Ann hummed a tune to herself as she stepped off the boat. She was finally in Kanto. She couldn't wait to explore. This was going to be so much fun.

Sure she was here on business but that didn't mean everything would be boring and monotonous. Not that things were ever boring when you were working on a case. That's why she loved her job. That, and about a couple hundred other reasons.

First things first, though, she'd have to get to her temporary apartment. Interpol had set her up with an apartment somewhere on the waterfront where she could work. They told her they tried their best to emulate the style of an old noir style detective office so she has high hopes.

As she walked, Ann casually took out a pokeball and released Legend from it. It had been a while since he had been out of his ball and Ann felt it was about time he got a chance to stretch his legs. The Arcanine rubbed up against her.

"Arcanine." He said.

Ann scratched him behind the ear which required some reaching since they were both around the same height. Sometimes Legend even let her ride him though today probably wasn't going to be that day.

"Hey, boy. Ready to solve some mysteries?" Ann asked.

"Arc." Legend replied which Ann took to mean yes.

A few minutes of joking around with Legend (read: Ann telling jokes and assuming Legend found them hilarious), the two finally arrived at the temporary office. Obnoxiously, it looked like the door was too big to fit Legend.

"Sorry boy, you're gonna have to get back in the Pokeball." Ann said.

She recalled Legend and headed inside and up a flight of stairs. She opened the door to reveal that Interpol had been telling the truth. They really had done it up like a noir detective office.

"Wow." Ann breathed. While the office was nothing compared to her office back in Hearthome City, it was still pretty cool.

Ann walked around the desk in the center of the room and climbed onto the chair behind it. She leaned back and rested her legs on top of the desk, putting her arms behind her head.
