Audrey ( Skinnyfox Skinnyfox )

wild child

The sunlight filtered in through the large window of the room, hitting Bella square in the face. She squeezed her eyes shut further, groaning as she rolled over in the bed, curling up next to the warm body next to hers. She didn't have to open her eyes to know it was Audrey. Snaking her arm around the girls familiar waist, Bella pulled her closer, a small sound of affirmation leaving her throat. "Good morning, sunshine." She murmured into Audrey's ear, a small smile appearing on her face. It was probably well into the afternoon by now, actually, but who was counting?

Although they had no idea when the others would be showing up to Audrey's family's extravagant beach house, Bella was in no hurry to get up from her comfortable position on the bed. "We have to do something about those windows, babe." Leaning in closer, Bella pressed a kiss to Audrey's ear before settling back, her hand sliding up and down Audrey's flat stomach. Dipping lower, to the hem of her shirt, Bella toyed with the fabric there, her fingers brushing against the skin of her stomach. Maybe they could get some curtains for the huge ass windows.

But that could be taken care of later. Much, much later. Bella sighed in content, thinking back to the night before. She'd arrived here late as hell, but Audrey was here waiting for her, as they'd planned. They couldn't be seen coming here together, after all, even though the chances of someone actually seeing them was slim to none, and slim was on vacation. Their classmates weren't set to arrive until some time today, but Audrey was ever careful with their 'friendship'.

Honestly, pretending that they hated each other? Bella hated it, and it was fucking exhausting. Bella wasn't the type to hide anything-- not who she was, what she wanted, or who she wanted. But they just had to keep this charade up. No one could know that they were actually friends, and especially not more than that. Even though they hadn't really crossed that line yet, Bella knew it was only a matter of time. Smiling into Audrey's hair, Bella shifted so that her other hand was free so she could run it through Audrey's semi tangled locks. "Can we just stay here? All day? Screw the others, they'll never find us."

The princess

Warmth spread across Audrey as she lay, basking in the sun almost like a cat. Her eyes slowly opened while she let out a sigh of content. She felt the bed stir next to her reminding her that she was in fact not alone. Her mind Instantly floated back to the night before when Bella showed up, just like they planned. Audrey was so excited to have some alone time without anyone finding out that they were together, in such a intimate way.

The sound of Bella’s beautiful morning voice brought her back down to earth, the lovely purple haired weirdo had wrapped her arms around Audrey’s waist pulling her closer.

“Good morning love.” Audrey whispered back. There was no telling how long the two of that sat there together in each others embrace. The sun was low in the sky, not quite twilight yet but just a few hours away from it. Audrey stared out onto the water until Bella’s voice, once again, brought her back.

A chuckle left her lips, “Just wait until you see it at night, sunset especially. We can make it a date.” She placed a kiss on Bella’s forehead, in return for the kiss on her ear. Audrey just wanted to stay there forever, she didn’t have a care in the world right now. It was just how it was supposed to be but the real world was not like this. She responsibilities, she needed everyone to think that she was straight. She didn’t want to ridiculed, especially by her traditional parents. They would kick her out of the house, disinherit her, and never talk to her again. Among other things that she didn’t even want to think about.

Despite the overwhelming fear that everyone was going to find out about their secret relationship, she was excited. She was about to spend the whole summer with a bunch of her friends and have the time of her fucking life.

“Bella, let’s stay here forever, okay?” Audrey brought her hand up to Bella’s cheek and rubs her thumb over her cheek, softly.

Nobody's Perfect...

Laurel Willows.

Laurel let out a nervous laugh when she got out of the Uber and looked up at the beach house. This was more like a beach mansion! What was she getting herself into?

Wheeling her suitcase up the walkway, Laurel made her way to the door where she was offered a glass of champagne by an attendant as she entered. Laurel shifted the bouquet of sunflowers that she was carrying to her other hand in order to accept the glass. "Thank you!" She said raising her glass to the man as she stepped into the estate, taking a sip of the bubbly. The attendant directed her to leave her bags with him, which she did aside the flowers.

"Hello...?" Laurel called, her voice echoing in the silence of the foyer. Great, you’re the first one here Laurel- not cool. Surely Audrey must be somewhere in the house though.

Laurel glanced back at the attendant, who gestured in the direction that Laurel should try looking. Taking his advice, Laurel made her way up the large staircase, trying to walk quietly since the echoing of her footsteps made her feel even more awkward. The strawberry blonde thought she could hear Audrey's voice coming from a room down the hall, and walked over, checking her reflection in a large mirror hanging on the wall to make sure she was presentable. Audrey might have been the school's Princess, but this mansion made Laurel feel like she was meeting the queen. Laurel tucked a few stray hairs back in place, brushed the wrinkles out of her shirt, and decided she was as presentable as she was going to get. With a motivational nod to her reflection, Laurel walked up to the door that was slightly ajar and knocked on it a bit to announce her arrival.

"Hi, Audrey..." Laurel started to say as she pushed open the door to Audrey’s room, her voice trailing off upon seeing Audrey and Bella entwined in the bed together. "Oh!" She inhaled, realizing she had just interrupted an intimate moment and should have perhaps waited for a response from Audrey before coming in. "Um, I-I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to..." Laurel stumbled over her words, her cheeks flushing.

Laurel felt like a deer in the headlights. It wasn't that she had any qualms about two girls being together. What had her flustered and at a loss for words was these two girls being together. After all, Audrey was dating Maddox- they were Prom King and Queen even- and Laurel had been under the impression that Bella and Audrey weren't even that good of friends. So what were they doing together?

It's none of your business Laurel, worry about getting yourself together!!

"I'll just go..." Laurel uttered turning to make her escape, but then remembering the sunflowers in her hand, and turning back again towards Audrey and Bella. "Uh, these are for you Audrey." She said awkwardly holding out the bouquet at first, but then second guessing the gesture when she realized how it may look. "They're to thank you for hosting this summer, um, I'm not trying to step on anyone's toes or anything..." Laurel clarified, glancing at Bella

Oh god, Laurel, this was not how you wanted the summer to start!

Deni

drama queen

Today was the premier to a summer of unending variables. Deni was cautiously optimistic, and overtly pining for one that would change her life. Frankly, everything felt like it might change her life lately. Sometimes her emotions threatened to tear her in half, right down to the bone. It was too much to bear, feeling such intensity with no known way to squirm out of its grasp. She'd begun disassociating to cope as of late. It was better to be incapable of making decisions in a catatonic-esque state than to be quivering with anguish.

