Fantasy The Underground

"Thank you, Lucas. I won't forget this." Buras said before making his way quickly to the door, giving a brief nod to Adelaid as he passed. She was in good standings with the Crown, so he had to act nice around her. She could be a real, well, bitch sometimes. But at least she hasn't tried to kill anyone yet.

Once out the door and onto the streets, he looks around for the cloud. Seeing it, he hurries his way after it. Running through the streets, no one got in his way. For starters he was wearing a Royal Guard uniform, and second he's a giant. That combination together and the streets almost empty when he starts running. But the Loa seemed to always stay just ahead of him.

((@CelestialBunny and @zCrookedz because you made the Loa))

"You don't have to tell me twice...I don't need headaches on top of whatever else this is..." He gulped, holding a hand over his mouth as he blindly followed the stranger. Whatever was happening it was making him nauseous and lightheaded... But none the less, he kept his eyes closed.
@Aridis
((@rosamortelle . since they are in the open now.))

Adelaide's tail flicked back and forth in annoyance. Her violet eyes followed the giant out of the shop before settling on the witch doctor. A strained smile flashed on her lips as she accepted the kiss to her hand and the compliment. The smile faltered as the shrunken head offered his greetings.

"I beg of you as I have previously, Monsieur Jimbo. I am Madame Cavenhart to you. We are not friends and thus you have no right to refer to me by my first name."

As the hat fell over the chatty Cajun, a sigh of relief escaped her lips. Dealing with a single man was something she could handle. At least a little.

"A pain reliever for my wing," She said, unfurling her elegant butterfly wings so they stretched out to their full width. She reached to her side and gently brushed the ripped edge of her right wing. She winced, a frown on her lips. "It has been ailing me for a while. I think it to be an omen of something to come."

@zCrookedz

Maggie slowly lifted her head up at the sound of rumbling footsteps. Her lips parted to scream, but only a feeble squeak issued from her throat. There was a giant thing coming right for her and there was no way she could get away in time. She closed her eyes shut tight and prayed for a gentle trampling.

Then, came his gentle words and she was picked up from the ground like a little toy. The giant stepped in front of the passageway, effectively sealing off her drunken boss from her.

Slowly, Maggie picked herself up, looking up to the golemn with a gaping mouth.

"U-Um...T-T-Th-Thank y-y-you," Maggie stuttered, blinking up at the creature in a mixture of fear and awe.

@CrimsonEclipse

Lucas watched as Cavenhart opened her beautiful wings and pointed out the spot that was ailing her. He rubbed his sharp chin a bit as he examined the wing "Hmmmm, I believe what I mixed before hand might not be strong enough my dear. But I know I have something that should help ease your suffering." Lucas's charming demeanor flourished when he was around attractive women. Even though he knew who Adelaide was, and what kind of influence she possessed in the Underground, Lucas rarely shied away from a chance to interact with her.

In truth, the salve he had made for her previously was perfectly well suited for her particular problem. If there was one thing that Lucas never screwed around with was his merchandise. But what could he say, having the stunning Succubus in his shop was always a treat.

Lucas walked across the shop over towards his cupboard behind his desk and retrieved a few bottles of various liquids. He placed them on the desk, along with a small jar which he began to place the contents of the bottles into. As he did he looked back up Adelaide with a smile "I do apologize for Jimbo....again.....Madame. He is has a very, le farfelu, personality." Lucas waved a hand with a small bottle in it in the air as he spoke his native language.

@Comix

Bade kept his distance up towards the higher levels of the buildings so he could see a bit further. Not only was he using his basic senses but he was also relying on his more supernatural abilities to point them in the right direction. The air in The Underground was no different from the air that filled the rest of the planet, and with it carried the scents and smells of those it embraced.

Bade came to a stop at a four way intersection of alleys and the normal road. He had noticed the lack of those dwelling on the streets and figured he had his giant companion to thank for that. This made locating anyone left wondering around easy to pick out. Bade hovered for a few more min before he lowered back down to the giant. His goat skull for a head materialized first, then the rest of his corporeal form solidified back to his Satyr like appearance as he landed on the Giants shoulder. "Alright big guy. The princess is just up ahead, she seems to be just wondering around. Bade pointed his hand forward to a street that curved a bit out of sight.

While in the midst of searching through the streets Penelope had stopped by her headquarters to pick up some night gadgets agents weren't allowed to have at home. Unlike other work facilities, people at the the front desk and other agents stopped their conversations as Penelope made her way through the halls. Most of the Order knew to well the consequences of getting in Penelope's way while she was in mission zone. Even after many other agents simply stayed away for they knew an conversation they would try to strike up would be a failure. As such, it's was not long before Penelope got what she came for.

