Dredd)
    Planet 1: The South
  • The Southern continent is covered in an eternal night as it is where Vampires roam (World/Chronicles of Darkness). Werewolf attacks by gangs of Pure (Werewolf Nazis) are popular, whilst Mages have constructed cities for themselves with walls to hide behind. These Mage cities are considered to be the safest part of the planet. They are also one of the only ways off the planet.

  • Off the coast of the southern continent is a large island nation guarded by serpents and Chinese dragons. From a distance, some large buildings can be seen.

  • A vast jungle island that is used as hunting grounds (Predator/Alien series). Creatures and people from all over the planet are dropped here from time to time as prey.

  • Tatsumi-Vale Island
A Manmade Island which was born in the collision of Multiverses. Thus combining both Persona 3 and RWBYverses together. It comprises of a portion of the Kingdom of Vale and Tatsumi Port Island. The large Huntsman School known as Gekkoukan Beacon is located as the centre of it's manmade Island.
Planet 1: The North

  • Mountain ranges home to lost Dwarven Kingdoms (Tolkien) and giants.
  • The province of Skyrim. The civil war between the Stormcloaks and Imperials has declared a ceasefire due to the collapse of the Multiverse, however tensions are high and even higher now due to Vortex's attacks on the land.
  • Cold, unforgiving lands that stretch for thousands of miles across, with some settlements inbetween.

  • Nohrgar: Nohrgar is a mix between Midgar (Final Fantasy VII) and the kingdom of Nohr (Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest Path). Midgar and Nohr are currently in a power struggle between the Nohrian Royalty led by Prince Xander and the Shinra Electric Power Company led by President Shinra. Mayor Domino is the ambassador representing what remains of the city of Midgar.
A bottomless canyon separates the two lands from Hoshido, a long-time rival of Nohr (FE Fates: Birthright Path). This kingdom is led by the Hoshidan Lord Ryoma.
Currently, there is tension and civil unrest between the Nohrians and the corporate heads of Shinra. Midgar, however, has the high ground on Nohr with the Hoshidans supporting their cause.

  • Mewnisse: a fusion of Mewni (Star vs. the Forces of Evil) and Ylisse (Fire Emblem). With the convergence of Mewni and Ylisse, the Royal Butterfly Family of Mewni and the Royal Family of Ylisse have formed a pact of non-agression. The Exalt Emmeryn and Moon Butterfly are on good terms so far.

  • Hyruzea: A kingdom that came to be when the collision of Multiverses brought together Hyrule(The Legend of Zelda) and Eorzea(Final Fantasy XIV). It is comprised of Hyrule castle in Central Hyruzea, The deserts of Thanalan and Gerudo that border each other. The city state of Ul’dah which is located in the Thanalan desert. Faron Shroud, originally Farron Woods and the Black Shroud. Within Faron Shroud is the combined City State Village of Gridaniko. Limsa Lominsa an independent marine city state of Hyruzea. Located on the southern coast of the island Vylbrand, Limsa Lominsa is a bustling port and pirate hideout. Zora’s Domain is located under the island. The Holy See of Ishgard is found in the central region of Abalathia's Spine, the highlands of Coerthas. The archbishop of the Ishgardian Orthodox Church rules as the nation's sovereign.

  • The Wall: A large, magical structure made up of alien metals and stone among other things. It is designed to keep creatures from beyond the wall from getting in. These include Titans, True Fae and hordes of the undead among other things. Security forces from the second planet as well as people from the first planet are sent there to guard the wall against what lies beyond.

  • Beyond the wall is a mixture between tundra, forest, jungle and desert with horrors living in all sections of it.
Planet 2/Gladius-2
Planet 2 much closer to a Utopia than planet one with the remnants vast civilisations arriving there and working together to preserve what's left of the Multiverse and perhaps even find a way to defeat the darkness that was consuming worlds. These groups include (but are not limited to) the Bureau of Balance (The Adventure Zone), The Citadel (A Song of Ice and Fire), the Jedi order (Star Wars), The Elves (Tolkien), Starfleet (Star Trek), the UNSC (Halo series) and Overwatch.

Includes
  • Westeros (A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones): Which is ruled by Queen Daenerys Targaryen in the South and King Jon Targaryen in the North. Tyrion Lannister, Ser Davos Seaworth and Lord Varys act as advisers to the two and are the ambassadors of Westeros to the rest of Gladius.
Samwell Tarly acts as a science adviser to the rulers of Westeros and reports back to the Citadel, the home of the Maesters
The Land Beyond the Wall was lost, added to the land beyond the wall on Gladius-1, while the rest of Westeros was spared.

  • Middle Winter (Tolkien and D&D): With Mordor and some of it's surrounding areas wiped away (and added to Gladis-1), as well as the Mines of Moria and some of the lost Dwarven Kingdoms, the rest of Middle Winter is ruled by the surviving Dwarves, men and Elves while the Hobbits of the Shire tend to stay out of political matters.
Differing Elven, Dwarven, human, Gnome, Tiefling (ect) Kingdoms from across the Multiverse have settled in Middle Winter and Bureau of Balance operates out of this home to magical peoples from the Forgotten Realms (the setting for most Dungeons and Dragons games), that of The Adventure Zone and of Middle Earth itself.

  • The Unseen University (Discworld): The hub of magical study and knowledge on Gladius-2, with various wizards, mages and the like performing research there. Most of this is dedicated to the protection and preservation of Gladius-2 as well as trying to find a way to combat the darkness should it return. Th Unseen University also merged with part of Hogwarts and the Ministry of Magic (Harry Potter). Hogwarts acts as a kind of junior academy, which the Ministry being a peacekeeping force for the region.

