Fantasy The Willow Academy of Elite Magical Race Students *MAIN*

Xenoblade

Are we gonna have a problem? *Candy Store Intro*
WELCOMING DAY

"Welcome, students, to a new year at The Willow Academy of Elite Magical Race Students. I expect the best of you, as you are your models for your race. My name is Professor Diagonheart, your Headmistress this year. Find your dorms after my speech has concluded, and classes begin tomorrow morning at 8:30 sharp. Thank you."

El's POV

El stood up and looked at the bag in front of her. It was a medium sized messenger bag with the school logo on the side. She opened the bag to find a few textbooks, her dorm assignment, and a class schedule. Dorm 213, thought El. I wonder who I'm sharing a room with. She grabbed her bag and walked up a flight of stairs. From there, she took a left, and went down that hallway. El stopped at her door and looked at the name slider. She slid her name in, noticing her dormie wasn't there. Getting first pick, El ran into the first room, which had a girl's uniform laid out and pressed. El held it up, and it was just her size. Now, El was 4'0 at age 13, so she was pretty sure this was her's. I have to be the shortest 13 year old ever! she thought with envy of those who were taller. El left her room to find her trunk with her toiletries and personal items had been brought up here. El grabbed a pair of her pj's and went to unpack. After she was done, she put on her pajamas. She fell asleep as soon as she hit her pillow.

Kama payed very little attention to the woman. What was it? Headmistress? Bed princess? Fresh citrus? He had no idea. Nor did he care. When the woman finally quit running her mouth, the boy got up and opened the bag in front of him which revealed a load of useless garbage. A few textbooks, his dorm assignment, and a class schedule. He probably wasn't gonna use his textbooks, he would decide if he was gonna live in his dorm or not, and he would go to class whenever he wanted.

Plus where is all the cool stuff at like weapons, school gear, yearbooks, etc, etc. Kama grunted before closing his bag and grabbing it, exiting the room to go find his dorm. "Dorm 216..." He finally found his room and slid his name in the name slider. As soon as he walked in he spotted the school uniform. He froze and stared at it in disgust. "Um... What the heck is that? There is no way I'm putting that on. Over my dead body." Kama frowned greatly at the uniform.

Danny strolled through the halls admiring the architecture. She has never been inside anything bigger than her cottage. She hoped it would do fine on its own. Her brother assured everything will be fine and taken care of. The journey was long walking from the woods to town and into the school nearly across town. It was no wonder Anthony came home late or not at all. Either way, there is no need to be separated from him while also creating friendships.

"Who will be my very first friend?" She hums searching through faces. A voice echoed throughout the halls startling the blonde. Never has she heard such a boisterous voice reverberate through the building. The announcement the woman spoke sounded important. The director of the establishment informing students of what to do. "That's very helpful." Danny murmured. "Find my dorm. I can't seem to find mine through such a large place." Her blue eyes peer up the stairs and through the halls once more before sweatdropping. "Oh boy...this is going to be a long night."

Danny drags her feet up the stairs onto the next floor in search of her room number. Some were classes some are dorms. It's hard to tell which is which apart. She had assumed there would be labels or something.

Jason, who had been inside the school for about an hour at that point, stood listening to the headmistress' instructions. He then picked up the bag that he had been given and opened it to find his general school supplies. "Great! I thought I would have to buy my own!"
He found his dormitory nameplate and the number next to it, and so searched for that particular dorm. "214... Here!" He slid in his name, unlocked the door and found his uniform and suitcase in the far room. "Eden and Bailey said I had to pack my own... God damn it."

Finally, Jason laid down on his bed and played around with his shadow magic through one of the swords. He managed to replicate the permanent creature he had created at home, a dire wolf, but dismissed it pretty quickly as he didn't want it to mess up the dorm.

Noctis, or Xavier, was currently slinking around the halls of the school. Strangely, he already had his uniform on.

The Shadowling had already come to learn the routine of the academy in which he stayed years ago. After all, he practically lived there, even during the summer months of the year. This would be his fourth year of attending. The location of twisting and turning halls, lengthy corridors, and countless rooms had been memorized already. Navigation was needless to say, an easy task for him.

Today was the arrival of new students, not that he was excited about it. But, there would be plenty of new faces that might need help finding there way. He remembered how confusing and overwhelming it was arriving to the school for his first year, Noctis wanted to use that experience and knowledge to at least help his fellow class mates out and make their stay more comfortable.