Entering the streets once again, now with a special tracker designated for finding traces of fae that looked like designer sunglasses, Penelope scaled the streets once more hoping to pick up some kind of trace.

It was not until Penelope had made her way to the outskirts of town that a glowing purple light appeared on the screen of her tracker.

"Slavă domnului, and to think that I might have had to go back to the chief with nothing," Penelope proclaimed to the empty alleyway. Following the grid of the city the tracker portrayed, Penelope eventually found herself walking around a corner to an alleyway where she heard the voices of what seemed to be two men chatting. Peeking around the corner Penelope could make out the shapes of the men, which only made her more frustrated. They both appeared perfectly normal, but her tracker set clearly pin-pointed this as the Fae's location. ~I guess I'll just have to capture and interrogate the both of them~ Penelope thought to herself.

Penelope came out of the shadows taking off her tracking device and tying an eyepatch over her glass eye, completely covering the scar around it. She knew the hard part was what she was about to do next. With a sigh, Penelope wrenched out a smile onto her face and approach the men speaking in a soft but calming voice.

"Pardon for my intrusion gentlemen, but I couldn't help but overhear that the two of you could you some traveling assistance."

@Axel1313 @Aridis (also didn't write it here but Penelope did the the rest of her searching in a company car which is just a 5 seat silver average joe car.)

It might've just been his paranoia, but the sudden appearance of the female shook him a bit. Not that he didn't believe that people couldn't be friendly and all... But why the hell would she want to help them? Better question: why was she dressed so damn fancy while wandering around what was basically the slums of the human city? Not that he or Sisceal were really any better with their wardrobes; but they did blend in a little more.

Shoving his hands into his pockets, Atlas glanced back at her. 'Don't freak out.' He thought. 'Don't freak out. Seriously, if you freak out you will either make yourself look like a total fool or get killed. Or both.' Both sounded like a more realistic option...not that he really liked it. He had no idea who this woman was; or what she was. Well, besides human. That bit of the mystery was the easiest to figure out; considering the fact that human and fae souls felt considerably different. To him, at least. The Wraith didn't even approach the thought that she could've been working for the Order. However, he had made it a habit to be naturally suspicious of people, at this point.

He flashed a goofy little grin in Penelope's direction; doing his best to look completely unfazed. "Nah, nah. I gots this. Thank you for the offer, though."

(@Axel1313 @rosamortelle )

"Ugh....maybe she knows the quickest way to a cab? It couldn't hurt to ask right?" Sisceal groaned and buried his head in his hands. He had absolutely no idea who she was or if she was even another human like himself, but right now he didn't care. He just wanted to get home already and be done with this night. Maybe make some nice strong coffee and definitely sleep off the hangover to come.

@Aridis

@rosamortelle

The meeting with his boss went fairly well. It was nothing but the same old same old. Do this do thaaat, don't come to my office so drunk, blah blah blah. As soon as he was free Marius made his way back to the Underground. Still as drunk as ever of course and causing quite a ruckus. It didn't look like the guards were too vigilante today, so that just made him more confident in what he could get away with. Such as terrorizing the more upper class folk.

It had been a long, long day in the Underground for Adina, who was currently walking the streets alone, her cloak drawn over her lighted face. The town was bustling with late night traffic and the young extraterrestrial was looking around for something good to eat. Perhaps a nice piece of meat to tide her over for now. Walking down the street through the people, Adina headed to the butcher to find a nice slab of meat. A small while later, she emerged with a large bag containing her meat on her back, of course going to take some back to the palace as well for the king. She lived close to the palace, so it was quite easy to drop off most of the meat before taking her own slab and heading home.

Silver had just gotten off her work, her long brown hair thrown back in a messy braid down her back as she left the coffee shop for the night. Exhaling softly, she tossed her hair behind her, blowing the loose tendrils in front of her face out of the way as she started to head home. 'Another long day.' She thought, looking around at the people moving lazily about. It was that time of night were the drunks started coming out, so she tried to hurry home as best she could before she ended up running into one.

Lucas concluded his business's for the day, giving the salve to Madame Cavenheart and escorting her from the shop once their business had come to a conclusion. A few others followed suit and Lucas was beginning to grow impatient not knowing weather Bade and the giant had successfully located the Princess. And then there was the human Sisceal that he had helped, he was beginning to wonder if he had gotten to his home without anymore incidents. Of course, Lucas had left him in the hands of a Wraith, so it was very possible he had left the poor bastard in a shadow somewhere. But business was business, and Lucas wasn't going to run money out of the shop.

