Fantasy The Cofee Pot Café (closed)

"I have a good feeling I know where it is." She said grabbing her water and drinking it. She used her sirens voice to keep the boy calm. She lead the way to the town.

Host Quynn Zelphar

Quynn had been reading, and now he was late. It was a pretty poor excuse, but he'd found this cute little bookstore at the edge of town and- well, the details weren't important. All that matter was that he was late for his first day on the job.

The elf pushed through the doors of the Cofee Pot Cafe, loving the cool interior just as much as the day he applied for the job as host. Whatever that entailed.

He stepped aside to let a boy and girl exit, the boy looking quite worried. If Quynn hadn't been so worried himself, he might have tried to help, but they looked like they were on a mission. Good luck, kids, he thought as they disappeared through the door.

Quynn smiled pleasantly at the large group of customers as he tried to find his new boss. His search turned up nothing, so he settled for the bartender, a pretty girl with impressively curly hair. Brushing a pale hand through his tousled black hair, Quynn wove his way through the crowd, black trench coat swirling at his heels.

"Quynn Zelphar, the newest host," he said in way of introduction, skipping a handshake as the bartender seemed to have her hands full with customers. "Do you know if I just jump in or...?" His sentence trailed off as he noticed the robot who was just finishing his song. The cafe kept getting stranger and stranger.

But as far as Quynn understood his job, he was there to keep the guests happy. Can't be too hard, he thought, running his fingers through his hair once more and putting on a charming smile.

Taichi "Tai" Kimoto

Upon arriving in the town, Taichi's jaw dropped. "Wh-Whoa, this place is magnificent." He stuttered. The town was bustling with people of all different shapes, sizes, and races. There were people flying around the town, people riding on horses, or people just lazily sitting around. Tapping the girl on the shoulder, "So, where do you think the horse is?" Taichi asked inquisitively @LilyannaGaming

Natahn had been busy running to and from town all day, completing every task that was assigned to him. It kept him busy all day and gave him little time to socialize with his co-workers, but he was sure they would understand. He entered the Main Hall and saw two of them, Mesa and Taichi, heading out.

"Where are we headed?" he asks ready for adventure. It wasn't often his tasks were exciting and this seemed like a unique opportunity, he was already on board. @iChaotic

The Missing Stallion

Snowfire looked around the dim shop. It looked more like a cross between a sultan's chamber and an old-fashioned antique shop.

There were many fat little poufs and large squishy bean pillows big enough for people to lay on. Crammed in the walls were shelves upon shelves overburdened with gold trinkets, some exotic monster fangs, shrunken heads, alchemical materials that looked dangerously illegal, and many, many colorful potion vials, bottles, flasks, and porcelain urns stuffed with herbs. There was pot was bubbling above a pink fire in the fireplace, that was giving off a stuffy, sickly perfume.

"Welcome," said a soft misty voice from the shadows. "How nice to see you in the physical world at last."

A thin gypsy-looking woman with many golden bangles hanging from her ear and around her neck stepped into the firelight. A purple shawl was draped around her shoulders, and it seemed like it was breathing.

"Sit, my dear, Snowfire." said Madam Mystique, gesturing at a poof across an oval table with clawed legs.

A bit apprehensive, yet impressed, Snowfire sat on his haunches across the lady.

"Now, what can Madam Mystique do for you?"

"I wanna' be a human." said Snowfire immediately. "I'll pay any price! Once I am a man, I will do anything for you."

Madam Mystique's eyes glinted in the firelight. She extended a hand with long red polished nails and many stubby jeweled rings. "I accept." she whispered.

Snowfire hesitated for a moment, but with resolution placed his hoof on her palm.

Bartender Owen Reiner was late, and he knew it. Rushing in the back door, he took a quick glance around the café. It was already alive with patrons and workers, who moved to the rhythm of music coming from what appeared to be a metal man. Seeing no sign of his mysterious employer, he walked behind the counter, grabbed an apron, and began to put it on. As he tied it around his back, he noticed the other bartender working on her own. He walked to stand a few feet to her right, taking orders and waiting for a chance to introduce himself. The place was ridiculously busy considering how recently it had opened.

It must have been very well-known back in the day, he figures.

Zachary, the newest errand boy, walked into the café with his pet, Rufus. "Sit down boy, I won't be long," Zachary said, Rufus then sat down. "And when we get an errand, you know I'm bringing you along," He said, Rufus smiled.

"Hmm didn't know we now allowed pets in here?" Anderson Spoke to the boy as he walked over to the pair, but before the boy could answer his previous question, Anderson quickly changed the subject "Well anyway you're the new errand boy correct? if you are then i might have a job for you"

"Yes, I'm the new errand boy." Zachary said, "Though Rufus is more of a friend than a pet." Rufus looked at Anderson and listened to what he was saying.

Anderson nodded "I want you to get me a specific wire for the mics. I need them to lessen the feedback from my voice it was supposed to arrive before the opening night, but it never did" Anderson grabbed a napkin and wrote down an address to the store that supplied the wire "Here son. without it i can't properly perform, the wire is supposed to be blue with green stripes"

Zachary took the napkin and put it in his pocket, "Blue with Green stripes, got it." He said as he walked to the exit. "C'mere Rufus!" He said, whistling. Rufus bounded to Zachary's side, and they left. They arrived at the address after a while. "Blue with Green stripes," Zachary said as he entered the building.

