Realistic or Modern Washington High School: Student Chronicles

Regan snickered also, causing the teacher to chide them for making too much noise. Regan rolled her eyes then wrote 'And I'm starving also' down in her notebook then showed it to Zori. She groaned quietly then actually tried to bring her focus back on the teacher and her lesson.

Syo took her seat at her first lesson, once again listening to her music at a annoyingly loud volume, shoulder still hurting slightly from her crash into the lockers. She yawned loudly, pulling her books out of her bag and setting them onto the table as she waited for the teacher.

Butch walked into the classroom late, not even getting scolded by the teacher. It was almost like he didn't even exist, limping toward the back of the class. None of his goons were in the first class with him, making him a target. A person threw a rolled up paper ball at his head, and a pencil. Butch wasn't trying to react today, he was just trying to get through today and sleep. He wasn't in any shape to even be walking around; and everyone knew it.

Syo twisted her head to watch Butch as he walked in. Yep.. he definitely doesn't look okay. Why didn't he just stay off school? She turned back to her book and focused on her work.

Butch tapped his folder rapidly with his pen, awaiting the end of this stupid class. People were giving him looks, some of pity, but most from hate. He didn't mind being hated; but he knew people would take advantage of his pain. Since he had a falling out with his Coke supplier, he couldn't get high that way anymore. So when it came to being able to push through pain, it was a hundred times worse. He smoked a little pot before entering the school, but it had it's limits. All he needed to do was to await the principles guidance, and he would get his payout. The sooner the better, and he would probably leave the school indefinitely. Probably move back to Oakland California; even though they hated him there worse than here. He saw Syo sitting a little in front of him; she made it back home safe at least. He kept wondering why she was hanging around the fight house, normally people like her wouldn't even give that place a second look.

Syo stared down at her worksheet, wanting the lesson to be over as quickly as possible. It wasn't something she liked to tell people, but Syo had always had some problems with reading and writing. She knew she could do it, but not with the same ease as her peers, and it wasn't something she was proud of.

She'd written very little this lesson. The questions all seemed so jumbled up, and it took at least five minutes of staring at them before they started to,make sense. Frustrated, she slumped down onto the table, glancing at the person next to her's work. Lines and lines of neat, tidy writing..it didn't really improve her mood. Syo debated on whether she should ask the teacher for help, but decided against it - chances are she'd just get annoyed she hadn't finished her work.

Regan reluctantly started doing her classwork on a new page in her notebook. English was one of her most liked classes but she just didn't like doing the work and got bored easily. She slipped her phone out of her pocket and kept it in her lap, occasionally looking down to use it secretly when the teacher wasn't looking.

The teacher began moving between the desks, checking up on how everyone was doing. Syo slid her hand over her sheet to cover it up, but it was too late. ''Syo,'' She said sternly, ''Where's all your work?'' She stared down at her desk, mumbling, ''I'm.. I spaced out, sorry.'' Nearby students looked over at her, and she felt her face burning. Did the teacher have to talk so loud? ''I expect more work from you. Maybe if you spent less time daydreaming, and more time focusing, you could get things done.'' Syo fidgeted, not looking up. More time focusing? She WAS trying.. The teacher walked off, but she still got weird looks from the students.

(sorry for late replies, im on my phone)

Regan was on her phone still as the teacher walked up and down the rows. She didn't notice it when the teacher came to her desk to see how she was doing on the writing assignment. Regan was looking at something funny and started to laugh out loud by accident. At that moment the teacher snatched her phone out of her lap. The teacher scolded her for having her phone out. "You can come get it at the end of the day" the teacher said. Regan tried protesting but found it useless. She sighed and watched as the teacher walked away, glaring at the back of their head. Now she had nothing to occupy herself with for the rest of the day.

Zori had been doing his work. He wasn't much of a rebel and was all the more happy to get his work done first before messing around. He had noticed that the teacher had been coming and tried to catch Regan's attention though it was futile. He watched as the teacher took the phone and held in his laughter, glancing at her.

Butch saw the teacher taking Regan's phone, even though she knew Butch was on his. Butch walked up when the teacher was writing something on the board, not noticing when Butch took the phone from the desk. He was able to walk by Regan, dropping the phone on her lap, and taking a seat before the teacher turned around.

Regan glared at Zori when she noticed he had been trying to hold in his laughter, but it was more of a playful glare. "It's not funny" she whispered to him, lightly hitting his arm. She was smiling a bit herself. Regan was surprised that Butch got her phone back for her. She slipped it back in her pocket and turned around to look at him. "Thank you" she mouthed then faced forward again, deciding to actually do the work so she won't get in trouble again for now.

Butch saw that Regan was happy, which kind of made him feel alright in a weird sort of way. A little better than he felt pushing a dude into a locker for talkin shit anyway. He felt his phone vibrating, so he took it out and learned it was from Manny.

Manny's Text:

- I'm gonna kill u fool! Stupid punk azz wasn't supposed to win that fight! Watch your back in Washington!

