-TUNE-

dblsd89-0f23301e-6d64-4867-ae8b-22bf02e5c871.jpg

Tune is an old city, a city steeped in dark magic and lies; deceit and betrayal run this metropolis along with the more corporeal occasional cult and the demon-sponsored gang. With a size beating almost all others, Tune is one of the largest cities on the planet covering thousands of kilometers with towers stretching far up into the clouds.
The city thrummed with its usual hectic energy, chaotic and busy with an undertone of fearful awe. The yellow glow of the countless lights lit up the city and the sky respectively. Tune never slept and it was doubted it ever truly would, similar to many of its more obscure inhabitants. Countless peoples and species raced around and interacted in the bright streets: wendigos, poltergeists and lizard people to name a small few.

Looking over the city, a man in a black mask smirked, glancing down at the streets laying so far beneath him, the small pathways bustling with barely contained energy. Staring for the last time at the shining white moon overhead, he took a step out into the air and was gone.

The tunnel was humming, not the thrum of factory machinery or a passing train, it was not the sound of a crowd making its way through the streets. It was the sound of a mother. She loved her children so dearly, despite their uncounted number, she loved every one of them with all of her being. She would do anything for them.

Gasping with annoyance, the sandy-haired man pulled his face away from the corpse for a second to glare at his shut door. Satisfied none of the other apartment's inhabitants were going to make an entrance, he unhinged his jaw and dug in, picking the arm clean in seconds. Zabaco was glad he'd come to Tune.

Paranormania is not an old company at all, in fact, it's basically a newborn. All those working at the company save for a few hunters, janitors and higher-ups are brand new to the business of hunting. Job letters from all around the nation have been flooding in as Paranormania has strong backers and a good advertising base.

CALLO

Callo stood in the middle of the street, police tape surrounding the area and blocking off traffic. There were few bystanders and few police on the scene. There had been a lot of crime in the neighborhood as of late and so Paranormania had been called in to help out. Callo put a cigarette up to his lips and whipped out a lighter, flicking it several times before managing to get a light. He breathed in deep from the cigarette, the flame hungrily consuming the tobacco. Then the lighter went out in the wind. Thankfully the cig was already lit, so Callo continued to puff undisturbed. It was an overcast and windy day, only adding to the gloom of the crime scene. There were three bodies, all sprawled on the ground in open view of the houses on either side of the street. There had most certainly been witnesses. But Callo doubted they'd come forth with info first. Callo wasn't a particularly huge fan of this part of the job, but it had to be done. They would go door to door in pairs, talking with as many of the residents as possible, hopefully getting an idea of what had happened to the three bodies in the street.

Callo glanced at the corpses and shivered underneath his trenchcoat. It wasn't particularly grisly compared to past cases but it was still bad. Each had had their faces ripped off and their throats cut. From the way the bodies laid on their stomachs, Callo assumed they'd been cut down from behind. Each had been found next to the other all facing the concrete in the direction of the north, down the street. Perhaps they had been running from something? Whatever the case, now the killer would be the one on the run. Paranormania was on a roll, a good starting month kicking off the company’s conception. Taking in case after case, completing each effectively in succession, they were already considered a reliable hunting service. Hopefully this case would go as smoothly as the others.

Callo had been the first of the company to arrive on the scene, along with Ko Wellingham. Ko was a strange sort, a grey humanoid of unknown species. He had sharp teeth and white eyes, eyes that glowed a fiery red when he was angry. Ko was dressed in a bomber jacket with normal slacks on and was puffing on his own, nearly finished cig. The grey man finished off his cigarette and tossed the butt away from the crime scene. He grimaced as he approached Callo, looking at the bodies with poorly-disguised pity. Ko wasn't as used to death as others in the company were, but he was good in a fight and hadn't thrown up at a scene yet. As he approached Callo turned towards him, lowering his half finished cigarette for a moment. “Any ideas Callo?” He asked. Callo replied with a cold tone “Nothing really. I think they were running from something before it got them, it wasn't a surprise to these men they were gonna die. Pisses me off that the faces are gone. We need to ID these corpses soon.” Callo finished his cigarette and placed it in a trash can, turning away from Ko as he mulled over the possibilities. There weren't any active killers he knew of in the area, the mutilation threw gang warfare out the window, and the missing faces meant they knew they were gonna cause a scene.

“Where are the others Ko? We need to start this investigation properly.”

KO WELLINGTON
Ko woke with a start, eyes wide and sweat pooling underneath him. The same nightmare he’d had since the week had begun. It made him quite nervous, he wasn't getting the sleep he needed. Ko got out of his bed and walked over into the little kitchen Paranormania provided for the ones staying at the office. Ko turned on the light and sat down in the kitchen chair for a moment, rubbing his eyes and his brow to get the sweat off and out of him. The light of the room was dim and Ko was grateful he could see most everything in the suite. Nothing was out of view, no room for paranoia in his mind when he could see everything. He got up and walked to the fridge, pouring himself a glass of ice cold water before returning to his bed. He took a deep gulp of the cold liquid and laid down trying not to think of what had woken him. He still had 3 hours before he needed to get to the crime scene.

Ko had dreamt the usual dream, the same nightmare. He is walking down a road, when he comes across a tunnel. The tunnel is foreboding, dark and empty and Ko knows all these things for a fact when he sees it. But despite the assured knowledge of reality, that nothing is going to come out of the shadows and devour you, Ko was afraid. The tunnel scared him like few things ever had. And then suddenly the tunnel engulfs him, like the gigantic maw of a predator closing over its prey. And Ko is lost in darkness, nothing around him but the black of the tunnel. He begins walking further into the tunnel, no control over his legs. Ko begins to hear whispers and groaning coming from above him. He looks into the black and there is still nothing. He turns in the direction he came and there is nothing and as he continues to walk, he glances over his shoulder hoping for something. But there is nothing behind him, nothing in front, and all is darkness. Then the whispering gets louder and a light appears in front of Ko, moving quickly towards the grey man like a speeding train. The whispers and moaning grows louder as the light approaches, and all Ko can do is stand there, until the light overwhelms him and he is drowned in the pale white of it.

