It was hot to say the least. Not even a cloud could be spotted in the sky. Birds were hiding in the shadows of nature, trying to find some cooling. Even the small ponds in the forest were lukewarm, not even a chance to take a quick cold bath. The groaning of the hunters could be heard as they took their prey back with them to the town. The sweat was standing in pearls upon their skin. The tired expression on their face was clearly visible. It was a good thing they went early in the morning or they would have a tough time right now. Like those who were obliged to train in order to defend the kingdom.

Despite him already being accustomed to the rigorous training, he was still sweating moderately. It was just way too hot… He’d rather move around in the cold, snow covering his body so he could blend in with nature easily. It also felt a lot nicer. He could run around to fend of the cold, his body gaining a normal body temperature as well. The best thing in his mind. However those that he instructed weren’t that excited about it. They’d rather have the average temperature. Not too hot, nor too cold. Because of this, they decided to not give him any students for the time being as most of them quit. Cowards is how he called them for not even being able to do this. How would they even stand a chance against the monsters lurking in the depths of the shadows.

However after a year, he was called upon again with the task to create the perfect hero. Which was… an impossible task. None could be perfect. None. He said he would do his best to make them in a proper hero, that was all he could say. He didn’t make any promises that he wouldn’t be able to hold for sure. It wasn’t in his nature to do so.

Sitting upon a bench in the headquarters, waiting for those who wanted to become those that were looked up against. Those who would save the people’s lives from evil. That was, if they managed to endure the training and situations they were going to be put in. As life wasn’t exactly all rainbows and sunshine.

Thaddeus "The Quack" Quillin
Location: HQ
Interactions: Brecc Ó Carra ( Doughnut Doughnut )

Today was a special day for Thaddeus Qullin better known as Deus or 'The Quack' to most for today was a day he had spent over the past decade waiting and training for today was the day his training to become a hero began. In Deus's eyes this day was long overdue in fact his original plan was to begin his training at the age of twenty-one but his cautious nature had stopped him, in fact, his cautious nature had stopped him completely instead he spent the next seven years honing his doctoring and acupuncture skills and another three finding a master to teach him a fighting style that would allow him to put his unique skill set into combat use. It took Deus a total of ten years for this day to finally come.

Today while a special day indeed was just like any day for Deus he had awoken before the sun had even risen and had spent the first few hours sat at a desk reading various documents over and over, these documents listed the acupuncture points of both monsters and humans alike. While the human document was one that he knew just from memory, the newer documents about the various species of monsters acupuncture points were ones he needs to research thoroughly before he would use his usual fighting style against them these documents being both incomplete and relatively new didn't make things any easier.

The sun finally rose and from the second it did Deus could tell it was going to be a hot one, the sweat dripping from his forehead before he had even done anything strenuous proved that. With the sun up it was as good time as any for him to get an hour of training in before he had to meet with his instructor. Deus's training was fairly common among many combat practitioners using 'shadow' boxing' to train, in his head he sets up an opponent and using physical movements and actions fights this imaginary foe however Deus rather than imagining a full foe he does it scenarios wise. So he'll imagine someone throwing a punch and run through what he would do to counter-attack.

Deus started his training with his opponent throwing a punch and in a split second Deus began reacting, his right arm moving to intercept his opponents punch using his Praying Mantis hook to both redirect and adhere onto the opponent's wrist wrapping onto it just using his thumb and his index finger. Using both his force and the force already applied by his opponent made redirecting simple now came the counter, unbeknown to most the wrist had three acupressure points. Two sedation which is useful to lower an opponent's overall strength as it leaves them with a light numbness but it's the third that Deus was after a stimulation point. These can have two effects if used right they can feel strange but nice but when used to harm they have a sharp and painful effect that differs depending on the place, when used on the wrist it has a sharp and lingering pain.

