Alex picked the perfect time to give the room a twirl to show off her outfit as Vinnie entered the room just as his son and daughter were flinging the word prostitute around. Vinnie closed the door and glanced to check everyone invited was present, giving Fortuna and Olivia an acknowledging nod.

"I'm good. Tonight I'm just-" Olivia was cut off from answering Alex when she realised the boss was now in the room.

Vinnie approached his desk and walked towards his own seat which faced the others. Before sitting down, he looked down to Alex and frowned. "Well, I am glad to hear you're not a prostitute, because I really was confused for a moment," he noted. "This is a casino, Alexandra, not a strip club. What the Hell are you even wearing?" he asked, his voice clearly reflecting his distaste for her clothing.

The Romano name was one of quite power in Chicago. He wasn't surprised by it, but he was surprised how much he was able to use it. No one questioned of course, most like thinking he was some family in town visiting, or taking a brief glance at the empire his cousin had built. Both were true yes, but he had his own colorful ideas as well...

Luckily he had a inside man. He was the one who had fed him the cases throughout the years, for a small price of course, but nether the less the bottom feeder did his job exceptionally well. So the location of dear Vinnie Romano was usually known to him. But he'd been in the city for about a few days, and Lorenzo's itch to meddle was flaring. Tonight would be the night.

Waltzing into the casino, he fashioned a brilliantly made scarlet smoking jacket and bow tie. Maybe a tad extravagant, but he wasn't one to not be excitng. Plus it was Halloween! Lorenzo's emerald eyes studied the casino, pausing at a table as he instinctively counted the cards. Drawing his attention back to his task, he spotted what he was looking for. Guards. There was a pair, leaned up against a far wall. Showtime.

"Good evening gentlemen!" Lorenzo's tuscan charm filling the air. "Now I seem to be in quite a pickle. My dear cousin Vinnie had invited me to have an evening with him and
his family, but I can't seem to find him? He told me to meet him in a office of sorts, but as you can clearly see, i've seem to gotten lost!"
The guards hardened when they heard him drop his cousins name, but his bottom feeder had been correct on the meeting, because before he knew it he was led to a pair of grand office doors. The guard knocked, then opened the door for him. With a smile and outstretched arms, Lorenzo spoke. "Ahh Vinnie! It's been to long...!"

Alex turned around when Olivia stopped talking , turning to see her father sitting down in his seat. She shot him a smile but as he addressed her , the smile quickly turned to a frown.
Nicolo watched as his father entered the room and took a seat. When he commented Alex's outfit, he broke into laughter. Nicolo laughed so hard that tears began to form in his eyes. Suddenly he felt a sharp pain from his ear and turned to see Alex once again glaring at him. He rubbed his ear as he mumbled "ow" before looking back at his father.
"Well maybe I have a gig in the strip club after here" she said casually with a shrug. But the look on her fathers face made her quickly speak again "Its halloween and I'm a fairy" she stated as she played with the bottom of her skirt. She heard Nicolo stiffle a laugh but she refused to look in his direction.
"And I made it" she added with a small smile.
When the door Opened Nicolo and Alex's head spun towards the person who entered. Nicolo out of curiosity and Alex from relief that someone had saved her from her fathers nagging.

Vinnie fixed his eyes on Nicolo as the young man burst out with laughter. He let out an impatient groan as Alex hurt her brother's ear, causing him to mutter in pain. "You know, there is space for you in Italy with your grandmother and the others," he threatened. "I don't give a damn if it's Halloween or not, I don't remember outfits like that being part of it. Perhaps you should have bought more materials so you could finish making the skirt..." Vinnie suddenly became aware again of Fortuna's and Olivia's presence. He was about to question why they were even having this conversation in his office. He was prevented from posing such a question when an uninvited guest suddenly stepped into the room with arms outstretched and a smile on his face..

"Ahh Vinnie! It's been too long...!" Lorenzo spoke.

