Shota visibly frowned as she began to place random items into his basket. He peered into his basket to see a few vegetables and fruits, what was she playing at here? He listened to her explanations as he looked over each item...hearing her comment about his quirk, Shota lifted an eyebrow at this. So she knows of his quirk, which isn't that big of a surprise, but still...for her to actually put his eye condition into mind while picking out the items was a bit...abnormal. He never really encountered anyone this considerate before so it was a bit baffling for the dark-haired pro hero.

Despite her thoughtfulness, a small sigh escaped his lips as he merely responded back, "yeah yeah...I'll cook something...edible." He wasn't that lazy, but at times he's just so tired that he rather not even cook. Just boiling the water for the instant ramens were a hassle at times! Of course, he wouldn't go telling Uede this as he could already sense that she was quite the one to nag. He looked off to the side, refraining from just making her cook for him. If she was giving him these items, then she might as well make it for him.

Shaking aside such thoughts, Shota slowly made his way around the grocery aisles, letting his eyes drawl around lazily for anything else to eat. Hearing her answer, Shota couldn't help but wonder if she was upset...well scratch that. His dark orbs glanced down to look into Uede's eyes, noticing the slight change in her tone of voice. Yeah, she's probably upset. He wasn't the kindest with his way of speaking nor did he sugar coat anything. Shota simply raised a hand and ruffled Uede's hair as he smirked lightly down at her, "I know that much Uede, I've seen you fight...it's just strange to not see you with Kurotsuki."

A little spark here and there, it wasn't bad for a student to have. It let Shota know that she had what it takes to grow and a hero she will become. He knew she had potential and was glad she won't go down in the dumps just with a few words that may have come off a bit too harsh. He looked about the store before letting out a sigh, shopping was such a drag at times...but...looking over at the pouting Uede, Shota shook his head, he might as well stay around for this. Holding out his basket, Shota nudged it towards Uede as he simply stared down at her while saying, "you might as well pick the food out for me." He didn't mean it in a bad way, he just wasn't really in the mood to shop, but he knew he needed to buy food.

He smirked lightly at her as he said, "you seem like you're good at this sort of stuff." He was teasing her of course, but hey who said he can't crack a joke or two?

Ruka stared out into the park as she listened to his opinions about Persephone. Hmm..." coveted huh..." she murmured aloud softly as her eyes never left staring out into the pond. Perhaps he was right...Persephone was able to treasure her time on Earth more due to the misery she spent half the year in the underworld, but was she really unhappy there? He was right in saying that everyone had their own opinions though a wry smile came upon her lips as he mentioned how there was no way Persephone can outright fall in love with Hades. Perhaps she just wasn't able to love her own self...her own abilities.

Ruka perceived herself as Persephone in a sense, yet hearing those words from another was a bit...painful in a sense. Perhaps it just allowed Ruka to see how things really are...to know that her way of thinking wasn't wrong. She glanced over at Todoroki as he mentioned his hobbies. He didn't get to indulge in them during his childhood much...? The way he said it made it sound like his childhood wasn't pleasant. Well, to everyone their own she supposed. Ruka didn't exactly have such a great childhood, especially after awakening her quirk, but everyone was different. She tilted her head to the side as she didn't expect him to like poetry though a small smile was found on her lips. It was unexpected, but not a bad thing.

She blinked a few times as he directed a question her way. Did she like any poems or epics? She looked up thoughtfully as she watched the petals fly from the cherry blossom tree above them as she finally spoke up, "I do quite like poetry and epics. I love all sorts of writing styles." She smiled over at him as she continued, "I think every writing style is unique and allows us to see into the writer's heart. But...I'm not very good at writing poetry myself aha." She rubbed the back of her head sheepishly. She has tried before and it never really ended well.

Looking ahead, Ruka couldn't help but wonder aloud, "what is your favorite poem Todoroki-san?" She was curious to know what and how he perceived poetry. Perhaps he has his own favorite, for what reason? Well, she wouldn't know until she asked. She glanced over at Todoroki as she grinned, "I'm glad to have met another avid reader, finally someone can listen to me rant while knowing what I'm talking about." She always ranted about her favorite stories to Mela, but she knew Mela wasn't as big of a fan of mythology and such as Ruka was. Speaking of Mela...Ruka can only hope she made it home alright. She hoped no one was bugging her or anything, a sudden image of Aizawa-sensei popping into mind.

Without even thinking, she slapped his hand away from her head. In an hour she would likely regret doing that since a part of her had enjoyed his touch, even if he was mocking her this time around. "Hey, I don't have to to be with my friend all the time." She huffed, raising her voice steadily. "That's why we're best friends, we can be friends together or apart. I don't to be supervised." She growled as she was tempted to throw her basket at his head. She had forgotten how blunt and cruel he could be but she had a feeling he was saying these things just to get a rise out of her. Well mission accomplished.

What a smug, sexy bastard. Mela gritted her teeth when he held ut the basket to her. What? So now he expected her to just do the shopping for him? She advises him and he decides to take advantage of her? She grabbed it out of his hands. He was asking for an arrow in his ass, or maybe twenty. "Oooh I'd be happy to help." She said, voice dripping with sarcasm as she stormed off to get some other things. As if she was his damn mother, ha! She grabbed a few candy bars and bags of chips as well as some prepacked sandwiches as well as some cans of beer, doubling back to Aizawa rather quickly and held it out to him with a slightly wicked smile on her face.

"I know someone of your age must have a hard time moving around and seeing things, Aizawa-sensei." She teased him right back. If anyone was going to learn a lesson it was not to poke Mela Uede and expect her to just roll over and take it. By this point she wasn't that upset anymore, back to being pretty amused by the whole situation. It was absurd. Aizawa was absurd. She waltzed back to the counter and paid for her things. Even though she came from a hefty pile of money, Mela had worked for her own money in her pocket, having done odd jobs like teaching archery or cleaning homes since she was 13 years old, eager to make her own funds so she could properly treat her friends and family with her own hard earned yen.

"I'll also cover his tab." She said, feeling generous but also knew she could hold this over his head in the future. How could he grade her harshly when she made sure he didn't starve to death? How on earth Aizawa survived this long was unknown to her. How could such a pro be so useless? She was half tempted to call him ojiisan out loud but didn't have the guts. Maybe if he ticked her off another time which was possible. Once she paid for their things, she headed outside as the sun was fading away, casting orange and purple shadows across the skyscrapers. "You could walk me home after saying such mean things to me." She whined lightly. Of course she wasn't really intending him to do so. He had his own things to tend to, like sleeping or yelling at innocent kitties. Mela was confident she would be fine getting home on her own, despite what everyone else seemed to think.

Had he known he had inadvertently caused Ruka pain or distress, he would have apologized profusely, not meaning to indirectly insult her or cause her grief. Though unaware of his slight blunder, Shoto's mind focused on other matters, stowing away the idea of Persephone for another point in time when he could best contemplate it and its relation to the person sitting beside him. Ruka mentioned how she enjoyed many writing styles which was a relief. Though there were some Shoto wasn't fond of but it was refreshing to hear someone such as Ruka could have an open mind when it came to writing.

"I don't think my eye for poetry is that seasoned however, I'd love to see your writing if you'd ever allow me the pleasure, Kurotsuki-san." He said. H too, felt she was a bit of a puzzle, difficult to really piece together. The more notes and pieces he could collect, the better he could understand her. Ruka then asked about his own favorite poem. In truth the answer to her question changed just as frequently as the time of day. He closed his eyes, considering her answer, giving it great care.

"Oh, I'm quite glad to have someone to discuss this matters with as well." He opened his eyes, looking to her once again. " I suppose Uede-san doesn't care much for these things?" He could imagine her eyes just glazing over as Kurotsuki spoke about Greek and Roman myths. "Though returning to your question, my favorite poem is hard to pin down exactly. I am sure you can understand that it changes depending on my own mood and other dynamic factors." Shoto breathed in as he thought back to one he always had a fondness for. "What on the other shore, tugs at its heart so? In the evening dusk, over the Mogami river, a lone firefly."

"I think what resonates with me is the ability to capture a vivid image in such a short amount of space. It's not an easy task." He said to her, knowing she understood how difficult poetry could be."Saitou-san was more of an intellect but still had talent with something creative which I find rather fascinating." He explained to her. He stood up as the sun finally fell across the concrete horizon. "As much as I am enjoying our conversation Kurotsuki-san, I believe I see our classmates heading this way." He frowned, having been enjoying the alone time spent with the pink haired scholar. Across the street, Eijiro and Denki were heading their way, waving and calling out to them between the passing of cars.

Denki dashed across the street and caught up to the pair. "Hey!" He looked between them. "I guess it's too late to grab curry, a lot of us are heading back to the dorms for the night, gotta grab dinner at the cafeteria before it closes." Denki frowned, feeling like he had let Ruka down by being kidnapped and then not getting to spend more time with her. Ejiro pocketed his hands. "Yeah we gotta catch our bus soon, the others went on ahead." Eijiro added, having been texting with the others while he and Denki were hunting down Ruke and Shoto. Rubbing his head, Denki sighed, still disappointed with how his plan seemed to fall apart. Damn Todoroki. "Sorry about having to bail on you." Denki told Ruka. "But curry next time yeah?" He grinned to her, giving her a thumbs up. "You're not getting out that easy." He joked. Shoto had half a mind to tell Denki to stop harassing the poor girl but decided to keep to himself.

"See you tomorrow at school, Kurotsuki-san, it's been a pleasure." Shoto said, placing a hand on her shoulder before he excused himself, needing to get home before his father noticed his extended absence.

Denki watched Shoto go before he looked back to Ruka, feeling oddly relieved. "So uh what did you guys end up talking about anyway?" Denki asked her, hoping he didn't sound too curious or concerned.

Shota's eyebrow rose as he looked down at the little growling brunette. Did she just slap his hand away and growl at him? He blinked a few times as he listened to her reply before she stormed off with his basket to who knows where. He let out a slight sigh while ruffling his hair, he actually was complimenting her skills from the assessment earlier today. Did it come off as something else? He decided to just wait where she left him and see what she would do. Would she actually come back with a basketful of food like he asked? Or did she use this chance to run away? Just as he was pondering on whether he scared off his student or not, Shota noticed the top of her brown hair heading towards his direction.

Turning just in time, Shota grabbed the basket she thrust towards him with a rather sweet smile...a bit too sweet of a smile. Something was up, as he peered into the basket, he blinked...once, then twice before looking over at Uede who was still smiling. Hearing her comment, Shota was soon smirking full on as he just grabbed the basket and followed Uede to the cashier. This girl..."heh" Shota murmured to himself in amusement. No one has had this much of a spunk when speaking to him. He'll be quite honest, it's rather refreshing and well new. Something tells him that he's going to have fun poking fun at this one for quite some time.

"You're right Uede, my age is certainly getting to me these days..." or more like lack of sleep. He's been busy being a pro-hero during the night and then working as a teacher at U.A. during the day. Honestly, he rarely had days off thanks to all his jobs. Even so, Shota wouldn't change his mind nor regret his choices. Sure he may not seem like the most valiant hero around, but he still chose this profession for a reason. He has his own reasons for becoming a hero and one that will always remind him and keep him moving forward. As he was moving to grab his wallet...Uede did the strangest thing ever.

Shota watched in silent surprise as Uede paid for his items as well. The cashier even looked surprised as the young worker looked back and forth between Uede and Shota. Shota silenced the worker with a single glare of his before he took the bag and followed Uede out the store. Strange girl indeed. Well...to be fair, she did end up shoving quite the large amount of junk food into his basket, but he will be sure to get her back for this. A small smirk tugged at his lips as he found her to be odd yet intriguing.

As he looked up at the darkening sky, Shota was just about to ask Uede how she is going to get home when she asked him to walk her home. He blinked a few times. Did she just call him mean? But he was just being honest? Knowing there wasn't really a way to win a verbal argument with a woman, Shota let out a sigh before turning towards Uede. Taking the bags from her, Shota stared down at her as he simply said, "where is your place? Come on, I'll walk you home." He didn't see a problem walking her home, plus she sort of did pay for his food and now he feels like he owes her...something he doesn't like the feeling of. After walking Uede home, Shota went straight to his home. He was rather tired now that he thought of it.

Just as he was about to head into his home, he spotted a small brown kitten sitting on the wall just by his house. Green orbs stared into his dark pair as the two stared for a few long moments before Shota shuffled into his grocery bag, hoping Uede got him something that wasn't junk. Fortunately, he found a tuna can and so opening it up, he placed it in front of the kitten. Patting it's tiny head gently, Shota smiled down at the kitten as he murmured out, "eat up little one..." with that done, Shota walked into his home, more than ready for some sleep....and food he supposed. Letting out a sigh, Shota took a long shower before tying his hair up into a messy bun. He poked around the bags for something to eat and decided on instant ramen...though glancing into the bag he noticed there was still the carrots and other vegetables that Uede placed for him. He recalled her little advice and with a sigh, he began to chop the vegetables before popping them into the pot along with the ramen noodles. Why was he even doing what some student of his recommended? Though recalling how she thought of his health and his quirk in mind...a small smirk tugged at his lips. She was an interesting one that was for sure. A light chuckle could be heard from Shota's house as he opened a can of beer, "to think she'd get me beer too...how considerate heh."

After having cleaned up the storage facility, Yagi was now making his way downtown to buy some groceries on the way back. He did not expect to stumble upon a rare sight...a very strange one at that. Hiding behind a corner, ignoring the various strange stares he received, Yagi peered around to see if he actually saw things right. And right he was. Hiding behind the wall once more, Yagi's bright blue hues were wide in surprise as he could not believe his eyes. Maybe his sight was finally failing him!? Wanting to be extra sure that he saw things correctly, Yagi peered around the corner to see if Uede Shoujo and Aizawa-kun were still there or not...and to his relief they weren't there.

Letting out a small sigh, Yagi tilted his head as he wondered why he was even hiding to begin with....and why was he surprised? Well...it was a rather rare sight to see Aizawa-kun out and about in town though it was even more strange to see him with Uede Shoujo. Thinking it was just his imagination going crazy, Yagi walked into the grocery store only to be hiding behind a stack of toilet papers as he once again questioned his vision. Did he just see what he just saw!? Peering around once more, Yagi was positive he was seeing things correctly. Rubbing his eyes slightly, he realized that it really was Aizawa-kun and Uede Shoujo, what were they doing!? For some reason, Yagi couldn't help but follow the two around the store until he felt the sudden glare from Aizawa-kun. He was quick to run whenever Aizawa-kun gave out that stare. After the two left, Yagi was seen letting out a loud sigh while hugging onto a toilet paper. Realizing what he was even doing, Yagi quickly finished his shopping before heading home himself. It left Yagi quite confused and well...just very very confused.

Ruka rubbed the back of her head as she sheepishly answered him, "Mel and I are best friends, but that doesn't mean we need to like the same things to be friends...she has her own favorite past times and I have mine...hmm I guess it's like how she bakes while I cook?" She wasn't even sure if she made any sense. Ruka's eyes widened as she shook her head back and forth, "oh no, my poetry sucks! I...I don't think anyone should read it..." She looked off to the side as she mumbled the last part out. She was a bit too embarrassed about her own writing though perhaps...glancing over at Todoroki, Ruka couldn't help but be curious about how he wrote poetry. "Maybe if we exchange then I will be willing to share." She gave him a grin, that would be their deal. If he wrote a poem and shared with her, then she will share her own. Perhaps that will keep him at bay as she was sure any poet is at first unwilling to share their written works until gaining further confidence in their own writing...but then maybe Todoroki is actually good at writing poems!? Ruka hid the panic beneath the grin before taking in the little tanka poem he recited.

Closing her light blue orbs, Ruka listened to the poem before smiling over at Todoroki as she nodded her head, "yes! I can definitely imagine it just as you said those words...it's amazing how a few lines from a poem can create such a scene..." Ruka stared out across the park as she imagined the fireflies flying about. She blinked a few times as she snapped out of her daydreams when he mentioned the others. The others? Ruka turned her head to see the bright head of Kaminari and the bright red of Kirishima.

Just as Denki came to stand next to them, Ruka stood up. She looked past Denki and Eijiro to see that indeed the others were nowhere to be seen. She nodded her head understandingly as she looked up at the slowly dimming sky. It was getting late she supposed. Guess the fun must end at one point. She looked over at Denki and smiled as she nodded her head, "what are you apologizing for? There's nothing to be sorry for and of course we can get curry next time. I'm sure Mela would love to try curry out." Ruka smiled in thought as she was definitely going to bring Mela with her next time. She was sure Mela would enjoy some good curry too. Ruka gave Denki a thumbs up as well before she felt someone touch her shoulder.

Turning just in time, Ruka watched Todoroki walk past her as she nodded her head with a small smile on her lips, "yeah, it was nice talking to you too Todoroki-san. See you tomorrow." She watched Todoroki walk not towards the bus stop and so she assumed he didn't live in the dorms like the others in their class. "Hm?" Ruka turned her attention back to Denki, "oh we were just talking about our favorite myths and poems." She smiled happily as she recalled those moments. Or rather she was just more happy about the fact that she can ramble on about poetry and other written works without boring the other person. "Did you find anything good at the comic store Kaminari-san?" Ruka asked him as she smiled up at him.

Glancing at the darkening sky, Ruka turned to face Denki as she asked him, "Kaminari-san, don't you need to hurry back to the dorm? You'll miss out on dinner if you don't hurry now, won't you?" She'd feel quite bad if he missed dinner just because of her or something. Smiling she told him, "I'll be fine walking home on my own, I don't live too far from here so don't worry!" She can just GPS the way home, it shouldn't be far honestly. After talking with Kaminari for a few more moments, she watched Eijiro drag the blonde away to the bus before turning around to head home herself. As she walked through the streets, Ruka looked up at the night sky as she thought back to the many things that happened today, "so much happened today...I wonder how Mel is doing...I hope she got home by now..." Stopping by a bakery on her way back, Ruka bought a few donuts as she thought Mela would like it. Ruka walked up to her apartment door, peeking over at Mela's slightly before walking into her's. First a shower and then she'll give Mela a call and have dinner with her friend. There was a lot the two needed to catch up on after all.

After taking a quick shower, Ruka changed into an oversized t-shirt and some shorts underneath before giving Mela a call, "ah Mel? I'm coming over~" with a smile, Ruka was quickly over at her friend's house within seconds. The moment the door opened, Ruka jumped over to give her best friend a hug as she felt like she's been away from Mela for far too long, despite it only being half a day if that. "Ahhh Mel! I missed you!" Ruka let out uncharacteristically dramatic as she happily nuzzled against her friend's cheek before pulling back with a slight pout on her lips, "after all, somebody decided to just leave me alone and go off doing who knows what! Speaking of which...spill it." Ruka's demeanor changed back to her usual one as her blue eyes narrowed suspiciously over at Mela.

Taking a seat at the table, Ruka began to happily eat while telling Mela about where she went to in downtown, "mm so Kaminari-san, Todoroki-san and I went to the bookstore and then we were supposed to go eat curry, but Kaminari-san went to get comics. Oh speaking of which, next time we're all going to get curry. Mel, you're coming too, right?" At this Ruka gave her friend a pointed stare, as if daring her to refuse the outing to go eat curry with her. She then began to question Mela, "so what did you do anyway? I hope you weren't hanging around sensei or anything like that..." Ruka saw the look Mela had when they first met him and found out that Eraserhead was their teacher. Something about Aizawa-sensei got Ruka on edge...maybe it was just her imagination though.

"Oh and I got some new books, I got this really cute cooking book with some desserts in it...you'll make it for me, won't you Mel?" Ruka smiled over at her friend, eager to try out some of the strawberry recipes in the book...that was dedicated to strawberries. Taking another bite of the meal, Ruka remembered her donuts as she said, "oh right, I got us some donuts, you want some, right? I got your favorite~" Ruka grinned over at her friend. Ruka forgot to mention how she spent most of her afternoon just talking with Todoroki, it wasn't that important, right?

Mela expected the dark clad man to excuse himself with minimal phrasing and leave her alone but instead he actually took her up on her suggestion. She briefly panicked, not expected him to agree to such a thing. She quickly reminded herself how to get home as to not get them lost in the dark city as the lights began to flicker on around them. The streets were still filled with people of various ages and careers. Many salarymen were heading to the bar after a long day of crunching numbers while Mela noted a few groups of young school girls laughing as they crowded around one another, chatting about some sort of celebrity gossip. The city was alive even with the absence of light. They had to all believe no harm could come to them as long as the pros were watching.

The walk home was as quiet as she expected. Mela didn't dare strike up conversation, knowing she was just lucky to have Aizawa-sensei tag along with her as she directed them toward her apartment complex. It was about five minutes away. The city while sprawling with buildings and stray avenues, was fairly compact and their apartment was close to the bus that fed right to UA High School. So things they needed like shops and parks and train stations, were well within walking distance. From time to time, Mela would glance over to Aizawa, a million questions running through her little head.

Why did he become a hero? Why did he become a teacher? Did he really go to school with Present Mic and All Might? Where did he get that scarf of his and how did he control it? Had he ever encountered someone whose quirk he couldn't disable? Mela looked back ahead, the lights guiding them back home safely. Upon reaching the complex, Aizawa simply took his leave. "Thank you Aizawa-sensei!" She called out to him before she launched herself up the outside of the building, making her way up the three small stories to her apartment. Swinging up over the ledge, she sat on it and looked back to see Aizawa had blended in with the darkness or had already left. Either way, the brunette hopped down and unlocked her door. She knocked on Ruka's but got no answer but Mela had to hope she would be home soon or was in the shower or something.

Unpacking her bags, relieved hers and Aizawa's hadn't gotten mixed up as he so kindly carried them home for her, she went to work cooking. She cooked up some rice in the rice cooker and began to sear off small strips of chicken, seasoning them as she added in the vegetables she had bought and washed and cut. Now left alone with her thoughts, she had to wonder more about Yahi and if Aizawa might be able to tell her more about the sad little janitor man. A phone call snapped her from her musing as she picked it up. "O-okay, come on over!" She left her wok to answer the door a few moments later, Ruka falling into her arms. "Ahh, I missed you too, Rukie-chan!" She grinned, pulling Ruka inside, hugging her tightly as she kicked the door closed. All Mela could do was smile at Ruka's comment. She felt no guilt whatsoever for pushing Ruka to go out and live a little.

"Well...you go first. I gotta know what everyone was up to." She insisted, feeling bad she missed out on all the fun but Mela knew there'd be other outings for her to have fun on. Despite how happy Ruka sounded with Kaminari and Todorki, she found it a little unsettling to know her innocent Ruka was alone with two boys. Teenage boys! Mela knew exactly what they thought about. She pouted slightly as she grabbed herself a can of juice from her fridge, glaring slightly at the can as to not upset Ruka with her thoughts of interrogation. She thought Kaminari was pretty harmless, he probably couldn't hurt a fly but Todoroki...he was very hard to read and Mela had no idea what either young male was up to. She could only assume the worst. Perverts and scoundrels! "I'd love to grab some curry with everyone!" She exclaimed on cue, it would give her a chance to see how the two acted around Ruka.

"Ahh well I met an interesting guy at school and he's not married. In fact he looked kind of sad. But he was cute so I hope I can run into him again." Mela said as she sat down to join Ruka in eating now. The last guy she had been interested in had been married but hadn't told Mela until much later, much to her fury. It was the risk she took with liking older men, had to be careful of angry wives or creepy guys. "I then went shopping and came home." She quickly said, not sure if she wanted to say who she wound up going shopping with. Her gut told Mela that Ruka didn't need to know who it was. "All in all...a very uh boring day." She laughed as she dug into her rice. "Except for the whole finally attending UA with my best friend and meeting All Might and Eraserhead formally." She squealed, her face turning red. "Both so handsome and strong...I don't know how I'll be able to concentrate on my studies." She lamented.

But she stopped her own dramatics and nodded to Ruka. "Of course I will. I'd be happy to make you anything your desires." Mela teased her friend. "And donuts? Yaaay! I could never saw no to a donut, not even a poisoned one." She laughed. Ruka didn't even have to ask Mela that question. Though as she cleared their plates, she couldn't help but think Ruka was leaving out some important details. Then again so was Mela. The girl cleaned up and sat back down at the table with Ruka, kneeling in front of her as they enjoyed some donuts and tea together. "So you spent the day with Todoroki-san and Kaminari-san...those two don't seem close. I had to wonder how they got along." She pondered aloud, mostly looking to Ruka to fill in the blank. "I've also been curious...Kaminari-san seemed as though he knew you when you introduced yourself today. And he also was so eager to show you around. He must be an incredible flirt...I do hope you're not alone with him, who knows what sweaty moves he'd try to pull on you. He seems to have some ulterior motive don't you think?" Mela said, her tone serious and contemplative on purpose, knowing she if she painted Kaminari as such, it might provoke Ruka to tell her something to rebuff Mela's assessment.

An exchanging of poetry was a fair enough suggestion though it made Shoto all the more inclined to work on his own efforts before presenting them to Kurotsuki. While she downplayed her own talents on the subject, something told her, they would be insightful and rather poignant. Though his intention wasn't to get some information on the girl, he was genuinely curious about her and her perspective. She seemed to have a fondness for a goddess trapped in a less than idea situation. He was gathering a few clues as to who she was a person. Add to that a very flashy quirk and Shoto was sure there was more to Ruka than she wanted the world to believe.