Deus chooses to start with this point due to the control it gives. Deus compares this control to leading someone around by the nose, they want to fight back, the try to fight back but the more they do the more painful it gets. This hold, however, is remarkably easy to get out of but Deus only needs it to rotate the opponent's arm around allowing access to the acupressure points on the back but most the Shouwuli point located just above the elbow. The Shouwuli point is unique due to one property of it and that's the type of pain it produces, unlike the stimulation point on the wrist that causes a lingering pain, the shouwuli's pain simulates the arm breaking allowing for more control over the body but upon being released causes no actual pain only playing on the nerves to simulate it. With Deus's left arm he moved it directly onto the Shouwuli and began applying pressure.

This pressure mixed with the force Deus is applying to the wrist forces the opponent forward opening up his whole side, Deus applied more pressure to the Shouwuli point keeping his opponent where he wanted him, from here the plan is simple. Deus removed his right hand swiftly moving it back to his body and unlike normal while he usually uses the Praying Mantis hook his stance slightly changed changing his usually 'hooked' finger into more of a knuckle shape, this next acupressure point requires more force than most. With a swift diving force, Deus moved his right hand directly towards the Taiyang acupressure point more commonly known as the temple. This usually has one of two effects the better is that it knocks out the opponent but if not it would usually leave them delirious. Deus spent the next forty-five minutes doing various scenarios like this.

To many Deus's training style is flawed mostly due to the fact that it's one quick scenario into another rather than an actual fight but Deus has a good reason for this, his 'shadow boxing' isn't made to improve his fighting style too much but more to put his years of theory into practice allowing him to imagine his striking points on a target rather than staring at in on a piece of paper. Deus whipped a sticky layer of sweat off his forehead before using the sun to judge the time it was time to meet his teacher.

Deus left the area where he was training, the sweltering sun scorching him as he walked, while he didn't notice it while he was training too much due to him before too focused on it now that he has stopped he could feel how warm it was and oh boy today was going to be difficult if it stayed like this. Deus quickly arrived at the headquarters he had roughly been told who he was looking for or at least enough to be able to pin down who would be his teacher. Deus paused for a second before making his way over and let a smile cover his face it was time to become a hero. Deus walked over to the male and swiftly bowed before rasing himself. "Thaddeus Quillin, I'm hoping you are the one who's going to teach me how to become a hero."

Baa'ruk Azwel
Location: HQ (Eventually)
Interactions: Brecc Ó Carra ( Doughnut Doughnut ) , Thaddeus Quillin ( ToothlessEnt ToothlessEnt )

It had been quite the journey for Baa'ruk, who had been riding on the back of Wildefang for a fairly long time now. It wasn't even the constant use of mana that was required to keep the beast summoned that had been draining him, but the sweltering heat of the sun bearing down on his person. His attire was fairly dark, mostly due to being in an area where such a scheme was rather normal. The young man had whipped out a small fold-able fan as he laid back on his friend, lightly fanning himself to try and stay somewhat cool whilst he took in the surroundings. From to time to time he would redirect his friend, the less intelligent beast sometimes wandering off course after being distracted by something that would catch its eye. It wouldn't be long though before the pair had finally made it to Phira, the host to the headquarters where he was supposedly going to be trained at.

Having never been to this place however, it was confusing to Baa'ruk as to where he should head next. Unlike the description that he had been told, the area was not near a large forest where the headquarters would be easily visible, but what appeared to be the entertainment district, dozens and dozens of people pawning off their wares to travelers while some simply enjoyed themselves. Odd... Seeing the stares that he and his friend had been getting, the black haired man got off of Wildefang and un-summoned him, pulling a cloak over him to cover his eyes from the hot sun and to avoid any confrontation due to his mixed race. Once again pulling out the description that he had been told, the half elf looked around, clearly a bit confused. His wandering continued for a couple of minutes before an old man had called over to him. "Hey! You there!" Baa'ruk wouldn't move, like a deer in headlights his next steps were unknown to both the old man who called out to him and himself. He lifted his hand up, pointing to himself as if to double check that it was actually him that the old man had been speaking to. Clearly annoyed, the stranger raised his voice: "Of course its you I'm talking tah! Git over here!" The young man moved cautiously towards the man, a vendor of some kind with his arms resting upon the counter top.

