It is the summer festival in the city of Osgiliath and the grand reopening of The Coffee Pot café. Adventurers and all manner of folk have arrived from sea and sky to join in the festivities and be pampered in the café by the hosts and waiters, or hold secret meetings with its owner.

The soft murmur of talk, the clinking of glasses at the bar, and the sound of music in the main hall was soothing. At a table in a far corner were a group of adventurers of different classes discussing a quest to find lost treasure.

Near the glass doors that led out to the garden lounge were a group of mages accompanying an elven prince with a legendary sword. They were crowd watching and talking about their journey coming here, which involved orcs and a battle with a white wizard.

Outside, a gunslinger with a mechanical arm sipped wine alone in a table. A lovey-dovey couple was admiring the flowers in the garden, and in the back meadows a dragon rider was talking with his gargantuan scarlet drake while the drake was being given a bath by the errand boys.

All in all, a fine busy morning start to the grand re-opening of The Coffee Pot café.

~Mesa The entertaining Siren~

Humming, Mesa walked to the bar. Sitting on the still on top the chair she smiled. Waving at the servers. She knew she had to go up soon. She was glad no one knew what she was yet. She always was afraid of what their ansesters did. Shaking her head. She watched people trickle in and out. She played with her dress as she patiently biding her time flashing her smile at the current entertainer. She nodded at him and swayed a little to the beat. It wasn't bad, but she wasn't really paying attention. SHe watched as Servers ran to and fro. Laughing a little. @billthesomething @Zer0

Taichi "Tai" Kimoto

Taichi let out a sigh as he walked around the cafe. He had gotten up extra early this morning since it was his first day as a waiter, he hadn't came here to earn money or make friends. He had joined because he hoped to gain information on the whereabouts of his father. Taichi could remember how his father had loved cafes and had taken him to a few of them when he was a child. The chances of somebody knowing who his father was were quite slim but Taichi was optimistic and wouldn't give up until he found his father. Taichi let out another sigh as he whipped out his cloth, handmade by him, and began wiping down one of the tables.

Watching everyone smile and enjoy themselves did bring a slight smile to his face as well; despite the fact he only came here for information, he wanted to make a good first impression and try his hardest during work. Taichi hadn't spotted anybody who worked here, but he wanted to meet someone new sometime soon. He really didn't want to be alone for the rest of the day, this was a chance for him to socialise at least. His mother always worked and they never got to spend time with each other, and well, you already know about his father.

Taichi looked up as the music began playing, 'A singing robot, huh? This place is full of surprises.' He thought to himself as a smirk came across his lips.

The heat from the fires and the smell of boiling spice wafted in the kitchen. Fennel, Parsley, Nutmeg, Cardammon, Dandelion, Achelia, Someliun, Erwasa, all these spices mixed together to create an appetizing scent. The kitchen was an array of pots, pans, and trays with food being boiled, steamed, fried, and baked. Steam all came from them and in the middle of all this was a woman who hummed as she cooked and designed the meals with an artist's focus and intensity.

Gen-Gen placed the finishing touches on a salad of greens and chicken, olive oil, parsley, and a finishing salt she procured form an old woman. The flan was a golden color and the caramel had a burned-bitter sweet taste. The potatoes were either mashed, baked, or fried and ready to serve. The juices were a colorful mix of cold sweet beverages of different flavors that were enhanced with herbs to accentuate the taste. The peelings of the vegetables and leftover herbs were used to make soups for those who did not have much money but wanted something to have while they relaxed. The meats themselves were almost finished, and each one of varying cooking time for those with different preferences.

"Now I just need some fish..." She paused. A big fish would be a grand way to celebrate a good day like today. Mix it with black beans and steamed over bamboo, it would be the centerpiece of a meal everyone could partake in. There was one in the market earlier, and she knew there was no one who could afford it. The old lady seemed stubborn though, and she hoped she would remain stubborn. Cooking a five foot fish would be a challenge as well as a joy.

She continued working, waiting for someone to come in to pick up the orders. Surely they wouldn't mind a small change in their job description.

The talk died down and many heads nodded with the beat of the snazzy song. The gunslinger with the mechanized arm came in and asked for a table inside.

Some witches dressed all in black stood up and danced a jig together. This encouraged the onlookers and soon there was a small crowd of dancing people, mostly of the midnight crowd smoothly swinging it in front of the stage.

When the song ended, the dark witches snapped their fingers repeatedly in appreciation, while slick rogues and shady dancers applauded softly.

@billthesomething

The elven prince with the legendary sword waved over Taichi to their table, probably to take another order.