His bus home was in the opposing direction. It didn't take long for the boy to be left standing in front of his home, a large home on the outskirts of the city. It was very traditional but it was hardly a place Shoto felt much warmth. He let himself inside and noted his father was gone, likely out patrolling the city. No note or anything but Shoto wouldn't have expected so much from his father. Wandering to the kitchen, he grabbed himself a plate of leftovers and sat down in front of the tv, the news keeping him company. He finished his meal and went back to his room, collecting what books he had on poetry, American, British, Chinese and of course Japanese. Shoto laid on his bed as he flipped through the pages, his mind wandering back to the afternoon spent with Ruka, wishing that inspiration had followed him home.

But now back home, all the boy felt was a coldness. After a few attempts to recapture how he had been feeling under the cherry trees, he gave up and did some school related reading though 3-A was lucky not to have much assigned to them their first day back. Though the teachers were likely to give them cruel amounts of work to simulate that of a real day as a hero, trying to juggle so many things. Right before he retired, he heard his father come back home, sounding tired and a bit angry. Shoto turned off his light and sat in bed, his mind traveling between the various topics of the day. Combat, ice cream, mythology, poetry, even cookies. Throwing an arm over his eyes, Shoto had to admit the arrival of two new students had shaken up 3-A's old dynamics and he was interested to see how the next year would turn out.

With Shoto gone, Denki felt a bit more at ease. Though he was dying to know what the two discussed. Sure, Ruka said just myths and stuff but he didn't think that could be it. What if Todoroki said something about Denki? He hoped that wasn't the case but at the same time, Shoto's sense of humor could be odd and Denki didn't want to be the butt of his joke. Maybe if he asked Todoroki nicely tomorrow, he'd get a straight answer? "Oh yeah, I found some old comics I've been meaning to get my hands on." They were of course hero-related. He packed them away but if Ruka really wanted to see them, he didn't mind her looking at them. But he'd rather find her a comic she'd like than the ones filled with senses violence and partial nudity. Eheh. "Maybe you can borrow them sometime. Well not these but some others!" He laughed nervously. If she was really going to lend him some books of hers, he would be happy to return the favor.

"Um yeah, I better go." He admitted, not feeling good about just ditching Ruka. Even though she said she'd be fine, he really wanted to insist upon seeing her home. It would be a hero's pleasure and a tour guide's mission right? But she seemed fine getting home so Denki hoped he'd have another chance to spend some extra time with her, impressed her with sweet fighting moves. "I'll see you tomorrow then, Kurotsuki-san. Thanks for coming out!" Denki smiled as he headed off to catch the bus. Once back at school, he met up with the others who were nearing the end of their meal. It seemed Denki barely made it in time. If he had taken any longer he would have had to resort to going to Lawsons and getting a sandwich or chips. That was hardly a meal befitting a growing boy.

Denki was quick to eat with his friends as they all discussed the new girls. It would probably be a speculative topic for a few days before they all adjusted to their new classmates. Denki voiced how impressed he was with Ruka and how tough she'd be to beat in the sport's festival. He hoped he could have a chance to go up against her and test his own strength. While everyone was pretty friendly, there was still an underlying need to prove their own strength. Every day they were reminded that there was someone better, someone stronger, someone quicker than them. Though most rivalries in class were more friendly, aside from perhaps Bakugo's issues with Midoriya. Denki and his friends headed back to their dorms, all ready to study or game for a bit. Eijiro followed Denki along as the blond headed into his dorm, it dark, save for a lightning bolt nightlight his mother gave him when it was 4.

A low meow could be heard as the boys headed into Denki's room. "Dude, you're gonna get expelled for having a pet." Eijiro muttered as Denki turned on his bedside table light and saw his orange tabby sleeping on the messy bed. "It'll be fine as no one blabs about it." Denki gave his friend a look before he pulled out some bits of salmon he kept hid in his pocket. "Eww you're gonna smell like salmon all week." Eijiro groaned. Denki ignored him as he pulled off his blazer and set it on his desk chair before he went back to feeding Peachy. Eijiro shook his head and saw himself out. Meanwhile Denki enjoyed petting his new roommate as he flipped through the comics he had just purchased. In the back of his mind, he couldn't be detect a nagging pang of something the more he thought about Kurotsuki and Todoroki. It wasn't like the half-ice/half-fire guy to spend so much time with one student. And most of the girls who approached him were turned away. Denki knew it was good for Ruka to find someone to talk about books and stuff with but he didn't see why it had to be Todoroki. Maybe Denki could be that person for Ruka instead?

A rather loud slurping sound could be heard coming from a small apartment as Shota stared down at the papers scattered about on his messy table. He sat on the floor in his living room as he read over the progress charts of each of his students. He was given charts on Uede and Kurotsuki from their previous school as such records were quite important for the staff at U.A. If they wished to help Uede and Kurotsuki become pro heroes than U.A. will definitely need any and all information on them. As Shota's dark hues scanned the contents of each girl's charts, he was rather surprised at the difference.

While Uede showed great agility and sharp aim from afar, Kurotsuki's showed a higher offensive damage in her chart. He shook his head lightly as he recalled Uede's little spitfire show earlier. He was positive that girl had more to her than meets the eye. Chuckling slightly to himself, Shota took another bite of the now healthy looking ramen bowl as he looked over the charts. Now then, what can he do to bring out more from each student? A loud sigh escaped his lips as he gave up thinking for now. Something good will come to him sooner or later. As he finished off the rest of his meal, Shota looked back at the bag of groceries on his kitchen counter. He smirked slightly as he shook his head, now what was he going to do with all those junk food...?

Glancing at the clock, Shota stood up as he deemed it was time for him to get some work done. Standing up, he left his apartment in the middle of the night as he went to go do some saving. Night time was when Eraserhead shined the most after all. He held back a yawn as he could already foresee a long night ahead of him...then another long day for him tomorrow as well. Meanwhile, in another apartment, a distressed sigh left Yagi's lips as he couldn't shake the image of Uede Shoujo and Aizawa-kun out of his mind. What were the two doing and why!? He couldn't help but fret over it and honestly, it confused Yagi quite a lot. Shaking his head, All Might's deep voice could be heard as he began to fervently do push up's and sit-up's while yelling at himself, "snap yourself out of this stupor! What kind of hero are you!? Ahhhhhhhh!" and so Yagi regretted his foolish actions as he woke up the next morning.

~ The next morning ~

Yagi held back a groan as he slowly made his way into the teacher's office early morning. He was clad in a more subtle suit minus the jacket as he was just too darn tired to even wear it, "shit..." Yagi murmured to himself as he did it once again. The booming voice of Present Mic was not helping as Hizashi loudly proclaimed, "OHHHH if it isn't Toshinori!!!!!! What are you doing looking so tired from the morning! COME ON! The day is just starting!" Yagi can only weakly smile over at Yamada-kun until a hand chopped the back of Yamada's head, "shut it...you're way too loud for the morning.." Shota mumbled out as he sent a slight glare to the now pouting blonde. Aizawa glanced over at Yagi while lifting a brow, "did you over work yourself again? What a hero you are All Might..." a slight smirk tugged at his lips while Yagi can only rub the back of his head, "ahaha...good morning to you two...and yes, it seems like I have done it again...I uh will probably not be able to work today..."

Just then Principal Nezu came striding over as he lightly patted Yagi on the back, 'lightly' patted, "good morning All Might! I must say, you look quite pale! I think you should take it easy for the rest of this week! Oh I know! You're still not done with the storage unit right? Well please make it brand new for us all and then there are a few more things we need help in, oh but that suit will get dirty...it's a good thing I asked Midnight to get these for you!" With that, Nezu handed a wrapped package to All Might before walking off, leaving the three pro-heroes confused in the little mouse's wake. What just happened?

All eyes turned to look at the package in All Might's hand as Yagi slowly opened it...to reveal a yellow jumpsuit...almost resembling that of a janitor's. Hizashi turned around with his shoulders shaking, an obvious sign of holding back his laughter while Shota smirked widely up at Yagi while patting the taller blonde's shoulder while leaving to get to class, "good luck cleaning." Shota called out to All Might while Yagi's shoulders drooped slightly. The things he does for the sake of everyone.

- Few days later, Saturday -

Shota stood by the school bus as he began to check off who was here and who wasn't here yet. Today was a half day lecture for the U.A. students as they were now heading over to the USJ for a little test. Though of course Shota did not tell the class what today's lecture will be about and only mentioned how they will be going to one of U.A's facitilies for today's class. Once sure that everyone has arrived, Shota ushered them into the bus before taking a seat, not really caring who sat next to him or not.

As they arrived at the USJ, Shota knew this place was quite a memorable place for most of his students, minus the two new transfers and so he explained casually, "now instead of reminiscing about the past, let's focus on today's class...and for today we will be having a test." A devious smirk danced across his lips as he continued to explain, "now what we will be having you guys do today is simple, a rescue mission. You'll be placed into pairs that I have already made and you'll be placed into the different areas within USJ where you will work as a team to rescue the dummies placed in each area. There will be bots and other obstacles in your way so be careful and most of all use your quirk to save, not to destroy. Now I'm going to list off the pairs..." as he came near the end of the list, Shota said, "Kurotsuki and Kaminari, you two will be placed in the earthquake zone while Uede, you're the odd one out so you'll be on a team with me. We'll be heading into the city center are. I have a few other helpers today, they won't be telling you where they are or who they are, but they will be assessing you today. Now let's get this over with."

In the city center, bright blonde hair could be seen sticking out as Yagi peered out and about nervously. Aizawa-kun asked him to just hide and assess, but will he really be okay? What if he gets spotted by a student? What if they find out!?

Ruka's eyes narrowed slightly as she listened to Mela's story of the day. She met another older male? Ruka was a bit worried due to a past incident with Mela and an older guy, but she won't stop her friend as long as it made Mela happy. Even then Ruka couldn't help but worry slighltly. She lifted a brow up in question as Mela mentioned some guy, "so let me get this straight...you have three crushes right now?" Ruka teased out lightly, but at the same time wanted to confirm so she can narrow down her list of targets ehem guys to keep an eye on. She can talk with each person later...alone...with her flames ehem!

She brought her attention onto Mela just in time to catch something off with how Mela listed things off. Ruka was a bit suspicious that her friend had more to say, but she knew Mela would tell her if anything did happen and so Ruka brushed it off as nothing. As Ruka brought out the donuts, she sat besides Mela as she listened to Mela's thoughts on their fellow classmates. She blinked a few times...that was very true. She couldn't quite imagine Kaminari and Todoroki getting along, the two seemed like quite the polar opposites...but well, "hehe I wonder as well, but hey we get along pretty well don't we?" Ruka smiled over at Mela, she knew her and Mela were quite different in how they view things, but the two were still very good friends, something that Ruka always appreciates.

As she was sipping her tea, Ruka nearly spit the contents out of her mouth when Mela called Kaminari a pervert. She blinked widely in surprise over at Mela, as she never for one thought of Kaminari as a perverted person. She frowned slightly as she did not want Mela to have such a negative view on Kaminari. "No you're wrong Mel, Kaminari-san isn't a pervert..." or so she thinks. Honestly, she wasn't hundred percent sure, but he didn't seem like so to her at the least! "Ah and the only reason he went out to give me a tour is because that was Aizawa's orders or so he told me....but I think it's also because he was the one I saved a few days back? Remember I told you I saved some guy from being robbed? Well, it turned out to be Kaminari-san, quite a coincidence, don't you think?" Ruka grinned over at Mela. Waving her hand lightly, Ruka continued, "he would never hit on me, I mean I'm sure he'd go for like Momo-san instead, won't you agree? Oh right, speaking of Kaminari-san, he told me that he wanted to borrow to your notes sometimes. It seems like he needs help with some subjects in class, you can help him, right Mel? After all, your notes are the number one~" Ruka leaned against Mela's shoulders as the two chatted the night away.

- A few days later...Saturday~! -

A small yawn escaped Ruka's lips as she leaned sleepily against Mela's shoulder. The pinkette has resorted to burying her face into Mela's shoulder as her arms were wrapped around the brunette. She was sleepy, so very sleepy. Maybe staying up all night to finish reading her new book wasn't the best of ideas, but Ruka forgot that they had morning class on Saturday and now this was the result. As they waited outside the bus for all the students to arrive, Ruka was snuggled against Mela quite happily.

After getting on the bus and heading off to USJ, well Ruka had quite a nice nap on the ride there. When the class arrived, Ruka was blinking her sleepy eyes open and just in time for as soon as they stepped out of the bus, Aizawa-sensei was already explaining the activities in store for today. Ruka blinked her sleep away as she now looked surprised....and a sense of dread began to fill her up. A rescue mission!? She was definitely going to fail this...Ruka held back from visibly flinching when Aizawa-sensei reminded the class that today's exercise was not about destroying an object, but rescuing. Ruka felt like he was telling that to her directly, but he wasn't really. She glanced over at Mela before going over to Kaminari who happened to be her partner for today. She gave him a small smile as she spoke up, "ah good morning Kaminari-san...guess we're partners today huh...let's do our best, alright?" Though truth be told, Ruka was beyond nervous for this test.

Three guys? Possibly. Mela waved her hands, trying not to confirm Ruka's suspicions. "Be nice to them, Ruka." She whined. The last thing she needed was Ruka getting in the way of her romantic adventures. It was hard enough to make a guy see she wasn't some kid, but then she had to work around her protective best friend and stand-in mother figure. But on the flipside, Mela was determined to confront both Todoroki and Kaminari regarding her Ruka. Mela was going to make sure no one broke Ruka's heart or Mela would break their faces and love every second of it. When Ruka compared Shoto and Denki to herself and Mela, the brunette stayed silent before it dawned on her. "Heeeey, don't compare me to Kaminari-san!" She whined, realizing who was who in that situation. "I am way smarter and cuter than he is!" She insisted. Though Ruka and Shoto did share some similar traits, Mela had to consider. But her and Denki? No way.

"Huh so...you helped Kaminari-san?" It made sense as she put it together. Still she had to worry the boy now had some wild crush on Ruka. Oh no, that would no do. Sure, Kaminari seemed dumb but she had to make sure he knew what he was doing with Ruka. If he even knew. "I don't know Rukie-chan, if Denki has any brain cells left, he'd be all over you." Mela could not have that. Momo seemed great but Mela knew Ruka was quite the catch and any guy would be lucky to have her, provided Mela approved of them. At the idea of her giving Denki notes, she shook her head, refusing to help Denki. He could flunk on his own. Though if she gave the guy her notes then he wouldn't go to Momo for help, which from the sounds of it, was what he often did. Boys were strange.

The night was lovely as they chatted about their various classmates and excitement for things to come. In the back of her mind, Mela wondered if Aizawa really had anything that she bought for him. She hoped he would stop being so stubborn and accept some help. At the end of the week, Mela was expecting a simple half day where they studied but instead Aizawa had other, less relaxing plans. When the students gathered and boarded the school bus, Mela cozied up with Ruka, letting her rest as they traveled to the USJ. It seemed their costumes were still being mended and worked on so everyone had been allowed to wear casual clothes from home, as opposed to their uniforms. Mela had on a simple pair of blue jeans and a black tank top, over that a faded tan leather jacket, a pair of black shades on her face.

Mela rubbed Ruka's back lightly as Aizawa began to address the class of bored students, some may have been a tad hungover. Mela coughed when she heard she'd be paired up with Aizawa. Crap. She blushed and clenched her fists, already fired up to do better than him and shove her success in his handsome stupid face. Though she was worried for Ruka, knowing this wasn't going to be an easy task for her. "You'll be fine." She said quietly, touching her forehead against Ruka's before she got up and headed off the bus with everyone else. She gave Aizawa a slight look as she waited for him at the large facility's entrance. "I am gonna save way more people than you!" She declared to Aizawa, still hyped as she raised her arms in the air, already feeling triumphant.

As much as she wanted to tell him to stay out of her way, she assumed they'd have to work together. Which also meant she would get to see Aizawa work up close. There were undeniable butterflies in her stomach. She had to hope Denki and Ruka could work together but both were more offensive than suited for saving people but Mela believed Ruka would make it work. Ruka was pretty clever and could hopefully manage Denki. Glancing to Aizawa, she shoved her hands in her pockets, eyeing him. Somehow it didn't feel like she just so happened to be the one outlier. Why did she have him as a partner? Surely he would just sit back and let her handle it. It wasn't fair she had to go against Aizawa. But she had to tell herself to be cooperative and not competitive. "So I was just randomly assigned to you?" Mela asked him. "Or are you hoping to see my skills close up? I'm so flattered Aizawa-sensei. I hope you can keep up." She teased him.

After enjoying a night of comics with his feline companion, Denki called it a night. The next few days were uneventful. They didn't have another Heroics class and there was no sign of All Might for some reason. Most had to assume he was off saving the day and doing great things. Denki was a little bummed he couldn't show off his skills to Ruka. But the classes kept them all busy. They had lessons in math and various tactics when it came to taking down bad guys. They were even starting to read some Shakespeare play about some girl pretending to be a statue or something. Denki couldn't really follow it, despite Present Mic's vigorous dramatic reenactments.

The rest of the week allowed Denki to bother Momo and Tenya for notetaking help since Mela seemed always busy when he wanted to approach her. Had he somehow insulted her? He didn't dwell on it too much and looked forward to the weekend. UA had school Saturdays but they were mere half days and also allowed students to wear whatever they wanted. Denki had on a pair of black jeans and a white tee shirt with a black lightening bolt on it. He also had on his own personal leather jacket and a pair of black boots. His other classmates were looking just as relaxed despite the lumbering bus ride towards the USJ. He looked uncomfortable as he thought back to their first year and how things had gone so horribly. But All Might saved them all.

It had been an event Denki hadn't thought of until now. It was evident the others, minus Mela and Ruka, were also uneasy. That was to be expected. Denki's head shot up when he heard his name and Kurotsuki's. A wave of relief washed over him. Even though he didn't think there'd be another attack, he felt much saver knowing he would be teamed up with Ruka. Plus it gave him a much needed opportunity to show off and looked so cool saving so many people. But like her, his quirk wasn't practical for saving people, it was more for blasting enemies. "We got this, Kurotsuki, no doubt." He assured her as he caught her eye and jumped up. He and Eijiro had been sitting together, mostly playing on their phones until they had realized where they were being taken. He looked over his shoulder to see Momo and Shoto had been paired up together. Midoriya and Bakugo. Tenya and Mina. Interesting choices.

"Come on, let's be heroes!" Denki cheered. This time he seemed to be taking the role of emotional cheerleader while out of the corner of his eye, he noticed Uede looking a bit too fired up. His focus returned to Ruka as he headed with her to the earthquake area. He wasn't too happy knowing there'd be a lot of shaking as well dangerous debris. They would have to be really careful but at the same time, they'd need to ensure the people, or dummies, they rescued, weren't harmed in any way. He felt like this would be a challenge but by no means an impossible challenge. As he walked alongside Ruka, he nudged her lightly. "Hey after this, you got any plans?" He asked. He had been reading up on Greek and Roman myths and was hoping to impress her over lunch. "We could always grab that curry." He suggested.

A chill ran down his spine as Denki looked over to see Shoto and Momo walking off towards the sinking ship area near by. Denki gave the pair a friendly wave but he also had to wonder what Shoto and Ruka talked about. He hadn't had the guts to confront Shoto yet but he knew by now if he asked, he'd look totally weird. He had to be overthinking it. But still, Ruka seemed to glow in the setting sun sitting beside Shoto. It wasn't fair. He shook his head. "Heh. So Kurotsuki-san, I think we should focus on evacuating people in the worse areas and then maybe work on moving any rubble if needed." He suggested, not sure if that was the right procedure. "I don't think we should split up either, if something happens to one of us, the other can't be on the other side of the training ground." He added. "We're a team, in this together!"

AiAi AiAi

Dark bored hues glanced about the students as each pair seemed either nervous or excited. He then glanced down at Uede as she walked over to his side. He simply looked down at her as she seemed to have caught on to his little ideas for each pair. He wasn't lying when he said they were an odd number in the class, but he also had his own reasons for placing Uede on his team. He knew Uede's and his type of quirks would need a bit more than other more flashy quirks. He was hoping to show her how to use her quirk to the best of her abilities by showing his own quirk, though of course in this exercise, his quirk will be completely useless as it wasn't against any enemy but just a robot. That was also part of the reason why he paired himself off with Uede...that and seeing her little fire time to time wasn't bad in his opinion.

He simply let out a sigh as Uede shouted that she will beat him in saving more people. Scratching the back of his head, he answered her in a bored tone, "Uede, calm down. This is a team exercise so we won't be competing against each other..." he stared her down before shaking his head. Hearing her little teasing comment, Shota flashed Uede a smirk as he replied back, "you'll see for yourself why you're paired with me." He called forth the students and made sure each headed off to their assigned areas before walking towards the city center where he and Uede will go.

As they entered the dome building where there was a ruined city, Shota glanced over at Uede as he stated, "just so you know, I'm not the one assessing you today..." for today he will be treated just like any other student, just a participant. Cracking his neck side to side slightly, Shota waited until the loud bell rang throughout each area, signaling the start of the rescue mission. The moment it rang, the city center began to tremble as various bots came out from all over the place. There was the sound of screaming as 'civilians' or non-harmful bots were seen running about the area while the villain bots appeared. Why did he choose this place again? Shota recalled that Uede wasn't that fond of close combat from how it seemed after reading her charts. He glanced over at Uede as he tugged at his scarf, "let's see what you got hm?" Shota smirked over at her before jumping up, dodging an incoming attack from a bot as he used his scarf to wrap around the villain bot, once it was wrapped tightly around Shota tugged at it, throwing the bot into the air before slamming it back down onto the ground. With that done, he ran just in time to save a civilian from the hands of a villain as he then kicked the bot away before carrying the civilian to the 'safety' line. He turned to Uede, wondering how she was doing so far.

Yagi watched from one of the buildings in the city center as he noted there to be various bots. He bit his fingers as he watched with slightly concerned eyes as the bell rang throughout the ruined buildings. To think the city center was where the panic crowd control would take place. Of course Aizawa-kun would pick such a confined area for Uede Shoujo! As much as Yagi was proud of Aizawa-kun's thoughtfulness, he was still concerned the Uede Shoujo may be stampeded to the ground by the rushing crowd. Despite all that, Yagi kept a close eye on Uede Shoujo as he was in charge of assessing her today.

From the other ares, there could be heard various sounds as each area began to activate. The burning buildings area where Tenya and Mina were sent to was quite the mess as everywhere was on fire while Shoto and Momo were given an area where the ships were sinking while large waves hit them left and right. During this, Bakugou and Midoriya were struggling in their area of the rainy storm area all the while bickering. Yagi wondered how everyone was doing, tugging at the simple t-shirt that he donned of his own face on it with the little cartoon All Might saying in a word bubble 'PLUS ULTRA' while well Aizawa-kun was...Yagi glanced over to sweatdrop as he noted Aizawa-kun was still wearing his usual outfit. The dark-haired hero was always seen in his hero outfit day in and day out.

During her little nap on the bus ride to the USJ, Ruka was recalling her conversation with Mela a few nights ago. To think Mela would have crushes on not just one but three older males who also are part of the U.A staff? Despite Mela's insistence to not bother them, Ruka had plenty in mind of how to talk to them. She will find them one way or another. Mela just didn't need to know of this. She easily brushed aside Mela's jokes about Kaminari liking her, that was impossible. There was no reason for anyone to like her and honestly, Ruka was positive the whole soulmates idea was just all made up as well. How can she believe such a thing when her own mother wasn't happy? Well at least to Ruka it didn't seem like true happiness.

Smiling weakly over at Mela, Ruka can only nod her head as she watched her best friend bounce over to her assigned partner...who happened to be one of the guys she was keeping an eye for. Ruka's blue hues narrowed slightly as she watched Aizawa smirk over at Mela. Ignoring it for now, Ruka turned her attention to Kaminari. She smiled lightly over at him as she nodded her head, brushing aside a stray lock as Ruka decided to wear a simple outfit for the day. She donned some black shorts with matching black thigh high socks and a simple long-sleeved navy shirt with her left sleeve being all the way to her wrist while her right side had a gap on the shoulders, revealing her pale skin.

As they headed over to the earthquake area, Ruka couldn't help but wonder why them in this area? The quakes would definitely catch her off guard, but she thought it'll more suitable for Mela's type of quirk? Ah, but they were supposed to go into areas that were not fit for their quirks. She glanced over at Denki as she looked up in thought before answering him with a small smile, "I don't have any plans afterward so sure, I'd love to get some curry. Mel's been wanting curry too." She recalled her conversation about going out to eat curry with everyone with Mela the other night so she was sure her friend would be down for that.

As they entered the building, Ruka tied her hair up into a high ponytail as she deemed things will get out of hand the moment things began...and it surely did. Just as Kaminari finished his share of ideas of how to go about this, the loud bell rang in the area before the ground beneath them began to shake wildly. In her surprise, Ruka grabbed onto the closest thing which happened to be Kaminari as she looked up at him with wide eyes. A small smile danced across her lips as excitement could be seen bubbling beneath her eyes though there was also a hint of doubt in them as well, "yeah! Let's go with that idea!" Ruka shouted over the rumbling as she pointed at the nearby building which seemed ready to collapse at any given time.

As they entered the building, Ruka could hear someone's cries and was quick to rush over. She spotted a dummy robot laying on the floor, trapped underneath some rubble that had fallen from the ceiling...how can she save the person? On the side note, she will admit U.A. goes through quite the means to make things as lifelike as possible, these dummies seemed almost like real humans! Ignoring the thought, Ruka decided against using her quirk as she instead kicked the rubble off the person before helping them rush out of the building. She looked about, trying to find more people before she turned to see where Kaminari was at. She was rushing towards his side to help him out with the bigger pieces of rubble when things became rockier. It seemed like for a certain amount of time, the quakes would get pretty bad for the moment she stepped towards him, the ground began to shake even more. Her eyes went wide as she heard an undeniable crack from above. As her focus was on reaching Kaminari, she didn't even hear the cracking nor the crumbling as a piece of the ceiling was seen falling straight towards Ruka.

