In the late 1800s, the people of America created a feeling of Manifest Destiny, or the wanting of expanding their already strong nation. Americans packed wagons and headed to the wild west in droves, hoping to claim a piece of land for themselves. But not all sunshine and happy tales came from the west, the west was an unforgiving place, killing off anyone it could when it had the chance. Steep mountain passes, wild animals, bandits, native Indians, the west showed no mercy.
But that didn't stop you.
You are a young, or old, man, or woman, hoping to find your life in the West. As states are appearing like Iowa and Wisconsin, even California all the way on the coast. But the West also has very large territories up for grabs like the Oregon or Minnesota. But you decide for somewhere in the Mexican Cession, a rather large piece of land that was recently gained from the Mexicans.
The caravan you ride in face hard times while travelling, several die and others disappear, but the trip was worth it. You make it to a small town in what in the future is known to be Colorado near the future Colorado/New Mexico border. But as you reach this town and other smaller towns in this area, you find that it is not all fine and dandy out here. This town has bandits praying on travelers, wolves who stalk the streets at night, and even worse, tales of men who live in the mountains who eat other men.
But you are brave enough to stay. How will you make life in the West? Will you fall to the evil side of things and attack the innocent? It's your story, your tale.
So the basis is that it's Western Expansion era and you happen to end up in a small town that is at the modern border of Colorado and New Mexico. This is a work in progress and I wish to have input from those who are interested and if anyone is willing, I would accept help with creating this thread.
