Fandom Tokyo Ghoul Re:Master

When the man first arrived in the foyer Corvo was relieved. It was, for him, a chance to put the girl down and clean himself off. A chance to finally get the situation sorted out with the CCG and to understand what his mission was here. But, as all things seemed to have been going, nothing was going according to plan. As the man drew his sidearm and leveled it in Corvo's direction, the Romanian's eyes narrowed as his grip grew reflexively tighter around the girl as he readied himself for potential trouble.

Keeping his tone low as to not awake the girl, Corvo spoke, "I would personally advise putting that right back where it belongs, friend. If you do anything, at all, for any reason, to put this child at risk, when I am finished with you I will personally see to it that the anti-rogue Ghoul forces of Romania have absolutely nothing to do with Japan or the CCG. Furthermore you will then have to explain, and yes, I would leave you alive, but I digress, you would have to explain to Japan why Romania has then barred any and all travel to or from this.... frontier style free for all."

Stepping forward as if daring the man to risk the child's life, and also because he knew he could turn at least fast enough to that he would take the bullet and she wouldn't, Corvo walked towards the RC gates and grunted, nodding towards them.

"Now, turn one of these off so I can find a place to put this girl down, and get your boss down here so that I can have a proper introduction to your rag tag CCG and, if you even do them, debrief on what I've encountered since I've arrived."

Leon nodded and realized that this man was at least some kind of special operative from an organization he had heard of. He saw the guards drawing their weapons in response to Leon's reaction, but Leon commanded the men to stand down and de-escalate the situation. "He's on our side, put your weapons down," Leon ordered them. The guards quickly holstered the weapons and one of them went to the desk and hit the shutoff switch for the RC Gates to allow the man to step through without being scanned. "Alright, whatever your name is, the gates are off, you're free to come in. I'm the highest ranking officer on duty right now so I'll see you up in my quarters once the girl is taken care of. You can ask the lovely receptionist over there where everything is around here. Glad I'm not the only foreign Counter Ghoul Unit around here," he said to the ragged man. The agent then holstered his weapon and walked back into the building and roamed back down the halls to his room as if nothing happened, waiting for whoever that person was to show up once he had taken care of his business around the CCG Office.

"Oh sorry, did I scare you sir?"

Haise blinked at the sabertooth mask, his eyes darting from the sewer the person who just exited to the person's mask. Something was obviously off about this. A Rank 3 Investigator could have realized what was going on it was so obvious. He could tell by her skin-tone she wasn't around here, not to mention the fact he'd heard bits of English just a few moments ago. This person could have easily been a tourist though, one who happened to just own a mask in the shape of a sabertooth' skull. Though the only thing to contribute to that theory was the fact that she gave no hint that she was aware Haise was an Investigator. The white coat and briefcase would have been a red flag for any native ghoul.

Haise was exhausted. He didn't want to fight anyone else today, and he certainly had no intention of starting a fight now. But at the same time..his duty as an Investigator told him to handle this very obvious ghoul. Haise had no information on this person though, no name, no rating..it's not like he could just start a fight. What if they had a kakuja, or were like that other guy?

What should he do?

A few moments passed between the two, with Haise frozen in place before he let out a sigh. His head drooped down slightly, and the grip on the briefcase containing his quinque loosened just a tad. "I.." He began to speak before raising his free hand up and rubbing his eyes. "Just go home. Walk down the alley and take a right..train station should be about less than half a kilometer." Haise truly realized just how exhausted he was when he heard himself speak. "I'll..I'm letting you go this time."

No ambush, no other doves and a man so obviously as tired as she was. Bakko relaxed some, the mouth of her mask opening as she yawned. She eyed the man up and down and nodded. "Looks like the both of us need some sleep." She said before turning away from him and beginning to walk down the alley. "Good night and safe travels. There are some mean ones out tonight I hear." It wasn't until she almost turned the corner and slipped out of sight where she finally took off the mask and slipped it into her pack. Hoping that the man didn't see her face, she picked up the pace until she was close to the train station.

If she were to be honest, the 15th ward at night wasn't too bad. She had only had a few run ins with ghouls that intended to harm her and even then they were either able to be reasoned with or swiftly dealt with. Other than that, the stores were plenty and sold decent coffee, but there was no place that sold decent coffee beans around here. A bit of a hindrance since the best place she had found to get them was in the 1st ward and going there was like walking into a dragon's cave. Ill-advised at best and deadly at worst. But this night was old and she had three cats that surely missed her.

The train station was smooth sailing as usual as not many people rode the train this time of night. She mused that most people here had the same thought; get home and sleep or just relax. And since train stations were free of idiots fighting one another, she popped in her earbuds. J-pop and bangers from home let her mind drift as she waited for the train back to her place. At the very least she could get some sleep tonight.

