Alex is shy, somewhat awkward, but highly suspicious of strangers. He’s a fan of shows like Game of Thrones, especially horror movies. Has a morbid sense of humor, and is prone to cracking jokes at the wrong time. Alex doesn’t drink, but occasionally smokes. He has a tendency to eat little, and a fondness for exercise.
Alex was five when he found his father shouting at his mother. He was frozen, terrified, until he saw him slap his mother. At that instant his vision went black, and he woke up in the hospital. He’d nearly ripped his father’s arms out, until his mother pulled him off. After that was extensive therapy, prescriptions and adoption, which dominated his life for years. Currently, he works as a janitor at a local factory.
Alexandrias has the power to summon impossible strength and skill in combat. When endangered, his reflexes and senses heighten, adrenaline pumping at an impossible level, and he knows exactly what to do. When he was eight, he shattered his father’s arms, and he’d likely be even stronger if he was able to use his power.
Alan is possessive and prone to fits of anger. He has a love for rings, books and movies. He’s more of an indoor person, working with little to no people. Alan seeks some form of approval and to be relevant in anything he does, yet the burden of responsibility is what he has a problem with. A private person, Alan can’t stand being watched over or interrupted in his daily tasks.
Alan works as a security guard near the industry section of the town. Watching over one of the factories at night. He stays in his cabin and reads or watches his tv-shows, often mumbling to himself about anything relevant. Sometimes he goes out for a smoke with one other man on his shift. They use walkie-talkies to communicate when on post.
His family consists of his older sister that helped him get a job and borrowed her car so he could get to work in time. Alan insisted to get an apartment away from her, but since she doesn’t have a family of her own, she compelled him to stay for a while until he gets back on the horse.
The power of magnetism was something he use to enjoy, but now forgot he even had. He would play with his zippo before, but now he only stares at it, extending his palm for some fabled excuse of trying to regain his ability. Alan was able to bend any metal to his will, ripping it from structures, stopping objects mid air, but he didn’t practice it and now he doesn’t even know if he would be able to lift a coin.
Alan doesn’t have a lot of stamina because of his job, but he learned some hand to hand combat because of the courses he had to take to get this job. He can handle a hand gun, since he has one and things like tasers and pepper spray.
He isn’t the best in social circles, but Alan can be steady and methodical. He doesn’t rush things and often tries to calculate his approach.

Those that know Em outside of her profession would describe her as being stoic and inaccessible, rarely opening up to others or up for particularly deep or lengthy conversations. She much prefers to blend into the background, people-watching and eavesdropping to her heart’s content.
Em currently works as a barback in a rundown restaurant owned by her parents on the shadier edge of town. They’re her adoptive parents of course, though she hardly remembers anything about her birth parents anyway. She vaguely remembers a warm touch and a specific lilac scent of what must have been her birth mother’s perfume or shampoo, but not much else. Anything else she knows has been told to her over the years by her current parents, though even that wasn’t much. All she knows for sure is that her birth parents gave her up shortly after Em was diagnosed with Uhlrich Syndrome around the age of 5. It’s barely manageable these days, and she’s probably about due for a medication adjustment within the next few weeks.
Em did very poorly in school, barely scraping by and managing to graduate. With her poor grades and her parents’ lack of funds, college or additional schooling of any kind was out of the question, and she was resigned to working out her days refilling drink coolers with ice and cutting assorted citrus fruits for the bar.
In her free time, Em enjoys light gardening in her parents’ backyard, since she’s still living at home, after all. She finds it calming and allows her mind to wander and try to listen to her neighbors’ arguments, problems, and lives, temporarily giving her reprieve from her own.
Em has been ‘blessed’ with the powers of intangibility and invisibility. If able to use and control them, she would be able to turn invisible at will and could pass through all objects, save for something like an electric fence or field with an active current running through it. If she were to pass through a thick object, she is able to breathe, but she could become stuck if distracted/electrocuted/etc.
When her powers were discovered, her birth parents had initially thought her kidnapped or worse, and spent the better part of an afternoon looking for Em, only to find her bawling her eyes out in her bed where they had previously left her for a nap. They were initially relieved before being struck again by the fact that she was seemingly stuck in the mattress, her intangibility allowing her to sink in before she awoke and panicked.