And here he was, examining the halls for any students standing around looking dazed and wide eyed.

His shoes tapped lightly against the steps of a half-landing staircase, gliding his right hand along the sleek handrail that stuck out from the wall. Upon entering one of the second floor halls, he spotted a young girl. She looked to be in quite the predicament, watching as her eyes looked over the numbers carved on the rooms to the dorms.

“Good morning, miss. Do you need any assistance?” His tenor voice calling out to her.

El's POV

El awoke in the middle of the night, wondering why she was here. She remembered that her mother told her that if she wanted to one day become the ruler of the kingdom, she must go to this school. She was going to keep this promise, and become friends with all the races. She decided to meet her neighbors in the morning. El took a shower, because she didn't want to be late for class. Drying off, she realized her ears popped out and were making her look younger than she was, about 9. She tried to put them back, but it wouldn't work no matter how she fixed them. She sighed and went back to bed. It was going to be a long day...

Jason, now realising that sleep wasn't a particular need of his beyond about an hour, had been sat up, in his room, playing around with various vessels of his powers for the majority of the night. He had mainly been testing his limits with creating shadow creatures and managed all 3 detailed creatures at once. He finally went to sleep at ~4 AM and awoke about an hour and a half later to the dire wolf licking his face.

Danny jumped back startling the girl out of her focus. She stumbles back to see a tall male. Her icy blue eyes blink first after checking him up and down searching for another person nearby before pointing at herself.

"Are you talking to me?" She asked cluelessly. The last thing she expected this late was another student wandering around. "U-um y-yes!" She stutters bashful. Danny never spoke to anyone except for vendors of her hometown. She had been hoping to make friends but never imagined it would be difficult for her. "I'm looking for my dorm number 217. There are no maps of labels aside from numbers. I'alsol curious if the dorms are in another set of the building?" The blonde hid her shy face behind her journal avoiding eye contact. 'Stay calm. It's just another student. You've spoken to plenty of people...that are not....your age...' She thought to herself scrambling to fix her composure to no avail.

Taylor Hawndregan
A girl in the typical Willow Academy uniform sauntered through the halls of said academy. It being her first day she was a bit anxious, her stomach was full of butterflies, especially at the fact that everyone there was a magical race, technically, just like her; although she took more after her human mother and rarely showed any signs of her demonic heritage.

Taylor smiled as she walked, it was forced, trying to find her dorm room. She was rather familiar with the layout of the school as she had visited her sister while the elder Hawndregan was working quite a few times, so she was also decently acquainted with some of the staff.

Her eyes peered down at a small slip of paper, slightly crumpled and damp from her nervous sweating, to check her dorm assignment.

Dorm 213

She read off the card’s big letters and looked up at the dorm numbers, passing by 217 through 214 until she found herself just outside dorm 213. Hopefully her roommate would have been late as well or simply not arrived, but at the sound of rustling Taylor knew someone was in there.

With another sigh the youngest Hawndregan entered, taking in the room with a few glances, and found herself relieved with what she saw was her roommate; only a little girl not some terrifying vampire, or other demon. She smiled, trying to ignore the other as she did not want to be a bother, and sat down on her bed which had a few textbooks and other items she would need that her sister had clearly put there for her. It did help to have connections after-all she figured.

Athena had no need of sleep. Being a vampire meant you didn’t need it. She just sat in her bed and was still. Eventually she got bored and realized her dorm mate would probably be awake because he was a vampire too.
“So... Kama.. how are you?” She said playfully.
If at least she could tease him to entertain herself then why not right?

Kama was laying in his bed, facing the wall. He was reading a porn mag until he suddenly heard his name. He raised one brow out of curiosity and turned to see his fellow dormmate. "Oh hey. I'm good. How are you?" The boy said before placing his magazine down next to him and giving Athena his full attention. She was a pretty hot babe. Had beautiful red hair and seemed to have a nice rack as well. Hopefully he wouldn't get caught staring at it.

“Oh yes, we have a separate dorm building close to the training field. These are for the more advanced students though, newcomers have to stay their first and second year in the dorms set this building.” Noctis softly explained, offering her a small smile. He gently rested his hand against a nearby wall, not releasing it until a warmth spread over his palm. Pulling it away, he revealed a cyan-blue glowing rune upon the wall. Which looked to be a map of sorts.

“As for maps, all about the school are runes that look just like this one. Just rest your hand against any wall for a couple of moments, and it’ll appear. As for room 217, you’re actually quite close!” He beamed, furrowing his brows slightly. Noctis hopped he wasn’t intimidating her too much.