Tremki Kaguya, "Abbaddon" & Marx "The Rainmaker"

"People are just like birds, cause' birds all want to fly free ~"

Location - 24th Ward; Sewage Level

Two figures suspended in the air, the whole affair seemed to move slower than usual but Tremki could hardly notice over all the other noises in his ears. The echoing sound of battle flowing throughout the sewers, further into the depths of the 24th Ward...Tremki’s assault of sorts had failed on most fronts, his legs deflected away and setting off his mid-air balance to make it capable to also avoid his clenched fist blow and now they were both in the air. Tremki free falling from above, facing down onto Marx he gave the figure a sinister glance accompanied by an equally so grin stretching across his seemingly innocent childlike face. The figure Tremki knew only as ‘Black Dove’ moved his arm again for the sleeve of his coat and at that moment, Tremki noticed something golden shining from beneath the coat - Tremki’s anticipation sharpened at the one possibility which floated in the corners of the child’s mind.

There was little time to react and little opportunity for a full evade for what was coming next, as it was at this moment the ‘Black Doves’ secret from under his coat had been revealed to Tremki, more koukaku spikes were heading right for him only this time, instead of a single multiple had been shooting at his direction. Using the motion his body was already heading, Tremki rotated his body to expose his back towards the spikes instead of his front - flailing his limbs with the rotation the maneuver had been made in a fraction of a second, and from the damp darkness of the tunnels an illuminating light engulfed the position around Tremki at a couple feet radius; two kagune crow-like wings protruding from his shoulder region. The width and size of the wings themselves were roughly around the same size as Tremki himself, deflecting the koukaku spikes which had been sent his way Tremki had now unleashed his kagune for the ‘Black Dove’ to see, once he had deflected the koukaku and finished his full three-sixty degree rotation in the air, the extra ukaku limbs were then used to direct the movement of Tremki, in this case attempting to heavily crash down on the current position of Marx - however this changed as quickly as it happened, resulting instead in Tremki landing almost silently on the solid ground below him and eerily close to Marx.

This was because Tremki had picked up something strange, not only a vague scent that Tremki had already become very familiar but the voice of someone masqueraded by the distance shadows of the sewers had caught the attention of anything that would have been in the sewer-way at that time by yelling at the both of them; something about being too loud. What made this strange, is Tremki could have almost sworn he recognized the voice already “Black Crow-Chan?” the childish ghoul asked in a seemingly innocent childlike tone, his ukaku giving off a kagune-red illuminating glow in the darkness of the labyrinth.

Seeing his attack had failed, Marx had promptly rolled out of the path of the oncoming attack preemptively. The kagune seemed to be some kind of ukaku kagune with a crow-like nature. Whilst not being overly unique, Marx was sure to be careful - there was no telling what these monstrosities were hiding up their kagune nowadays. Now in a kneeling position after having swiveled up from his roll, the associate special investigator looked up as well to see a new figure. ‘Black Crow-chan’, as it were.

Saying nothing still, Marx took a moment to get to his feet. So far the fight had been… stimulating, to say the least, but it wasn’t quite what he was looking for. Something else, something else… Turning his body slightly to face the newcomer, the two individuals would begin to feel an aura, a dark aura, one of malicious intent. Of bloodlust. Emanating from his very being, like waves of power washing over their instinctual sixth senses.

“Leave.”

There was no mistaking that tone. Nor that voice. Raspy, strained, low, painful to hear, damaged. It was the voice of a person that had experienced countless horrors and would go about their lives trying to recreate them, perhaps out of a sense of justification. Even so, the single eye glared out from the mask and conveyed all else that needed to be said to the man.

A koukaku spike shot down from Marx’s sleeve and he grabbed it before it struck the ground. Taking less than a second to spin it in his hand skillfully, he set it steady at his side as he prepared for combat from either the man or Tremki. This man was either a dove interrupting what he shouldn’t be involved in, or he was another ghoul to be exterminated. Either way, he was unfortunate to have stumbled upon the two at such a time. Marx wouldn’t tolerate anymore interruption and his creations were getting restless from all the waiting….Tremki returned a curious glance at the koukaku spike structure, almost as if admiring its colors.

Episode 1 Recap:

Leon Kennedy, an American CCG Agent, begins has tour in Japan. His assignment is to become the leader of a new team of half ghouls that the Japanese CCG is forming called the "Quinx." With these young investigators, gifted with ghouls powers, they hope to eradicate the ghoul presence from Japan once and for all. While on duty, he meets one of the new members his squad, Haise Sasaki. The two of them are given an assignment which leads them into the suburban 15th ward where they encounter the S-ranked ghoul known as "Hokori." Together along with the young CCG prodigy, Nami Waters, they defeat Hokori in convincing fashion, however he escapes and his current whereabouts are unknown.

Elsewhere in the 15th ward, a ghoul by the name of Kuroko encounters briefly, the terrifying investigator, Marx Hawthorne, aka "The Rainmaker." The two have an exchange of words but part ways, none the more suspicious of the other. In the 19th ward another ghoul by the name of Kaori is violently mugged by a group of high school boys. Her fate remains unknown. Marx leaves the 15th ward and then encounters another ghoul known as "Abaddon" while in the 24th ward.

Back now in the 15th ward office, Leon encounters a new stranger. Recognizing him as a counter ghoul operative, Leon invites him into the CCG Building while Haise, now recovered from his injuries from battle, explores else where.

