Fantasy The Academy of the Gifted Ones!

Zombocalypse

Quintessential Badboy
Far far away from civilization laid an isolated island accessible only through a helicopter. In this island was a school, known only as The Academy of the Gifted Ones. It was a relatively large school, enough to house over a thousand students. The place was complete with dorm rooms, a cafeteria, and a workout gym. The atmosphere was relatively friendly if being compared to the hostilities faced by these unusual students in the real world. No. This school accepted the freaks, the special ones. It was built in the mid 1800s as a refuge to people with supernatural abilities. People who didn't understand made these kinds of people feel unwelcome, so the school was built out of necessity.

Right outside the big building stood a man and a few dozen servants. He was tall (6'4) and had a slim frame, with a thick and long mustache usually seen in vintage boxing photos. He had graying hair but had the vitality of a young man. He was healthy. He stood there staring at the helicopters that were arriving in the island. These helicopters contained the newest students.

Welcome to the Academy!

Hunter stepped out of the helicopter once it had landed, keen eyes scanning his immediate surroundings. He'd enjoyed the view from up there, focusing on as many parts of the island as he could before their descent. But now that he saw it closer, he could truly take in the grandeur of the school. With nothing but a small duffel bag, he approached the building, only half certain in his actions. In the near distance he saw a rather tall man- though not taller than himself- and kept his sunglasses-hidden eyes fixed on him out of curiosity. He looked rather important, given his stature and the way he stood out here waiting for them. Hunter simply squared his shoulders, tried to exhume any sort of fake confidence he could muster, and kept striding on.

Ragnar, the tall man, noticed a young tall kid arriving from a helicopter. He immediately approached him.

"Welcome to the Academy of the Gifted Ones," he said. He smiled at him.

Ragnar had worked in this school since time immemorial. He was a vampire and one of the most respected teachers in the school. He wanted to make the kid feel welcome.

"One of my servants will lead you to your dorm room," he said.

((Go ahead and control one of the servants who'll lead you to your room.))

Hunter just gave a small nod, not even making eye contact with the man as he muttered a simple, "Cool," in his deep voice.

He followed the servant at a leisurely pace, tired after all that traveling and being more than happy to finally crash into a bed for the night. He had no clue who his roommate would be, but didn't care too much about that at the moment.

Unfortunately for Hunter, he was probably going to get lost around here as he didn't pay attention to anywhere he was going, only having enough energy to process his train of thoughts and grumble, "Thanks," to the servant before trudging into his room.

Mikhail enjoyed the trip to the academy, never having flown in a helicopter before. Ana, his snake who lied wrapped around his neck like a scarf seemed to have enjoyed the trip too, both of them hissing to eachother about what they liked most about it. He was joyed when they had landed, eager to see the island up close. He stepped off of the helicopter, grabbing a small suitcase from inside with a grand smile. He pulled up the handle so he could steer it easily and looked around a moment before striding forward, his heeled dress shoes clanking lightly against the concrete. His mother had made sure he was dressed appropriately, in her opinion, for his first day - even if the collared shirt and slacks weren't something he wore often.

Ragnar then approached Mikhail.

"Hello, sir," he said. "Welcome to the Academy of the Gifted Ones. One of my servants will assist you to your dorm room. What is your name?"

Ragnar and the servants already knew who Hunter was, as they were notified of his height and hair color (pink). They, however, didn't know who this kid was.

Meanwhile, the servant led Hunter to his dorm room. And then they were there. "Your roommate is Mikhail Ivanov. He has a pet snake."

The room was fairly small, but plenty space for two people. There was a cabinet with padlocks, and the servant gave Hunter two keys: for the padlock and for the room itself.

@Zombocalypse@Ambela

Hunter handled the keys a bit clumsily, muttering another thanks as he set them down on the first flat surface he saw. He was sure he heard something about a snake but didn't care as long as it wasn't poisonous. Even then he only cared a little.

