She smiled at the girl before nodding. "Have a good night." She said and went off to go explore the campus. She didnt know what she wanted to do or where to go. She just needed to get her mind off of him. She couldnt believed it happened so fast or so suddenly. She looked at Honeysuckle and smiled a bit before shifting her down to the floor so she could slither around. She traced her hand along the walls and stopped to look at a painting.

Amethyst Lightwood

She smiled and her eyes went bright. "To get better." She signed and yawned. She shifted her wings and waved bye. She was tired but knew she needed to get some work done. Most likely her music piece if she could.

She extended her wings and flew back to the school. When she landed near the outside door she opened the door quietly and slipped inside. She walked down the halls and to her door, opening it to see if anyone was inside. No one was and she sighed in relief.

She grabbed her music paper and a pencil walking to where ever she felt like she needed to go. She let her wings glide down the empty hallways and she stopped near the cafeteria and peered inside.

She saw Grayson in there and smiled, not going to bother him as he looked busy. She continuing to open a nearby door to the outside. She sat against the wall to the school and breathed in the smell of the outside. She started thinking of the book, notes flowing through her mind and she wrote them down on the paper.

After she had a good couple bars down she hummed to herself softly from the beginning to the end. It flowed well with the rest of it and she smiled softly.

(i have a wierd feeling this place has been abandoned)

Grayson-
His studying had been perfect. He had his coffee, his notebook, his favorite ink pen, and silence.

It had been perfect. All until that familiar BANG sounded from the corner of the cafeteria. Grayson stopped his writing, slowly lowering his head onto the notebook in defeat. "I hate you."

"Do you not have anything better to do?" He mumbled, "Maybe something that doesn't require noise?" The ghost didn't respond, just hit her head into the wall with another loud BANG.

Grayson stood up and began collecting his things. "You're ugly." He commented childishly, not sure what insulting the ghost would do much help. It made Grayson feel better anyway. With a frown he looked down at his notebook, his notes printed in his perfect cursive. They were great. But his pen was gone. That was not great. If it was anything else, he would not have cared, but Grayson liked that pen. The weight and flow of ink was perfect and it was crested with engraved steel. He wouldn't be able to work as well with any other writing utensil. It would take years for him to find another perfect pen.

Doing his best to ignore the loud braindead ghost in the corner, he searched on and under the table for it.

Emery- Interacting with Cello. Cello. - Amethyst
The cat brushed up against the legs of the female. The girl was seated outside and focused writing on a piece of paper.

The cat was white, with blue eyes that were staring up at this girl. It was also holding an ink pen in it's mouth, teeth bitten down on the metal to keep it from dropping.

The little animal gave a wiggle of it's tail, before sitting next to her as if wanting company or warmth. The cat then moved closer, seating itself comfortably on the girl's foot. He tucked his paws underneath him, a little ball settling down. People tended to like cats, in this form he could get away with things like this. The pen dropped from his mouth and he swatted it with a paw to bring it closer, his treasure for today. Grayson's metal ink pen. The white cat, Emery, had wanted it. He took it while the weird pale boy was talking to himself in the cafeteria.

Now that Emery had seized such a shiny object, he was just attention seeking for the hell of it. Emery didn't have anything better to do than pester people at the moment. But the cat seemed awfully relaxed, just half laid on Amethyst's foot, guarding the shiny pen with pleasant purrs.

She looked up from her music piece to see a white furry object. She let out a blood curdling scream and flared out her wings as she stumbled backwards. She tripped over a rock and scrambled away on her hands and feet as fast as she could. She left her sheet but didnt seem to notice and she had a panicked look on her face.

She quickly looked at it and didnt know if to call for help or just run. What was that thing? She was breathing heavily and her outfit was covered in dirt.

Artemis Hunt

She shifted her holding on her bag and looked at Fae with hard eyes. "Why did you drag me into this?" She asked and Fae just shrugged.

Artemis looked out the window of the carriage. It was nightfall and she knew her and Fae missed a good portion of everything. She was fine by that though. She didnt need to meet anyone or make friends here. her sole purpose was to protect Fae from harm and be her friend. That was easy right?

She lifted her hand to her mask and lifted it slightly and scratched her nose before pulling the mask back down. She felt the carriage come to a stop at a gate and then they opened. She found herself within the campus of the school and she let out a sound of awe. She has never seen anything quite as big as the school.

She shifted in her seat when they came to a sudden stop for good. The driver opened the door and nodded to the girls as they stepped out. Fae was making little fan girl noises and threw down her bag. She was running around in the grass and Artemis rolled her eyes. "Pick up your bag we are going inside." She said and started towards the school.

Artemis could hear Fae catching up behind her and had a frown on her face. Artemis laughed and Fae glared at her. She propped open the front doors and walked to the fighting rooms. She wanted to release this tension in her muscles after sitting in a carriage all day. She threw her bag down and rolled her shoulders.

She withdrew her dagger and Fae's eyes went wide as she drew out her own dagger.

Fae Cove

When Artemis pulled out her dagger her eyes went wide. She loved dagger training with her friend and withdrew a sleek silver blade with blood red pearls dancing across the entire blade.

She lunged straight for Artemis who was quick to sidestep her. She ended up on the ground, rolling. When she was back up to her feet Artemis had her blade pointed at her. She held her own in a defensive position and Artemis lunged for her and Fae deflected the hit.

This went on for a while as they were careful not to majorly damage each other. Fae had a cut along her fore arm and Artemis had one on hers. Blood dripped onto the mats as they continued to clash blades.