"I'd say it hasn't been long enough, Lorenzo," Vinnie flatly replied, folding his arms and remaining firmly in his seat. "This is Lorenzo Romano - my cousin," he explained, for the benefit of those in the room. He then looked back to his cousin, with a raised eyebrow. "I don't recall inviting you to this meeting. What's the problem?" he asked. Whenever any family member turned up on his doorstep he found it safe to assume they needed or wanted something.

Sinead flinched as Finn playfully punched Conor, and when her cousin wrapped his arms around her brother, Sinead practically jumped up from the couch, not wanting to get in the middle of any potential play fight between them. She kept her arms wrapped around the cushion that she was holding onto to keep warm, rolling her eyes as they talked about getting shitfaced.

"Ah, mate. You seriously think you can out-drink me?" Conor asked, contorting his arm to get Finn in a headlock. "You'll be all over the floor pissed out of your brain and I'll still be sober. You drink like a girl. You drink like Sinead!" he teased. In response, Sinead threw the cushion towards Conor's face, causing him to remove his arm from around Finn's head to shield himself from the flying cushion.

"You two are both as bad as each other," Sinead remarked. She grinned as Finn made a comment about putting Conor in a dress, to which her brother attempted to punch Finn in return. "You're a pair of boneheads," she noted.

"Boneheads?" Conor asked, feigning offence at Sinead. "Did you hear that, Finn? I think those words are fighting talk. I say we just carry Sinead and Maggie out to the haunted house." No sooner had he finished speaking when he gripped Sinead in a bear hug, causing her to playfully scream. "Someone tickle her feet," he suggested, only making her protest more.

"Guys, just go out and get drunk!" Sinead, called out, struggling to get each word out as she attempted to wriggle from Conor's hold. She missed moments like these and she wished she felt in a good enough mood to take full advantage of it all.

As James left for the bathroom, he was briefly trailed by two Romano goons. They followed him down the narrow hall, sinister masks covering their faces. Upon entering the small bathroom, one of the goons slid a metal rod through the handle. This disable the ability to open the door from the inside. After incarcerating James in the bathroom, one of them remained at the door while the other left to inform Angel.

After getting the green light from one of the goons. Angel rested his martini on the bar. "Show time," Angel said, nodding to the bartender. He was escorted through the crowd. The goons large body repelling patrons out of their way. That was until they reached Lucy. Angel circling infront of the guard to her. "Miss Lucy Sullivan, I'm glad you got my invitation." He kept his arms behind his back, sewing on his charming smile. "We have much to discuss. How about a dance?" Angel brought out his hand, sincerely offering it to her.

Alex flickered her eyelashes innocently "but you's would miss me if I want to Italy, you's need a girly touch" Alex's voice was just as innocent as her face. She heard Nicolo snort at her but she once again ignored the urge to flick him. She decided against answering her father again as she could tell he was getting frustrated with them.

When Vinnie introduced the man as his cousin, both Alex and Nicolo's eyes widened. They had never met nor heard of this man. The siblings looked at each other in confusion before looking back at the man infront of them. "Cousin?" Alex muttered

Lucy had been standing around just quietly observing when she noticed the man walking up to her. Seems they had similar tastes in costume ideas. His voice was oddly familiar yet she couldn't guess who was under the devils mask. Her eyes looked to him and noticed a few men making eyes in their direction, watching. Confusion couldn't be seen on her face as her eyebrows knit together but she did not understand what was happening. "So you sent the invitation?" Her voice was smooth as silk as a small smile appeared on her face.

Her gut told her that this was all wrong, that she needed to run from this man instead of taking the hand. But she placed her hand in his and let her lead her to the dance floor.

A light curious gleam started in Athena's eyes at Leo's description of the venue. "It sounds amazing." Athena commented, becoming quite excited to see it in flesh. As Leo drove, she took glanced at him every once in a while. She felt glad that Leo was going out again considering it's only been a matter of weeks since the passing of his father. Athena felt happy that he was getting back to his normal, friendly self. Athena gazed out the window as he drove to the fancy venue.
Once they reached their destination, Leo was quick to open the passenger side car door. Athena exited the car, watching as he handed his keys to the valet, then retrieving a ticket.