  • Seoul-don: A hybrid of Seoul and London, Seoul-don is a mixture of futuristic architecture (cyberpunk) and Victorian style architecture. A city of cyborgs, gentlemen and monsters, Seoul-don is the hub for trade and considered one of the largest cities on Gladius-2. It has an undercity of aliens and monsters, similar to "Trap Streets" (Doctor Who).
Operating out of Seoul-don is Overwatch and the UNSC.

  • Latverivin: A mixture between Yavin-4 (Star Wars) and Latveria (Marvel Comics). While it's official ruler is Victor Von Doom, he is often found at the Unseen University due to his powers in sorcerery. He has assisted the Jedi Order under the leadership of Luke Skywalker and Kyle Katarn in rebuilding it's numbers, and as such they have promised to protect Latverivin.

  • Magical Kingdom: A continent which, for a lack of better words encompasses most of the Disney and Pixar universes, with several islands off the coast. The likes of Wall-E and post-apocalypse Disney is on Gladius-1 however. In the centre is Disney central, ruled by a council of Princesses who work with the council. They seek to preserve their kingdom rather than battle the darkness itself.

  • Valkanda: Valkanda is the result of the merger of the technologically-advanced African nation of Wakanda with the more rural nomadic desert town port of Val Habar. Valkanda remains a harmonious combinations of its original locales. Black Panther veils for its safety and makes sure its inhabitants can enjoy a peaceful lifestyle. Following the death of the Multiverse, Black Panther also serves as its guild master, and he has established a new tradition by naming a Monster Hunter as his right hand, as a way of creating harmony on the newly-formed nation.

  • Thessiascara: A mixture between the Asari homeworld of Thessia (Mass Effect) and the home of the Amazons (DC Comics/Greek Mythos), it houses warrior women who fight with both magic and science. As well as being on the council of Gladius, they act as a part of the military should the darkness return with both Amazons and Asari commandos preparing relentlessly.

  • CraftStar: An island created by the parts of Craftworld (LittleBigPlanet) and Planet Pop Star (Kirby Series). The island's capital is Dream Land which is overseen by The Alliance with Larry DaVinci as its head, but King Dedede plans to overthrow The Alliance. CraftStar does have an army of its own: The SackBot Army.
This place is inhabited by various creatures like Sackpeople and various Kirby characters such as Waddle Dees and they are very friendly towards visitors. However, some of its inhabitants are violent and dangerous and there's traps laid out around the island.

CraftStar is arguably the most abundant island on Gladius, boasting a seemingly endless amount of food, daily supplies, and useful items from across the multiverse (for example, the Super Mushroom from Super Mario Brothers). Also, half of CraftStar's terrain is made out of several multi-coloured fabrics and other common materials, the other half being organic.
CraftStar is the perfect place for assembling or reassembling items both old and new and rumour has it that there is hidden treasure beneath the island but those interested must survive "The Great Cave Offensive."
(UPDATE: This region was nuked by Ghandi, reducing it to ashes)

  • IaTowa: A fusion of the great Cybertronian city Iacon (Transformers) and Isolated Technologically advanced island Utopia Towa City (DanganRonpa).
The City is divided into two districts, the Human and the Cybertronian Districts. The Human district of IaTowa consists of high rise apartments, research facilities, shops, and factories. The Cybertronian district is very similar tho it is scaled to the size of the Transformers. The City is controlled the Council, a group of Cybertronian Leaders and diplomats that help keep the peace between the humans and the Cybertronians.

  • Gravityvale: Seemingly existing outside of time compared to the other places on Gladius-II this town is a fusion between the forest town of Gravity Falls (Gravity Falls) and the desert town of Nightvale (Welcome to Night Vale). A mixture of desert and trees full of secrets and general weirdness, it broadcasts the Welcome to Night Vale podcast (hosted by Cecil Baldwin), which didn't change it's name after the merge. When approached for comment about their refusal, station management made indescribable, bright purple screeching sounds and proceeded to stamp their feet.
Stanford Pines and Carlos lead a team on investigators and seem to be some of the very few residents of the town aware of the weird and (often) horrible things that happen on seemingly a daily basis.

  • Sybil Japan: Sybil Japan (Psycho-Pass) The technological utopia run by the Sybil System, where it is possible to instantaneously measure and quantify a person's propensity towards criminality using stationary handheld technology. Little is known about the country due to its isolationist nature, the MWPSB the police force of the city dispense out the Sybil System's justice, and the country maintains that nothing has gone wrong, and everything is as it was. However, not everything is as it seems.

    Above the planets:
  • An blockade of ships and space stations designed as an early warning sy stem should the darkness reach Gladius.
  • The moon is used as a massive research outpost and a colony that Starfleet operates out of.
  • On the dark side of the moon is a prison colony where the worst criminals from across the Multiverse are housed.

  • Ishimura-High Charity
The collision of multiverses brought about the collision of the Flood-infested High Charity (Halo) and the USG Ishimura (Dead Space) in an asteroid field between Gladius 1 and 2. The conflict between necromorphs and flood keeps them occupied for the moment. However, the space around the collision is incredibly dangerous, with Flood-piloted ships and Marker signals posing grave threats. The Gladius defence fleet has declared the area off-limits.