Ko didn't sleep for the 3 hours he had left, instead deciding after an hour and a half that he'd had enough of the tossing and turning. Dressing himself up in his work clothes along with his big cloak, the man exits his place and heads to the administrative section of the large office building. Ko sees no one on his way to the mission briefing, save Callo, who often stays at the office overnight for work. Callo is already in the briefing room, reading up on the documents they had been sent the day earlier, requesting assistance in a new sector. Callo looked up from the paperwork as Ko entered and the larger man smiled slightly at the sight of him. “At it early I see Ko, good job. We’ve already received a new case, triple homicide, we’ll be leaving in 20 minutes, the rest will have to find their own way or take one of the company cars.” Then the two of them had gone over details surrounding the neighborhood and the local police, finding out as much as they could to help the investigation go over smoothly. The area they were headed this morning wasnt a particularly safe place, but this didn't really matter to Paranormania Hunters. They brought their weapons everywhere.
Ko and Callo arrived on the scene about 40 minutes after Ko entered the briefing room. 20 minutes of study and a 20 minute drive to not even the outskirts of the city. Tune was truly a behemoth of a metropolis. They went in Callo’s car, a slick black sports car with obvious enhancements and alterations all over. The tinted windows were the most obvious offender. They sped down the highway and were in the neighborhood fairly quickly. They arrived at the scene, police officers and pedestrians gathered around. Callo talked with the officers while Ko assisted in moving the bystanders away from the scene with the help of the local police. They had been there about an hour, 9 AM when Callo began to wonder where everyone was. They needed to start talking to the potential witnesses of the street and more people were needed for this job. The two hunters simply smoked and waited for the next ten minutes then.Callo received a call from Ulric that he would be there in the next 15 minutes and Callo grunted acknowledgement before hanging up. That was one nice thing about the Daemon, he kept his employer notified. Callo and Ko weren't really friends yet, but Ko and Ulric had hit it off fairly easily. Ko considered Ulric his first friend at the organization. Back to Callo and Ko however, Callo seemed to keep kost people at arms length, whereas Ko was fine with the occasional hug or two. Callo was just cold, all about the job and too focused to think of anything else.

Callo himself wasn't even that focused on the job, he was angry that he hadn't managed to find anything relating to his wife since coming to Paranormania. He had hoped the company might be a good step in a right direction towards finding revenge. But he knew he needed patience. He hadn't been there for his wife, but there were still others he could help in the present, and he knew that's what she would have wanted. Back to Ko however, the grey man had no relatives to care about, and most certainly not a wife. He had friends and he had had lovers in his past, but currently Ko was trying to get invested in his work. Making friends at the company had proven a strange difficulty. Not necessarily due to Ko but just the strangeness of all of them in general.

While the two discussed the gritty details of the crime scene, a dark luxury car rolled up to the scene. The windows were tinted black, making it impossible to see who was inside until the door swung open. A woman stepped out, silently surveying the carnage, her gaze ice laced in disgust. She was tall and thinner than most, though built like the reed rather than the crane; all lithe and iron roots.

She closed the door behind her, and with a single motion from her hand, the car took off. Her heels clicked on the pavement, growing steadily with each step she made towards the others. In the neon-glow of city lights, her coat almost shimmered like gossamer. On it's back was the Yomawari symbol.

"Indeed, where are the others?" The rim of her hat rested just above the crisp blue of her gaze, now staring directly at Callo. Ko was glanced at once, and only once. Her tone was dry and slightly patronizing, "Paranormania, the promising young group of hunters in Tune. Charming. We can only hope this one lasts longer than its predecessors."

"At the very least you two seem to acknowledge the vitality of an early start, though the same cannot be said of your comrades. I suppose we cannot blame them, most of them are greener than spring grass."
she gave a small sigh and rested a hand on the hilt of her bade, "In case either of you did not receive word, the Yomawari have taken interest in this investigation. I will be assisting you until further notice."

She regarded them both, but seemed to ignore Ko or otherwise give him a sour look, "You may call me Ai"

Ai took a step past the two, seeming to be uninterested in their own names. Or perhaps she already knew. She knelt in front of one of the corpses, a woman, and regarded her silently for a moment, the Evil Eye active beneath her hair. The state of the bodies did not seem to disturb her. instead, she only felt a deep disgust towards whatever did this, and the longing to cut it to pieces.

Amelia
Interactions: Juju Juju Snackofthefuture Snackofthefuture

Amelia walked with practiced graced through the massive crowd of civilians and journalists that tried to get a picture of the crime scene. It was an unfortunate incident apparently, but one that was all too common in a city such as Tune. Perhaps it was why she had taken the slower route around the area, as a means of surveying the perimeter of the scene as a means of preliminary scouting. Clearly her co-workers would already be there in the first place, as she had requested to be the main receptionist and caretaker of Paranormania rather than a full fledged hunter. Still, to be sent down here and assist would only mean that members expect it to be incredibly dangerous. A butler must do their job properly and with grace, as to ease the burden of others, even if it meant having to perform tasks normally meant for the dedicated members of the company.

"Apologies for my late arrival, Mr. Callo, Sir Wellington," she nodded to both men. "I'd not expect to be deployed for a case today, as I had been prepping some tea for the other members, however, it seems not many assigned for this case have arrived yet."

The butler had begun precautions and her notepad when she noticed the woman closer to the scene of the crime. The Yomawari? How strange. Normally the old guild rarely cared for cases outside of their territory so this was certainly a surprise to see. But to make good impressions was nothing short of important. While not having outward acknowledgement of each other's existence, it would be beneficial for Paranormania to forge a good relationship with the Yomawari, if only to continue having amicable relationships.

She approached carefully and gracefully so as not to come off as forward, but simply as means of greeting and acknowledgement. Amelia gave a bow with her hand over her chest.

"Pleased to make your acquaintance young miss of the Yomawari. While your presence was unexpected, it is a welcome addition to our team. I am Amelia Visara, butler and hunter of Paranormania. Should you have any questions regarding our actions or wish for additional information, please do not hesitate to ask me or my colleagues." It was curt, respectful, and straight to the point. She managed to get her message across and can still quickly begin questioning of witnesses without too much trouble.

A long arm reaches from behind Ko before black-gloved fingers pinching the embers of a discarded cigarette deposit the item into his pocket, and if on que a sudden breeze caused the sound of leathers being whip around to enter the air and the form Jane to be noticed. Seemingly appearing from nowhere, a tall woman in black and a wide-brimmed hat atop her head she slowly peers around the area silently behind the stark white mask that has been set into a passive yet eery smile.

Her free hand gestures to the positions of the blood spray and several droplets leading off in a direction before stepping and placing a hand on one of the mouths to part the jaw slowly, taking note of the resistance before running a finger along and looking to the teeth themselves. Going to look towards the neck wounds and cuts then the hands, she seemed to use a different finger each time before raising them to her face, the process is repeated upon each without a word before finally rising up to her full height once more and looking blankly to the four gathered.

With: Juju Juju Pseudo-nim Pseudo-nim PlusUltra PlusUltra Snackofthefuture Snackofthefuture

Another figure kept to the shadows nearby, black hood up but eyes still ever faintly glowing like stars. It was best Echo not get too close, before people start whispering "Phantom" and accusing her of killing these citizens. The very thought! Why were their faces cut off? It was inefficient. If she were the culprit there would simply be a wound in their chest, blood seeping into their clothes, and their faces still intact. Granted, the faces being cut off is what kept her there. It was a confusing matter, after all.

The people surrounding them seemed to think so too. So many of them, and not one of them were clearing up the bodies (that was another thing the killer should've done! Who wants so much attention unless they actually sought the repercussions?). Those people just kept talking to each other, looking at the bodies from a distance. With her training and the small world she was brought up in, this didn't make any sense.