That's why this summer had to be perfect. She had to change things around for herself. Finally make a name for Deni Lightbrim like she'd always wanted. This would be the year. The eighteen-year-old was rather 'new years resolution' about it all. Confidence to follow through was bound to trail after.

In the palm of her soft, polished hand was a blueberry muffin of incredible size. Beside it, a tiny cup of colada. Florida was amazing for its Hispanic foods, all of which she was rather obsessed with. Granted, the colada would undoubtedly provide her with anxiety. But it was worth it for that single hour of blissful mania. The beach house wasn't far from here, and she had every intention of going. It was just early, and she refused to be the first person there. Can you say desperate?

Instead, she'd travel around the twists of the city until some time had passed. Uber was a life saver.

Maeve

class clown

Maeve was let into the house not too long after knocking, the sight of an attendant with warm features making her feel welcome. She didn't live an immodest life, but this was far beyond her norm. She could fit her house in here several times, and it was a big place too. Her dad raked in enough funds for a sizey five bedroom three bath two story, which she had the honor of cleaning. That's life, right? She'd probably make her kid do the same thing. Good way to pay the rent.

Maeve was well aware they'd be staying here over the next couple of months. She was deeply excited, thinking about all of the activities and partying they'd partake in. This was what high school was for. Her mom knew that, and she was cool with it. Her only rule was don't drive, or get in the car with someone who was tipsy. A fair line to draw.

No one was really downstairs at the time, so she helped herself to one of the open rooms that looked like it was up for grabs. There were two beds in them, sort of dorm style. She laid her rolling suitcase on one, then immediately regretted it after realizing it was a little muddy. Her pale face grimaced, hands raking the sides for the zipper. She pulled open some drawers and unloaded it, whistling eagerly as she did.

Juliet was early. Should she be early? There’s not many cars here, so maybe she’s on time. But what if these cars belong to the employees? Oh God, she is early. She ran her hand through her long dark hair anxiously. Juliet didn’t want to to look too excited, but here she was getting to the beach house before everyone else got here. Her getting to this get together early screamed that she was too excited for this. Maybe she shouldn’t have woken up too early to get ready for this get together. Maybe she shouldn’t have prepped her face the night before with an “Innisfree Ginseng Anti-Aging” face mask (to be honest, it’s never too early to start anti-aging products). Maybe she shouldn’t have stayed up too late packing the perfect outfits. Juliet was a wreck this afternoon.

Juliet remembered Audrey casually asking her and Ash about hosting a two month party. In Juliet’s mind, her head was going on overdrive about how this would have been her first party and first time truly socializing on her own. Not trying to seem uncool to the two girls, Juliet casually responded, “Sounds good.” She couldn’t understand why Ash and Audrey picked her of all people to join their group. Although, it was nice of them to want to be her friend. Thanks to them, she’s now able to experience the high school dream she has always wanted to have: partying and making friends. She laughed, maybe making friends isn’t exactly every high schooler’s dream. But it is mine, Juliet thought.

She scanned the area to find Ash since they were supposed to meet up with each other. Ash would probably be running late because it’s not that cool to be early to a party. Juliet shouldn’t have gotten excited. She sighed, all she could do was wait in the humid heat while sitting on her two suitcases. Juliet could go inside... or she could go nap on the lawn. She shook her head and thought people might think that was weird. But it did sound tempting....

Ash Davenport

“Are you sure you have everything, sweetheart? Don’t you need me to drive you? Or I can make cookies which you can share with your friends. Or---”

“Mother, stop!” Ashlynn exhaled in frustration, rolling her eyes so hard that it just had to hurt. Last few items landed in the open suitcase on her bed, flying from the spacious walk-in closet. “I’m definitely not bringing fucking cookies. This is not middle school bake sale. Jesus.” Ash let out another exasperated breath and grabbed her sandals from one of the gazillion shelves of her closet and walked back to the room, shaking her head. “Why don’t you just go and…uh…do whatever you do in your free time?”

This was typical Ash. Treating her mom like the dirt on the bottom of her shoe. Poor woman just sighed and indeed left her only daughter to finished the packing on her own. All she ever wanted was to have a child and well, that came true. After all those prayers and pleas, Ash finally came to this world and Miranda Davenport was ready to give her the world. And well, now Ash didn’t want anything less than that.

It was only a while later that Ash loaded her large suitcase in the trunk of her convertible Rover and off she went. Without cookies. Not even saying goodbye. Daddy was not at home anyway and mother would just go all overboard with the concerns and all that shit she usually did. Ash was really not in the mood for that so she simply left, turned the key in the ignition and the engine was brought to life, purred perfectly and soon was rushing down the highway, leaving her home in the dust.

This summer was going to be the last for Ash as people knew her. September meant college and she would have to work again to make a name for herself there as well. Here, people knew her, she was the IT girl and many would give anything just to bring her the morning latte. And Ash, she thrived, she enjoyed the attention and loved it. Not having it would mean that she was not as important anymore and that might just kill the girl’s vibe. Therefore, this summer was basically like her last high school hurrah and it held unspoked secrets that were simply waiting for Ash to discover.

Audrey had the best idea, inviting people to her summer house. The ideal place for everything Ashlynn wanted from her summer. Parties, pool, unlimited source of bourbon, possibly a hot guy or two, who knew? Driving to the summer house, Ash’s head was up there in the sky, daydreaming about everything that could happen and a mischievous smirk settled on those luscious, red painted lips. Her gaze fell upon the rear mirror, the glint was in her hazel eyes and she pursed the lips at herself.

Once her Rover parked in front of the mansion among other luxurious cars, Ash fluffed her hair, puckered her lips again and got out, breathing in the summer Florida air. That was it. Summer was here. And Ash as well. Not too soon, but fashionably late. Her bags remained in the car for now, she could always return to get them. Or…oh yeah. Hello, attendant. “Hey! My bags are in the trunk. Be a sweetheart, take them to my room.” she winked at the man, throwing her keys to him, not caring anymore. After all, he should know what to do.

“Juliet, darling!” Ash exclaimed and waved at one of her friends, sitting nearby. “Come on, get up. Ah, look at you, you look ah-mazing!” she added and reached her hands to Juliet, lifting her up from sitting on her suitcases. “Let’s get us some drinks, hm? And then we should find Audrey.” Ash was ecstatic, looped her arm with Juliet’s and almost dragged the girl inside. The others couldn’t come soon enough.