  • The Dome
In orbit of the moon is an invisible yet large dome, home to a collection of cities living within an artificial ecosystem.
Kampala: The Capital of Uganda which is home to the Ugandan military and it's most notable tribe
Lazyville: A combination of Lazytown (Lazytown) and Danville (Phineas and Ferb)
Springdale: A combination of Springfield (The Simpsons) and Dimsdale (Fairly Odd Parents) taken from moments in their time when both cities were at the height of their power (and quality).

Jolie Baptiste: Metro-Gotham
Jolie ran around a corner as two plasma blasts flew over her head, the green blasts lighting up the night sky. Although she was using Celerity, the goons were getting closer to her. She turned down an alleyway and sat next to a dumpster

"Merde (shit). Merde (shit). Merde (shit)." Jolie hissed under her breath. She placed her ear against the dumpster and listened for the goon's footsteps. As one drew close enough she jumped from cover with her bastard sword in hand and knocked the plasma rifle from his hands with a few fast, well-timed strikes.

She placed the sword against his throat, only for the armoured goon to grin in response. His armour was a mixture of green and purple, tech he had stolen from Lexcorp security.
"You think that thing can kill me?" He chuckled
"Want to find out?" Jolie asked grimly

She heard more goons approaching and stepped backwards, keeping the sword held at the goon's throat. She spat at the goon, placing his rifle over her back before turning down the alleyway and running towards a fire escape. She jumped up it with ease, and with a little bit of Vitae was quickly on the roof.

She ran to the edge of the building, seeing that more armoured goons wearing similar gear were approaching the building. One of them looked upwards, spotting her and firing upwards. The blast missed her face by mere inches as she pulled back. Cursing under her breath, Jolie looked to the building across from her and took a deep breath. She didn't need to breathe, she hadn't needed to breathe since the 1940s.

She threw the heavy plasma rifle to the side and walked backwards before taking a running jump. She knew that if she missed the jump, she'd be directly in the line of fire and wouldn't last long. Her mind cleared as she flew through the air, shutting her eyes for a moment and opening them just in time to grab onto the side of the building. She quickly pulled herself up and kept running.

Markiplier: The Desert Sea
Mark Fischbach, otherwise known as Markiplier sat next to a fire, staring up at the night sky. He watched as another star blinked out of existence, meaning that the darkness had claimed yet another world. More lives were lost, and he wasn't there to save people. Mark clenched his fists and turned to the golden retriever sitting next to him and shot her a smile, scratching behind her ears.

"Ooh, who's a good puppo?" He asked, but it was no use. Mark may have been able to lie to himself, but lying to man's best friend about how you feel is impossible. He sighed heavily.
"Chica, we need to get off this planet. There's people out there who need my help."

He looked into the distance, seeing a light from Mos Eisley but it was at least a day's walk away. Mark could keep going through the night for at least another hour or so but Chica needed her rest, and the idea of leaving her behind would never cross his mind. Looking back up at the night sky, Mark watched yet another star blink out of existence.

"Screw this." He muttered. He turned towards Chica who was wrapped up in a blanket and wrapped the blanket around one of his shoulders "C'mon puppo." He said with a reassuring smile as he started to walk deeper into the desert "We gots a Multiverse to save."

D.Va: New York
Hana lay on top of her Mech sitting atop of a beaten and scarred SHIELD Hellicarrier that rested in the water just outside of New York. She looked across at the city, watching as a group of five Symbiote-infected citizens charged down the street and began to climb up a building. She stepped back as one of the Symbiotes stared directly at her and roared.

Jumping into her Mech, D.Va prepared herself as a group of now ten Symbiote-infected people began to leap at her.

COMMANDER VORTEX
The Western Graveyard
The was a bright flash of light up above the planet, and a split-second later, a massive shell of metal shot out, plummeting towards the planet at breakneck speeds. Its sides began to glow red-hot as it reached terminal velocity, the friction from the surrounding atmosphere scraping its sides. It continued forwards, producing a horrifying screeching sound. Oddly enough, the metallic screeching was mixed with very humanlike screaming coming from inside.

The craft continued to fall for a bit more, before it smashed into the ground, the shockwave throwing the broken remnants of all kinds of naval assets and clouds of dust. For a while, steam rose from the heated pod, the metal shell staying completely silent.

Then there was a loud thunk, and the shell split in two. The sides fell to the ground and suddenly melted into a pile of slag, seeping into the grit down below. Standing where the pod had been was a massive bipedal mechine. It seemed to be inactive, as it wasn't moving, and it was dark and crouched down.

Soon enough, however, it showed its first signs of life.

First, the machine twitched with a dull thump, then its two arms began to glow, its left arm green and its right red. It slowly stood up to its full height of fifteen metres, long control antenna stretching out to the sky, stocky limbs unfolding. Finally, the central optic in the middle of its torso switched on, shining bright.

The machine was silent for a while. Then it began to look around. Slowly at first, signs of panic began to seep in as it began to swivel its torso around at a much faster rate.

Vortex was so very confused. He had gone to bed last night, looking forward to a day off school the next day, when he wouldn't have to be surrounded by idiots for once, even if it was just a single day. He expected to wake up to the sound of a whirring fan, the chirping of birds, and sunlight shining through his windows.

What he didn't expect was to wake up in a drop pod plummeting towards the ground at terminal velocity.

"This must be a dream," He muttered in an attempt to reassure himself. His voice sounded young yet rough, like his throat was dry. "I'll just pinch myself and wake up." He reached over and stopped. His arms couldn't even bend. He didn't even have hands. His breath hitched in his throat, then he realised he didn't have one. Everything he saw had some kind of interface now. For some reason, all of this seemed awfully familiar.