Why didn't her colleagues do anything either? They just stared at the bodies in confusion, giving each other names and introductions while - was one of them harvesting body parts? This boggled Echo's mind further. She wasn't even sure why she was supposed to be on sight when there was no person needing to be slain. Still she stood by, waiting for one of them to notice her and final give her some clarifications.

ULRIC SOTH

Ulric had been having a fairly good morning. He’d woken up early at 6 AM to be precise and had gone for a run in the darkness of the new morning. After returning from his jog, he fixed up himself an omelet and enjoyed it in peace, despite not having to eat he found it delicious. After finishing his omelet, the daemon prepared some coffee and got dressed to go to work. He fixed his hair, shaved quickly and through on an overcoat. Then after donning his face mask the daemon left his high end apartment to get on the way to his work. He hopped in his jeep and drove the easy 10 minutes to his work, passing through a nice part of Tune as he did so, admiring the fancy luxury apartments and homes that went by. He arrived at work around 7:40 and stuck around the office for a time, doing paperwork and finishing up a report on a past case. After this he left for a bakery about a 5 minute walk from the office building. After enjoying several donuts he returned at 8:10 and decided after receiving an update from Callo on their next mission, that he would head to the crime scene.

As Ulric got in his jeep he noticed that a woman was staring at him from an alleyway across the street from Paranormania. He raised an eyebrow and poked his head out the window to stare back at her. She continued to stare at him and he found she looked strange, with saggy skin and a height that unnerved the hunter. She stared back at Ulric as if she didn't even know he was looking directly at her. His face twisted into a grin as he recognized who it was. This was the shapeshifter Tim. He wasn't very good at shapeshifting from what Ulric knew of him. Of course maybe the shapeshifter just wanted Ulric to think that way. Due to their very nature and powerful abilities, shapeshifters were often involved in criminal activities, making them targets to the Hunters of Tune. He got out of his car and began to walk towards the shapeshifter. The face changer only began to recognize that Ulric was on the way when he was already across the street. Ulric walked up to Tim and realized the shapeshifter was high as a kite. The saggy skin of the woman seemed to grow even saggier the moment Tim recognized that Ulric was on his way, and he turned about to run away when Ulric used his smoke form to disappear from sight reappearing moments later behind Tim.

Ulric waved and said “Well, hello there Tim!” Before socking him in the jaw with a loud crunch. The face changer, unaware the blow was coming, crumpled under the blow, suddenly shrinking and falling over onto his back. Tim’s face was caught in between transformations and as his real face emerged from the flesh the other woman’s face seemed to howl in gony as it stretched back around his head. Tim was actually bald, and also male, and also short. How Shapeshifters changed so effectively, Ulric had no idea. He extended a hand to the groaning, high face changer and Tim took the arm with a grunt. Ulric slapped him on the back and held Tim close before grabbing him by the front of the shirt and pushing him against the alley wall. “So Tim, wheres my fucking money? It's been about, what? Six weeks since I last saw you? I was supposed to get my cut after the first week. If you don't have the cash I swear to god…”

Tim was visibly shaken up and started stammering as the smiling Daemon held him up against the wall. “Look Ulric, I've got the money, I've got the money I swear, but that's not what I'm here about. There's something more important than that I've gotta tell you.” Ulric smiled and flicked out a switchblade, holding it up to Tim’s face. “I'm not actually gonna use this knife Tim, i'm just holding it up to scare you. Give me the money first and then we can talk about the more important things.” Ulric dropped Tim and backed a step away as Tim gathered himself and dug into his long coat’s pockets. His hands reemerged with three different envelopes, and he tossed them at Ulric who caught them all easily. Ulric put away the knife and said, “You’re high huh? I thought you were sober from now on?” Tim adjusted his coat and pulled out a cigarette. “Things have changed Ulric, I saw something I wasn't supposed to and I reckon I ain't got much time left. Might as well live it up right?” Ulric cocked his eyebrow at this statement and said, “Aww c'mon Tim, don't be like that, I'm sure things will be okay. What did you see anyways?” Tim looked at the ground for several moments, considering his next words. “I can't tell you Ulric, or you’d be in the same danger. But theres one thing that might help keep you out of this.” Ulric had a concerned expression on his face now, he may have acted tough with his contacts but he did care about each of them, and he had done plenty to show that care in the past towards Tim. Tim continued, “Dont follow up on this investigation Ulric, bad shit is going down in Tune and the thing you’re being called up for right now is just the beginning.”

Ulric put his hands in his pockets and looked at Tim. ”That's it? That's all you're gonna give me Tim? Cmon, you know I'm not gonna just up and quit my job.” Tim interjected saying, “That's not what I'm suggesting… Just let it blow over, don't go after it seriously, let it fade into the background, or else you guys will regret it. I'm leaving town because of it, you might see me again, probably not though. I can't give you anymore, I Have to leave now.” Ulric blocked Tim’s way and said “C'mon Tim, anything else? There's gotta be a little more you can give me.” Tim stopped trying to shove past Ulric and looked at the Daemon in the eyes for a moment, before saying, “Don't trust the blood drinkers. That's it, now let me go.” Tim shoved Ulric aside and walked out into the street and off down the road. Soon Tim was out of sight, having rounded a corner, and Ulric was alone in the alleyway. He was about to turn to go back to his car when he heard a sound behind him. It was a rustling, clattering sound, and Ulric turned and squinted into the darkness of the alleyway for a moment. There was garbage piled high on all sides and Ulric couldn't catch a good view of anything. There wasn't any further movement as he stared down the alleyway. But Ulric couldn't shake the feeling something had just been there. Watching them, listening.

Ulric got back in his car and drove off to the crime scene, no hesitation whatsoever. He wouldn't let some lame warning keep him off the case. Ulric had fought evil for centuries, he wasn't about to let some modern upstart threat send him packing. He arrived at the scene, not late but still following after several other hunters. Callo was there, his usual cold and professional self. The former freelance hunter left a bad taste in Ulric’s mouth. It was mostly his eyes however, that set Ulric on edge around Callo. They were the sorta eyes that spite easily found a home in, the kind that obsessed and hungered and devoured everything in their path. Callo was a good leader at the least however, and Ulric respected him.

Ko was a different story however, Ko was a great guy, a real stand up hero kind. Ulric and the grey-skinned man got along very well. They had even gone to karaoke a couple times since meeting. Considering theyd only known each other a month the progress in their friendship was definitely something. They'd already introduced each other to their friend groups and often stuck around each other in the office. They had chemistry only best friends could achieve. With time however, Ulric was sure Ko would become a great friend.