Genkai Genkai

Team or not, she would win! She trailed behind Aizawa, pulling her shades down to briefly survey the area. It seemed pretty ordinary to her. She pushed them back up. So he wasn't assessing her today? Then who was? Mela was intrigued but also annoyed by his secrecy. Something told her this was some horrible trap meant for her. "Bring it on." She just said, putting on a smile. Still, she had to think Aizawa was up to something sneaky. When he was this excited to do actual work, she had to question everything. Mela couldn't worry about her classmates at the moment as the bell signaled the start of the exercise. Glancing around, it seemed chaos had sprouted out of nothingness.

She watched with mild annoyance as Aizawa sprang into action. she watched him, for a moment forgetting she was a student, for a moment just admiring Aizawa. Did he know how graceful he looked? She could see the man embody a mixture of beauty and badassary. She caught herself staring for far too long when she saw Aizawa had already rescued someone. Mela's face puffed up slightly. He couldn't just distract her like that and then expect her to fight. Mela ran towards the crowds as she directed the mixture of bots and students to safety though there were still plenty of others to help.

Jumping up on a pile of concrete that was once a building, Mela looked around, trying to get a good idea of what was happening exactly. From behind a robot began to open fire at her. Mela jumped out of the way, using a variety of flips and sweeps to avoid getting hit. They weren't real bullets but plastic, still she had to bet while they weren't really fatal, they had to hurt. She wasn't keen on finding out. Ducking behind a decaying wall, Mela knew she couldn't exactly attack. She didn't think a punch, let alone hers, would do anything. And all of the debris looked too big for her to really lift. Left with no other choice, she fled, quickly finding a crowd of robotic civilians running. People panic, panicking people were dangerous and could cause a lot of damage.

Standing on her tip toes, she spun around, able to avoid getting bogged down i the group as she checked to make sure they were all okay before she heard someone calling out. She ran towards the cries and came across a student being cornered by a robot that its metal fists drawn. "Hey." She called out. The robot kept its back to Mela, still focused on its target. Mela looked around, knowing she had to do something to get the person out of harms way. But what? For a moment, she couldn't help but question her own ability to handle this kind of pressure. Ruka kept her calm but Mela was having trouble even just find a reason to smile at the moment.

Her priority had to be rescue. Not combat. Not if she could avoid it. She noted the student was cornered in a literal corner of a building that had been reduced to nothing. But there was no way to grab the student from the other side. Mela decided she'd have to go up. She ran around the crumbled building and climbed up the corner that spanned two stories, she looked down at the student as the robot aimed a punch. Mela sat at the top and looked down before she jumped, landing on top of the robot, knocking it out. Her knees buckled as she got up and staggered, feeling quite dazed by that impact of having to use herself as a weapon. The student ran off to safety as Mela hopped off the robot, somehow feeling like she had been the one hit by a truck. "A-aren't we supposed to be working together?" She called out to Aizawa.

At the mention of Mela tagging along, Denki sweatdropped. He wasn't inviting her too but he wasn't going to deny Ruka the simple company of her friend. Plus it was very possible that others would catch wind of the curry outing and tag along. But in an ideal world, Denki would just have a lunch with Ruka and get to have the entirety of her attention. But he had other things to deal with. Curry would have to wait. If he knew they'd be doing this sort of thing, Denki would have busted out his cape to wear but his current attire would have to suffice. He could hear the faint screaming of Bakugo and Deku and he shook his head, happy with his partner situation. Not to mention, Shoto was nowhere close by.

When the bell sounded, the whole area seemed to shift and rumble. He yelped as he felt Ruka hold onto him. An arm instinctively moved around her lower back, trying to keep them both steady. He looked around as he heard screams. He shuddered and looked to Ruka, almost not feeling in any sort of hurry as he enjoyed being so close to her. She smelled really nice. And with her hair pulled back, he could get a clear look at her face. His mouth was slightly agape as she ran off, her attention no longer on Denki. "R-right." He said weakly, feeling a little silly for forgetting about the earth moving beneath his feet.

Upon Ruka ditching him, he reached out for her but to no avail. "Waaaait." But it was hard to hear one another over the quakes. Denki saw her go inside while he took care of helping one of the robot dummies who were outside, having broken some kind of pretend limb. Denki lifted them up, grunting as he noticed they weighed about the average of an adult male. Wheezing, he carried the dummy to the designated safe zone and headed back to see if anyone else had injured themselves. The quakes seemed to come in degrees of harshness. Already he was feeling a little sick with all the movement. Heading into the building now, he began to focus on removing the pile of rubble but it was insanely heavy. He struggled and turned back to see Ruka coming for him. Boy, was she a sight for sore eyes.

Looking up, he spotted a chunk of heavy concrete heading for Ruka. DId UA enjoy putting their students in deadly situations or something? He was briefly brought back to two years ago when he had failed to save his classmates. No. That wouldn't happen again. "Kurotsuki-saaan!" He called out and ran forward. He leaped for Ruka, pushing her back to the ground as they avoided the slab that fell right behind their feet. A hand had come around the back of her head to protect her from the sudden tackle, his other hand resting by her side, to take off some of his weight from her. Denki blushed as he found their legs quite tangled together. He ducked his head over hers as another rumble sounded, a flurry of dust and small rocks falling around them. "Are you okay?" He asked over the noise, finding their noses almost touching.

FInally the quake died down and he quickly got up, lifting her up, looking her over. Denki wanted to keep working on the building but it was clearly unsafe. They couldn't put their lives at risk or else no one else would get saved. "We have to keep moving." Denki advised Ruka. As much as he wanted to keep working on that pile inside, his gut told him to move on, as much as he hated it. He knew there was some people they could save and some people who would only result in the death of them, which meant the death of many more. He grabbed her hand. "I'm not losing sight of you again!" He explained as another quake shook their area. That was too close of a call. Denki ran ahead to see another building that looked a little more stable to look through. "There?" Denki looked to Ruka, wanting to make sure she was okay with moving on to this building.

As Shota directed the panicked crowd of robots towards the safety zone, he kept an eye out for Uede. Where has that girl gone off to now? He let out a small tsk as he averted his attention to the crowd, once sure that everyone is safe, Shota ran around the buildings, trying to spot the brown hair of Uede. Hearing the familiar shouting, Shota turned just in time to see Uede jumping onto a robot and successfully saving the student robot. He frowned slightly as he noted her to stagger slightly. He shook his head as he walked towards her before suddenly rushing forth as he noted the building behind her to begin to crumble.

Using his scarf, Shota grabbed hold of Uede before pulling her into his arms as he jumped off the broken building and away from the danger. Shota looked behind him to see the building collapsing as more villains began to appear. He held back a sigh as he glanced down at Uede in his arms as he shifted her slightly so he can speak without his mouth full of her brown hair, "you alright?" He can only assume that breaking that robot must have left her slightly hurt or even just a bit dazed. His dark pair of eyes stared into Uede's before he heard a sudden light cough from somewhere nearby. Blinking a few moments, Shota let her down gently as he narrowed his eyes while looking about the place. Was that blonde Hero actually keeping an eye on him?

Ignoring the cough, Shota looked about them as villain robots began to surround them. Shota smirked lightly as he noted it to be most of the robots. If they could get rid of them all here now...then they can solely focus on saving the civilians. "Uede, how confident are you about jumping around on top of robots?" Shota spoke up as he began to loosen his scarf, "because I have an idea, but I need your help." He glanced at her briefly as he continued, "distract them while looping my scarf around them, I'll do the rest. Then we'll focus solely on saving the civilians." He handed her the end piece of his scarf as he kept a tight hold on the other end. He briefly smirked down at her before facing the robots, "let's get this started then."

Yagi nearly jumped out there to help Uede Shoujo as she was faced with that villainous robot. Why he ought to teach that thing a lesson! But he refrained himself as he knew he would not only have to listen to Aizawa-kun's scoldings, but he was sure Uede Shoujo would not be pleased either. Plus he wanted to see how Uede Shoujo would turn the tables for he was sure she is a clever girl. Soon enough she answered his question as she brought down the giant robot by using herself as a weapon. He smiled proudly though it was soon turned into a shocked look as he noticed the building crumble behind her. He stood up to go and help her when he saw Aizawa-kun swoop in to save her.

As the dust cleared, Yagi let out a relieved sigh as he noted Uede Shoujo was safe. Though what he saw next had him on edge. His eyes were wide as his mouth hung open as he noticed Aizawa-kun was carrying Uede Shoujo BRIDAL STYLE!? He could feel his lips quiver as he had no clue how to react to this or what to do. Noticing that Aizawa-kun was not letting her down anytime soon, Yagi coughed lightly into his hand as he knew that would get Aizawa-kun's attention. He felt a sudden glare on him, but Yagi was frowning back if Aizawa-kun could see him. What was Aizawa-kun doing carrying Uede Shoujo for so long like that!? Holding back this strange feeling, Yagi wrote some notes down before looking back to see what they are going to do next.

As Ruka was running towards Denki, she didn't even notice the falling ceiling until she saw Denki running towards her as well. Hm? What? Just then, she felt a sudden shadow fall over her as she looked up in time to see a large concrete falling directly to her. Before Ruka can even react, she felt someone push her aside as she closed her eyes shut. She was expecting to feel a sudden pain in her back or head, but somehow she didn't. Finding that strange, Ruka slowly opened her eyes to be met with gold. Huh? Blinking a few times, Ruka realized she was staring right into Denki's eyes and that he was close...very close. She could literally feel his breath puffing over her face as their noses were nearly touching.

Hearing his question snapped Ruka out of her stupor as she opened her mouth then closed it as she found no words were leaving her at the moment. She could feel a blush rising on her cheeks as she simply nodded her head, not trusting her voice at the moment. She noticed their legs were quite tangled together so she can only wait for Denki to get up first. She nodded her head as she was lifted up after him, finally thanking him as her voice was back, "thanks for that Kaminari-san, I would have been a goner haha.." she rubbed the back of her head sheepishly before rushing out of the building with him.

Ruka was startled when he grabbed her hand, but as they ran away from the crumbling building and to the next, she couldn't fight him for it. His reasons made sense. She gave him a small apologetic smile as she murmured out, "yeah, sorry about that." As they arrived at the next building, Ruka looked over at Denki and nodded her head. The two headed inside and there were plenty of civilians to direct towards the safety zone. As they were walking about checking for anyone stuck, Ruka heard a shout from somewhere nearby, but where? Looking about, Ruka spotted a hallway that had been blocked by a large piece of rock and the voice was coming from the other side. Talk about being realistic here...U.A definitely knew what to do.

She stared at the block before an idea came to mind. Walking forward, Ruka called out to the person stuck behind, "please step back as far as you can! We'll save you right now!" Once that was done, Ruka raised her hand as it became engulfed in her flames. Placing it against the rock, it slowly began to melt under her touch until there was nothing left of the large block. She smiled a bit though it soon turned into a gasp as things got a little rocky once again. She held out to take hold of the side of the building to get a grip, but she forgot about her flames on her hand. Not wanting to burn the building, Ruka flung her hand away though that caused her flame to spark out and fly in various directions...behind her.

Realizing who was behind her, Ruka looked over to Kaminari and with a panicked voice she called out, "watch out!" Her heart was thumping fast in her chest as she tried to keep her cool. The building was shaking more and more and people were rushing from behind her to get out of the building, but all her eyes could land on was on Denki to be sure he was alright. Hopefully her flames didn't actually hit him.

Why did her head hurt if she didn't hit it on anything? That couldn't be good. She pushed her shades up to rest on top of her head while she massaged her temple, she felt something wrap around her and pull her into the air. What now?! Wiggling around, she saw where she was moments ago, had now become a hefty pile of stone and pipes. She looked to see a slightly miffed Aizawa getting closer and closer. Her face lit up as she realized it was him who saved her and had brought her into the safety of his arms. Her mind immediately turned to a bowl of useless porridge. And his arms were holding like that of a blushing bride. Oh...oh oh ooooh! Her heart began to race as she looked up to Aizawa, it seemed as if time itself had come to a blissful halt. They were very close now. "I...um I think so." She said quietly, not sure where to exactly put her arms. Around his neck seemed inappropriate so she just rested her hands against his chest, noting he was unexpectedly warm, much unlike his general cold attitude.

What did she have to do again? Couldn't she just stay where she was for a bit longer? Back on her feet, she sighed, trying to piece together what had happened. Aizawa-sensei had saved her. She hated to admit it but it had been way cooler than All Might saving her. Even she was surprised by how smooth Aizawa was and how her heart had skipped a few beats. Mela hadn't noticed a cough nor could feel the eyes of someone else watching, despite Aizawa mentioning someone else besides him would be overseeing the events unfold and their reactions to them. Mela looked around, feeling more pessimistic than the man beside her, she looked to him as he explained what he needed her to do. "I think I can do that." Balancing and jumping? Sure. She still felt a bit dazed but now more so because of Aizawa than the fall she took.

Taking the offered scarf, she really wanted to ask him about it and what it was really made of and how he could use it. She wouldn't mind getting something like that. Looking down at the enemies, she jumped onto the closest robot, landing on top, she looped the cloth around it before she jumped onto the next one closest to her, repeating the process. Mela had no trouble standing up and moving, their movements not able to throw her off as she shifted her weight with her quirk, making quick work of the robots, ensuring they all got ensnared by Aizawa's scarf. When she had finished, she was reeled back to him so Aizawa could finish the job.

His idea had been quite good. She watched him out of her eye, believing she owed him an apology for being so rude before the whole thing started. It was thanks to his idea that they were able to get rid of the danger so they'd ensure those in trouble would have the highest chance of survival. It was scary to think their choices meant life or death for those around them. It reminded her that this wasn't some fun game to joke about. "Aizawa-sensei," She quickly put her shades back down to hide her face. "thank you." She said quietly as she jumped down to help steer the people towards safety. As she helped the various people and robots in need, she smiled, able to direct them to the safety zone.

No thanks was needed. He would have never forgiven himself if harm came to Ruka on his watch. Though he had to wonder if someone was even making sure he and her were okay. There had been some serious close calls and although he was used to UA's questionable methods, this was becoming a tiresome act to follow. He kept hold of Ruka's hand, looking ahead. "Don't apologize, I'm just glad you're okay." That's what mattered to him. That and saving the others. He couldn't forget that. He grinned to her, using his other hand to throw up a thumbs up to let Kurotsuki know he had no hard feelings for her or anything like that. They were a team. A team looked out for one another. Before he could dish out anymore words of encouragement, they came across a blocked hallway with someone in need on the other side.

He let go of her hand to let her rush forward. It looked impossible to move. Maybe he could blast it with his quirk? No, he doubted his quirk would make it through the concrete. Denki gritted his teeth but found Ruka was already working on a plan. Denki watched in fascination as she began to summon forth her own fire. He studied it, never having been this close to seeing her use her quirk before. He swallowed, nervous. Not to be around her quirk but because he hoped whatever she was planning, would work because he sure as hell didn't know what to do.

This whole arena was not one suited for either of them. That was likely done on purpose though. Aizawa-sensei could be a real pain. Denki wondered if he enjoyed putting everyone in the most uncomfortable situations. "Amazing, Kurotsuki-san.." He breathed but once the rock had been melted, it seemed like it she had done it! But then in order to control her flame, he saw a few slivers of black coming back right towards him. He dodged a few but then a bit landed in his hair. "Yow!" He danced a bit as he patted his head, smoke coming off of it. Denki put it out quickly but there was a distinct scent of singed hair. He laughed nervously, mostly happy that his jacket hadn't caught on fire.

"I-it's all good. I needed a haircut anyway." He said weakly. "We gotta hurry though!" Denki reminded Ruka as he pointed to the final dummy they had to get out. He didn't want her to get discouraged because he didn't give her enough space. By no means was he blaming her. He looked back to make sure those who ran out were all out of the building as it was coming down. The whole area was unstable. Denki grabbed Ruka's hand again and ran out with her as she took hold of the dummy. They placed it in the safe zone and stopped to catch their breath for a moment. "I'm really fine." He told her, knowing she was probably feeling a bit bad about how things were turning out. He needed her head to stay clear and not get fogged with worry. Though if he knew she may be worried about him, he'd feel a bit gooey inside. "I think we can try for one more building, what do you say partner?" He smiled, finally ready to go back out. For Ruka's first time in the USJ, she was doing quite well and he thought he may need to tell her how had it had been against real bad guys and how 1-A had been the ones needing saving. "I think we're getting better at this." He laughed.

Shota simply nodded his head as he handed Uede the other end of his scarf. He watched her jump up and about the robots while effortlessly wrapping them with his scarf one by one. He smirked slightly, it was quite the sight to see her literally just walking on the robots without falling despite the robots doing their best to knock Uede off of them. He watched in silent anticipation as the scarf was wounding more and more robots together until he felt the sure heavy pull as Uede came jumping over to his side. He gave her a brief smirk as thanks before tugging with all his might to bring the robots down together. It seemed to have done the trick for as he slammed the robots together, a loud crash was heard while the earth underneath them cracked slightly under the weight of all the robots.

Adjusting the scarf back to normal, Shota turned his attention to Uede as she called out his name. He simply stared over at her in silent question before hearing something he didn't expect coming from the girl who yelled at him the other day. A small smirk tugged at his lips as he followed Uede to go and direct the civilians to the safety zone. So she can have a cute side when she wanted to huh? Shaking aside his thoughts, Shota helped the civilians run to safety before looking about them, it looks like they were able to rescue everyone so far.

Turning towards Uede, Shota gave her a nod while saying, "it looks like we got everyone--!" Just then, a loud sound rang in the city center as a voice spoke up, "Aizawa Shota and Uede Mela, stage clear!" Shota grumbled under his breath as he thought that loud bell was more than unnecessary. Turning to Uede, he reached a hand out and lightly ruffled her short brown locks as he said, "good job." He turned to look around the arena, wondering if Yagi was still around. Shrugging it aside, Shota turned to look back at Uede as he simply called out to her, "what are you standing there in a daze for? Come on unless you want another round of this?" He smirked teasingly over at her before heading out of the area. He's had enough of the mess, rescue missions seriously are a pain in his opinion.

As they walked out, Shota looked about to hear more ringing sounds as it seems like most of the students have finished their own area as well. He wondered how everyone did as he left the assessment to All Might, Midnight, and Thirteen and Present Mic. It was a good thing that regular classes were not in session as that meant more of the pro-heroes are available to help out. Shota would have been beyond tired if he had to watch each assessment and be stuck in each area for a given amount of time. Turning to Uede, Shota tilted his head to the side as he looked down at her, "your head, is it alright?" He noticed her staggering earlier and wondered if she hit her head on anything and even then he asked her to do such a task. Perhaps he should have made sure she was fine before making her work like that. Regardless, she did quite a job well done. Rescuing was definitely more in her area he supposed. Reaching a hand out, he lifted her bangs out of her way to check her forehead...it wasn't red...well that was good. He didn't even notice he was getting closer as he was too focused on making sure she didn't actually hit her head.

Yagi was stuck in the city ruins as he couldn't quite wrap his head around what he's witnessed. Did Aizawa-kun really just smile just then? It wasn't the usual devious smirks...it seemed more genuine...so strange. Yagi shook his head as he left from the back exit as he went to meet with the other teachers. The students did not need to know who were assessing them anyways...until later for he was sure Aizawa-kun would mention it much later to the class.

Hearing his shout, Ruka's eyes scanned his body to see where it hit him, only to see the flame dancing atop his brightly colored hair, oh no! Ruka rushed forward to place her hand over the spot which was now singed as worry was laced in her blue hues. She bit her lower lip as all other thoughts escaped her for that brief moment. Snapping out of her thoughts Ruka could only nod her head before running back to help the dummy up. As she slung the dummy onto her back, she felt her hand being taken into Denki's once more. But right now Ruka couldn't even think straight. For now, she'll focus on helping the civilians get to the safety zone.

Once they reached the safety zone, Ruka gently placed the dummy down before turning only to look down at the ground. She couldn't bring herself to look up into Denki's eyes. She was scared of what she would see. Ruka finally looked up at him as he reassured her that everything was fine. She noticed his hair was slightly black the spot where her flame landed, her chest twinged in pain but Ruka managed to crack a small smile just because she could see her worry wasn't doing anyone any good. "You're right...let's get going." Despite that, Ruka couldn't shake off the fright she felt when her flames hit someone.

As they headed into the final building, Ruka placed all her focus into helping the civilians out and thankfully this building wasn't as badly hit like the others were. Recalling the timing when the last quake hit them, Ruka called out to Denki while helping a civilian stand, "I think the bad quake is coming soon! We should hurry!" She did not need to run into blocks anymore, no thanks. As they got out the last of the civilians into the safety zone, Ruka jumped in surprise as a loud alarm-like sound rang throughout the arena. She held onto Denki's arm in surprise as she looked about, wondering if something even worse was about to take place...only to hear a voice, "Kaminari Denki and Kurotsuki Ruka, stage...clear!"

Ruka let out a relieved sigh as she was more than glad for this to be over with....finally. Now that they were done...Ruka looked over to Denki, seeing the black part of his hair each time caused a frown to appear on her lips. Bowing in apology, Ruka spoke up, "I'm really sorry about that Kaminari-san!.... It doesn't...hurt, does it...?" Ruka looked up at him, worry in her eyes as she bit her bottom lip. She could never forgive herself if she hurt someone...again. What if he didn't want to hang around her because of this? What if he calls her a monster...? Ruka couldn't stop the negative thoughts from filling her head, not feeling happy despite the two having successfully completed the rescue mission. What sort of win is this if she hurt him?

Despite appearances, Aizawa could kick some ass. As much as she liked poking the bear with a stick, she made a mental note not to push too hard or she'd end up like the robots broken at her feet. Heh. She breathed in when his hand rested atop her head once again. She had to wonder if he knew what sort of mush he reduced her to with a simple touch. It wouldn't surprise her if he did know. But hopefully not. Mela watched him head off, slow to follow, ducking her head to let her blush subside a little before she looked up when he summoned her. "No no! I'm coming!" She grimaced, not looking for anymore action for the day.

More bells sounded to alert those in the massive area of their victory. Mela listened for Ruka's status, crossing her fingers as she trailed after Aizawa, looking forward to resting for the remainder of the afternoon. Maybe see a movie or something relaxing like that. The whole USJ adventure had been more than enough for her. As they reached the top of the steps heading out of the facility, Aizawa stopped, remembering she had taken a bit of a hard fall. Mela squinted at the bright sun hit her eyes.

Aizawa moved in closer, suddenly struck by some sort of wave of sympathy. Mela held her breath as he inched closer, trying to see if her head was okay. She began to stammer as her face suddenly felt like it was on fire. She felt quite frozen in place. Oh dear. "I-I'm okay." She tried to assure him. In the back of her mind, she had to wonder if All Might was somewhere in the facility but she hadn't seen him for a week. But she didn't think to ask Aizawa-sensei in the moment, her thoughts centered solely on the man in front of her. Reaching up, she didn't slap his hand away this time, instead taking hold of his wrist, "A...Are you okay?" She asked him, certain he was. He was a pro after all. This had to be child's play for those like him.

Still, Mela knew she ran off and in that time, it was possible her partner got hurt in that time. Perhaps her resolve crumbled under his gaze. Or perhaps the closer he got, the tighter her chest became. Whatever it was, he made her nervous. The same kind of nerves she felt when she first ran into All Might in the alleyway. Aizawa could be a jerk but he was also really sweet. His secret was safe with her. She turned back to see the others joining them outside. Mela dropped her hand from Aizawa's, "You really saved the day." She smiled to Aizawa. "Thanks to your plan, we made it." She was now back to her old self, at least until the next time he pissed her off. "You're pretty special Aizawa-sensei." She giggled.

Although a part of her thought he'd now insist she hit her head back there for the quick turnaround in moods. Still, Mela was very thankful for his help. Was there a way she could thank him without it coming off as weird or fangirly? Mela bit down on her lower lip as she waved to Ruka, glad to see she had made it out okay. She had a feeling Bakugo and Midoriya didn't pass. No surprise there. With water everywhere and a mismatched partner, they would have had to have gotten a miracle to pass. She doubted Aizawa got much praise as a pro compared to that of All Might or the others. He wasn't flashy or big on promotional things. "Say...ummm can I treat you to lunch?" She found herself going out on a limb, pretty sure he'd pass and go take a nap under a tree or something. Still why not offer? Who didn't want free food?

Breathing in, he headed off with Ruka to finish the job. He could see she was beating herself up. His own heart ached for her, sure if he was in her shoes, he would be just as upset. But still, his hair would grow back. Thankfully he didn't have anything like a bald spot. It was no big deal. If anything he'd rather his hair get burnt than his clothes. Denki helped Ruka with the rest of the evacuations, their focus remained on the task at hand. He kept giving her glances, wanting to make sure she was okay. At Ruka's thought that another bad quake was coming, he panicked slightly. Nooo he didn't want another one. His head was still a bit wobbly from the last few they had suffered.

"We can do it." He tried to assure her. As their alarm sounded, alerting them to their successful results. He let out a cheer and looked to RUka, so glad they had made it through in one piece. "Woo hoo! We killed it!" He laughed but stopped short when Ruka bowed and gave an apology. He shook his head. How could he make her understand that he was okay? Sure it could have been worse but it wasn't. And there was no way he thought any differently of her. No one's quirk was perfect and she was getting used to using hers in different ways. "Kurotsuki-san," He sighed, placing his hands on her shoulders. "You really don't need to apologize. Really." He said firmly, though there was a smile on his lips. "It was just an accident and it's just some hairs. It doesn't hurt, I'm fine. Really." He smiled.