Falling from space in a drop pod? Check. Seeing everything in a computerised interface? Check. Processing everything in nanoseconds? Body of a fifteen metre tall brutally efficient self-replicating mechanism of war? Check.

Guess those Planetary Annihilation Self-Inserts were true, after all.

Filia Medici
(And Samson)
-New York-

How long has it been since the schoolgirl with the talking hair ended up in this hellhole? Maybe not long. Filia currently rests on top of the ruined Empire State Building after getting away a lot shots by soldiers against the Symbiotes. Apparently, the soldiers thought Filia was among the Symbiotes due to Samson. She is now a wanted girl, and she needs to find help fast. After some time however, a bunch of soldiers suddenly enter the roofs. Filia screamed before she begins to make a huge leap off the ledge of the building as Samson forms a pair of wings to fly to safety.

The soldiers began to rain the schoolgirl hell with bullets, and Samson had to swiftly dodge them before going onto one side to use the buildings as makeshift cover. He slowly descends Filia until she safely lands onto the ground. It seems that she's safe for now.

"Why?" Filia thought "Why must it come to this?"

After making a few distance, she begins to hear gunfire not like the usual guns she hears around the city. She ran towards the source and ends up finding ten Symbiote-infected people fighting a girl in a giant mech suit.

"Samson, should we help?" Filia asks.

"I don't know, but I think we shouldn't." Samson answers "If we get in, that mech girl could her guns at us thinking that we're one of them."

"Yeah, but she seems to be helpless and-"

"Kid, I think its best that we should let go of her." Samson cuts Filia off.

The schoolgirl watched the girl in the mech suit fend off the Symbiote-infected people, but she couldn't wait any longer, and so she begins make a mad dash towards the infected, ready to fight them.

"Samson, you know what to do!" Filia says.

"Whatever you say, kid." Samson replies after a sigh as he forms a pair of clawed hands and stabs them onto two infected, gaining the mech suit girl's attention.

Tyler
The Desert Sea

Tyler grumbled to himself as he looked through his scope at the town. It'd only been in sight for five, maybe ten minutes, and he'd had to walk for the last few hours to even get within viewing distance, atop a large sand dune. He was already getting irritated at the lack of action, the mongoose they provided to get there ran out of fuel about halfway there. There was no sign of any obvious stolen UNSC tech or vehicles from this distance, but he probably had to get closer to be sure.

With a last glance in the direction of the town through the scope and a sigh, he got up from his laying position, slung his sniper over his shoulder and began the trip down the dune, towards the town. He'd still yet to get used to walking on sand, and the dark didn't help him find his footing any easier. There had been smoke rising behind another dune, slightly out of the way but he decided it was in his best interest to check it out, it could be a campsite, maybe an arms deal or something similar. It wouldn't take him too far out of the way to at least check it out, and it could easily be something interesting or important.

As he began heading up the dune, out of pure caution he places his hand over his M6G, ready to draw if it seems like trouble. His thoughts wandered as he approached the top. Who or what could be waiting for him over the top of the dune?

Markiplier: The Desert Sea
Mark kept walking with Chica wrapped over his back towards Mos Eisley only for Chica's ears to prick up and stare up at a sand dune. She rested one of her paws on Mark's shoulder.
"What is it, girl?" Mark asked in a calming tone.

The two, (and occasionally, Tim) had been travelling through the desert for a while and had come across monsters before, camel spiders, the occasional scorpion the size of a cat and Mark had even spotted the fins of sandsharks in the distance and then...Had simply decided to go another way.

Behind Tyler, a creature moving underneath the heavy sand tried to ambush him, jumping out of the sand and lunging at him.

giant_scorpion_by_charreed-d3hdw5k.jpg

Seeing the giant scorpion lunge at something behind one of the sand dunes, Mark started to charge up the hill to see if the creature was going for another idiot like himself who was wandering through the desert.

Sinensis Sinensis

D.Va: New York
Gunning down some of the Symbiotes, D.Va took a step back in her Mech, dodging an attack as one Symbiote managed to dodge a barrage of gunfire by mere centimetres and attempted to lunge at her. It snarled and propelled itself forwards with webbing only for D.Va to slam into the Symbiote with the side of her Mech, throwing it into the ocean. She spun around, seeing that two Symbiotes were almost on top of her only for a teenage girl to stab through them.

"Hana." A SHIELD agent spoke over her Mech's radio
"D.Va." She replied with a frustrated sigh
"Be advised, there's some kind of symbiote heading your way. Be careful."
"Purple hair, short skirt, claws for hands?" D.Va asked sarcastically, then before he could reply she cut him off "I'm staring right at her."

D.Va waved at Filia using one of the Mech's cannons before shooting down a Symbiote that tried to lunge at her from behind
"I'm D.Va." She said with a smile "And you?"

"Filia..." The schoolgirl says upon which Samson pulls off his hands from the two infected's bodies. "And oh, this hair of mine with a mouth is Samson. Don't worry, he's nice." Filia added to which Samson let's out a "Meh..."

"It seems that you're in some sort of situation here. Mind if I help you out?" Filia kindly asks.

D.Va, upon seeing Samson actually speak took one step back in her Mech.
"That girl's a little odd, but she's with me." She said into the radio, turning her attention back to the teenager "Aside from the claws and the talking hair, which is cool by the way, what else can you do?" D.Va asked, pointing behind Filia as more Symbiotes charged the downed Hellicarrier.