Then he saw the newcomer. Yomawari symbol emblazoned on her back. “A Yomawari! Here? Why?” he thought to himself as he exited his vehicle and approached the rest of the group. He almost smiled as he thought of all the pain having one of the snobby hunters on their side would bring. Yomawaris cared only for their own, that was one thing Ulric knew for certain about the demon hunters. They weren't good people from what he knew, killing innocent Daemons like dogs and treating all others with skepticism and arrogant amusement. Ulric already didn't like her, but he wouldn't let it show. He approached the group and Callo nodded at him saying, “Inspector Soth, good to have you here. This is Ai Yomawari, a representative who will be assisting with this case, as well as others if the need arises.” Ulric bowed deeply, removing his face mask so she could get a full look at him and at the scar running over his fanged mouth. “A Yomawari? What a pleasant surprise! Welcome Ai, it is truly such a pleasure to have you here. I am Inspector Ulric Soth, good to meet you.”

There were others at the scene of the crime as well, including the butler Amelia, Jane and Echo. Amelia was an interesting sort, having become the Paranormania official butler. It was weird to Ulric because he had no idea if that made her a subordinate or if she was still on the same rank as the rest of them. She was a delight to have around at the least, being kind and courteous to a degree Ulric saw very rarely. Jane was a zombie of some sort, with few memories of her origins and not much inclination to share those memories. Jane was a mystery the crew at Paranormania were still trying to figure out. Same went for Echo. She looked like an elf, or a wraith of some sort and seemed to perceive the world as out to get her. Ulric had had very little luck in getting any personal history out of her.

Adol Rowan

Walking down along a street with a bag of snacks in hand Adol begins to see the small crowd of people around the crime scene. Having done a security job a little bit before accepting to come to help out here. After getting an alright grasp of the city. Well, at least he believes he does. Stopping to take a look at it from a distance he decided to try to blend into the crowd. Looking around to see if anyone stands out from the average interested bystanders.Thinking this an odd place for this type of crime. Were there more than one suspect? Getting people lined up like that wouldn't be easy.

Taking an iced coffee out from his bag he opens it up and starts drinking it. But Adol was impressed to see Paranormania was called in for this. He guessed that's why they were the up and coming hunters group. Seeing most of his other coworkers already on the scene. Adol figured he would stand back for a while. Just giving them a friendly wave not minding if they wouldn't acknowledge him too much. But he thought it would be rude not to offer a snack or two. Before he continued to just roam the crowd.

"Hey sorry I'm late but I bought snacks would anyone like a snack or drink." Holding out the bag.

DON REDFIELD

It was 8:45am, the bedroom where Don resides had one bed, mirror and snow white walls. Empty mostly, with a small collection of books on a shelf that remained close to the door. Still wearing an entire biker suit even while asleep he'd wake up, an alien language speaking to him. It was Lohrn, he was quick to make out the words the monster was speaking.. “Wake up, thought you worked today" Don stood up, shaking his head around still trying to open his eyes, as always he never got enough sleep to feel well rested. “Work ?” Thought Don as he walked to the bathroom, locking the door as he turned on the shower. The only place where he could take off his suit, revealing a half human half monster body he enters the hot water, deep breaths as the rider takes a silent shower. Soon enough the water stopped and Don walked out of the bathroom, biker suit back on.

Leaving the bedroom there wasn’t anyone he could see, did they leave early or was he late ?.. he wasn’t sure, he'd walk to the kitchen, seeing breakfast was prepared. There was a suspicion that Amelia was the one to do such thing, she was a kind of butler, hunter, among other things. Yet his body shared the DNA with a monster who didn’t need to eat so Don stared at the breakfast for a couple minutes before walking to the computer where a message from Callo was the first thing to pop up, there was information about a murder, location and the agents that were called. Of course Don was a part of the group. “That means I will be controlling from now on” the monster said, both arms on his hips the rider sighed “No. It's an investigation” he exchanged telepathic messages between himself and his monster friend.

Going to the garage he looked for his motorcycle, still parked on the same place. Grabbing the keys from his pocket it was time to go work, turning it on the sounds of the engine started kicking in, with Don riding towards the location. Speeding up to catch up with his fellow teammates the wind strikes against his body as he drives down the neon light streets. It was a city of lights, with questionable people and tons of crimes happening everywhere, he was only glad the Paranormania corporation started dealing with those sick criminals. Finally after 20 minutes of driving he started seeing the commotion, his partners already there. Parking his motorcycle on the other side of the street he adjusted his jacket and helmet properly. He'd analyze the group, seeing that there was someone there who he wasn’t very to seeing, The Yomawari symbol catching his attention, “It's more help" he thought as he crossed the street, a simple wave to say hi to his teammates. He didn’t think much of anything, walking closer to the scene he asked “Any leads ?” to no one in particular.

CHANDRA ORWELL

Chandra lived in a highrise apartment, high above the rest of the city, a penthouse many would kill just to live in. She was a wealthy and powerful woman, powerful in more ways than one. She had clawed her way up to this position, overtaking near all who dared to challenge her. And now here she stood, overlooking the massive city of Tune. She had woken up early as usual, and now in her bedtime gown she sipped a cup of coffee on the balcony. She had already finished all the paperwork she had needed to finish and the new case that had been dropped on Paranormania that morning was already being attended to. She planned on being there for the new case, but she was still relaxed and glad for her subordinates. She smiled and relaxed her posture for a moment. Then a chill from the height sent her fast walking back into the warm penthouse. She paused for a moment by the sliding glass door, looking out over the glowing city of Tune. It was a jungle out there, she need not forget that, not that she was likely to anyways; Chandra had a good memory.

The boss of Paranormania then began to prepare for her day of work, slippin into her usual outfit and gear, preparing a complex and tasty breakfast of exactly one banana. She hurried to the elevator, nearly missing the doors as she fumbled with her phone, sending message after message out to those figures important to her work and the company. Chandra had one helluva day lined up for her, and she wouldn't have it any other way. The elevator took her down to the basement where Chandra found her car, red and sleek in design waiting. She was on her way to the office in moments, bypassing traffic with practiced ease in her slick red sports car. Chandra arrived at the office and only Callo was there, working on an old case dropped by the nearby police precinct. He was a dutiful and efficient man, who worked like no one else in the building did. She respected the man immensely, as he had a successful target acquisition rate of over 95%. Incredibly rare for a normal human. He had in recent years, become rather famous as a hunter seeking out the murderer of his wife. Others sought to help him and he had contacts and safehouses throughout the country, all working towards the slow and arduous task of finding his wife’s killer. The one who had killed her had killed many others however, which might have accounted for the large number of folks who wanted to help Callo. Even Chandra had been one to fall for this, granting access to all the company’s records and assets in his search.

She regretted it slightly now, granting all that power to Callo. He was more than just a head inspector at this point, more like a second in command in fact. He was reliable and Chandra was fairly sure she could trust him but she had been hoping to use the records and assets of the company as motivators for the former freelance operative. But what was done was done now and as she thought of her blunder she sighed. She entered her office and sat in the chair behind her desk for a moment before opening up several tabs on her desktop and getting to work. After finishing a significant amount of paperwork in a significant amount of time, she went to the company break room and made herself some coffee again. She loved coffee, the brown gold was something she simply couldn't live without. As she sipped her newly acquired beverage, she headed back to her office nodding at Callo on the way over. Callo and Ulric headed to the scene before her, leaving the office to herself for several moments, before deciding that she needed to get to the scene. The Yomawaris had sent a request to work with Paranormania on the new case and this only caused Chandra distress. Obviously the job would be a lot more complicated with inter-company politics, but if The Yomawaris were here, it meant the case was more than it seemed.