It's a good thing Butch decided to smoke weed before reading that text; he probably would have overreacted. Instead, he felt happy. He couldn't explain it, it was a sort of morbid happiness that happens when all hope is lost. It was only a matter of time before either Manny, the principle, or the cops would kill him anyway. He was just happy it was happening sooner than later. 30 Grand? It can suck it. He'd pay someone 30 grand to wax him at this point. Butch stood up and only limped out of the class; without a word to anyone.

Zori snickered, grinning at Regan when she'd punched him lightly. He shrugged before watching as Butch had gotten the phone. He looked a bit impressed and his view of the guy slowly went up.

"That was nice of him. Risky yes- but nice." He said quietly to Regan.

As Butch slowly limped his way down to the principle's office, he pulled the fire alarm and went in. She jumped in surprise, but was slowly replaced with a scowl as soon as he went in.

" I want my money now; you'll never see me again. "

The principle sighed, then threw him a huge paper bag full of 20's. Equaling out to 30 grand. She crossed her arms.

" There's also a bag in there for you... I heard Manny wants you dead, you may as well just leave this state if you know what's good for you. This school would be better off without 'Bandit' causing trouble anyway. "

She slowly started to smile; even though it was unclear why.

" Now get the f*ck out of my office. "

Butch walked out without another word, then took the bag of Angel Dust out, putting it in his pocket. He saw hoards of students crowd the halls; making their way outside.

"I agree" Regan whispered back, watching as Butch got up and left the classroom without saying anything to anyone. Regan went back to her work until the fire alarm went off, making her jump in surprise. She watched as everyone started standing up to leave the classroom. She calmly stood up herself then started to walk out of the class, glad that she didn't have to do the work anymore.

As Regan made her way out of the classroom and started walking down the hallway; Butch appeared out if nowhere and handed her the bag of money. He whispered into her ear.

" Hide this at your house... If I don't come and get it by tonight; it's yours. Go straight home please... "

With those words, he left the school forever. He texted his goons to start multiple fights as the kids left; giving Regan enough of a distraction to leave.

Zori looked up in confusion at the fire alarm but said nothing, standing up himself and joining the line of everyone going out the doors of the school. He yawned a bit, stretching his arms out as he glanced around.

Solana had gotten a bit lost from the group and after a few minutes appeared near Zori and Regan, sending them both a small smile before looking around in surprise. "Fight!" She said, pointing at one as Zori saw another. "Whoa, what's going on?" Zori mumbled, looking around.

Butch went outside and sped off on his bike; shortly making his way home. Once there, he went toward a pad locked monkey box and opened it. It housed a scoped/flashlighted Tec9 with 5, 80 round drum mags. He put them in a bag and went back outside; starting up his bike and driving toward the main city.

Regan gave Butch a confused look and opened her mouth to say something but he had already left. She looked down at the bag. It had to be several thousands in it. Regan wondered where Butch got this kind of money from and quickly shoved it in her pocket so no one saw. She looked up at Zori and tugged on his sleeve. "I have to go" she said loud enough so he could hear over the loud noise.

Zori looked down at Regan in surprise. "What? Go? What are you talking about? That's considered skipping." He teased her. "Didn't know you were that much of a rebel."

Solana wasn't paying attention. She was doing her best not to get caught up in one of the fights that had broken out beside them.

"Come on, hey- Stop that!" She tried to yell over the chanting.

Zori glanced up at Solana, giving her a look before looking back down at Regan. His features now one of concern. "You okay? Do you need someone to go with you? I'll take you wherever it is you need to go." He offered.

Butch saw one of Manny's drug outposts; it was a small mobile home in the middle of nowhere. As he drove up, he took out his Tec9 from his bag, loading it with a drum. Four guys came out of the mobile home and started yelling, not seeing the Tec9 tucked underneath his sweatshirt.

" Yo Holmes! Manny don't like you anymore! You better bounce before he comes around cuz! "

Butch smiled, a little blood still coming from his gums from the other night. He spit on the ground and sighed to himself.

" Let's make some f*cking grass grow... "

Butch quickly pulled out the Tec9 and laid waste to the four thugs. Using up about 50 rounds. After they were all dead; he went inside and lit up a joint of Angel Dust to calm down, then took a small brick of pure cocaine; putting it in his bag.

"Yeah sure. Can you take me to my house?" Regan pulled him to the side so that they were away from everyone else. "I need to go there now. I'll tell you what's going on on the way there." Still holding Zori's arm, Regan dragged him away from the mass of students. She pushed past a few students to the other side of the building until they were in the school's parking lot.

Zori nodded his head and let her pull him away from the group.

"Yeah, okay." Zori said, nodding once again and apologizing to a few who turned to look at Regan with an angered look. He looked around the parking lot before pointing his finger at his car. "It's right over there." He said, this time taking a hold of Regan and guiding her to his car.