"There we go... Yeesh. Yar lookin' a lil' lost there eh? You new to Phira?" Hesitantly, the summoner nodded, still quite unsure whether or not this man was to be trusted. "No need tah' get cold feet there sonny! Just a local tryna help out a helpless traveler that's all." The old man grinned with his statement before continuing, "So where are yah tryna go? If yar lookin' for an inn there are more than enough tah choose from!" Baa'ruk shook his head, handing the description that was hastily written down on a piece of parchment. The old man's face lit up slightly, looking at the summoner with a gleam in his eye. "Oh I see now... Yar one of those ehhh... Heroes in training eh? Headquarters is in the West district o' Phira. Yar gonna want tah keep moving forward down this road 'til yah get to the central square... trust me yah won't miss it! Then just make a left n' keep goin' til yah see more people like yerself!" The young man simply nodded before taking the parchment back from the old man, bowing as he did so, then beginning to follow the old man's directions.

Going this way did result in the summoner finding himself in the western part of Phira, right in front of the headquarters. When he walked in he had immediately been beset by a receptionist, who had immediately asked where he was going and what he was doing here. Rather than answering, a bit flustered by the lady's very sudden interest in his actions, Baa'ruk simply handed her the parchment that told him to come here. After scanning it over, the woman leads him to the training area, pointing toward two figures in the distance that the black haired man couldn't make out. Oh well... Making his way over to the two, both Thaddeus and Brecc had finally come into view, the young man tossing aside his hooded cloak and bowing at Brecc. "Baa'ruk... I was told you're the one who's going to be training me?" The summoner glances over at Thaddeus, standing up and holding out his hand toward him. "And you must be working with him too... right?"

Alron Casdor
interaction ToothlessEnt ToothlessEnt Doughnut Doughnut
Alron walked his way down the path towards the training grounds, his black armour, wings (currently being Used sort of like a cap) and tail made him an imposing presence to be sure, and one very unique to his family truth be told however Alron was a nervous wreck he’d been chewing on a bits of iron the entire trip to here to try a calm his nerves. One small compensation for Alron when it came it his armour was it hid how he was feeling form others, even if it was fused to his body, not that he really had a say in it family image and all heck that was the reason he was here in the first place, to keep up appearances. his father had convinced him to become some "hero".... well it wasn't exactly that. it was more to make sure Alron did something useful with his life... of course, he really didn't have a choice. Arlon wasn't exactly comfortable with all the looks he was getting from other people, but at least they were not talking to him soo that was a plus still unsettling though

looking around for a moment there appeared to be a gather of people and one of them looked like his apparent trainer Brecc Ó Carra. heading towards them. a somewhat foul alchemical stench preceded his own arrival, maintaining a composed and imposing exterior as he looked at them all “hello... I assume we shall be working together then?” his words where a monotone flatness lacking any emotion behind them but In truth, Alron was worried about what everyone else might think

Herath Alabaster~ Location: HQ
There are those who lead, and there are those who submit. For the sake of their aspirations, Herath was willing to follow this scorching day across hills, bridges, and valleys toward HQ. Their carriage rocking back and forth with the stones and dips on the dirt road. Their estate was a speck on the horizon and soon disappeared from the hazed horizon. An egotist through and through, Herath mused that if they could not see it, it did not exist. Like if a tree falls in a forest and no one is there to witness, does it make a sound? No, the tree's death had no meaningful impact, so it practically didn't exist at all. Herath's thought process was a slight more literal than that. They thought more like the world simultaneously created and destroyed itself as their view changed. The idea had plenty of kinks; but if they needed to argue, certainly they would win.

Herath shook their head of those thoughts as the driver reminded them of their proximity to HQ. Barely a half-hour until their goal was reached in more ways than one. The conflict at hand was proof that the world which resided now was in ruins. And, it is out of these ruins in which Herath will build a world anew. Becoming a hero through this training was their first step. Never skilled at combat, the only experience Herath had was during hunting season. The animals were target practice and gifts for the serfs. They had no idea what to expect as the carriage came to a halt. For the first time in hours, the sweltering rays pelted Herath's pale, sensitive skin. "I need to get used to this," the noble murmured as they made their way closer to anyone of importance.