Chandra left the office and approached her car, noting Ulric and Callo were already gone. Chandra immediately headed straight towards the scene of the crime. By the time she arrived it looked like the Yomawari representative was here, along with most of the company team. It wasn't often all of them were called in for a case. Oftentimes each member was granted an area to patrol along with files for hunts. Employees were expected to patrol and finish hunts in congruence, not allowing either to fall behind in accomplishments. Chandra arrived at the scene, a normal looking neighborhood for the most part, with moderate amounts of crime. It was overcast with not a hint of the sun poking through. Chandra stepped out of her car, parked in front of one of the houses lining both sides of the street. She walked over to the group, bypassing the police tape with practiced ease, her heels clicking on the ground with each step, until she was with the group. Callo and Ko turned to her and nodded, Callo looking back at the corpse for a moment before saying, “Lotta potential here.”

Chandra said, “Examine the body, get ambulances here and make sure they arrive after we’re finished with the corpses. Get your people into pairs and have them ask around. The police will keep the area sectioned off and analyze the corpses. Look around and see if you can find any more evidence of what went on here.” There were only a couple people missing so far, but thankfully none of them were late. Chandra turned her attention to the people that were there. Callo, Ko, Ulric, this Yomawari, Don, Echo, Jane, Amelia. They were all on time and that made Chandra happy.

Callo, an upfront and cold man, her second in all honesty. Ko, a new hunter with plenty of combat experience and an unknown past. Ulric, A Daemon with powers that made him extremely useful; He wasn't exactly trustworthy, but he had a good heart, or whatever it was Daemons had. Amelia, a butler by trade and a hunter now with the company, she called herself a Beholder, whatever that meant; She used eyes for her magic however and that was an interesting tidbit about her. She didn't know the Yomawari, but Chandra assumed she was probably good at her job. Don, the motorcycle helmet wearing man with a connection to eldritch forces that threatened his mind at all times; He was a risk but his abilities and hunting expertise were top notch. Echo was a good fighter even if she was a bit odd; the pink haired woman was adept with a blade and knew how to use the shadows, making her a good stealth asset. Then there was Jane, a zombie with another shrouded past. She was also a stealthy sort, quite stealthy in fact, with no breathing and a posture that could become absolutely still. And finally there was Adol, a casual sort whose combat abilities came highly recommended. There were other operatives but they haven't arrived yet. Chandra would mull on them when they got to the scene.

Penelope had arrived quite early. She was already in the area when she received a call about three killings. She had already checked the bodies while the police were pushing the crowd back and closing off the area in yellow tape, marking it as a crime scene. There weren't any witnesses among the bystanders trying to sate their curiosity. At least none that seemed to have useful information.

The girl had decided to check nearby alleyways for evidence and clues. There were droplets of blood but they were scattered and without forensics, it wouldn't be possible to tell if the blood even belonged to the victims. The victims weren't robbed. ID, wallets, and money were still on their persons. So that meant the attack was either a hit or random. And judging by the way the people died, they were tracked down for a little while, at least. So the murder was premeditated in some way. They were picked, followed, and killed.

At least, that's what the evidence, or lack thereof, pointed to so far. Penelope sighed and made her way back to the crime scene. All the girl could conclude was that the killer was possibly a taller figure. And that was only if the droplets of blood were related. Upon returning she noticed there were others in the area from her division and others that weren't. Like the Yomawari. Which meant the killings were curious after all to receive such attention. Before Penny could take in everyone that was to possibly help with the investigation she noticed one of the taller figures tampering with the bodies.

"Hey," Penelope called out to Jane in her small voice. "What the hell are you doing? That's tampering with evidence! Something we should not be doing until forensics arrive." Penelope caught up with the main portion of the group and she turned to them. A few humans with some monsters managed to show up so far. Yes, Penny called them monsters because that's what they were at their core. She was almost sure that whatever did the crime was one of them as well. She couldn't help but leer over the different individuals.

"So, I did some checking of the nearby alleyways and couldn't find anything that was conclusive. I'll be able to better determine if some of the droplets i found were the blood of the victims. For all we know, right now, the blood could belong to frozen meat that was thrown away. Either way, we will be hard pressed to find much else until forensics arrive. Hanna is already on her way with them and should be here any minute." Penelope paused to check her watch when, right on time a van pulled up to the scene. A small team of people including a dark haired woman, in rectangular glasses, with her signature turtle neck and pants suit, stepped out and approached the team.

img_1120-1-png.801431
As Hanna and the forensics team crossed the police tape, Penelope quickly caught them up on what she knew.

"Three bodies, no face, no sign of struggle, no signs of missing items to show it was a mugging. There's partial blood in one of the alleyways I'd like you to confirm for me. And the initial cause of death seems to be the lacerations to the victims' throats; all identical. It's either possible we'll dealing with multiple killers or a very fast one." Hanna was known for hanging around the forensics team down in the sub-basement autopsy area. Penelope didn't fully understand why the woman liked to hang around in that area but Hanna kept saying something along the lines of 'less distractions.' So if there was something that went down, Hanna often arrived with forensics.

Hanna went over and took a closer look at the bodies. She was often seen with a small recording device and was always seen muttering into or towards it. Penelope, herself, had never heard any recordings played back but she assumed that Hanna was a person that wanted documentation of everything. She was a detective after all. So doubling back seemed to be part of the M.O.

"The only thing that is known for sure," Hanna said out loud despite her calm voice. "is that the victims most likely bled out or died from shock before the facial mutilation happened. And that they were on the run when caught. But we'd have to wait for the autopsy to see if their identities match their IDs." Hanna stood up and took in the people that were probably also working the case. She recognized most, everyone, there. Whether they worked for Paranormania or not.

"So, we have any witnesses?"

Jane slowly reaches behind her to pull something out, the action unsettling nearby officers until it came to light to be a simple black feather and book of parchment wrapped in an unidentifiable leather. Soft scratches could be heard as she continues to stand there for a moment, flipping to a new page as the newcomer speaks before lowering her hand and making several gestures and fanning what seems to be three ID cards within her hand and flipping the pad open.

1604514472605.png
The scene of the alley appears to have been sketched out in remarkable detail including the splatters and blood droplets annotated to the sources, some scribbles next to the hands, and then a series of numbers and arrows jumping around. On the second page seems to be a list of heights, age, blood types and more, each with one of the names from the IDs with question marks next to what looks to be a mix of muscle/bone shapes. The rest of the writing time frames and other miscellaneous information including something about a gold tooth and fillings pointing the ID with a guy with a smile showing a faint glint behind his lips. Putting the feather away into the hat she remains to offer the book over in front of her towards Chandra, the wording seeming to hold a good number of Latin terms one could guess were medical-related.

