"There she is boys" Captain Lelo points out the target, a grand airship from the Gaurma kingdom. This massive flying boat is 
"The Brass Zoom... the Gaurman king's flagship, A ship that transports royalty and wealth, but more importantly the Zoom has enough Zoka on board to fuel a fleet of ships five times over" captain Lelo and his crew knew how dangerous this would be.
The Brass zoom is the largest ship one has seen, outside military efforts mind you...
This marvel of Guarman technology is currently being piloted by a foriegn kings children, Prince Declair and his sister princess Kylin. They travel across the skies to the distant land of Willoro to attend a grand ball to promote unity between the kingdoms... Unfortunately the Guarma royals shall not be attending the planned party.
If it wasn't Lelo and his crew, some other pirates in the skies would make a attempt at the Brass zoom. Even with the small army onboard armed with weapons fuelled by Zoka.
In fact, that probably encourages the more lunatic of the flying raiders.
"we won't fly to our deaths like those fool skulls up there"
Captain Lelo points towards the red skull pirates attempting to capture the Zoom, attempting in this scenario is a large number of men using flying beasts to get close enough to be shot out of the sky...
"I have more than a plan, actually I have three... lets keep following, we strike at night"

It's a fantasy story about some thieves biting off more than they can manage, the main objective is money and Zoka.
Zoka, the magical element discovered by ancient dwarfs of Gaurma deep underground.
Stolen by the elves centuries ago, the elves studied Zoka with obsession before they dissapeared in vast numbers.
Eventually found by humans and with time and assistance, they created technology that matches and surpasses magic.
Ships that fly the skies!
Weapons that even dragons fear!
The power to make mortal men gods...
Magic and monsters are apart of this story, but the main arc is about pirates dealing with the repercussions of their actions.
Magic will be explained further on a CS page but to simplify it.
Most people in this world use magic via crystals called Runes. The colour determines the mana and the shape shows how much Zoka is inside said rune.
One activates a rune with a spark of Zoka and audible instructions. Throwing a red rune whilst shouting fireball is a common tactic.
Zoka is energy that fuels magic, every living thing is born with some Zoka in them.
Mana is what decides the type of magic, every living thing is born with a mana type.
Joe has fire mana, Sally has ice mana but they cannot perform magic as they lack the Zoka to do so.
They do find it easier to use runes of the same or similar type however.
Post requirements is two paragraphs or more twice a week.

Pure Zoka is mined deep underground and sold at a extreme price.
Zoka is used in many forms but it's common knowledge to most that Zoka is a source of energy. It makes the ships float, it makes the gun shoot fire and thunder...
Zoka is also used in rituals but mostly results in death or madness for the participants.