Outside of her powers, Em can make a pretty mean adult beverage, along with being strangely good with a knife and other such utensils because of her barback/gardening. She’s not particularly athletic, but she’s certainly in decent shape, as she runs often (more to clear her head than anything), and her gardening has given her decent arm strength.
Name: Imani Simone Hall
Nickname: 'Ro,' short for 'robot'
Age: 27
Gender: Female
Height: 5'4
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: Brown
Imani is, for all intents and purposes, nonexistent. Through a mix of her upbringing and the drugs she's been fed for 80% of her life, a once vibrant and excellent child became someone who can't produce genuine emotion of almost any sort. Most of her reactions are trained and predetermined, causing most of her acquaintances and coworkers to refer to her as a robot, and not a great one at that. To top it off, she's had almost the same routine every day since she settled into life outside of institutions.
Her true personality, however, is one that enjoys attention. Imani is truly extroverted and can be the life of any sort of gathering. She would be most comfortable making friends with almost anyone, but is quick to voice her opinions on those who she finds disagreeable, most commonly liars and bullies.
Fortunately for Imani, though seemingly unfortunately for all others involved, the medication that allowed her to become a (albeit barely) functional person was found rather quickly and she was dumped into foster care. At that point in her life, she still had flashes of her true self, one instance came when a married couple came to adopt, and were charmed by one of the last times Imani would be herself for a very long time. They didn't realize their 'mistake' for far too long, trying all they could to being about her true self once again, obviously to no avail. Over time, more children were adopted; four in total, and she was mostly left to her own devices.
Throughout her formative years Imani found solace in many kinds of video games, although other players would never be found in a game she picked up. These games would take her focus for hours or days at a time. Eventually, her parents decided it would be best for her to find a job, which she did to no objection; a convenience store within walking distance needed night workers, which conveniently allowed Imani as little interaction as possible. After all, it takes a lot of effort to fake too many emotions in one day. As such, her life fell into monotony. Working, playing video games, eating, and sleeping. There was, in a typical day, nothing more than that in her life. And it stayed that way for many years.
Imani's ability is not something innate; that being, if left in a room with no other tools, she would never discover what made her special, mind-numbing medications aside. She is able to utilize projectiles of any kind with perfect precision. Whether blindfolded or around a corner, if a shot is usually "technically" possible, she can almost certainly make it. Of course, precision does not equal accuracy. A faulty or makeshift weapon will require adjustments in aim that could only come with practice. To put it simply, a properly balanced throwing knife would never miss its target, while an office stapler is obviously not balanced or weighted to be thrown, and may land elsewhere.
Superpowers aside, Imani has almost no real-life skills, given her position at a convenience store for many years and a lack of drive to do better in any field. The only real skill she has is that of video games with any sort of aiming component. Even without her abilities shining through, she is slightly predisposed with the gift of aim.

Daniel is generally a quiet, unassuming young man. He is very soft spoken and avoids confrontation as much as possible. Although he tends to have a jovial demeanor, it is mainly a front to hide his own insecurities. He is selfless to a fault, caring and worrying about others with a disregard for his own wellbeing.
Daniel grew up in the welfare system. At the age of three, he was finally adopted into the home of a lovely young couple who could not have children of their own. However, it was quickly apparent that the child they adopted was more troubled than they originally thought. Just when Danny thought he had found a home, he found himself abandoned again.
Once he was “treated” and deemed fit for society, Daniel returned to his home though his relationship with his adopted parents had completely soured. As soon as he could, Daniel moved out, holding multiple odd jobs to make ends meet. Currently, he works as a plant nursery associate during the day and a warehouse stocker at night.
Before the treatments, Daniel has the power to manipulate electricity around him. As a child who did not understand his powers, he had a tendency to blow up every electrical appliance in house by overloading them with electrical energy. At one point, he shorted out to his entire house while “playing” with an electrical outlet. Due to his parents' fear and disapproval, Daniel never had a chance to develop his abilities.

Subject presents high on the Openness, Extroversion and Neuroticism scale utilizing the CANOE representation of personality traits. Subject presents moderately on the Agreeableness scale. Subject has been noted to test lower and lower on the conscientiousness scale through the years.