“Noah Wake up, you’re already late… NOAH!” Noah woke up startled at the sound of Friends voice inside his head, he was confused at first but then realized the severity of the situation. Noah moved his head up which was lying on his cap which he used as a pillow and pushed off his coat which he used as a blanket. It was surprising how he was able to sleep so soundly on the ground of the top floor of a tall building. He finally stood up, grabbing his coat again and putting it back on, moving to a piece of broken glass laying on the ground he checked his appearance to make sure nothing was out of the ordinary. He slapped both of his hands on his cheeks, “Ok no more time to waste, I don’t want to upset them!” Noah then turned quickly to the edge which dropped straight to the streets, he ran before abruptly stopping, only inches from falling, Noah was still not used to the height… 20 floors was quite tall, so instead he looked up at the other buildings calming him… “ok… wait am I forgetting something?” he asked himself before shrugging and jumping off the building diving straight for the ground before finally opening his arms up and flying.

As he flew to where he was supposed to meet everyone else, he noticed two objects flying next to him, his goggles and his cap which he had forgotten about, “Ohhhhhh that’s what I forgot. Thanks Friend, you’re the best” Noah exclaimed before putting on the goggles and the cap shortly afterwards. He soared through the streets performing loops and nearly avoiding birds more times than not. “You know Friend, I wonder what these people are like, I think they’ll be super cool, like they’re detectives and stuff I think, they’re gonna be so cool I can’t wait” Noah spoke out loud. “Yes… I can’t wait...”

Finally seeing the group in the distance, Noah twirled a bit before slowing down and landing on his feet stumbling a bit on the process, noticing he was a lot cleaner than he was when he woke up, “What’s that all about?” he asked “I saw the need that you should be cleaner when presenting yourself to these people.” Friend responded, “Oh OK!” Noah cheerfully responded, before heading to the group, just by looking at them Noah was already curious and surprised and was about to ask his question until he saw the bodies… he avoided looking at them, when one lived in the city and on the poorest areas, bodies weren’t uncommon, but Noah still found them uncomfortable to look at…

“Hello everyone… my name is Noah, Pleasure to meet you all!” he exclaimed to the group to no one in particular.

5aab2af7073344bd0a880445300be3a5.jpg Ai YomawariThe subtle glow of Ai's Evil Eye faded as it was deactivated. It would seem that the culprit was not among the ranks of those infernal spawn, though a small trace of magic did linger. There were many possibilities, and many more for the motivation behind such a barbaric display, but she was sure it was not human. At least, not a typical one.

"The murderer was not demonic in origin, how surprising." Ai said, standing up to gaze over the bloody street once more, "Whatever they are, subtly seems beyond their nature. Of course, that is to be expected of beasts. Otherwise one might swear they were taunting the hunters, having left such a mess while gathering trophies in an open street... or perhaps they needed the faces for some magic. There is some residue, though it is faint. Likely innate. If magic was used, illusion perhaps, then you should contact the nearby businesses and landlords to request access to their security footage. Your company has that amount of influence, I hope?"

She only half-listened to the other creatures talk, only barely tolerating their presence, especially the mute one with the mask. A look of disgust rippled over her face when she saw it scrounging around the bodies. Another arrived late and offered them... snacks? This company was alarmingly unprofessional. Madame Yomawari must have been playing a jest for her own amusement to have sent her here. "How... lovely... you appear to have a talented group here, Callo." Her tone was curt, with just the hint of cruel amusement. She continued, "If the faces were harvested for magic then perhaps it is safe to keep a look out for the dead individuals in case of identity theft, once they have been successfully IDed."

Ai paused when he felt the gaze of someone behind her. She turned around and immediately the look on her face froze over. Her visible eye narrowed and she remained silent, even as Ulric introduced himself. He seemed pleasant, but a tamed asp was still an asp. Ignoring him, she spoke to Callo like one might speak to a dog's owner, "I see Paranormania is fond of keeping pet daemons around. Ensure it is well behaved, or I will not be able to guarantee its safety."

With that, she seemed to be eager to get away from the daemon and promptly turned to walk away. She lingered near Hannah and Penelope, listening to the information they had. Finally, Ai seemed to approve of some Paranormania employees, but of course her fleeting hope was shattered by the arrival of a child.

Ai sighed dramatically. "Why is there a child here? Don't tell me he is an employee... Paranormania isn't that desperate, is it?"

As she said this, another figure approached the group. He looked like a motorcyclist, but beyond that she could not tell anything else since they wore their helmet over their head. She gave them a small glance, not really thinking much of them considering the rest of this colorful cast, when she was hit by a stabbing pain in her left eye. Ai winced and brought her hand to feel the cool stone below her hair. This man was neither demon nor spirit, yet it caused a strange reaction with the eye. It was not enough to evoke immediate aggression from the Yomawari, but enough to keep her on edge. Her hand lingered near her blade's hilt, her brows furrowed. What was that creature?

CALLO

The third person to arrive at the crime scene was not a member of Paranormania, instead coming from the Yomawari family. Callo raised an eyebrow at this, but assumed that the higher ups within his organization had already straightened out the matter. He had worked with a Yomawari in the past and they had been effective at the killing part of the job, if a bit zealous. Callo didn't particularly like or dislike the Yomawaris. They had taken jobs in his part of the world very few times, so he’d only ever really met one. This one however, was named Ai and at first Callo figured they’d all work together just fine. Then she started to speak. He groaned inwardly as he recognized the arrogant tone and self-assured bravado. This was definitely a Yomawari.

Callo looked down at Ai for a moment, considering his response, trying to find words that would appease the upper class citizen. He decided to say fuck it and his voice found a monotone timbre. “With the amount of funding we have, I'm sure Paranormania will be around a while longer. Thank you for your concern though. You've sent in the proper paperwork to work with us I trust?” Callo held out his hand, gloved in expensive material with antimagic properties. “The name’s Callo, Head Inspector. Do you have any additional information for us? I'd assume there'd be at least a little extra information if the Yomawaris have taken interest.” He paused for a second before continuing. ”Y'know I've worked with your family before. It was in the Himalayas, nasty Yeti problem. You guys are good with those swords.”

Amelia arrived next and Callo smiled slightly as she approached, she was a good person, if a bit strange. “Don't worry Amelia, you're not late, I'd have said something if you were late.” Ko spoke right after him saying, “Just Ko is fine, I don't really use my last name much.” Amelia had set herself up as team butler and so her skills revolved mostly around being a proper support for the team. Then he noticed that Jane was here. Dammit he hadn't even noticed the shadowy figure arrive. He hated that. And the fact she was already messing with the bodies almost set him off. Until he remembered they had a guest. “Jane, please keep away from the corpses until the professionals get here. I've seen your skills in action and I know they are adequate. But, there's a way we do things in this business, and that way includes waiting for the pros.” He waved for Jane to come closer, away from the corpses. And as he waved he noticed Echo had also arrived. A strange girl that one, he didn't really trust her all that much to be honest. He waved to her as well, motioning for her to come within earshot.