Sounds of the obsidian dagger Artemis held against her sliver one echoed around the room. She was dripping in sweat and taking deep breaths in-between attacks. She couldnt believe Artemis wasnt breaking a sweat and could still breathe with her mask on.

Grayson sighed, giving up. He had no idea where his pen went, but he expected to find it somewhere stupid and obvious in the future.

He had only just left the cafeteria when he heard a scream close-by. The male had all the intentions to instantly walk the opposite way, away from the drama. But decided since he was so close, he might as well go see what it is. He was nosy, after all. He turned the corner and stopped, staring at the situation. Amethyst was on the grass, alone, and looking pretty freaked out.

He approached calmly and paused once he was stood beside the girl, looking down at her with a judgemental frown. "What... are you doing?" Grayson asked, confused what was going on here. She was covered in dirt and he assumed she was the one that screamed.

Emery- Interacting with Cello. Cello. - Amethyst + Fae + Artemis
The cat was calm, all until the female screeched. It's slitted eyes shot open and he grabbed the pen in his mouth, scrambling away from her, equally as scared as her. He made an annoyed hiss, arching his back like the cat was preparing to run at the girl. This was not the response he was used to. He was used to compliments and faces of awe. This had never happened before. Annoyed, he scampered directly at her to try scare her, before veering to the side and running off with the pen again. Emery was not going to get any attention from that girl. She lost her chance to pet his fluffy white fur, and he had lost his chance to try steal her earring. Maybe next time.

Emery was perplexed and rattled by that extreme reaction, this was not how it usually went down. Never had anyone screamed at him. While deep in his thoughts, he stopped when a familiar smell hit his nose. Blood. His head turned, gaze landing on the doors to the fight training room.

He could hear noises inside, and impulsively crept closer. He soon deciphered the sounds as metal hitting metal. The head of the cat peered into the room, watching the two figures fight for a moment before slithering down the side of the room undetected. They were both clearly skilled fighters, but his focus was more drawn to the blood on the mats and the wounds on their arms. It made him hungry.

After a little while, Emery tutted, clicking his tongue against the roof of his mouth to get their attention. The cat was now in his usual human form, sitting casually on a desk. He was still holding the pen in his hand, clicking the nib in and out repeatedly in an annoying loud rhythm.

"Who's going to clean that?" He inquired, pointing the shiny pen towards the bloody floor. His blue gaze flickered to the one with the mask, then to the shorter one, a smile moving across his face. She was short. He liked short people.

When the cat ran at her she was moving back again until it left. She was shaking like crazy and had a panicked expression on her face as she tried to figure out what that thing was. She looked up to see Grayson, still trembling she stood up.

She folded her wings closer to her small figure and looked at him again. "Weird white thing... With fur.. Bright Blue eyes.. Sat on my leg." She said through shaky breaths.

She looked around Grayson and walked to her paper, picking it up and folded it. She stuck it in her pocket and tried to take a deep breath before returning back to Grayson.

Artemis Hunt

As they were still going she saw something sneak into the room and glanced at it. Fae sent a blow to her arm and Artemis quickly dodged it at the last second. She shifted her mask and glanced at her arm, a fine line of blood trailed off it. When she heard some one speak she turned to it, unaware someone was in here. She had her bow quickly drawn and loaded with an arrow without really thinking. It was something she was used to doing.

When he asked about the blood she glanced at the floor, lines of blood across the ground. She didnt really pay attention to when she bled but upon noticing she frowned. "Well us I guess. Its our mess." She said and still had the bow in her hands.

She watched him look at Fae and she growled slightly. Without thinking she stepped in front of her friend in a protective stance.

Fae Cove

She sent another blow to Artemis when she was distracted, cutting her arm shallowly. She turned to where a voice was coming from and looked up at a guy who was sitting there. She nodded to what Artemis was saying, her hair cascading over her shoulders. When he smiled at her, she was grinning until Artemis blocked him from her view. She peered around the side of Artemis shoulder, pushing her long hair out of the way.

She laid her head on Artemis' shoulder and smiled again. "Who are you?" She asked and raised her eyebrow.

"Weird white thing." Grayson repeated. Sounded like she was talking about him. "With fur and blue eyes..." His immediate thought was a wolf, and he looked concerned for a moment.

"How big was it?" He questioned, eyeing Amethyst for any blood. "Did it bite you?" He cast a look around their surroundings, a quick scan for the said danger, but found nothing. If there was dangerous animals around he didn't think it would be a good idea to stay out here like this. He watched her pocket a piece of paper, assuming she had been working as well before she was attacked.

Emery let off a low whistling noise as the one with the mask drew her bow. He was smiling, raising his hands up as if it was a stick up. "Touchy." He cooed, amusement being sparked. The male hopped off the desk, approaching the two with a perk in his step. He was now looking mostly at the female with the mask, since she had stepped in front of the other one protectively. Once in arms reach he stopped, and gently placed a finger on the arrow pointed directly at him, pushing it to the side in a feeble attempt to get the taller female to stop aiming it at him. He then noticed he was taller than both of them, much to his own glee.

"I just- I get awfully shy when someone is pointing weapons at me," Emery hinted, "So shy I can't remember my own name.." He sighed dramatically, but his sly smile remained in place and he gave the pen another annoying click. His gaze returned back to the shorter female. She was friendlier, not aiming a weapon at him, and was peeking out from behind the hostile one.

