Fantasy Tabletop Rollplay

So I have a System, and a world and a few things that are going on in it now it comes down to looking for players, but I cannot advertise the game over here unless I'm mistaken, but besides that how many of you people tabletop rollplay over here? I have been doing it for over eight years now and its fun seeing all the crazy stuff you can pull off in some of them and seeing great rollplay, but for me lately I have been getting tired of game's like Pathfinder, D&D, and the like because it feels like you get overpowered or you overpower the game and steam roll it and yes I understand that the Gm has the power to turn it around, but he shouldn't have to, But that is just me. Recently I have been trying to start up a game of Hackmaster because I wanted to try something different and what not maybe something that doesn't hold hands, but finding people for your game can be hard, That or I have bad luck.

So I have, been looking around forums and seeing interest in it, maybe even finding players, but it could be worse.

Also if you wanted to see the map, here it be.<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2014_09/541445df43a06b5d.png.86ddf1b351a4a09fca309fb226202428.png" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="30275" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2014_09/541445df43a06b5d.png.86ddf1b351a4a09fca309fb226202428.png" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

You can advertise the game if you plan on playing here.

There are many tabletop roleplayers here on RpNation. My self being one of them, currently running a DnD5 game :) .

What software did you use to make that map? I'm impressed.

Oh it's here they have a bunch of stuff http://donjon.bin.sh/fantasy/world/

Well honestly How does a person run a game here beside the obvious stuff like Text instead of speech and whatnot, Combat in hackmaster is done by the tick and everyone moves and does thing's at the same time I would probably need a grid of some sort

I do agree on being tired of games where you can easily steamroll it. I've gotten majorly burnt out on Pathfinder.

DnD5 seems to be trying and so far its been refreshing but then again it hasn't even been around 3 months.

Never heard of Hackmaster though.

Well you can play post by post, we have dice and the such to help with all of that. You can also use Teamspeak and other virtualtable top programs to RP in real time.

Well hackmaster is a hell of a lot harder to stay alive in combat So say for example I hit you with a maul and it some how hit's you and I roll a d8 and a d12 for damage Now say by some sheer luck I roll max on both dice, I roll them again and add the results to the first set -1 for each dice rolled so.

12+8=20+4+7-2=29

That's what I just hit you with, without mod's and stuff like that.

And it's a % based skill system Say I have a 25% chance to light a fire, I have dried tinder and flint and my machete So now it's like a 79% instead because of the stuff I have on hand make's it a simple check, Instead say It's raining I can't find my sword Its dark and the wood is damp it's like a 13%.

If you want more info ill be making the rp soon in the recruitment section

Interesting!

I'm surprised I haven't heard of it before. Looking forward to seeing your interest check. I recommend you put as much information about the setting you want to run and stuff as possible so you get people interested.

Well this is 5th edition and it was made back in the day to make fun of 2nd ed D&D and as a result made thing's like "Dwarf throwing proficiency" and "badly timed joke skill"(This is from what i have heard so Don't quote me on that) it also happens to be a low magic world meaning magic items are vary hard to come by for example a prince might have a +2 blade, well then off to the post then.

Also there it is, if you wish to join.

Always good to see more table-toppers on site. Hackmaster sounds a bit too old-school for my liking, but good luck getting it going.

It still sounds like something ten years older. That's not necessarily a bad thing.

oh... Well unfortunately I have like no player's so I wont ask to waste you're time it was after all a shot in the dark
