Personality:
Although he takes joy in socializing, Tae can often be difficult to talk to, he's very anxious and awkward around most people, but especially new ones. He likes to think of himself as a kind soul, he does what he can for others and tries his best to keep everyone happy. He can thrive in social environments if given the right conditions, but is also easilly exhausted by most people. He finds the most comfort in the woods, near water, and with his pokémon.
He has an affinity for traveling and seeing new places, but often finds it difficult to travel on his own, so his pace can tend to be slow going.

History:
Tae left home a few days before his eleventh birthday without much protest from his family, and hasn't looked back since. He grew up on Melemele island, where he caught his first Pokemon - Buneary, who he is particularly fond of. After deciding to take off, he explored the rest of Alola and then caught a ride on the soonest boat to anywhere else. He only made it through one or two regions after that before landing himself on Kanto, age 16, and nothing to show for it. He was poor, hungry, and homeless, so he started battling. He built his team up from one and can now say that it's something he's really proud of. Now at age 18 he's a relatively confident Trainer and fighter. Although he still can't afford a place to live, he makes due with what he can in a tent, wherever he likes best.

Equipment: an array of healing sprays, maybe 5-6 pokeballs (just in case), and two Great Balls that he won from someone and is insistent on saving for a special occasion.
Personal Items: inside his bag he has another, smaller bag, for cool rocks that he finds. He also carries with him: a water bottle, usually some flowers that he found and didn't want to leave behind, and a medium sized notebook that he likes to write and draw in.
Skills: a way with Pokemon (and an ease for making friends with them), low maintenance nature, a quick pace and a love for walking.

Backstory: Tae caught Lapin when he was just 11 and still very much fresh out of his home. He was scared and on his own most of the time, and found the Buneary when she was still very young as well. The two were fast friends and became very fond of each other. They are inseperable now

Ability: Intimidate: Intimidate lower's the Attack of all opponents by one stage when the ability-bearer switches in (including the start of a battle).

Backstory: Tae found Stagg injured one day while walking through the woods. His original plan was to help nurse the Pokemon back to health until he was either ready to be on his own again, or they found a Pokémon center. Although the Santler had other plans, once he was stable again he refused to leave Tae's side, and they've been together since.

Ability: Lightning Rod:
Lightning Rod forces all single-target Electric-type moves - used by any other Pokémon on the field - to target this Pokémon, and with 100% accuracy. This includes the status move Thunder Wave. The ability is most useful in double/triple battles.
When hit by the move, it deals no damage to the ability-bearer but raises its Special Attack by one stage. Stats can be raised to a maximum of +6 stages each.
The ability is overridden by other Pokémon becoming the center of attention from the moves Follow Me or Rage Powder
Backstory: Moore came into Tae's life while he was wandering one day, and the Plusle jumped out of the bushes, attacking him. He and his Pokémon still had yet to do very much training, so none of them were very good at fighting, or very strong for that matter. And we're very far away from any Pokémon center. For fear of having either of his dear companions faint, he frantically caught the assailant. It took Moore a while to come around and actually like Tae - an occurrence the boy was not very accustomed to.

    Berserk Button(s): People mocking him or pissing him off and his Pokemon getting harmed in ways besides in duels.

    Personality: Rick Milano is a scrappy, blunt, and quite coarse young man who will speak his mind at all times, regardless of whose feelings he hurts. He is also very quick-tempered, often snapping at the slightest of provocations, making him blind to mistakes he makes, especially during pokemon duels. He is also quite stubborn, often refusing to give up or acknowledge failure or that he is wrong, regardless of the circumstances. With his Pokemon, however, he is a kind, caring trainer who considers his Pokemon his "family," especially his Arbok, Maul, who was with him since childhood and was his constant companion.

    History: Rick Milano was born in Vermillion City. Growing up in a poor household, Rick could only watch with envy as he saw Pokemon and their Trainers interact and duel, knowing that He would most likely never be able to do this himself. When he was 10, he swiped an empty Pokeball from an unknowing Trainer, thus committing his first crime and used it to catch an Ekans, whom he named Maul. Over the years, Rick turned more and more into a delinquent, often landing in jail multiple times, much to the dismay of his working-class parents. When he was 15, his parents, unfortunately, died in a fire that burned down their tenement, forcing Rick to move in with his Uncle, a mechanic. Rick feeling guilty over his fractured relationship with his parents, swore to turn over a new leaf and become an "honest joe."

    In his attempt to go straight, Rick took up a job at his Uncle's workplace and found that he was pretty good at it. Rick also took back up his interest in training, which helped him finally evolve his beloved Ekans into an Arbok. During this time, he managed to capture three more Pokemon, who, along with Maul, would prove to be an extended "family" who was still grieving over his parent's deaths but hiding it under his tough guy exterior. Unfortunately, he fell back into his old criminal habits after meeting Vic and Tomas, two members of a new sub-culture sweeping the region called "Scrappers" whose members are well-known for their greased hair and their wardrobe, which infamously includes leather jackets — joining up with their crew, The Wharf Rats, led by Mick Maloney and his Hounndoom, Cyrus. The Wharf Rats, who were considered one of the many gangs that emerged after Team Rocket's downfall, lead Rick down an even worse path of delinquency, with Rick altogether abandoning his promise and hanging out with the gang, committing acts of vandalism, extortion, thievery, and general intimidation. He is currently serving as the gang's official mechanic, fixing up their vehicles. Recently, however, he remembered his promise to his deceased parents and is feeling a considerable amount of guilt and is trying to repress it, to mixed results.