And then he pulled her into a hug. He knew it was forward of him but he thought this was the only way she'd understand where he was coming from. She wasn't a monster. "Don't give me those sad eyes okay?" Denki winked at her after he pulled away from her, hands dropping from her shoulders. "Now come on, we better go before this place starts to shake again." He said as he headed off toward the entrance. As he walked, he could swear the ground was still moving. Or maybe his teeth were simply chattering. He looked to see Shoto and Momo heading out as well, both looking polite and calm but Denki had heard they had also passed. Lucky then. He looked back to Ruka, waiting for her to catch up before he kept for the exit.

Once outside, he rubbed his eyes and stretched his arms above his head. "Man, it's never boring in there." He groaned. That earned him a bit of a glare from Momo but he ignored it. He saw a few people coming out, some looking pleased, others...not so much. Notably Bakugo who seemed to be cursing at everyone around him as well as Aizawa for putting him in the rain and with Deku of all people. Denki caught sight of Eijiro and Kyoka who looked tired. Denki checked the time on his phone and saw it was 11:30 or so. Still early but they could grab some curry. Now in a better mood, Denki figured it would be fine if Ruka lured Mela out with them this time. He looked to Ruka, "So about that curry..." He began to say until he looked ahead to see Mela and Aizawa.

By now the others had joined him and Ruka, everyone beginning to talk about what they had been up against. Most of them were annoyed with how dangerous it had been. Some of them bragged about saving the day but Denki kept his heroic moment to himself. Normally he would want to brag about it but he didn't think it would be right to say something. Giving Ruka and grin, he found his stomach rumbling. "Saving lives does make me pretty hungry!" He admitted. "How about you, Kurotsuki-san?" He looked to her, hoping she'd go out with him. "We can invite others if you'd like." He then offered, hoping she'd say yes either way. He didn't want her to shy away because of what happened.

Shota blinked a few times as he felt the skin underneath his hand heat up suddenly. He looked over and noticed he was a bit too close to the brunette. He simply turned to watch the other students emerge from the arenas. Some looked quite worn out while others did not look pleased one bit. He knew he was going to hear all about it later when he meets with the teachers, but that was for Monday for no one wanted to work an extra day on a Sunday. No, they can all wait patiently until Monday, it was like an unspoken rule between the teachers at U.A. Hearing her question, Shota couldn't help but lift an eyebrow as he silently gave her a look that clearly told her that he is fine and who does she think she is asking? Even if he was tired, as a pro hero, Shota knew the answer he should always give is that he is okay. No matter how tired and upset one may be, a hero must always reassure others that was another job for heroes after all.

Feeling her small fingers wrapped around his wrist, Shota glanced at it briefly, noticing just how much smaller she is compared to him. He was relieved when she released his wrist as the sound of the other students could be heard coming closer and closer. He turned to face the students as he looked at each pair. Kirishima and Jirou looked rather worn out, but not upset so he can only assume they had a hard time but passed in the end. Iida and Ashido looked a bit worse off, but they were smiling and chattering so he assumed things went well for them. Todoroki and Yaoyorozu seemed calm and not even a scratch was on them...they must have passed with flying colors then. Bakugou and Midoriya looked quite upset and soaked...Shota lifted an eyebrow at this but he knew he will hear an earful of this pair for sure. He can already hear the booming voice of Present Mic...holding back a sigh, Shota checked the other students and noted that Kaminari and Kurotsuki were fine except for....is that a burn on Kaminari's hair? Shota smirked lightly as amusement was dancing beneath his dark orbs. Now that would be a funny story to hear. And lastly there was Uede, Shota looked over at her and smirked. She was improving and learning, that was good. Now he wondered what Al Might had to say for Uede and he supposed himself as well.

Shota snapped out of his silent assessment at the sound of Uede's voice. He glanced back at her and he couldn't help but wonder if she was alright. She just thanked him and called him special...was that a hidden insult or what? His brows furrowed in confusion as no one really ever told such a thing to him...and it was just strange. "Uede...I think you might want to go and see Recovery Girl..." he was sure she hit her head or something, though glancing behind him, he knew a couple had to go see Recover Girl first. He heard her invitation, but honestly, Shota didn't know how to respond. He was surprised. Turning to the class, Shota made things short and simple, "you guys did a good job today, now that we're over you guys are dismissed...except for Kirishima, Jirou, Ashido and Iida, you four go and get checked by Recover Girl...and for Bakugou and Midoriya...go get dried up. The class will be normal schedule so I'll see you all Monday, your two assessment grades will be given to you then. Enjoy your day off and don't get into trouble." With that, the class was dismissed.

Once he was done speaking to the class, Shota turned his attention back to Uede. He stared down at her, trying to understand her motives. Why was she inviting him? It was strange to think someone would want to treat him to lunch...or maybe she was looking for All Might? He recalled seeing those little stars and hearts in her eyes when she first saw All Might. Maybe it was because All Might has been on leave for the week? Despite all these questions running through his mind, Shota spoke up, "lead the way Uede." He headed towards the exit before looking back at her, "so? Are we going or not?" He was hungry so who was he to refuse lunch? Plus so far she has good taste in food.

Just then a deep voice spoke from the doorway to the USJ. Shota held back a groan as he recognized the voice, "did someone say LUNCH!?" Shota turned a bored eye to All Might as he spoke up, "no, no one said that now why are you even here?" All Might flinched slightly at the blatant refusal from Aizawa-kun, but he turned his attention to Uede Shoujo. His teeth glimmering, he gave her a thumbs up while saying, "good job there Uede Shoujo! You must be hungry! Shall we all go get some lunch?" All Might wrapped an arm around Shota's shoulder while placing a hand onto the back of Uede as he began to guide the two out, "now where shall we go?" Shota sighed as he looked off to the side, why was this happening?

After thinking of where to eat, the two pro heroes had a little disagreement of where to eat, "no no Aizawa-kun, I suggest the burger joint just down the street! The fries there are to die for and so are the milk shakes!" A sigh was heard as Shota replied back, "that's what you want All Might, why are you even suggesting places..." And so the two continued with their little disagreement before the two suddenly turned to Uede. Shota let out a sigh as he motioned to Uede, "Uede, you should pick a place. I'm sure whatever you choose would be fine." Better than whatever All Might picks that was for sure. All Might nodded his head in agreement, "yes! I'm sorry Uede Shoujo! We should have asked you first! What kind of heroes are we for ignoring a young lady's request!" Shota sighed as he shook his head at All Might's antics. He looked over at Uede, a silent plea hidden in the depths of his dark orbs as he asked her, "just lead the way."

And that is how two pro heroes are now sitting down for lunch with a petite, or well petite compared to the two males, brunette sitting in between them. Shota was looking over the menu with disinterested eyes while All Might looked rather excited. Shota turned his attention to Uede as he asked her, "Uede, what do you recommend?" He honestly wasn't sure what he wanted, plus she said she's treating him so might as well let her pick too. Meanwhile, All Might was hiding his face behind the menu, though his bangs were twitching every now and then. He could not believe it! He wanted to check first hand if Aizawa-kun really was being a softie to Uede Shoujo, but he really was!?

All Might has not seen this side of Aizawa-kun minus when he spotted the dark-haired pro hero with a cat once upon a time...granted he received quite the kick and glare after snapping a photo of the candid moment. It was worth all the kicks in the world as All Might still had that photo of Aizawa-kun smiling while holding a tiny kitten, speaking of which...All Might has never really seen Aizawa-kun smile until then and now...this. He looked between Aizawa-kun and Uede Shoujo only to jump slightly as he noticed Aizawa-kun's glare directed towards him. All Might can only let out a nervous laugh as he said, "well then! These all look so good! I wonder what to get...Uede Shoujo, Aizawa-kun, what are you two getting?" Shota merely answered back, "whatever she orders." Short and to the point...very Aizawa-kun like. All Might can only sweatdrop as he turned his hopeful eyes towards Uede Shoujo.

Ruka kept her head bowed as she didn't have the courage to look him in the eyes. She hurt him and that was the cold hard truth. No matter how badly she wanted to look the other way and forget it, that burnt spot on his hair was a good slap to her face that yes, she did that to him. No, it wasn't a fire since they were in an earthquake drill, not a fire area. She bit her lower lip as she wondered what sort of face should she make to him? He was happy and cheering for successfully finishing the assignment, but Ruka was in no mood to cheer. She didn't feel like it was a success...she knew she would fail this. Hearing him call her name, Ruka stiffened slightly as she wondered what he was going to say. She nearly jumped in surprise as she felt him grab hold of her shoulders. Slowly she lifted her head up to look into his golden eyes as he spoke.

Her sky blue hues widened slightly as he smiled at her. He even told her that she didn't need to apologize!....but why? Why was he so kind to her? Sure it was just a part of his hair, but even so, she hit him with her quirk, that shouldn't have happened. She glanced down once more uncertain, sure he may have forgiven her, but will she be able to forgive herself? Just as she was thinking so, a sudden pull caught her attention as she was enveloped in a hug by him. Ruka's eyes were wide as she stood there, unsure of what to do. It's not like this is the first time she's hugged someone as seen by her often hugging Mela, but for a guy to hug her...this just might be the first. Her eyes softened slightly as Ruka slowly raised her hands and placed it gently behind his back as she could feel the warmth resonating from his body and from his kind words.

Feeling him pull away, Ruka would be lying if she said she wasn't a tad disappointed. He was quite warm in her opinion. It was strange...she's never been hugged by a guy and honestly it was different from being hugged by another girl. Girls were definitely much softer or maybe that was just Mela, but him...he was much more...solid? Ruka wasn't sure how to describe it, but one thing was for sure...he was very warm. She stared up at him, finally cracking a small smile as he jokingly winked at her. Nodding her head, Ruka followed Denki out of the arena, more than happy to leave the quaking world behind. She was sure she's had a year's worth of earthquakes in half a day. Ruka looked about the place and could hear the various areas just blaring with the ringing sound as everyone else began to slowly make their way out. She spotted Todoroki up ahead and noted that he seemed quite collected, he must have passed then. She'll have to ask him how it went for him sometime later she supposed.

Ruka looked about in slight worry as she wondered how Mela did. She knew she'll hear it all later today, but seeing Mela would make her feel much better. Plus then Ruka can cry to Mela about how she burnt Kaminari's hair and he was still being so kind to her. Maybe then Mela would be willing to share her notes with him? Perhaps, and if not, Ruka might just have to share her notes with the blonde hero-to-be. He did save her today after all. The sudden image of Kaminari's face up close came to mind as Ruka recalled him saving her from the large concrete ceiling that nearly squished her to her certain death. Shaking her head slightly, Ruka willed the blush to stay down before following Kaminari out.

Ruka let out a small sigh as she closed her eyes, soaking in the bright sunlight as they stepped out from the large dome building. She then glanced down at her hands as she became lost in thought. Even when not using her flames, she could literally feel the dark warmth dancing underneath her skin, just itching for a chance to get out and burn everything in its sight. Ruka closed her eyes, trying not to imagine the dark flames slowly surrounding her. It wasn't called the cursed flames for no reason...it would literally destroy anything Ruka touched, to the point of leaving nothing behind. Just like the Metal All Might that Ruka fought against, not even a single drop of metal was left once she burned the robot completely. It was a good thing the small spark only hit Kaminari on the hair...if it was anywhere else, Ruka wasn't sure what would have happened. Granted she could easily extinguish the flames at her will, she wasn't quite confident of controlling her flames when she was panicking and boy did she panic when she saw the stray flame fly straight towards Kaminari. A frown marred her face briefly before Ruka looked back up at the blue sky.

Spotting Mela up ahead, Ruka was about to run to her when she stopped, eyes narrowing as she spotted the familiar black silhouette of Aizawa. What was he doing? She then recalled Mela was paired with the sensei...a small frown covered her lips as she wondered if anything happened between the two. Noticing the slight tinge of red on Mela's cheeks, Ruka can only assume something did happen. Hearing Denki's sudden comment, Ruka tore her gaze away from the pair up ahead and to the blonde beside her. She gave him a small smile as she nodded her head, "yeah, I am pretty hungry now that you mention it..." she looked over at Mela before looking over at Denki, "shall we go get that curry you mentioned before?" Just then, Aizawa-sensei began to dismiss the entire class. She was about to go and invite Mela when she spotted All Might entering the scene now as well. Ruka can only lift an eyebrow at this but a slight devious thought came to mind. Well, don't mind if she helped Mela a bit.

Pulling out her phone, Ruka quickly sent Mela a text telling the brunette, 'I'm going to grab lunch with the others, enjoy your time with the senseis!...ps don't you leave out anything this time around <3' Satisfied with her little message, Ruka turned to Denki as she said, "I think Mel is a bit busy right now, do you mind if it's just us? Oh but you can invite the others if you'd like?" Ruka turned to see who else was still there to see if they would be hungry for some curry as well. Ruka was sure despite what Denki says, he would probably be uncomfortable eating with just her. She wouldn't want him to think she'd burn his hair again or something like that.

Mela sighed and hung her head when Aizawa just told her to go see Recovery Girl. Nooo, she was fine. Stupid Aizawa, can't take a damn compliment. If he wanted to be insulted, all he needed to do was ask. She could just go eat with Ruka and the others and she would be fine leaving Aizawa alone if that's what he wanted. But before she could head off to check on Ruka, Aizawa spoke up to her, seemingly now interested in her offer. She slowly smiled as she chased after him, adding a bouncing front flip in order to catch up to his long strides. "If I'm leading the way, slow down." She protested as she jogged in front of him. He could be such a grump. But a cute grump. Maybe if she told him she happened to be a fan of his, he might smile again? "You know, Aizawa-sensei I'm not just a fan of--" She was about to tell him she was also a fan of his, not just All Might's before lo and behold...All Might appeared. "All Might!" She spun around.

It was as if several thousands hearts and rainbows radiated off of Mela as she listened to All Might. "Thank you though I do have to give credit to Aizawa-sensei." She blushed, rubbing her neck sheepishly. She looked up to All Might. Oh my, lunch with two of them? As hungry as she was, she feared she may not even eat anything, just being around them was enough to make her dizzy. This had to be some sort of dream. Well this had happened a few times in her dreams but she was pretty sure this particular outing wouldn't have the same storyline as her dreams. Heh. Clearing her throat, they began to figure out where to go. So many choices. Mela looked between them as they began to get into a little spat about lunch. Mela was just happy to be a fly on the wall, too enamored with them both to raise her voice and yell some common sense at them.

Thankfully her phone vibrated and she took it to see a message from Ruka so she replied while the two men erm...firmly discussed eating options. 'Thanks! At this rate, we won't have lunch until dinner! I wanna hear all about how you and Denki-kun did! ;P If I'm not back home tonight, just know I've died of happiness hahaha!' She sent to Ruka and looked up as Aizawa brought the dilemma to her. She put a hand to her face. Oh no. What would happen if she picked Aizawa-sensei's suggestion instead of All Might's? Or All Might's over Aizawa's? Mela decided to go with an option neither of them had voiced. Who could turn down ramen? She suggested a place she had been hoping to try and had read about online. She was happy to treat her two favorite heroes to something comforting and warm.

Leading them to a simple ramen shop, they sat up at the bar, Mela sandwiched between the two men, feeling quite happy. Almost too happy. Part of her was worried she'd end up overheating from all this excitement. She enjoyed a cool glass of water as the looked over the menu. The smells of fresh broth, scallions and pork filled the compact shop as a few patrons looked over, amazed to see two pro heroes in one spot. Whoever that girl was, she had to be pretty lucky. "Oh I love miso, can't beat a classic flavor." She smiled to Aizawa. "But if there's tonkotsu, that's pretty good as well. Buuut I gotta stick with miso, no bamboo or bean sprouts though and an extra egg."

She hadn't even noticed the glare over her head aimed at poor All Might. Mela took another drink of water, noting there was some kind of underlying tension but she couldn't quite place her finger on it relating to her, she assumed it was just how they acted around each other. It was so funny. They were like a cat and a dog sometimes. Like night and day. "You should get tonkotsu, I might have to have some." She teased All Might. "By the way, I was worried about you, you haven't been at school since the first day." She frowned. If Aizawa-sensei didn't like someone fretting over him, Mela had to hope at least All Might didn't mind. "I was beginning to worry I had poisoned you or something!" She joked. Of course that thought hadn't really crossed her mind but it was a funny coincidence that she gives him something and then he vanishes for so long.

A woman came by to take their orders and then left them alone again. Mela was hoping to hear some youthful stories about Aizawa and All Might when they had attended UA but she was sure if they got into those, they'd be at the shop well into the night. And then Ruka would go out hunting for Mela and her supposed kidnappers. Though she felt she was in a bit of a pickle. How to best hold a conversation with both of them so the other doesn't feel left out? Aizawa-sensei may not admit it, but she had to think he liked some kind of attention. "Sooo um after my first week at UA, I have to say I feel I do belong here. I think. What was it like for you guys?" She asked him, almost wanting to ask if they had anyone special attached to their arm or if they just focused on hero work. "Surely you guys have some interesting stories about UA antics back in the day." She hummed.

If Mela needed to be won over, surely saving her best friend would earn him some kind of Mela Credits or something. But that was far from his mind as he looked around the area. He rubbed his neck, letting out a slight yawn. What a morning. He hoped Ruka was feeling better, still confident in herself. With his own quirk, he had harmed his fellow classmates on occasion so he knew how she felt. But accidents happen and you had to learn to look at them from an outside perspective. Sure it wasn't ideal but usually things weren't as bad as you thought they were. In fact, he would likely be bragging about it in a few days time, saying how cool Ruka's quirk was and how he just had to get a closer look at it.

While Ruka was on her phone for a moment, Denki shrugged off his jacket, leaving him in just his tee shirt. He flung it over his shoulder, gripping it in one hand. "No no." He quickly said, not wanting anyone else to overhear his plans with Ruka. Definitely not Shoto. "We can just go grab curry ourselves." He said hoping his insistence didn't seem too strange. "I think that would be okay...yeah?" He looked to her, hoping to give Ruka his best excited smile, as well as the least creepy. Of course if she really wanted to include anyone else he would be fine but this was his chance to have some one on one time with Ruka and he'd prove he was much better company than fire-ice boy.

Denki headed off with Ruka, motioning her to follow him. As much as he would have liked to hold her hand, there was no real danger to prompt that from seeming okay. Denki sighed to himself they headed down into the heart of UA, thankfully the area not far from the city, unlike UA which would have been quite the trek. "I think we did really well." He commented, already taking the time to reflect on how they had done. "It was really tough, all of that heavy stuff. I guess when an earthquake happens we should leave the left lifting to someone else and we could help evacuate people. But you had a really clever trick of breaking through the asphalt." He smiled. "That fire of yours is really strong. I think you're even stronger than Bakugo-san or Todoroki-san." He told her. Though he would prefer if either boy didn't hear him say that or else he was sure some flames would be headed his way.

There were plenty of curry shops to choose from. They all smelled so good. The boy directed her towards one he had been to before with his parents. Once inside they went over to a digital kiosk and picked out what they wanted and paid, getting a ticket. Denki insisted he pay for Ruka though he told her she could treat him to ice cream afterwards if she really wanted to. That would be good after curry. Denki wanted to treat Ruka and he would. There was no way she'd be able to pay, at least where their lunch was concerned. A gentleman treated the lady. That's what his mother always told him while his father just laughed behind his wife. His parents were weird.

Once they handed their ticket to the man behind the counter, they sat to wait for it to come out. Denki had ordered chicken katsu and rice topped with a rich slightly spicy red curry. He even asked for some pickled vegetables on the side to cool him off as he ate. He took a sip of water and looked to Ruka on his left. Now that he had her alone, all of his studying seemed to go out the window. Tapping his thin plastic chopsticks against the counter, he tried to think of something clever to say. "You know even over the earthquake I think I could hear Bakugo screaming at Midoriya, I felt so bad for the kid. Though in case you're wondering, they've been at it long before they came to UA. They were childhood friends or something but how anyone could be Bakugo's friend is a little hard to imagine."

Still, there had to be some good in Bakugo if Deku admired him and wanted to beat him. Denki shook his head, glad he didn't have anyone to berate him. "Speaking of histories...I'm not sure if you remember or how much was even released to the public but the USJ was attacked during ou first year as students. These villains came out of nowhere and we were all scattered around the facility. To be honest I don't know what happened but when I could meet up with Aizawa-sensei he was in really bad shape. But Todoroki and Bakugo and Midoriya held the bad guys off until All Might arrived. We haven't been back since then so a lot of us got a little nervous, wanting to really prove ourselves this time." Denki explained. "I'm really glad I got to enjoy it this time with someone like you, Kurotsuki-san. It was really cool!" He didn't mean to make her feel left out in telling her this, but to show her they had been through a lot and a bit of hair catching on fire was nothing to worry about. But also he was glad he got to make new memories during his final year regarding the USJ. "You're gonna be a great hero! No doubt in my mind."

Shota listened to Mela's little ramble about which ramen flavor would be good. He watched her silently amused as he found that he couldn't quite get tired of her rambling. The way she spoke and how her facial expressions constantly changed was amusing to watch for the dark-haired pro-hero. He glanced down at the menu in question when she mentioned the flavors. Tonkotsu..or miso...but it seems like she wants a bit of both. With that in mind, Shota decided to order a tonkotsu ramen. He felt a slight twitch when she teased All Might about eating some of his ramen to which the blonde was fumbling over. Shota sent All Might a warning look as he lazily propped his head up with the palm of his hand.

He couldn't help but frown slightly as Mela was practically beaming as she spoke to All Might, well go figure there. He was almost everyone's favorite hero or at least one of the top favorites while him...well honestly he had no clue how popular Eraserhead is nor did he really care to know. Though being looked upon and having fans...maybe it wasn't an entirely bad thing, but overall Shota would prefer to not become a celebrity or anything of the sort. Those sort of attention is something he rather avoid at all costs...even if it means losing a student to All Might. Wait...what was he even...? Shota shook his head lightly as he listened in on the conversation once more.

All Might glanced over at Uede Shoujo as she suggested tonkotsu ramen to him. He looked down at the menu and nodded his head, "that sounds great! I'll take one of that then!" He flashed her a thankful smile before taking a sip of his water. Just as he did so, he nearly spat the contents out when she teased him about taking a bite of his. Holding it together, All Might simply let out a light laugh as he said, "if you are really hungry, then eat more!" He could literally feel the glare drilling into his forehead from Aizawa-kun as the two heroes were well over a head taller than Uede Shoujo even when sitting.

All Might blinked over at Uede Shoujo as she openly admitted to having been worried about his sudden absence from school. He was about to tell her that no, he has been at the school this whole week, but he remembered who he was during then that and the pointed look from Aizawa-kun snapped him out of his fumblings. "Ahahaha, no you did no such Uede Shoujo! But I am glad to hear one of my students have missed me! I was just...busy saving the day! Yes, a hero's job never ends after all ahaha!" He wondered if that was a good enough excuse, though he was genuinely happy to hear someone was worried for him. That, someone, noticed his absence, well many notices but they all brush it off as he is busy being a hero. In reality, it's actually the opposite and it's when Yagi is the most vulnerable. When he can't be All Might and is just...Toshinori Yagi.

After ordering their meal, the trio had a moment of silence until Mela broke it with a question directed to both of them. Shota and Yagi shared a look before thinking. How was U.A when they attended...? Shota spoke up with an answer rather quickly, "it was the same as it is for you guys." He glanced over at Mela as he continued, "we face the same types of trials and the same type of classes...but our teachers were..." he glanced over at Yagi who visibly flinched before All Might let out a booming laugh, "well yes, every student faces the same sort of trials, but I do suppose our teacher was a bit more...different. A strict teacher, but a very respectable one!" Shota merely scoffed as he knew just how 'bullied' Yagi was during their school days. Glancing over at Mela, Shota smirked lightly as he asked her, "what? You thought it'll be more of a normal school where girls flock around or something...ah but All Might there did have quite the amount of girls around him." Shota pointed boredly over at All Might who looked rather surprised.

All Might shook his head as he refuted such things, "n-no! Those girls were just asking for my help and Aizawa-kun you weren't very kind and so they always asked me or Hizashi-kun!" Shota didn't seem phased as he looked at Mela, "he means Present Mic...and they never asked me anything All Might." He lifted an eyebrow in question over at the blonde hero. It was true though, he usually was either sleeping in class or just too tired to care that he never really did pay any attention to his classmates minus Present Mic and All Might who were rather...persistent. While All Might over there attracted many people around him with that smile and power. He probably had more fans than some pro heroes even as a student...but, of course, the outcome of how they turned out as adults were as clear as day. Shota knew his path and All Might had his. The two never argued about that, they just worked around it and acknowledged the other for it.

Turning a questioning gaze to her, All Might couldn't help but ask, "so how do you view your school life here at U.A? I do hope you will have a wonderful year Uede Shoujo!" Just then their ramens arrived, All Might made loud comments as he marveled at the silky looking soup to the meat on top of his while Shota, he merely broke open his chopsticks and was slurping away, though not before placing a chashu on top of Mela's ramen as he simply said, "I don't eat those so you can have it." All Might stared incredulously over at Aizawa-kun before looking down at his bowl and then back over at Mela's. After a moment, All Might also placed his chashu onto her bowl as he smiled down at her, "you did a good job today! Eat up Uede Shoujo!"

