Four criminals walked into the mystic den. A exquisite house that was mysterious in many ways, the four crooks had been invited by a powerful demon "impressed by these souls and the actions they take"
The four met with the demon one by one and each was asked
"what do you want most in this world?"
All for the sake of ruling the Gotoh kingdom...
One wanted power,
One wanted knowledge,
One wanted wealth,
But the last crook was different.
He assumed the demon's plan was to help them by securing the strongest warriors, monopolising magic in its many forms and stealing from the wealthiest in all the land. The last crook knew it wouldn't be them who ruled the kingdom, it would belong to the demon.
So when the last crook was asked
"what do you want most in this world?"
The last crook answered "I want to be the devil" killing the demon and absorbing it's magic...

but that part of the story isn't even relevant. Let's get on to the plot proper starting with the lands known as Jarack.

Jarack's history is stained with war.

Countless battles have been fought between Jareedi and Maho. But Jarack has always been divided into three. The main reason being any attempt made to enter the lands known as Akuma resulted in death... The elemental armies of Jareedi nor the Spellswords of Maho could not conquer the altered lands. It only brought truth to legends and stories making it known fact that any who enter the altered lands of akuma, die.
Those legends are ancient history, let me tell you what's currently happening.

Jareedi rules Jarack, they have the most territory and the battles only ended once Maho surrendered the city of Mogga and the lands that surround it.
Jareedi, masters of combat and the elements they have only taken more and more from Maho over generations. Always expanding further and further, they forged armies and burned a path forward. But it was in no way a easy victory...

The city of Mogga was literally built around the ancient elf library of knowledge and magic which translated to human tongue is said in the same way as the city,  Moggah. A Jareedi general who was lucky enough to study at that library in his youth knew the importance of that historical building and the knowledge within it...
By leading a elite team into the library and taking it by force, Dartha Rout was able to threaten the entire country of Maho into surrender or else they would burn everything inside the library and then the city to the ground. The Magic king had two options... neither path led to victory, The only hope he had was that by surrendering the city Jareedi wouldn't destroy the heritage and magic that is Mogga.

This led to the creation of Rolragga, it took four years but it's the best of Jareedi and Maho. Elf and Human culture blended into one beautiful enchanted city. Rolragga Serves as a border between Maho and Jareedi, while the library is overseen by Maho's elite the city is Jareedi. In current days, Jarack lives in a age of uneasy peace.
With the unfortunate death of the fire king, his wife proved herself cunning aswell as strong and she was elected as the new ruler of Jareedi.
In a effort to control her divided kingdom Shina Hart created a new title that demands respect and alludes to her strength and power. The Dragon Queen.
(Though she would probably feel silly about that later)

With the Magic King's surrender Ains Circa was able to save the grand library of Mogga, Though the city was taken and remade into Rolragga with jareedi forces occupying more land. The magic king has spent the four years since building strength and scheming. Though most of Maho's population is divided when it comes to Circa royalty.

Alot has happened in Akuma, while Maho and Jareedi engaged in numerous battles... more than fifty tribes fought and eventually united under one chief.
It was during the Mogga wars that Welt Stawa became the First king of Akuma, the most talented beast master in all the land. The legend king became known to the rest of Jarack when he rode a purple dragon into the city of Rolragga where Welt demanded the land of fire and the land of magic respect his people his land and his words... Of course when a man riding a mythical monster arrives and makes demands, people listen.

The diplomats meeting at Rolragga have managed to form a alliance between the three kingdoms...
And at the dragon queens request, the three kingdoms will send important figures as marriage canidates to a party at Rolragga, a social event to meet new people, a way to strengthen the bonds between the lands.
But while the Dragon Queen continues to assert dominance over Jarack and the magic king wishes to retake Maho's lands and further, The Akumans have news of a terrifying threat to Jarack.

The story starts at a event being held in Rolragga, royalty and important figures from all across Jarack shall be in attendance. It is there the Akumans shall share what they know.
But is it to late?
===============================
This is a medieval fantasy world with magic and monsters, There is two main narratives at play here but depending on player count the first one may get summarised a tad.

1) who shall rule Jarack? Each kingdom has the means to rule, some easier than others but members of each three kingdoms wish to sit on top with the other two being subservient.

2) a Demonic faction moves to invade Jarack and they have the numbers and strength to do so. Only the Akumans have survived battle against these foriegn invaders.

If you choose to play you shall be making a character or two from one of the three factions.

From Jareedi you would be making a member of Hart royalty, the late Fire King or the Dragon Queen's son or daughter. That or a elite warrior hand picked by the Dragon Queen. The Jareedi magic is elemental. Air, Water, Earth and Fire. Think avatar bending.

From Maho you would be making a member of the Elf armies, a Spellsword or a Knomage. Also there is the Magic King's children, though the eldest of the Circa Bloodline has recently been murdered along with other important indviduals throughout Maho. Elves have their own thing going on magic wise but it involves spirits and souls aswell as their own power. They have the potential to use any magic.

From Akuma you would be making someone chosen and trusted by the legend king, a warrior or one of his own old enough to travel. Akumans are essentially altered humans so they have their own magic system aswell.
Basically force powers. Electricity, telekinesis, telepathy and a few more.

The rp would change depending on how many people join. Ten or more players could have this being a faction based deal with families, teams, alliances an so forth working towards objectives or betraying them. With less players it is more about a team of elites made up from each kingdom being the spearhead in regards to dealing with the demonic army looking to invade Jarack.

Either way to participate you'd need to post two paragraphs or more once a week.
(twice if the player count is small)

to learn more or express interest post below with questions or written consent allowing me to take small chunks of your life for the next three to six months.
(Assuming the rp starts and doesn't die within two weeks)

I would be interested in joining, but I do have a question. When you say force magic, would that include bardic magic? I have interest in playing a character chosen from Akuma who is particularly gifted with persuasion though her lack of social ambition is a frustration for her family.

What your on about would fall under the "mind magic" that Akumans can have, but the family issue would need workshopping.

Akumans can more or less be summed up as tribal monster hunters.
They usually kill invaders and rarely go outside their land.

Jareedi and Maho are the sorts with social ambition cause they have currency and written language, more in the middle ages while Akumans are still sharing info by talking and drawing pictures
