Grayson was about to snatch the bottle back off Rema, when she decided to smash it over the back of the bench. He flinched away, not fond of the idea of shards of glass flying at him. Thankfully Rema dispersed them, allowing Grayson to relax and pay attention to Amethyst without the fear of glass lodged in his skin.

She was protesting to hum and Grayson shook his head at her. If she was going to write music she might as well play it, even without an instrument. Grayson was stubborn and nosey, Amethyst knew the bounds of his curiosity.

Grayson was watching her intently as she finally began to hum the tune. It was a pleasant noise,
He wish he knew how to write music like that. He did a few music scores for extra points in his tutoring, all theory based, no playing instruments. But they weren’t up to the level that she had. He zoned out during her humming, just staring at her while his mind when off on tangents.

He only zoned back in when she had stopped and looked away, still pink. He didn’t see why she should be embarrassed, she was talented. The hobby was a little rare and kind of nerdy, but definitely not something to be shy about.

“I’m going to tell everyone.” He threatened, but the faint smile on his face said otherwise. He was just playing around. “It’s nice.” He complimented.
*rema kind of watches them, suddenly feeling like a third wheel. Shifting uncomfortably, she starts to think about things* "the annhilation of the human race will be no easy feat" *she whispers nonchalanty*

When Rema smashed the glass bottle on the bench she flinched a little. The ringing noise in her ears and she shook it off. She felt herself smile at him when he complimented her singing. It felt good to have a genuine smile on her face to even laugh.

"Thanks." She mumbled and looked away embarrassed again. She needed to chance the subject off of her. She looked back up at Grayson, studying his face with a grin.

"Have you red this book?" She asked Grayson and extended the book from her chest out to him. She raised a eyebrow to see if he had. Because if he had she knew they were going to get along great. This has the best romance novel out there even if people disagreed. She was still smiling and she thread one of of her hands through the roots of the tree again.

Grayson leaned forward to take the book from Amethyst, his gaze moving across the cover, before he flipped it and read the summary on the back. He remembered she had mentioned this book earlier, her favorite book. “I’ve read it before,” He flicked through a few pages before closing it and handing it back out to her, “It’s okay.”

But Grayson then tensed, hearing Rema mention annihilating humans again. He cast a wary look at her, unsure what she meant by that. Grayson was human, and he wasn’t fond of the idea of being wiped out. Was she able to kill all humans? Was she going to try? Did it include Grayson?

“Why do you hate humans?” He asked, curiosity getting the better of him. He didn’t quite understand it, most humans just did their day to day job to make money and live.

*rema looks at grayson angrily* "humans are useless perverted, selfish pigs and have no place in this world. they are cruel and ruthless and all the bad humans must go"

(Interactions: Cello. Cello. + click norris click norris )

Grayson countered Rema’s angry look with a glare. He regretted asking. As a human that was prideful over his representation, he took humans being called selfish pigs and perverted personally.

“No, they’re not.” He argued, crossing his arms and looking at Rema with a displeased expression. “Discrediting the entirety of human history is ignorant and you are selfish for thinking like that.” Grayson probably should’ve been more careful with how he worded things due to the fact Rema did have a thing for killing people. But he didn’t care, his pride felt hurt and he had an intense need to try defend it.

“It is stupid.” Grayson stared at Rema, glare still in full force. It was evident the male wasn’t just going to let this topic slide past.

*rema looks away* "humans are selfish...just look at your government... You are all power hungry...murderous monsters"

(Interactions: Cello. Cello. + click norris click norris )

Grayson couldn’t argue about the government, there was some nasty humans in there, but the generalisation of all of them was getting him going. He could feel his blood simmering, annoyed.

“No, no you know what?” Grayson stood up, as if he had heard enough. But he didn’t leave, he instead turned to Rema with a fierce scowl.