@iChaotic

"You're up, Ms. Mesa." said a very stressed out looking errand boy. "Do you need me to prepare anything for you, ma'am?" he added quickly.

@LilyannaGaming

Smiling she shook her head no. She stood up and shoed the last entertainer off. SHe smiled at the crowd and wlaked to her place. She began singing. Her voice carried powerfully through out the room. Using her Sirens voice she influenced people to be happy and carefree. She smiled as she looked at the ever growing crowd. She kept the beat fast and upbeat as she could.

"Thank you now let's have a proper blast" Anderson spoke once again "Now give a hand to Ms. Mesa a gal who know to swing along to the beat i'll be back to finish of the night" He gave Mesa a thumbs up before he walked off stage "Knock'em dead kid"

Taichi smiled at the Elven prince as he put his cloth back in his trouser pocket. He stood up straight and began walking over to the table. "Hello and welcome to the Coffee Pot Cafe, do you want to order anything?" Taichi said cheerfully as he pulled out a small notepad and pen. @Zer0

This was Taichi's first order and was determined not to mess it up. He couldn't stand it when he or others messed up, everything needed to be perfect. This was one of his many flaws; being a perfectionist. Many people in his past have disliked him for it because it gets on their nerves.

Freya smiled and breathed deeply and smiled. The cafe was filled to the brim with people of all sorts and they were all laughing and having a good time in general. She finished mixing the cocktail for a rather large looking man.

"Here you go sir. Have a great day!" She said cheerfully, handing him the drink. He smiled, got up and left, drink in hand. She clapped at Anderson who had just finished his performance. She grinned at him as he walked off the stage.

"Impressive performance, Mr Anderson!" She said, waving at him.

@billthesomething

The gun slinger with the mechanized arm left for another table outside. Instead it was the young warlocks accompanying the elven prince and the lovey-dovey couple from the garden who took to dancing in front of the stage. The young warlocks created floating wisps of fire that they enchanted to change colors with the pulsing beat. Some guest began doing the same and then the lights of the café dimmed and fancy nebular illusions danced across the ceiling.

Across the room, the elven prince was creating the illusions, to the delight of his escorts.

"Finally, you're getting to the swing of things!" one of them said to him. They asked him to dance, but he refused saying something about having two left feet.

"Impressive?" Anderson let out a chuckle "Kid you haven't seen nothing yet that was merely a warm up" He looked at her "I'll accept that compliment when you have seen me dance along the crowd" he sat down at the bar "So you're the new bartender. Well i can say that the madam know how find such a dolly like you. But i bet you can't do a motor roll like big daddy used to do em and the recipe should be under the counter"

Taichi "Tai" Kimoto

Taichi raised an eyebrow at the fact there was a talking horse outside, but nodded. "Alright, a bucket of Pomegranate and Quinoa salad - served in a fancy bucket. And a bucket of grain mixed with brandy." He repeated to himself as he wrote it down. Closing the notepad he smiled at the prince. "Your order will be here shortly sir." Taichi notified. "I hope you and your companion enjoy your time here." And with that, Taichi proceeded to stroll in the direction of the kitchen. This place was rather big so it would take a little longer than he anticipated to return with the man's order.

After about 15 minutes, Taichi returned to the table holding two buckets. "Here is your order sir, would you like me to carry it out to the meadows or would you prefer it if you do it yourself?" @Zer0

Freya chuckled leaned on the counter. She didn't understand half of what the man had said but was probably a compliment. Probably.

"Why thank you Mr. Anderson. And for the record, I'm 24." She said leaning on the counter.

"Under the counter, huh." Kneeling down and pulling open a drawer, she took out the piece of paper and took a long look at it.

"Oooh. Looks complicated." She shifted her gaze back to the entertainer.

"Care to tell me what it makes?" She asked him raising an eye-brow.

Shaking her head at the end of her preforence she did a small bow and stepped off the stage. She smiled and headed to the bar asking the female tending to it for a water. "That's, a crowd Anderson." She said laughing.

Optional Quest: The Missing Stallion

"Please take it to him, and give him the same courtesy you gave me-he's very particular about being treated like a common horse." said the elf.

@iChaotic , the moment your character reaches the meadows with the order, Taichi finds out that the white horse, Snowfire, is nowhere to be seen. The dragon rider and his scarlet drake tell you that the horse galloped into the city, talking about meeting a friend.

(OOC: All characters are free to join in this quest)

***

Somewhere in the city, Snowfire was wandering around the streets looking for a witch who could turn him human.