"Emery." He introduced himself only to that female, doing a sardonic little bow for her. Emery looked back to the one in the mask, eyes narrowing. "You don't get an introduction until you stop flirting with me,"

His gaze soon moved back down to the mats, focusing on the blood. It smelled nice, and he could feel his mind wandering.

She tilted her head as she thought of the thing. She gestured roughly about the size of a normal cat and was still slightly shaking. She shook her head to his next question. "No but it looked like a fur ball." She said.

She watched him look around and smiled slightly. "It left." She said quietly and brushed her hands onto her pants. She hoped she didnt get the music sheet dirty. That would be a shame.

Artemis Hunt

When he stepped with range, she lowered the bow. She still towered over Fae but much to her dismay, this boy was taller than her. "Quit being so god damn dramatic." She called him out.

She glared as he introduced himself to Fae. When he claimed she was flirting with him she growled again. In a flash her bow was up and she was stepping closer to Emery. She had her hand on his throat and dug her fingernails into the soft flesh of his neck. She lifted him off the ground slightly and had a hard glare in her eye. "Dont fuck with me." She hissed before dropping him to the ground, sweeping his feet out from underneath him.

For someone of her size she was quite strong. She remembered when she first met Fae and she was terrified by how quick Artemis could move. She stepped back and crossed her arms.

Fae Cove

She smiled bright when Emery introduced himself but when he decided to call out Artemis on flirting, she grimaced. This was not going to end well. "Im Fae-" She started to say but watched as Artemis choked him. She was right as always.

She rolled her eyes slight and strapped her blade to her hip. She crossed her arms and looked at Emery. 'Dont worry this is normal. Dont anger her." She said with a nod. She watched Artemis drop him to the ground, sending his feet out from underneath him. She laughed slightly, wondering how that would feel.

Grayson blinked as Amethyst showed him roughly how big the animal was.

"Amethyst I-" He was really trying not to laugh. He cleared his throat, and set his face in a stern expression, trying again. "Amethyst-" He paused again, struggling.

"Amethyst did it have whiskers?" Grayson inquired, managing to get the sentence out calmly enough. He was trying to take the situation seriously since the female was so upset, but the size and the way she was describing this animal was making it really difficult for him. "A tail, perhaps?"

Emery-
Interactions: Cello. Cello. - Fae + Artemis
"Mhm?" Emery hadn't heard what was said, breaking his attention from the blood. He didn't have much time to react even if he wanted to, the girl in the mask was at his throat, sinking her nails in. He didn't seem alarmed, or did anything to stop it, he just smiled at her. When she swiped his legs from under him he managed to catch his body before hitting the ground and then moved into a crouch, staring up at the two. She was strong, and he was curious how much mask girl could lift.

Emery's face was shocked, as if he was insulted by her words rather than her actions. "Will you stop? We are in public." He hissed at the girl in the mask, as if they had some forbidden romance hidden between them. Despite being attacked, he was unbothered by it. It was not the first time, nor would it be his last. He rubbed his neck where the female had sunk her nails into, it felt more like an uncomfortable pressure than anything painful. Maybe he'd feel it more later when bruising came in. There was small droplets of dark blood on his neck from where the nails had dug into and he gently dabbed it with a finger before tasting it. Bit weird.

"I think she likes me." Emery announced to Fae in a loud whisper, as if being attacked by the girl in the mask was an achievement and meant they were friends. He stood up straight, licking the last bit of blood off of his finger and smiled at the two, sly like usual. Another click of the pen in his hand.

"Very nice to meet you, Fae." He commented, his eyes flickering to the girl in the mask, in silent encouragement to tell him her name. "And who is Miss Grabby-Hands?"

She furrowed her brow as he tried not to laugh. She could see it in his face that he was trying so hard not to. She flicked her wings when he asked her a question.

"Whiskers.." She thought for a moment before a image popped up in her head from a textbook she read once. She nodded but didnt know how that helped. "And I think.. it had a big poofy noddle off its back end." She said as she tried to describe a tail, not really knowing what it was.

She was trying to remember what the thing looked like and wondered why it came up to her? Did it have to terrify her like that? She shivered slightly at the thought of the animal moving closer to her as if to attack. She shifted her wings so they rested on the ground and she brushed the dirt off one of them.

Artemis Hunt

She let out another growl and was debating on if she could stab him or not. It was a appropriate response to how he was acting. Right? She shook her head slightly to clear her mind. She promised she would be better for Fae but didnt really know if she could. "Shut the fuck up." She hissed. She was unbothered by what he was saying about it but it did annoy her.

She watched him dab at his neck and lick the blood of his hands she wrinkled her nose slightly. She drew out her blade and was tossing it around in the air, catching it every time. The obsidian gleamed in the light.

When he "whispered" to Fae that he thinks she liked him she snorted. "As if anyone with a decent god damn mind would like you." She said bluntly though her words were as sharp as daggers. Fae let out a fit out giggled and flopped against Artemis back and Artemis turned her head to look at her.

Fae Cove

She laughed when Emery "whispered" to her and leaned on Artemis' back to hold herself up. Artemis turned and glared at her and Fae stopped with a smile. She poked her head back around and grinned at Emery. "Nice to meet you as well! And this is Ar-" She started to say before Artemis clamped her hand over Faes mouth. She bite down on her hand slightly but Artemis didnt budge.

"My name is none of your damn business." Artemis said stiffly and glared at Emery. Fae crossed her arms and flicked her hair back over her shoulder.