“Maybe humans treat you like that because of how you treat them. Compared to humankind, you’re more power hungry and murderous than most of them.” His voice was managing to stay rather calm and normal, but things had started to shift. Fallen leaves on the grass were moving as if pushed by the wind. But there was no wind, they were just moving on their own free will.

Grayson crouched down in front of Rema, looking up at the girl seated on the bench.
“How many people have you killed, huh? Three? Seventeen? ...Thirty?”

He tilted his head, a very unkind smile on his face. He was angry. “Maybe you’ve lost count?”

Grayson lingered in silence for a moment, before standing back up. He glowered down at Rema, “You’re the monster. Not humans.”

She watched the trees shake and things move around them. Someone was getting pissed and she had a thought it was Grayson. She scowled at both of them. She didnt need for her two friends to argue. Both were in the wrong here. "Stop it now. We are all bad and nothing justifies anything." She said in a hard tone. She flared out her wings and rested her hand on Graysons forearm lightly.

"You need to calm down." She said softly but didn't remove her hand. She looked at him like she knew what was going to happen if he didnt. She turned to Rema with a smile though its wasnt a all that friendly smile.

"You need to stop drinking it messes with your head and you say things you cant take back." She signed and crossed her arms across her black blouse.

He felt Amethyst rest her hand on his arm, but Grayson was still glaring at Rema, as if wanting to continue the argument. After a long tense moment, he looked off to the side with a huff. Amethyst had made a good point, Rema had been drinking and it was silly of Grayson to try and prove a point to her in that state. It still stung having humankind spoken about like that, to be called selfish, perverted, a monster.

He exhaled hard through his nose in a sigh, doing his best to take Amethyst's advice and calm down. The leaves stopped, and things seemed to be back to normal. But Grayson still had an unhappy expression, struggling between his temper and becoming calm. Maybe it was good Amethyst was there to step in, to stop things from getting out of hand and either of them from hurting each other.

But Grayson was not going to accept Rema's apology, in fact, his jaw tensed to stop himself from snapping anything at her. He kept his focus on a nearby flower, arms crossed and frowning as he willed himself to simmer down.

She removed her hand from Graysons arm and looked at both of them. She nodded bye to both of them before she got angry, she was good at hiding it but didnt want to loose it on her friends. She bent down and picked up her book and walked down the bushes a little bit before sitting down near the rose patches.

She moved some aside and brushed her long white hair over her shoulder and laid down in the roses. She got cut by thorns but didnt really care, she couldnt feel it at all and she closed her eyes. She pulled the book closer her her chest and started humming the song again.

Her voice went higher on certain parts to indicate changing of a scene or a special moment. She stopped after awhile and looked at the stars.

He was staring darkly at Rema when Amethyst silently bowed out of the conversation, walking off some direction into the garden with her book. Grayson lingered for a long time, as if deciding whether to say something else to Rema.

"Sorry." He said stiffly after a long silence. Rema was drunk, he should've been more controlled and responsible with what he had said to the female. He was slightly ashamed of his behaviour, but still very annoyed. With an irritable sigh he turned and left the Garden to head for his dorm, wanting nothing else than to just crawl into bed and end the day. Today had been more messy than the rest of his life combined and he was going to try sleep it off.

She sat up and watched Grayson leave the garden. She looked back at Rema and shook her head slightly. She picked up her book and started to head to her dorm. She spread her wings and shook them out, she was upset she didnt do more to spilt the argument off. She ran her hands through her hand and walked to the building. She went around corners and up a flight of stairs before reaching her room.

She opened the door to spot no roommates or even anything there. Guess she was dorming alone. She sighed and changed her outfit into a tank top and sweats, her hair going into a messy bun.

She looked at her cello and smiled. She forgot she wanted to play earlier and grabbed her music sheet from her book. She picked up the cello and propped it up between her legs and held the bow in her shaky hand. She played a couple scales to make sure it was still in tune, it was. She looked at the piece before running the bow lightly across the strings creating a deep rich sound. She played the first notes softly then sped up, her hands flying across the neck of the instrument soon after.

