I'm close to finished with a boardgame mod that I'm getting ready to play test. Essentially a medieval version of Twilight Imperium. I am a huge fan of that game and thought I would give it a shot on here, mix in some RP elements too.I been brainstorming on the whiteboard before I make the map digital. (Maybe someone could help?) I find I work out ideas quicker that way.
There are 4 factions with a fifth person acting as host and referee for the game.
Super Brief overview, no pretty pictures. (Not yet)
Set in an alternate medieval universe, etc. The 4 faction archetypes and their general playstyles are.
Drunk Northman: aggressive
Kilt wearing tribesman (also drunk): resourceful
The Knights who say "Nimph!": Balanced
Those greedy Roman bastards again: Wealthy
Factions are assigned randomly. This is still a WIP, but only days from being ready to play. Twilight Imperium is really the best boardgame out there, and tweaking the rules is easier than I thought.