"OooOOoo someone has a crush~" Fae said muffled by Artemis hand. Artemis who could clearly hear what she said removed her hand and elbowed Fae in the gut. Fae let out a little snort and laughed.

"Again again but this time harder! I wanna know what someone feels like when you do that in battle!" She said and clapped her hands. Artemis rolled her eyes and laughed.

Grayson couldn't help it, a laugh slipping from his mouth which he quickly covered with a hand.

He pulled his notebook open, flicking to the page from earlier and showing her the shitty drawing of the cat. Hoping she'd find the similarities in what she saw vs what he drew for her.

"It was a cat, Amethyst." He looked down at her, she looked a mess, which made him frown that a little cat spooked her that much. "They're harmless, just dramatic." But now Grayson was looking around the area again. He wanted a cat. He wondered where it had ran off to. If it was a stray he could steal it. Even if it was someone else's cat, he could steal it. He sighed, his concern fading realizing they were pretty safe here, but no cat was in sight.

"Have you seen my pen anywhere?" Grayson questioned, having been reminded of it when getting his notebook out. He was a bit disappointed to have lost it. "What were you working on?"

Emery- Interactions: Cello. Cello. - Fae + Artemis
"Ah." Emery said with a nod of his head, as if understanding what Artemis was saying. "Your mind isn't very decent then, is it?" The girl in the mask had a temper and was easy to rile up, and Emery was feeding it generously. "Grabby-Hands it is, then." Emery decided the name himself, since she had no intention of letting him learn it. He was happy Fae had found what he said amusing, that made one person.

With a smile he leaned against the desk he was seated on earlier. He made a little 'oo' noise seeing the masked female elbow the other in the gut, but the short female was enthusiastic about it. Excited for more, it seemed. Masochistic things maybe. Emery took notice of that.

"You're a bit of a weird one, aren't you Fae?" Not even Emery enjoyed getting hit in the gut, so he was intrigued at how strange it was. He tilted his head to the side, studying the two of them with a smile. An odd pair. "You're not sisters, are you?" Emery asked. "I don't get involved with siblings, too much drama."

She frowned when he laughed. "I-Its not funny!" She stammered and crossed her arms. When he pulled out the drawing from earlier, she thought about how it looked similar to what she saw.

When he said it was a cat she shivered slightly. She looked up at him and hugged his waist, a non-thought out action on her part. She tucked her head into his chest. "No no that thing was terrifying." She said and laughed slightly.

She still didnt realize that she was hugging him, she was lost in her mind, thinking about the cat when he asked another question. She stepped back quickly and blushed. She rubbed her neck embarrassed by her actions.

"S-Sorry and I think that.. cat.. had it-" She said and remembered seeing the cat with a pen. She smiled when he asked what she was working on. She brushed her wings out into the air before settling them back again. "A music piece." She said quietly and looked at the ground.

Artemis Hunt

She snarled and went to grab for his throat again before stopping. "My mind is perfectly fine. Yours is messed up." She said as she stepped back.

She clasped her hands behind her and frowned when he called her Grabby-hands again. Fae looked up at her and let out a fit out giggles. Artemis rolled her eyes at the smaller female.

"Yea thats not going to work Dumbass. Call me that again and I will rip your vertebrae out of your back and beat you with it." She said and crossed her arms. She thought for a moment and sighed.

"If you insist you can call me Hunter." She said stiffly and Fae smiled.

Fae Cove

She smiled when Artemis told him her nickname. She was glad Artemis was somewhat being nice though she wasnt fond of her being so protective. Her smile faltered when he called her weird and Artemis snarled. She was back at his throat, repeating the process of earlier but not setting him down this time.

Fae looked at Artemis and nodded slightly before rolling her eyes. "Im not weird I am normal. And no we are not sisters." She said as if she was stating the obvious which to her she was.

She thought it was normal to want to see people hurt and she found it interesting to see how harmful someone can be to someone else.

Grayson was amused, here stood someone with the ability to heal a cracked in skull, and she was afraid of a cat. "You're right." He nodded, composing himself to his usual self. "Not funny."

But his composed demeanour didn't last long, as Amethyst soon hugged him and hid her face in his chest. Grayson didn't know what to do and he panicked, his arms slightly lifted as if a child had grabbed onto him. He seemed scared of touching her. He had never been in a situation like this and it showed. Gingerly, in a poor attempt to comfort her he rested his hand on top of her head, remaining still as a mouse until she pulled away.

"Oh." He responded quietly, not entirely focused on what she had said about his pen or her music sheet. His brain felt gooey. "Cool." An odd phrase to come from Grayson's mouth. His face was warm and his mouth felt dry and he was staring intensely at the grass, unfocused, a little bit dazed maybe. He had completely forgotten about the cat roaming around the school, now just trying to get his incoherent thinking back in order.

Emery- Interactions: Cello. Cello. - Fae + Artemis

"Why do you like touching me so much, Hunter?" He posed the question after she had threatened to beat him with his vertebrate. He was glad he had gotten some type of name to call her, but he would miss seeing her reaction to 'Grabby-Hands'. "See? Progress. So much can bloom when you aren't trying to kill me." Emery had found the way she tucked her hands behind herself to be most entertaining, seeing the control she was exhibiting to not try and attack him.

He heard Fae explained they weren't sisters and nodded in understanding. "So you're just the owner of the dog." By dog he meant Hunter, and flickered a sly grin towards her.