“It’s just down the hall, once you reach the end, take a right, there should be a entrance that opens up to the east dorm hall. Your door should be on the left.” After he was finished explaining, he swiped his hand over the rune once more. Its glow was immediately put out, and the wall returned to its normal state.

Noctis turned on his heel, preparing to leave and head to his own cozy dorm. But not before he could remember to give her a quick reminder. “I hope that helps a little with getting around, I’d stay it’s about time I head back to my own place. Oh! And don’t forget, breakfast starts at 6:00 and ends at 7:30!” He turned his head over his shoulder to glance at her once more, waving goodbye.

With that, his human-like appearance melted away into a foreign, beast-like form. No fur or scales present though, just odd gas wisps curling up from his ‘skin’. The figure getting down on all forms and darting down the hall.

After all, it was a much more quicker form of transportation than walking on just two legs!

Noctis’s day always began early, at 5:30 am to be precise. Education was a career to him, and he wished to be the very best at it.

His morning routine was like that of anyone else’s. Shower, brush teeth, put on uniform, make sure not to forget his books, etc. He was always out the door by 6:00.

The warmth of the sun felt nice today, which was unusual for him. It often burned like touching a hot coal, but today there were a few clouds overcasting it. Each day, he walked to the main building from his dorm building across campus to have breakfast. As well as to study in the library afterwards.

Of course, he made it to the main building in about 10 minutes. Thanks to the campus not being spread out too far. Noctis eagerly pushed open a door leading to the cafeteria, being careful as to not smack anyone in the face.

The smell of coffee and bacon filled the air.

El's POV

El awoke the next morning, waiting to meet her roommate. She didn't see anyone, so she looked into the next bedroom. There was a girl sleeping in the bed, and El didn't know if she should wake her up. She decided to, so she yelled "Wake up person I don't know!" extremely loudly. El raced out of the room, grabbing her bag, and sprinted down the hallway, nearly tripping over a small boy. She didn't stop for anything, El just ran downstairs to the Dining Hall, and nearly collapsed in a seat. She set down her bag and went to grab her some breakfast.
In line, El thought about that small boy. She probably should have said sorry, but she didn't know where he would be. El gave up on the thought and decided that eating was the most important thing right now. She sighed and and sat down with her tray of food, wondering what class was going to be like.

Jason, now on the floor after making a poor attempt to retain balance, looked around for the source of the impact with him. As the person had left, he decided to keep going to the cafeteria, where breakfast was being served. "6 AM and I'm already getting knocked down, hah. Just means I can get up stronger!"
Jason, barely seeing the other two enter, walked into the massive hall himself, lining up to receive a Full English (or as close as possible to one) as opposed to the cereal, toast and other premade foods on the tables.

Taylor Hawndregan
"Wake up person I don't know!"

The words rung through Taylor's ears as she slowly sat up, her roommate already having dashed off, groaning and rubbing her eyes at the prospect of awaking so early in the morning. She did expect to have some changes such as not sleeping in for half the day and skipping classes, that would have to had change at Willow Academy and she knew it she just had not expected to be so... exhausted from lack of sleep on her, while technically second, first day of school.

Taylor moved quite slowly, literally, rolling out of bed, hitting the floor with a slight thud as she did so, annoyed at her new routine already and she had only just started it. She did feel more butterflies form in her stomach at the prospect of classes she was always an outcast of sorts never truly having a friend to accompany her so she always felt simply as nothing, but that did not bother her besides at Willow things would be different.

After getting changed into her school uniform, cleaning up nicely besides the disheveled bedhead that she lazily tied up into a ponytail not bothering to take care of it further than that, she proceeded out the door to her dorm marching her butt right down to the cafeteria as her stomach persisted to grumble and growl throughout her walk; she was almost always hungry after she woke up due to skipping dinner a majority of the time. Just before entering the, bustling, cafeteria she took in and exhaled deep breaths to calm her nerves it was bad enough she had to go to a school full of magical, incredibly powerful, beings, that could rip her apart with little effort, but also her sister worked there just another reason to feel inferior. How wonderful was her only thought at that predicament.