Opening plays. Haise lays down in an open field. Stretching out his arm to the sky where his hand is greeted by the one of his former self. The two look at each other for a moment and realize that they need each other and grasp one another's hands, triggering the title sequence. (0:00 - 0:41). Portraits of different characters garner passing glimpses as the camera goes from one part of the city to another in different settings and poses reflecting of their personality and situations. (0:42 - 1:10). These somber portraits of the different characters are then burned as a fire engulfs them. Bringing to life each character as each does some sort of action reflecting their weapon of choice or relevance to the story. Leon rolls out of the way of an attack and fires a couple shots from his pistols leading into a shot of Hanako and Juuzou teaming up together to strike an unseen enemy, most likely Eto. Marx uses his quinque to launch a flurry of attacks while Hokori and Abaddon fluidly dodge each attack. Santeru brushes the rim of his iconic red hat as he smiles devilishly and his glasses gleam in the darkness. Bakko, Remi, and the rest of the supporting cast receive a passing shot as the previous fades away into a burnt photograph with Haise being the last ghoul in the photo. Haise is then revealed to not be holding the hand of Ken Kaneki, but a picture just like the portraits taken earlier in the opening. He lets go of the picture and lets it blow away, rising from his spot in the field as he trudges forward to a make a path for himself, not determined by his past. The music fades away. (1:10 - 1:41)

Photo-shoots in the middle of November were annoying. Photo-shoots on a day where she thought she had the day off was even more so.

The shoot in 16th ward's advertisement agency was fitness this time. And being ripped in comparison to her co-workers made it so that she was roped into this one too. The good news about this was that she was able to keep her the clothes that she was flaunting for the camera. A set of tight galaxy print running leggings and blue glitter speckled sports bra. Not something she'd wear out on the town aside from to the gym and back.

The bad news?

The was the only clothing she had due to a fuck up with the building's washer eating the clothes she had worn there from the gym.

It was incontinent, it was annoying, but at least she was let free for now. But walking out on the street with this and no jacket was more of a hassle. Humans everywhere, some walking up to her and asking for a picture and others just gawking. This did nothing for any sort of stalking she wanted to do later. She shrugged and plopped herself down on a bench once she was far enough away from the fray of people and leaned back. Days like this were nice, if not a bit chilly. People were out to watch, no pigeons wandering the streets for the time being and no idiot ghouls making trouble. It was sort of relaxing just to people watch. Bakko closed her eyes for what she meant to be a few seconds but quickly dozed off. Maybe more than just a few hours sleep was needed after the night before.

Kenny Ashikaga
Location: 16th Ward

It's been two hours since Kenny's plane landed in Hanade Airport and he's already seen 20 CCG Investigators. Tokyo was a busy city, no doubt, but this many Investigators within the span of 15 km was a bit off setting. Then again, the city itself was almost 10 times larger than Madison, Wisconsin, his birthplace, so it would be reasonable to think there are more ghouls. Though Kenny had taken his Rc suppressants before he started his trip, he took another injector just to be safe.

Kenny was traveling from Ward 20 to Ward 16. There was nothing too important there, but since it was his first time in Tokyo, he figured he would go visit J-World, the anime theme park. Kenny was always a huge nerd, and just couldn't resist such a place. The cab he was riding soon stopped at a park near the theme park. He silently paid the exorbitant taxi fare, unable to argue with his middle-school level Japanese. Damn. 12000 yen for a cab ride? That's just too much.

Kenny kept in mind that he would have to brush on his Japanese enough to pass off as a local, or else he'll keep on being cheated by those dang taxi drivers. He pulled on the backpack containing his quinque and took his duffel out of the trunk, slinging it over his shoulder. He had to go through a park to get to J-World, so he walked as casually as a 6'2" Japanese American could in Tokyo. As he passed by an area with relatively few people, he smelled another ghoul, and a strong one at that. He looked around to find a dark-skinned woman wearing nothing but tights and a sports bra napping on the bench. She was definitely a foreigner, cause no one dresses like that if they're born in Japan, even Kenny knew that.

Against his better judgement, but definitely according to his guy parts, he approached her. She wasn't fully asleep, just beginning to fall asleep. Kenny pulled from his duffel, an old hoodie and offered it to the woman in English, "You should really cover up. Who knows what people might think of you if you're dressed like that?"

Everynow and again Bakko would snooze in public from being worn down. Wether it be from runs that ran late in the night or making a run for it from a dove that noticed her and tried to come after her the night before. Normally, she'd have headphones in to keep her from waking up for three to four minute. This was one of those times where not even headphones wouldn't have helped. The scent of a ghoul getting closer to her forced her back to consciousness, but her eyes were still closed. It was the comment that made her open her eyes and look at him.

"I would if I could Sugah." she chuckled simply. She eyed him up and down and smirked. He was cute, reminded her of an Ex and shrugged. "The company washer ate mah normal clothes. All I got is a shawl." Her deep southern English drawled as she stood up and stretched. She came eye to eye with him in height, and looked ripped enough to justify wearing fitness wear outside of a gym, but she noticed something about this kid that made her grin before taking the hoodie and quickly making herself at home in it.

