Deleran- The Snake’s Eye
The Ine man finished his coffee as he noted the mercenary's unmoved stack of coins and chuckled within himself. As the cards were dealt he gently lifted them to see their value then moving his amber eyes back to the mercenary with a focused look. The drunken state of the gambler seemed to be diminishing quickly or he was not as drunk as he appeared as he slowly pick the cards up in consideration of his play. They were decent, the cards, but Bast knew how to work a table against a tight purse. He would tap a ringed finger against the table, gently setting his cards face down "Check." His gaze would shift briefly to the gathering of people and spotting, quite easily, the silver haired swordswoman from earlier. While his face remained blank, something in his eyes would shift, before focusing back on the one eyed mercenary "So, Khogan, what's the shtory with the eye?" He would lean forward a bit over the table "Were it them dark magic wielding mages in the city? No, no. Too recent, too new." He would shake his head, keeping eye contact as patrons began murmuring about the mention of mages. "Betrayal. Aye." He'd slide a coin next to his cards to solidify the confidence in his statement and to bet on his next turn.
"But do tell us, swordshman. The tale o' yer eye and about the attack today. Or maybe the pretty, yet alarmingly scary, lady wit' the shilver hair could add to it." With a nod in Silver's direction hwould casually spin the gold coin the sound almost muffled by the din of the spreading fear laced murmurings of the patrons in regards to the mages. Evidently news hadn't made to the Snake's Eye yet.
