Other What did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to join the military and be a police officer. I am quite possibly going to be able to do both at the same time. I am currently in the Army national guard, and with their help I plan to attend college and become an officer for the army. With that college education i plan to pursue my life long dream of being a police officer.

Well, I wanted (and still want) to be a samurai. Obviously, that can't happen due to the abolition of the Samurai social class in Japan (and because I'm white). Despite that, I still want to learn as much as I can about their way of life and the way they fight. I own a Samurai Sword set (all handmade and battle ready) and I plan on buying a full set of red Takeda Clan Samurai armor.

(No, I don't watch anime. Anime is part of the modern Japanese culture. I'm interested in feudal Japanese culture. That makes me a Japanologist, not a Weeaboo.)

Yes.
Or, in other words, president, a construction worker, a hobo, a psychologist, a doctor, a member of the United States Military, a historian, an author, a youtuber, an illustrator, a C.E.O., a teacher, a game designer, a game tester, an office drone, mayor, a senator, an ambassador, a McDonald's employee, an artist, an advertisement specialist, an athlete, an architect, a scientist, an archaeologist, and a philosopher.

A chemist.

I was incredibly consistent in my desires throughout my childhood until I got into high school and realised that I freaking hate chemistry.

Now I'm about to become a translator/interpreter.

I wanted to be a spy for the U.S government. Big aspirations, I know. Right now I'm aiming to be maybe a real estate agent or a lawyer, maybe doing a government job after that. But taking over my grandfather's farm or starting a small cafe and library would be nice too.

I always wanted to become an Orca trainer when I was young, mainly because of my addiction to the Free Willy movies. It ended when the harsh reality hit me though, realizing that Orca's shouldn't be kept in a tank smaller than the average swimming pool.

I wanted to be a dentist, and I actually spent my first two years of college trying to pursue that. Now I'm a web and graphic designer, which is quite the jump, but it really wasn't a thought I could have had when I was a kid - web design was just barely getting started when I was in grade school

I wanted to and still want to be a dancer and performer, though if that doesn't work out I will most likely take a route in graphic design or baking.

Don't laugh, a figure skater. I wanted to do all the twists and turns. I did do a twist once it ended bad.

I used to be obsessed with animals so I wanted to be a zoologist or veterinarian.

(Though I've realized the most I can handle is a cat.)

Go do it and good luck my friend. Don't be like the rest of us losers who get nostalgic because we wanted to be a cat hairdresser and ended up in in IT.

I would have made those cats look so damn fine.

I wanted to be a space detective LOL. I never played with things like action figures or w/e but I had my Spy Kids toys and would just go outside with my friend and just uncover shit