Neither of them enjoyed his comment of how weird Fae was, Hunter losing it and lunging for his neck again. This was going to be a reoccurring thing between them. "I'll behave," He whispered in surrender, mostly a lie. He could feel the nails digging cruelly into his flesh and against his windpipe. His skin was going to look like he had been lynched, but he wasn't too worried about that.

Again not really paying attention to her actions she stepped forward again and rested her hand on his cheek lightly. "Are you ok?" She asked. She was worried she did something wrong. Which she might have as she hugged him.

She went to step back again when a fellow student ran into her. She bumped into Grayson and grabbed his hand quickly to balance herself before she fell. She could feel her face growing warmer by the second and the kid mumbled apologies before walking off.

She flicked her wings and went to step back. "Im sorry again." She mumbled and twisted her book in the grass. Her mind was a puddle of thoughts and nothing seemed to be coherent in her mind. She shook her head slightly trying to focus.

Artemis Hunt

She snorted slightly. "I dont. Trust me this is the least touchy feely ive ever been. Oh yes progress!" She said and dug her nails in more. She could see blood dripping from his neck and she grinned under her mask.

Her face went pale when he called her a dog. She brought him down and yanked him closer to her. Her masked face right by his ear and whispered, "Call me a god damn dog again and I will see through to my threat." She kneed him in the gut rather harshly but she didnt care.

When he said he'll "behave" she let out a small laugh. She removed her hand from his neck but it went straight to his jaw and tugged it to make him look at her. She had a hard glare in her eye and a bit of a scar poked out from underneath her eye."Dont fucking lie to me." She said and her grip tightened on his jaw.

Fae Cove

She watched the two with a smirk. Artemis was being nicer than usual until he called her a dog. It went down hill from there.

She crossed her arms and glared at Emery. "She is being nicer than usual!" She said with a nod. She walked over to them and took his face in her hand gently while it was still in Artemis' hand. She winked before tapping his nose, laughing before backing away.

"Im going for a walk Hunter!" She announced and strode out of the room, her weapons gleaming. She found herself outside and was lost in her thoughts when she ran into a winged female. She sent the female into a larger male and she mumbled apologies before quickly moving away.

Grayson flinched feeling something touch his face, arriving back to reality and blinking at Amethyst. He calmed down just as fast realizing it was just her hand.

"Yes." He responded quickly, thankful he managed to form a normal reply for the female. He didn't want her noticing his dumbed out moment.

When someone bumped into Amethyst and sent her stumbling into him, he impulsively held his hand out to try stabilize her. Or catch her, either one. Grayson scowled towards the female, someone he hadn't met, but she was already walking off. Once his irritation died down, only then did he become painfully aware of the close proximity of the two, and Amethyst's hand in his.

"Sorry." He mumbled red in the face, and quickly pulled his hand away, accidentally apologizing at the same time Amethyst did which made the situation messier. He awkwardly cleared his throat and looked away, racking his brain to think of something to say that wasn't 'sorry' or 'cool'.

"Are you okay?" He asked, wincing that that was the best thing he could think of to say. "People should watch where they're walking.."

Emery- Interactions: Cello. Cello. - Fae + Artemis
Emery felt her grip tighten and the warm blood beginning to slide down his neck, his eyebrows furrowing just slightly. The pain of that was a lot more noticeable, and he raised a hand to grip her wrist to stop her from digging in any further. Emery was grateful his pain tolerance was abnormally high, but the feeling was now uncomfortable.

The knee to the gut was a bit of a shock to his system, knocking most of the breath out of his lungs. Emery's lips parted in a quiet gasp, before they moved into a smile, he tilted his head slightly to peer at her. He knew the dog comment would send her off the rails.

When Fae said Hunter was being nicer than usual, he glanced to the shorter female. "She's a softie." He responded, tone dripping in sarcasm, before the hard hand on his jaw pulled his attention back. He didn't mind that. He thought it wasn't too bad at all, he was getting attention.

Of course the nice female was running off and leaving him with the hostile one. Emery watched intently as Fae also came over, touching his face and flicking his nose with a laugh before leaving. Her touch was a lot gentler than Hunter's. He would've preferred she stayed since the girl in the mask seemed to behave better on behalf of Fae.

With now just him and Hunter in the room together, he looked back at her and noticed the scar below her eye, gaze moving to it. He'd ask when he was a safe distance away from her.

He was silent at first, before an obedient and polite little "Woof." drifted from his mouth, his best example of him behaving. Despite what would be considered a loss for Emery, he still seemed rather happy. He wouldn't mind being the dog instead. A well behaved one, at that. He smiled at Hunter, now feeling an odd respect for the angry female. Not alot of people straight up attacked him when he was being annoying.

She quickly stepped back after being close to Grayson and her heart was pounding in her chest. She could feel her herself struggling for any amount of words. She went to answer his question but quickly closed her mouth.

She nodded quickly and wringed her hands together to stop herself from really saying anything. When he was talking again she looked up and blinked. Not really hearing what he said she just nodded slightly. She fiddled with her necklace, sliding the Amethyst stone across the chain quietly.

She flicked her wings as she looked back up at Grayson. "I- uhm- Im sorry- Wait I said that." She stumbled as she thought of something to say to the awkward situation that had been. She didnt know why she couldnt speak straight around Grayson or why she was speaking to him and not signing.

She noticed him gazing at her face more assumingly her scar. She frowned slightly under the mask and shifted it to where it covered the scar but she could still see perfectly clear. She loosened her grip on his jaw and stepped back.