As Leo placed his hand on her shoulder, a sudden feeling of comfort came to her. Only for a brief second as Leo lead her to the entrance. Athena played with on of her braids, watching Leo hand an invitation letter to the doorman. Once inside, Athena was utterly amazed. Her eyes gazed upon the fancy decorations. "Wow." Thena mused in awe. Then, the two entered the ballroom. Now the girl's amazement was increased even more. The place looked like it should be in a fairy tale storybook.

Athena sat in a chair as Leo offered her a seat. She turned her attention to him as he asked if she liked it. She raised an eyebrow, "Do I like it? I love it so much." Thena answered with a delighted smile on her face. The girl glanced around the ballroom, "This place is so beautiful." Athena spoke softly, quite taken by the extravagance of it all.

Aidan couldn't help but burst out laughing when Lucy mentioned a quite embarrassing memory of Conor. "Now that's something I would have loved to see." Aid commented with a cheeky grin.
He glanced towards his womanly cousins.

"If you two decide to come, I promise me and the guys won't let anything happen to ya." Aidan said towards Sinead and Maggie. It was then that Finn suggested a guys night.
Aidan awaited on the input of the two young women.

Angel led her to the center floor by the hand, the goons dispersing to their original stations. Circling his finger in the air to the band, he signaled them to begin to play his requested song. Angel smoothly turned to Lucy, sliding his hands to her waist in a slow-waltz position. "This is a famous song from my people, created by a couple of struggling Italians during the 'Great War'." He smiled down to her, locking his eyes with hers. "From first glance, most people wouldn't be able to tell that you're a murderer, but I can. I can see it in your eyes. Not filled with regret and self-hatred, like your boyfriends, but like the eyes of a predator; a wolf. I know that look because I see it every time I look in the mirror."

He swayed her back and forth to the slow beat of the song, similar to those dancing around them. "I am the angel from hell, Giovanni Gambino, and I am here to deliver a message. James took something that belonged to us and destroyed it. Hundreds, Thousands of dollars, gone, in the blink of an eye. Now, i'm not going to tell you to make sure James compensates for the money he lost. No, i'm going to tell you to keep doing what you're doing. Ignore the threats, the lies. Vinnie won't have you killed for wasting his money, he's going to have you killed for murdering his queen. There's nothing you can do to repay him for that."

Lucy placed her hands around on his shoulders and listened carefully as the man spoke. Her eyes went wide at his watered down accusation of her being a murderer but continued to stay silent as he spoke. Lucy never wanted to be any type of predator. Killing Gianna had been a horrible mistake and one that would haunt her for the rest of her existence.

The name rang a bell. Giovanni? Where had she heard that-. Her eyes narrowed slightly, this was the man her sister was so very fond of...or had been. Lucy wasn't exactly sure what had happened to that fling. His words sank in like the titanic and her lips parted as he informed her that Vinnie was planning on having her killed for her act against him and his family. No words came out for a moment as she simply let his smooth words fully develop and replay in her mind. After the shock wore off...she spoke. "Why would Vinnie want me to know this? If I am the predator you say...then I will simply not stay around and die like cattle." Her eyes moved to look towards the people around her. James should have been back by now, but she knew that Giovanni must have sent someone to keep him busy.

Finn scrambled to get out of his cousin's grip, going into another one of his famous laughing fits as he did so. "HEY! Sinead is actually a pro drinker for her height!" Finn came to his other cousin's aid and finally broke free from Conor's grasp. But when she called them both boneheads, he mimicked a sad face and let out a dramatic gasp. "Boneheads! How dare you! We are fine gentleman Sinny!" Finn laughed and made a move to grab Maggie as well but instead of grabbing her, he placed a kiss on the top of her head.

"I won't make you go if you don't want to Mags, but intercourse is a natural thing! Those people were doing what they king of the jungle does!"

Lorenzo knew Vinnie wasn't going to be as welcoming as himself, after what had happened after all... Walking into the room, he made his way to the small minibar to make himself a drink. "Well I think family is quite important Vincenzo, I couldn't imagine you'd disagree? It's a shame your own children don't even know of their uncle- tsk tsk." With his whiskey in tow, Lorenzo returned to his spot on the far wall.