With a haste to her step she entered the cafeteria bee lining it towards the lunch line, her legs shaking just a bit as she waited in line for her turn, ordering a small tray of fish sticks for breakfast, clearly used to waking up directly to lunch, then turning towards the loud, crowed, and deadly looking room. She let out a sigh and began to walk through the mess hall searching for at least one empty table, but alas the closest she came across was one with... a little girl with pointy ears. She cocked her head to the side, trying to remember where she had seen her before, as she walked in that direction it clicked in her head it was her roommate miss "Wake up person I don't know!" herself.

The Hawndregan put on a smile, not entirely falsified but not entirely genuine, and sat down directly next to the, as she perceived her, small child. "Uh, hello." She greeted quietly, giving a small wave. "I'm your dorm mate." She offered up as an explanation as to why she had randomly sat beside the little girl.

Everything happened so fast, but one thing was clear, the student before she was a senior by the way he explained everything. He even figured out she was a newcomer, though it is obvious by the way she was acting. Her blue orbs light up when the teen showed her how maps are made. It amazed her causing her to think the lad knew how to use magic. Not once did she think the residents of the school are of different species. She assumed they are all witches or Wizards. The blonde takes a good look at the map finding her dorm nearby. Her timid self subsides as she is grateful to the young man for his helpful. There were no words to say how thankful she is. Literally. The senior took his leave after reminding her one more thing. She didn't catch his name nor have time to thank him. In the blink of an eye, he was gone leaving Daniela to wonder. "I wonder if I will get to see him again?" You mumbled to herself.

Once in her dorm, Danny inhales to see if her roommate would be sound asleep. Alas, there was no one but herself. A room all for her. Disappointed, the girl takes a seat on her bed finding a uniform laid out for her to wear. This brought a smile to her face. She sets the outfit aside and simply flopping on the bed to sleep.
____________________________

The next morning, Danny woke up refreshed after a long journey. Instantly her stomach growls urging her to get some food. There was so much she is going to encounter today on the first day of school.

After fixing herself up with the daily, morning routine, the teen strolls down the halls enjoying the walk. At some point, Danny found herself lost realizing it was time to fetch food. She hummed to herself standing in a thinking pose then recalled what the boy did yesterday deciding to give it a try where she stands near a wall. "So...I just set my hand like this?" She asked cautiously moving her hand up against the wall. The wall itself begins to glow displaying the map as last night. Danny cheers finding success in at her first attempt at conjuring a magical map. Though it was probably not a big deal, to begin with. "Now let's see. Where is the cafeteria?" A slender finger roams over until the bold words are visible. "Ah! There it is!" Having an idea as to where the room is, Danny kindly dismisses the map and heads straight to the cafeteria.

Inside the room was like a tavern minus the drunk men or games on the side with waitresses. It was peaceful as the morning was starting out and kids were just entering the room. Following the line, Daniela observed the kids in front of her as to how to get breakfast. Once again the girl is intrigued like an excitable puppy learning a new trick. After choosing her choice of breakfast, she settled on a lone table were opened her journal to keep track of her thoughts. Like a diary. Being isolated for so long, the only companion she had was herself and nature. To keep herself sane she would write to her heart's content. Loneliness was never a problem though she did wish she had at least one friend.

El's POV

El's apparent roommate had just sat down by her, and El was not prepared. Her fork yeeted itself across the room, and the entire Dining Hall turned to look. El started to blush hard, making her look like a tomato. She got up, grabbed the fork, and ran back to the table. The girl was still there, and merely smiling. "I'm sorry about that, my name is El. What's your name?" El asked, hoping to start some friendly conversation. El realized that this girl was quite a bit taller than her. Oh dear, thought El. I guess I am shorter than I thought. El realized that now she was somewhere out of her kingdom, there would be people of different sizes. The girl was looking at El now, probably wondering why she was staring off into space.

The only reaction she had to the whole fork predicament was a nervous laugh. It was no surprise to her that a child would be so lively and animated so that was refreshing for her to see, the young and innocent how envious. Taylor laughed at El’s apology too, it was such a clumsy introduction and she loved it, so innocent and pure she wanted to keep it that way too.

“Taylor Hawndregan.” The half-demon introduced herself as she leaned onto the table with her elbow using her hand to prop up her head. She cleared her throat “So, how old are you now?” She asked in a bit of a childish preppy voice acting as if it was some significant milestone as she thought a child would view it. She had no idea of the blunder she was making.

Her lips curled upwards into a smile, even less genuine than before merely one you would use to pretend for a child, and she stared dead into El’s eyes not letting any eye contact go un avoided.