When he made a 'woof' sound she tried so hard to keep herself under control and not lunge at him. She let out a small laugh but was quickly recovered into her normal cold posture and attitude.

She took a deep breath and pulled out her bow, it looked like it was aimed at Emery as she drew a arrow. She quickly turned and sent it flying into one of the dummies. The impact of the arrow sent a sickening thud into where the supposed heart would be.

She looked at her empty quiver before another arrow appeared and she shot it into the same dummy. It split the arrow before it in a clean half. She had a grin on her face and turned to look back at Emery. "As you already appear dead I cant kill you first but I will kill you again. And do it exactly like that." She said and gestured to the dummy.

"Now all threats aside. What do you want from me or Fae." She said and crossed her arms.

“No I’m sorry-“ Again, they were both apologising to each other at the same time. Grayson rubbed his hands over his warm face to try and diffuse himself. He was nervous, and a nervous Grayson was never good. He was doing his best to try keep it subtle, before any items started flying around.

“I uh-“ He winced. He was not someone that said uh. “I finished my book.” He took the novel from under his arm, holding it out for Amethyst to take. “You can read it now.” He said with a flustered nod.

Grayson swallowed dryly and looked to the side with a frown. This was abnormal. He was not used to whatever this was. The male was not breathing properly, labouring it in attempt to keep his heartbeat and panic down. But instead, he felt lightheaded trying to control it all, perhaps even unwell.

It wasn’t like Grayson had to worry about that for too long, since within a few seconds he fainted and collapsed on the grass.

Emery: Interacting with Cello. Cello. Artemis
Emery had to really control himself from saying she was flirting with him for a second time, or any comments related to dogs.

Especially when the female withdrew her bow and seemed to be pointing it at him. Again. He was unfazed by the threat, but arrows were pointy and he’d prefer they not get into his flesh. He moved his head to the side, his lazy attempt at getting out of the line of fire. But it wouldn’t affect much, since Hunter turned the bow and shot twice at a nearby dummy instead. Emery liked her archery, doing a few little claps at the entertainment. At her threat, he smiled at her.

“It’s a date th-“ He stopped himself, clicked the pen and rethought that sentence. He was missing out on all these great jabs just because Miss Grabby wanted to tear his throat out “Smart cookie.” He complimented instead when Artemis assumed he was already dead.

Emery thought for a moment. He had originally came in here because of the smell of blood. He had eaten recently so luckily he managed to keep it pretty lowkey, but he was always hungry in some way. He was slightly nervous how he was meant to get food (specifically fresh raw meat) unless he went hunting himself.

“Who said I want anything?” Emery asked slyly, cocking his head in curiosity with his usual smile. But a plan was slowly brewing. “Maybe I just really like your company.” Whether he was being sarcastic or not he kept well hidden, he had to play it smart to avoid her hand at his neck again.

Emery hopped off the desk and over to the dummy she had shot at, pulling out the second arrow and glancing to her. “Can I keep this?” He spun the arrow in his hand, feeling along the pointed tip with the other while looking at Hunter in thought.

“How about a deal?” Emery’s smile turned slightly malevolent, he was smiling with his teeth. “I think you’d like to hear it, especially when it concerns Fae.”

She smiled softly when they both apologized at the same time. She could tell he was just as nervous as her but why were they both nervous?

She reached out to the book and took it in her hands lightly, tucking it to her side. "Thanks!" She said quietly. She folded her wings closer to her body and she tugged at her black top. As she was about to say something she noticed Graysons breathing became labored.

Her eyes went wide as she watched him, her mind sent into panic mode. She scolded herself and told herself to stay calm that wouldnt help if she didnt. She watched him start to fall and she slid across the grass just in time to catch his head. That would have been a painful and nasty blow if it did hit.

She carefully sat his head down on the grass and signed a small symbol in the air. She held her hand over his chest and the other over his head. Light bounced from her hands and radiated in waves around Grayson.

She didnt know what much she could do to heal fainting but she could try. She closed her eyes and focused more on the light waves and she could feel the black creeping up her veins but didnt stop to look.

She went stiff and she tucked her bow away. "I know people better than that. You are easy to read much like a kindergarten book." She snarled and stepped closer to him. When he said he liked his company she knew he was lying. No one liked her company besides Fae and thats just because appearances mean to much to people.

"Oh yea I bet you wouldnt if you ever saw my god damn face." She said and withdrew her blade, throwing it in the air and catching it. She looked at the arrow and rolled her eyes but nodded.

The mix of wood and obsidian of her blade gleamed and she only stopped when he mentioned a deal. She cocked her head and stalked closer to him. "Oh yea what deal?" She asked coldly. She tried not to show interest in it because she knew if it concerned Fae it was not a good thing.

"You leave my god damn friend out of whatever sick plan you are thinking of bitch." She responded coolly. She crossed her arms across her blood red shirt. her pale white mask had red stripes across it almost resembling blood.

He blinked a few times, staring up at the figure of Amethyst. For a few seconds he was confused as to what or why he was there. Had he fallen asleep on the ground?

But when he did come to realisation his eyes widened a fraction. He sat up sharply. Too sharply, only managing to headbutt Amethyst which sent him back onto onto the grass with a hiss of pain. He mumbled another pained ‘Sorry’, gripping his head in discomfort. The fainting or whatever magic Amethyst had done had helped, his breathing had reset and he was seemingly okay, just embarrassed. Really embarrassed. Fainting was one thing, hitting heads was another. It made him look clumsy, not proper and proud.