"I am never carrying that sassy pretty boy ever again." muttered Snowfire in a baritone voice. "I'm going to be a real human, learn magic, and become a powerful warlock and turn that prince into a chicken." He stopped in front of a run-down looking building in the market place and peered up at a shabby sign that said 'Madam Mystique's Charms and Spells'.

"Hmm." said Snowfire, brightly his ears perking up. He bit the door-knob and tried to turn it, but to no avail. He settled on rapping the door sharply with his hoofs.

"Come in . . ." said a mystical far-off voice and the door opened by itself revealing a dim shop full of gold trinkets, exotic rugs, and drooping silk cloths.

"Cool." said Snowfire, and with a swish of his tail he stepped into the shop.

Taichi "Tai" Kimoto

Taichi scratched his head as he looked around the meadows. "Strange, I swear the man said the horse would be exactly here." He sighed. It was only then a Dragon rider notified that he had seen the horse head towards the city. "Ah man.. The prince won't be happy to hear this." Taichi brushed a hand through his hair. Leaving the two buckets in the meadows, he hurried back to the cafe and searched for the Elven prince. "S-sorry to t-tell you, but y-your horse and escaped and ran o-off to the city." Taichi stammered, he was barely able to form a sentence with how heavy his breathing was. Looking around he spotted two females and the robot talking to each other at the bar. 'Those 3 work here, they could possibly help me with capturing the horse.' He thought to himself.

Pacing over to the group of 3, he spoke up. "Hey, you guys work here right? Well a horse has escaped from the meadows and we need to capture it, would you 3 be willing to help me?"

"A drink lethal to anyone not me. The Big Daddy (Old Man/person) used to make for me when he worked here. It's scotch mixed with motor oil" Anderson let out a hardy laugh at Mesa's statement "Listen Kid don't start getting you're head bloated over a few fans you've only just started working here. And now if you excuse me i need close off the night" Anderson stood up and walked over to the stage

"Here you go, Mesa." Freya said sliding the cup of water across the counter. Anderson explained what the mysterious recipe was and walked back to the stage. She slipped the piece of paper back into it's respective drawer and started preparing another drink for a couple of elves. A man walked up to them and asked them about capturing a horse.

"Sorry, I can't. Drinks to make, customers to tend to, you know." She told him, smiling apologetically.

"I'm sure Mesa can help." She added, glancing at the girl.

@iChaotic @LilyannaGaming

"If I wanted to I could have the entire building, I just hate abusing My powers." She muttered as he walked off.She took her water and smiled. "Thanks...Freya.?" She tried recalling the name. She turned to the boy. "What type a horse regular or different." She asked thinking of places a horse would go. She knew animals where drawn to magical properties. And she just happen to know a place.

Taichi "Tai" Kimoto

"It was, uh, some intelligent talking horse. Well, that's what the Elven prince said." Taichi responded. "Are you willing to help? Because I really have no idea where a horse would go and that city is pretty big." @LilyannaGaming

Great, his first day on the job and already he was doing errand runs to capture a horse. He was a waiter, not an errand boy. Where are the errand boys anyway? Taichi hadn't seen one yet and would be incredibly grateful if one of them appeared out of the blue.

Anderson hand the band a piece of paper. They looked at then back Anderson and nodded, Anderson gave them a thumbs up and walked onto the stage some of the older patron applauded the return of Anderson "Thank you but it's time for the showstopper" The sounds of trumpets began play as Anderson began to sing

"Ready 1-2-3

I´m a Bad Boy"

Anderson jumped off the stage and began dancing among the crowd

"The ballrooms packed with cokey girls

Satin frocks and shining pearls

Click my fingers ladies swoon

The hottest dancer in the room"

The older patrons stood up from the table and joined Anderson on the dance floor, an older gentleman threw a cane to Anderson, who grabbed in mid air and began twirling it fast enough that he briefly began to hover off the ground before touching the ground again and continued his song.

"I’m a bad boy – I need to dance,

if you don’t dance no romance

feel like dancing dance with me

first dance is always free.

I´m a Bad Boy"

Couples began grabbing their shyer partners and swing along with Anderson

"Bebop sliding down my back

never alone when I hit the sack

Swings a thing with a ringa-ding-ding

I get wings when I sing —

Ragtime reason and rhyme,

I’m the reason , you’re divine.

Rhumba mambo latin samba"

When song ended and Anderson had returned to the stage and placing the mic back into the stand "That's it for the entertainment tonight. Come back tomorrow night for more entertainment" And Anderson left the stage with the sound of applauds and clicking of fingers in the background