"But you are not wrong. Im intrested in many things, and for the past 10 years i've been quite involved with the Mexican Cartel. But, they are quite simply barbaric. They've lost my intrests. So, i'm looking for a more permanent investment. And what better than family?!" Taking a sip of his whiskey, his emerald eyes studied each of his nieces and nephews carefully. They'd get to know him for sure...

Conor let go of Sinead when Finn commented she was a pro-drinker, his expression suddenly turning quite serious and perhaps a little concerned. "Yeah, Tinkerbell used to love going out to parties and having lots of drinks," he recalled. "What's wrong, sis?" he asked her. She simply shrugged her shoulders, figuring he already knew half of her worries, the ones which came with simply being a Sullivan. The other half of what was on her mind he couldn't know, none of them could. "You're too quiet for someone who usually loves Halloween."

"Oh my God! Fine. I'm going to come out and watch you guys stumble around until you're sick," she gave in. Anything to stop their persistence. "Besides, I bought a cute mask I'd hoped to wear tonight, but the opportunity didn't arise." As she rushed upstairs to put some warmer clothes on, she tapped Maggie's shoulder. "Come with us, Maggie," she suggested. "Aidan's going to look after us whilst the two boneheads get too drunk."

"Yes!" Conor cheered, feeling victorious for getting his way with Sinead. Once his sister returned dressed and ready to go, he look to the others. "Are we all good to go?" he excitedly asked.

Vinnie leaned back in his seat and rested his hands on the surface of his desk. He watched as his cousin helped himself to a drink, but decided there were things more important than that to pull him up on. "Well, Lorenzo. Meet Nicolo and Alexandra," he said, motioning to his children respectively. "I'm afraid my other three are staying with their grandmother in Italy. You do remember my mother, don't you? I'll happily by you a one-way plane ticket to go visit them," he remarked. "Anyway, we also have Fortuna and Olivia. They're both as good as family," he pointed out. His face remaining free of emotion throughout. On his next words, however, the faintest sign of anger was evident. Or was it grief? "It's funny you should mention how important family is. I've been right here all along and that's a known fact. If you think family is so important, where were you when it was Gianna's funeral? Do you even know she's dead?" he coldly asked.

"Mexican Cartel?" he asked, managing a smirk as Lorenzo explained. "Things are much less barbaric up here," he half-joked. "Let's cut to the chase, shall we? What do you need and what do you think you are you going to do for this family's business?" he curiously asked.

Leo couldn't help but smile when Athena told him she loved the place. "I'm actually quite amazed with the place too. I've seen it before, but never as a guest and able to fully appreciate it all. I love it too," he said, flashing his trademark smile. Before he could say anything else, a waiter came to take their drinks order. Leo let Athena order first before he requested a glass of gin, figuring it was too nice a place to simply order a pint of beer. When the waiter left them again, Leo focused his attention back to Athena.

"When we've had a drink or two, what do you say to a dance?" he asked her. He briefly watched those on the dance floor, finding it quite comical seeing devils, witches, vampires and whatever else dancing like it was all perfectly normal. He then looked back to Athena and smiled. "I always wanted to dance with a pretty pirate lady," he flirted.

Angel chuckled as Lucy rebutted. "Oh, please, don't pretend this is news. Everyone knows as long as the Sullivans and Romanos exist in the same universe, there will never be peace. You won't leave, so don't pretend that you will, because there is truth to my words." He lightly shook his head, his smile never leaving his lips. "You can hide your desire to kill as you please," he leaned in close, speaking in a hushed whisper, "your eyes give you away. Despite how much the majority of your family despises me, you and I are two sides of the same coin." He continued to sway with her as if they were only dancing, however, the intensity in the atmosphere could be cut with a knife.