"Bless ya heart sugah, you too kind." She patted his shoulder like he were an old friend. "Although you don't sound like you from around here, boy. Where you headed?" Now she was curious, not many normal ghouls would do her a solid like this without some kind of plan. Then again, alot ghouls make their plans by the seat of their pants and she was no exception. He didn't smell exceptionally strong, in fact he smelled around the same level as most of her customers. Not a bad thing, but part of her expected not so see him again after this encounter. But with no doves around, she was at least able to relax some. Its not like her agent was gonna call her back in after a really long shoot.

The woman's voice held a heavy southern accent. So she was American too... He can tell she knew he was a ghoul too, and with how she relaxed she seemed, his suppressants were definitely working. "I'm from Wisconsin, so yeah, definitely not from around.

"As for where I'm headed, I'm going to J-World, that anime theme park over there." Kenny turned toward where he was going and pointed the World Import Mart. He chuckled a bit and then said, "It's a bit nerdy, but its my first time here in Tokyo, so why not?"

This is my chance right here. Gonna get her to hang out a bit, have a little chit-chat and then we'll go back to her place... Agh, what the heck am I thinking? Kenny brushed anyway his dirty thoughts and offered her the first part of his plan. "But it's not like I reserved tickets or anything, so you down to get some coffee? I can always come back here another time."

Bakko made a pained expression and glanced towards the direction of J-world. "You's a smart one. J-world's closed due to someone bein'...messy. Pigons were everywhere this mornin'." She groaned, annoyed that her normal running route had being detoured for the second time that week due to some dip-shit going into a feeding frenzy. Makes nights more difficult for her and other ghouls in the long run.

She sighed and stuffed her hands into the pockets of the hoody, tilting her head to the side. "Well since it's your first time in Tokyo, might as well show you around to the good places since I'm off the clock for now." She smirked before grabbing her bag and hooking her arm around his. "And also to keep you from being basically robbed by some of the shops. Some places will talk circles around you if you ain't careful." A playful smile and slight purr, the man wasn't a threat to her and she was bent on enjoying at least one day without her agent bugging her for something again. Lord knows he'll call at the most inopprotune times. Day or night.

Haise Sasaki

Haise stared up at the ceiling as he laid there in bed. The sunlight bleeding through the blinds of his window a few feet away. His sleep that night had been quite restless. Waking up off and on through the night, the occasional feeling of being in a cold sweat. His sleeping had done more to add to his exhaustion than relieve in. Nothing he could do about that though. He had to get to work. He rose up from his bed with a small groan, running a hand through his two-toned hair as he stepped out from the small bedroom he resided in. Subconsciously sidestepping the small pile of books that risked he stepped on, he lazily head into the bathroom. Make a shower would make him feel a bit more awake.

--

The shower had helped, but not by much. Haise adjusted his tie while his free hand rose his freshly brewed coffee up to his lips. He had remembered to let it cool down before taking a drink this time. He let out a satisfied sigh as he set the cup back down, grabbing hold of his white coat and sliding it on. A quick button-up of the coat and adjustment of his shoes and he was set. Quickly downing the rest of his warm drink, he set the now empty cup down next to the sink and made his way to the door. Was he meant to meet with Leon somewhere? He picked up the briefcase which held his quinque and looked at himself in the mirror just as he opened the door. He looked exhausted. "Well...maybe it'll be an easy day today." He mused to himself as he left, locking the front door behind him as he left.

Hanako Yamada

"GOOOOOD MORNING SASAKI-KUN!!!!" The girl burst through the doors into the halls of Sasaki's Dormitory, ran down the halls, and greeted Haise by latching onto his arm. Hanako was definitely in a better mood than the day before, after receiving a call from Leon saying that she would be assigned to deal with Haise for that day instead. It was essentially a double win for her as she couldn't stand the thought of having to deal with Investigator Suzuya for another minute after their time the day before and she got to stick around new people. "Investigator Kennedy said he will be busy with some other work today, so he had me reassigned to look after you today," she told him gleefully. She then let go of his arm and decided to introduce herself properly, "My name is Hanako Yamada, 1st Class Investigator, its a pleasure to meet you, Haise Sasaki-kun."

Elric Blackmar

the sounds of telephones ringing, and papers being shuffled here and there were like music to his ears, as he strolled down an endless hallway of doors,"Office 567" he said to himself, as he scanned for the correct number on one of the doors present to him. as he searched, people moving from one area to another were bumping into him, as they went on there daily lives.Elric's eyes widened when he found the correct door with the exact number he was searching for, "ah finally" he said as he approached the door, and stood in front of it. he then took a deep breath and exhaled with exhaustion, he then firmly gripped the door handle and entered the office area. once he entered, he saw a man with dark blue hair, wearing a suit and tie, sitting in a rolling chair, while filling out some papers and other requests from his higher-ups. Elric smiled and waved at the man, "hey boss hows it hanging," he said with a friendly but worn out voice, the man looked at Elric for a brief moment, before looking back at his assignments and sighing, "I'm doing well, how about you?" Elric then leaned against a wall across from the man and said "Im-I'm good", there was a long silence before the two looked each other in the eyes, the man sighed once more before saying "what do you want now?", Elric grinned at him asking that question, "I want to be assigned to another hunt, this time without a partner", the man face flashed with frustration, and he began to rub his temples "look kid.....um....I'm sorry but the answer is no", Elric's face went from snarky to angry in a matter of seconds when he heard that response "but why! I'm strong and certainly capable of taking on one or two ghouls by myself!", the man then propped his legs up on his desk and said "that's not true, listen, you have potential il give you that, but your ignorant, you lack in teamwork, and refused to use the quinqeu we offered you, now that you have heard my final answer, please leave my office now" "but" "now!"The man said as he got up from his chair, and grabbed Elric by the collar, and tossed him out of his office, and slammed the door shut. Elric landed on his butt with disappointment spelled on his face "dammit" he said getting up and dusting himself off, he then began to walk towards the exit out of the CCG building. 30 minutes went by as he finally walked out of the building, looking up at the blue sky with a sad expression "boy today is going to be a long one I can tell" he said walking off.