Observer has provided a brief verbose summary of Subjects nature as follows:
Genesis is kind as long as she is not antagonized. She exhibits repeated worry over her own performance in life which seems to be a sore spot. She retains a perceivable inability to perceive her surroundings to a normative standard, which makes her come across as jumpy. Genesis has repeatedly expressed annoyance with the provided therapy session, as per the quote "They're not helping! My life just keeps falling apart and I don't know how to stop it from doing so! Isn't that what this is supposed to help me with!?"
Subject diagnosed with Uhlrich Syndrome at age 5. After suitable treatment plan for associated symptoms was allocated subject was placed into a foster family consisting of one mother and father as well as two brothers. Subject remained in the care of the foster family until age 19, when subject transitioned into a 14 square meters apartment on the seventh floor of the Harrington Complex following a sizable time of inter-familiar unrest. Subject later found work as a waitress in a steakhouse on the street opposite the subjects residence, although lost said occupation following a possibly Uhlrich-related incident that saw the steakhouse shut down, see appendix A32 for details.
Subject has since remained within their place of residence, although have recent started working as a cashier for a local apparel store. Subjects notable online activity include numerous educational courses on, among others, the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Writing, Mathematics, Psychology, Traditional Dances, The History of Mesopotamia and How to be a better Salesperson. Subject rarely, if ever, finish the courses they start.
Subject has exhibited above average academic ability throughout their education.
Subject understand and speaks Spanish on a functional level.
Subject displays above average pain tolerance within human parameters.
Subject is a trained long distance runner.
Aberrant Behavior
Short range extrasensory perception and force manifestation. Referenced henceforth as ‘Geist’ at the behest of Doctor Wilhelm Steiner. Initial descriptions of Geist by subject are as follows.
“There are more of me, Doctor. I see through those eyes too, can you please tell the nurse to stop picking her nose, momma says it’s rude.”
Addendum: Subject was, at the time of stating the above quote, facing away from the nurse in question who was also out of the view of Doctor Wilhelm Stiner. The nurse in question has since been reprimanded for a lack of workplace hygiene.
Initial testing indicates the subject can receive visual input as if the subject was located anywhere within 1.42 meters of any point of the subject's body simultaneously to their own visual senses . The subject appears to need to move the source of this extrasensory perception or Geist, and has demonstrated to do so at a rate of approximately 1.4 meters per second. Geist appears able to move in this manner through all common materials, although no exotic substances have been tested.
The position of the extrasensory perception appears to stay relative to the subject if it moves without intentionally directing the Geist anywhere, even when the subject is not conscious. When asked to move the Geist beyond the earlier denoted boundary, the subject displays strain. When pressed, the subject eventually became unconscious from apparent mental strain.
As a secondary property, the subject appears able to manifest up to approximately 2 MPa of pressure from the current location of Geist. This pressure is applied in a rough geometrical circle of approximately five centimetre radius for a total of approximatley 15000 Newtons of force. For a rougher understanding, this translates to roughly three times as much force as produced by a punch from a professional heavyweight boxer. The subject describes the direction that this pressure is applied as coinciding with the current viewpoint of the Geist. Subject appears to be able to manifest this pressure indefinitely, although the process is exhausting to the subject, with the application of more pressure further tiring the subject and lessening the time they are able to manifest the pressure.
During enhanced tests, subject has demonstrated the ability to manifest multiple Geists simultaneous, although the subject find the process very taxing. Subject has been noted to manifest two Geists for an upper duration of 19.43 seconds, after which the subject lost consciousness. Subjects record manifestation is noted as three Geists for 2.43 seconds before losing consciousness.
Signs of dosage failure: Observer is instructed to observe the subject for behaviors coinciding with, to quote Doctor Wilhelm Steiner once more “Having eyes in the back of their head.” Recommended procedure includes providing threatening visual stimuli of the observers choice outside of subjects normal visual range.
Termination Protocol: Subject should, if necessary, be disposed of using long range weaponry to avoid unnecessary danger to personnel. While trained personnel would likely be able to dispose of the subject using close range methods, the risk is vastly amplified due to the potential damage that Geist could inflict.

Duncan has absolutely NO sense of fashion. His clothing usually consists of jeans, a t- shirt (preferably some dark color), and tennis shoes. He wears fingerless gloves.
No tattoos, piercings or jewelry.