Yoshikage Kira
New York

Yoshikage Kira, a serial killer who, until recently, had been living a peaceful life, was under more stress than he had ever been before. Instead of the quiet Morioh town he had been living in all his life, he was trapped in some ruined American city. If that wasn't bad enough, the city was swarming with these horrific creatures which sought to kill anything that moved. For the past few days, Kira had been traveling from building to building, seeking shelter from said creatures, every encounter had left him worse for wear and stressed than the last. His expensive outfit had been torn and dirtied, and even his face was covered with muck and filth. Indeed, Yoshikage Kira was in despair.

At the moment, Kira had been hiding out in what he assumed was a bomb shelter, which had been built further into the basement of an apartment building. Luckily, it had been stocked with plenty of canned foods and water, enough to keep him feed for a month. However, even in the safety of this shelter, there was still no relief from those things outside. Every so often he would hear them scuttling above him, they must've followed him into the building. They were waiting for him to surface no doubt, they may have been strong but not strong enough to tear the shelter's metal door. Hopefully, something would come by that would lure them away from the building. Then he might finally get a goodnight's rest.

Also in the room was a radio, a crank-powered radio that he had been listening to since he first got there. It was tuned to the frequency that the military had been using to communicate. He supposed there was no point in them using a private frequency if the enemy couldn't listen in. Using this, Kira had hoped they would be using it to tell survivors of safe havens, but for now, it seemed they had just been using it to communicate with each other. Finally, after an hour of waiting and listening to the radio, he could hear gunfire coming from outside and the sound of nails scraping the floor above him. From what Kira could make out on his crappy, crank radio, the military was out there, and not some idiots with guns trying to make a last stand. Assuming these people survived the onslaught of monsters, he could flag them down and they could take him far away from this awful place. His wish had come true; it seemed that luck was on the side of Yoshikage Kira.

Climbing up the ladder, Kira turned the handle on the door and left the safety of the shelter and into the unknown dangers of the outside world. Kira ascended the apartment, taking the stairs to the roof. While he would've preferred the elevator, the power in the building had died leaving it worthless. Taking the stairs was better exercise anyways. When he had finally made it to the roof, Kira watched as a girl in a mech, along with a bunch of soldiers attempted to drive back the waves of creatures. "It's best to wait and see how this plays out. They seem to be holding out for now, but it's not impossible for them to get overwhelmed."

Sara
Wasteland, Mojave, New Vegas
Sara walks out of the Lucky 38, wearing her armor and equipment. It was around midday in New Vegas and through the place was Blue Moon heard through speakers. So far, nothing seemed to have changed at all for the Mojave Dessert. People kept coming and going. So far, it didn't seem like anything changed. Sara starts to walk out, into Freeside. As she enters, a few thugs start to attack her. She takes her caravan shotgun and opens fire on the thugs. One is killed by her attack and another was seriously wounded. There were two more left. Sara opens fire on the first and kills him. The last one coming too closer for her to open fire. She tries to shove him away. Before he could anything else, he was killed by a securitron. She loads her shotgun again before putting it back. She lets out a sigh, she was losing her edge with all the lack of a threat. Normally she had Caesar's Legion to worry about, but since the Battle of Hoverdam, there wasn't really a threat to fight against. The only thing that might become a threat would be the NCR, but that would be a long shot from where they are now.

And Mr. House didn't really had any challenges for her. Even then, she missed her companions. They all left after the Battle of Hoverdam. Still, she heard quite some good things did happen in the Mojave. She thought back at that moment, the last moments of Caesar's Legion. Her last fight in which she had the NCR on her side. It was also her toughest fight, even tougher than survive a shot in the head. Legate Lanius was not a normal Legion soldier. The Monster of the East almost killed her when they fought. It was a close call.
She wished she could've nailed that Caesar on a cross for what he did, but killing Lanius was satisfying too. It was fortunate for the slaves that at least some were rescued, although not the original plan by House.
The battle was not won without the help of the Boomers, the NCR and some help of the remnants of the Enclave. She wondered what happened to them. Regardless of where they are now, they were a huge help for the defense of Hoverdam. Their power armor and weapons made easy work of Caesar's Legion.
However, it was unfortunate that the Brotherhood of Steel was not able to participate into the fight. Sara, with regret, wiped out the Brotherhood of Steel Chapter under the order of Mr. House. Regardless, the line was held and Caesar's Legion is no more. That is what matters.

As she keeps walking, she gets her pip-boy up and looks at it, putting on Radio New Vegas. Big Iron was just about to play. There were a few places she had yet to revisit. She heard that there was a cure of the Nightkin at Jackobstown. Something that could really be useful for the Supermutants, but also for the people of the Mojave. As they have to be less afraid for Nightkin raids.
However, Jackobstown was quite far away from New Vegas. And would've taken quite some time to reach it. Yet it was worth the travel to see how it went there. Who knows, maybe she could get the super mutants to ally with House. They would certainly be a huge help for security and to keep New Vegas and its surroundings independent from the NCR. Only a few were brave/stupid enough to try to fight super mutants. After a minute or so of thinking, she decided where she was going to and headed towards Jackobstown. Deciding to take the road across one of the remaining highways in the Mojave. And so she heads to the highway that goes towards Jackobstown.

-Soul King Brook-
-New York-

Within a ruined corner of New York City, a dilapidated building stood high and tall. Once upon a time, this was the Hilton Hotel, a shining five-star hotel that was only able to be enjoyed by the nouveau-riche, and had as many floors as any of the skyscrapers around it. It was a a place of great luxury; of course, that luxury was cut rather short by the invasion of the Symbiotes. The upper 10 floors of the hotel were destroyed to pieces, and the hotel quickly fell into disrepair.