Grayson wanted to just lay on the grass and and disappear into it. He mumbled a quiet “Thanks,” to the female as he sat up, being careful not to collide skulls again.

“How’d you get it?” Emery asked, “The scar,” he clarified what he was inquiring about. The male then tutted, waving his hand dismissively at Hunters pessimism about her physical appearance.

“You care about Fae,” A very easy observation on his part. “And so do I-“ He held up his hands defensively before Hunter could end his life,,“-In a nice wholesome gentleman way.” He added carefully, eyeing the female cautiously.

“What is going to happen when she finds love?” Emery popped the question quite bluntly, watching Hunter. When saying the word love his tone changed, turning colder as if disgusted by it.

“You will be left behind. You won’t have anyone. They’re not going to want you as a part of their relationship, are they?” Emery smiled slyly to himself, setting his new arrow on the top of the desk with a little clink. “You’ll be alone.” He stared out the window for a long moment, letting his words linger and settle.

“Love is cruel and unforgiving, I’m sure you agree.” Emery couldn’t imagine Hunter being a hopeless romantic, so he figured the pessimistic female would relate to it. He sure did. “Are you sure you’d want Fae mixed up in something like that? Waiting for the inevitable to happen? You’re not going to do something to protect her from heartbreak? You’ll just be discarded and forgotten, happens all the time.” He turned to face Hunter, now getting to the actual point of the deal.

“I propose you let me and Fae spend time together. That’s all you have to do. I can do the rest and she’ll never know about your involvement.” By the rest, he was implying getting close to Fae and then hurting her feelings. “It will deter her from any aspirations of love in the future.” He was smiling again, “It seems harsh, but it will help both of you in the long-term. What do you say?”

She let the light fade and looked at Grayson when suddenly he sat up fast. Her head hit his and she let out a small hiss of pain. She quickly shook it off and looked at him. 'Are you alright?" She asked and ignored the fact how close they just were.

Her hands cupped his face and she peered closer at him to make sure he was alright. She quickly scooted back when he sat up again. She nodded quickly when he said thanks. "Always." She mumbled and looked down at the ground.

She flicked her wings before standing up, she offered a hand to Grayson to help him up. She was looking at the ground and she felt her face heat up.

When he asked about the scar she let out a bitter laugh. "Which fucking one." She said coldly and stretched her arms in the air. She didnt seem to worried about the deal until he started talking.

She let out a little growl when he mentioned he cared for her. He knew her for less than five minutes, he had to right to claim he cared for Fae. She took amusement how he used the word 'love' when talking about Fae. "Sadly that girl cant love." She answered just as bluntly.

When he started talking about how love worked she snarled. Memories of the woods and boy after boy breaking her heart flashed in her mind and she quickly fought them off. "And where love is cruel and un-forgiving you have no fucking idea." She said and her hand was at her mask. She was furious when he was asking to hurt Fae. Even if the girl couldnt feel she wouldnt let this jack-ass close to her.

She let out a long and bitter laugh. "I say no. That girl has and never will be inlove. She was cursed from damn birth and she knows the dangers of it. Hell she causes the dangers of love herself." She replied, betting he wasnt expecting that answer. When she said 'Causing the dangers of love herself' she was referring to her being a Siren.

"And it being long term for me? Oh ive had my god damn fair share." She said and stalked closer to him until her face was right by his. Her hand was at at the top of her mask and she loosened it. She let it fall to her chest and grinned at him.

Scars ran across her entire face but the mainly noticeable ones where the one from the eyebrow to the bottom of her right eye. The one from her jaw to her nose. One from her cheek bone to her lips. One that ran across her lips and another that was from her ear to her chin.

"Not so curious about the god damn scar anymore are you but more of how unforgiving love is?" She asked and raised a eyebrow. She had a hard glare in her eye and was standing stiffly. Normally she wouldnt show her scars as she was ashamed of them but she was furious.

When Amethyst was cupping his face and inspecting him he laid idle, feeling the same warmth from earlier beginning to creep on him. He clenched his jaw and managed to act normal about it.

Grayson accepted her help and put his hand in hers, but instead of getting to his feet he gazed up at her in silence. Then, slowly, turned her hand over to look at the veins in her wrist. He frowned at them, then back up at her.

"You don't have to help everyone." He told her, more of a scolding than actual advice before he got to his feet. He nervously slipped his hand out of hers and brushed himself down, "I am fine." It appeared he had managed to regain his usual demeanour, but Grayson still felt like a mess inside. The entire situation was embarrassing. He had never fainted before. Occasionally he'd stand up too quick and see stars, but never had his breathing and over-control caused him to collapse.

"Are you okay?" He asked motioning to her head, having remembered he had headbutted her by accident. Thinking about it made him internally cringe.

When she mentioned he had no idea how cruel love was, Emery only smiled. He kept silent.

The male watched her stalk right up to him and take her mask off, his gaze moving over what had been hidden behind it. He wasn't disgusted, he had eaten things that looked worse than that. Excluding the scarring, it was strange seeing what she looked like. The female felt more human now that he could see a face. A feminine face.

"You know," He raised his hand and gently tilted her face to the side with a finger, eyeing the scars along the side of her face. "I think they suit you." He didn't think Hunter would appreciate his physical contact too much so he chose not to push it, recoiling his hand back to his side.

"If you wear the mask to hide them, you shouldn't bother. They're not ugly." It was a strangely nice thing of Emery to say and he noticed that, which quickly prompted him to add "But you can't hide an ugly personality." with a smile and ruin it. A truly backhanded compliment. It seemed the male did not enjoy saying nice things, or being liked in general.