Maddox Rush

Thick smoke curled in the air into spirals and when it dissolved after rising higher, a figure appeared, laying on the hood of a vintage ’67 Chevy Impala. The exact type as in that Supernatural show. And Mads was pretty proud of owning a TV car. Not that he contributed one cent to buying it, no. It was just another gift from his father for being Maddox Rush, the son, the heir, the prince. Not that Mads had any problem with that, quite the contrary. He was quite used to being appreciated for nothing and since he never really had to work for anything, or at least not yet. Maybe it was coming his way, after all, he was gonna be a business major. But for now, he was still the crown jewel of the Rush family.

His lips enveloped the filter of his thick blunt and the smoke filled his lungs again. It was still way too soon to get to Audrey’s summer house and so he pulled over on his way there and chilled on the hood of his car while smoking, refilling the high levels he needed to feel so much. His head was already there, eyes shot up with blood, puffy a little and that confused smile curled on his lips as it did every time he succumbed into the state of the sweet haze.

What was the point anyway? No one really knew what Maddox was feeling, no one really care. Did they? Why would they anyway? To everyone, Mads Rush was the golden boy who was handed everything on a silver platter. And he would be a hypocrite to say it was not the case. But it never meant that he was happy, like really, truly happy. Maybe he used to be. Back in the day when he was still a boy. A little boy. Running around with friends, chasing each other in the large marble hall of the Rush villa. They always found something to do, raced down the stairs, slid the banisters, built the pillow forts and all that jazz. But then Mads discovered another friend.

Mary Jane was cool. She was always there for him, always comforted him when he needed it and never let him down. When he was lost in his own life, when he felt like an idiot dating a girl who didn’t love him. He didn’t love her either for that matter. And yet, he still kept the charade with Audrey up. Why though? He understood it back at school. But that was done now, wasn’t it? They should have broken it off already and yet, he was on his way to her summer home, still her boyfriend, still the prince of the high school, still the fucking prom king.

With a deep sigh, Maddox threw the joint but away and slid down the hood, getting in the driver’s seat. If the cops stopped him now, they would…they would what? One look at his ID and they would let him go. Just like that. Or maybe he would hand over a few greens. That easy. But still, rummaging in the glovebox for a moment, the boy found the eyedrops and applies them in his puffy eyes, blinking a little. He didn’t need to look like a wreck right away. He needed to keep his own mask up.

Seeing that a few cars were already parked in the front, Mads pulled his muscle baby over as well and looked at the large castle where his princess of a fake girlfriend lived. “Come on, man. This is gonna be fun.” he mumbled to himself and licked his lips. Fuck, he needed a drink. His mouth was parched. Putting on his catalogue smile, Maddox almost jumped out of the car and got his bags out of the trunk, heading towards the mansion.

“Hello! Anyone in here?” he called out but was only greeted by an attendant, offering him a champagne. “Well, aren’t you a sight for sore eyes, my man.” he grinned and once a crystal flute was in his hand, he emptied it with a routine move, setting it back on the tray. One more couldn’t hurt so Mads grabbed another full flute and this time took only a sip. The place looked empty. Where the hell was everyone? He was late, that much he knew. But was there a possibility that others were even tardier? “Audrey?!” he called out again, hoping somebody was going to show up soon.

Arlo got out of his uber grabbing his gray-like duffle bag, closing the door since the car dropped him off a few blocks down the road after all he likes to walk even if it is a short one they have an inescapable capacity to make one's mind think of practically anything, even comedy.

Arlo saw the entrance to the big mansion causing him to check his watch as it read 1:30 pm, thinking to himself, Did I bring my swimming trunks, pfft as if I'd get in. What am I gonna do? Pretend I got in before by getting a water bottle and pouring it on myself- oh! That doesn't sound half bad. He lightly chuckled at the thought.

The deep ocean engulfs him with fear whenever he thinks about it as if he is drowning, away from the world. When he speaks it has a similar feeling, not being able to say things he wants to say therefore remaining quiet instead. Almost like holding his breath until someone could lend him an ear as if it were a conspicuous amount of air, Arlo adjusted his duffel bag at the thought of his discomfort, moving it to the other side of his hip.

In a split second his head jolted up looking in the distance to see Maddox Rush, his old childhood friend, and Arlo judging by his demeanor he guessed he was not himself. In simple terms, they were not close anymore, but he always looked at him from a distance in hopes that he would return to his old self; the one Arlo knew. Wanting to go towards him he instead turned around on the, quickly putting on his earphones while increasing the volume of his music to put away the thoughts. Then Audrey's voice slightly crept into his mind thinking how she would feel if he simply left, seeing she invited him, causing him to promptly turn to the house looking up at the light blue sky with a deep sigh thinking I eventually gotta face the truth.

Arlo gingerly walked up to the front and to his surprise, an attendant offered him a bright glistening colored champagne, and in Arlo's considerate response, “Thank you, kind sir. But I'll be drinking water for now. It is far too early for me.” The attendant nodded.

Before heading inside, he heard Mads voice from the outside calling out to Audrey, he already knew by the sound of his tone that he was growing impatient and a childhood friend never forgets. His stomach felt like it was sinking lower and lower until he saw Maddox right in front of him as he stood at the doorway seeing him handling a crystal flute. Suddenly with a sense of familiarity, he mustered enough courage to say, “Hey Mads. What's up?”

Monty

nerd

"Monty! He took my barbie! Make him give it back!" Perking his head up from the computer he'd been fixing at his desk in his room, the middle Thompson child turned his head to see none other than his youngest sister stomping into his room. She was wearing PJ pants and a tutu, along with a stained shirt that he was pretty sure belonged to her twin. Apparently, though, he stared too long because she stomped her feet again, her pitch higher when she spoke again. "MONTY!"

"Whoa, jesus, I'm sorry. What happened now?" He dropped the tiny screwdriver on his desk and spun the rolling chair around, appeasing the little monster standing by his door. She pouted, but he didn't have to wait long before her twin appeared, barbie in one hand and scissors in the other. The barbie was sporting a fresh pixie cut, and Monty was pretty positive she hadn't come out of the box like that. He tried to stand up and shoot over to him before his sister could see, but she turned around just as Monty stood, and then world war three began. Luckily, Monty got the scissors from his brother before he got chased away.

"My god." Muttering under his breath, he glanced over at the clock and realized what time it was. "Fuck!" He wasn't even finished packing yet, and he still had to go pick up Justin. "Fuckity, fuck, fuck." Throwing clothes into the open suitcase on his bed, he paused as he tried to go through the mental checklist in his head. He turned and sped to the bathroom, grabbing the things he needed from there before running back to his room, skidding to a stop as he catapulted himself into the doorway. "FUCK!"