Within a dank dark hallway near the top of the hotel, a group of symbiotes, numbering around 5 or 6, were stalking around the suites, hoping to find a host sneaking around the building. As the Symbiotes continued their search, an extremely shrill violin note sounded out, causing the Symbiotes to recoil. One symbiote raised his head towards a shadow that was heading towards the group and yowled. As he did, another violin note sounded out, causing it to stop in its tracks.

"Sorry for this.... not that you'd understand, but.... I feel I'm obligated." The shadow that the Symbiote had set his eyes upon had already traveled to the other end of the hallway, past all 5 of that Symbiote's brothers. Within a bony hand was his sword, which was steaming with ice and vapor. He closed it onto its sheath, which was just a walking cane. As he did, he shouted, "Hanauta Sancho: Yahazu Giri!"

Almost instantly, the Symbiotes were frozen into a mass of ice, confused expressions on their "faces". The person who had just cut them walked off calmly, humming a low but jaunty tune. This person was, of course, Brook.

Owing to the fact that Brook was, of course, a skeleton, he wasn't really much of a host for the symbiote. Yet these monster-dog like things still pursued and hounded him intensely. Brook assumed it was because of the fact that they were doglike creatures, much like the Minks back in Zou, and wanted to chew on his bones. Brook somberly climbed up a staircase that was right next to the hallway, and climbed onto a open kind of area. This was previously the 20th floor of the Hilton Hotel, but now was its "roof". Brook stepped into the sunlight, and looked at the raging river that was nearby.

"Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Nami.... Robin... Chopper... Usopp.... Franky..... Are you guys even still alive?" Brook recounted the names of all his former crewmates. A great emotion rose within his chest, as tears leaked out of his empty eye socket. "Ah, Laboon! You're probably wondering if I'm even alive. That is, if you're even alive..... no, no! Of course you are! Ahh, Laboon, Straw Hats, my heart cries out for you! Though I have no heart.... Yohohohohoh! Skull Joke!" He said, to nobody in particular. Suddenly, on the distant streets, he spied a human and some robots battling those dog-creatures.

"That's the first humans I've seen all month! I must meet them!" said Brook. And then, with a dash and a jump, he cleared the distance to the roof of another skyscraper. He repeated this routine a few times until he was just near the people. Looking down at them from a roof, he jumped down, umbrella in hand, floating along while shouting, "Hey! Hey, sirs and ma'am's! Hello! Good day!"

Adam
Metro-Gotham
It seemed and most definitely felt like nothing would ever get better. It seemed as if he tried to escape the world and drown out his sorrows in alcohol, it seemed like the world decided to flip the table and end everything. And now things were worse than even that under the Empire he was forced to serve for many years. Honestly at this point his Adam's routine had become drink, run away kill some things trying to kill him, eat a bit and drink again then sleep, because there seemed to be no end to the misery being tossed on him. And after having to run for a time being, he ended up on a rooftop of some random building and had gotten away, but never really cared if anything dropped their and killed him without his knowledge, consciously though if someone came by after him he would fight back to survive. He still had a bit to cling on again, even though he still talked quite a lot about having none and wanting to die.

Even with all the sounds of guns, explosions, and the like, something he was exposed too pretty much all his life, he laid on a rooftops, some bottles of liquor surrounding him, either drained or somewhat there or still full, and having his helmet off for the time being to drink, exposing that handsome, yet broken grizzled face drowning out everything in the constant liquids. Yet all his life he would never get more than a bit buzzed and then in time recover. Right now he could only think about Ivrit, hoping that his only true friend in this world was alive and prospering, although his more pragmatic side tuned that out because odds are he was probably honestly dead, just like most other of these new universes and people.

Right as he was about to take another sip, he could hear hurried feet moving his way and guns going off, which indicated that someone was being chased down and guns were going off, which meant odds are he was going to get dragged into another fight...

Being slightly buzzed it took a moment to gain his composure putting his non-finished bottles back, groaning in annoyance. At this point the smell of booze would reach Jolie considering there was just too much to not notice in smell and on the ground, thinking about it Adam internally chuckled, how random it must be to find a random man lying on the ground drunk or what would have appeared drunk on a rooftop... So finally he caught a glimpse and saw a woman climbing up after having by the looks of it jumped. He sighed, and asked.

"Oh great, you on the run or something?"

Tyler
The Desert Sea
With his mind wandering, Tyler didn't notice the sound of shifting sand approaching him until it was too late, the sound of the scorpion erupting from the sand at him the only sign he noticed. Instinctively, he tried rolling out of the way of the attack, but only succeeded in partially avoiding the blow. "Fucking hell!" Tyler yelled he saw the decent chunk carved out of his shields by this thing.

Once he came out of the roll, he unholstered his pistol and continued with the momentum, moving to the side at a jogging speed and squeezed a few rounds into it. The carapace would probably absorb most of the damage, and he quickly realized he would probably need bigger weaponry, this thing wasn't anywhere near what he had prepared himself to fight, the best idea would be to try to get some distance between the two of them.

Continuing his jog away from the beast, and firing off a few extra rounds toward the scorpion, he weighed his strategic options. Aim for the seams? Nah, it's moving too much. Decapitate a limb? No chance of getting close enough without being in range of those pincers. Scare it off somehow? He grumbled to himself as he crossed out most of his options. If he could get enough distance to take his sniper out without getting hit again, it would be a lot more effective than his sidearm at shooting through the carapace.