Sitting on the table that had a group of adventurers discussing a quest to find lost treasure, was a little white-haired girl in a purple dress who kept stealing glances at Quynn and looking up at his scar.

After realising she was late, Senza hurried into the café. It was her own fault, she'll admit, as she'd spent way too long fussing over the plants in her room. She mumbled out an apology as she pushed open the door.

"I-Is there anything I can help with?" She asked, still a little panicked.

The Missing Stallion

A few hours after the news of the missing talking horse, the elven prince who had been sitting alone on his chair worried after his escorts told him to relax while they look for Snowfire suddenly fell forward into his plate of sweet and sour fish, unconscious.

The guests of the cafe near his table gasped in surprise.

"H-he's choking!" pointed a witch, looking at Senza.

"Did he get poisoned?" asked another guest, oggling at the elven prince.

A chill ran through the cafe as people began to spit out their food and panic.

The gunslinger with the mechanical arm poked his head inside. "What's going on?" he asked Owen as people began to stand up and leave without paying. "Is there trouble?"

His mechanical arm whirred, flipped, clinked, and reassembled into a stout shotgun which he hid in his cloak.

Zachary had got the blue wire with Green stripes and saw people exiting the café. When he entered the café he saw the eleven prince, who was choking or something. Zachary casually strolled to the robot who asked him for the wire. "Blue with Green stripes, correct?"

Lilura rushed into the café, breathing heavily from her run. She'd sprinted all the way from home, not wanting to be too late on the reopening of the café. Despite this the place was already heaving when she arrived and she could only guess how busy the other waiters were. She rushed to grab her apron and was tying it around her waist, listening to the conversation at the bar when she heard the shouts from outside.

"Does anyone here know first aid?" She asked the group at the bar quickly.

Everyone seemed to be running late, which Quynn was grateful for - in comparison, he wasn't late at all. He gave a polite "Hello" to the newest bartender who burst in, dreadlocks flailing, but after that the new arrivals were too many. I'll make time later to meet them all.

For now, he would stick to vague descriptions of their exterior as their stand-in names. So the bartender he called "Dreads," and the entertainer "Robot Man." Simple, but effective.

Catching the glance of a girl with white hair sitting off to the side, Quynn readied himself for work. She was obviously interested, and considering his boss was absent, Quynn decided to make his own job description. And she was definitely in that job description.

Alas, before he could casually make his way over, disaster struck. Some elf was choking, and it was scaring the customers. Not good on two fronts. Luckily, Robot Man stepped in to save the day with the classic Heimlich. But people were still looking nervous.

"Nothing to worry about, folks," Quynn called in a loud voice, his smile reassuring. "Just food down the wrong pipe! He'll be fine." He wasn't so sure about that last point, but Robot Man had it under control.

"Well don't just stand there," he added in an under tone to the other employees, who weren't looking too professional at the moment. "You're making people nervous." With a smile, he turned toward the white-haired girl. "The show goes on!"

"The elf will be fine," Quynn said to the girl, who was looking a little worried. "Quynn Zelphar, at your service," he added with a flourish. "Might I ask who I have the pleasure of serving tonight?"

The Missing Stallion

The elven prince woke up with a gasp, his face dripping in fish sauce. He looked at Anderson behind him, "Uhh . . ." Then he looked at his own shoulder down to his hands in disbelief, his jaw dropping lower and lower as though he couldn't believe what he was seeing, although there was nothing wrong with his arms.

"I'm-I'm human. . . Hahaha!" he began to laugh feeling his face, but when he touched his ears his expression fell. He suddenly stood up and turned in place looking at himself all over, then tripped on his own feet.

"Oh, no I'm him . . ." he muttered trying to stand up, but it seemed as though he couldn't walk, or rather, like he didn't know how to.

@billthesomething

"My name is Anna." said the little girl to Quynn, hopping down her chair and curtsying. "May I ask, who is your father and how did you get that scar?" she pointed at his left cheek.

@Musical Dragon

Owen was just about to begin taking orders when he heard the elf prince start coughing. He knew panic would set in fast, so he took a quick look around the room, assessing the situation.

Owen turned to face the flustered cyborg.

"Well, there's certainly no need for weapons just yet," he said. "I'm sure he just choked on some food."

He raised an eyebrow.

"If you don't mind, though, maybe don't have your gun out right now. It might spook our other patrons."

@Zer0

The gunslinger grunted and his shotgun arm clinked and whirred back into a mechanical arm. "In that case, I'll have some firewhisky." he told Owen.

The other guests were relieved that it wasn't poisoning, but they still continued to look oddly at the elven prince. They had never seen a prince act so undignified.

Host Quynn Zelphar

"Anna," Quynn said slowly, rolling the name around his mouth. "A beautiful name." He smiled at her questions. "My father and my scar? Those answers require some time and the story is not too pleasant. Best told over drinks. Might I order you something?" He motioned the nearest waiter over.

"A vodka for me please, and for the lady...?" He paused for Anna's response.