"Hey cheer up, kid," Leon said to him as he walked up behind Elric. He patted him on the back and took a seat right next to him. He pulled out an egg sandwich and a thermos full of black coffee from his bag and then took a bite and a swig of coffee. "I looked at your file, I need new recruits for the squad I'm putting together and you fit the bill. You'd honestly be a pretty good agent over in the states all things considered, having survived several encounters without anything like a quinque. Innovative, deadly, and physically capable. Fits the bill of the kind of investigator I need for the job." He continued consuming his meal, washing down every bite with a bit of coffee. Finishing up the sandwich before he began speaking again, "Investigator Blackmar, I'll have you assigned to be my partner for today. Think of this opportunity like a tryout for the Big Leagues. Do you have what it takes to survive in the higher ranks?"

( sorry for the short post XD)
Elric looked at Leon with excitement, "really sir? are you sure?" he said sitting down next to Leon, "I mean I thought a low ranking Investigator such as myself would weigh you down" he then got up and bowed at Leon "thank you, sir," he said with a modest voice, he then lifted his head and said " so.....what kind of ghouls do you guys hunt" he said with a curious voice "I mean I heard all kinds of stories about how the higher you go, the harder it gets" he said as he sat back down. Elric then swung his leather satchel onto his lap and opened it up "these are my custom made explosives" he said pulling out a small round metallic object "these babies get the job done"

Location: 16 Ward Collab Between: Kenny “Reaper” Ashikaga (Hex Code: #e51010) ( QizPizza QizPizza ) and Bakko “Stolas” Lyon (Hex Code: #553982) ( Nassadii Nassadii )

“Don’t suppose you’re on vacation, boyo.” Bakko pulled Kenny along through the park with a smirk. “Visitin family? Friends around?” A newbie ghoul in japan wouldn’t survive too long is she really thought about it. Most didn’t make it past their first week or at the very least disappeared off the face of the map. Usually that meant dead or the doves got to them.

“No, nothing like that. I’m trying to find a place to settle down out here.” Kenny frowned, recalling the reason why he had to move around for the last five years. “I wish I had family left, but they got...caught, so I’ve been living from town to town for quite a while. Say...five years?”

Bakko nodded. “I see. Bless ya child, but you did come here at a good time. Things are calming down for the most part.”

Bakko led Kenny across a street towards a slightly calmer part of the ward. Kenny was glad to hear that he might finally get some peace. “That’s good, I’m tired of running from the CCG. But enough about me, why are you here? Aside from your day job, I mean.”

“Me? Heh. Nothin’ major really. If anything I’m stuck here.” She shrugged, glancing down the way to make sure no one was in earshot. “Came from Atlanta to expand the fleshrunner trade and trade recipies, me and my boys been stuck and scattered ever since. But I still do run the wards to whoever pays. Sometimes pays the rent, other times my day job pays it.”

“That’s an interesting job...but a job, huh? I guess I’ll be needing one if I plan on living here. I don’t have a degree or even any cleverly forged visas. I guess I’ll have to do some shady stuff...but that’s a problem for another day.” Kenny looked at the packed streets of the 16 Ward. This was nothing like quiet, little Wisconsin, but it’s a nice change of pace even if it was a bit confusing. “By the way, where are we headed? It would be nice to sit down and talk.”

“A little nook see. Right around here.” Bakko took a sharp turn down an alleyway and then down another side way, a tight space that only had room for them to go one after another until they came to a door. “This place is fine for us. Pigeons don’t know about it yet.” The placed opened up to a nice, homey looking cafe with a few other people already inside , all of them relaxing without a care in the world. A few more than Bakko though as she waved to one of the waiters. “<Afternoon Darling~ Table for two, don’t worry about him he’s new~>” The waiter nodded as they lead them to their table.

A few people took notice of the two towering people that entered, but soon returned to their conversations. Kenny took a deep breath, only to encounter the scents of numerous ghouls. Though he didn’t like cannibalizing ghouls, the scent was a bit overwhelming for him. He almost considered going crazy but held himself backing knowing he was too weak to try something like that, especially with the ghoul next to him. Instead, he focused on his companion’s body to take his mind off the scent of ghouls. “Does this place protect ghouls from the CCG?”

