Madison slowly opened one eye. The light was blinding as it shown through a small opening in the shades. It was nice seeing the sun finally come up after days of rain. Slowly she sat up and rubbed her eyes. Today is the first day in her new school since leaving her life behind. It was a dramatic move, but with the new scenery and people, she's finally able to breathe again. After looking at the clock she knew she needed to hurry. The last thing she wanted was to make a bad impression by walking into class late, or worse, be noticed.

Madison swiftly got her things together. Before leaving she glanced in the cracked mirror, ran her fingers through her dark hair and smiled. The door creeked as she opened it. She was only able to afford this move by selecting a small house off campus... "I'll fix that later" she lied to herself before closing the door behind her.
Immediately she wrapped her gray sweater around herself while competing with the wind. Fortunately, the walk to the academy wasn't that bad. She passed under many trees that helped block the bite of the cool air on her face. Before she knew it Madison came across the large stone doors. After a deep breath she walked in.

The beauty on the inside was unexplainable. Madison couldn't help but take a minute to look around main lobby. There were a few people walking around looking at a paper in thier hands. 'Where did they find the map?'She questioned to herself. It only took moments of panic before she came across the front desk. There they were, labeled all, Alisters's Academy Map. With the map in hand her confidence increased greatly. '105.... Class 1...0...5' repeating in her head. Madison could hear the echos coming from the sound of her shoes on the stone as she gracefully neared the of hallway. She looked at a sign beside a large door. 105. There it is. Madison closes her eyes and smiled before walking into the class room.

There were quite a few people sitting already. Each at a individual desk. Quietly she took her seat in the back right corner, trying to make as little noise as possible. The room was eerie quiet, almost like making a sound is a crime. The time showed it was still 10 til the start of class. Madison grabber her book and began reading. As long as she stayed focused she knew. She knew she would be able to get through this year all on her own. To finally be doing something good for herself and no one else.

After what seems like an decade, the teacher walked up to the front of the class.
