Mark Gordon
1592983616756.png

Mark was surprised to find the attractive redhead smile back and even give a slight giggle. It definitely brought him some confidence, something he desperately needed more of at the moment. If he was going to befriend these people, he was going to need to make some good first impressions. Looking over again, he saw her link arms with the group of people that she was with and started to walk over. His heart started racing.

Mark did not expect for her to bring the group around her with her. Well, no better way to make new friends he guessed. Instead of having to do multiple first impressions, he can do just one big one with a group of people. The people that she was with were stunning. There was a gorgeous black woman, a hip black woman, and two tan woman in a red dresses. All of them looked picture perfect, like models. This was going to be an interesting situation.

Mark then saw the redhead order some more whiskey from the bar. There eyes locked again, but this time she wavered him to come closer. "Did she just call me handsome!?" Mark thought to himself as he made his way over to her. "Well whatever I'm doing, I should keep doing it. Seems to be working". He then was standing in front of her as she was leaning against the bar. Although most people seemed short to Mark, she was smaller than he expected. Though on the contrary, he had a thing for shorter girls.

"You can call me Mark. Its a pleasure to meet to meet you Miss Adam's" Mark said as he gently took her hand into his. They were small, her pale skin being soft and warm to the touch. They were a stark contrast with his big olive hands, which were calloused from years of playing guitar and working out in the gym. Mark lowered his head while raising her hand and gave it a gentle kiss. "I appreciate you inviting me to come over. All of this gala stuff is still pretty new to me". Mark then looked over to one of the tan girls who gave him a greeting. "Nice to meet to Rosalind. I'm Mark" he said with a warm smile. "I'll be looking forward to working with you. I love the vibe of your music". Mark then looked back at Cade and gave her another warm smile. He was off to a good start.

Isaac turned his sights away at Cadence's words, and feigned a blush at her compliments. "Ah, quit flattering me, shorty, you're gonna' me blush." Isaac stood like a kid who's mother was adjusting his clothes for school as Cadence fixed him up. His eyes wandered around the sea of people present as she did so, which honestly wasn't too difficult with his own 6 feet 3 well above her "5'1." He found it hard to believe she was even an inch past five every time she brought it up, and had made sure to tease her about it in the past. Maybe with the heels she had a couple more on him than usual this time.

"You're still as short as ever-" Isaac was taken aback at Cadence falling towards him, pausing his sentence to extend both arms in front of him. He was able to catch her by her sides (and was honestly surprised her hands had even reached his shoulders) and prop her back onto her heels. Isaac's eyes quickly scanned where Cadence had once stood, and piqued a brow at the sight he'd come across. Rose Hepburn. He'd seen her before on social media, whether it was one of her posts on Instagram or the time he'd tried shooting his shot with her on Twitter. Still, nothing could have prepared him for Rosalind Hepburn live and in the flesh. It seemed she was only more dashing in person than on the internet (and she was already pretty hot there too!).

"Isaac Wilde. It's a pleasure meeting you." Isaac flashed a wink from his place behind Cadence. He made a mental note to get her number sometime throughout the night, or perhaps offer a ride home. That wasn't too forward right?

Eh, thinking wasn't much Isaac's thing. He was a doer, something that'd benefited him more than people commonly believe. He never really found himself overthinking, or overdoing. He'd learned that going with the flow was much easier than trying to manipulate the tides, and had adopted it in his day to day life along with the sort of music he produced. At a voice all too familiar though, Isaac grinned back at Dakota Prince's arrival. His eyes lingered down onto the gold lace dress, but at his words his expression turned into an playful cringe.

"See I was 'bout to compliment you but you always hoin' me." Isaac whined, and let out a short chuckle. His sights turned back to the growing group as Dakota settled herself among the rest of them. Isaac's smile only continued to grow as the group did. A brunette woman arrived at the scene, someone Isaac swore he recognized but couldn't quite put a name on the face. Still, she, among with the other women he'd acquainted thus far at the gala were testimony that Stardom certainly only signed the hottest.

As much as he swore that night couldn't get any better Isaac's eyes were able to make out Bianca Sinclaire in the distance. Obviously she was dressed up in the latest Olivia Sinclaire, and stunningly so. He missed his best friend, someone he trusted with damn near everything and couldn't wait to get her Stardom Hotel room number. He was going to have to give Bianca a word or two on why she hadn't told him about her presence earlier though. They could've arrived together for all he knew. Still, Isaac waved back at his friend, but suddenly felt the arm of Cadence Adams intertwining into his. He smiled sheepishly at Bianca once more, before turning his gaze ahead of him and towards wherever Cade had lead himself and... Rose, he discovered with a glance over Cadence's head.

At the bar Isaac was certainly intimidated by the orders of the two ladies. He'd always been a lightweight, and while sometimes playing off a cup of Apple juice as a whiskey usually sufficed, ordering his usual would definitely be an embarrassing first impression. "Can I get a Champagne. Just to start of course." Isaac flashed a smile at the bartender, who disappeared and returned in seconds with his drink. He clasped the body of the glass, and took a short sip of the tangy golden drink before his eyes turned to the man Cadence had heralded. A man by the name of Mark-- Isaac knew him much better as Tony Sonido. Three songs in the current top 20 was definitely impressive, and he found himself thinking about just how much star power Stardom truly had. Almost all the artists he'd come across were had songs in the top 100-- likely more if he was being honest.

He nodded down at the man, though found he'd quickly busied himself with Cadence. It was hard not to, she was definitely a magnet of sorts. Isaac just winked at the blue-eyed man, before leaning back down at the table. Out of the corner of his eyes Isaac had noticed Rosalind towards the side, her expression almost frozen cold at something she'd seen. He tried to match her gaze, and piqued a brow over in the direction of Felix and Ophelia in the distance. Something about Rose reminded him of something all too familiar, and though he felt a tinge of guilt at the sight of Ophelia at Felix's side, he found himself waltzing over to the side of Rosalind Hepburn.

"He an ex or something?" Isaac started, and leaned back onto the side of the counter beside Rose. His eyes wandered forward at the crowd, but he found himself inching closer and closer towards the woman in the fitting red dress. "I usually try not to mix alcohol with my emotions-- I've never done nothing but barf at the taste of..." Isaac rose a brow towards the drink in Rosalind's hands, and let out a short laugh at his own words.

"Pretty girl like you shouldn't be nothing but litty at a bash like this though. Penny for 'ya thought?" He took a sip of the champagne in hand, and found himself sneaking glances at the model to the left of him. In spite of his Bronx upbringing, Isaac's voice was far less rough and harsh than one would imagine. Rather it was smooth, and nonchalant, making it almost poetic in how he spoke and carried himself.

keep your head
"I'm fine." Ophelia blurted out, digging her nails into the back of Felix's hand. The world was spinning and the colors were too fucking bright. Their voices were all so loud and blending together into some hysteric crescendo, and on the floor she could see ants in the specs of marble, marching and moving around with fervor. This was why Ophelia and Felix were 'off' at the moment. For the last two weeks Ophelia had been either locked up in her room or in the studio, where she could control herself and not be in the public eye. Moments like these she needed to be by herself. All color drained from her face, making the foundation and blush look blotchy on her skin, a white rabbit hopping around the legs of the party-goers in confusion. Her eyes stared at it, and the rabbit stared back, it's little nose wiggling constantly before darting off in the direction of two familiar faces.

The whole world went silent, like someone pulled the plug. Monica, Felix, Zephyr, the Uncaged Bandits who were almost blocking her view- all fell away, crumbling into ash and fading into the abyss. Then came the trumpets and flutes, little men and women parading around her feet and drumming their itty bitty drums. War drums. Why don't you want to have a relationship with her? She took everything from me. There she was again, taking things from her. Stealing people away from her. Rosalind Hepburn was the bane of her existence, and Isaac Wilde was the opposite- and they were flirting. They were fucking flirting. At first, Ophelia's eye began to twitch, and then her hand slacked against Felix's, her breath caught deep in her chest. Her brows furrowed in confusion, but her full lips twisted back and then her mouth closed again, wanting nothing more than to walk over there and throttle Rosie. How dare she. How dare she use their last name as her stage name. How dare she take her father. How dare she flirt and rub elbows with one of her oldest colleagues- one she had feelings for, no less- how dare she have the audacity to accept a contract from the same music company.

Her upper intestine and stomach clenched, sending vomit up her esophagus. Rosalind Hepburn disgusted her so much that it made her physically ill. Instantly, Ophelia let go of Felix and bolted, clutching her stomach and one hand over her mouth as she kicked open the door to the bathrooms, found the nearest stall and doubled over.

Leo Walsh
The whole thing was exactly as Leo expected. Big, loud, flashy, full of beautiful people. So what on earth was he doing there? He checked his appearance on the way in, there was this big-ass mirror or what not. He didn’t look half-bad though, black was his color, the smooth jacket was the shit and he actually liked it. And they let him to wear one of his fave shoes. He wouldn’t be seen dead in one of that formal tux bullshit footwear. At least there was a small part where he had his say what to wear. They made him wear a tux but it could have been much worse.

The best part of it was he got his friends there. What on earth would he be doing there on his own? This was totally not his scene and he felt absolutely out of place among all those cameras, sparkling gowns, men with flawless teeth and so many pretty girls. His eyes burned slightly but it was only because he was a dumbass and forgot about the eyedrops in his glove compartment. Dude, you never forget your eyedrops! So here he was, high as a jet, eyes slightly narrowed and mind a bit hazy. Yet he managed to walk straight to his bandmates, joining them with hands tucked in his pockets.