Time around Markiplier ceased moving. Jotaro Kujo strode across the desert sand as his Stand, Star Platinum, appeared before him to pummel the large creature. Several dents were made in the creature's tough exoskeleton as Star Platinum's fists struck it at rapid speeds with great strengths. After 5 seconds had passed, time resumed its flow and the creature would fall over, badly wounded from the copious amount of damage it had received from Star Platinum. Jotaro's hands were in his trenchcoat pockets, although he removed one out to adjust the brim of his hat as he pulled it lower.

"What a pain....These things are hideous," he remarked, his gaze resting on Mark. "You're welcome."

Markiplier: The Desert Sea
Hearing Tyler's shouting Mark continued to charge up the dune as fast as his legs could carry him, he leapt over the dune and came face to face with the scorpion.
"Holy crap!" He cried, immediately regretting his decision once he saw the creature up close. He jumped back as the creature aimed it's stinger at him only to stumble back and nearly roll down the dune.

Without warning, the creature was struck in multiple places and appeared to be badly wounded right before a man in a trechcoat appeared beside Mark.

"Yeah, just the amount of legs is enough to make you cringe." Mark added. His attention was drawn to the giant scorpion as it started to move again. It started to make an aggressive clicking sound and the sand underneath it's legs started to move. Two dozen cat-sized scorpions emerged and leapt at Mark, JoJo and Tyler while another two German Shepard sized ones moved up to the side of the now wounded giant scorpion.

Mark took a deep breath and drew his handaxe "Um, guys..." He began, lowering it slowly "I think we should run."

Jolie: Metro-Gotham
With her heightened Vampire senses the smell of alcohol from Adam would have been enough to make Jolie wince, or if she was still human, throw up. In her mind, she had seconds to make a decision. The man had a grizzled face, but from his armour he seemed like he was some kind of soldier or mercenary, or perhaps used to be. To her, that might explain the drinking problem.

The man, with his heavy drinking might not be a threat to her but the people after her might target him. She stopped running and sighed heavily.
"Yes." She replied, looking down to see the armoured thugs making her way towards the building. Due to the size of it, she still had time to prepare, and even run for it by the idea of leaving a stranger to take the fall was disgusting to her.

"I know you're pissed, but can you fight?" Jolie asked, speaking at a fast pace "Failing that, can you run?" Although there was seriousness in her voice, Jolie spoke with a soft and almost welcoming French accent "It's just that if I leave you on this rooftop the people after me might think us two are accomplices. They'll kill you trying to get to me."

Deeper in the city, Kira's radio began to blurt out a message on a military frequency.

Kira's radio sounded off, informing him that there was no hope for those risking their lives down there. He was right to stay back if he had rushed down there and joined them he would've shared in their fate. Two individuals did not share his way of thinking, few did. A young schoolgirl with hair that she could control freely, much like one Yukako Yamagishi along with a strange skeleton had decided to join the fight. Foolish, now they would die as well. "It would be a shame to see that young girl die. I'm sure her hands would have been quite attractive."

The sound of his radio didn't just attract his attention as he witnessed some symbiotes, about five or six breaking off from the horde to slowly scale the building to where Kira was. "Damn it! I should've turned this blasted thing off!"

As one of the symbiotes reached the roof, Kira's Stand grabbed at its head using its left hand, its neutral expression giving off no hint of emotion. "Killer Queen's Primary Bomb!" Killer Queen pressed its right thumb onto the phalanx of its middle finger, much like the trigger on a handheld detonator. This resulted in the immediate detonation of the monster, destroying both the symbiote and its host entirely, leaving behind not a shred of evidence. Before the other symbiotes could make their way to the roof, Kira bolted for the stairway door, only to find that it had locked behind him.

Trapped on the rooftop of the apartment building, Kira desperately racked his brain for ways to escape. I can't fight all of them; Killer Queen can only make one bomb at a time. If I kill one, the others will take that opening, and then I'll be finished. I need to keep the others busy somehow; I need a distraction! That's when it hit him. If those two newcomers over there were so eager to help, there was no way they could ignore a simple businessman like himself in danger. "Help! Someone, please help me!" Kira began to call out for help; it was pretty convincing as it stemmed from real desperation. Now all I need is one of those people down there to come and help me, that's when I'll make my escape.

COMMANDER VORTEX
The Western Graveyard
After roughly five minutes of freaking out, Vortex forced himself to calm down. His emotional subroutines really helped. Honestly, he was prepared for a situation like this. He had spent the past few weeks writing and planning his own PA SI that he wished to post on Spacebattles, but it was still in its planning stage. He also spent some time wondering what would really happen and how he would react if he was ever thrust into a situation like the previous unlucky Commanders before that.

Guess it was a perk of being overly paranoid.

"Alright," He took a metaphorical breath. "You can do this. Just do what the other Commanders have done." He took a step forwards and scanned the area he was in. He was in some kind of ship graveyard in a desert, judging by the dry weather (his sensors read a humidity level of twenty-five percent and a temperature of thirty-seven degrees celsius). Not the best place to land, but it could be worse. At least he didn't land in an ocean planet or a pile of creep.

He took another step. One step at a time, he thought. All Commanders started somewhere. And now, it was his turn to start.

So he started by building a metal extractor.