He heard his mom's voice from down the hall, so he yelled a quick "I'm fine!" before he darted back into his room to finish packing. Some twenty minutes later, he realized he'd overpacked as fuck, but he didn't have time to go through his shit. So he forced the suitcase shut and made sure to stop in and tell his mother he loved her. The twins were still chasing each other around the house, but he stopped both of them, gave them a big hug, and then left, yelling a goodbye behind him.

He pulled outside of Justin's house a short time later, sending the man a quick text to let him know he was there. Maybe if he didn't say anything about being late, no one would notice? Great way to start off the new you, asshole. Damnit, Monty!

“Do you have everything you need, con?” asked Justin’s mom in her thick Vietnamese accent. He scrolled his phone and grunted a “yes” in Vietnamese. He looked through all of his texts of all the girls he has been ghosting as of late because of this stupid get together. Justin stupidly promised his friend, Monty, that he would go with him so that Monty wouldn’t arrive alone. If Monty didn’t ask, Justin would have ditched. He sighed, maybe this will be a break from all of these girls harassing him and wondering why he wasn’t texting them back. This get together could probably be a good thing. Maybe he could hang out with Arlo and Audrey to recharge by having a couple of beers when everyone isn’t looking. Thinking about the possibility of drinking with two people who could keep his secret made him feel better about the idea of going to this two month long party.

Justin grabbed his duffel that his mom was in the process of stuffing vitamins and other snacks, “Mẹ, I’ll see you in a couple of months.” His mom teared up and asked him to stay safe and say goodbye to his dad before he left. Justin grimaced and sighed, “Yes, mẹ.”

He wasn’t going to say goodbye to his shit dad. His “hardworking and loving dad” was passed out from drinking on the couch snoring so loud a person could hear it down the hall. This was the only time Justin’s dad was the nicest and it was unfortunately during when he was sleeping. Thank God that Justin was getting out of this shit house because once he comes back from the get together, he would already be going to college. It was so annoying to be around his abusive dad and his helpless mom, witnessing them fight and yell at each other all the time. God, it really was so fucking annoying.

Right when Justin put some AirPods in his ear, he received a text from Monty saying that he was here. Justin wasn’t sure if they had a set time of when they were meeting, luckily he was already out of the house. Justin gave a little wave and threw his duffel bag in the trunk. Then Justin jumped in the passenger side and changed into the quiet and shy Asian kid that he portrayed at school. “Sorry for being late, man. My dad wanted to talk to me more before I left him for two months.”

That was a shit lie. Justin wasn’t sure why he decided to lie to Monty. The Vietnamese boy could have stayed silent for the entire ride, maybe it was so the car ride didn’t feel as awkward. During the ride, Justin continued to lie about how great his home life was and he listened to how Monty’s home life was. It made Justin jealous to hear how loving his family sounded. Monty might not think so, but it sounded better than whatever Justin has with his parents.

Soon they arrived at Audrey’s beach house. Justin was amazed at how grand it was. Damn, Audrey is loaded. He turned to face Monty, “So um, what do you want to do? Drop our stuff off or explore?”

Bella knew that when the others started to arrive, they would likely come looking for their hostess, but the purple haired girl didn't care. Let them find us, she thought, reaching up to trace Audrey's face after the beautiful brunette left a kiss on Bella's forehead. "Forever." Bella promised, leaning in closer. But just as her lips brushed against Audrey's, the door to the room swung open and suddenly a third body was in the room. Bella hadn't even heard the knock, but suddenly, there was Laurel Willows, standing there with a bouquet of sunflowers.

Lifting herself up and propping her head on her hand, Bella drank in the other girls form, noticing the rigid set of Laurel's shoulders and the look of shock on her face. "Surprise." Bella's lips curled into a smirk, though it faded some when she looked down at Audrey. She knew that her almost lover would not appreciate the intrusion, much as Bella didn't care that Laurel had seen them. With a heavy sigh, Bella pushed herself up and off of the bed, approaching Laurel.

Taking the flowers from her, she brought them to her nose to inhale their scent, closing her eyes for a few seconds. "They're beautiful, Laurel. Just like you." Winking at the girl, Bella turned to set the flowers on the table. Deciding to go ahead and take one for the team, Bella turned back to Laurel. "I think it's best we keep this between us, right?" She smirked, throwing an arm around Laurel and turning her back to the door. "Come on. Let's give Audrey some time to get dressed and join us, yeah?"

Looking back at Audrey over her shoulder, Bella gave the girl an almost sad smile before she and Laurel disappeared. Letting go of Laurel, Bella stopped by one of the other rooms where she'd stashed her stuff. "Give me one minute." She disappeared into the room, not bothering to shut the door as she changed clothes, reappearing once she was done. "I think I hear other voices. Come on, let's go!"

Suddenly excited, she grabbed Laurel's hand and basically dragged her down the stairs, finding a few familiar faces there, including one that immediately had her nose wrinkling: Ash Davenport. "Oh, great." Rolling her eyes, she looked past her to see the others, including a couple outside making their way in. "Come on, come on, come on!" She yanked open the door for them. "Let's get this party started! Who brought liquor?" Her eyes drifted to Mads, and she couldn't help but smirk at him, thinking about how she'd just been in bed with his girlfriend. "I know you brought something."

After all this time, Bella still gave Audrey butterflies. She looked up at her through her eyelashes, just as Bella bent over and brushes her lips against her own. Every kiss was like she was kissing her for the first time, her palms would get sweaty and her breath would hitch and that’s just what happened but the moment was cut all to short.
In the blink of an eye Audrey’s stomach flipped. There stood Laurel, in the door to her bedroom just as her lips touched Bella’s. Instinctively, Audrey pushed herself away from Bella almost falling off of the bed in the process. She couldn’t even look in the direction of Laurel but Bella hopped off the bed like it was no big deal, thankfully Bella ushered her out of the door but she couldn’t even hear much. Her mouth started drying up and she could feel her self chest tightening. It was coming and coming fast. Her heart dropped so hard that she was now in the midst of a full blown panic attack. Tears started slowing falling down her face but she couldn’t make herself make any sound, fearful that anyone would hear her and rush in and ask her what was wrong.
She couldn’t stop thinking about how Laurel would think about her and how terrible the outcome would be if they were outed and her parents found out. She would be disowned! Everything would be taken from her but she couldn’t deny who she was for much longer.