Ruka looked curiously over at Denki as he seemed rather jumpy. Was he alright? She frowned slightly as she wondered if the burnt area was still a little too hot for his liking? Ruka was quite used to the heat and so often time she can't even tell when she burned herself due to that. She remembered how many times she got scolded by Mela whenever she had a burn on her arm without even noticing and thus leaving it to turn into a huge blister...those days was fun, not. Ruka nodded her head, "yeah, that's fine by me!" She smiled over at him before following him down to the city. She didn't know where it was so she just followed the blonde.

As they walked down the streets, Ruka listened to Denki's comment about their exercise to which Ruka can only nod her head to. She looked ahead while speaking, "you're right...but when we know that there aren't any heroes coming...I think doing what we can is the best. If it means saving people while putting ourselves at risk..." Ruka glanced up at Denki briefly before waving her hand as she took those back, "but that isn't what a hero does huh. They make sure to keep the people safe while doing what they do best. But you're right, we should leave such heavy lifting to other heroes who are more suited for it." Ruka ended with a small smile though deep down, she knew that wasn't how she felt.

If she was faced in a situation where a person was in need, but clearly she didn't have what it takes to help them...even so she would probably try. Sure it may mean that she might get hurt or even worse the person might, but if in the end, she could save that person or at least die trying...she was sure she wouldn't have any regrets. But then again, like she thought before, rescue missions were definitely not suited for someone like her. As they arrived at the curry house, Ruka stared wide-eyed at the menu before ordering a spicy curry with a cheese-filled chicken cutlet on top with extra pickles on the side. She smiled at her order, but when she tried to pay for it, well it ended up with Denki paying. Ruka pouted up at him and the two came to a compromise of her buying dessert. Satisfied with that, Ruka relented and the two were now sitting side by side, waiting for their order.

Ruka was looking around and taking in the different decorations as she decided that yes, Mela would definitely love this place. Turning her attention back to Denki, Ruka listened to his story with interest. Yes, she's heard of the story of USJ being attacked by villains, but to think Denki was there and involved in it. Ruka was rather amazed as she knew she would likely cause more trouble than good if she was there during such a time. If it was her in her first year of high school..yes, it would be trouble. She was somewhat glad she wasn't involved, but at the same time, she wondered how different she would be if she was. Ruka spoke up, "you guys are really brave...to think you would face villains right when you enter the hero school...it must have been scary huh." She smiled over at Denki as her eyes shown her respect for them. She blinked when he mentioned her. Ruka shook her head lightly as she simply replied, "oh no...I doubt it was any fun, but thanks. I passed thanks to you Kaminari-san...you were really cool back there by the way." She added the last part with a grin.

As their food arrived, Ruka enjoyed the meal quite happily so. She could eat a lot despite her small frame, like she's said before, don't judge a book by its cover. She glanced curiously over at Denki's curry before letting out a surprised sound as she bit into her katsu. The cheese was a lot and now she was tugging and pulling at the katsu to get it to break but to no avail. And so Ruka had a long string of cheese hanging from her lips as she attempted to bite it off. She can only let out a small whine as she finally had to cut it with her fingers. After talking a bit more, the two were soon heading out to get some dessert. Ruka was looking around wondering where to get some good ice cream. Stopping at an intersection, Ruka looked back up at Denki as she looked a bit lost, "um...do you know any good dessert place?" She sounded rather hopeful as she looked up at the blonde and here she was supposed to be treating him to dessert.

It was a great relief to know that All Might was okay. She did have to assume he was busy doing hero work. It would be selfish of her to think he could spend all day teaching and passing along his wisdom to her and others. So it made sense he was doing things. Sadly he was right, a hero's work was never really done. There was always something to do, someone to help. In a perfect world, there would be no one in danger. But in that world, heroes wouldn't be needed. It was an impossible world to imagine but it was a nice thought, no more crime. No more pain or sadness. She perked up when she heard Aizawa begin to note how school hadn't really changed much between then and now for them. "Really?" Her eyes couldn't help but sparkle when Aizawa went on to mention how popular All Might had been. "That doesn't surprise me one bit." She laughed.

On the internet, she had seen a few pictures of All Might, Eraserhead and Present Mic as friends during their UA years. Mela had to admit that they all looked really good. But she also had to say they aged pretty darn well. Except maybe Present Mic. That hair just got even wilder! Before she could formulate an answer to the question posed by All Might, their food arrived. Finally! Mela poured some of broth over her toppings to ensure they were as rich as possible. Suddenly she found herself gifted with some chashu. "Aww, are you sure?" She smiled. Aizawa-sensei was really nice, even when he was trying to deny it.

All Might then gave her a slice of pork as well. Her face turned bright red as a split second choice was made regarding a response. "Oh th-thank you." She could always use double the meat. Or triple. (SORRY I COULDN'T MAKE HER SAY IT) She giggled awkwardly, mostly at her own thoughts, thankful she hadn't blurted it out. She went back to eating, capturing strands of noodles and slurping them up. "Oh right...well I think UA is a great school, a more intense than my last one." She said. Though that was due to the psychopath sitting beside her. Aizawa-sensei could be quite devious but maybe that was in his job description? "Still I know I'll go pretty far with teachers like you guys. I'm quite a lucky girl." She said as she went back to enjoying her ramen.

Yes, she was lucky; saved by both All Might and Eraserhead? She could cross those things off of her bucket list.

She finished her noodles and toppings, happily enjoying the additional chashu, saving her soft boiled eggs for last, loving that yolk mixing with the miso broth. It was like heaven. "I love miso, it's the only thing I really want when I'm sick." Ruka made a nice miso soup. It was easy to make but difficult to really perfect. She pushed her bowl in front of her, finishing off her water. It was getting warmer with each passing day. Urgh. Mela pulled out her coin purse, fishing out the correct change for their orders. "Thanks for coming to lunch with me, I don't think I'll forget this day ever." She laughed. Taking out her phone, she suddenly felt like an annoying fangirl but she had been hoping to ask them for a while and now seemed as good a time as any. "Um would it be possible to get a picture...? Eheh. "

His heart soared when she mentioned how cool he had been.

That was the best news Denki Kaminari had gotten in quite a while. "I wasn't that brave. But thank you, Kurotsuki-san." In the end, it was Momo and Kyoka had done most of the hero work. Denki had expended too much and ended up a dope for quite some time. He had been pretty useless in the situation. Even Momo had to create a blanket that could ensure his classmates would be safe when he did let his quirk loose. "I did have fun though." He said. "I mean, today with you." If he had to endure that again, he would prefer to be by her side than anyone else's. Her quirk was amazing and every time he saw more of it, the more certain he was that she would become quite a popular hero when they graduated and took jobs at agencies around the world.

He had to hope he and Ruka could still stay in touch. Though the idea of him and his classmates losing touch was not the kind of happy thought he wished to dwell on so he pushed the unknown future away. For all he knew, they'd stick around the same area, maybe even some day teach at UA together. That would be pretty fun. He began to eat but heard Ruka making some kind of a noise. He looked to her and couldn't help but start to laugh. She looked so silly, so different from her usual calm, cool and collected self. It was...very endearing he had to admit. "You okay there?" He teased. It looked as though she had gotten it under control though and could enjoy her meal.

When they were finished, they headed out into the sunny afternoon, wandering around, looking for a good place to go. He pulled out his phone and found a place. "Sure, this place looks good." He said, it was only a few blocks away. Denki headed there with Ruka, both speculating what next week would hold for them as well as their plans for their day off tomorrow. Leaping in front of Ruka, he opened the door for her to let inside the small parlor that resembled an old ice cream shoppe from America. The store was pink and white with old fashion seats and records glued onto the walls. It was very interesting. He looked up at the menu and decided chocolate sounded good to him.

"Just a scope of chocolate for me, please." He told Ruka. Thinking back to what she got on their first day, he couldn't help but crack a grin. "Let me guess, you're gonna go with...strawberry?" He looked to her, feeling quite pleased that he could remember it.

"Kurotsuki-san, Kaminari-san." A voice greeted them from behind.

Shoto entered, having just parted ways with Tenya and Momo, the tree of them discussing how their results went. Tenya was a bit shaken from his but Shoto thought his had gone as expected: very well. Talk about a small world. He got in line behind them, deciding he'd like a scoop of strawberry. "I hope your results were satisfactory." He said as they waited in line. "To be honest, I would have enjoyed being paired up with you, Kurotsuki-san, I believe we could learn a lot from each other, given our quirks are similar." Denki bit the inside of his mouth, not enjoying their new third wheel. He was happy with just him and Ruka, no one else butting in but of course it had to be Todoroki. He kept a smile on as he just looked in front of him. "Do you two mind if I join you? I'm not interrupting anything am I?"

While Shoto didn't have much dating experience he had enough awareness to understand a male and female out and about might be dating. He doubted Denki was that clever but still, if he was being rude, he'd excuse himself without hesitation. Still, he had to think Kurotsuki might be a tad more selective in who she might date. Kaminari was friendly enough but he didn't think they shared much in common. "Oh that reminds me, I quite enjoyed our talk under the cherry blossoms, I have a book I was hoping to lend you but I don't have it with me." Shoto said. "Would it be possible to meet you before school on Monday?" He asked her. "I'm hoping it's a collection you'll find inspiration from."

Denki ground his teeth together. He didn't need to be reminded of Shoto and Ruka's little outing which he was still blaming Eijiro for. And now Denki was feeling like the third wheel all of a sudden. He inhaled, still smiling. Though on the inside he was thinking of ways to get back at Todoroki somehow. That guy was really smart and if he had an interest in Ruka as well, which was now a nagging thought for Denki, he would have to step his own game up in order to combat Todoroki. "I-I have something for you to burrow too!" Denki blurted out, a few people in the parlor turning to him, giving him odd looks and giggles.

Shoto doubted Ruka was really interested in comics but didn't voice this, not wanting to seem rude.

Shota had no clue what All Might was thinking nor what he was doing as a matter of fact. The dark-haired hero watched with uninterested dark hues as All Might looked rather frantic as he stared longingly over at the chashu on his bowl before glancing over at Uede's bowl before finally placing the said object into her bowl. If he wanted to do that from the beginning, he shouldn't have panicked. It may not have been obvious to others, but for Shota it was more than obvious. Shota refrained from rolling his eyes as he merely let out a small 'hm' in response to Uede before digging into his own bowl.

After explaining how All Might was popular in school back in their days, of course, Shota would have expected Uede to agree to that. He frowned slightly as he refrained from mentioning just how bad All Might was at dealing with the female population. All Might have never been that suave nor cool for that matter as Shota recalled a moment when a girl confessed to All Might during Valentine's day only for him to mistake it as a confession of being a fan of his. Shota can only shake his head as All Might was then slapped by the crying girl. He can't blame the girl for that one. All Might can only shake his head while denying such a fact, "I have never been like that! Aizawa-kun, you shouldn't go making things up!" All Might shook his finger towards the darker haired male whom simply shrugged while replying back, "it's not a lie when it actually happened, though I'm sure Present Mic has more interesting stories about All Might than I would." Shota smirked slightly as he dropped the little hint that Present Mic would be more than happy to tell Uede stories about the past. Wait....scratch that...that also meant Present Mic would tell Uede about him too! Well, it was too late now, hopefully, Uede would be too focused on All Might that she won't even think about asking about him, Eraserhead.

As the trio ate their meal, All Might smiled down at Uede as she happily exclaimed her excitement for studying at U.A. He let out a light laugh as he said, "well I'm glad you are here! I wish you were here from the first year, I bet you would have been wonderful Uede Shoujo!" Speaking of that...Shota couldn't help but wonder why Uede didn't apply for U.A straight off the bat. He was sure with her quirk, passing the entrance exam wouldn't be an impossible feat, heck if Kurotsuki was there with Uede, then it was quite possible the two could have earned quite the points by working together and helping others. Shota will keep that in the back of his mind so that he can ask her some other time...specifically when a certain loud blonde hero isn't around.

As they paid for the meal, or rather Uede paid, much to the surprise of All Might who shook his head while trying to give her money back but to no avail, "Aizawa-kun! Why are you letting a young lady pay for your meal!?" All Might frowned over at his friend, hoping that Aizawa-kun would be that much of a gentleman at least. Shota simply replied back, "she said she's going to treat me to lunch, so why would I pay?" Of course, Shota wouldn't have minded paying, but she offered so it'll be rude to ignore her wishes and just pay....plus he was sure she would just shove the money back to his hands and be done with that. She can be a bit fiesty when she wanted to be.

As they were getting ready to leave, both Shota and Yagi were not expecting the next set of words to leave Uede's mouth. The two stared down at her before looking over at each other. A picture with them? Yagi immediately jumped at the opportunity as he happily exclaimed, "of course you can Uede Shoujo! How should we take it? Ah, Aizawa-kun come on!" All Might gestured for Shota to join them. Holding back a sigh, Shota leaned into the picture and his eye twitched slightly as he said, "All Might...you might as well be the one taking the photo, otherwise we'll only get your teeth and that's about it." Realizing just how much bigger he was compared to the two, All Might leaned further down while taking Uede Shoujo's phone, "well then excuse me Uede Shoujo, now there, two one, plus ultra!" A clicking sound was soon heard as All Might was seen smiling with his pearly white teeth showing while Shota looked like how he always is. The only difference must be that they were pretty much squishing Uede as the two grown males did their best to fit into the photo. Shota stood up seeing as they were done with everything. All Might turned to Uede Shoujo and asked her, "what are your plans now Uede, Shoujo?"

Ruka smiled back at Denki as she replied, "yeah, today was...fun." It was fun over all she supposed....minus burning a part of Denki's hair but other than that the rescue mission wasn't that hard nor was it impossible. She just learned that she doesn't have to use her quirk to save others, but at times her quirk can be useful she supposed. Or well in the situation when something needed to be destroyed. Ruka couldn't help but wonder how Mela did on her test. She was certain Mela did an outstanding job, Ruka smiled slightly as she couldn't wait to hear it from her friend later tonight. After having eaten lunch, Ruka was quite happy and satisfied but she knew dessert would just be the best way to end the lunch time. So after finding a decent dessert place, Ruka followed Denki to the store.

As they entered the rather cute store, Ruka couldn't help but look around in slight awe. It was really cute, the decorations and everything. As they were in line, Ruka looked over at the various flavors and already knew what she was going to get. She nearly jumped in surprise when Denki guessed correctly on what she was going to get. She rubbed the back of her head sheepishly as she asked him, "am I that easy to read?" She remembered he wanted chocolate and so Ruka was about to order when she heard a voice from behind them.

Turning around, Ruka was surprised to see Todoroki standing behind them in line. Ruka blinked a few times as she greeted him, "Todoroki-san, I didn't think I'd see you here." She was surprised that much was certain, but she supposed she can't blame the guy for wanting some ice cream after all the exercise they've done today. She smiled lightly as she nodded her head, "ah yes...but..." she glanced over at Denki and with a smile she replied back, "there must have been a good reason why sensei placed us into such pairs, though I'm sure we'll get to work together as a team as well." She glanced over at Denki before looking over at Shoto, "oh sure, you can join us if you'd like, right Kaminari-san?" Ruka asked Denki as she smiled up at the blonde.

As the three waited in line, Ruka blinked over at Todoroki as she tilted her head in question, "a book...?" her eyes shined slightly as she was a tad excited to know what he had. Nodding her head eagerly, Ruka said, "sure I can meet you before school on Monday, what time and where?" She just wanted to know what sort of book Todoroki read and was so excited she just said okay without much thought put behind it. Hearing Denki's sudden outburst, Ruka glanced over at him in slight surprise as she repeated his words, "burrow...?" She giggled slightly before smiling over at Denki, "is it a comic? The one you said I'd probably like? Then if so yes please! Oh, then I can lend you the book I was talking about to you too!" Ruka was quite pleased with all the exchanging the three were going to do on Monday as she just finished her new book and was now looking for something new to read.

Turning to order, Ruka asked politely, "may I please have one scoop of chocolate, another scoop of strawberry and..." turning towards Todoroki, Ruka asked him, "Todoroki-san, what did you want? I'll pay." She smiled over at him before ordering whatever he wished and once she was done paying, Ruka sat down at one of the tables with her ice cream in her hands. Turning to the two guys sitting with her, Ruka asked them, "so what are your two's plans for the weekend?" Or well Sunday, but still it was the weekend for them technically.

Mela had already made a mental note to go cozy up to Present Mic for more juicy gossip when it came to All Might. Perhaps he'd have something on Aizawa as well. It was likely. Her online discussion groups were going to love all the intel she was going to collect. Hehe. Had Mela known All Might really wanted his chashu, she would have given it back to the big lug. She didn't want to just take food from his mouth. He probably needed it more than she did. Still, she was grateful for the extra slices, finding it quite amusing for them to just offer her something. She didn't even have to whine or put on a pitiful expression. Somehow it was too easy. But she chalked it up to them being such gentlemen~

Truth be told, Mela still didn't feel like she was UA material. She was so glad to be at the school but she didn't think applying had really been in the cards even two years ago. She was happy to stick closer to home, closer to Ruka and her own family. But being at UA was great, better late than never. She was glad to treat them both, assuming it wasn't often someone did cover their tab. Though given their hero status, she highly doubted they were worried much about bills. Though having spent a bit more than intended, including paying for Aizawa's groceries, she was planning on finding an odd job tomorrow. Maybe tutor someone or do some cleaning to balance out her monthly budget a bit better. She had plenty of money though, but she wanted to make sure her budget was well accounted for.

At the mention of a picture, she felt rather silly in asking. But thankfully they agreed. Well, All Might was a given but Aizawa seemed agreeable. Maybe it was because he had a full tummy and wasn't just living off on instant soulless food? She handed All Might her phone as they moved in to take a photo. She bowed in thanks, hating to ask but she would try not to bother them any more with that sort of thing. "I'm not sure, I may just head home and wait for Rukie-chan." Mela was dying to hear how she and Denki preformed, wishing it had been her and Ruka together. They would have been a great team. But she got to team up with Aizawa and she was happy to have seen his skills first hand. He really was a pro. She just wished she hadn't needed saving. Mela hated she needed saving twice now but hopefully it wouldn't develop into a pattern. "Anyway, I'll see you guys Monday. Don't work too hard!" She smiled as she headed off to grab a bus home.

About a half hour later, Mela had made it back and took a quick shower, changing into some pink sweatpants and a blue and white striped tee shirt. Something nice and comfortable. She was a bit sore from all that running around and crashing into that robot. She decided to make something sweet to occupy herself, a simple batch of cream cheese brownies. She decided she could use them to bribe Present Mic for some tantalizing stories. When she heard Ruka's door open and close, she hurried outside and knocked on the door before being let in. "Rukaaaaaa!" She greeted, carrying her tray of brownies, a third already eaten by yours truly. "You're alive!" She laughed.

In the city you never knew what would happen so she was just glad she made it back okay. Mela settled on the couch as they began to catch up on the morning's events. Taking out her phone, she checked the picture and smiled wide. That picture, she just going to keep to herself. No need to post it online or anything like that. "I was really nervous about this morning but the most amazing thing happened, Aizawa-sensei saved me. Woosh! It was so romantic! He pulled me into his arms with his handy dandy scarf and carried me off to safety." She swooned, wiggling her legs. "All that was missing was a veil and a dress and some flowers!" She giggled as she gave Ruka a dreamy look. "And lunch went so well. They both gave me some meat. I mean not like that!" She blushed even harder.

She fanned herself to cool herself down, still a bit caught up in her own thoughts. "They're both so nice. Even Aizawa-sensei was rather kind, he worries but he tries pretty hard to make it look like he doesn't." She sighed. "Anyway enough about meeeeee. What about you? I need to know what happened with you and Kaminari. He didn't get in the way did he?" Mela asked. Both of them had to have struggled in the earthquake area but Mela would have loads of fun jumping around. It would have been a total cakewalk, minus lifting heavy things. Still, Ruka didn't seem hurt or anything so Mela had to think they made it out okay. "Did lunch end up being a group thing...? You said there'd be others right?" She asked Ruka, thinking back to the text she had gotten.

The more the pair went off on their own, the more chances Shoto and Denki had for cornering poor Ruka. Mela decided she'd have to keep a much closer eye on Ruka and make sure the next outing, Mela would not miss! Plus she was hoping to get to know the others. That said, she wasn't regretting her little lunch date with All Might and Eraserhead. Even though she wished she could have told Aizawa she was a fan of his, she had a feeling he wouldn't really care. If anything, he'd probably make fun of her if he knew she once had a poster of him in her bedroom next to All Might's. Then again, every hero deserved to know that someone looked up to them. She'd have to figure out a good way to tell Aizawa without coming off as a weirdo, if that was possible.

"S-sure..." Denki puckered his lips as Shoto, he minded but he couldn't tell Ruka that. "The more the merrier...er." He forced himself to give them a thumbs up. Shoto was like a gigantic raincloud on what was once a very happy sunny day for Denki Kaminari. Denki wasn't too pleased with how vocal Ruka was with Shoto's offer. Shoto's books would probably put her into sleep, nay a coma. He now had to go out and find something really suited to Ruka now that he had said something. He could feel Shoto's eye on him. He swallowed nervously, not even wanting to acknowledge the other UA student. He wasn't invited damnit!

"How about at 7:30 by the gate?" It was simple enough Shoto figured. Plus it had a great view of the trees and flowers that were strategically planted all around the courtyard of the school. Shoto didn't even bother checked with the blond to see if that worked for him. If it did, great. If not, oh well. Shoto gave Ruka a smile, "Oh that is very generous of you Kurotsuki-san." He declared. "I will follow your lead and have some strawberry as well." He said. "I do hope one of these days you'll allow me to treat you to something sweet." He said. Turning around, Denki made a face, trying not to gag at Shoto's words. "Are you alright, Kaminari-san?" Shoto called out, almost as if he could hear the noises of distress Denki was trying to supress.

"I'm fine." Denki pouted. "I just needed some water is all." He said, trying to sound like his usual cheerful self. He headed over to grab them some cups of water before he sat down at a table. Shoto joined as Ruka came over with their cups of ice cream. Denki grabbed his, eyeing Shoto slyly. "Thanks for the ice cream, Kurotsuki-san." He said. "This hits the spot after that curry we had." He said, his eyes darting to Shoto for a moment but the boy didn't seem phased by that comment. Denki took a bite and sighed. It was so good. He took another and another before he gripped his head in agony. "Owww." He groaned. He just couldn't help himself.

Ignoring the boy, Shoto turned to Ruka, "I believe I'll just study and spruce up the house a little." He told Ruka. "It's nothing glamorous but sometimes I find cleaning a good way of clearing my mind." And his father was hardly home so the chores often fell to Shoto's shoulders anyway. He didn't mind. He liked to meditate and cleaning for him was a form of that. "What about yourself? I expect something with Uede-san? If you need help finding good places in the city, I'd be more than happy to send you some recommendations to various venues and eateries. All in safe places, I assure you." Shoto said smoothly. He wasn't currently aware that Denki likened himself to some kind of tour for Ruka but he had to doubt Denki had a lot of cultural and historic knowledge when it came to where they lived and attended school.

Finally over the brain freeze, Denki looked to Ruka, wanting to know what she in fact would be doing. He had to figure it was something like school work or reading. He was tempted to aim a kick under the table at Shoto's offer, not wanting the other guy to hone in on his superb tour guide gig. "Well I'm gonna play a ton of video games and probably check out that new sci-fi movie about that colony on Neptune. It looks really scary." He said proudly. "You and Uede-san are welcome to join me and Eijiro-san." He told Ruka. The three continued to chat lightly as they enjoyed their frozen treat. Shoto and Denki traded looks from time to time, mostly just to see if the other one was watching him or Ruka. Soon it was time to part ways.

Shoto got up, needing to head home and get dinner started for his father. He smiled in parting, giving them a single wave before he headed out of the parlor, rather glad to have ran into Ruka and Denki. It was honestly a fluke that it had happened but Shoto took it to heart. He already knew of the book he wished to give her, a selection of poetry by Emily Dickinson, it was one of the original printings so it had a lot of her notes and alterations. It was quite rare but he knew someone such as Ruka would truly appreciate it. On his way home, he ended up helping an elderly woman across the street as well as helping a young student with the flat tyre on his bike. It was the little things that pushed Shoto to be a hero. People like Kaminari enjoyed the grand gestures but Shoto knew that it was the little things that were just as important.

Getting up from his seat, Denki helped clean up. He looked to Ruka as they wandered over to the exit as Shoto had parted only minutes ago. "Thanks again for hanging out with me." He said to her. "Here's my number." He had scribbled it down on a napkin for her. "You know, in case you want to hang out again. Maybe catch that movie?" He blushed a little and looked off. "A-anyway, if not it's cool. I'll see you later Kurotsuki-san!" He then darted out the door to head back to campus. Upon reaching his dorm, he settled in at his desk and began to research what comic best embodied all the things Ruka liked. Tomorrow morning he'd hit the stores and find the perfect one to enthrall her. No pressure there.

Shota simply nodded his head as he watched Uede walk off to wherever she wished. He glanced over at All Might and finally spoke up, "just now...were you treating Uede as a fan or...?" Though without waiting to hear an answer from All Might, Shota turned around and simply said over his shoulder at the tall hero, "whatever it is...be mindful of who you are and who she is...*yawn*...now excuse me as I go home myself..."stuffing his hands into his black pants pockets, Shota walked off to head home. He was beyond tired from having to not only wake up early to bring the students to the USJ, but to also participate in it...oh fun. Oddly enough, the words he spoke to All Might was also partly for his own sake as well.