Ulric arrived next and Callo almost felt bad for the Daemon. He knew that the Yomawaris were infamous for their Daemon killings, some in the Daemonic circles even called them serial killers, disguising their murderous intent with accidents and accusations of demonic possession. To Ulric’s credit however, he acted maturely and very appropriately. Callo smiled on the inside and decided he’d pair the two up, just to see how far he could push the two. It was immature he knew, but Callo wanted to get a feel for the Yomawari and there was no better way to get inside her head than to purposefully antagonize her. She wouldn't know that of course, and Callo could easily feign ignorance on his part.

Adol came next, offering snacks to the rest of the group. Callo almost face palmed at the casual nature of the snacks. He then took a donut. The next to arrive after Adol, was the eldritch abomination Don. Don was a good guy with a really bad problem. He was possessed by an unknown eldritch being of some sort. This made Don an incredible asset and a huge liability. He was a constant danger to everyone around him, but that made him perfect for the hunting job. Anyone could be your enemy in this line of work, and don’s nature made him well suited to the violence that inevitably took place on missions.

After that came Chandra, causing Callo to instinctively salute. He listened to her plan with several nods and told her he’d begin the moment the rest of the team arrived. Penelope and Hanna were next to arrive, analyzing the scene of the crime with their usual skills as soon as they got there. Nothing out of the ordinary in that. “No witnesses so far, we’ll be getting to that in the next several moments. I'll be pairing you all up and we’ll go door to door. Then Jane held up several IDs and Callo’s eyes widened for a second before he motioned for her to give them to him. “Give those here Jane.” Seconds after he was holding the IDs a new face showed itself in the form of a child. This child was named Noah, recently hired, in fact just the day beforehand, as an intern for the Hunters of the company. “Good to see you again Noah, please take Adol’s snacks and distribute them to everyone, then stand back for a moment while we deal with the bodies.” Callo’s normally cold tone went soft for a moment with Noah. He had coached a baseball team in his time off when he was younger, so Callo knew how to deal with kids fairly well.

Callo’s attention was then stolen from Noah as Ai began to speak once more, saying, “The murderer was not demonic in origin.” Callo walked over to Ai’s side and looked down at the sprawled out bodies. Chandra hung back for a moment, and upon Ai’s rude comment, huffed and scowled. She walked over, interrupting Callo before he could get a word in, heels clicking on the pavement, and said, “I'd appreciate it if you held your tongue around my employees Yomawari, your family has influence, but the one who founded Paranormania tops them by far. Not to say your input has no value, but I'd appreciate a little more civility around my employees.”

Ulric narrowed his eyes at Ai, then smiled and said, “Oh believe me, I'm well behaved Ai, at least, if you want me to be.”

The soft clicking of heels can be heard along with a velvety voice in the distance as the fog of the cold night air is slowly broken to reveal the eye-catching form of Lucille talking away to a person unknown on the other end of the earpiece.

"Listen, Darling, How many musicians do you think you have there? the first-rate ones I mean?.... Two, That's all, We've got the rest, Beethoven, all the Bachs, Bowie, Mercury...well that depends on your dear play your cards right and let's just say you ain't ever had a friend like me...ok yes him too....you know what we would like, see it done and then we can speak about that".

Pressing the side of her ear the woman ends the call and steps through the police line, extracting a small lanyard from her plunging neckline with her ID card and walking to the rest of the group like a model would walk down a runway "Thank You, Damn You, Your Villian has arrived!" raising her hands to the air in a pose and playful laugh. Casting a gaze across the others gathered she stops at the bodies for a moment, her nose twitching slightly before the devil's lip part a little further, extracting a phone from the same place as her lanyard and snapping a few quick pictures idly as she looks to the rest "Well these guys should have been more careful in this city...you never know with who your going to have a....." she pauses reaching down her neckline once more seemingly searching for something, a mild look of frustration crossing her features as she rummages around and hands descending in further "Where did i....well pretend im putting on sunglasses at the moment as i say "Face Off", Im going to find them, after all, this i just know it.....in either case, what are we doing here in general?"

Spot~
the usual mess of an apartment is what Spot woke up to. Shreds of wallpaper, blood-stained clothing, and furniture that barely stood up anymore. Pulling himself off his nest on the floor he grabbed his extremely cracked phone, answering without checking. He knew exactly who had his number. Grabbing some random clothing he slipped into it. The oversized white shirt hung off him, deciding on simple black pants, and of course his usual no-shoe rule. He placed the simple black collar around his throat to really tie in the blood-stained outfit.

fetching the last part of his outfit, by far the most important, the weapons hung casually from his back. Blowing strands of his hair out of his eyes he happily skipped towards work. Not even sparing a glance at the occasional mugging or assault that happened on the way. Living in the cheapest sector of the city meant of course the crime rate was high. God, he loved it here. He had yet to permanently move into the building with the others, though he knew he was expected to very soon. Maybe if action spikes up he will. Especially since it's a long-ass walk to most of the places. Not to mention his driver's licence was taken away after he hit a kid... twice... it was the same kid.

as he approached the area he was called to the sent of blood reached his nose. He smiled a toothy grin of giddiness, his canines shinning in the light. He brushed past the onlookers as he entered the crime scene. The blood that splattered the ground caused his eyes to light up as he stopped next to one of the bodies, laughing to himself at the sight, "I wonder if they ate up the face, it's probably their favourite part. Mine's the liver though I can see the reason they would like the face!" he chirped happily as he smiled at his colleagues. Some he regonized as fellow members of Paranormania while others he didn't

his face smiled even wider as he saw a face he didn't know, a girl. She smelled like money and importance. How could he smell something like that? Pretty easy to recognize the soap and detergent used by them after you hang around them for a while. She had a symbol on her back but he had no idea what it meant, nor could he care less. He casually walked up to her, gently flicking the tip of her hat with his finger, "Your hat is so funny, can I wear it?"

Echo
A frown plastered Echo's face as she came closer to the group as per Callo's request. This large gather of people wasn't what she was accustomed to. So many faces to look at and so many watching her back. Even those not with Paranormania were staring at her, and she hoped none of them were muttering about her as well as the murder. No, that would hardly be the case. This murder was already so bizarre without an elf-like construct observing it.

Still, she tightened the leather jacket around her, one of many items given to her by the company. It was one of the reasons she complied to join. Never running to look for food or a place to sleep, to be under protection, and all she had to do was kill a few guys. It was a contract she couldn't turn down - high reward, low cost. She was mentally programmed to be a professional in the art of assassination and murder.

Unlike those around her. Her glare at the rest of the group was obvious. A few of them lacked any professionalism towards the matter, and more were just loud. She visibly tensed and shuffled to the side the moment anyone got too close to her, one step better than holding a dagger to their throat which she was told just days ago was a "terrible social cue that would get her arrested".