It felt like forever had passed before she could calm herself down enough to make herself presentable. Audrey was not up for meeting a bunch of people right now but she had too. She put her big girl pants on and got dressed, threw on some light makeup and made her way downstairs.

She was on auto-pilot and she just hoped no one would know. Reluctantly, she made her way over to mads and wrapped her arms around him in a warm embrace. She didn’t stay like that for long, just long enough for it to be believable. Audrey’s eyes sweeped through the small little crowd, gathering in her foyer.
“Hey guys! I’m so excited for you all to be here, I cannot wait to be drunk the entire summer.” A drink would really help her nerves. “Let’s do some shots, shall we?”

Laurel Willows

Laurel noticed the stark difference between Bella and Audrey’s reaction to her walking in on them. Based off of Audrey’s reaction, Laurel feared that she might not be welcomed any longer at the summer house. Luckily, Bella didn’t seem to be phased and took control of the situation.

Laurel smiled when Bella took the flowers and smelled them. “Glad you like them.”, She said, tugging on some of her hair, blushing a little at Bella’s compliment. “Thanks!” Laurel knew Bella was just being friendly, but she couldn’t help but be awkward about it in this situation.

“Oh, yeah, of course, I won’t tell anyone!” Laurel promised quickly as Bella put her arm around her and led her out of the room. “I’m really so, so sorry!” Laurel added, glancing back at Audrey once more before exiting with Bella.

Oh how Laurel wished she had a time machine and could rewind the last few minutes, but the damage was done. A lot of questions about Audrey and Bella sprang to mind- how long had they been a thing? Did Maddox know? Who else knew? Didn’t they hate each other? - but Laurel decided it best to keep the queries to herself. For now at least. If she wasn’t kicked out of the house, there’d be plenty of time this summer for answers.

Nodding when Bella asked Laurel to give her a minute to change, the strawberry blonde busied herself admiring the house to give Bella some privacy. Though, Laurel seemed more concerned about privacy than Bella. That was one of the many things Laurel admired about Bella- she was so free and seemed so confident with herself. Plus Bella always made things a good time from what Laurel had noticed the last few months at the school.

“Cute!” Laurel smiled when Bella was dressed, and laughed as Bella dragged her down the stairs. Bella’s energy was making Laurel forget about her snafu, and she decided to put the embarrassing moment behind her for now and have some fun.

Laurel was excited to see other people had arrived and that more booze was already the topic of conversation. She spotted Ash and Juliet together and waved, glad to see more familiar faces. The thought crossed Laurel’s mind that Ash surely did not know about Audrey and Bella.

When Audrey appeared and embraced Maddox, Laurel glanced over at Bella curiously, but said nothing. Audrey’s announcement for them all to take shots was a welcomed distraction, and much needed. Laurel was looking forward to this summer as an opportunity to make better connections with the classmates she had known for only a few short months. And there was no better way to get to know people than after a few rounds of shots!

Juliet forgot how intense Ash could be. For example, the rich girl yanked Juliet up from her suitcases and dragged her inside for some drinks without asking if she wanted any. Juliet didn’t mind all of that, she was just flustered. Juliet fumbled with the handles of her suitcases as she was being pulled away and luckily she got ahold of them just in time. The quiet girl took in her friend’s glamorous outfit and replied, “You look amazing too. I love that top!”

Score for complimenting somebody! The two went inside the mansion and saw more people. Most of the students there, Juliet doesn’t know who they are. It made her feel overwhelmed a little. Luckily, Audrey came out and greeted everybody after she hugged her husband-wait no, boyfriend. Juliet wasn’t sure what the deal was between those two. Audrey and Maddox looked like the star couple everybody wanted to be. They seemed deeply in love with each other and looked like they were heading for marriage. Or Juliet is just over analyzing the couple. It’s all that people watching thats she’s been doing.

When Audrey announced that the group was already starting to take shots, the blood drained out of her face. Juliet has only had church wine! She needs to take the drinking thing slow! Attendants with trays full of various shots spilled into the foyer handing students alcohol. When the attendant tried to hand her a shot, she told the person no because she hasn’t eaten yet. Which is true, but she was also nervous about drinking hard liquor right off the bat. She casually asked the attendant if they had cider, since that should be light alcohol.. hopefully. The attendant went and fetched Juliet some cider; she sighed in relief. Hopefully nobody in the room could tell she was being a weenie.

Ash Davenport

Ash was nothing if not bold. And that boldness sometimes flirted with rudeness. Not that it ever mattered to her. Ashlynn simply wasn’t raised to satisfy with less than the best, people were expected to bow, to follow and to simply know what she wanted and needed. And Ash always took everything without asking, she acted and never thought about what others might think about it. It was her blessing but also her curse.

That’s why she grabbed Juliet immediately after seeing her and took her inside. After parking her car, she was not going to drive for quite some time and drinks were her next step. Endless rave of booze and parties, ignoring people who were not even meant to be around Ash and yet they somehow crawled their way here and simply having the greatest summer of her life. College was coming closer with long strides and Ash knew that once she started, there was not going to be enough time to do this.

Inside, there were a few people already. Ash spotted a few familiar faces and flashed a few smiles all around. Her smile faded a little when she noticed Bella walking down the stairs and she rolled her eyes. “I see everyone was allowed to come.” she groaned and looked away not to be sick. What was Audrey thinking? After all, she didn’t like that purple-haired catastrophe either. And yet, here she was, smug as ever. Thankfully, she noticed Laurel and beamed again. Ash adored that girl, she was new here but she was promising. Ash knew that there was a lot of potential in her and the redhead was there to help her discover it.

“Laurel, darling!” she exclaimed and went to give her a tight hug. “You look cute as ever!” she added, holding her both hands, giving Laurel a good look, inspecting the girl in front of her.

But before they managed to talk more, Audrey finally made her appearance, greeted everyone and basically launched their few-months-long party. Soon, the attendants with alcohol appeared and Ash grabbed two glasses from the tray, handing one to Laurel. “Here’s to us then.” she smiled, clinked their glasses together and then raised hers and waited for Audrey to look at her so they could toast at least from the distance. For now.

Maddox Rush

Coming pregamed to places like these was nothing unusual for Maddox. And there was a lot more where that joint came from. A.k.a. Maddox’s bag. When packing, he just threw in a few outfits to get him through the summer and a few more baggies full of party favors for him and for anyone who would be interested. Maybe he could lure even Monty to share a joint with him. The guy needed to loosen up a little anyway. And Mads was here to make it happen.