He didn't quite understand it, but he knew the things he did for Uede was not something he usually would do for a student no less another person in general. He couldn't quite understand it himself, all Shota knew was that he enjoyed seeing those expressions on Uede's face and that it was amusing. Enough for him to go out of his way to see it...strange. He couldn't help but feel a strange pull towards the brunette...but that also didn't make any sense to the raven head. He knew she was his student yet he did such things like going out to eat lunch or shopping groceries with her...shaking his head, Shota was about to enter his home when he spotted a brown fluff on the front doorsteps to his home. Blinking a few times, Shota registered it to be the kitten he fed the other day...what was it doing here?

Kneeling down, Shota spoke up while petting the little kitten behind the ear, "what are you doing here?...are you hungry again little one?" He stared into the bright green eyes of the kitten as it meowed while rubbing itself against Shota's hand. Shota stared down at the little fluff before letting out a sigh as he picked the small creature up. Placing the kitten in his room, Shota stared at it for a while longer before letting out a sigh. Standing up, he checked his fridge for something to eat when he heard the meow once more. He stared back at the kitten and soon after the door slammed shut as Shota mumbled to the kitten, "stay there and be good...I'll be back."

Stopping by a store, Shota bought some canned cat food along with a few other items. Passing by the instant ramen section, Shota paused as he stared at the packaged noodles as the memory of a certain brunette came to mind. He smirked slightly as he grabbed a pack while mumbling out to himself, "I should get some vegetables..." perhaps it would become a healthy habit of his...one that he won't go telling Uede for sure. After purchasing the items, Shota headed back home where he placed a bright green collar on the neck of the fluffy kitty before giving it some food. Making his own food, Shota stared down at the cat as he scratched the kitten gently, "hmm guess you'll be living here with me...now what to name you..." staring at the cat a while longer, an image of Uede popped up into his mind. An amused look crossed Shota's face before he smirked while saying, "I think I'll name you Mi...heh."

Eating his food, Shota glanced at the pile of papers on the corner of his desk and let out a sigh...right he had work to do...but that can be saved for tomorrow. Petting the now sleeping Mi on his lap, Shota stared up at the ceiling as he murmured out, "maybe I'll take it easy for tonight..." yawning lightly, Shota fell back onto the floor as he closed his eyes. The cleaning and the shower...ah that can wait...but first a nice nap sounded great....

All Might nodded his head as he gave her a thumbs up, "what a great friendship you two share! Such passion! It's great!" All Might waved goodbye to Mela before facing Aizawa-kun. The number one hero looked a bit surprised at his friend and fellow hero's question before All Might can even answer him, Aizawa-kun was already walking away. All Might stared silently at the back of Aizawa-kun's retreating figure. Did he treat Uede Shoujo as a fan just now or what? An inkling of a feeling was felt as All Might knew what Aizawa-kun was implying there. Turning around, All Might took a quick glance about the area, nodding to his head as he noticed the relative peace and happy community as there seemed to be no lurking danger at the moment. Yes, it was moments like these that made All Might happy to be a hero. To see such peace and happiness made him happy in turn.

Staring up at the bright sky, All Might decided it was about time he did some hero work. He's been slacking off the past few days due to having overexerted himself, but once again that was no excuse! A hero never stops being a hero just because of that! No, if anything they should be pushing themselves more and more if that is the case...yet for All Might he couldn't do that. No, he feared showing his true self to the public, he couldn't go shattering the dream and image of peace just like that. For the sake of everyone, All Might will continue to light the flame of hope as the number one hero. With that in mind, he leaped onto a nearby roof and began to jump around the city to make sure everyone was safe and that there were no villains lurking about in the shadows.

As the moonlight began to glow, the large shadow of All Might slowly dissipated as steam began to roll of his once bulky figure. Instead there stood Yagi in his lanky glory as his shoulders drooped while his sunken blue eyes looked more ghastly than usual. He was tired, quite so. He spent all afternoon checking about the city and making sure no one was hurt or in need before ending up with helping with miscellaneous deeds of the civilians. Ranging from gardening to helping a kitten out of a tree to even taking photos with fans, All Might was kept busy until nightfall. Yagi rolled his shoulder as he let out a sigh. He needed something to drink. With that in mind, the now sluggish hero headed off to the nearby convenience store before retiring for the night.

While purchasing a few drinks and snacks, Yagi couldn't help but think back to what Aizawa-kun was asking him earlier this afternoon. Was he treating Uede Shoujo as a fan...or as a student? He was sure that was what Aizawa-kun meant and so Yagi was beyond confused. Why would Aizawa-kun ask such a question? Though to begin with...for reasons unknown to himself, Yagi was slightly bothered by the odd relation Uede Shoujo has with Aizawa-kun. It was clear to him that she saw Aizawa-kun as a hero, much like how she saw him, but there seemed to be something more between them. Did he miss something? The image of the two shopping crossed his mind briefly, but just as quickly Yagi shook the thought away. No no! Why was he thinking of that anyway? It was just his imagination...yes, it was all in his head.

Heading home, Yagi took his time as he enjoyed the cool night breeze. Looking up at the sky, he noticed a few stars were beginning to shine forth and a small smile made way to his lips. Somehow those stars reminded him of the students at U.A...that one day they will become a bright star shining among the evil villains of this world. Yes, he had faith that his students will become the heroes they were meant to be. Pumping his fist into the air, Yagi said to himself, "alright! Time to head home and shower!" He'll worry about the hero stuff tomorrow...maybe. He was quite tired and now his mind was lingering on a certain brown-haired student of his thanks to Aizawa-kun's odd words.

Ruka nodded her head as she made a mental note to herself for Monday. "7:30 by the gates...sure that sounds simple enough." Easy enough that she won't get lost first thing in the morning. Plus that meant she can have breakfast with Mela still...hmm if her friend was awake by then. Ruka knew Mela would often time stay up all night baking and would be quite tired in the morning. Maybe she'll just have to cook some breakfast and leave it for Mela to eat later. Nodding her head, she ordered Todoroki's ice cream, a slightly amused smile dancing on her lips as he mentioned strawberry as well. Blinking over at Todoroki, Ruka shook her head lightly while paying as she said over her shoulder, "there's no need for you to do that Todoroki-san. Think of it as thanks for all that insight you gave me last time." His words definitely left quite the impression on Ruka. Since then she would often find herself reading Persephone's story over and over again.

Ruka smiled over at Denki before taking a bite of her own ice cream, "oh it's no problem Kaminari-san! You did pay for my lunch after all..." she pouted off to the side slightly as she was still a bit bitter about it. She didn't want to seem like she expected others to pay for her, she was more than capable of paying for her own food, but at the same time she knew he was just being nice and so she wouldn't refuse as it would only seem disrespectful. Oh the things her family taught her as she grew up. Happily taking a bite of the ice cream, Ruka let out a happy sigh before taking another bite. She blinked over at Denki as he seemed to be in pain after eating a tad too quickly. Ruka chuckled slightly as she asked him, "are you alright there Kaminari-san?" Her eyes glinted teasingly as she added, "I hope that ice cream cooled you down." She eyed the singed part of his hair as she tried to make light of that incident despite it still causing a painful squeeze to her chest every now and then.

Turning her attention to Todoroki, she nodded her head. He seemed like a really relaxed and mature person for his age though Ruka was sure she couldn't be saying that when she herself was rather quiet for most of the time. "Cleaning is definitely relaxing, yet at the same time it can be so taxing..." she trailed off as she recalled one time walking into Mela's apartment only to find it filled with pots and pans after a night spree of baking. Ruka giggled slightly as she ended up helping Mela out, then again Mela would often times find Ruka's kitchen a mess as well after she would try out a new recipe for dinner. Speaking of dinner...she'll probably go buy some things to cook for tonight.

"Ah me? Hmm..." placing a finger under her chin, Ruka murmured aloud, "well I know I need to buy some groceries, but I'll probably do that on my way home today...I wonder what Mel would want to eat....hmm" blinking a bit, Ruka looked sheepishly as she realized she began to ramble slightly, "ah, I'll probably end up doing some homework and well perhaps shopping..." she glanced down at herself, "I think I need some new clothes..." as she recalled Ochako and Kyouka shopping the other day. Ruka turned her attention to Denki as she giggled slightly, that sounded fun. She tilted her head to the side as she repeated his words, "a sci-fi movie...?" Hmm it sounded interesting and Ruka was into the more action based movies instead of chick flicks. She had her fill of romance and such from her books after all.

After thinking for a while, Ruka nodded her head, "I'll ask Mel if she wants to see it." She thought Mela didn't have enough time to hang out with their classmates yet and knew her friend would want to do something soon enough. This sounded like a good chance so she'll have to ask Mela later for sure. The three continued chatting about little things here and there until soon enough their cold treat was finished. After talking for quite some time, it seemed like it was time for everyone to part ways. Ruka stood up as she waved at Todoroki, "ah nice seeing you around Todoroki-san, I'll see you Monday then." She smiled over at him before beginning to clean up the mess.

As she did so, Denki helped her out, "oh thank you Kaminari-san..." Ruka murmured out, surprised he was still here. She thought he'd be running off to go read comics or hang out with the other guys or something instead of staying back with her. As the two headed out of the cute little store, Ruka stared down at the napkin that he just handed her. There were numbers scribbled on it. Ruka took the piece of paper before looking curiously up at Denki. She blinked in surprise at him before a small smile bloomed on her lips, "ah okay...um thank you and it was really fun! Um...we should hang out again, yeah?" She wasn't really sure why she felt so happy, but she knew it was very fun hanging out with Denki. She waved goodbye to him before heading off to buy some things for dinner.

After shopping, Ruka arrived home and the moment she entered her apartment, Mela entered a bit after. Ruka smiled over at her friend as she noted the baked goods in Mela's hands, moving aside so Mela can enter and place the goodies down on the table. Placing the groceries onto the counter, Ruka hugged Mela quickly before going to change into something more comfortable. It was just a quick change to an oversized hoodie and some shorts. Tying her hair up, Ruka spoke up as she began to get ready to cook dinner for the two, "I'm glad to see you're alive as well Mel." Ruka grinned over at her friend before listening to Mela's story of the day. Hmm...so Aizawa saved Mela? Guess Ruka will have to thank him for that, though at the mention of how he carried Mela, Ruka frowned at her friend, especially upon seeing that face on Mela.

"Hmm so you're telling me that your number one hero is now Aizawa? All Might be heartbroken to hear that Mel." Ruka teased out to Mela as she began to chop up some vegetables. She gave no honorifics to her sensei as she found no need to. The guy didn't deserve it yet, plus he was now on her radar as he seemed quite fond of Mela for some reason. Seems like Ruka will need to have a word with this Erasurehead soon. Though she was glad to hear that lunch went well despite having two polar opposite heroes there. "Hmmm, they gave you their chashus? How kind of them huh. Well, I'm glad you had fun." Ruka smiled as she wondered why they gave Mela their chashus. Does she have to keep an eye on both All Might and Aizawa now? Ruka held back a sigh as she began to fry some seasoned salmon on the pan.

Ruka stiffened slightly when Mela mentioned her assessment with Kaminari. She stared down at the pan before flipping the fish as she spoke, "we did just fine...except for one part..." Ruka glanced up briefly to look at Mela as she explained how she sort of burned a part of Kaminari's hair by accident. "He said it was fine and that it didn't hurt...but you know..." Ruka let out a sigh as she was still not happy about that incident. She needed to find a sure way to keep a firm control over her flames. "I could have made it disperse but I was so panicked that it didn't even cross my mind until it was too late..." Ruka mumbled out as she flipped the salmon a few more times, letting it cook evenly on all sides.

Recalling how Denki saved her, Ruka looked a bit sadder as she then explained that part to Mela, "he even saved me, using his body to shield me and I did that to him in return, I felt so bad Mel." How close they were...Ruka will just let that part slide. Mela doesn't need to know just how embarrassingly close they were. Her cheeks heated up just at the memory of it. Though her expression brightened up as she began to talk to Mela about lunch. Shaking her head lightly, Ruka placed the salmons onto a plate while she cooked the vegetables up, flipping it into the air as she tossed them, "oh no, everyone was either busy with their own things or they were sent to see Recovery Girl so it ended up being just Kaminari-san and me, but that curry house was really good! We should go back there together next time! Oh but I also got ice cream and Todoroki-san was there so we all talked for a bit." Ruka then went on to mention how cute the ice cream store was.

Placing the plates down on the table, Ruka ushered Mela to the table to eat dinner as she spoke up, "oh right, Kaminari-san and I think Kirishima-san are going to go see the new sci-fi movie tomorrow. He was asking if we wanted to come along, did you want to see it, Mel?" Ruka took a bite of her salmon with some rice as she blinked curiously over at Mela. Her eyes narrowed as she questioned her best friend, "it's not like you have a date with sensei or anything like that, right?" She was teasing her, but at the same time, she needed to be sure. "Oh right right, Mel~~~ W Melaanna go shopping for a bit tomorrow?" Ruka pouted as she mumbled, "I think I need new clothes..." and it wasn't everyday Ruka would be the one saying this. "We can catch the movie too if you want?" She smiled over at Mela as the two spent the night away chatting like always. Oh how she wished nights like these can last forever.

"Nooo don't say that." She cried when Ruka teased her about All Might being replaced as a number one hero. "It's like...a tie, okay? I can't pick. Impossible, don't ask me to." She clutched her heart. She had to agree it was quite nice of them both to give up one of the best parts of a bowl of ramen but she wasn't really thinking too much about it. They probably just did it because she was paying or because she had worked do hard at the USJ. Either way, Mela was happy about it but wasn't thinking too much into it. She headed over to look at Ruka as she looked. It seemed like given her reply, her time with Denki hadn't been that great and she was already plotting a means of revenge when Ruka explained it had been her who had lit his hair on fire by accident.

Mela hugged Ruka tightly. "Aww it was just an accident." She pointed out. "No real harm was done plus this is a learning experience for you. Don't be so down about it. You didn't intend to hurt him and you will take steps to ensure it doesn't happen again." Though honestly Mela wasn't feeling too bad for Denki, kind of wishing she had seen him with a smoking head of hair. But he was clearly fine and she hoped Ruka wasn't beating herself up about it. But Mela knew how Ruka felt and that the incident wouldn't be easily forgotten. The best thing Ruka could do was to learn from her mistake and move forward, rather than stay stuck in the past.

So Denki had also saved Ruka? Great. Now she owed him for that. Still, she had to figure the guy was pretty good if he had saved Ruka in a time of need. "I see. I do owe him for that." She pouted slightly, finding it more easy to imagine it the other way around. His body to shield her/ That could mean so many things. Mela gave a slight hum of thought. "He doesn't seem like the guy to linger on such things like hair getting caught on fire, I think he'd also prefer it if you didn't either." She offered Ruka a small smile. As Ruka cooked, flipping the vegetables up, Mela let out an admired awe. She would never be able to do tricks like that, not trusting those veggies to go where they were supposed to. So Mela was always happy to see Ruka do a few neat things like that.

Ruka went on to explain lunch had just been her and mister hot head. Mela glared slightly. These boys were sneaky. Mela stewed in her thoughts, remaining silent as Ruka also said how Todoroki had appeared at the ice cream shop. Him too?! What the hell? There was no way Mela could sit back any longer and let this play out. Mela walked over and sat down with Ruka. "I'm really glad you enjoyed yourself, it sounds like you got to see even more of the city." She smiled, genuinely glad about that fact. But she now had to track down Denki and Shoto and give them a stern talking to. And how did Todoroki even know where Ruka was going to be? Was he stalking her or something?! Mela smiled at the plates. It looked and smelled so so good. "Thanks for dinner!" She spoke up.

As they were about to dig in, Ruka then brought up an offer to go out with the boys. "Oh yes! I'd loooove to go!" She laughed. She did. But she also wanted to make sure Ruka wasn't alone this time. She blushed and waved a hand, "Oh no dates for me tomorrow. I wish though." She assured her friend. "Shopping and a movie sound great to me!" She said. It wasn't often Ruka was in the mood to shop so Mela was going to take advantage of it. But now she'd have to really adjust her budget. She had assumed each month would have a set amount for rent and food and going out. But she hadn't expected to be going out as much as she was. Still, it wasn't an issue, she'd just need to be careful for the next week or two.

In the back of her head, she wondered if this sudden interest in shopping meant Ruka wanted to get something cute to impress Shoto or Denki. Mela went back to eating, hoping that wasn't the reason but something told her it could very well be. Her Ruka was growing up so fast. It broke her heart. "Excellent dinner Ruka." She said as she finished and grabbed the brownies for them to indulge in while they chatted about the day in general and small nonsensical things. It was decided upon that they'd get in touch with Kaminari tomorrow morning to see where and when they would be meeting. Despite her other reasons, Mela was glad to go out and hang with Denki and Eijiro. They seemed like they would be fun to grav drinks with and stir up trouble. Plus Denki might be a fun sucker for target practice.

The next morning, the pair got dressed and agreed to meet the other two downtown by the cinema where they all headed in. Eijiro was friendly as ever and so was Denki. When they sat down for the movie, Mela made sure neither boy was next to Ruka, instead it being Mela who sat next to Ruka and Eijiro, with Denki sitting on the other side of the redhead. Eijiro was so nice to pay for their treats at the movie. He was so sweet. But being the independent women they were, Mela and Ruka did pay for their own tickets. The movie itself was pretty fun, a little scary but plenty of action and adventure. Mela would have liked some romance but the only romance subplot was quickly taken out when the dumb female ended up wandering off, only to get eaten by an alien.

After the movie ended, they all wound up grabbing a quick slice of pizza, trading jokes and stories about their classmates. Soon after the lunch, they all parted ways. Mela hooked her arm in Ruka's as they headed off to hit the department store. Mela was in good spirits, glad to have finally gotten to chat more with Denki. She saw first hand the way he looked to Ruka. Puppy dog eyes. She was hoping to talk to him tomorrow before school since Ruka was going to meet them both to exchange books. At the shops, Mela got a new summer light summer dress for the weekends, as well as a nice straw hat and a cute pair of white shorts. Mela spent most of the late afternoon pushing clothes into Ruka's arms, wanting to dress her up in all of the things.

By the end of the day, both girls were pretty tired and headed home to make something quick before going to bed. Mela hugged Ruka goodnight as she headed into her own apartment, slipping off her sneakers and stepped into her slippers as she padded around the small apartment, wondering what sort of things Aizawa and All Might had been up to. She checked online but it was during that point she fell asleep with her phone resting on her face. A few hours later, she was being woken up by Ruka so they could catch an earlier bus to make it to school by 7:30. Urgh. Mela crawled out of bed and slipped into her blouse, blazer and skirt. She pulled on her socks and slipped on her shoes before stepping out into the Monday. Somehow it feel like yesterday that their first day started and now they already had a week under their belt. Would the rest of the term fly by with such speed?

The girls grabbed a light breakfast at Ruka's before hurrying off to catch the bus. Mela rubbed sleep from her eyes and it was her turn to use Ruka as a comfortable pillow on the way to UA. When nudged awake, she got off with Ruka and a few other first years. Mela was still rubbing her eyes, wishing she had something sweet to wake herself up when she spotted Shoto up ahead, his white and red hair not hard to miss. She patted Ruka on the shoulder. "Oh look, there's one of your boyfriends." She teased Ruka. "What a good boy he is." She stuck her tongue out. "I'll be right back. Gotta find coffee." She then dashed off, having been told by Denki himself that he lived in the dorms, Mela went off to catch him before he caught up with Ruka and Shoto at the gate. She ran around the school and tracked down the blond looking just as tired as she felt. Target acquired.

"Oi, Kaminari-san!" She yelled out. Denki jumped and looked to the source and saw a very serious looking Uede coming towards him. He jumped slightly as she grabbed onto his blazer and pulled him off into a small part of the campus where there were vending machines and benches. A quiet alcove of the school. "You saved Ruka-chan huh?" She folded her arms, eyeing him. "I owe you my life for that."

"Y-your life?"

"Yes. Ruka-chan is very important to me and you saved her. To what extent I do not know but it doesn't matter." Mela said sternly, no smile present at this time. "So I will grant you one favor or these set of notes. I made a copy and wrote down extra bits for you as I assumed you needed extra background information. They are quite detailed and should be what you're looking for." Despite attending UA for far longer, she assumed Denki wasn't as aware of the general education stuff as she and Ruka were, given their grades compared to Kaminari's. She pulled out said copy of notes and held them out to her. He quickly grabbed them. "Silly boy." She said playfully, a smile creeping to her face. "You fell for the notes huh? You should have gone for the favor and asked me to help you come midterms or finals. I would have given you notes for everything up to that point." She teased. "Oh well, too late." She smiled and waved at him. "Oh, and thanks...by the way. For helping Ruka-chan and being so nice to her." She needed more friends but did they have to be two cute teenage boys?

"If you do anything to hurt her, I will hurt you far worse and it would be my pleasure to do so hahaha! By the way she's at the gate with Todoroki-san, you best not be any later than you already are." She then watched as Denki ran up ahead to go meet up with Ruka. Mela turned and pulled out some yen and inserted them into the machine, getting a can of coffee with milk and sugar. Perfection. Mela cracked it open and took a sip. She used her phone to check the time and made a face. The brunette decided to give Ruka the rest of the morning with her two possible suitors so Mela made her way inside. On her way to class, she ran into Uraraka-san and the two talked about teaming up at some point, given it might be fun to see them use their quirks together. It was an interesting proposition.

Then Midoriya appeared and Uraraka went off with him, giggling. Mela rubbed her neck, wondering if those two were together or something. She finished her can of coffee and tossed it away, She looked down at the courtyard from the window of the hallway, wishing she could see what was going on with Ruka, Shoto and Denki. She got the feeling Ruka wasn't telling her some things because she didn't want Mela to bother the boys. But limited information wasn't going to deter her by any means. If anything it made her all the more eager to find everything out herself. Turning around, she leaned against the window, sighing. Maybe she was just being overprotective of Ruka? Maybe she needed to let this play out? Pressing her clenched fist to her mouth, she tried to see if she could give Todoroki and Kaminari some slack but her gut kept telling her teenage boys just couldn't be trusted!

Denki kept repeating what it was Ruka enjoyed: action, mystery, heroism and myth. Hmm. It was a tall order but Denki poured over the internet, making sure what he bought for her would be right in her wheelhouse. And if she liked this selection then she might be open to trying other ones. Denki felt this was the most important mission of his life! Piichi ended up wandering over from the bed, jumping up to sit atop his head. Denki reached up and patted the small bundle of fur. After finding a few comics that might entice the pink haired classmate, Denki plucked the kitten from his head and went off to take a quick shower before bed. He got into a pair of black cotton shorts and turned the lights out. He thought about the day had gone. He had done well with Kurotsuki overall but he could tell there were things he needed to work on. Like strength for example.

He also needed to work on his communication skills perhaps. Still, he thought the overall exercise had gone really well. He scratched his cheek with his finger thoughtfully as Piichi nestled between his legs on top of the covers. Denki closed his eyes as he thought about why he was so enamored with Ruka. It hadn't just been seeing her quirk that had caught his eye, nor her striking hair. No. There was more to it than that. She was complicated and interesting. Fun and thoughtful. She was smart and Denki had hoped to get to know her as a friend if nothing else but then Todoroki had to come into the mix and it threw Denki for a loop. He shifted in his bed, knowing he had to just take things slow and not get too ahead of himself. Besides all the girls he had pursued had all pretty much laughed at his face.

In his mind, Denki was quite the smooth talker but he didn't want to add Ruka to the list of painful rejections. Yawning, he decided to just let things progress naturally. But he was also hopeful. She had taken his number without cringing or scoffing so that was a good sign right? Plus they had held hands and shared a hug. As far as he was concerned, that was progress. But he didn't want to be too pushy. Shoto was some unwanted competition but Denki told himself to be careful and not go too crazy. Heh. Falling asleep, he had to hope Kurotsuki did call him and accept his offer. He hadn't gotten a chance to really give Eijiro a heads up about the possibility of one or two lovely ladies joining them but he was sure his friend wouldn't mind.

The following morning, Denki got up earlier than usual and got dressed. He hurried downtown and found the three comic books Ruka might enjoy. Three different series which meant one of them had to stand out to her. He then headed back to UA when his phone rang. It was Ruka! She explained she and Mela would be very interested in hanging out. Denki told them the movie time and where it was. He then banged on Eijiro's door almost as if there was a fire. Eijiro opened it by landing a smack to the guy's head. "We gotta get ready, the girls are gonna meet us in two hours!" Denki announced. "This is gonna be so great!" Denki went onto to scheme while Eijiro stood in the doorway of his own dorm, still just wearing his boxers. He flashed a good morning grin to Deku who was passing through the hall, cola in hand. Then Eijiro promptly slammed the door in Denki's face, almost cutting off the blond's toes in the process.

Both boys got ready in jeans and tee shirts, both early enough to the cinema so they could flag down the girls when they spotted them. Denki was hoping to give Ruka her comics now but he decided against it, waiting until tomorrow at school to really woo her. Eijiro did his best to manage Denki's expectations of the day. They all bought their tickets. Denki tried to pay for the girls but neither were budging on the matter. Fine fine. Eijiro then swept in and paid for their candy, Mela got quite a bit of it in fact, leaving Denki feeling quite left out. Still, Denki headed down the row aiming to sit right next to Ruka and maybe hold her hand if there were any jump scares or anything like that. But then he felt Mela push him into a seat and he felt he couldn't really make a scene and argue in public. Still, Denki leaned over and flashed a thumbs up to Ruka and Mela, still very glad to be out with them.

After the movie finished, they all went out for pizza and discussed it. It was a fun time and Denki was happy just glad they were all getting along so well. When the girls left, Eijiro looped an arm around Denki's neck. "That was almost like a double date, doncha think?" Eijiro commented. Denki coughed and blushed. "Haha nah, we were just friends hanging out." Denki shrugged, pushing his friend off of him as they went to go to the arcade for a bit. Eijiro could tell his friend had wished it had been some kind of double date thing but had to also hope Denki was managing his own expectations. Eijiro had long since been the one to be a shoulder for the blond to cry on and as his friend, it pained him to see Denki fall so hard and get his heart broken.