"This whole city's going under water, Lucy, and everyone's drowning like rats. Only people like us will survive; the ones who have a big enough body count to fill a closet, yet sleep like babies." His eyes looked to her lips before resting back on her eyes, his nose inches away from hers. "Who knew evil rested within such beauty." He leaned, conturting his mask so he could kiss her. He briefly pulled away, leaving her in a stunned disarray. "Until next time, Miss Sullivan." He backed away until completely vanishing into the crowd.

James had been glad nobody else was in the men's restrooms when he entered. The last thing he wanted was to be stood next to some guy in another dumb costume. When the door had closed behind him, he didn't think anything of it. It wasn't until he'd finished and tried to pull the door open to leave that he realised something was amiss. After tugging at the door handle a few times with no luck, it was pretty obvious to him that something was suspicious. "Open the fucking door!" he yelled, in the hopes some asshole was stood at the other side listening. After no luck, he slammed the bottom of his boot against the door, before angrily stepping back. He pushed the hat backwards to knock it off of his head, the string around his neck catching it so it hung rested against his back. If the last few weeks had taught him anything, it was that the restroom door was not jammed by accident, which also told him Lucy was more than likely in trouble. "I'm going to rip the bastard's head off," he muttered, not exactly sure who the said victim would be.

After double-checking the weight on the inside of his jacket was indeed still his gun, he began walking around the restroom, checking for any other exit. The windows would have been big enough to climb out of, were they not protected with metal bars. He stood still for a time as he reminded himself to relax. Situations like this never phased him in the past, but in the past he only had his own life to think about.

Alex and Nicolo watched as their father and Cousin conversed, sneaking glances to each every so often. They both found it strange that this man had suddenly shown up but for not knowing him, well they didnt really know anyone on their father's side of the family so that wasnt very shocking.
When Vinnie introduced them by name, the two siblings turned to face Lorenzo, Nicolo mearly gave him an acknowledging nod not really wanting to say much until the tension subsided. Whereas it was like Alex had never picked up on the tension. "Hi" she said with a sweet smile "I dont know if the right thing to do is to shake your hand, hug you or do nothing" she commented with a laugh.
When Lorenzo mentioned the mexican cartel, Nicolo's eyebrows raised in interest, meanwhile it made Alex a bit weary off the man, his intentions and his capabilities, while she knew her family were killers, she also knew that they were nothing compared to the cartel. The mention of their mother resulted in both Alex and Nicolo to lower their heads, still hearing her name was hard for them but their father did have a point, Lorenzo never made contact when she had died. Alex wanted to give him the benifit of the doubt but with her fathers reaction to seeing his cousin, she knew that it was probably best to not give him that. However Nicolo couldnt help but feel bad for Olivia and Fortuna who he guessed probably felt very awkward in the room with all the tension in the air.

Lucy didn't want to believe the words Giovanni told her as they continued to waltz. His words were the harsh truth but a smile accompanied it. The nightmares that clouded her once pleasant dreams were of the victims' she had killed...and those she would. Lucy had been struggling internally with this truth for sometime now...and he could see right through her as if she were transparent. She wanted to argue that they were nothing alike, she knew of the things Giovanni did to his victims...they were nothing like what Lucy had done. She had tried to convince herself that she was protecting her family, but deep down it brought her great pleasure to know that Vinnie had it out for her, that he was experiencing pain.

She felt a bit sick as he continued on. His eyes had torn from hers to stare at her lips and before she knew it, he kissed her in such a way that made her breathless and sent the room spinning. The word Evil rang in her ears at his words before he kissed her and she watched as he disappeared into the crowd, as if he never even existed. Lucy could definitely see what her sister saw in the man, handsome, suave and a bit on the mysterious side...but he revealed a dark secret to her that she was sure Sinead didn't even know.

Lucy's fingertips moved to brush her lips slightly before she snapped out of her stupor. Looking around the dance floor, James was no where to be seen. It scared her to know that in all that time, her mind never went to him. It terrified her. Moving off the dance floor, she made her way towards the men's room and noticed the bar on the door. "What the hell?" Quickly grabbing it, she pulled it off and opened the door. "James?" Concern laced her voice.