Walking towards the house, it felt a little like a moon land, world was slow and Mads blamed it on the sample he had smoked prior to his arrival. Not that he minded. Not the least bit. But it felt like years and years to finally get inside only to find out he was alone. But thankfully it didn’t take long for the house to start filling with people. He waved at Ash and Juliet when they got in but almost choked on his sip of champagne when Bella appeared on the steps. Well, that was definitely what he was in a mood for. Being called an asshole for seven-hundredth time. Jesus, she should get over it already. So they slept together, so what? It was nothing but a bet. Not like she would ever want to date him for real. So what was the big deal?

When Audrey appeared, Maddox smiled warmly at her and took her in his hug, balancing the champagne flute. The hug was the briefest ever but none of the others would ever know. And a question popped up in his head. How long did they want to keep this charade up? To an observant eye, it would be clear that something was not right about this royal couple. They barely ever kissed in front of other people and their hugs were cold as ice, just enough to fool everyone. But there was no love, no feelings, no passion. Was there ever? Or were they just the forced necessity to cover their secrets? And did Audrey have any secrets at all? Nah, Mads was not interested. She could very well keep them. Maddox had enough of his own.

When Audrey stepped away and welcomed everyone, Mads replaced his flute with a shot glass and downed whatever that was with ease, grabbing a few more in a row. With his training, he was not getting plastered any time soon and the blunt made him thirsty. Finally, his mouth was feeling less parched and he looked for the phone to shoot a message to one of his friends.

“Dude, where you at? Need a buddy for a snow storm. HURRY!”

Wayne was the only one who understood this part of Maddox’s life and while thinking about shit, Mads walked back outside only to find two familiar faces lurking around. “Heyo, nerdos! What the fuck are you doing outside? Come in, come in, the party’s already started!” he laughed, jogging to them. “Orrr….” A smirk appeared on his face as he clasped both or their backs. “…you wanna join me for a smoke? Loosen up a little? Have fun?” he wiggled his eyebrows, looking at Justin, then at Monty and back as if he was watching a tennis match.

Dinah Smith

Currently Offline.

Dinah stared at her screen and took a deep breath. The comments were still popping up in the chat box and for a while she just sat there absentmindedly glancing over them. When they eventually started dying down, she pulled off her headset and carefully hung it over her secondary monitor.

There was no words for how much she was going to miss her set up. Nevertheless summer was going to be fun. Dinah was determined to make the most out of it before her friends started moving away for uni. Unlike most of them she was staying home with free rent and free food. One gap year to see if she could make gaming into her life, if not it was off to crazily expensive higher education that could get her a job to pay for the crazily expensive higher education.

Writing one last Tweet before she turned off her computer for the summer, Dinah felt both excited and sad. She knew from an outsider’s point of view it probably sounded stupid, being sad for separating from a piece of tech for a couple of months, but to
Dinah it was her life. “See you later babe,” She muttered jokingly as the screen went black and the machine died down.

Hannah, Dinah’s mom was a very organized person, so when leaving time came, everything was in order. The room had been cleaned, the suitcase packed and the playlist for the road had been made.

While Dinah loved metal over any other genre, Hannah wasn’t a big fan, but she made an effort to add it to their playlists, for her daughter’s sake. The one thing they did have in common was their love for rock. After saying goodbye to Alice the cat and stuffing everything into the family car, they sang along to classic tunes for the two hours it took them to drive to Audrey’s beach house.

“Are you sure you remembered everything?” Hannah asked as she glanced at the house they had parked in front of. “Yes” Dinah answered for the umpteenth time while one of the few Rammstein songs on their playlist played in the background.

“Remember, be careful, don’t drink too much” “I won’t” Dinah lied, opening the door and getting out. Dinah noticed another parked car and gave a quick wave to the duo and watching as Maddox Rush walked up towards them. Proper greetings however could wait until later. As much as she loved her mom, Dinah wanted her gone as soon as possible. “Be careful around the boys, guys your age only want one thing,” Her mom continued as she followed her daughter out of the car. “What mom? Romantic dinners and walks along the beach?” Dinah retorted, opening the trunk and unloading her suitcase and bags. Her mom laughed besides her as they collectively carried the luggage towards the entrance of the house. “You know what I mean honey- oh! Don’t do drugs, that’s important,”

“Weed’s fine right? I’ve seen your uni life album, I know what you’ve been up to,” Dinah stared at the villa that would be her home for the next months and her mind drifted off to the possibilities. They probably had a massive pool, maybe even a Jacuzzi. What if they had a home cinema? Or a home gym? (not that Dinah planned to use it) Imagine the size of the TVs in the house.
“I’d be a bad mom if I didn’t tell you it’s not fun” Hannah offered as she pulled her daughter in for a hug. She offered a few motherly reminders; wear sunscreen, wear condoms, drink water, drink less beer and all that stuff, before they said a final goodbye and Dinah waved her mom off.

After giving herself a couple minutes to mentally prepare, she entered the Villa. The first thing she noticed was that the entrance hall was probably the same size as the whole apartment she and her mom shared. Secondly, quite a few people had already arrived (She had very little idea of who was going, she had said yes to going and left it at that). Thirdly, and most importantly; alcohol. With a little bit of struggle she got her luggage through the door, stashing it next to the wall, before giving everyone there a quick "hey," followed by a peace sign. Then with little hesitation she downed two shots offered to her before continuing to sip on a glass of champagne.

Justin ( sunnieside sunnieside ); Maddox ( _amaranth_ _amaranth_ )

Monty

nerd

Already missing the constant buzz of somebody doing or saying something, Monty fiddled with the stereo some more as he waited for Justin to come outside and get in the car. Monty was definitely not used to quiet; in fact, he hated the quiet. And even though the radio had already been on, he needed something other than the static-y station he'd found. Stupid old car. Maybe he should upgrade the radio finally. Though it'd be his luck that he'd do that, and then the car would actually die.

Glancing up, he spotted Justin and waved eagerly at the guy, pausing afterwards and wondering if he looked desperate. Fuck. Justin threw the duffel in the trunk and then slid into the passenger seat, apologizing for being late. "No worries, bro. I was just messing with the... yeah." Realizing Justin probably didn't care about Monty's need for noise, he sighed and picked a random station before heading out onto the road. "What'd your dad say?"