But once he saw Link, he knew. The dude was like his brother from another mother. The two connected on that special level and he was the ultimate partner in crime. So were the others but Leo and Link? That was an immediate bromance from the day one. And the proof was right there. Leo just appeared and Link was all ready for a power break. The thing was he would love to step out now but since he just arrived, his mind was telling him to be civil for at least a minute longer.

Not really more than two seconds after he asked about Lloyd, he heard his loud voice and hands fell on his shoulders. If the volume of that British accent didn’t make him wince enough, the smell of gin surely did. “Yeah…he’s here…” Leo commented very dryly, ignoring the endearment. Because seriously? Flamingo? And the one thing he was trying to focus on was not to burst out laughing upon how the actual word ‘flamingo’ sounded in Lloyd’s accent.

But Adrian’s reaction to Lloyd’s appearance didn’t add much to it. Leo stepped a bit aside, so the drunk asshat could join the circle. “You’re well on your way to being out of it…” Leo repeated Adrian’s words to Link, imitating that thick Australian accent (not very successfully but still) and that was it. Man burst out. He found it too funny, the whole conversation between them. Honestly, at first, Leo really had problem understanding these two and initially he had no fucking idea what they were saying. Was this ever gonna be not funny?

He would totally continue but then another voice cut through the air and was enough to have the poor bloke mortified. She just HAD to. Good thing they all were pregamed, as Link had put it very accurately. Very smooth actually! But Kat joining their little circle was enough to have Leo choke on his own laughter. That woman was a real trouble. Kinda loud. Not that he would ever tell her. Fuck, no! She was terrifying! And the way she and Lloyd went around each other? They were together, then they were not, then on again, off again, on, off….fuck you, guys! Make up your fucking mind!

Moreover, Leo never knew what to do around women like her. Okay, wait! There were no women like her. There was only one Kat Sinclaire, that much was true. His mates obviously had very different reactions to the redhead in amazing dress coming close. “Hey, Kat…” Leo started, bringing himself to look at her face. “You, uh…have nice…uhh…teeth!”

‘Dude, what the fuck did you just say to her???’ His inner self was now hitting his head against the wall, thinking why this guy wasn’t lobotomized years ago. It surely seemed way overdue. Nice teeth? Who says that? No wonder she thought he was an idiot. No wonder any girl though he was mentally retarded. Just hit him with a shovel already, maybe he’ll get it right after a nice concussion. Or for fuck’s sake, teach him how to talk to women!

Don’t get it wrong, Leo dated his fair share. But not girls like Katherine. She was way out of his league and the girls he usually dated were definitely not famous singers or models. Or both. Those were far too difficult to talk to and despite many girls practically throwing at him just because he was in the band, he was never the smooth talker. His girlfriends were common girls, maybe not that pretty as his bandmates were getting in their beds but since a banana had more game than him, no wonder.

The second he though about it, Adrian started to handle the situation. Was he…hitting on her? Leo’s faced cringed, seeing Adrian’s game right in front of Lloyd, who was full of gin. Was that wise? Considering where they were? What was wrong with the guy? But then again, Leo himself just told her she had nice teeth…top that!

“Dude, I think the later is now…” she turned to Link, referring to his offer to go and have a smoke later. His thumb and index finger went up to rub the root of his nose and a strong feeling took over him that he couldn’t watch this play out sober. Damn, why did he not think about bringing a snack himself? Bless you, Lincoln Farrow, for being the best mate ever.

Bianca Sinclaire
Of course the Sinclaire sisters caught the attention of almost everyone. The radiant presence of two redheads who were almost like twins, wearing matching dresses that embraced their perfect figures as if they were painted on them, who wouldn’t be intrigued? Bianca noticed a long time ago that many times, men wanted them and women wanted to be them. This attention fed the younger sister and she would never say no to cameras, interviews and admiring looks. Her lips were as always, curled in a luscious smile while looking around.

She already spotted the person he wanted to see and greet. Most definitely, he would scold her for not telling him she would be here but the redheads did it on purpose. Shocking and surprising was their thing. But now that they were here, nothing was going to stop Bianca from saying hi to Isaac.

Kat was already on her own plan. Bianca looked the way her sister was about to walk and to no surprise, she saw Lloyd and the Bandits. A slight pinch felt in the deepest pit of her stomach. Kat had no idea. And Bibi felt the worst she was keeping it a secret. But the thing between her and Lloyd was never anything more than just a …fling? Did she really feel that way? How did Lloyd feel about their short affair? The thing was that Bianca could see very well from where she was standing that the man was not sober, quite the contrary. And Kat was going there to stir trouble. And all Bibi was hoping for was that Lloyd would keep his mouth shut, whatever happens.

With a deeper breath and resetting of her smile, Bianca strutted towards the bar. After all, it was not only Isaac but also Cade she wanted to meet. Plus the other redhead invited her so why wouldn’t she join them?

“Hello, beautiful people!” she exclaimed with a genuine joy in her voice. “Cade, love, you look AH-MAZING!” A little affect in her voice but that was just Bibi. Not one mean bone in that body. Once you got used to the way she spoke, you might find out she was actually very pleasant person. A little too chatty, but still. “All of you, you just look like from the front page. Seriously!” Her eyes scanned each and every one of them. This event truly had the most attractive people.

“I’ll get back to all of you in a little bit, mkay?” she chirped and turned to the bartender.

“Hey, sweetheart. A glass of champagne. And make it pink and pretty.” Bianca sent a wink to the man and got served almost immediately. “Your champagne, Miss Sinclaire.” A nice tall flute with sparkling pink liquid landed in front of her, delicately decorated with strawberries. With another flirty wink, Bianca took the glass and finally approached the best boy in her universe. He was talking to someone but…yeah, Bibi could make some more friends, the way she saw it.

“What a girl has to do to get a hug here, Isaac?” she giggled in her own childish way, standing two steps behind his back, champagne in one hand, the other hand set on her hip and her face was shining with an amused smirk.

Lloyd grinned at the dryness in Leo's tone, and only tightened his grip over the bassist. Next off was Link who he clasped tight in the bro-hug, and nodded firmly at his comment. "It's not a party if you still remember it the day after." He replied, his pearly whites evident as a wide smile stretched onto his face. Lloyd then turned his sights towards Adrian, but his brows furrowed tight at the tone of his words. "Don't fuckin' grill me on this, lad. I'm standing here, aren't I?" He forced a finger into center of Adrian's chest, and frowned at the white-haired man.

"Doesn't matter anyways. I reckon leading events like this wanks you off pretty quickly, aye?" As he spoke his voice softened, eyes turning down to the crinkled part of Adrian's suit. He patted out the wrinkles he'd caused, and pulled at Adrian's cheek-- banter for the youngest of the band, really. "Put a rubber on it tonight, pretty boy."

With those words Lloyd stepped back into the group circle, eyeing each of his mates. "We'll have a good nigh..." An expression of confusion crossed Lloyd's face as the boys' faced slowly turned sour, and pink. Lloyd swerved on the heels of his shoes, and his heart almost skipped a beat at the sight. He'd knocked back into Leo as he spun, but quickly collected himself at the sight of Katherine Sinclaire. "Speak of the devil..." Lloyd murmured at the sight. What sort of fucked up surprise was this? Kat's idea for their surprise trip to Dubai, that was an adequate surprise. This-- this was complete fucking blasphemy.

Lloyd found himself falling quiet at her arrival, and thankfully his boys came to the rescue. All but Leo of course-- His dunce act wasn't helping anybody. A fucking teeth fetish? Lloyd thought to himself. Even still he found his finger nails grinding into the palm of his fingers as his brown eyes stared down at Kat's sinister expression. Adrian's interference only continued to anger the guitarist, and the initial surprise of Katherine had already snapped him out of his tipsy. For sure he'd approach his fuckboy band-mate later, but for now Katherine Sinclaire was his problem.

Lloyd pushed forward in only a couple strong strides. He wasn't necessarily thinking of what to do, but Lloyd found himself clasping Katherine's arm tight. Without a care in the world for the drink in her hand, or those surrounding them, Lloyd pulled Kat deeper into the venue. He wasn't necessarily gentle in how he did so, but Lloyd wasn't out to throw her at the wall or anything either.

"What in the actual fuck are you doing here, Kitty?!" Lloyd spat as they came to a more secluded area. "This-- this isn't how to do it. There's better ways you sick son of a-" Lloyd cut his own words short, and let out an exasperated sigh. His eyes diverted to the ceiling, a hand brushing up at the root of his hair. How did he forget what a chore Katherine Sinclaire was? She was the queen diva, a fiery character, and was stunning in everything she did. And gosh, was she already having her effect on him. This was what she wanted wasn't it?

Lloyd jerked his sights back towards Katherine, and bound closer to the ginger in one step. With her figure far shorter than him, he found himself staring down at her with crazy intent in his eyes. While counting out numbers in his head, Lloyd finally found himself able to muster out,

"What are you doing here?"

Oh god. Oh fuck. His wide blue eyes swept towards Leo and his stupid ass expression, looking dumbfounded at his own words. He blinked as if he'd been slapped- and he did. By the overwhelming stupidity of his best bro- which prompted him to lift the crystal clear glass of bubbly back up to his full lips, raising his brows and wrinkling his forehead, nodding in agreement at the comment. "You do have a lovely set of tusks on ya." He commented and then nudged Leo with his elbow, unable to stop giggling now at this point. It was too late- they were doomed.