Finally after a bit of time passed and no one had come in, Lucas sighed and lifted the hat off of Jimbo, who had run himself ragged from his ranting under the hat. As he slept, Lucas placed the hat on his head and stood from his desk. He made his way over to the front door of the shop once again flipping the sign and hitting the lights. "Now then, lets see if I can make it to the pub before a run into another meal someone forgot to finish." As he twisted the key a slight breeze picked up and rustled the hair spilling out from under his hat. Lucas turned to see the little avatar of Bade had found his way back to the shop. Lucas smiled "Bade. Did you find the girl?" The little Loa made a scoffing noise, "I pointed the big lug in the direction he needed to go. Jobs done, I can head back now."

Lucas made a clicking sound with his tongue and sad expression. "Now Bade, I'm heading out for some food. Pubs got whine, or something stronger. Why don't you come have a drink with me? Besides, Jimbo is asleep, summoning you took a lot out of him." The little avatar unfolded his hands and evaporated into his orange mist before materializing on Lucas shoulder as they turned the corner towards some of the streets eateries. "Well, I guess if you put it that way, I might as well have a drink before I go."

Belladonna was getting bored, she hadn't talked to anyone because she would get caught. She looked around her and no one seemed to be around. She started spinning in circles, twirling herself and she was smiling. "Wee!" She said while giggling. Then suddenly she felt her self lose balance, she screamed waiting to hit the hard ground.

Ooc: Sorry

Turning his gaze back to the priest, Atlas thought it over for a moment. They were going to have to call a cab anyways... And to turn down the offer now would make him seem suspicious. Especially since it was kinda two against one in this situation. But, despite thinking that it was an idiotic move, he could see where Sisceal was coming from. The poor human was exhausted and slightly tipsy. To get home quickly would be the best thing in the world for him right now.

However, sympathy wasn't enough to sway his opinion on the matter. One could never be too careful nowadays; especially if that "one" was a non-human. "Oooor," he started, "we could just call a cab for ourselves. I mean, no offense, but she could be a serial killer or something. Besides, I'm supposed to be your trusted guide, remember? I know my way around enough to not get us lost."

@Axel1313 @rosamortelle

He heard her. That way. And then he was off. Bade had already left him, having done his duty. But he had not yet done his duty. And that was towards the Princess. Rounding the corner, he spots her. Standing and place as she spun in circles. Hustling over to her, he scoops her up in one massive hand and begins to head back to the castle.

Marius laughed as they scurried away from him or shot him some nasty looks and called him scum. They could call him names all they wanted, but it was nothing new. He heard that every day of this life anyway, so these snobs sure as Hell didn't bother him.

Eventually he did manage to really tick off one of the nobles. Without hesitation they broke their composure and whipped around to plant a boot right in the center of his chest. "Filthy mongrel!!" Sending Marius flying backwards into the crowd breathless.

@IceQueen

Silver was still walking home from work when she heard a slur thrown to her right, followed by a man who went colliding into her chest. Using her hands to balance him out. "Oi, you shouldn't go around messing with the nobles, you might end up with a skull broken open." She said sternly, still balancing the large man in her arms. "You're heavy, and cold." She grumbled, looking at him. "And you smell like blood." She added, her powerful scent picking up stale blood on his lips, and the strong smell of alcohol.

@Axel1313

"I don't care...as long as I get to go to sleep faster I don't care what we do." He sighed. Hauling himself off of the curb unsteadily. "I'm sorry Miss, your offer is real nice, but I think we can handle things ourselves." He offered her a kind smile. "It will cause you less grief anyway, not havin' ta deal with an old drunk like me."

@Aridis

@rosamortelle

Lucas's can clicked along the sidewalk as he walked down it heading back home. The bar was not the closest to his shop, but he preferred it due to the constant stream of locals that he could always advertise his serves to. He undid the screw from the top of his flask and took a long draft before returning it to his pocket in his coat. Bade had long since left after having a few classes of wine and he and Lucas had concluded their meeting that Lucas had asked for when he offered Bade the wine as payment for information. Now, Lucas flipped the tiny goat skull over in his hand before stuffing it back into his pocket as well.

It was at this time that Lucas's attention was drawn to the sound of scuffling and then the sound of a young woman's voices. He stopped and looked a bit ahead at a young woman and young man sitting on the curb, a small group of what appeared to be nobles stood before them, and as Lucas got closer he recognized the man on the curb. Lucas stepped through the crowd that had gathered around and placed both his hands on the pommel of his cane before speaking to the man on the curb. "Marius Drăguţ Poartă. Does your boss know your out in the street causing trouble once again?" Lucas looked the man over and noticed the blood covering the man. Lucas put two and two together instantly and sighed in exasperation as his mind went back to Siceal and his vampire bite. "Merde Marius, if it was anyone other than myself you would be in serious trouble." Lucas looked to the woman standing next to him and smiled. He did not recognize her so he assumed they were newer members of The Underground. None the less, he tipped his hat to her, his voice shifting to his cool and enticing tone "Good evening Mon cheri. I would not stand to close, that one there can be a bit of a, fou téméraire."