This launched a conversation between the guys that lasted pretty much the whole ride, though it didn't just revolve around Justin's dad. They talked about whatever came to mind, and before Monty knew it, he was pulling up to the address. The place was definitely high end, and Monty whistled as he and Justin stared at it. Hearing Justin's question, Monty looked at the guy, an unsure expression on his face. "I'm afraid to break something. Maybe it's safer out here."

Of course, that wouldn't last. Hearing a familiar voice calling out to the "nerdos", Monty realized with a sinking feeling that he and Justin were, in fact, the nerds. Recognizing Maddox up on the porch, Monty glanced his way as the guy started to jog in their direction. "What's up, Mads." Monty glanced at Justin now as Mads clasped both of them on the back, smirking that evil smirk of his. He offered to smoke with them, looking back and forth between the guys, and next thing Monty knew he was agreeing.

"Sure." Wait a fucking second, what the fuck? Monty didn't smoke. Not really. He'd tried it a few times and swore he never would again, because it just made him a fat, hungry potato. But here he was, agreeing to smoke with Maddox of all people. Someone bound to get him in trouble. But... maybe trouble was what he needed this summer. "Bring it out, Mads." Monty slid out from under his arm, glancing at Justin to see if he was going to partake, too.

Deni

drama queen

Enough shitting around, playing the disinterested. Deni was in fact mega interested in getting to this party. Her uber had arrived, and she was steadily creeping toward her final destination for the summer. Talk of the never-ending party had reached legend status, and she was dying to grasp its glory.

The place was more beautiful than could ever have been expressed, and she felt twinges of grief over living somewhere not nearly as striking. Her room was cute, but it wasn't breathtaking like this home. The architectural vibes were immaculate, and she was already soaking in it.

Her long, wavy styled cocoa tresses shimmered as she whipped them sideways, strolling in with gripping presence. People already had drinks in hand, and she reveled in the opportunity to get fucked up. She loved numbing herself. It kind of reminded her of her shared time with Wayne, who had long felt her wrath over a heart splintered to bits. It wasn't his fault, but she didn't necessarily see it that way.

Painted cerise lips and sultry smoked eyes wandered the room as she regarded who was already attending. A lot of people she didn't care for. A lot she hated. That was, until she saw Ash. She adored Ash, and instantly grinned ear to ear upon sight of her iconic glossy red locks. "Babes!" She cried out, snaking her arms around the pleasant-scented girls waist in a cheeky hug before parting. "What have we got here?" She mused playfully, pointing at her already filled cup.

Silas

outcast

The height of the manor stretched above its decorating palms. He remarked at its intimidating expanse, now no longer wondering how they'd all fit so "comfortably" in one little joint. He still wasn't entirely certain why he was here until remembering the foster home he normally bunked at. The steady chaos had only risen lately, as another child with special needs was trudged in. He had no qualms about the kid himself; it was his foster parents, who didn't know how to stop feeding off of them for funds. He couldn't be there anymore. This seemed like a more freeing option, although temporary.

He had the option of booze and drugs, probably. Slipping off into town was a possibility if things got too overwhelming. He tended to get overstimulated sometimes. There was already another kid striding inside, and Silas resolved to follow suit and use him as a buffer to slip past.

His cautious bright eyes, lined with inky lashes offered a glare like that of a black cat with its fur risen. He didn't mean to come off so bristling, but his anxious nature was difficult to displace. He tried to zip past a few people, carrying only a stuffed backpack of random clothes, a toothbrush, and a charger.

If anyone managed to stop him in time to chat, he'd likely try to be cordial and conversational as possible. He might as well attempt to loosen up a bit while spending an extended period of time with other high schoolers. No need to be as cold as he was in the halls.

Bella hadn't been naïve enough to think that everyone who showed up at Audrey's family beach house would be someone that Bella got along with. The purple haired girl knew she had a definite chance of being invited, considering she was almost sleeping with the host. Almost didn't always count, though, so Bella knew that she might wanna take it easy-- oh, who the hell was she kidding. She was Bella, for god's sake. When did she ever take anything easy? Almost laughing at the thought, Bella finally released Laurel as drinks were handed out.

Ash may have thought she was slick with her comment about everyone being able to come, but Bella had heard it. Did it hurt her feelings? Nah, not one bit. But did it spark a lavender flame inside of her? Oh, it sure as hell did. After Bella downed a shot of her own, she grabbed two more and turned to march over to Ash, her eyes on the redhead the entire time. Well, except for the glance Bella gave to Audrey and Mads, her eyes narrowing for a split second.

But then her gaze was on Ash again, and Bella stopped in front of the redhead. "Shot, Ash?" She asked innocently, tilting her head to the side slightly. "Come on. You can trust me. After all, we've graduated now! Let bygones be bygones. Are you really gonna hate me for no reason forever?" Bella glanced over at Deni, who now stood beside the redhead, giving her a slight nod before looking back at Ash, a grin tugging at her lips.

When Ash took the shot, Bella gave her a look as though she were proud of the other girl. Clinking her glass against Ash's, she raised it then downed it, liking the way the liquor burned her throat on the way down. "Oh, Ash. You have a little something. Let me get that for you." Never one to hold back, and fully knowing how Ash felt about her, Bella grabbed Ash's face and pulled her closer, giving her a kiss on the lips before she would have a chance to react.

"Got it." Bella chirped, releasing Ash and stepping back. "You look great, by the way. Been sticking to that no calorie liquor?" Glancing down at the empty shot glass, Bella shrugged and then spun on her heel. She hadn't kissed Ash because of any attraction to her-- her attitude was enough to make Bella want to run far away. But Bella didn't want to miss an opportunity to stir the pot, either.

Spotting a semi familiar face brushing past everyone, Bella immediately pointed at him. "SILAS!" Remembering his name at the last second, she started in his direction. "When did you get here? Don't ignore me!"

Laurel Willows

When Ash made her way over to Laurel, she was glad to see the red head, but also a bit nervous now that she carried such a big secret that she was certain Ash wasn’t aware of. Laurel though prided herself on being a good confidant, and was determined not to be the one to give Audrey and Bella’s relationship away. Pushing aside the thoughts of the two girls she’d caught cuddling in bed, Laurel smiled brightly and returned Ash’s hug.

“Thanks Ash, as usual you’re looking amazing.” Laurel replied to Ash’s, admiring her outfit of the day. Her complement wasn’t one for the sake of being polite and returning the complement. Ash’s style and complete confidence was something that Laurel wished she could attain, and lately Ash had begun to take Laurel under her wing a bit. Laurel doubted she could ever pull off the outfits Ash wore quite the same, but perhaps someday she’d graduate from “cute”.