His eyes flashed dangerously at Adrian. What the ever-loving fuck are you doing, dumbass? He thought to himself and frowned, and he looked at Leo and exhaled shakily. But before they could depart, Lloyd already had, and his blonde brows rose up and looked between Adrian and Leo, and then opened up his jacket again. "Ya'll down?" He asked. The man wasn't even going to address the whole situation that just went down.

"is this a dream?"

Rosalind Hepburn was a deer, stuck staring at the beaming headlights of a car approaching way too fast. And that car just happened to be Ophelia, and even though Ophelia was not approaching her, Rosalind suddenly felt like they were the only two in the ballroom despite it being filled with countless guests. Her mouth ran dry as she tried to regain focus of something—anything. Anything but the fact that Ophelia did not look happy to see her sister.

“He an ex or something?”

The words broke Rose out of the trance she was in and she glanced to the right, her hazel eyes settling on Isaac. As her gaze went back to Ophelia, her brows furrowed in confusion until she realized her was talking about Felix, who was still standing next to Opie. A small, breathy laugh escaped from her lips and she quickly shook her head. “Oh, no, I don’t even know him,” Rosalind answered quickly as she once again brought the glass to her lips and took another sip. Slow it down, Rosie. You’re going way too fast and if you keep it up you’ll-

Isaac’s voice broke her chain of thoughts again and she turned her head, cocking it to the side gently as she studied him, trying to register the words coming out of his mouth. She could hear them but it was like she was just a second behind when it came to actually understanding them. Glancing down at the drink in her hand, a blush crept up onto Rosalind’s cheeks and she chewed down on her bottom lip, a bit embarrassed. “It helps with the nerves,” she admitted with a sheepish smile. And it did, Rosalind wasn’t much of a drinker but tonight was exception. Everything that was currently happening around her further proved her point.

Another blush crept onto Rosie’s cheeks, but this time for a different reason. It wasn’t like she had never received a compliment before—she had, more than she could count. But this was different, and maybe it was the alcohol, but she suddenly found herself studying Isaac’s face. Saying that he was attractive was an understatement, but instead of focusing on his features, like his angular face and full lips, she found herself drawn to his almond shaped eyes. They were warm and inviting and the longer she stared, the faster her heart beat. It was a new feeling for her, yet strangely inviting, and it was much easier to blame on the alcohol than to actually think to deeply about at, especially when she felt like there was just so much happening.

She glanced down as his elbow brushed hers, just momentarily, and then she repositioned her elbow ever so slightly so that her elbow was resting next to his, her bare forearm gently pressed against his jacketed one. “That’s my sister,” Rosalina blurted out, surprised at herself with her suddenly shift of mood. Normally, she would have pretended like everything was okay, or as if nothing had even happened. But this was years and years of pent up frustration and words left unsaid and it was finally starting to tear at Rosalind. She had hope for her and Ophelia, hope that there was more to them than just blood. But that hope was starting dwindle. Rose’s eyes flickered over at Ophelia once more. “Half sister,” Rosie corrected, wincing as the words came out of her mouth. Half, full, it didn’t matter. Ophelia was her sister.

As her eyes settled on Ophelia once more, the sinking feeling returned. It was like the ballroom was flooding. Rose was drowning and the more she tried to open her mouth to scream for help, the more her lungs filled with water. Ophelia was full on glaring at her now and Rosie watched as she bared her teeth in what looked like a snarl before she whipped around and stormed away, into the bathroom.

A single breath escaped Rose’s lips and she stood there, dumbfounded. Did Ophelia truly hate her that much? Rosalind tried to think of all the things she could have done that made Ophelia quite literally run from the sight of her, but not one of those reasons included Isaac. She was oblivious to the history Isaac and Ophelia shared, and at that moment, Rosalind felt like she had done something very, very wrong.

She shouldn’t have come today. She shouldn’t have signed with Stardom. She should have stayed in New York, away from her family, and away from Ophelia. It was what the latter preferred, anyways. She should have never started singing again and in that moment, Rosalind despised her very own existence, down to the core. “She hates me,” Rosalind said out loud, not to anyone in particular. It was more as if she were confirming it out loud, and the realization made her sick.

Rosalind set her drink down and wrapped her arms around her waist, seeming to shrink into herself as she hugged her body. She lowered her head, letting her dark hair fall around her like a black veil of sorts, protecting herself. It hit her expression—broken and defeated. Swallowing she glanced up at the bathroom door, torn in a conflict between her heart and her mind. She wanted to run after Ophelia, beg her to please just give her a chance. It was like Ophelia had her mind made up about Rosie before even giving her the chance to actually fuck things up. If Rosalind had made a mistake in the past, it would have justified the way Ophelia felt towards her, but Rosalind had spent her entire life trying to reach out to Opie and build a relationship. Maybe that was it, maybe that was why Ophelia was mad. You just never know when to fucking give up, do you? The words taunted her, echoing in her mind.

Glancing at Isaac again, a new wave of humiliation fell over her as she realized he had witnessed the entire thing and Rosalind wanted nothing more than for the ground to open up and swallow her whole. Swallow her whole and spirit her away, far away, from the people around her and most importantly, Ophelia. “I’m sorry…” she began, her voice was low and it trembled just slightly. But Rosalind would not cry—no, she would not do that. Not here at least.

“You probably think I’m crazy or something,” Rosalind said, the apology still evident in her tone. She was humiliated and embarrassed—what did it look like to other people? He probably thought she was a shit sister who treated Ophelia awfully, it was the only valid explanation as to why Ophelia would have reacted that way.

Just as Isaac opened his mouth to respond, a voice rang out from behind him. Rose’s eyes flickered behind Isaac as a red haired female approached the duo, and then they flickered back to her glass. She suddenly felt stupid, as if she had fallen into a trap that Isaac had laid for her, and her guard instantly went back up. Her fingers wrapped around her glass, turning it slowly. The cold, wetness of the glass was comforting, in a way. It was as if her skin was on fire and the only thing that could cease the flames was the icey condensation that had formed on her glass of whiskey. Rosie blinked once, and then twice, before she raised the glass to her lips and took a slow, long sip. Her mind wandered off in fifteen hundred different directions, each thought more unreasonable than the previous. Surely he wasn’t just talking to her because he felt bad for her, but she couldn’t help but feel that was the case.

Nonetheless, Rose peeked at the red haired girl from behind her veil of dark curls and smiled softly, slightly scared to speak. "Hi, I'm Rosalind~" she managed out, once the red haired girl had finally noticed her.

Out of place. Rosie felt so out of place.

dakota prince

At the sound of Isla's voice, Dakota's ears perked up while her body slowly turned to face her. "I should be saying that about you" she retorted, her eyes snaking up and down her outfit to get a good look a it. "I have the hottest guardian angel, might I add" she continued, raising her glass to sip at the glass that once held champagne inside. A pout made it's way on her face when she realized the contents of the glass were gone, but that didn't last long. A man in a black tuxedo was about to to pass them by alongside a tray with glasses of champagne and Dakota couldn't let that happen.

Grasping lightly on his shoulder Dakota apologized for stopping him, making her need for a glass of champagne sound more dire than it was. The theatrics were unnecessary but she got her drink, while her fingers lightly grazed over his shoulder with an all too familiar look on her face. Lust. When he announced his departure and started on his way, Dakota bit her lip while sizing him up. All it earned her was a laugh and a wink from the man as he left the two women to continue his job. At his departure Dakota lightly sighed, turning back to Isla who held a knowing smirk on her face, but Dakota didn't feel the slightest bit embarrassed. A gala as beautiful and fancy as this couldn't stop her inner hoe from manifesting, and Lord knows she wasn't going to be sleeping alone tonight. Instead of trying to defend her actions Dakota just laughed it off, sipping at her sparkling wine and with faux innocence said, "I didn't do anything".

Sadly, her bladder yearned for her to go to the washroom, and it was a very persistent caller. "Crap, I gotta use the washroom. Don't miss me too much, I'll meet up with you later...or call" she said over the loud chatter to Isla. She packaged the sentence with a wink and started on her way. The 23 year old hurriedly made her way to the bar that Cade, Isaac, and Rosalind had went to, quickly dropping her glass on the bar counter. Her eyes caught wind of Mark Gordon chatting it up with Cade, a man who she had briefly met at an award show, but small talk wasn't on her list of needs right now. Waves and short hi's were the only thing people who attempted to strike a conversation with the dark skinned woman would receive in response. Her mind was in overdrive in search of a washroom, and she almost sprinted when she spotted the washroom from afar. Moving as fast her heels and short legs would allow her, Dakota made her way to the washroom and humphed in triumph when she finally got to a stall.

As she washed her hands, her movements faltered for a second at the sound of someone regurgitating in one of the washroom stalls. She hadn't seen anyone enter after her so whoever it was must have already been in here before. It amazed Dakota at how focused she must've been on easing herself, that she hadn't heard the sound of retching. Rinsing her hands dry of soap she opted for paper towels instead of the electric hand dryer mounted on the wall, quickly discarding them in the garbage once she was done. The hand lotion provided at the sinks would have to suffice for Dakota, and after applying them on her small hands she started peaking in the open stalls to find who was puking into a toilet bowl.

