In the small town of BerryWood, many strange things had started to happen. In the past month at least ten people had gone missing without a single trace to find them. Everyone knew everyone in this town so when people started not showing up to work, it was very alarming. Friends, families, coworkers, there was no pattern to the missing people; thus making it so hard to find any information on the Kidnappers. That was the name the town had started calling these people, Kidnappers. The police of the BerryWood had been working day and night to find any evidence to link the missing people. Searching bars, homes, questioning everyone if they saw anything, but they still had nothing. It got to a point where they started to close down schools, parents kept their kids inside at all times, and the town went into lockdown. Everyone was scared for their life and their family's life, no one wanting to step foot outside the safety of their home. However, one night during the lockdown, one of the Kidnappers broke into the police station. They held everyone in there hostage for the whole night, no one but the people working there that night knew about it.

That was until the next day. The sheriff was killed and hung in the middle of town, displaced for everyone to see. Written in his own blood, on a huge banner above him, it read Don’t hide from us. You’ll be next. Due to the lockdown, it took a while before the news got around to everyone. The police who were left tried their best to hide it, not wanting to alarm the town more than they already would. They quickly got the body down the next day, but they were too late. One of the citizens had seen the Sheriff hanging through his window and the word spread. Feeling like a lost cause, the police started to recruit the citizens to help. Volunteers, to help with the search of the Kidnappers. They were desperate and were willing to get any help they could.

However, the closer the citizens got to the police, and in this case, the stranger the situation had become. Whoever these Kidnappers were, they weren’t normal, weren’t human. The police were hiding something about their file that the public wasn’t allowed to know. And the citizens slowly became aware of it, lost their trust in the police force. It wasn’t until one of the missing persons showed up dead, the same way as the Sheriff, with the same styled message above: One down, nine to go. We are watching.

That was when people really started to question the police and their motives in the whole case. The town was in complete chaos now, the people vs the police, people vs people. It’s like people forgot who the actual problem was; the Kidnappers. It was exactly what the Kidnappers wanted.

Now the town had to figure out what they were going to do, figure out the messages, find out who or, what, the Kidnappers were, if they could even trust the police anymore.

The
Citizens

Locked doors, boarded up windows, the citizens were in complete panic mode. With the second killing everyone was terrifyed for their life and couldn't trust anyone. Half of the town didn't trust their neibours or any of the people around them. The other half were ready to attack the police and get answers. The town was torn apart due to these Kidnappers, everyone ready to jump at anyone at anytime.

Hardly anyone was seen outside of their houses now, only to get food from the food bank. The police had stationed certain buildings, called food banks, with enough food supply for two whole weeks. They stationed these food banks as close as they could to the citizens so they wouldn't have to travel far; however, it was still far for some citizens. After each food trip or any trip outside, the police would come to the citizen's house and question them if they saw anything new.

Recrutied
Citizens

These citizens were ready to fight, angry, wanting reveange on the Kidnappers. The police, desperate after still having no clues to who these Kidnappers were, started to take volutneers. Thus the Recrutied were formed. They had to go through a small week of training; learning how to use a weapon, a few physical corses, and one class about how to control the cizitens and what to do if confronted by a Kidnapper. All the Recrutied stayed in the small motel beside the police station, each person in their own room. The police wanted them to stay close by at all times so they were forced into stay here.

Each Recruited was left with a pistol handgun, with them at all times, and a bulletproof vest. They had more weapons they were assigned to, but those stayed at the police station locked up. They were assigned patrol roles every day, one shift from six am to noon, next was noon to six pm, next was six pm to midnight, and lastly was midnight to six am. However, sometimes they didn't have enough people to work every shift. Some people ended up doing double shifts and it was exhausting, feeling like a useless job to some. A lot of them wanted to work more with the crime, find the Kidnappers, and look for the missing kids. They didn't want to patrol the town from dusk till dawn; they wanted to look for these murders.

As time went on, the second body found by one of the early patrollers, the Recruited pushed to be more involved. The wanted the Police to tell them more, know what they were hiding. They were planning on breaking into the station one night to get the case files. Or anything that would tell me more about what they were up against. They couldn't take doing silly tasks anymore, they cared about the missing people and the safety of their friends, neighbors, families, and lovers.

The
Police

The Police were in full charge, compeletly owning the town. They said they were doing everything they could to keep the town safe, find the missing people and the Kidnappers. They have been working day and night to find new information; however, they did find something. One, the Kidnappers weren't human and another thing they were not going to reveal. The cops were acting very suspicious after this, staying close to each other and keeping their files on lockdown. They didn't want the people, or anyone, to find out about the Kidnappers. They had to protect them.

Even when an FBI was brought into town after the second killing, the cops did not reveal everything. They did not like or want the FBI to be involved in their town's business. They tried their best to stay as far away from the guy as possible, not telling them anything they didn't have to. The Police were hiding something.

The
Missing

The missing had woken up in a dark, stone room with a dirt floor. There was hardly any light at all down here, everyone waking up feeling gruggy and out of it, like they were drugged. Some of them couldn't remember things, others vividly knew what happened. After one person had been taken from a small hole in the celiing, shining a bright light into the dark area that blinded many of them, the missing started to really panic. That one person had not returned and no one knew what happened to them. However, everyone down here figured it was not good.

They planned together that if the door opened again, they would try to look around and get clues to where they were. Find out anything they could about the space around them. Some people wanted to work together and get out, others didn't trust everyone. They were starting to bicker and fight the more they were down here, only some wanting to try and work together to get out. Would they turn on each other or get out?

The
Kidnappers

They were a very mysterious group, no being ever the same. Everyone had their own powers, their own reason, with a tunnel system underneath the whole town. They only had one rule; one kill per being. No one could kill more than one person at a time. However, some Kidnappers were very greedy and didn’t want to follow rules. They wanted to be in charge, no work with anyone. That was until a strange, a human, offered them a deal. They would be safe.
