In a world set in a era like the 16th century. A world that has been infested with Demons and Monsters since creation. The Humans have been assaulted by these evil beings for millennia. But suddenly 600 years ago God sent his Angels down and gave humanity a gift, A divine way to fight back without using magic or other dark ways. This power helped humans put the powerful Damnations in there place. There are the only constant Guardians humanity has, The Elouids. The very first were Chosen by the Angels, The first of new warriors of The Lord.
A Elouid is Born from drinking the shimmering blood of Angels. They are then charged with the order to protect humanity from the Damnations. There human body then transcends into a superior form, Enhanced physical abilities along with supernatural skills such as regeneration, Longevity and a ability called a Blessing. The Elouids are people who for some reason are picked seemingly randomly by the clergy. They will come to your house, The shanty where you sleep and snatch you from your bed if they can. Once you are picked you will join either by choice or force. If you don't comply people who know will call you a selfish sinner, Faithless and other insults. People will not do business with you and your family. Sooner or later you are worn down and accept them, Vahtika. Once one becomes a Elouid you are granted holy power and a high status. What ever you where before doesn't hold any merit for you have been chosen by the Lord.
A Damnation, A Demon, Monster or False God. These are Demons from Hell and other creatures from the Dark Era. They are what torture humans and attempt to rule them. The Demons indulge themselves to sin, Vampires skulk into your home and drink your blood, The False Gods coax and coerce you to worship them once more like in the Dark Era at time before Vahtika.
The Vahtika, The organization that the Elouids serve. The Vahtika's current leader is Pope Fabian. He has a dozen people under him that truly give the orders for battle, The Cardinals. The Cardinals are made up of men who advise Pope Fabian. He is the one that decides the bigger things and give the greater orders that can overwrite a Cardinals'. The Cardinals are mostly none Elouid except with 1 among there ranks. This Elouid rank is called Grand Master of Elouids(Grand Master for short). The only one above the Pope are the Angels and God himself. The ones who gives The Pope orders are Raphael, Samuel, Gabriel and Micheal. They have never been seen before by anyone accept the current Pope and the ones before him. They have been the only worthy beings.