He basically collapsed onto the bed at that point, somehow getting the duffel bag on top of his back. However, he didn't completely fall asleep, wanting to size his roommate up first.

Apologies. My phone died.

"Hello," he said in reply to Rangar, his accent prominent as he did so. "Mikhail Ivanov, nice to meet you." He smiled politely at the servant who greeted him after Rangar introduced him, grabbing his suitcase once more when the servant began leading him to his dorm room. The door was already open when he arrived, and as soon as he made sure he was actually walking into his own dorm and not somebody else's by accident, he poked his head inside. His apparent roommate seemed to be asleep, so he'd make sure to unpack quietly.

((Hey sorry! I was sleeping >: PST, amirte))

Whitley gently slithered down the ramp of the helicopter, which had been deployed especially for her. She had slept the whole way towards the academy, and only now got to take in a full view of it. The way the castle shined in the sunlight caught Whit's eyes the most, and she sighed happily. The cream-colored snake gave a goofy smile, and slithered up to a very tall man. She was glad for the fresh grass beneath her, otherwise her tail would be in a world of pain. She curled her tail around herself and rested her head, staring curiously at the tall man.

Although Ragnar had lived for over a hundred years, he had never, in his life, seen someone as bizarre and unusual as a naga. And thus he was suprised, even shocked at the sight of this woman. However, he kept his awe on hold and approached her.

"Welcome, madam, to the Academy of the Gifted Ones. I believe your name is... Whitley? The naga? My servants here will lead you to your dorm room. You will have a roommate, though I don't know yet who. Make yourself at home."

Ragnar smiled at her then.

Hunter took a moment to glance over his roommate when he heard the distinct sound of footsteps shuffling in, his bored eyes only scanning him quickly. He was far more interested in the awesome-looking snake, but not long enough to keep his full attention. Dropping his head back down onto his pillow, he mustered up the energy to give a small wave. "Ay. Nice snake." He mumbled around the fabric.

Mikhail set his suitcase on his bed, having only unzipped it part way before the other male, his roommate, spoke. He offered a small wave in return, smiling slightly. He did smile more when his snake hissed in his ear, repeating what she said to him. "She says thank you," he said cheerfully, turning back to his bags. He unzipped it fully - he'd figure he'd get some things unpacked to night. He wasn't yet adjusted to the time difference and didn't find himself tired at all. "I didn't wake you, did I?"

@Luxury Hotline

((I'm here now too. Just woke up.))

Never being on any kind of flying vehicle, Melanie was quite excited at the chance to finally ride one. However, once on the island, she looked a bit sick and stood by the helicopter, not trusting herself to walk just yet. Instead, she just floated in place with the help of her telekinesis. She took this time to take in everything around her and breath in the fresh crisp air. The castle in the distance looked lovely and bright, and she had a wonderful feeling she'll love it here. Finally feeling a lot better, she slowly made her way over to the...rather tall man waiting near the entrance, a small shy smile on her lips and her feet still floating a few inches off the ground.

@Ambela

"Nah, if I was really sleeping, then you'd have never been able to wake me up." Hunter spoke before sitting up, trying to show the least bit of manners to this guy. "I'm Hunter, by the way." He gave the slightest of smiles, now looking at his roommate a bit more closely. He was only half sure that he'd mentioned the snake saying thanks, but passed it off as something his tired mind just made up.

(Lusitania´s POV)

"Do we really have to hold this?" An employer asked, looking down at the rubber object on his hand.

"Apperantly we do. We were told to bring this to the academy." The other one replied. His sunglasses reflected the glint of light from the window. "Fortunately we..."

"ARE WE THERE YET?"

The two guards stood, drawing out their guns. The one holding the pacifier even dropped it in an attempt to aim with both hands, causing my entire home to shake like a hurricane just passed by.

Yes. I know how getting hit by a hurricane feels. By experience.

