Aarus Stasiva
The night was struggling for Aarus, to say the least. He had been tossing and turning in bed as the heat practically had him glued to the bed sheet, and so Aarus had no more than a shut-eye, compare to almost everyone else. Suddenly, the once biting, haunting frost of the North seemed all so pleasant to him.
The Sun rose, and came with it a jolt of shock that woke everyone within the premises almost simultaneously.
"All new students, report to the School Yard for class assignment."
Aarus bolted out of the bed and quickly changed into fresh clothing. The radiant beams of sunlight breathed life into whatever they touched on their path across the island, touching Aarus's face. The young man squinted as his hands, imbued with cool air, dived into his long, brown hair. The climate, he thought. Indeed the climate was too much for him to adapt overnight, someone from the frosty far North. But he didn't let his tired body distract his mind, for he had picked up some rumours from his yellow mates in the dorm: they were going to practice with their weapons today.
Aarus planned to impress everyone with his Holography magic.
Aarus exited the room and headed towards the School Yard, as was instructed, and then joined the other trainees, awaiting further instructions, when he noticed a Giant. To be honest, she wasn't so hard to miss - but didn't I see her before? Yes, at the line, to the Sorting Chambers. It did surprise Aarus, someone who had been so used to see Giants being 'mistreated', forced into labour up in the North. But he had been told that such 'mistreatment' and 'discrimination' weren't allowed on this island, so Aarus decided to come and greet his soon-to-be comrade.
He walked up to greet the Giant from her right, before speaking up, loud enough to catch her attention.
"Good morning! I'm Aarus, pleased to meet you."