He has scars from multiple gunshot wounds (left shoulder, right and left upper leg - left side got far worse), knife wounds (left stomach, left hand), broken ribs (worst is on lower right rib cage), and more (back covered with whip marks).
Weakness:
OCD (not extremely so. He’s not Sheldon from TBBT. But his books are arranged on his shelves by subject, alphabetized. When he buys groceries he organizes everything in neat rows and in set numbers - like 4 of everything. If bored he’ll start organizing everyone else’s stuff.)

Demophobia (fear of crowds. He can speak to an audience. He can teach. He can play for a band. But for him to get to the middle of a dance floor and he will be on the verge of a panic attack. He will hover on the edge of the room.)
Arachnophobia (yes, if a tarantula dropped on his arm he will scream like a little girl)
He is otherwise fearless.
Quirks:
Workaholic
He doesn’t DO social media. No Facebook. No Twitter. No … what are some others?
Bluntly honest. His friends know better than to ask him anything if they don’t want honesty. (He does try to be constructive. He can manage tact.)
Duncan currently works two jobs. One is working as a garbage sorter (at a recycling plant). The other is as an actor. No, not the sort of actor you would ask for an autograph from. More the sort who wears a mascot type costume and waves signs to bring in customers.
Duncan has an intellect that should have earned him doctorates by age 15 and probably a Nobel Prize soon after. But the meds have stolen his ambition and left him in a fog. He has tried to write a book, as well as comics, but can’t seem to organize his thoughts to complete one.

Power - Teleportation Bubbles. His power requires an energy source, usually electrical. He is literally able to summon lightning under reasonable circumstances. Unfortunately he does feel some of the jolt he gets with the power source is that large and it could leave him in need of serious hospitalization.
The energy he uses creates a pair of force fields related to an Alcubierre effect and a Krasnikov tube. In effect it has a castling effect. All matter within the volumes on either end exchange places - without altering orientation. In other words, if he arrived on the other side of the planet he would be upside down. Also, he has to be very careful with large volumes and distances to account to the Earth’s rotation. He could arrive in the sky - or travelling at a hundred mph or worse.
The two force fields are rainbow hued with the blue ends pointing at one another.
There is an EMP effect within the spheres that will wipe credit cards. This is actually the result of hypergic energy differentials. It will also cause damage to crystalline objects like gems, as well as the lattice structure of metals. It will also cause unstable compounds to destabilize and explode. This would include gasoline, gunpowder, and ATP (adenosine triphosphate - the substance in the human body responsible for bursts of energy). Fortunately the ATP in the human body is in a form and concentration that doesn’t cause people to explode. But it can leave them weak and exhausted.

Lori is exceptionally shy. She has difficulties with being around crowds. She has mild agoraphobia. But most of this stems from a fear of being tracked down by the people who killed her parents and left her crippled. Some might say she is paranoid. But they really ARE out to get her.
She is very easy to read, her body language practically broadcasting her nervousness even in costume. She has a very kind and generous heart. She looks for heroes with characteristics to live up to and goes out of her way to help them.
Lori is an avid reader - absorbing everything from Sci Fi and Fantasy, to harlequin romances, to classic literature. She absolutely loves sushi and orders it daily from the small Chinese / Japanese restaurant under her apartment.
MMORG’s - She plays WoW.
Lori’s father, Christopher von Straad was born in South Africa and raised in the last violent decades of Apartheid. Von Straad had one thing going for him. He was a genius. He was not, however, a political extremist and that brought him no end of trouble. He had been rising through the ranks as the movers and shakers of the Apartheid Party began to notice his work. To have their potential poster boy speak against the Party line - even in a passing comment had von Straad in an office getting lectured and questioned. He was warned not to let his political views stray.
He had been on the verge of making great strides that would have given South Africa considerable advantages in their Space Program when he decided he had had enough and chose to defect. He didn’t really care where to - just away. This was how he met his future wife.
Natalya Stepanovich, aka Tabitha von Straad, was a Power Engineer from Russia. She found herself in a similar train of thought. She had been working in part of the nuclear disarmament program.
Each had their own reasons for defecting and fleeing their governments. But they found themselves forced into a situation of working for even worse people who sought only to use their knowledge for dark purposes. And the greater misfortune was that they met, fell in love and bore a daughter. That daughter is now known as Lori Stevens.