“Not necessarily.” Bakko hummed. “More like a hidden oasis they haven’t found yet.” She leaned back in her chair. “There are some that are out in the open that cater to humans, but ones like this last alot longer from what I’ve seen.” The waiter returned with the menus and quickly scurried off to another table. “Once a place like this is found, it moves somewhere else. Usually to another ward. Now if you want protection from the CCG, you either don’t get caught or you go to a bar. Some pigeons just roam the streets at night just lookin’ for fight.” A chill ran down her spine at the thought.

“I see...” Kenny was a bit disappointed, but as long as the CCG doesn’t actively try to kill him, he should be fine. He looked at the menu, all the items were either made of human flesh or coffee. As much as Kenny needed to eat human flesh to survive, he tried to avoid it, lest his Rc cell levels rise to noticable levels. When the waiter came back, Kenny ordered, “<I’ll take an iced coffee and number 4, please.>”

Bakko nodded and smirked at the waiter. “<I’ll take the usual, love.>” The waiter nodded, blushing as he took both menus and scampering off. “Other than that. It’s been relatively calm as of late aside from the jackasses from last night. Wouldn’t be surprised if they were the ones responsible for the mess at J-world.” she waved her hand dismissively at the thought. “But you are in luck since I’m feeling nice.”

“In luck?” Kenny wondered what she meant. Was she one of the ghouls that were very protective territories? He had run into several of them before, and they were not very pleasant at all.

“My landlady has an extra apartment open due to one of my neighbors being stupid and dying in the 24th sometime ago. So long as you keep your nose clean, I’m sure she’ll let you take over the place.” Bakko smirked, “17 is fairly chill since it’s effectively neutral grounds now. At least since the major gangs in the area fucked up and got themselves wiped.”

“That’s good, but I don’t have to worry about those gangs right? Or more importantly, rent, right?” Kenny could protect himself, but he still had pay for necessities like cable TV, coffee and most importantly: toilet paper.

“Rent’s like 40,000 yen and helping out around the place. And no, they doves wiped them all out from what I heard. But at the time I away from the place.”

“Thank, you. That’s a pretty good price, but I still have to find a job… You don’t have to worry about that though, I don’t want to bother you more than I already have.”

“Eh, the agency isn’t lookin’ for anyone at the moment anyway. Thank the lord.” she frowned at the thought. The waiter tapped at the table when he arrived back with their meals. “<An Iced coffee and Number 4 for you, and a Cold brew and number 6 for you Stolas-san.>” Bakko smiled sweetly. “Thank you Darlin’ Compliments to the chief as well~” Bakko nodded as a large blue tendril from behind her patted the man on shoulder as he left, once out of reach it disappeared as quickly as it appeared.

Kenny raised his eyebrows at Bakko’s kagune. He hadn’t see blue kagune before, but there were all kinds of strange ones out there. Kenny began to take a sip of his coffee when he heard a scream from outside the cafe, followed by several gunshots. The noise threw the little cafe into chaos, as the ghouls rushed out the door, fearing that ghoul investigators had arrived.

“Ah fuck me, that was fast!” Bakko horked down her own meal, nearly bringing out her own kagune, but took a deep breath. “All I wanted was a lunch break. Nothin’ more, nothin’ less.” She grabbed Kenny’s hand before bolting towards the door. “This isn’t what I had in mind for a coffee date but this will have to cut short dahlin’” By the time they got back to the alley, she could smell spilled blood. Ghouls blood. She turned back towards Kenny and pinched the bridge of their nose. “Looks like the end of our little rendezvous, my dear. But here’s a little parting gift. with a slight of hand, she produced a marker and wrote on his hand a set of numbers and clapped his hand in approval. “Once you get a phone, call me so I know you’re at least alive. It maybe calm, but safe it ain’t my dude.” With that she sped off, hopping over the fence at the end of alley and taking Kenny’s hoodie with her out of sight.

Kenny silently pumped fist in triumph when Bakko left, but quickly regained his composure and ran outside to find two CCG investigators killing ghouls. He stopped in front of them and began to put on his “innocent human” act. It was a good thing he didn’t eat, or else he would be recognized as a ghoul. In his best Japanese, he pleaded with the investigators, “Please, help me! I’m a tourist, but the caught me when I passed by this alley. They were going to eat me! They ran when they heard you, they went that way, I think.” Kenny pointed at the opposite from where Bakko ran. The investigators appeared to believe his story and lowered their weapons. After checking on Kenny, they went off to pursue the ghouls that ran off, leaving Kenny in alley filled with dead ghouls.

Leon Kennedy

Just a few moments later the two were headed down the streets of Tokyo in Leon's Mustang, zipping through traffic at blistering speeds. Leon maneuvered the stick back and forth changing from gear to gear seamlessly as they weaved through the roads toward their destination. "So, Investigator Blackmar, we have received reports of ghoul activity in the amusement park downtown. I've taken up the responsibility of taking this case and letting another pair of Investigators take on the "Hokkori" Case. This is where your skills will prove to be necessary, the ghoul we are chasing down has an interesting manifestation for his kagune. I don't want you to worry about the details, but your skill with explosives are definitely the key to countering his ability. If we run into this ghoul, I'm relying on you, understand." He looked at Elric briefly to see if he had acknowledged what he said.