Noctis didn’t expect the cafeteria to be so crowded, but then again it was orientation day. The senior waited in line for at least fifteen minutes before managing to get a plate stacked high with various items, a piping hot cup of tea in his other hand.

Just like his will to learn, his appetite was voracious. It wasn’t uncommon for a Shadowling to consume a ungodly amount of food in one sitting, they were well known to binge during every meal.

Noctis’s sharp blue eyes caught sight of the girl he had spoken to yesterday as he exited the kitchen, a weak smile crossing his face. Now why was she sitting all alone? Right now was the perfect time to chat with new students!

He slowly approached her, setting his plate on the left of where she was sitting before plopping down beside her.

“Good morning, I see we meet again!” He joked.

Daniela hums in tune to her crunching. She was so focused on writing her previous day she failed to notice the same boy from yesterday has taken a seat beside her. She turns as soon as his familiar voice spoke up. Her eyes land on the nonchalant boy. There was stillness between them as she blinked trying her best to figure out whom he is or so it seemed. "Um...who are you exactly?" She asked cluelessly at first then broke out into a small chuckle. "Just kidding. I remember you. I'm so glad I get to see you again! I wanted to thank you for helping me out last night. I found my way here and used the maps as you taught me." She chirped proudly. "I never got your name. My name is Daniela Quinn. It's a pleasure to meet you." She nods.

Anthony Quinn
Mornings are a teacher's ritual from the latest to the earliest. It was never easy for a young lad like Anthony, but nothing is ever impossible to adapt. Being a quick learner with a good head on his shoulders, Anthony has his ways of starting his days. His mind always in a calm set mood meditating before starting class. If he remembered correctly, today is a big day. His darling little sister is to attending her first day. Therefore arriving the day prior. Hopefully, she made it alright without a problem. The thought transpires shortening his meditation time to check up on the clumsy blonde. Swiftly, the teacher carries his book with him to check on the girl. If he recalled right, her dorm number was 217. He took the liberty of using photographic memory to remember the details of his sister's schedule.

Three knocks exactly on the door responded with silence. Anthony is skeptical to knock another three in case she was asleep or unless her roommate would be annoyed to be woken up. Either way, he took the initiative to barge in to see no one in sight except for luggage. He recognized the design. The same one his grandmother has taken up a liking when she would store belongings in or gifts. It was a magical case or so she made it seem.

The platinum blonde took his leave finding some reassurance that the girl made it in time and is somewhere safe. He'd be sure to check on her later if he has the time again. Coffee was a must have to start his day. He makes a beeline to the teacher's lounge serving himself a cup, taking a random seat and opening his planner.

El's POV

The girl, Taylor, seemed a bit off
, El noticed. Is she hiding something? Or is she just new to the whole talking concept? El returned the smile, but it was an uneasy one. "I'm 13..." El replied. El wasn't sure she trusted this girl quite yet, sh she made up an excuse to leave the table. "I, uhh, have to get some stuff! I'll catch you later!" El ran out of the room, hoping she could get somewhere quickly. She ran into the girl's restroom, hoping she could hide there for all eternity. El took out a book and started to read. Welp, guess this is my home now... El sighed.

Athena got out of her bed and sat on Kama’s.
“Kama. It’s morning! We should get to classes. Or eat breakfast.”
She said seductively pushing his arm with her hands.
It was the point of time in which she should have been already up.
“Well I’m going to head out.”

“I’m certainly glad I was able to help you, last year a poor girl slept in the hall because she didn’t know how to find her dorm.” Noctis grinned, shooting her a humorous wink before picking up his hot mug and taking a long sip from it.

Setting it down a couple of moments later. “That’s a very lovely name, I’m Noctis. Though, most teachers prefer if I went by my human name, Xavier. The other races here aren’t too fond of my kind.” Noctis seemed unbothered by his own words, he didn’t seem to mind that he wasn’t very favored in the school. “I’m one of the first of my kind to set foot in here in 300 years, so a lot of eyes are on me.”

That wasn’t exactly a positive statement, in fact, he had plenty of competition. Especially from the more popular students. “In fact, you should probably avoid Aria Embers at all costs. My existence ticks her off!” Noctis burst out into a couple seconds of laughter.

Kama's jaw dropped for a brief moment after hearing Athena speak seductively. Not only was Kama awake but it seemed like someone else was waking up as well. His head was quickly cleared when he heard that his roommate was leaving. "W-Wait for me!" The boy hopped out of bed and followed the girl.