She closed her eyes and flowed back to the beginning of the melody playing her hearts content out. The sound vibrated off the walls and around the empty halls near her room and she felt bad for whoever was near. She started to hum the tune along with the instrument creating a nice contrast between her voice and the instrument itself.

After waking up she felt slightly better. No much though because her best friend was still died and no amount of time could change that. She picked up Honeysuckle and smiled slightly. She wiped off her sticky face and rubbed her eyes.

Her face was puffed up and bright red. She walked out of her room and decided to wonder the halls. Her bare feet hit the concrete below and she watched the lights flicker on the upper halls. "Why did you have to leave.." She whispered.

She nodded to the girl. "Its alright. I should have watched where I was going." She said with a rough voice and walked off past the girl. Her mind consumed on one thing. Fixing Jasons burial area. She walked down the corners and into the gardens, she turned slightly and closed her eyes. She tilted her head to the pleasant aroma of the flowers, instantly calming her mind.

She opened her eyes and walked to the Bat Flowers, picking a dozen or so of them and then grabbed roses. She walked around the campus until she was at Jasons burial sight and knelt down. She places the flowers in a entrecote design around the stone. She tried to smile but her lips trembled and she started crying again. She set Honeysuckle down and watched her slither around for a bit.

Amethyst Lightwood

She stopped the song and took a deep breath, setting the cello down on its side gently. She stretched and smiled as she placed the bow back in its place. She grabbed her blade and strapped it to her side in case and walked out of her dorm barefoot. Her wings fluttered in the halls as they expanded.

She wanted to practice her power in private without destroying anything in her dorm. She reached the outside and turned to a hill with a weeping willow on top of it. She slowly walked to it and knelt down. She held her hands out to the sky and signed a simple symbol. She watched it glow before closing her eyes and feeling the energy shift around her, a pure light ball in her hands.

She opened her eyes and threw it into the distance, luminating things before fading. She repeated this multiple times before growing tired. She looked at her arm and the veins were turning black but she shook her head and went to focus back on the throwing.

She signed, hiding the veins on her arm.

She tilted her head and crossed her arms over her chest. "I wouldnt really call me a friend but more of a helper and how did you find out?" She signed with a raised eyebrow. She was almost pretty sure no one else was there in the halls when Rema handed her knife over or maybe she went to meet up with Shinkado.

Grayson had spent some time in his dorm, unpacking. He arranged his book collection in the shelf, then rearranged, then rearranged again until it all looked nice to him. All while the familiar female ghost from the carriage was staring at him. She was staring from the corner, standing idle and ogling at him with a slack jawed dull eyed expression.
Grayson glanced at her boredly for a long moment, then back to the shelves. Ghost tended to be a bit more frequent later in the day.

“Is tallest to smallest not appealing?” He tilted his head at the books, inspecting their order in silence. He got no reply from the ghost, and looked back over at her. “Like you would know anything about fine literature.” He scoffed and made a little shoo motion with his hand to try and get her to go away. Grayson wanted to look over his course material before classes begun, get a head-start on studying. This proved difficult when the ghost began banging its head into the wall.

Bang... Bang... Bang.. Bang...

His eyebrow twitched and he paused his writing, waiting for that incessant noise again. He paused for a long time, pen hovering over the paper as he waited for it. When nothing sounded, he resumed.

Bang.

He dropped his pen and leaned back in the chair, rubbing his hands over his face. "This is fine." He tried to convince himself in a defeated mumble. This was not fine.

Bang.. Bang... Bang...

He stood from his chair, took his pen and his book and walked directly out of the dorm. He could work on his abstract algebra theorem equations somewhere else. Somewhere away from her. He could hear her dragging footsteps as she tried to follow him, but Grayson had long legs and walked fast when he had places to be. Or people to get away from. He wanted coffee. Correction, he needed coffee. Conveniently nobody else was in the cafeteria at this time, meaning Grayson could just get his drink and work in peaceful silence at a table in there.