Her eyes caught someone kneeling down on the floor hunched over the toilet, and Dakota made her way to that stall in belief that whoever was vomiting was in there. Pushing the half opened door fully open Dakota was met with a brunette on the bathroom floor, hunched over the toilet that now had a green substance inside of it. She cringed at the sight of the vomit but pushed her distaste to the back of her head, moving further into the stall. Invasion of privacy probably should've been something that crossed Dakota's mind, but thinking before acting wasn't really her thing and there was no going back now. "Hey, are you okay" she whispered, kneeling down beside the woman and pulling her hair back. Dakota mentally face palmed herself at her question, obviously she wasn't okay if she was puking her guts into a toilet. "Shit, that was so stupid to ask, my bad. Do you...do you need me to call someone or do you need talk to someone?" she tried again, beating herself up in her mind at her attempt to comfort her. Clearly this wasn't her forte, but she hoped the woman at least appreciated the thought because formulating the right words presented to be an issue today.

Interactions: Isla ( Idyllia Idyllia ), Ophelia ( dendygar dendygar )

Felix Steven Tyler.
"trying to be better"

Felix’s attention diverted from Ophelia as he felt a force crash into the pair, and his arm automatically went around Ophelia’s waist, steadying her. He had not even noticed Ophelia’s hand fall out of his. No, he was far more concerned with the girl who had quite literally, knocked him off of his feet. Felix’s blue eyes widened for a moment, and then returned to normal size, as he looked at the girl in front of him. Instantly, he recognized her as Kiana Carter.

Now to say Felix had a minor crush was an understatement. Kiana had ta type of beauty and charm to her that instantly caught Felix’s eyes when she first entered the music industry, and seeing her tonight was more than just a pleasant surprise. Sticking his hand out, he grinned. “Felix Stevens,” he introduced, giving her hand a gentle shake. Her skin felt cool, and pearly soft to the touch.

His eyes darted back to the doors she had entered from and he immediately felt for her, Felix hated the cameras so whenever they were around he pretended they simply….weren’t. “I feel you, they’re so fucking annoying with that clicky clicky shit, and it’s like damn, do you really have to use such a bright flash?” Felix responded, agreeing with Kiana’s disdain towards the paparazzi.

Smirking, he raised an eyebrow at Kiana, completely oblivious that Ophelia was currently staring at Rosalind Hepburn and practically falling apart by his side. “But honestly, they were definitely going crazy over you. Who wouldn’t?” Felix said with a wink. Leave it to Felix Stevens to flirt with another girl when the love of his life was standing besides him. But his relationship, or lack thereof, was a complicated one and if Ophelia had been paying attention, she would have most definitely egged the flirting on.

As his thoughts drifted back to Ophelia, he glanced over, wondering why the brunette, doe eyed girl was so silent. And then he saw her face, scrunched up and absolutely seething with anger. He hadn’t see her that angry since he flushed her drugs down the toilet, that one time. His eyes trailed the direction of Ophelia’s wrath and they settled on Rosalind Hepburn. He glanced at the guy standing next to her and offered a friendly nod, recognizing him as Isaac Wilde.

Looking back at Ophelia, he opened his mouth to ask if she was okay but she was gone, out of sight before he could get the words out. Looking over at Kiana, he smiled apologetically. “I’m sorry,“ Felix paused and gave her a one over. She was absolutely stunning, even more so in person. “I’ll be right back.” Oh, he would definitely be back. Turning on his heels, Felix raked a hand through his hair and jogged after Ophelia, weaving in and out of the sea of people. It reminded him of LA traffic, and Felix hated LA traffic.

As he reached the ladies restroom, Felix paused, wondering if he should go in. It was the ladies fucking restroom. Groaning, he glanced around before he quickly opened the door and shut it behind him, wincing as he heard the sound of another female's voice that was not Ophelia's. But that did not stop him.

The smell of vomit hit Felix’s nose, followed by the sound of gagging. Felix narrowed his eyes, his insides growing hot. Ophelia was upset—that was enough to get his blood boiling. Making his way to the stall she was in, he gently pushed on it, glad to see that she had not locked it properly. His eyes fell on Opie, leaned over the toiled, trembling as she continued to vomit. She was a wreck, but, she was his wreck. His eyes glanced over to another one, who he immediately recognized as Dakota Prince. He offered her a smile before he gently maneuvered his way past her. "I got this," he said gently.

Felix approached Ophelia's side, gently sweeping her long dark hair into his hands, holding it away from her face as she emptied the contents of her stomach into the toilet. His free hand gently rubbed her back, patting it as she got the last of the vomit out. “See Opal, this is why we don’t get tomatoes on our sandwiches,” he teased lightly. The last thing Ophelia needed was for Felix to ask her what was wrong. She would tell him when she was ready.

As Ophelia straightened up, he took her hand and tugged her away from the stall before he wrapped his arms around her in a hug. Pulling back, he tipped her chin up and gave her a stern look, the kind he gave Addison when she cried about visiting her mother. “Listen, you don’t have to explain anything to me. But I need you to understand one thing,” Felix began, twirling Ophelia around so she was looking in the mirror with him standing behind her, his hands on her shoulders. “You are the most radiant, funny, and confident person in this ballroom tonight, okay?” Felix murmured quietly as he brushed her hair away from her face, soothing the strands down and into place.

“Nobody can ever match your personality—they don’t even have half the depth. You own this shit. You’re Ophelia fucking Hepburn, and you’re the baddest bitch tonight. And you’re my best friend. You got me fucked up if you think I’m going to let anyone say anything to you, ya heard?” Felix finished, smiling with triumph at his mini speech. With that, he spun Ophelia back around and tipped her chin up. He met her eyes briefly, as if he was asking ‘is this okay?’ before he crushed their lips together, not caring that she had just thrown up. He didn't even care that Dakota Prince was standing right there. At that moment, Felix just wanted Ophelia to know that even if no one else didn't, he cared. He always would.

The kiss was sweet and short, a reminder that no matter what happened or where they stood, Ophelia would always have him. Pulling back, he squeezed her hand gently before he leaned forward and placed a kiss on her head. This was usually when she would open up and tell him what was wrong. Glancing at Dakota, raked a hand through his hair. "I swear I don't just go around barging into the ladies room, I came after her." He quickly explained.

Kat could see all the emotions swirling behind Lloyd's baby blue eyes. The anger mixed with a bit of shock was just what she was aiming for when she showed up unannounced. Her own chocolate gaze shifted to Adrian when he reached out and took her hand in his own, twirling her as if to get a good look at her. Of course, this only boosted Kat's already blooming ego which was just one of the reasons she enjoyed Adrian's company. She smirked when he kissed her hand and gave a playful wink in his direction. "Charming as ever, Adrian. I never do tire of hearing you speak my name in that accent of yours," she knew that they were dancing on a thin line. Flirting with one of Lloyds bandmates in front of him was a dangerous move and while she was sure Adrian meant no harm by it, being that was just his personality, she definitely had her own motives. She already had a rather flirtatious personality herself but when she had her mind set on screwing with Lloyd or making him jealous it only became increasingly bold.

At Leo and Link's words, her eyes rolled. It was like dealing with tweedle dee and tweedle dumb with those two and she never did understand how they all meshed together so well when they all seemed very different. "One would think that Bert and Ernie here would've learned a thing or two from you by now," she directed the comment at Adrian before turning her eyes back to the pair. "I didn't realize this was a charity event. Since when do they allow riff-raff into such lavish parties?" her tone changed a bit. She was about to throw out another snarky remark when Lloyd stepped closer to her, his grip on her arm would've been enough cause for a scene for any other girl but not Katherine. His touch only amplified her feelings as he pulled her away from his friends as quickly as she'd arrived. His dominant way with her was surprisingly something she enjoyed. Most people were intimidated by her but not Lloyd or at least if he was he didn't show that.

"And here I assumed you'd be happy to see me. Don't tell me you haven't missed me?" she said, tilting her head slightly as he spoke. His use of her more uncommon nickname caught her off-guard for a second though it shouldn't have. After all, he was one of the few who actually called her by it. She kept the calm expression as he spat out words that would typically garner a reaction from her. Soon he realized that he was only fueling the fire she'd wanted to create and she could see the shift in his mood. He then stepped closer to her, his eyes finally meeting hers as he towered over her. "Haven't you heard? We were invited. Rising Phoenix is one of Stardom's new additions," she said matter-of-factly.

Katherine knocked back the drink in her hand that somehow hadn't spilled and set the empty glass on a nearby table. "Don't flatter yourself, lover. I didn't fly out to LA just to see you," she added, her devious smirk reappearing on her perfectly pouty lips as she allowed a hand to reach out and adjust the collar on his dress shirt. Most people didn't understand Kat and Lloyd's relationship and to be fair, it was quite the mess. They were like Chuck and Blair from Gossip Girl in real life. Not only were they on and off but they had this addiction to playing games like it was some sort of kink...maybe that was just her though. It was no wonder they were always in the press, they put on a hell of a show with their antics on social media and in public.

Through the bustle of chatter and the occasional brushing of arms, Isla was frozen in place, floored by Cade’s comment. “Yes, we definitely should collaborate on something!” Isla responded. She could not hold back her smile, as joy tugged on her cheeks. To Isla, receiving a compliment about her music meant more to her than anything in the world. She had adored music as a hobby her whole life, had developed her own sound through practice, and finally began to throw herself into making it her life’s work after her father’s death. Isla has one single that made it big enough to be featured in the Billboard 100, and she was extremely proud of herself for it. Her and Emma had even thrown a celebration with just them two, where they binge watched 80s and 90s romantic comedies together with boxed wine in hand.