Finn smiled happily as the Sinead finally gave into them and agreed to come along. Of course, Aidan basically saved the day by telling the ladies that he would look out for the girls, leaving Conor and himself to get hilariously shitfaced. Looking towards his sister, he noticed that she was just as quiet and playfully ruffled her hair, trying to get some kind of reaction from her about all of this.

Sinead left to get ready and Finn chatted with everyone casually, "I am challenging you to this drinking contest mate! And it won't be much of a contest because I have definitely grown in the area of drinking since you last saw me!" He told Conor confidently and laughed. "But if I do end up losing, you have to promise to try and carry my sorry ass home!" He told Conor and gave a large smile. When he saw Sinead come downstairs he whistled again, "Okay rule number one, if I see any men looking at you or Maggie, I will make them go through a vigorous questionnaire. If they can't get past the first question then they aren't the right one for you, got it?" Finn teased both his sister and Sinead.

When the door opened, James was ready to defend himself, but didn't need to when he saw it was Lucy who had opened the door to let him out. He let out a relieved breath, upon realising he may not have to paint the bathroom tiles red with some guy's blood after all. "Are you alright?" he asked her, briefly placing his hand on her arm as he looked her over. Seeing she didn't appear hurt, he stepped out of the restrooms and looked around. "What happened, Lucy? Do you know who locked me in here?" he said as he diverted his eyes back to her.

The blonde was almost 100% sure that she knew who had done it. Leave it to the Romano's to be able to plan out such a thing. Her eyes looked around the bathroom for a moment as James stepped out of it and looked around the hall. When he asked what happened, she knew she would have to come up with something quick.

Her eyes met his and she smiled...it was real and genuine, "I was just getting a drink at the bar, then I noticed how long you had been gone so I came to find you..." Her expression changed to concerned, brows knitting together. "I'm not sure who locked you in here, but no one was in the hallway when I got here." Lies. That was the only things that came from her mouth at the moment. The last part was partially true, she knew who had locked him inside the bathroom...probably one of Vinnie's goons. But she didn't know exactly who.In that moment, she felt disgusted with herself. She was lying to James and it was surprisingly easy.

James seemed to have it completely wrong. He wasn't bad news at all...

Perhaps Giovanni was right about her...that she was a cold blooded killer who could sleep soundly at night knowing the number of people she has made nonexistent. What would James think of her then...if she were really a predator like he spoke of. Would he still love her, even though she was a monster? Would she be able to see the smile on his face again? The way he gets all bashful about certain things and turns red. Lucy's expression grew rather sad for a moment as she thought of her little white lie. She didn't tell him Giovanni kissed her or that he had spoken to her. But nothing in her mind was going to change that decision. And she was sure that it would be the start of the end for her and James.

Tears came to her eyes under her mask and one escaped, slowly falling past the mask down her cheek. Reaching a hand forward, she placed it on his cheek before stepping closer and pressing her lips against his. The kiss was gentle and held a hint of finality in it. Lucy was sure she would lose him....whether that was by the hands of Giovanni or Vinnie, she wasn't sure.

By her death...she then decided, would definitely be the best way. He would remember her for who she wasn't...and that's the way she wanted it to be.

James shrugged his shoulders and let out a slight sarcastic laugh. "I don't know who put it on the door. If I did, we wouldn't be stood here talking about it," he said, still irritated by the whole thing. It was not a random act and he wouldn't be foolish enough to believe it was. They were in a building with grown-ups. It only left him wondering what the purpose was and was it meant to distract from something else.

When Lucy mentioned she'd been getting a drink at the bar, he nodded his head. "Here I was thinking it was good service here," he observed, noting the many waiters serving people at their tables.

James noticed the tear sneak from beneath Lucy's mask, right before she gave him a tender kiss. He happily returned it, before stepping back and looking her in the eyes. "Are you okay, love? This party is mean to be fun, isn't it? I'm not sure if it's living up to its name." He placed his hand on her waist and led her back to the main area of the ballroom. He'd not bothered to put his hat back on his head, feeling more comfortable with out it.