Regardless, the two were coming up on the amusement park. The agent left the car and picked up a KRISS Vector loaded with .45ACPQ rounds for added effect against ghouls at close range along with his Quinque, "Giant Killer," from his mobile armory. leaving it open for Elric to use if he wanted to pick up anything from the remaining stockpile of guns. Leon then went up to the ticket stands and held up his CCG Badge allowing the duo access into the park. He then saw the two investigators with their finished work, a bunch of dead ghouls, but they were small fry on the CCG Radar. Leon saw the tall tourist that had tipped the duo off about the location of another ghoul. However his composure seemed off-putting to Leon, so he kept his guard up, it was odd that a civilian would get away from the grasp of a ghoul so easily.

Bakko ran through the alleyways as if she had known them all her life. Every hop over a garbage can, every small wall run and nearly every weave and turn in this back alley maze. Problem was that she was far away from her agency. A problem that, if they were human, would be a simple fix. Just walk across the street and walk down a couple blocks.

But being a ghoul and the area now crawling with Pigeons, made that alot more difficult.

From the now only lingering scent of ghoul blood, she sighed and took a breather. She had run so hard that she didn't think to slip back out to the street earlier. Thankfully any other living ghoul was well out of the area or in hiding. "Thank god. Now then, what to d-" The sound of her cell phone singing 'sound of silence' at her took her out of her planning. When she answered it, all she got was an earful of her worried manager rattling on about how ghouls are invading the amusement park and that the shoot that was supposed to be there was cancelled. It was tedious, mind numbing, but normal looking enough for her to walk back street side and lean on a building like she was being berated by an angry boss. Or in this case, listen to a worrywart drone on and on without getting a word in. A decent cover to fool a nosy Pigeon if she did say so herself. 'Can I get one day of peace? Just one?'

Elric Blackmar

as both Elric and Leon traveled to J-world, Elric nodded in response to everything he said.once they arrived Elric got out of the Mustang and did some stretches "wow that's some sweet weaponry " he said as he gazed at the stockpile of guns, he then opened up his satchel and took out one of his explosives, he then Inspected it before putting it back into the leather satchel closing it back up. " I think I'm all- wait" he said as he pulled out his 9mm pistol from his hip holster, he then unloaded the magazine and checked to see if it was loaded, after he did that he then reloaded the magazine back into the pistol, and reholstered it "I'm all set now" he said as he patted the holstered weapon. Elric then walked off, all the while forgetting what Leon said a few moments ago. he began to search here and there, peeking around corners, taking selfies with DBZ statues, and occasionally looking at his phone, he sighed as he strolled down an alley "I'm ...so .....bored" he said to himself as he looked around for any suspicious figures, "il guess il go report back to-" he then spotted an unknown figure ahead of him, as he drew closer to the figure, it began to look more familiar, and as he got even closer he pulled out a beauty magazine from his satchel, before looking at the figure, and then taking a closer look at the magazine before squeeling like a little girl and running up to Bakko " oh my god! are you- is this- im gonna faint" he then presented the beauty magazine to her and said " my friend loves you.....could you.....could you sign this for me please" he said as he got even more overwhelmed by excitment.

"<No Mori-san, please. I'm fine>." Bakko rolled her eyes as her manager kept droning on and on, doing a 'get on with it motion' with her hand as he talked. "<Yes, I am fine. It happened like a block away, they had us evacuate and I'm a tad shaken up by it. I think I'm gonna head home, but I need my duffl ba>- HOLY MOTHER OF!" The squealing coming at her side made her jump, causing her manager to audibly freak out even more. A tall man with a beauty magazine with her photo on the front was asking her to sign it for his friend. She sighed in relief, doubling over in laughter at her own fright. A star struck fan was always nice to see, even if they were nearly eye to eye with the man. She gave him a soft smile and nodded."Oh sweet sugah, <I can sign it. But please don't scare me like that again. Already had a fighten done to me today.>" Bakko pulled the pen from earlier from out of the hoodie and stuffed her phone into her pocket.

She made a quick glance at the man excited man. A holstered pistol, and possibly armed with things she couldn't see. She should've realized she's have fans in the CCG, at least they didn't suspect anything...or at least she hoped.

"<Now who am I making this out to>, sugah pie??" She twirled the pen in her hand with ease, and gave him an easy smile. Hoping in the back of her mind that there weren't anymore doves that were fans of hers

Elric Blackmar
( I'm writing from my phone, so I apologize once again for the short posts)
Elric seemed a little nervous at first before saying "well um......johnny.....his name is johnny", he said as his excitement began to die down "also....why are you here? I thought they closed this place for well......reasons" his demeanor began to change from overjoyed to suspicious, his right hand slowly moving towards his holstered pistol. "so yeah Johnny is my friend he's been uh- uh uh a fan for a couple years now" he said as tried to distract her, all the while inching closer to his weapon. "and even though I'm not huge fan, I still like to meet celebrities" he said as he gripped his pistol firmly "cause one day..... I'm probably going to be pretty famous for my ghoul hunting" he then removed the pistol from his holster and kept it close to him "also I'm very sorry for saying this, but your going to have to come to the station with me" he said while grinning "so If you don't mind Il be your escort for today." It didn't take much for Bakko to notice Elric's hand moving toward his pistol. She sighed at this, but gave a small chuckle. "<Looks like I'm not gonna get back to work on time today.>" Which was true, and would annoy the living shit out of Mr.Mori. Not to mention her co-workers ire of her wandering off somewhere and them having to deal with an annoyed photographer. So many things that could go wrong with her own life.