"Oh come on! Lighten up! It's fun as can be." He slurred. Falling back into her arms a bit more before finally regaining his balance. "And heavy? Are you callin' me fat? I'm...*hi*..I'm as light as a feather!" He plopped down on the curb as the world spun. That's when he spied a familiar blur headed his way and an even more familiar voice attached to it. "Ahh....bite me LaFluer! I was just havin' a little fun. Boss said he's gonna be out of town for a while again, so I'm free to do as I please." He flashed him a wide, fanged grin.

@IceQueen @zCrookedz

Silver looked from the man in her arms, to the man who was yelling at him. "So, I don't speak French, so I am not even going to try." She said, shaking her head. Taking the opportunity to let out a long sigh, she looked at the both of them. "Look, I don't know him, he is the one who is, drooling all over me." She said, wiping off her hand. This man was certainly interesting, he was ok, but drunk people were not her thing. She only ever really drank too much when she was at home. "You smell awful." She groaned to him, shaking her head vigorously.

@zCrookedz @Axel1313

Exhaling, the boy couldn't help but feel as though a tremendous weight had been lifted off of his shoulders. Moving closer to Sisceal, he prepared himself to catch the guy if his nausea and drunkness caused gravity to dominate. "Alrighty then, its settled." Atlas motioned for the priest to follow as he began walking away from Penelope. "Sorry, Miss. Maybe next time? When the situation isn't so shady?" He was one to talk...

Rummaging around his jacket pocket, the Wraith fished out a cell phone. It wasn't anything fancy and expensive. Really, it was just one of those uber cheep disposable ones. As much as he hated to use them, it was useful for some things. And, one of those things was calling a taxi. Which was something that they kind of needed at the moment.

(@Axel1313 @rosamortelle )

Lucas watched as the vampire slurred his way through his speech. It was quite amusing to see him in such a state, but then again it wasn't the first time he had seen him. Lucas tried to keep a low profile in the Underground, but even keeping your head low you could still learn a lot. Lucas was aware of the Demon that Marius refereed to as "boss", and he knew he was and extremely powerful person to deal with. So when it came to his job and what it was that his boss wanted him to do, Lucas never stepped over that line. However, he knew the repercussions of vamps biting, and he was fairly certain that was a bit of a problem.

Lucas turned his attention to the woman with Marius. He smiled at her and held out his hand. "Apologizes for not introducing myself mademoiselle, Lucas Lafluer, resident Witch Doctor of The Underground. And this sad puddle of blood and alcohol is Marius." Lucas looked over Marius again, "And I agree you may do as you please Marius, everyone has that right." His shot the man a look with a half cocked smile "Though it should fall within the legal area."

@Axel1313 @IceQueen

"I smell perfectly fine." He stated bluntly to her. Teetering back and forth where he sat as he stared up at Lucas. "Psht. What are you even talking about Lafluer? I never do anything illegal and...and you know it." He hiccuped again. "Besides.....that blood tasted bad anyway...it definitely wasn't pure at all! And full of alcohol too...blech....not enough drinks in the world to wash away that taste."

@zCrookedz @IceQueen

"I hope they get here fast before I end up passing out on ye." He mumbled. Rubbing the side of his neck again. "I need to make sure to pay ye back for all of this too later on. Since you went out of your way to deal with me for a while for your friend..."

@Aridis @rosamortelle

Silver groaned inwardly at the drunk vampire in her arms. "Well no wonder you smell like an alcoholic blood bath, you're a vampire." She said, pretty much tossing him away from her and wiping her hands on her pants. "Remind me to never touch you again." She grumbled, her nose twitching. "See you and me won't exactly ever get along, so yeah, you can go now."

Lucas looked over Marius now, with a bit more exasperation. Siceal's intoxicated blood combined with whatever Marius had already sauteed his liver in was obviously effecting him. "Of course not Marius, your an angel." Lucas laughed at the Marius as the girl tossed him to the side. But when she spoke, he couldn't help but perk up a bit to what she was saying. He thought he had picked up on something about the girl when he had first approached, but her actions had narrowed down his speculations down to one. "I supposed that would make you a Lycan, wouldn't it? My my, we don't get many of your kind here. Their usually running around with their packs in the Aboveground. Interesting to see one such as yourself without her pack." Lucas let his words trail off. This girl had a story, Lucas knew it. Of course he might be a bit more interested if he knew her name. Now he stood with his hands on his cane looking from one to the other. "I don't suppose you have a name do you, Mon petite Loup?"