She then turned her attention toward Rosalind, who had suggested getting margaritas. “Um yeah, of course!” Isla winked. “Although, I’m more of a mimosa girl.”

As Cade led Isaac and Rose toward the bar for more drinks, Isla smiled at Dakota. “A hot guardian angel, huh?” She laughed, watching as Dakota had her eyes trained on one of the many gorgeous men in tuxedos. Dakota was the same aphrodisiac woman as ever, and Isla adored her for it. Although Dakota constantly thanks Isla for saving her that night, becoming friends with Dakota allowed Isla to be free of her insecurities, as well as confident in herself and her music. It really is a collegial relationship.

Dakota had then rushed off to the bathroom which caused Isla to giggle and shake her head. She decided to head towards the bar where Cade, Isaac and Rose were standing with two people she seemed to recognize. One of them being the famous Tony Sonido, also known as Mark Gordan, and the other being one half of the Rising Phoenix duo. Although she did not always listen to the Top 40 radio, she did keep up with the most popular artists and knew that Tony Sonido had many charted songs. Additionally, Isla was really enjoyed the Rising Phoenix's girl group sound due to its R&B undertones. She was enthusiastic to know that she was under the same record label as these big names so that she can learn different perspectives on music creation.

Sifting through the crowds while tripping over her heels, Isla arrived at the bar among the captivating group of people. She ordered herself a cosmopolitan to calm her nerves without gagging, and turned to face the others.

“Hello,” Isla smiled shyly at the tall man with striking eyes and the other ruby-headed woman at the bar. “I’m Isla Duchesne, I guess we’re all working together now!”

Cade’s face visibly tensed at the formality of Mark calling her ‘Miss Adams’. Cade had never been one much for formalities even though she held herself as a woman who had been to many fancy parties and formal gatherings. She had grown up with backyard BBQs and movie nights with her dads and their friends, not galas and board meetings. Even wearing fancy clothing made her feel slightly out of her element.

“Please, call me Cade. Ms Adams, Cadence, they’re both so… Formal.” Cade sighed with a dramatic fake shudder, taking another long swig of her drink.
Mark’s next movement caught her off guard, though she instantly played into it. Men often took her hand and kissed it, the gesture had become somewhat common. Normally, Cade may have found it unsettling, as she often did. But from Mark, it seemed genuine and endearing. A soft smile played on her glossed lips as she watched him, keeping eye contact once he raised his head.

“Well, aren’t you just the gentleman?” Cade teased, scrunching up her nose playfully. He seemed nervous in a way, perhaps more uncertain than nervous. Cade couldn’t understand why, the man practically reeked of elegance and poise. The suit, the smile, the posture, everything seemed to be calculated and maintained, like a dancer on show. Naturally, Cade was quite surprised when he admitted that he hadn’t been to many galas.

“With the way you look, I’m surprised you’re not a regular at these things,” Cade said, lacing her fingers together around her crystal glass. “I honestly thought that you were some businessman or something until we came over and I got a better look at your face. I was prepared to give you the whole charming speech and everything! God, I hate networking.”

Cade took another sip of her drink as she leaned back further onto the counter. She had been at the gala for all but half an hour and her heels were already sending sharp pains up her calf. She never quite understood the point of heels. Sure they made her legs look amazing but were they really worth all the pain? She could practically hear her stylists scolding her for her informalities but Cade really didn’t care so in one swift movement, Cade wiggled one foot and then the other loose from her heels, stepping out barefoot onto the ground. Immediate relief flooded her legs as she reached into her bag to grab her foldable ballet flats.

“That is so much better,” Cade sighed with a grin, gently pulling on the black flats. “High heels are like little torture devices, they’re so impractical”

Once she pulled her shoes on, Cade looked back to Mark. Well, more like up at Mark. Nearly all of Cade’s friends in the industry towered well over her, there were few people that matched Cade’s height. But Mark was next level. As he stood there, Cade almost felt like a child and instantly burst out laughing.

“I just realized how tall you are, holy shit!” She laughed, almost craning her neck to look up at him. “Or maybe I’m just now realizing how small I am? Or maybe both, who knows.”

Cade took another swig of the whiskey, her fingertips tracing the crystal canyons on the edge of the glass. Was she talking too much? Probably. But at least her endless chatter was better than awkward silence, though she wasn’t entirely sure if such a party could even be silent.

“So, how does it feel to be a part of Stardom? I’m surprised you weren’t asked earlier, you are insanely talented. Like three songs in the top twenty? That is seriously amazing!” Cade chirped, smiling warmly as she spoke. She watched his expressions closely, wondering if her speaking to him was making him more or less nervous. Mark seemed to be a hard man for her to read. “It's so nice meeting all of you newbies, I’m so excited to see what everyone brings to the table! The heads really picked some amazing artists this year, they’ve really outdone themselves. The pure amount of talent in this room is simply incredible!”

Realizing she had been droning on, Cade’s cheeks flushed slightly. “Also, I’m sorry if I’m talking so much, it's sort of a bad habit of mine. I just meet new people and I just get talking and I don’t stop!” Cade realized that she had continued speaking and her face flushed even darker as she softly laughed. “Shit, I’m doing it again, aren’t I?”

The longer Cade stood there looking up at Mark, the more uncertain she felt. Where was the confidence and bravado she had been boasting moments earlier? She wasn’t uncomfortable, not by any means. She just simply wasn’t sure what had gotten into her. Luckily, Isla came along as a welcome distraction. Cade gave a warm smile as Isla made her way over, her nails gently tapping a soft rhythm on the side of her glass.

"We most certainly will be, welcome to the team!" Cade chirped. "I was just saying to Mark how incredible the new talent is, like you guys are truly amazing. It will be so refreshing to have some new sound in the studios. I love your music, by the way, your sound is absolutely amazing. You're totally one of the new artists that I would love to work with."

Lloyd was taken aback by Katherine's words. He could feel his left eye twitch as she'd said it. "...Rising Phoenix is one of Stardom's new additions." Whether he liked it or not he was going to be seeing a whole lot more of Katherine Sinclaire. "Bloody hell, you could've told me that before. Saved the awkwardness for somewhere else? But of course you always do what you want."

Lloyd brought his arms up over his chest, crossing them as Katherine continued on. Lloyd piqued a brow at what Katherine had said next. His eyes thinned down at her glossy red lips, before finally quavering slightly. "You... You didn't fly out here just to see me. But that was part of the reason?" Lloyd stammered. He fought the urge to smile, to pull her into a strong embrace, but in the years he'd known Katherine he'd become well aware of her mind games. He hadn't necessarily been the most difficult target either, but he'd learned a thing or two. While the love for his Kitty was always going to be present-- the trust and toxicity, that only seemed to go hand in hand too.

"I apologize for dragging you out here. If you'd just told me earlier I wouldn't have been so surprised." Lloyd huffed. "And kill the smirk it's freaking me out." At that Lloyd grinned mischievously at the tease, and let out a short sigh. What was he going to do now?

Isaac took another sip of his champagne, and found himself studying Rosalind more and more as they spoke. He enjoyed the feeling of her untense at his words, and himself doing the same when she mentioned she didn't know the platinum-haired man. No boyfriend, check. Isaac thought to himself. He nodded at her words concerning the whiskey, though even that had been more of a joke than anything. His mother drank wine following stressful days from work, and it was obvious that she had something pent up that the alcohol could help deal with. "I'm just pulling your legs, chill." Isaac dismissed it with a smile at Rose, before turning his sights back ahead.

There was still a sense of discomfort about Rosie as she spoke further on the topic, and with the other man eliminated, Ophelia seemed to be the only other variable left unchecked. Isaac felt his teeth grinding harder against one another at the thought of some sort of bad blood unraveling between this new girl and... the woman who'd been more than just an "old friend" all those years ago. With his voice evidently more strained, and quieter than usual, Isaac asked, "So she's..?" He hadn't been quite sure what answer he was expecting to hear-- or what would've been the best answer to receive, but nothing could've braced him for what he'd heard next. He had a double take, and coughed on the sip of Champagne at Rosalind's words. Full-sister, half-sister, it didn't matter. Rose and Ophelia were bound by blood... what were the odds they'd have both ended up here at Stardom? And both oh, so appealing to the eyes of Isaac Wilde. He gulped at the drink, and sighed, it didn't take a genius to put together why there was so much disdain in Rosalind's words concerning her sister.

"I'm sorry..." Isaac apologized. While matching Rosalind's gaze though, his fear had come to pass. In the distance, with all the others present at the scene disappearing from his view, he found Ophelia's death stare daunting as it shot out at Rose. She wasn't at fault-- whatever misconception Ophelia had about he and Rosalind, it wasn't true. At least not yet. Aw, what am I getting into? Isaac asked himself, but couldn't help bouncing his sights between Ophelia and Rosalind.

In a split second Ophelia was gone, and fled towards the washroom. Isaac's heart dropped at the sight, and his eyes couldn't help but follow Ophelia as she disappeared into the crowd. It'd been almost two years since he'd seen Opie last, and even now he could feel their unresolved feelings rising to the surface. Isaac couldn't imagine the shock-- betrayal she may have been feeling right now, but still he found himself frozen in place. Part of him couldn't believe the fact that what'd just occurred, had really happened.