As the attendants passed out shots, Ash grabbed two from the tray, and Laurel accepted the glass that Ash offered. “Cheers to a summer like no other!” Laurel smiled excitedly, clinking her shot against Ash.

As the attendants passed out shots, Ash grabbed two from the tray, and Laurel accepted the glass that Ash offered. “Cheers to a summer like no other!” Laurel smiled excitedly, clinking her shot against Ash.

Noticing Ash raise her glass towards Audrey to cheers her from across the room, Laurel’s stomach fluttered a bit, and she quickly tossed back her shot. Laurel did her best to keep from making a face at the taste of the alcohol, and she dug in her purse for something to chase the flavor with. Shots had never been Laurel’s favorite, though they were an effective way to reach a buzz quickly, and Laurel appreciated them for that. Finding a lollipop in her purse, Laurel unwrapped in and popped it into her mouth. Lollipops had become Laurel’s favorite chaser, and she typically carried a few around with her at parties.

Deni made her way over to Ash, and Laurel took a couple steps away as they greeted each other. Laurel didn’t really have much interaction with the brunette, and she hadn’t had enough alcohol to try to make friends with the school’s elected drama Queen quite yet. However, only moments later, Bella took a page from Deni’s book by creating some drama of her own.

Laurel just watched wide-eyed as Bella boldly made her way over to Ash with shots, claiming to want a truce with the fiery redhead. Laurel was naive enough to think Bella might have been sincere for a split second, but that may have been wishful thinking since it would make keeping the secret easier if Ash and Bella didn’t hate each other. When Bella grabbed Ash’s face and kissed her, Laurel’s mouth fell open and her lollipop nearly fell from her lips. She hadn’t been at the school very long, but Laurel knew this wasn’t going to go over well.

It was already difficult being friends with both Ash and Bella, and she liked both the young women in their own ways, but Bella had effectively just declared war with Ash this summer. That didn’t take long! Laurel reflexively glanced at Audrey to see her response to the kiss, as all the implications of Bella’s action started to fire in Laurel’s head. Was she trying to make Audrey jealous since she was still with Maddox? Or was Bella just living up to her wild child ways to mess with her nemesis Ash?

As an attendant passed, Laurel grabbed another shot and drank it quickly. This was going to be an interesting summer for sure, and quite the balancing act.

Dinah Smith

Dinah stood idly in the hall as more and more people gathered. She felt relieved to see some more friendly faces. There was no one she would consider a best friend, but there were friends nonetheless. Not to mention a bunch of people she wanted to get to know better. In Dinah's eyes, the odd mix of personalities was amusing, but she was also vary of the trouble it could bring. There was a lot of kids who didn't like each other.

In order to not think about everything that could go wrong, Dinah let her eyes wander over the various outfits worn. She had never been one to care for fashion, but she felt the strange sense of being embarrassed by her own appearance. While most of the girls wore short denim shorts and a suitably small top, Dinah was in one of her over sized grey hoodies, with loose purple tie-dyed shorts hanging loosely to her knees, her pale legs clearly visible underneath. Hopefully I'll get a tan quicker than my skin can burn...

Dinah's attention went back to her peers as Deni paraded through the room and to her master. A little snicker escaped her as she mentally compared Deni's affection to Ash with Gretchen Wieners and Regina George. From the tray of the attendant, Dinah took yet another shot, downing it quickly before turning to her luggage. She had no idea where she was supposed to store it, but leaving it in the entry room wasn't optional. Surely she'd left her main computer at home, but her laptop was carefully packed into the suitcase, along with her Switch and Nintendo DS (Bringing it all was probably unnecessary, but she liked having the option) It wasn't that she didn't trust the people she was meant to be living with, she felt it was better to be safe than sorry.

Just as she'd gotten ready to pick up her bags to carry it somewhere else, she noticed Bella walking in a straight line towards Ash.

Anyone at their high school would know that they were not friends. Not even friendly, in any ways. Dinah normally found feuds and long lasting hatred unnecessarily and overly dramatic, especially at high school, but even she couldn't help sympathizing with Bella. Finding Ash Davenport likable was a difficult task. With one hand one the suitcase handle, Dinah watched as the two enemies took a shot together before Bella leaned forwards and... kissed her?

For some long seconds, Dinah stood still, unsure whether to laugh or find a place to hide from the inevitable backlash. Good way to start the summer. Dinah found herself to yet another shot, taking note that she was not the only one. It was quickly downed, as if it was water. Some might call her lucky, some would disagree, but Dinah had never had problem with the taste of alcohol. She saw kids her age either try to hide a grimace or retch after one shot. How long had she been there? 10 minutes? Dinah noted to herself that she needed to take it slower, yes she had a high tolerance, but she also wanted to last the whole day. Not to mention how much she ached for using the pool that was undoubtedly somewhere behind the house.

Bella backed off and headed for a guy Dinah wouldn't have been able to name if it hadn't been for her shouting it. Dinah turned back to the group and then looked at Audrey, positioned at the side of Prince Charming. "Can you point me in the direction of the pool? I'm dying for a swim,"

The princess

There were so many people, so many people she had to put up this front for. Her stomach churned, as she surveyed the people around her. The attendant came around with trays of endless shots. The timid girl confidently grabbed one like her life depended on it with the biggest smile on her face. Just as she was about to the toast, she made eye contact with Ash.

Ash was the person that made her the most anxious, out of everyone here. She had NO idea how the fiery red head was going to react, because she did tend to be more on the dramatic side. If her secret got out it would ruin so much of the foundation she spent so much time trying to keep from crumbling.

But she could feel shift in the dynamic. The purple haired temptress stepped up to Ash, the ground felt like it had completely vanished. She had to place her arm on the wall to steady herself. She grabbed another shot from a passing tray and downed it all in one go. Her throat was dry, she needed more. The uneasy brunette watched carefully, licking her lips.

And then, the foundation crumbled just like that. Audrey gasped, her hand flew up to her mouth to cover her surprise. She could feel it, the panic coming, the attack crawled up her throat. She pushed it down with enough shot. She couldn’t even get mad or show any emotion, that was the hardest part but instead she shifted her eyes away from the pair just as they parted. Bella didn’t even so much as glance in her direction.

The only thing she could do was awkwardly laugh and make her way over to Ash. “Ash! Oh my god, I cannot believe Bella did that.” She wrapped Ash in a big hug. “It’s good to see you. Let’s go hang out by the pool, yeah?”