That night, Denki worked on his homework, though found it a struggle. He was curious as to what Todoroki would bring Ruka tomorrow. What book could it be? Hopefully not some romantic book. Denki didn't think his comics could really compete with that. Still, he had to hope Shoto wound up oversleeping. Come the next morning, it was Shoto who ended up oversleeping. He grabbed his comics, waved to Piichi before he ran down the hallway and the stairs. He was on his way to the entrance when he heard someone bark out to him. He jumped and saw Uede-san coming right for him. And Yikes, she looked oddly serious. He looked around, hoping there were wittness around. But she beckoned him into a small pocket of UA and began to express how grateful she was. Really? That was her grateful face?

Suddenly a choice was presented to him. A favor or notes? He looked to the notes and snatched them up. Of course he needed her notes! She was a lifesaver! His face fell as she explained he could have gotten a better deal if he had just thought ahead. "Oh wait, I c-change my mind!" He moaned. Denki sighed as he looked at his notes, feeling quite stupid. Mela then reminded him of someplace he had to be. "Oh right! Bye!" He ran off to the gate, careful not to run into anyone else who would like to corner him. Him saving Ruka as really no big deal though. He did what any hero would have done in that moment. He shuddered to think how her reaction would have been if he hadn't saved Ruka.

Spotting Shoto and Ruka, he waved and finished jogging over to them. "Sorry I'm a little late." He bowed his head while trying to catch his breath. He didn't think he would be able to explain it was a combination of sleeping through his phone's alarm and Uede thanking him for the events on Saturday. He thought about what else she had said and threatened against him. He looked to Ruka, almost too nervous to stand so close to her if it meant Mela was watching. He looked around but didn't see her. But she was probably in the trees or something. Watching and waiting. He then pulled out the three comic books from his bag, also putting away the notes belonging to Mela.

"I think these might be up your alley." He said, holding them out to Ruka. Shoto arched a brow. Ah, yes comic books. "The first one is called Indulgent Truth. It's about a young woman who is searching for her long lost sister. She travels through time to do so." He explained. "The second one is about a guy who runs through this old city but he's clearly out of place and he's trying to figure out how he got there and where home is for him." He said. "And the last one takes inspiration from Greek mythology and it has a bunch of these creatures and animals in it. They're pretty much visualizations of myths I think?" He hadn't read them all yet but had reads bits of each of them. "You can keep them if you want too." He offered to her with a smile.

Hearing this, Shoto was satisfied with the morning and told Ruka he'd meet her in class in about twenty or so. He needn't know about whatever book she was going to let him burrow and attempt to read. He headed off towards the main building. Denki looked back to Ruka, still feeling back he was about five minutes late. That was five minutes more Shoto got with her. "So another week at UA huh? I hope it's a little less hectic than the last." He commented. "Yesterday was really nice. I think Kirishima-san enjoyed you and Uede-san's company. We'll have to do that again." He suggested."Should we head towards class?" He asked her as he began to walk, they had some time before class started. Since he lived so close, he rarely had to be up so early. This was a little new to the slacker. "By the way um thank Uede-san for her notes, I think she was feeling generous after I'm guessing you mentioned me saving you." He rubbed his neck a little, not going to mention anything else regarding their chat. "We should all study together at my place this week sometime. You never know when Aizawa-sensei may throw another curveball our way."

Meanwhile, Shoto's Sunday had been quite quiet. He had done a fair amount of cleaning and cooking but the tasks weren't really beneath him in his mind. He ended up paying his mother a visit that night and told her how he had met a new transfer student, Kurotsuki-san, and how they had a lot in common. His mother was glad to hear it. Shoto seldom showed interest in women and for a while, she was a little curious if he would show interest in others, like perhaps Midoriya or Kirishima, people his mother knew well thanks to the stories and visits.

It was true, Shoto didn't actively pursue women the same way Kaminari did. But he was interested in them. He just didn't know how to approach them. His mother tried to offer her encouragement and advice but Shoto had to think he was reserved because he didn't want the same kind of unhappy marriage his parents had. He didn't have a set example on how to best treat women. He knew whatever his father did was not the way to treat someone you loved though Shoto was sure his father didn't even love his mother. She was a means to an end.

His mother told him to just go at his own pace and to also be respectful of Kurotsuki and her own wishes. Shoto went home that night and packaged the book he as lending her, in a red and pink checkered cloth, tying it nearly so it would be safe but also nicely presented. Shoto then went to bed early and found himself getting up in time to catch the necessary bus to make it to school. Since he was coming from another direction, he didn't run into Uede nor Kurotsuki or many other UA kids for that matter. That was fine with the boy as it gave him time to go over the notes from last week, always assuming the teachers were going to surprise them with a pop quiz.

Better to be prepared than not, he figured. Once off the bus, he checked his phone and saw he had a few minutes before he was to expect the girl. He stood by the entrance of the school and eyes the flowers around him. A few others were doing the same. He noted a couple on a bench, making out, blissfully unaware of the beautiful world around them. He looked off, not wanting to just stare at them. Shoto turned when he saw Ruka and Mela though Mela seemed eager to leave them alone. He opened his mouth to greet her but she ran off giggling. Shoto approached Ruka and bowed. "Good morning, Kurotsuki-san. Thank you for agreeing to meet with me this morning." He said, understanding she may have other things she would like to do.

Removing his book, he handed it to her. "I believe you may enjoy this. Take as much time as you'd like in going over it." He assured her with a warm smile. "And if it's not to your liking, I have a few other selections at home that would prove useful I hope." Shoto explained. He was also working on a poem for her but he wouldn't tell her that yet. She expressed interest in being open to exchanging their works but he wanted to give something to her but it had to be perfect. Shoto then accepted her own book she was willing to let him take a look at and read over. He bowed his head in thanks and put it in his bag for safe keeping. "I'm surprised Kaminari-san is so late." But it wasn't really that much of a surprise. Shoto glanced off toward the school, knowing he'd like to go check out a book from the library and would prefer to d it before class, when it wasn't as inundated with students. Suddenly Denki appeared and Shoto arched a brow, simply content to watch.

When the boy had finished his presentation, Shoto looked back to Ruka. "Thank you again for the book. I'll be sure to take the utmost care of it. See you in class." Shoto said, giving Denki a small shake of his head before he headed off to the large library on the 20th floor. Making quick time, Shoto exited the elevator, thinking back to how he had seen Ruka closely the first day in that very elevator. He found a smile tug at his lips as he went to the self-help section and sneakily found one on romance. The boy shuffled over to check it out, before hiding it in his bag, hoping no one saw him. He passed a few second year females who waved and giggled but he just gave them a cold stare before he headed down to the sixth floor, trying not to think about the likelihood of Ruka preferring comics to emotional poetry.

Sunday, the one day out of the week where Shota didn't have to go to school and be a teacher, where he didn't have responsibilities to worry over. But of course, as an adult and a pro hero, his work never ends. As he ended up being quite the sleepy guy for the remainder of Saturday, Shota found himself having to work double today due to that. He held back a grumble as he cleaned up the house first thing he woke up with a ball of fur sleeping soundly on his bed and after that, he needed to go and buy some things...specifically for little Mi over there. Shota stared over at Mi in silent thought, how did this even end up happening? Sure he fed the kitten once, but then it ended up at his doorstep the other day and now this....shaking his head, Shota resumed cleaning the house before leaving to buy some stuff.

As he was walking down the streets, clad in his usual gear, Shota couldn't help but wander back to Uede, another brunette that seemed to have a knack at jumping into his life. He wondered what the odd hyper girl was doing today. He smirked slightly as he can imagine her slacking off from actual work to doing something else like hanging out with Kurotsuki. Speaking of which...Shota recalled seeing their last names somewhere when he was reading over their files. He recalled the Kurotsuki family having a background in something traditional related and Uede as well, but to think those two high-class families would allow their daughters to enter U.A. to become pro-heroes? Somehow that seemed unlikely, another question he'll save to ask Uede some other time. But when would he ever ask her these things...?

As he entered the pet store, Shota had to do his best to not let his eyes wander to the section where the kittens were at. Ignoring the small little meows, Shota looked for some beds and a few other items. After leaving the store with a rather large bag in his hand, Shota went home where he was greeted by a hungry Mi. He stared down at the kitten, a small smile gracing his lips as he then gave Mi some food before eating lunch himself. The rest of Sunday went by rather quickly as Shota found it to be quite the bore. He ended up cooped up in his house, grading papers and looking over each student's charts. After these assessments, Shota found he needed to upgrade each student's progress chart and that was a pain to do. Holding back yet another sigh, Shota scratched the back of Mi's ear as the kitten was nestled up in Shota's lap as he worked. He then had to do a quick round around the neighborhood during the night since he slacked off yesterday...he could already tell how little sleep he would be getting today.

Come the next morning, Shota found himself yawning as he left for school early morning. Every Monday the teachers' met up early so as to have a meeting for the week. Holding a few folders in his arm, Shota grumbled under his breath of how it was too damn early. He was not ready for the meeting as he knew that meant listening to Hizashi's way too loud voice and urgh...no, too early. As he was walking down the halls, Shota spotted a familiar head of brown hair up ahead. He blinked a few times as he wondered why he kept running into her. Ah, well...it wasn't a bad thing he supposed. Walking up to stand behind her, Shota lightly bopped her head with his folder as he spoke up, "I'm not sure if eating your fist is a good breakfast..." he looked down at her slightly amused at how she had her fist against her mouth, almost ready to eat it. Coming to a stand next to her, Shota looked out the window, wondering what she was so focused on.

He spoke up, "are you sure you should be this relaxed early this morning? Who knows, there might be a pop quiz now..." he smirked lightly down at her before walking off with a wave of his hand, "don't be late to class...and don't go causing trouble Uede." A small smirk tugged at his lips as he found this morning to not be as bad. Now he just had to get through the morning meeting and honestly it didn't feel as bad now...."SHOTAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! GOOD MORNING!" or not.

Come Monday morning, it was relatively easy for the tall blonde to wake up. As Yagi stretched in his bed, he looked over to see that today was Monday which also meant a meeting among the teachers. Standing up, Yagi ate a quick breakfast before heading off to school. Today he decided to wear a dress shirt and a pair of navy slacks. As much as he'd like to go more casual, he felt that this was the most appropriate way to dress. Walking down the halls, greeting the early riser students, Yagi turned around the corner only to once again retreat to it. He peered out slowly as he spotted Aizawa-kun with Uede Shoujo...again. What was going on!? What was he saying? Curious, Yagi leaned forward to get a good ear in, only to fail miserably. Soon enough Aizawa-kun was walking away and so Yagi walked out....but this time as All Might.

A large smile was on his lips as he lightly patted Uede's shoulder while saying, "good morning there Uede Shoujo! Nothing beats waking up early to watch the morning sky! Am I right?!" He looked out the window and noted that the flowers needed to be watered again. Instead of being told to do so, All Might figured he might as well do that himself. "Today is another good day...let's both do our best, alright Uede Shoujo?" With a slight wave, All Might was seen rushing down the halls as he realized he spent too much time staring out the window with Uede Shoujo and now he's late. As soon as he entered the meeting room, the meeting commenced. Fortunately, there was nothing really new and so the meeting ended rather quickly. Perhaps the only notable thing mentioned was a partner pairing for the Heroics course students so as to get a better grip on their quirks by pairing them with similar quirks? Well, that certainly did sound interesting. Now all that's left is for them to see where and when this would take place.

Once the meeting was over, Yagi was seen getting changed into his 'janitor' outfit as he headed down to water the plants. It was still early, but he wanted to water the poor little plants. Aizawa-kun watched in amusement before heading off to class. It was a rare sight to see Aizawa-kun heading to class early or rather on time. Yagi couldn't help but wonder if it was due to a certain brunette that he was so eager to get to class. Holding back from following Aizawa-kun and attending class as well, Yagi headed down towards the courtyards to water the plants.

As Shota entered the classroom, he spoke up, "Alright, first things first..." he glanced over at the class as they seemed rather rigid before smirked slightly, "here are your grades for the two assessments...and then these are your progress charts. Too bad, everyone will get to see your scores as it is a good learning experience for everyone." With that said, Shota pulled up the slides where each students name and grades were shown on the board before he went on to show everyone their progress so far compared to last year's charts. Of course, that also meant Uede and Kurotsuki whom he has gotten from their previous school.

Ruka was glad Mela had a good lunch with the two teachers though next time...Ruka may just have to join them. She needed to see these things first hand so she can tell if they actually were meaning it or if there was an underlying meaning. But then again, Ruka wasn't the brightest in the romance aspect as she never really found herself falling for anyone. Maybe it was more of her creating a wall so as to not ever cross it herself. The wall between her and well romance really. Ruka was plenty full by reading romantic novels as that was more than enough for her that and listening to Mela's stories was always fun too. Ruka was always there if Mela ever fell for someone new and that was when she noticed a trend of older males for Mela's taste. Something which Ruka was concerned about, but hey, if older men made Mela happy then Ruka won't go fighting it. Speaking of which, Ruka never really put much thought into her own tastes. Perhaps Mela may have already noticed it for her? Ruka will need to ask her one of these days.

After agreeing to go out tomorrow to shop and watch a movie, Ruka went to sleep. She was a bit restless as she couldn't shake away the feeling when her flames left her body only to hurt someone else. It wasn't a villain, but her own comrade and friend that just made things a bit more painful for Ruka's end. She knew what both Mela and Denki were saying was right...yet she could never forgive herself. It was just another sin added to her pile in her heart. She closed her eyes as she fell asleep only to dream of that very day where her quirk was awakened. Her mother was seen smiling down as she praised Ruka, yet why did it feel so forced? Why was her mother looking so...sad? It hurt Ruka to see her beautiful mother so sad, yet she never found the courage to ask her why. It was until the time she showed her new found quirk to her father that she learned why. She can vividly recall that night when her father was yelling at mother for Ruka inheriting that man's quirk...what does that even mean?

Eyes snapping open in a panic, Ruka hugged herself tightly as she willed the next set of images to go away. She did not need to recall the moment she hurt her mother...why of all dreams was it that one? Letting out a sigh she glanced at the clock before getting up. She might as well make breakfast now that she can't go back to sleep. That Sunday was spent rather well despite her rough wake up. As Ruka ate breakfast, she made sure to give Kaminari a call about later that afternoon that she and Mela would love to join him and Kirishima for the movie. So once the pair left, Ruka greeted Kaminari and Kirishima with a smile as the four entered the theaters. Ruka politely declined Kaminari's kind gesture of buying her ticket as she bought her own, but she allowed herself to get some sweets as Kirishima offered so kindly. Overall the movie was interesting and it did make Ruka jump here and there, but it was quite alright since she just grabbed onto Mela's hand and at one point she just hid her face into the crook of Mela's neck. Good thing Mela was used to these things by now.

After the movie the four decided to get some food and Ruka had quite the fun until they parted ways and Ruka found herself being tossed clothes left and right, trying on one after the other as Mela had her fill of shopping fun. Yes, Ruka was the one who wanted new clothes, but somehow it ended up with her trying on various different clothes. She picked out a few cute dresses and of course her favorite sweaters and shorts. She halted for a moment as she picked up a cute skirt as she wondered how Todoroki would think of this. Somehow it seemed to suit Todoroki's taste and that was when Ruka found herself shaking her head as she ended up purchasing said skirt before finding herself questioning once more, but this time if Kaminari would find these shorts cute. Ruka was seen face palming herself as she berated herself for thinking such things. Honestly it wasn't like she was buying these to impress someone! Shaking her head, Ruka bought her new clothes before heading home with Mela. The two had a relaxing night and soon it was Monday morning, oh how the weekend flies by.

As Ruka woke up early so as to go and meet Shoto and Denki, Ruka dragged Mela with her as the pair headed off to U.A. Since it was still rather early, not many students could be seen walking about. Walking towards the gates, Ruka spotted Todoroki up ahead, she glanced over at Mela but before Ruka can even get out a complaint, the bruntte was seen rushing off. Ruka sighed as she shook her head. She'll hound Mela down later during lunch she supposed. Walking up to Todoroki, Ruka gave him a small wave as she greeted him, "good morning Todoroki-san. I hope you had a nice Sunday." She shook her hand as she said, "oh no, the pleasure is all mine. If anything sorry for making you wake up this early...ah here is the book I was thinking you might like. It's one of my favorite series, I do hope it's to your liking." Ruka handed him a small bag with a book in it that she thought she might share with Todoroki. If he liked the series, then great! If not, then she'll have to apologize for wasting his time.

Taking the book from him, Ruka smiled over at him, "thank you very much! I'll be sure to read this later and I'll let you know! Oh you're right...maybe he overslept...?" Just then Kaminari came in with a rush. Ruka held back a slight giggle as she greeted the blonde, "good morning to you too, are you okay Kaminari-san?" Ruka grinned over at the blonde, eagerly taking the comics as she looked over it in slight awe. She never really had comics before so that'll be fun and new, maybe Mela would like to read some as well. "Thank you! I'll let you know then Kaminari-san." She waved bye to Shoto who left for class. Turning to Kaminari, Ruka nodded her head as she followed him to class, "oh right, here you go Kaminari-san, I hope this is to your liking." She handed Kaminari the book she promised to lend him with a small smile.

As they arrived to class, the lectures began like always with a little announcement by Aizawa-sensei first. Ruka stared at the bored in curiosity as she wondered how she has done so far and it seems like they get to see their charts as well? Well, that certainly made her nervous as she wondered how everyone will take to her scores. So far Ruka has done quite well in both assessments thankfully and when Aizawa came upon her slide of showing her charts, Ruka averted her gaze. Overall her stats were good, her intelligence and power were the highest while her reactions and defenses were slightly lower. It was a bit unnerving to see how high her power stats were. It actually made her a bit uncomfortable as she wondered how the rest of the class would react to that. If anything her power level was rivaling that of Bakugou and Todoroki's. She could feel Bakugou's sudden glare on her and Ruka was more than glad to give him one back, though her's was a bit more of a taunting smirk. But what reason did he have to show them this? There must be something up.

Her thoughts of concern were rudely interrupted by a certain homeroom teacher hitting her on the head lightly. She let out a small sigh, mixed with both surprise and mild annoyance, a light blush crossing her face. Mela hadn't even noticed him approach let alone move up to stand beside her! Normally she would have said something to the effect of her fist coming into contact with his face instead but she couldn't summon those words. Not given her thoughts of worry. Had her warning been enough to dissuade Denki? Should she have even confronted him at all? Ruka didn't have a lot of romantic experience and sooner or later, Mela would have to let her go and figure out what love was all about. What about Shoto? Could she really trust two strangers to not make a mess of Ruka's heart? What was the right thing to do as Ruka's friend, nay, best friend?

She eyed Aizawa sideways as she sank her teeth into her fingers, trying to think a little harder. Affairs of the heart were nothing Aizawa-sensei would have any idea about. No use asking him for advice on these matters so she just give him a scowl and waved him off with her hand. "I-I don't cause any trouble!" She shook a fist at him as he departed. "Gee...I hope there isn't a pop quiz." She muttered, only adding to her mountain of worry and doubt. Still, it was nice of him to come up and bother her. Sort of. She liked to think maybe he had missed her yesterday? dropping her hand, she decided there was no use worrying about the future. Nothing had even happened. Maybe Shoto and Denki wouldn't do anything, or maybe they'd be super nice and treat her well?

It was obvious they had more than just exams to worry about at their new school. Who knew romance would be added to the mix? At least with All Might, she was able to put on more of an expected smile, albeit a bit amused more than actually cheerful. It didn't surprise her to note All Might was a morning person. "Well I mean, I could think a few other things." She started to say. Maybe waking up to cinnamon rolls or a good breakfast or a cute guy perhaps. The sky itself a bit too much of a blank canvas for her but it did mean a new day of opportunities. His cheerful nature did rub off on her though as she finally gave him an actual smile, "Right, will do!" She nodded as he then ran off, leaving quite a gust of wind behind him. Mela almost toppled over and shook her head, feeling a bit better at least. She would never ceased to be amazed by All Might.

Getting to class, she sat down and greeted a few others, flashing a wave to Ruka before Aizawa showed up, beginning to discuss how they had finally gotten their grades and progress reports back. A new knots formed in her stomach. Just when she was finally starting to feel better. Aizawa was like a black cloud. She rubbed her head, not thinking she had done all that well considering she had to use outside means to get the job done, and not much of her quirk was really exercised. Mela was ranked 9'th out of the 19 of them. So she was a little bit higher than in the middle pack though it seemed Ruka was one or two spots above her, which Mela was proud of. Go Ruka!

When Aizawa-sensei made his rounds, Mela nervously fidgeted. She wasn't too confident but she also thought these rankings could easily change and improve over time. So no matter what was what, she would do better. Heroes didn't just settle. She noted her intelligence as well as reactions were rather high, leaving her power and defense pretty low. She made slight pout and glanced up to Aziawa. It was about what she expected. Though it seemed her reactions were in the top ranked of the other students which was good. She brushed some of her hair behind her ear as Aizawa moved on to the others, Bakugo seemed like he was ranked very well overall but probably didn't like Ruka coming in with her immense power. If Bakugo was a little nicer, she might feel a little bad. But she didn't.

Her weakest area had to be strength. Sure she could throw a punch or two but there wasn't much behind it. And close combat wasn't something she really enjoyed, mostly because she couldn't really counter or block what was coming after her. She always just did a backflip to get away from all the action. People like All Might and Deku and Eijiro would shine in close combat. Mela didn't think it was too bad to be more into distance fighting but a hero had to do it all right? Slouching in her seat, she thought it might be possible to see if All Might had any advice to get stronger. Hopefully it wasn't too much work.

It would be a long wait to hear back from Ruka when it came to getting feedback from Ruka regarding the comic books. He really hoped she liked them. But he didn't know if she would. He wouldn't blame her if she didn't though. He'd just try again and do some more research. He was totally fine with trying a few other series. Everyone was different after all. He knew if Ruka was new to comics and manga, she might not even like them. But he hoped she did. The pictures and plots were always top notch and he was hoping they were a good place for he to get lost in. The best case scenario would be getting to just read comics with Ruka and hang out together.

Once in his seat, he pulled out the notes Mela had lent him, almost expecting to see blank pages and wrong information but they looked pretty much perfect. He still thought a study session would be good to have though he wasn't sure if Mela or Ruka would be interested. Maybe if he got a few other people like Tenya and Momo? Denki decided to give it more thought but he sure as hell wasn't going to invite Shoto. No way. He didn't need that guy getting in the way. He still couldn't believe Ruka had paid for his ice cream too! Ruka was just too generous.

As class began, he half-listened as he heard snippets. Something about something. Something about their reports or grades? Denki felt pretty good about how he and Ruka had done so he was not worried in the slightest. But when he saw the whole class ranking, he made a slight noise. He was ranked 10'th?! Probably due to his poor test exams but still it was clear he had made strides in both last Monday's drill and Saturdays. He looked to Ruka and offered her a thumbs up, impressed by her own higher standing. He could see Bakugo and Todoroki were now having to watch their backs a little. Heheheh. Denki ran a hand through his hair as he saw a few others look a bit unhappy with the charts Aizawa was personally showing everyone.

Giving his stingy teacher a rather innocent looking smile, Denki knew he would do better. And with notes from Mela and help from Ruka, he thought he'd be just fine. He twiddled his thumbs and wondered what these day to do with anything. Beside Ruka, Shoto was feeling about the same. His class ranking was a bit higher than Ruka but he had worked hard to achieve it. He was in the top three but he had a feeling come midterms, Ruka and Mela could very well move up a few rankings. He could feel the heat radiating off of Bakugo as he stewed in his own anger. he was still in fourth but his power was now being threatened with Kurotsuki's arrival. Shoto smirked lightly as he leaned over to loudly congratulate Ruka on her success. "Well done, Kurotsuki-san." He said, eyeing Bakugo. "You're fitting in quite well already it seems."

Shoto knew his father wanted him to be ranked number one though and he was sure these results would only agner him. If Shoto was to eventually become a pro hero and dethrone All Might, he had to do better. But Shoto was fine with not being the best. In his mind, he was in a good spot and doing well. He didn't see the need to push himself past the point of mental and physical exertion. His mother tried to assure him that he needed to live a little, enjoy what moments of childhood he had left. He glanced back to Ruka and found himself smiling at her. If he were to slow down a little, he decided it would have to be someone such as her. Ruka's company was quite nice and he wouldn't mind shirking extra chores if it meant walking in a nice park, discussing literature with Kurotsuki.

Already his mind was trying to connect these new facts with what the main lesson would be for today or this week. Glancing back down to his notebook, he made a few notes regarding any notable changes in his peers. He made notes to keep an eye on Uede, her reactions were quick and often precise, not to mention she seemed to be a ball of energy. And Ruka's power was also something to watch out for. He would like to see her quirk up close. He also was interested in seeing how her quirk would react against that of his ice quirk. He wondered if her fire was any different than the flames that bound his soul together. Shoto sat back comfortably, thinking about what Ruka had lent him. Come lunch, he'd likely head up to the library to start reading, his nagging curiosity speaking to him far more loudly and clearer than any pangs of hunger. "I wonder where he's going with all of this." He muttered, mostly to himself but it was possible Ruka could have overheard him.

Suddenly Denki's arm shot up as if hit by a lightning bolt.

"When do we get a chance for extra credit?!"

