Your first thoughts. Red did not look good on her. Your second thought. You were already going to hate this job very much.
You were trained as a guard in the kingdom of Rosemary to protect those in need and your family at home. Your father was a well-known blacksmith and your mom was a dressmaker. You had two younger brothers who admire you and a lovely girlfriend whom you were going to propose to soon. Your life was very nice.
One day a letter came from the queen herself. She said she has chosen you for a personal mission. You will be away for a year at most. It was sad news for everyone to hear you had to leave. In the letter, it did not say what the mission was about. You were to be escorted in the morning to a location where you would meet up with the queen.
It took about a whole day to get to a small mansion. It was nearly dark. The Queen was waiting near the entrance. She said that she'll explain everything in the morning and brought you to your room.
In the morning you were brought to a large hall. On the other side, the queen and a younger lady walked towards you.
Q: This here is my Daughter, Noor. She is not to be told about to anyone who doesn't live here. She blind. Next year her 19th birthday will come. I need you to watch her till that day arrives. I won't be coming back but I will write to see how things are coming. The staff here will teach you how things work here. If you need anything ask them. Now I must be going. She turns towards Noor and hugs her tightly. I'll miss you, my princess. She then moves away and leaves the hallway leaving just you two there.
Noor stands there.
"I'm Noor.. Usually, we have breakfast now.. Will you take me?" She reaches out her hand.