In 2014 this family was in the USA along the west coast and tried to make a run for it. But they were hunted down by a flight of black Sikorskis in northern California and strafed, forcing them to go off the road. Lori was thrown clear, but suffered a back injury that left her wheelchair bound. The last thing Lori saw of her parents was the Sikorski’s launched a salvo of rockets at the van they had been driving, obliterating it. Lori believes her parents are truly long dead.
Lori suffered a severe back injury when the Blackhawks chased them down and blew their car off the road. She was dragged away by what looked like a war veteran dressed oddly and suffering from post traumatic stress. He never gave his name. He flagged down a lone trucker headed south and managed to drop the girl off at a church called St Michael’s. The monks there just told her she was brought in by a random stranger. That was where she took her hacking alias from.
St Michael’s recognized that she was in need of sanctuary and transferred her quickly to their mission in NYC as soon as she was stable enough to move. She later left the protection of the Church, fearing the organization would discover her there and kill every monk to get to her. She became homeless at first, with nothing more than the wheelchair that the monks gave her.
Her parents had set up offshore accounts in the event of a rainy day. She used these funds to set herself up in an apartment above an Asian restaurant (she loves sushi). She bought herself a better wheelchair. And she left a healthy donation to the Church – along with her wheelchair.
She bought (with cash of course) a plethora of computer equipment and set up her own intranet. Her apartment looks like Houston Space Center. She began building a database on the activities of organized crime - her chief interest being the very people that put her in a wheelchair. But she is fumbling in the dark and knows it. She may be extremely intelligent, but she simply doesn’t know where to really start. And she is afraid of tipping the organization off.
Unlike the others, Lori has never been discovered. But being the conspiracy nut that she is, she discovered the Uhlrich Syndrome plot and began to investigate. Eventually she decided to take action.

Power:
Insubstantial (partial or complete, can carry up to small items). This ability is so refined that she can literally allow a bullet to pass through one part of her body without making the rest of her intangible.
Mindshare (Random Stranger sense) with possession (100 miles) This is a complicated ability. She only senses what those people sense, sight, hearing, etc, not their secrets. This will ONLY work with people who aren’t concentrating on something - like math, reading a book, etc.
Possession: She can possess anyone of those people and Transform them into Random Stranger, possibly becoming male. But she uses this ability with great discretion as doing to places those people’s bodies at great risk. When using this ability her body remains behind … and vulnerable.
Transformation (into Random Stranger) - almost instantaneous.
Weaknesses: Wheelchair bound - when not transformed, she has no use of her legs.
Kira is a short tempered young woman with a strong rebellious streak. The kind of person you'd find having a drunk screaming match outside the club at 2 in the morning. She's known to have a substantial drinking problem in order to cope with her life. There is rarely a time you'll find her completely sober, not that it really helps her feel any bit better.
She has a soft spot for dogs and is deep down a very compassionate person; at least she would be if she would learn how to cope with her own issues. She does kick boxing in her free time in order to get out some of her aggression and anger. She has trouble flirting and maintaining relationships, often pushing people away due to her trust issues. She also has had a very difficult time holding down a job for more that a few months.
She lives a very minimalistic life style, not by choice but out of lack of money to afford many materialistic items. If she had a perfect life she'd live in a big house with a lot of dogs where she could cook grand meals for friends and family.
She doesn't remember her real family, having been taken away at only 3 years old. She spent well over half her current life in the mental ward, with many of the medications not working on her. It wasn't until she was 12 she was finally put into her first foster family. She was fine for some years till there was an incident in which she started a fire in the living room when her foster sibling was bullying her. Having no idea what happened she felt betrayed when she went back to the ward. With a stronger medicine she was sent to a new family, now 17, and all was fine. Though she never felt at home or part of the family causing her to simply acting as a rebellious teen.
She now lives on her own in a small apartment and currently working at a call center.
Smart but not well studied
Fabulous cook
pyrokinesis/fire aura
Her ability is mainly limited to creating an area around herself consumed with fire. The area of fire typically starts out as a circle with a 5 foot radius around her which can spread, recede, and extinguish at will. As well as prevent it from touching certain people or things. She is immune to being burned as well and generally has a very warm body allowing her to handle some extreme cold.