Anywho, the pacifier began shaking, and who else but me popped out of it? Hehe, nobody of course. Only a genie pops out of their lamp, silly! Though it wasn´t quite "a lamp". But close enough.

"Awww!" I complained, rubbing the back of my head. "What was that for? I was told I´d have a comfy flight!"

I crossed my arms and pouted as I turned my back, with both man tilting their heads in silence. They were clearly gasping in my awesomeness, right? Right?

"Who are you?"

I turned back around and I was about to reply, but as I saw the man who dropped me was the one asking, I let out my tong instead.

"Why you..."

"We are Mark and Reynold. May we know your name?"

"Sure Reynold! I´m Lusitania, nice to meet you!" I reached out a hand for him, then showed my tong to the other guy again.

"Is there a problem with Mark?" the security asked.

"He dropped my house! Look at it! It´s probably all furry now!" I pointed at the pacifier, and the two man looked at each other again.

"That´s your house?!" The dumb meanie-head Mark asked me. I nodded. Reynold sighed, picked it up and blew on it.

"There, all new... We should arriving in a couple minutes."

"Thank you!" I picked up my house from his hands, determined to carry it myself for now. I sat on Mark´s seat next, showed him my tong one last time, and  hummed happily for a few moments before coming to a halt. "Are we there yet?"

....

I was really excited to get out of that noisy thing and just flew out giggling, as the two man rubbed their heads, slowly climbing down the helicopter ramp...

There are only a few exceptional people in the world in what they do. The majority of people are only mediocre, but perhaps this was for the best. If everyone excelled, perhaps no one would be considered exceptional. This fact helped Rodney stand out, as he was an exceptional athlete. However, calling him an exceptional athlete was an understatement. At the young age of 18, he could squat 20,000 pounds, bench press 10,000, and could run much faster than a cheetah. This wasn't unusual if only for his race. His father was a raging demon and he inherited his godly strength and speed. Due to his unusual physical prowess, Rodney's mother left him and his father. But he really didn't need her. His father provided him with everything he ever needed.

And now he was accepted to a prestigious school for the gifted ones, The Academy of the Gifted Ones.

Rodney quickly exited out of the helicopter with his duffel bag and was met with a tall man, Ragnar. The two conversed for a bit as a formality, and Ragnar had one of the servants lead him to his dorm room. His roommate would be Whitley Barden, a naga. He received the keys to his closet and for the room itself.

@Nyannno

Meanwhile, Ragnar approached a young woman. She was beautiful. One of prettiest he'd ever seen, and he'd seen a ton of them. He had to know her name.

"Hello, madam. What is your name?"

@Idea

Ragnar spotted a young woman come out of the helicopter. She was really young looking and seemed like a baby. The two guards escorted her out of the helicopter.

Ragnar waved at her. "Over here madam," he shouted.

@Zombocalypse

Staring up at the man that approached her, Melanie lowered her feet to the ground and bowed politely. "My name is Melanie Vogel, sir. It's a pleasure to meet you, and I thank you for accepting me into this school.." she muttered, her voice soft and sweet. Standing next to the man before her made her realize just how short she really was.

I saw a man that reeked of something in the distance waving at me. I first I thought I should just fly away making a face, but when he started talking to someone else, my chest thumped: HOW DARED HE NOT PAY ATTENTION TO ME!!!

I immediately flew in their direction and got between the two of them.

"Meanie!" I complained, stomping my foot. I first turned to the man. "You waved at ME! I wanna talk, I wanna talk!"

I turned to the girl next.

"Don´t take my stuff!"

"Mm, nice to meet you, Hunter. My name is Mikhail and this," he pointed to the snake on his shoulders with his index finger, "is Anastasia." She always got mad at him when she wasn't introduced as well. He finished unzipping the bags, setting aside a more comfortable pair of clothes to replace the casual ones he was wearing now, setting Ana on the bed after that. It wasn't long before he had his bag emptied into the drawers beside his bed.