Emery shrugged with a sigh. What he had learned about Fae was disappointing, only since he wouldn't be able to play around and watch emotions unfold. But he was sure he could find others at the school to mess with. "Lucky her." He responded hearing the female was cursed to never fall in love. He picked up the arrow from the table that Hunter had been nice enough to let him keep, and sat down on the desk, looking and waiting expectantly for Hunter to tell him more about her unforgiving experience with love.

"Please enlighten me." He encouraged with his sly smile and held his arms out dramatically, "I will be a most gracious audience."

She smiled slightly a she was about to help him up when he overturned her hand. She shied away slightly. "I know but I was helping you. That was important." She said and felt her cheeks warm.

She quickly nodded when he said he was ok. She tucked her hands to her camo pants and they gripped the insides. "Im fine." She said quickly, a little to quick.

She cleared her throat and rolled onto the tips of her feet. "I-I mean im fine." She said retrying not to answer to quick. She bent down and picked up the book that Grayson was letting her borrow and brushed some of the dirt off it.

She apologized mentally to the book after she dropped it in a haste to help Grayson. She glanced up at Grayson and studied his face and smiled. For what reason she was smiling she wasnt sure.

When he titled her face it took everything in her willpower not to slap him or hurt him. She kept a careful frown on her face and paid no attention to his compliment.

She only smirked when he said she had a ugly personality. "People put on a show for what you want them to see." She replied and tapped his cheek with her hand. She watched his reactions carefully to that of Fae. When he called her lucky a smile twisted up on her face as she replaced the mask back on, she had a idea.

She thought it over for a second before stalking up closer to Emery as he sat on the desk. When he was asking for an answer to her question, the memories flooded her again but she refused to let them affect her.

She shook her head and a sly smile appeared on her scared face. "I have a deal. One youll be interested in as you like to play people." She said and slammed her hands on either side of him on the desk. She leaned in slightly and her eyes gleamed behind the white mask. "One you might want to hear." She added.

"Me fainting is not important." Grayson scoffed quietly, embarrassed to bring it up. "You should save it for people that get stabbed or something.." He was reminded of Jason from earlier, laid out on the table in the cafeteria and his jaw tensed, glancing away for a moment. He didn't want to think about him, or remind Amethyst about it.

Grayson noticed her struggling to reply after he asked if she was okay. He stared at her with a dull expression through her attempts, before it broke into a faint smile, somewhat amused. They were now both just smiling at each other

"You're odd." He commented, the same thing he had told her earlier. To him, she was odd. Standing in front of him covered in dirt and grass, screaming at a cat, and kissing tree branches only amounted to part of it.

Emery smiled back as she slammed her hands on either side of him, his intrigue immediately sparking at this sudden change in Hunter. She hadn't strangled him for probably a record time. He was disappointed she wasn't going to tell him what he asked, but that was quickly forgotten. He was paying attention to this 'deal' she was wanting to propose to him.

"I'm listening." Emery answered, tilting his head up slightly to look down on the female. Because she had leaned in they were rather close, but Emery wasn't bothered by lack of personal space. In fact he revelled in it, blue eyes glued to Hunter. "What do you have in mind?"

She shook her head violently almost stumbling into Grayson. She quickly backed up again and sat in the grass. "Fainting is just as important. Your lucky you didnt get a concussion." She said and pointed to a sharp looking rock near his feet. She smiled up at him when he called her odd.

"I will take that as a compliment. But you are super odd. You dont find cats scary." She laughed and covered her face as she did. She flared her wings out and stumbled a couple steps before righting herself again. She coughed into her hand and quickly wiped it away, glancing at her veins to make sure it wasnt due to that.

She smiled at a thought that came to mind. "What were you doing earlier. In the cafeteria?" She asked more aimed at what he was studying.

She stood back up stright, her green eyes still glimmering. "You wanted to play someone. Thats easy to see. I want you to try to make me fall for you and vise versa." She smirked under her mask. Normally this wasnt her style of deals but she found that this one would be fun.

She enjoyed hurting people and so did he, easy enough challenge except for the fact that he seemed almost impossible to fall for and she was even worse when it came to this. "What do you say? Should be easy enough kitty boy~" She laughed and referred to his earlier form when he slipped in.

She put her hand on her hip and twisted the blade in her hands almsot as in a nervous gesture but she was anything but nervous.

Grayson glanced down to the rock, nudging it with his shoe.

“Cats are nice.” He mumbled defensively, then noticed her slight stumble and watched her correct herself. Her frowned, slightly confused but brushed over it.

She then coughed.

“I was..” He paused in his reply to the female, trailing off and becoming distracted.

“Amethyst are you alright?” She wasn’t acting alright.

He stepped over to her and rested his hand on the side of her face, then moved it against her forehead to check for a temperature. Grayson was frowning, a little concerned.

“Have you eaten today?”

Emery snorted at the proposition, thinking she was joking. “You’re funny. What’s the actual deal?” But seeing she was serious his amusement faltered. He was going to say no, he had no interest in a vice versa situation. He didn’t want Hunter trying to get him to fall in love with her.

But hearing her refer to him as Kitty-Boy he smiled, deciding it would be okay. He had the romantic interest of a teaspoon and he liked wasting time. She was not going to win.

“Alright,” He stood up, extending a hand for a handshake to settle it. “But you are going to lose.”