"It's only the second week, Kaminari-san!" Uraraka laughed, as did the rest of the class.

"Are these rankings for our own edification or are we going to do something with them?" Tenya inquired. Mela's heart sank, getting a bad feeling about this whole wave of new information. She thought back to Aizawa-sensei, he had been rather excited for class, in his own weird way. Denki folded his arms, not sure why it mattered if it was their second week or their tenth week. He wanted to improve already. He was fired up! He didn't know why it was so wrong to ask now, rather than wait. In his mind, he had initiative.

AiAi AiAi

The morning meeting was a bit rough...sure he was a bit more energized due to seeing Uede, feisty as always though it seemed like the brunette was lost in thought. Shota will have to check later and make sure she is still normal, what if it was due to her hitting her head during Saturday's class? Though of course, that was just an excuse, one that Shota will use without any shame. He shook his head slightly to get the ringing out of his ears as Hizashi would not stop yelling into his ears...honestly sometimes he wished he can just take away Present Mic's speakers, but even when he canceled the blonde's quirk, Hizashi would still be loud. Throughout the years of knowing Hizashi, Shota has learned that the blonde just has a loud voice...quirk or no quirk.

As he entered class 3-A, Shota began by showing the class their grades and charts overall. He could see everyone's reaction and honestly, he wasn't surprised by any. After finishing showing everyone's charts, Shota gave them some time to think things through and well let it sink in. He watched for any questions or reactions and sure enough several hands went up, though to his surprise the first was from Kaminari. He blinked a few times as he gave a bored look to the blonde as he said, "Kaminari, it's only been a week since school started....do you really think I'll be giving out extra credits?" Honestly, Shota would just give a point here and there if he thought the student worked hard in it. He never told them of course, but impressions were important. And extra credit was something that depended on how he felt at that moment...doing extra credit meant doing more paperwork, something that Shota was not fond of.

Hearing Iida's question, Shota was soon smirking deviously at his students as he spoke up, "you're right, there is a reason as to why I showed this to everyone..." he paused for a moment as he went back to each student's chart, "Midoriya, your strength is progressing smoothly, but your control and your lack of reaction is well...lacking." Izuku rubbed the back of his head sheepishly as he had nothing to say against that. Shota continued onwards, pointing out a problem here and there for each student. Turning his attention to Kurotsuki next, "Kurotsuki, your offensive power is rivaling that of Bakugou and Todoroki, impressive, but your control and defense is weak." He stared over at the pinkette who seemingly was unphased as she looked disinterestedly over at Shota. He lifted a brow at this, did he do something to warrant such a look from the pinkette? He can only assume one reason..turning towards Uede, he spoke up while keeping an eye on Kurotsuki's reaction. "Uede, you have good reaction to most things, but your strength is lacking. I'm guessing physical combat is not your favorite?" Shota lifted a brow as he looked at Uede, a slight smirk tugging at his lips.

Turning his attention back to the entire class, Shota continued with his explanations, "to make it short, you guys are still lacking in many areas and so to improve, we're going to be splitting into pairs to work on each individuals weak points...I already made a pair for everyone so don't go looking for partners on your own...thats not the point of this exercise." Shota eyed Kaminari and a few others who were already looking for a good partner. Sighing, Shota continued speaking, "we're going to keep at this for a few months actually, but each week you will be getting a different partner. So for this week the partners are: Iida and Uede, Iida you will work on your offense while Uede you'll work on your defense while both working at your reflexes....Bakugou and..." everyone held their breaths as they wondered who the poor soul would be, "Kurotsuki....Bakugou you'll work on fighting against a similar quirk while Kurotsuki, you'll be working on your defense." And so Shota continued listing each pair while explaining what they will be working on. Once done with that, Shota left the class with one final reminder, "be sure to come to the training field, our afternoon lessons will be there." With that Shota was done for the morning until come after lunchtime...for now, he can sleep....hopefully.

Yagi let out a sigh as he wiped some sweat off his brows. He had been working on watering the plants since the morning and he just finished and it seemed like it was a good time for the lunch bell soon rang, signaling the start of lunch break for everyone. Letting out a sigh, Yagi sat underneath a shade of a large cherry blossom tree as he was too tired to even get lunch. He forgot to make lunch, he might just have to forgo without lunch, a shame really. Closing his eyes, Yagi enjoyed the cool breeze as he just enjoyed his time. In this form, no student ever approached him, after all, he wasn't some hero looking like this.

Ruka blinked a bit as she noticed she was ranked 7th in the class. She was shy two spots from being in the top five and she just transferred here...Ruka could feel several pair of eyes on her as she kept her eyes on the board. She understood why she was not in the top five as her power had immense capabilities, but her defense and reactions brought her down quite a bit, but Ruka was determined. She didn't just join U.A for fun, she was aiming to be the best she can be and prove to others and mainly herself that she can be a hero with her kind of quirk. Yes...Ruka kept telling herself that she can be a hero and that she must do her best, it was like a little secret mantra that she kept repeating in her mind.

As Aizawa went back to each student's charts, Ruka narrowed her eyes slightly as light blue clashed with Aizawa's darker pair. She stared over at Aizawa as he explained Ruka's weak points. She chose to not show any emotion towards the teacher as she still had her suspicions about him and Mela. She was not going to let Mela be swept away by a man like that! Not until she gets a word or two with him though it seemed like her disinterest did nothing to the dark haired hero as he continued with class like normal. Ruka noticed Denki turn around and she couldn't help but smile over at him, giving him a thumbs up in return. He did quite well, something which Ruka will have to tell him later. She glanced over at Todoroki and gave him a smile, "thank you, but you did really well too Todoroki-san." He was in the top three, she'll have to keep an eye on him she supposed.

As Aizawa continued with his explanation, Ruka now understood why he even showed these to the entire class. So they were going to be in pairs each week? She listened for her name to come up as she wondered who she would be paired with and why. When she heard her name along with Bakugou's the entire class went silent while a low growl could be heard from the explosive boy. Ruka blinked for a moment before sighing. Great...things already seemed to have a rocky start. Much more rockier than her time in USJ that was for sure.

As the classes went on smoothly, Ruka let out a sigh once the lunchbell rang. Thank goodness. Sure she could keep up with the subjects, but she honestly wasn't in the mood to listen when she knew that this afternoon, she'll have to face the loud cursing of Bakugou. Feeling a shadow on her desk, Ruka looked up in time to meet eyes with Bakugou who walked over to her desk. The two stayed silent as they stared at one another before Bakugou turned around and simply let out a 'hmph'. What was that all about? Ruka lifted a brow but kept silent. Standing up she looked for Mela and asked her friend, "Mel, I'm probably going to spend some time in the library during lunch, you can go get food first." She has the bento that she made, she can probably munch on it in the library sneakily or something like that. Ruka was hugging the books that both Kaminari and Todoroki lent her. She was quite excited to read them.

As Aizawa-sensei went down the list of students, pretty much pegging down their weaknesses like this was his version of opening Christmas presents come morning, Mela was already beginning to tune him out. She already knew exactly what she needed to work on. She didn't need him waving it front of her face. Her face turned red as she fumed at Aizawa's comment directed towards her. She had to guess it wasn't his favorite either, based on how he used that scarf of his. In her mind, it made little sense for someone in a glass house to be throwing stones. "Wouldn't you like to know." She grumbled to herself, her face puffing out slightly.

As the pairs were listed off, Mela crossed her fingers for Denki, that way she could really prove her point form earlier. Then maybe she might leave him alone. Maybe. Mela really wasn't sure how to handle the situation with Ruka and boys yet. She gave a smile to her neighbor, glad to be working with such a nice boy. Tenya seemed a bit high strung but still, he was a nice guy and Mela would have no problem getting along with him though his quirk would keep her on her toes. She was just glad she wasn't stuck with Bakugo but then in some twist of fate, or Aizawa-sensei's twisted sense of humor, it was Ruka who got the hothead. Oh dear. Mela gulped and looked to Bakugo next to her, who seemed really mad about the selection.

Mela looked away from him quickly, not wanting to anger him. When Aizawa left to allow other teachers to start their lessons, Mela slouched in he chair slightly. Was it her imagination that he was poking more at her than the others? No. He was just being Aizawa. Maybe she was seeing what she wanted to see. The other lessons passed quick enough and Mela was ready for lunch. She got up and saw Bakugo march over to Ruka. Mela stared, prepared to intervene but he just left. That was intense. Mela didn't think she could bare to see a real match against them. What was Aizawa-sensei thinking?! "Oh sure." She frowned slightly. She figured Ruka wanted to read alone and eat there though Mela would much rather enjoy the sunshine. "Make sure you eat and not just get lost in those books of yours." She'd need her strength after lunch. "I'll try to meet you before lunch is over!" She smiled and headed off, taking the bento Ruka had prepared for her.

Waving to the others, Mela headed down to the ground floor and outside. She rubbed her eyes, still feeling a little sluggish. Maybe lunch would help? Or it could just make her fall into a food coma. Hm. Mela wandered around, enjoying the fresh air and birds. It was very peaceful. Spotting someone under a tree, she approached them and saw it happened to be the friendly janitor, Yagi. She tilted her head and bent down, poking his head with her finger. "Umm Yagi-san, you okay?" She asked him before she sat down beside him. Mela glanced down at the bento and opened it, seeing a nice spread of food to munch on. "Would you like some?" She asked him as she broke apart her wooden chopsticks. Hmm, maybe they'd have to share the chopsticks? Well he wasn't married so it didn't really matter right? "I wish I could take a nap, it's so nice out today!"

Only taking a moment to sulk, Denki decided he'd just grovel to Aizawa-sensei and the other teachers later when it came to extra credit. Still, he didn't think it hurt to ask though Uraraka-san's comment cut like a knife. Women could be so unknowingly cruel! Denki let out a yawn, intending on taking a nap whenever Aizawa finally left them alone but his plan was disturbed when he heard he and Todoroki would be paired against one another. Crap. No! Wait, this was great. He could prove to Ruka that he was better than that silent brooding Todoroki. Denki began to rub his hands together as the battle began to unfold in his mind. He'd leap into the air and then send a wave of volts down to the guy. The battle would be over before Shoto knew what was happening. Maybe Ruka would be so moved, she'd give him a congratulatory hug?

Similar thoughts were running through Shoto's head as well. Well, minus a creepy hug. He was glad to hear such praise from Kurotsuki. He just hoped whatever happened with Kaminari, nothing would change between him and Kurotsuki. He wasn't going to really go all out against Denki. No, that would be dangerous. But at the same time, he was going to win. He couldn't let that child get the better of him. Denki's grades may only matter from time to time, but Shoto took his studies fairly seriously. He looked over to see Denki snoozing away at his desk as the various teachers paraded through the classroom, going over their own personal subjects. Shoto took detailed notes as he thought about what he'd do against Denki. Ice would be the logical choice, just free the guy in place and the battle would be over with Shoto left as the victor.

Standing up, he stretched as lunch began. Shoto couldn't help but glare at Bakugo as he came over to give Ruka some kind of warning/threatening glare. Shoto overheard Ruka's comment to Mela and smiled to himself. The library sounded like a good idea. He headed out a bit after Ruka so it didn't seem like he was following or anything like that. He saw Denki still napping away and shook his head, sweatdropping slightly. The fight was as good as won for Shoto. Exiting the classroom, he headed down the hall and took the elevator up to the library, knowing so few would be there. But then he wondered how he might best run into Kurotsuki without making it seem like that was intention. Perhaps he could read the book he just checked out. No no that was too risky. He'd have to read that in the privacy of his own home.

Todoroki stepped out the elevator and sighed. The library was a great place for some alone time. It only got crowded come midterms or exams but if students adequately prepared, they wouldn't need to stress so much. He pulled out the book Ruka had lent him and walked over to one of the soft leather chairs by the window. Since food wasn't allowed in the library, he didn't dare take out his snacks but he knew Ruka may have some, based on what she had been carrying when she left. He smirked and got up to go see where the little troublemaker was, a bit of mischief tingling through his veins.

Wandering the whole floor was time consuming but he finally happened upon Ruka with her bento and her books. He approached her from behind, hands in his pockets as he watched her for a moment. She looked quiet content where she was. He bent down and said, "Food isn't allowed in the library, Kurotsuki-san." He said with some mild amusement, his lips quite close to her ear. He strode around and took a seat beside her. "But for a bit of your lunch, I won't tell anyone." Shoto said lightly. Hoping his offer seemed fair enough to her? In his hands was the book she had lent him, intending to get through some of it before the lunch period was over. But he also would enjoy the quiet comforting company of Ruka. Thankfully Kaminari wouldn't be bothering them, the image of the blond in a library was rather unrealistic to him. "Did you cook all that yourself? It looks very good."

It was peaceful, the shade with the cool spring breeze floating by...this was nice. Though all of a sudden, a gentle poke awakened the near sleeping Yagi. Eyes opening in surprise, Yagi looked just in time to see Uede Shoujo taking a seat next to him. Suddenly he straightened up as he spoke up startled, "U-M-Mela-chan!?" Phew, that was close, he nearly called her Uede Shoujo by accident. How obvious would that be? No one but All Might called her that after all. He glanced down at the bento in Mela's lap as he finally processed everything. Was she eating lunch here with him? He blinked a few times, disbelief evident in his bright blue eyes as he looked back at the bento then back at Mela.

Soon a small smile made way to his lips as Yagi scratched the back of his head, "good afternoon to you too Mela-chan! That sure looks like a delicious looking bento! Did you make that yourself?" He peered into the box and noted there to be a variety of small dishes each cutely designed. Looking up at the sky, Yagi nodded his head lightly, "yes, it sure is a lovely day today..." smiling Yagi continued, "a nap does sound great! But I rather be flying through the sky hahaha...ah but I can't that is. Ahah." Realizing his little slip-up, Yagi hoped Mela didn't notice it as he asked her, "oh right, you said I can have some right...are you sure though?" He looked over at her before finally taking a bite of the food. He took a piece of the cutely shaped mini riceball as he popped it into his mouth. Eyes widening, Yagi turned to Mela, "that is quite delicious!"

Looking out over at the field of flowers nearby, Yagi mentioned lightly, "I just spent all morning watering the flowers on campus! I never realized just how many we have until it took me all morning haha! But they look happy now, don't you think?" He smiled over at Mela as he continued, "I like to think of flowers like us. Give it water and sun and it will grow, just like us! As long as we are continuing to face challenges and overcome them, we continue to shine and grow just like the flowers!...ahaha...that was a strange ideology huh...aha, but it was from a great hero that I have heard this from...so I can't help but just believe in it!" He was, of course, talking about All Might...but it was true that a once great hero told him of this story.

Rubbing the back of his head, Yagi looked back at Mela as he asked her curiously, "so how have your classes been? You look slightly troubled there Mela-chan..." he couldn't help but feel like something was clouding Uede Shoujo's usually bright smile, or maybe it was just his imagination, though if there ever was something that was troubling her..."if you ever wish to just say something, I will always lend you an ear to listen to." He gave her a reassuring smile as he leaned back against the tree trunk. It was nice just relaxing like this, not feeling the need to always be smiling though strangely enough when around Uede Shoujo he was always smiling. Whether it be in his All Might form or his Yagi form. Either way, he was smiling...how strange. Maybe Yagi did have a chance at having people notice him despite his deflated image? Perhaps it was all in his head, though the fear of how people will react is forever haunting him.

Walking down the long hallways, Shota held back a yawn as he looked sleepy. Very sleepy. He was beyond tired as he spent a good deal of last night dealing with villains in the dark corners of the city and then school in the morning. What a long day honestly. As he passed by a window, Shota stopped as he retreated his steps to look out the window. Was he really seeing what he thought he saw? Looking out the window and into the courtyard below, Shota spotted the all too brown head of Uede along with that messy blonde hair of All Might. His eyes narrowed slightly as he wondered what on earth those two were doing and more importantly, All Might was not in his bulked-up form. Just what did that mean? Does it mean Uede knew of All Might's secret...? Or..." she doesn't know..." Shota murmured aloud to himself in slight surprise. Surely she would notice some similarities especially if she claims to be a fan of All Might's as she appears to be?

Shaking his head, Shota turned to continue walking towards the teachers' lounge...but why wasn't his feet moving? Shota felt glued on the spot as he watched the two converse, seemingly enjoying whatever conversation the two were having and was he eating her bento too? Eyes narrowing, Shota let out a slight huff as he didn't even get a taste of Uede's cooking yet! Wait....no that wasn't the part he should be upset about. What was Yagi thinking to do such things with a student? Yes, that was what he should be upset about...forcing himself to walk away, Shota was in quite the bitter mood as he wondered why he even thought such things. Moreover, why should that even make him this upset? Letting out a loud sigh, Shota opened the door to the lounge only to be greeted by Present Mic, "OH SHOTA LETS HAVE LUNCH!" Shota stared at his longtime friend for a moment before saying, "sure."

It seemed to have gotten Hizashi off guard as the blonde blinked a few times before cleaning his ears out to make sure he heard him right, "d-did you just say..." Shota let out a sigh as he answered, "yes...now let's go before I change my mind." Hizashi stared incredulously over at Shota as the latter simply turned around and headed off to get food. Might as well hang around this goof than to brood in his sleeping bag and not get an ounce of sleep. Either way he was probably not going to sleep for now. Hizashi trailed after Shota in complete shock but was soon bouncing about the raven-haired male as he went on to talk about his classes. Shota sighed as he wondered if this was really worth it or not.

Having spent most of lunch just chatting with Uede Shoujo, Yagi didn't even notice the time flying by until the bell rang once more, signaling the end of lunch. Yagi looked up in slight surprise before turning to Mela. He gave her a small smile as he looked a bit apologetic, "ah it seems like I took most of your lunchtime....sorry about that. But it was great seeing you again Mela-chan! I hope you do well in your heroics class and remember! I'm cheering for you always! I know you'll be a great hero one day!" Yagi gave her a thumbs up as he stood up, dusting his pants while saying, "now excuse me as I have to go and clean the yard now" he nearly said that a hero's job is never done, but refrained at the last second as he recalled he was not a hero in this form, or at least he thinks Mela doesn't know he's All Might.

As he watched Mela head off to class, Yagi smiled to himself slightly before turning around to see what other work had to be done. Placing his hands on his hips, Yagi puffed his chest slightly before deflating. No, not now. He shouldn't push himself just yet. With that, Yagi walked off to go see how the storage unit is doing. He finished cleaning it last week so it should be just...fine...? As Yagi arrived at the storage unit, it was once again a mess. He stared at it in confusion and bafflement when Principal Nezu walked back, "oh! Al-Toshinori! Good timing, do you think you can clean it up again? I don't know who made such a mess, but you did such a good job last time, it should be no problem for you, right?" Nezu walked off laughing lightly to himself leaving a shocked All Might in the wake. Yes...a hero's job is never over.

Holding back a yawn, Shota looked over at his students as lunchtime has ended which also meant the heroics classes were now in session. He regrets not having taken a nap during lunch, but he knew in his current mood, he wouldn't be able to sleep anyways. And it was all because of her...Shota eyed Uede briefly before speaking up, "alright, let's begin the practices. Who wants to go first?"

Hugging tightly the books and her wrapped bento, Ruka made her way towards the elevators after having talked to Mela. Ruka hoped Mela would eat and that she can hang out with some of their other classmates. She knew that her hiding in the library and not eating lunch with Mela wouldn't upset the brunette as their friendship was much deeper than that. Such a small thing would never break their friendship, never. As she arrived at the twentieth floor, Ruka made quick work in slipping past the librarian with her bento hidden beneath her books as she looked for a suitable place to sit and eat. Finding a seclusive corner with a desk and a few plush looking chairs, Ruka decided that to be a good spot. Plus there was a window beside her that she can look out from. What a view and what a comfy seat!

Sitting down into the soft leather seat, Ruka let out a small happy sigh as she unraveled her hidden bento as she could feel her stomach rumbling slightly. Looking left and right, Ruka made sure no one was around before opening the lid to her bento. Upon opening it, it revealed various small dishes that Ruka made earlier this morning while making breakfast as well since she usually liked to pack lunches for herself and Mela. Ruka quite enjoyed cooking and was more than happy to cook for Mela. Plus her friend enjoyed it and that just made Ruka happier. There were small dishes from rice balls to grilled salmon to some plums and of course fruits and vegetables that she cooked in a sweet soy sauce. And of course, she can't forget the best part of today's bento, fried shrimp.

Grabbing one of the shrimps, Ruka has just placed it into her mouth, happily chewing it when she heard a sudden voice right beside her ear. A sudden shiver went down Ruka's spine as she turned her head slowly to face the person beside her. Cheeks flushed from the close contact while a hand covered her ear, Ruka stared in surprise to see Todoroki sitting next to her, but she was unable to say anything as she currently had a shrimp sticking out of her mouth. After she finished munching on the shrimp, Ruka coughed lightly into her hand as her eyes looked around them before speaking in a hushed whisper, "Todoroki-san! You..." she paused as her face was still clearly flustered as she continued, "you scared me!...but um..." not wanting to get in trouble, Ruka pushed her bento towards him as she said with a slight pout, "fine, just don't tell the librarian."

Letting out a small sigh, Ruka placed a hand over her chest as she was still a bit jumpy from that. She did not expect to see Todoroki here nor for him to suddenly whisper into her ear! She couldn't just tell him that it tickled and felt strange...maybe her ears were sensitive? She recalled whenever Mela spoke to her in a whisper right into her ear, Ruka would always let out a whine. But it was a bit different from when Mela does it, perhaps she was just used to Mela? Shaking aside her thoughts, Ruka blinked over at Todoroki before looking down at her bento. She smiled up at him as she nodded her head, "ah yes, I did cook these. I made it this morning in fact!" One thing she can pride herself in was her cooking. She may not like to show off her quirk, but cooking was something else entirely. This was from her own hard work, not like her quirk that she inherited from her parents or rather parent for that matter...but who her father was? Well, even Ruka didn't know the answer to that.

She watched him take a bite of her food, "um how is it?" she wanted to have some opinions on her cooking. She's only ever really had Mela tell her how it was, but of course, Mela's opinion was what really mattered to Ruka. She could care less about what others thought of her most of the time. As long as she had Mela by her side, Ruka was okay for the most part. Looking curiously over at Todoroki, Ruka couldn't help but ask, "so what brings you to the library during lunchtime, Todoroki-san?" She was curious as to why he was here, but then again he might be here for the same reason as her. Smiling, Ruka explained herself, "I couldn't wait to read the books you and Kaminari-san lent me so I thought I'd read a bit during lunch...but I got hungry ehe."

Unwrapping the book that Todoroki lent her, Ruka looked curiously at it before seeing the title of the book. It was one of Emily Dickinson's books and on top of that, it was the special edition with the poet's notes included!? Ruka's eyes shined as she looked over at Todoroki, "how did you find this book? I've been looking for this one for ages! Thank you so much for lending this to me, Todoroki-san!" Ruka flipped the book open in excitement but she then closed it after having read through a few pages. Her eyes still very much shining and excited, Ruka explained to Shoto, "I think I'll have to save this for after school...I don't think I can stop myself once I start reading it hehe." She looked quite happy as she wrapped it neatly back into the cute cloth before reaching for one of the comic books Denki lent her.

Looking at the cover, Ruka noted it to be the one based on mythology. Curious, she flipped it open and was amazed as she marveled aloud, "oh wow...it's all in color!" She did not expect this from a comic, but it was written with such fine details in the artwork, Ruka felt herself getting engrossed in it. Looking over at Shoto, Ruka asked him, "do you read comic books as well Todoroki-san? It's my first time reading one...but the artwork is quite nice huh." She smiled down at the book in her hand, making a reminder to herself to thank Kaminari for this later. Speaking of Kaminari...last Ruka saw of him, he seemed to be sleeping on his desk. She wondered if he even woke up? Hopefully, he had something to eat.

Turning her attention back to Shoto, Ruka asked him curiously, "did you get a chance to look at the book I gave you earlier this morning? I do hope you would like it, it's one of my favorite series." She beamed up at him as she was eager to know if he liked it as well. After all, that meant the two could discuss it and that would be great as Ruka has been dying to speak about it with another person. It was a series on mythology based in a modern life setting. The author wrote the mythological beings so obviously yet so discreetly at the same time that it took Ruka quite a lot of thinking and guessing to figure out who the author based the characters on. But that was part of the fun for her as she read the series.

Before Ruka even knew it, lunch was soon over as she spent most of the time just talking to Todoroki and reading a bit of the book as well. It was quite enjoyable. Ruka looked up as the bell rang, her eyes clearly showing her disappointment before she stood up, packing her stuff before turning to Todoroki, "a bummer that lunch is over, but that was fun. Thanks for hanging out with me Todoroki-san." Ruka flashed him a smile as she turned to head out, "oh right...we're meeting up at the field huh...shall we head to the locker rooms then?" Ruka asked Todoroki before heading off to the changing rooms where she met up with Mela.

After chatting a bit with Mela while changing into their p.e uniforms, Ruka couldn't help but comment as she recalled, "I think we're getting our hero costume in next week right? Which design did you end up submitting Mel?" Ruka asked her friend with a smile as she was quite excited to get her costume. It was heat resistant to the max and it didn't stand out! She was quite proud of her design, to be honest. As they stood around their sensei, Ruka heard Aizawa speak up. She looked about the students, wondering who would volunteer first. Aizawa looked about them as he mentioned lightly, "if you don't volunteer, I'll just randomly pick the pairs....or maybe extra credit to whoever volunteers first..." he trailed off in hopes of catching someone with this little bait. Ruka wasn't sure if she wanted to go first or not. She was not ready to face Bakugou...she was certain he would get out her more...'mean' side.