However....

Getting out of this alive was a priority. Getting out of this without tipping this pigeon off, even more so.

"<As for why I'm here sugah.>" She smiled and wrapped her arm around his shoulder. "<I was told yesterday that I was supposed to do a shoot here for a new anime, but I wasn't told of what happened today and nearly walked into a...what's the word?> Rodeo of a herd of bulls in a china shop." Bakko giggled and purred getting closer to him, "<but please lead the way. We can get this all cleared up, darlin'.>" She had to play this right. Get in, show ID, Get out and head home. Home may be an hour walk away, but it was going to be the longest hour she could ever imagine.

Kenny Ashikaga
Location: 16 Ward
Kenny watched the two investigators leave the little oasis for ghouls. The thought of hunger spread through his mind, especially as there were freshly killed ghouls just lying there. Ghouls don't taste good, but the rush of power he gets after eating their flesh was enough reason devour an entire corpse by itself. No matter what Kenny did, the thought of the ghouls in front of him always pushed back into his mind. He wanted to walk away, but he was hungry, and the feeling of power was too tempting.

Looking around, Kenny made sure that no one was around before dragging one of the Ghouls' corpses into the abandoned cafe. He dropped his duffel bag and backpack onto the floor and began eating before he heard the sound of screeching car brakes right outside. Kenny paused as he bit into a ghoul's arm before swallowing. He wiped the blood from his mouth and hands. If he got found out now, it would be very problematic. Currently, his RC levels were in right in between the two extremes. His levels were too high to pass off as a human under scrutiny, but also too low to come close to his optimal power.

Kenny walked out side to see two ghoul investigators getting out of a Mustang. One of them appeared to be quite heavily armed with an SMG and ridiculously large revolver. The look he gave Kenny as he walked across the street to J-World sent a shiver down his spine. This guy was an American, so why the heck is he here, and more importantly, where did he get that sick car? Kenny was planning on leaving as soon as possible, but when he got his stuff back from the cafe, he saw the other investigator taking Bakko somewhere. She could handle herself, but... Kenny pulled on his hood and began climbing up a building using the fire escape to tail the two quietly.

Elric Blackmar

Elric smiled at Bakko and reholstered his pistol "thank you for your cooperation" he said as he still a had firm grip on the holstered weapon "now let's go" he said as he put his other arm around her shoulder and began to walk with her. As the two of them traveled back to the CCG station, Elric would lose his sense of direction, bumping into dead ends, going through an alley that split into different directions, and finding ghouls that were feeding, "god...fucking dammit, how the hell do you get back into the heart of the city" he said as he tried to catch his breath, he then opened up his satchel and pulled out a bottle of water, before take a swig from the bottle, and putting back in the satchel "right Im obviously lost" he said as he sighed with frustration, "as you can tell im new to the whole ghoul Investigation job", he said as he chuckled a little "but uh anyways I got a sandwich stuffed in my man purse If your hungry" Elric then patted his leather satchel, and unlatched his Radio and held it up to his mouth "this is Investigator Blackmar, I need directions to the nearest CCG station" he said as he held down a button on the radio before releasing the pressure off of it, he then waited patiently for a response "I apologize if this is a waste of your time....but uh I got to report something."

Bakko nodded, "<Of course darling. Your job is important and I'm sure you aren't one to let things like this slide.>" Something wasn't right. Her smile cracked with from a twinge from her gut. The feeling of eyes on them, on her, was palpable. She started to dig her her own bag as if looking for something frantically. Muttering to herself in English, she circled around Elric, almost like she was herding him away from the dead end rather quickly. "If this day couldn't get much worse. I seem to have lost my ID."

She could hear the sound of food steps behind her now, someone stalking her and from the sound of snarling and the smell fresh blood on them tipped off that this was the one who caused this massive clusterfuck of a day. "<Sugah. You may find your way back home. I got business.>" Her foot tapped with an inaudible beat before the ghoul leaped at her, as if they were a lion. Only to to have a massive blue tendril grab him out of the hair and leave him convulsing before the man was beaten into the wall. The ghoul cursed and screamed at Bakko as they were electrocuted within an inch of their life before he was thrown in the direction of J-world. "<I swear idiots like them make things harder than the rest of us.>" She pinched the bridge of her nose as she looked back up at Elric. "<First rule my sweet summer child. Never get lost in the alleyways. You you get idiots like those who pick off innocents or summer children like you.>" She wrapped a shawl around her head as her Rinkaku moved as if she were talking with her hands. Gone was the sweet southern belle, replaced with a look of what could only be described as 'salty' and very highly annoyed; but still non-hostile. As if she had gotten most of their anger out on the poor ghoul that was probably going to land back at the amusement park.