------------------
An hour later, a little more than a hundred metal extractors covered the area, stretching in every direction. Factories of every kind were placed in between, churning out more and more units. Fabricators moved to and fro, constructing more and more structures every minutes. Others reclaimed the broken skeletons of ships, salvaging the metal and recovering whatever bits of technology they could find. Radars built around the perimeter of Vortex's base scanned the surrounding area for any signs of movement, and provided him better sight.

Two dozen Firefly scout planes had been sent of in every direction, each one with the orders to find any signs of life anywhere, and to map out the area. Finding information from the wrecked ships littered around the place was no use, since most of their computers and electronics had been damaged beyond repair.

The Firefly was an effective scout plane, but it only had a maximum speed of a measly mach 0.871, only slightly faster than a modern Boeing 747. So, Vortex decided to work on some improvements. Opening up his Virtual Planner (what he liked to call his unit designer), he loaded in the basic Firefly design. The first thing he did was to remove its long wings. Next, he flattened its cylindrical body, making it sleeker and more aerodynamic, and stealthier, too. Then he added a pair of delta wings, such that the aircraft now resembled an arrowhead. To provide thrust, he attached a pair of ramjet engines used to propel his cruise missiles.

He ended up with a craft that resembled the conceptualised Lockheed Martin SR-72 UAV. It fulfilled a similar role, too. Its powerful engines, light weight, and shape allowed it to easily surpass the sound barrier and achieve speeds of up to mach six. Next, he needed a name.

Hmm... Firefly, Firebird, Firebug...

Ah.

Firehawk.

Simple, sleek, sexy. Rolls right off the tongue, too.

His new design complete, he saved the design, built a dozen, and sent them on their way.

The symbiotes drew closer towards Kira, but stopped in their tracks only a a meter or so away from his face. While the rest remained in place only one of the infected drew close enough so that it's face and Kira's face met, it began to smell Kira before opening it's gaping mouth and revealing a tongue.

The graveyard of ships stretched for hundreds of thousands of miles, but to call it desolate was simply a foolish mistake. One of the scouting fireflies picked up on something before it's signal was quickly lost, snuffed out by an unknown figure. Four more firefly units had flown in to the surrounding area and were also quickly wiped out.

A fifth firefly was able to get an image of the creature before being wiped out.

COMMANDER VORTEX
Ship Graveyard

Another half-hour had passed, and both Vortex's economy and territory had expanded tremendously. A hundred more metal extractors had been built, and he had set up multiple forward bases all linked by a teleporter network to send in reinforcements in case they were attacked by any potential hostiles. Most of the bases were guarded by several laser turrets and artillery cannons. Walls surrounded each base, protecting the buildings inside from attack.

All in all, things were going pretty well. Vortex's Fireflies and Firehawks hadn't reported anything major yet, and for the most part, they were still mapping out the terrain.

The Commander was in the process of overseeing the construction of a pair of orbital launchers when he received an alert from one of the Fireflies he had sent out to survey the Graveyard. The scout plane had picked something up on its scanners, before he lost connection. Curious, Vortex sent six more Fireflies to investigate, but like the first, they were immediately taken out as soon as they reached the craft's last known location.

Metaphorically frowning, Vortex sent in the nearest Fireflies in the area. One of them managed to get an image of the unknown before it was destroyed. The unknown in question turned out to be a massive blue humanoid in ancient armour, wielding a massive sword. It was about as tall as Vortex's Commander body, if not even taller. It grabbed the last Firefly and brought it to its face.

"You entered my domain, you have made a mockery of sacred ground with your machines," It said. "I am giving you one chance to leave or I shall break you." The last part was clearly a threat, and Vortex certainly didn't want to be broken, although he could be repaired, but still, shitty idea. The Commander activated the Firefly's self-destruct mechanism, causing it to melt into molten slag in the giant's hand.

Guess it was time for some diplomacy.

Quickly, he scrambled a squadron of Kestrel gunships stationed in the closest firebase, flash-fabricated loudspeakers to each of them, and flew them towards the giant. Once they had reached it, the gunships immediately stopped in front of it and hovered in the air, their weapons at the ready. The one directly in front of it activated its loudspeakers, and Vortex cleared his nonexistent throat.

"Uh, hey there!" He awkwardly began. "I, uh, I can't really do that. I've already built a ton of stuff on this land of yours, and it's kind of hard for me to leave, because that would really damage my economy and stuff, and it'll be kind of a pain in the ass to build everything again. So how about a compromise? We leave each other alone, and you can stay in your part of this land, and I'll stay in mine. See? Perfectly reasonable."

Oliver had been on the run for a while now, trying to lose a group of symbiotes that had been following him for some time. Every time he collapsed small area behind him to slow them down, they just oozed their way through the cracks and kept up the chase. Reaching into his quiver, he drew a grappling arrow, firing up into a nearby building. He zipped up to the top within seconds and stabilized himself before running off across rooftops now, trying to gain some distance. He looked to the next rooftop to see a man calling for help, and he seemed to be cornered by multiple symbiotes. Ollie drew two explosive arrows from his quiver and aimed down at the symbiotes, releasing the arrows. He then drew a zipline arrow and fired it down. Using his bow as a grip, he slid down the zipline and landed next to the suited man.

Pretty soon, he brought them to bear on the few scorpions that leaped at the man he was protecting. Funny enough, the man had a weapon but didn't seem to know how to use it effectively. Jotaro noted he'd have to do most of the heavy lifting/fighting in this group, as per is trip to Egypt to fight DIO. Even though not one could see or hear it, Star Platinum released both a barrage of its fists and words as it yelled "ORAORAORAORAORAORA!" with each punch.