At the sound of Rosie's words in the background, Isaac found himself broken from his frozen place. While he wasn't aware of the entire story, the look in Rosalind's eyes only said it all. He could feel even just her gaze burning into him when she'd called herself crazy. "You're not. I promise you, you're not." In that moment Isaac wanted nothing but to embrace this stranger, to hold her tight and make her feel sane again. Rosalind didn't deserve any of this, and Ophelia might've misconstrued seeing her former interest with an... estranged sister? That part was still unclear to him. "This is my fault-..." Isaac started, but just as soon as he'd spoken his words were interrupted by another, more bubbly tone.

Don't mistake Isaac, he loved Bibi with all his heart. After his mother, Bianca Sinclaire was high-up in the short list of women Isaac truly loved. Still, Bibi's bubbly personality parallel to Isaac was bound to get them in trouble, especially now.

"Not much when it's you, Bibi." Isaac returned a warm smile. "My fault I should've tracked you down." With his free arm, Isaac extended it around Bianca's waist, and drew her into a short but sweet side hug.

With a glance to his side at Rosalind, Isaac could still tense the unresolved matters eating away at Rose. He wasn't quite an expert on Rosalind Hepburn 101, but he could tell by their previous interactions that she was a girl with her heart in the right place. The events earlier were unfortunate-- and Isaac himself would've had no other way of dealing with it besides calling his mom. But with Bianca's arrival, and the ball progressing around them, it instantly woke Isaac up to their reality. Rose couldn't sulk for the rest of the party, and Bianca definitely had stellar vibes that they could match,

Perhaps it was uncalled for, embarrassing, and had a huge possibility of backfiring, Isaac followed his gut with his next action. He swung his arm gently over the shoulder of Rosalind at his side, his usual wild, and happy smile resurfacing once again. "She's my date." Isaac added to Rosalind's introduction. At his words, he shared a quick glance in the direction of Rose, before turning back to Bianca. While internally his heart was beating at a thousand beats a second, Isaac forced himself to keep his cool and progress through the night. A part of him thought of what he was doing as looking out for someone having a bad day, but another part of him wandered if he really did want a date with Rosalind. No-- that was a bad idea. Especially with Ophelia around.

"She's a dime, huh?" Isaac distracted himself with his own words. He found himself sipping more and more of his champagne now, perhaps it eased his nerves. "She's nothing less than a hunnid' to me though." This time his glance at Rose lingered... he didn't hide the emotion in his voice as he spoke, and even found himself tightening his grip around her.

Sadly drinks would have to wait as Monica noticed Ophelia dash towards the ladies room after holding her stomach. She of course saw Felix also go after her and knew something was definitely wrong now. She wished she could explain or say something else to the girl, so she wouldn't mistakenly think it had something to do with her, but she figured she could save that for after she actually knew what was going on. She then looked up at Zephyr, "I'm sorry I should go check on her. I promise I'll make it up to you." She flashed an apologetic smile hoping he'd understand. Great job Monica first you're rude, then you ditch him, no wonder you don't have many friends. She made her way to the ladies room trying to look casual so no additional eyes landed on them, and kinda hoped whatever drama Kat was sure to be in would be much more appealing for a second. Though she kind of also wished if it is she could see it before it hit the tabloids or social media. Regardless being there for one friend would make up for ditching another, and missing out on the show.

Once inside Monica didn't understand what in the world was actually happening even more so then before. On the one hand there was Dakota which pleasantly surprised her, but on the other Ophelia was in the stall and Felix kissed her...like on the lips. Ophelia looked like she'd just puked...she hoped she didn't just puke because while the kiss was sweet...it's also a little gross. Not that it even matters in the grand scheme of things she supposed. Just weird. Thankfully her body didn't betray her thoughts as she smiled at Dakota, "Didn't think this was where I'd meet up with you next." She chuckled slightly before bending down towards Ophelia placing a hand on Felix's shoulder, "Hey bud. No offense, but I can take it from here. Don't worry." She urged him.

She looked between Kota and Felix, "Not to mention if you stay in here too long, or walk out with us, it's gonna draw a lot of attention. A couple of girls walking out the ladies room is fine, but you will add people asking questions and no one wants to deal with that, sick or sober. I'll text you if we need something." She didn't care about bad publicity, but she also had no idea what was wrong with Ophelia yet. Was she sick? Was it some sort of sensory overload that triggered her gag reflex? Honestly it could be any number of things but a bunch of people bombarding them with questions once they get out is not the answer to any of them. It was the art of fame she found really annoying, which perhaps was a bit hypocritical since she's definitely been using it to her advantage up until now in this point in her career, and keeping up with her ex. Here and now though it would just be irritating.

She looked back at Ophelia placing her hand gently on her back, letting her know she had her full attention, "Do you still feel sick, or do you think you've got it all out already?" She wanted to first check and see how sick she felt because if it was a one time thing they can freshen her up a bit and get her outta here to get some water in her system, maybe some food too. However if she was still majorly sick she might have to ask Dakota to grab some water or food for her and possibly some ice. She waited till Felix was gone before continuing, "What happened?" She asked softly towards her. It was hard to help with zero information after all.

keep your head
Ophelia had really thought she was alone there in the bathroom, but she was so wrong. Dakota Prince was in there with her, and she'd been so sick that she didn't even think anyone else was in there. The girl began to speak, and her voice was so soothing and angelic that she could have wept. But before Ophelia could answer, she got possessed by another cramp and threw up the final bits of stomach contents into the porcelain throne. Felix's smell made her instantly relax, her heart beat pounding in her ears and her eyes feeling her heartbeat as well. The only thing she could think of to say when Felix commented about her disdain for tomatoes was, "Tomatoes give me heartburn." I mean- they did.

He helped her up and she walked over to the mirror, washing out her mouth before Felix gazed at their reflections. He leaned down and spoke softly to her, and Ophelia felt so small. The lighting was cold and it washed out her skin and made it look blotchy again, their voices echoing and the smell of sweet chemicals wafted through the air. She hiccuped and sniffled slightly, trying to press her index fingers against her tear ducts to easily get them on her fingers and not running down her face.

A deep, menacing frown had settled onto her strong features, until Felix said, "... ya heard?" Ophelia cracked a chuckle at that and nodded. The tall blonde lifted her up and spun the brunette around, gently putting her back on the floor. At his puppy-dog eyes, she crinkled her nose and he got the message. His lips always were like a drug, worse than coke. Way worse than coke. Coming back to reality when he pulled away, she turned and looked at Dakota and began to blush bright red from neck to ears. It wasn't just her cheeks, it was all the way up red. "This is fucking weird. Uh," She exhaled with relief when Monica walked in.

After Felix got shooed out, Opie sent him a look reading, "Love ya." She leaned back against the sink as soon as the doors had closed, feeling like they were three middle-school girls at their first dance and just one of them had to get food poisoning on their date- never mind. A laugh escaped her and she shook her head, surprised with herself. "Wow, it's just uh," Ophelia began and lightly bobbed her head. "I never knew how much I hated some corny ass bitches in this industry." Her face turned to one of wild disgust, looking almost comical as the looked between the two with a Kubrick stare.

You have nice teeth. Who the hell compliments someone offhandedly about their teeth? Adrian looked over to Leo with disbelief, wondering how his bandmate hadn’t learned a single thing about talking to women from him or Lloyd or even Link for that matter. He decided that one of those days, he was going to teach poor hopeless Leo how to actually talk to girls, seeing as he certainly needed the help.

The tension in the group only rose as Adrian moved to attempt to distract Kat. He could feel Lloyd’s eyes burning holes into his back, making him weary of each move. Was he crossing a line? Probably. Was he going to get yelled at later? Definitely. But Adrian assumed that his plan had worked as he watched Lloyd’s expressions and stances change, the appearance of Kat seeming to have instantly sobered him up.

Adrian couldn’t help but laugh at Kat’s ingenious Bert and Ernie comment. Adrian really wasn’t making the whole situation easy on himself, seeing as he had actively pissed off one bandmate and passively laughed at the teasing towards the other two. But how could he resist the opportunity, it was just so easy.

Before anyone had a chance to speak to him, Lloyd was dragging Kat away from the group, leaving Adrian, Leo, and Link alone by the entrance.

“Well, let’s just hope Kat doesn’t mess him up too bad. We’re going to need him tonight.” He pointed out, adjusting his stance. At Link’s offer, Adrian shook his head. He had never been one much for smoking weed, not as much as Leo and Link anyhow.

“You two go on ahead, just don’t get completely out of it. I’m going to go shake some hands.” Adrian said, walking past the two men without waiting to hear their response. He made sure to channel it all as he walked: the confidence, the poise, the elegance. Heads slowly turned but Adrian paid no mind, making his way over to the bar and sliding onto one of the stools.

“Rum and coke, please.” He asked, trying to ignore the large group gathered on his left.

He recognized some of them as artists for Stardom, some of them old and some of them new. He wasn’t much in the mood for schmoozing. As far as Adrian was concerned, everyone else besides him and the band were competition. There was no place for success if everyone concerned themselves with friendships and relationships, they only head to heartache and pain. Perhaps that’s why Adrian avoided commitment like the plague, why every time he met someone knew he simply played the field without seriousness. It was just easier that way.