The group began throwing ideas around regarding the missing faces. One person talked about the faces being removed due to hiding their identity, someone mused over the idea of eating faces right after someone made what Echo had learnt was a joke surrounding the ordeal. She decided some logic should be brought to attention.

Echo cleared her throat. "It's impractical." She looked to the rest of the group. "Especially considering they already slit the victim's throats. I'd assume this was multiple people unless there was a single killer with supernatural speed." Confusion flashed over her face. "Then I don't know what a face would do. I was never told to go for the face or that there was any value in a face. This has to be rare." She scanned over the ally quickly. "And they didn't take any effort to not keep these bodies out in the open." Echo blinked before looking to the rest of the group. "Wait... would this be someone stupid enough to want everyone to know that they killed someone? Why didn't they try to cover this up?"

DON REDFIELD

As the group tried to understand what exactly happened with the bodies, Jane decided that it was a good idea to go around and investigate the bodies by her own which made Don question her professionalism. Paranormania had a lot of odd employees, like Don or Jane but even monster had to remain civilized to be accepted as a member of the society. ‘This one is rather interesting’ Lohrn told Don who shaked it off and caught the Yomawari woman staring at him, her hand was close to her hilt as if she saw him as some sort of menace, she did seem to treat monsters like they are worth less than she is. ‘Pitiful, that such a small being considers itself so important. Just another worthless life, wanting to mean something way bigger than it actually is’ Lohrn already had a very strong opinion about the woman, Don remained quiet and lifted his right hand up towards her and did a brief waving motion.

Monsters weren’t received well around some humans, and considering the horrible acts that some monsters did, their reputation was already pretty bad. Don really wanted to bring more civility between monsters and humans, he, who once was a human who didn’t trust monsters can clearly see that some of them aren’t as bad as people say they are, we are all looking for something, love, meaning.. anything. ‘You seem to like looking for meaning in those thoughts of yours, I wouldn't be so hopeful. She is going to try to kill you, let me deal with her’ the monster talked with Don, tying to control the body. Don obviously refused noticing Noah also arrived, he was recently hired. And that was pretty much everything he knew about the boy, What kind of strange powers did he have ? Don couldn’t show anyone Lohrn as the best he was able to project was the monsters Aura, a big, tentacle like aura that would keep anyone in edge. Don stopped to think for a moment before quickly looking at Ai, maybe she was able to see his Aura ? Not everyone was able to the the monstrous shadow that accompanied Don. No, that couldn’t be possible.

As more people kept arriving Don could only wonder how many agents were needed to solve this case. The sound of heels were heard as Lucille arrived. Callo told Don about her during the brief conversations they had, Don was hired almost at the first day Paranormaia opened, which led to him getting to know more about him teammates. In regards to look she had a good sense of fashion, but it wasn’t surprising considering she was a demon, or was it something else ? He wasn’t really sure about. He wasn’t able to remember everything about everyone. Either way it was time to go back to the crime, as Echo talked more about the bodies Don thought something. “Maybe.. they want attention ? What if they wanted us to see this ?” His line of thought was that whoever did this wanted to catch as much attention as possible, killers like these want to be seem, rather it is a message or a way for other people to recognize their ‘work'. Don didn’t think they were dealing with a normal murder case.

5aab2af7073344bd0a880445300be3a5.jpg Ai YomawariA disgusted sneer spread across Ai's face after she heard the daemon's comment. She shook her head and turned from him, unwilling to give him the luxury of a response, and soon found herself face to face with the leader of Paranormania. Of course, she was some cat-like beastfolk, and she was clearly displeased about Ai's stance on the worth of demonkin. It didn't bother Ai in the slightest, save for the waste of breath that was answering the lady.

"Seeing as I am tolerating this demon's every breath, I believe I have been as civil as I can be," Ai replied coolly, seeming unimpressed by the founder's supposed power. If anything, it only deepened the pompous look on her face. "The Yomawari have taken interest in this case, and as their representative I will work with you and your...talented employees. I trust you can keep them in line, as it would be a shame if the Yomawari had to take further interest. Now, we had best continue the investigation before the trail goes cold."

She gave another glare at Don, narrowing her eye, pondering him like the wolf might regard a lost hiker. The Eye still stung every time she looked at him, but aside from that she could not discern just what he was. She forced herself to look longer, seeing a darkish smear around his form, before she had to tear her gaze away. This was something she had never encountered before, but if the Evil Eye was reacting it was unlikely to be benign. Perhaps Madame Yamawari would know, but until then she would stay on her guard. Ai kept her hand near her blade, but did not show any further signs of aggression. At least, until a daemon sashayed through the crime scene like some tourist. Needless to say the joke did not garner any amusement from the Yomawari.

Immediately, Ai hated her. Just like a few others, the daemon seemed nonchalant around the bodies, though it was unsurprising for a demon to joke about the brutal murder of civilians. Ai sighed dramatically, "There are more...lovely..."

She was soon approached by yet another -- or at least she assumed -- employee, though this one was significantly less scandalous in appearance. The boy looked to be approaching his twenties, which was one of the main reasons Ai didn't grab his wrist and crush the pressure point. Instead, she knocked his hand away and gave him an icy stare. "No, you may not. Touch my hat again and you will be wearing a cast."

Spot~
Spot smiled joyfully at the hat clad woman, giggling, "that would be fun, we should definitely play that game sometime," he spoke, an excited smile beaming on his face, "And if I win, I get the hat!" he laughed out. It was unsure how her breaking his arm would be a game or how exactly he planned on winning it, but either way, he knew he would. His giddy attitude turned to a tick of annoyance at one of the dull employees with who he had the unpleasant fortune of working alongside.

"Have you ever heard of draining the blood out of meat?" he spoke with a voice of annoyance, "You can never judge someone's taste in their food. Not to mention from my experience I can definitely see the appeal of the face's taste," he spoke, offering her a toothy smile that showed off his sharp teeth. Her lack of knowledge on eating other sentient beings was almost laughable. To think they thought the stuff he knew was disgusting or pointless. 'who needs to know how to dismember a human corpse in less than a minute' they say, now who is laughing! Spot still is.

He put his finger on his chin, making a 'thinking face'-really just a scrunched-up face he uses to make fun of 'smart' people- while letting out a loud "hmmm". Then like a light bulb turned on he lifted his finger up, "Maybe they think they are so safe from blame that they don't have to bother cleaning up." he let out a loud giggle, even though none of them understood his reference. Letting out a bored sigh he waddled over to the bodies, turning to the group as he bent over in an almost bowing position from looking at the bodies, "Do you think anyone would mind if I borrowed an arm or two? I didn't eat any breakfast today." he spoke, his voice level and his face completely serious. Nota a trace of joking on his face. At the look at the others' faces, he let out a 'pft' before bursting into laughter. Wiping a tear from his eyes, "Psh, don't worry I like the legs better anyway."