Something was definitely not right and James couldn't quite place it. He figured he'd been careless to relax and switch off from the fact that both of them were targets at any one time. "This place isn't as exclusive as we thought, is it? I mean, I already sighted Romanos before I went to the restroom." He paused, which may well make Lucy feel nervous or caught out. "You didn't happen to notice if he was near the restroom door, did you?" he asked, motioning his head towards Leo and Athena. He knew the lad had just lost his father and that Sullivans had been partly to blame.

Vincenzo Romano and Olivia Svensson

Olivia glanced to Fortuna as they sat in the middle of the room listening to the two men go back and forth. She decided it was safer to just sit quietly unless Vinnie told her to leave, not wanting to speak up during the heated conversation and risk being snapped at. She glanced to Nicolo and Alex, sending them an awkward smile. She figured this wasn't any easier for them either.

Vinnie rolled his eyes as Lorenzo started explaining what he'd been doing with himself and passed judgement on how he'd been running the Romano business. "I preferred it when you were being tucked safely away from my side of the family. Or at least when you were out negotiating in Mexico. Not standing here criticising how I run things." He wasn't completely ignorant or against hearing the man out, though. He just had to get his word in. "I'm not an unreasonable man. I also know it's good practice to hear out a business proposition before rejecting it," he relented. This was another time when someone had been lucky enough to confront Vinnie in front of his family, as it made him more open to reason. "I'm not sure if we have long enough to talk out our differences," he remarked, looking to his watch before flashing an unexpected smirk.

Lorenzo took the cannonfire head on, not surprised in the slightest by Vinnie's reaction. "I preferred it when you and your tramp in Sicily Vinnie. We all have dreams." There wasn't anger, nor frustration. Just deliberate jabs. That's how Lorenzo did buisness, deliberately.

Setting his now empty glass on a empty end table, he tucked his hands in his pockets as he leaned back against the wall. "You've been doing this quite awhile, Hell this is your life Vinnie. It's taken me 30 years, and a pair of dictator parents, but i'm here. And i'm good. Now you may not belive that aspect, but my work speaks for itself."

He narrowed his emerald eyes, the final rebuttal coming. "I doubt we have enough time on Earth Vinnie to sit through that. I doubt you have any patience for me, but remember this. Who's the one who helped you defect to America? Who's the one who ran through the grape fields with you as young boys, not having a care in the world? We're still family Vincenzo, you may not belive or like that fact, but you can't change blood."

Vinnie smirked as Lorenzo made his jabs. He wouldn't say it out loud, but he found it refreshing on the rare occasions that someone did argue with or stand up to him. Obviously he'd draw the line somewhere and if pushed enough in a situation, he wouldn't be totally against offing a relative. But for now, Lorenzo was toeing the line and actually secretly humoring Vinnie.

"My father is the one who got me here, Lorenzo," Vinnie stated as fact. Vinnie got up and approached the bar, grabbing himself a glass and filling it with whiskey. He then refilled Lorenzo's glass before setting the bottle on his desk in front of the others present, making it clear they could help themselves to some alcohol. "Oh yes, I remember those summers and holidays when we returned home," he recalled, thinking of Sicily. A small smile played on his lips. "Unfortunately, I'm long past the days of not having a care. My brothers and sister would be more thrilled than I am to know you're back in the picture," he told him. "I wouldn't even dream of trying to change blood. It's doesn't mean I can't take pleasure in grating on them though," he said, surprisingly following his words with a chuckle.

Lorenzo couldn't help but smile. He could tell Vinnie was getting to the point of amusement as well, and he graciously took the glass from his cousin. "Ahh Vincenzo you're quite a trip aren't you...?" Taking a quick sip, he set the glass back down, having his fill.

"Shame we both had to grow up..." Life was cruel in many ways, and time never made anything kinder. "But, I am not as light in my loafers as you may precieve cousin. It's been 15 years, and time has done its work on me." Glancing at his watch, then back at the people in the room, as the silence ate at the room viciously.

"I'm no lawman anymore, but i've got the trades of one. So Vincenzo i'm done playing this chess match with you, it's growing rather stale. Give me a answer."