The bartender slid his glass across the table and Adrian nodded a thanks, taking a sip of the drink. It was calming in a way, the taste the only familiar thing in the room. He needed a moment to think, to breathe, and that’s exactly what he was going to do.

Kiana Carter

Kiana couldn't believe that she had only arrived ten minutes ago and somehow already made a complete fool of herself by bumping into two musicians who were clearly more talented than she was. Her eyes flickered between the pair as she studied them but Felix's distinct voice broke her from her trance, causing her eyes to dart back to him. When he held his hand out to shake hers she felt even more nervous, his introduction sweet but unneeded as she already knew who he was. He put her more at ease when he agreed with her about the paparazzi and she let out a breath she didn't realize she'd been holding in. "Exactly! They clearly don't understand personal space. I think I nearly went blind," she let a short laugh escape her lips.

"I'm Kiana," she said, her eyes moving back to the tall brunette who hadn't said a single word to her. Had she not seen her? I mean, it was hard to miss someone when they ran straight into you. Maybe she was upset...or distracted. She wondered if she had interrupted a fight since she'd heard of Felix and Ophelia's on and off relationship. His next words made it seem like they were definitely off though, or at least she hoped since he was practically flirting with her in front of the girl. Luckily she didn't have to think up how to reply to his compliment right away. He seemed to finally notice Ophelia's mood change when she abruptly left and he quickly excused himself to follow after her.

Did she just dodge a bullet or miss an opportunity? She felt an odd mixture of relief and disappointment as he rushed off. After collecting herself she made her way to one of the nearby bars, she needed something to take the edge off because her first conversation here hadn't seemed to go well. Where the hell was Isaac when she needed him? "Can I please get a shot of Patron? Thank you," she told the bartender before scanning the room again. Maybe she would find someone she knew well enough to talk to or she could always just stay at the bar and drink the night away, hoping to go unnoticed so that she wouldn't further embarrass herself.

"trying to be better"

As a small, manicured hand shot out to Felix’s shoulder, he felt himself immediately relax. Monica’s arrival was a pleasant one, and Felix’s job was done. Ophelia was good—and he knew she was not going to break down or go into a rage when he walked out. She’d be strong for the most part—she always was, even when she thought that she wasn’t.

Felix stepped away from Ophelia, putting some distance between the pair. He really wanted to just toss her over his shoulder and leave, but tonight was business and the two both needed to stay, so that meant he needed to get the fuck out of the ladies’ restroom.

“Yeah no, totally, y’all got it,” Felix said quickly, looking at Ophelia and raising his fist to hers so she could bump it against his in response. It was his and Addison’s signature salutation, and also something that had grown onto Ophelia as well since she had been such a constant pillar in his life for the past two years. “She’s precious cargo Monica, I’ll see ya at out there,” Felix said, dapping Monica up since he didn’t really know what else to do. This was so fucking weird, Opie was right. Felix turned to Dakota and he swallowed as the lightest tints of red flushed his cheek.

Was Felix Stevens embarrassed? Just a little. “Again, I’m sorry for barging in here, that’s really not my thing but I do look forward to meeting you out there!” Felix said, stepping away from the girls and towards the door. Shaking his head at himself, he opened the door and quickly stepped outside, shutting it behind him and smoothing down his jacket. He was trying to look as inconspicuous as possible. Glancing around, Felix was impressed to see that no one had seen him exit the ladies room, until a voice rang out to the right of him.

“Felix Stevens!!” The voice interrupted Felix’s thoughts, bringing him back to the reality of how important tonight was for him, and Ophelia. It was one his father’s partners in the music industry, but not someone who Felix really needed to be on the lookout for tonight. After exchanging hellos, and making the man laugh, Felix was on his way to the bar.

As he neared the bar, Felix’s eyes fell on Kiana Carter, and a smile formed on his lips as he realized she was standing alone. That only meant she had room for more company. “See, I told you I’d be right back,” Felix said casually as he came up beside her. Standing at 6’4, he was taller than most people in the banquet hall—save a select few, so naturally, he had to look down at her when spoke. But it certainly gave him a better few of her face, which Felix did not mind. After all, things with Ophelia were complicated at the moment and she did have her habit of making out with different girls when they were on a break.

It wouldn’t hurt if he flirted with one now, and it definitely helped that this was someone who had caught Felix’s eye long before the gala. Glancing around, he caught Zephyr Walker's eye and waved him over, unsure how long the girls would be in the bathroom for. Pulling out his bottle of Don Julio for later, Felix waved the bar tender down. “Yoo, what up man, can I get a line of shots for the bar? And lime, salt, and sugar too.” Felix said, glancing at the others down the bar. He could see Isaac Wilde, Rosalind—who he was very curious on meeting, Cadence Adams—whom he immediately recognized, another platinum haired male who he swore was from Uncaged Bandits, a brunette haired beauty, another fiery red haired girl--who was added to the list of insanely hot people present tonight, and that popular new male singer that went by Tony that all the ladies seemed to love.

Felix turned to the bartender and handed over a couple hundred dollar bills, which was probably well over the total bill—not that Felix cared, he was just trying to fix the vibe. Even if Ophelia’s night started bad, it didn’t mean it had to stay bitter. Besides, he doubted anyone would have the courage to say anything to her when he was around.

Glancing over at Kiana, he nodded to the shot the bartender poured for her, then Felix, and then the rest of the bar, which consisted of Rose, Isaac, Bianca, Adrian, Isla, Cade, and Mark. “Bottoms up,” Felix said with a wink, raising his shot to the air, clinking it with hers, then downing it. He followed it with salt and lime, not really much of a fan for sugar.

Turning to the rest of the bar, he raised his bottle of Don Julio as they took a shot with him. His eyes glanced back to the door momentarily, hoping everything was good with Ophelia. He'd return to her side when she was done doing her girl-thing with her girls, but for now, he'd have a little fun. Plus, meeting new people was never a bad thing in Felix's books.

"is this a dream?"

Rosalind Hepburn could not quite put her finger on it, but there was something awfully genuine about Isaac Wilde. His reassurance was more than comforting, and Rosalind found herself leaning into his side, after a brief hesitation, once he threw his arm around her shoulders and further introduced Rosie to the red haired beauty, now known as Bianca, as his date.

This certainly didn’t feel like some guy who was just infatuated and lust driven, his words had a sincere tone and she couldn’t help but feel as if he were doing her a favor by extending his kindness. A favor that Rosalind would gladly accept, especially after seeing there was already one person present who seemed to hate her.

A warm feeling settled in Rosalind’s stomach as Isaac flashed a smile and continued on, sipping his champagne in the process. His look was one of total ease and if he felt nervous, Rosalind would not have been able to tell.

That ease rubbed off on her and she leaned into his side further, playfully bumping her hip into his as he complimented her. Another blush colored her cheeks faintly, but this time she tried to hide it as she looked down and laughed while her dark hair fell around her and ever so slightly, onto him.

She couldn’t help but shake her head at how silly she felt, the alcohol was only enhancing this new, shy flirtation. And even though her heart was still racing and Ophelia’s disgusted face continued to flash in her mind again and again, Rosalind was glad for the distraction.

“You know, you’re pretty easy on the eyes too. Think we look good together?” She responded playfully, looking up to meet his eye with a small smile and an arched eyebrow. She leaned back slightly, but not so far that his arm fell from around her, as she pretended to give him a thorough once over. But she didn’t need to examine Isaac to know that he looked good—he was well dressed, polished, and had a charm to him that was rare these days.

“Unplanned matching? Or did ya just copy me?” Rosalind teased, smiling playfully. The two really could have passed for being each other’s dates, their shades of red were nothing less than a compliment to each other.

“Shots for the table!”

Rosalind looked over her shoulder, her smile faltering momentarily once she saw Felix Stevens. But he was alone- Ophelia was not with him, which was strangely reassuring for Rose. She wasn’t sure if she was ready to talk to Opie after what had just happened between the two of them, which Rosie still did not understand. She still could not figure out what she had done to warrant such a harsh reaction, but things with Ophelia was always confusing.

As the bartender lined up the shots, Rose glanced at Felix, a little unsure if she should take one. But his eyes seemed to be boring into hers, almost as if he were daring her, so she stepped forward and boldy took two of the shots, handing one to Bianca in the process.

“Bottoms up, habibi” Rosalind winked before she raised her shot glass to the table, and then brought it to her lips, tipping her head back as the alcohol smoothed its way down. There was no way in hell she was letting someone intimidate her, not after what had just happened. Her nose wrinkled slightly as the liquor burned the back of her throat.

Rosalind glanced at the bartender, sighing in relief as she saw that he was already handing her a water. Either he had been watching, or he was just damn good at his job. Either way, Rosalind was grateful. Taking the water, she took a few small sips to drown out the bitter taste of the tequila.

Yeah, it was an unsuccessful night with Ophelia, but Rosalind was suddenly glad to be surrounded by so many people—it was all so new for her. Her eyes drifted to Isaac as she returned to his side, focusing in on his smile. It was one of those heart stopping ones, the kind that made your insides feel soft and your mind at ease.

"My apologies Cade" Mark said to her response about being too formal "My parents taught me to be overly formal before being too informal". Mark could attribute most if not all of his formal persona to his parents. His father was a business executive and his mother was a politician, so Mark was always going to business and political events as a child. And with growing up in London until highschool, the expectation was to be as formal as possible. But Mark stopped going when he moved to New York, as he became too busy with school and his art activities to go to any of the events. But it seemed like he had not lost his touch. The kiss on her hand seemed to have the intended effect.

"A man must make a good first impression to any beautiful woman he may encounter" Mark said with a playful smile. "And I have to say, you most definitely fit that description". Mark then looked her up and down, analyzing her simple, yet provocative dress and her amazing heels "You look absolutely stunning in that outfit. I honestly thought that you were a movie star". Mark's confidence was finally starting to come back.

"Thank you Cade" Mark said while taking another sip of his whiskey "Trust me, if you saw how many saw how many outifts that I considered, you would laugh". Mark then giggled about her comments about businessman and networking. He didn't think that he put off that vibe, but it seemed like that it was not a bad thing. "Oh God no. I love my father, but I would never follow in his footsteps as a business man. I do enjoy networking though, but definitely not in places like this". Cade seemed pretty experienced in all of this stuff. She made it look so easy. It made him feel comfortable and even more confident. "I should certainly stick close to her" Mark thought to himself.

Mark eyes widened a bit as he witnessed Cade slip barefoot out of her heels and into some black ballet flats. He did not comment though, he only watched, taking another sip of his whiskey. Although he did not expect her to do such an informal thing, it obviously was a good thing for her. He saw instant relief in her expression the moment she took them off, and the ballet flats complimented her outfit just as well.

He blushed when Cade mentioned his height. People mentioned it a a lot, but usually did not mention it right off the bat in fear of being rude. Mark didn't mind though, as he had grown to accept it as part of who he was. His father had dutch heritage, and was almost as tall as him. "No, I would say that you hit the nail right on the head" Mark giggled "Although now I see what you mean. Normally I'm the tallest person in the room, but you seem to make me feel like the tallest person in the world" Mark then looked down at her. He thought her height was super cute. "Although, thats not necessarily a bad thing" he said, taking yet another sip of his whiskey.

"It feels amazing. I honestly had no idea that I would ever make it this far. It all started as an idea that I had before I would be going to university. Never I would I have imagined that any of my songs would be successful, especially any of them reaching the top 20". It had been a crazy 4 year journey for Mark. He went from recording his first song in his studio to preforming in stadiums in less than 2 years. It helped him realize that anything was possible and that the unexpected came about all the time. "I'm exited as well, and I certainly have to agree with you. There is so much talent here and I love it" Mark took another sip of whiskey, looking down deep into Cade's warm hazel eyes "I just hope I don't get lost in it all".

Mark just laughed when she started getting flustered about speaking too much. "No, no, no, no, no, Its not a problem at all" Mark said while trying to assure her that she did nothing wrong. "I actually want to thank you for it" He then became a bit flustered as well. "Sometimes I just down know what to say in a conversation, so I find people like you who just talk and know how to carry a conversation super helpful". He thought that she was adorable. Not only could she help with fit in with the crowd, but also help him when he didn't know what to say "And I really appreciate it"

Isla’s eyes lit up as she sipped the slightly dangerous, fruity concoction and conversed with Cade. “Thank you so much,” she beamed. “It would be such an honor, honestly.” Being able to see all of these musicians face-to-face was an exhilarating experience-- it was all Isla could think about. Although she has trained herself with small celebrity-ridden parties and 5-star nightclubs in the heart of Los Angeles, nothing could beat this extravagant experience. Every step she took felt as if she was engulfed in some type of dream state-- although that could also just be the booze mixed with a little bit of pride.

The liquid content within her glass dwindled and Isla was yearning for another drink, or another crutch to lean on, still beating herself up for not pre-gaming the event a little harder with Emma. Listening in on the various conversations at the bar, including the one in front of her amongst Mark and Cade, she felt tremendously content. Although she was not contributing much to the conversation, Isla was satisfied with being around these great stars and musicians and meeting new people. Partially grinning to herself and to the flirtatious commentary between Mark and Cade, she noticed that a few more people had joined the line at the bar.

A breathtakingly tattooed man had ordered a round of shots for everyone at the bar, and Isla said a small “thank you” to whoever was above the clouds manifesting her desire to get tipsy. She had glanced at those around her that were cheering and drinking, and delightfully decided to join them although she cannot hold hard liquor very well unless it’s mixed into a “girly” drink or into a cocktail.

“Alright, down the hatch,” she muttered mostly to herself as she threw the alcohol to the back of her throat. The stinging sensation traveled from the back of her tongue, down her esophagus, and by the time the shot had entered her stomach, her normally soft and inviting features had contorted into one of a gremlin holding back bile. Isla held her hand over her face in order to hide her embarrassing facade and begged the bartender for some water to wash it down.

After that mortifying scene, she had decided to order a glass of champagne to sip on and avoid the next few rounds of shots. Isla, face as red as a tomato, turned to Cade and chuckled out a “You didn’t see anything.”

Monica bumped Felix's fist with a grin on her lips. His attitude towards things is what made him so lovable and why she appreciated him. He left and she looked back listening to her response. Honestly it took everything in her not to bust out laughing at the fact that there was someone out there would she disliked so much it made her physically ill. She honestly was curious as who it might be, but that could be a conversation for later, "Then I think the perfect remedy is a round of drinks and to have some fun, cause fuck'em." She chimed with a light shrug and a smirk.

The way she saw it best case scenario it's a great distraction from whoever it was, and worst case scenario a little liquid courage coursing through her veins, and things get handled one way or another. Either way the release should be good in the long run right? She was no therapist and probably not the best person to give advice on the topic, but you can only do what you can do. This was the best thing she could think of to offer her at the moment. "We're here tonight for all our hard work to be a part of this. So let's enjoy it.Don't let whoever this bitch you're talking about take this moment away, cause you've earned it." She smiled genuinely.

They'd worked their asses off, not just them but all the newly signed and starting artists. This night was a showcase of that, a celebration that they'd made it, that all their hard work meant something. so few people made it to this point, and she'd be damned if she let someone else in the room ruin her night. Not tonight. If it was a person they worked with then that would be a problem to solve later, but not tonight. She glanced over at Dakota with a playful wink, "See you around." She waved a bit before waiting to make sure Ophelia was straight then walking out the door with her and towards the bar.

Boy was there a crap ton of people hanging out at the bar. She recognized a lot of the faces, but not everyone and honestly she wasn't in the mood just yet to put on her game face. She was also wondering if she'd even be able to squeeze in to get a drink. Luckily stardom never fails and a waitress was walking around with a round of drinks on a platter to which Monica gracefully slipped off two of them before twirling back to face Ophelia. "Bottoms up." She hummed giving one of them to her. She was ready to have a good time tonight, and there was nothing that was going to get in the way of that. Like she told Ophelia, they deserved this night. She was going to drink, mingle , and have a good time while hoping Ophelia can do the same with her and, after the bathroom scene, probably Felix.

Bianca Sinclaire
Meeting Isaac was always like the breath of fresh air. The two were absolute partners in crime. He was one of those very few people who could actually listen to Bianca ramble for hours and remember every word AND even ask questions. He kept up wit her all the time and that qualified him to become Bibi’s number one friend.

“You know I’m gonna need a real hug at some point, babe, right?” Bianca grinned when she retuned his side hug. But even she understood that her fiery ass might have just walked on something here. She didn’t know the girl in person but she seemed a bit upset. Before she managed to ask anything though, the pretty brunette introduced herself. Hmm, Rosalind…seemed somehow familiar. With those looks. Rosalind…Rosalind…

“Oh my god! You’re Rosalind Hepburn, aren’t you? I -AH-DORE- your voice. And you are just sooo pretty!” The genuine joy in Bianca’s voice was apparent and she almost bounced with her face radiant as ever. With Isaac’s comment that she was his date, her eyes lit up even more. Now this was going to make for one hell of a talk later on. ‘Mental note, Bibi, find out which room is Isaac’s. You have a loooot of things to talk about.’

Taking a small sip of her pink bubbles, Bianca let them sparkle on her tongue little before it ran down her throat and the right corner of her mouth went up. “Oh, you bet, love. She is a total treat.” Bibi giggled and turned to Rosalind. “I do hope my boy Isaac here is treating you right.” she gave the girl a subtle wink. “You have the most beautiful hair though. How do you treat them though? The shine is OUT of this world.” Her hand reached out and she let one strand of Rosie’s hair slip through her fingers a few times. “Oh, haha, now I’m touching you! Sorry! Can I touch you? Oh my god, I should’ve asked first.” Bianca giggled and took a step back, realizing she was probably invading Rosalind’s personal space.

But that was typical Bianca. Her bubbly nature usually acted first before thinking and it wasn’t appreciated all the time. She heard it so many times, not to get in people’s faces. And yet, she kept doing it. With the best, purest intention, but still.

Before Bianca managed to interrogate the couple even more, they were all invited to take a shot. The redhead, who was a total lightweight and mixing bubbles with hard liquor was always a bad idea in her case, took the shot glass and looked at the tall man, whom she recognized as Felix Stevens, shooting him a smile as her appreciation. “Bottoms up, dear. Though I swear, one of you is taking me home tonight.” Another set of giggles followed and the young woman, reminding more of a child than an adult, downed the shot and washed the tequila taste with the rest of her champagne. She immediately heard this inner voice in her mind: ‘Good job, Bibi. Because you hold your liquor so well.’ It surely seemed like someone would truly have to take her home. She just needed to figure out who.
