dakota prince

Sweaty and tired was what Dakota's appearance resembled the morning of the meeting with Miranda. It was yet another restless night, but there was no way she could miss a meeting as important as this one. She'd already heard the stories of how Miranda Carlton was like in person, but she'd rather see for herself which meant she had to be punctual. The last few days had been spent readjusting to California, writing new music, and checking up on her only family member, so it wasn't like she had any prior commits the day of. Even if she did, they would instantly be canceled since music was her everything, and nothing but her brother could ever be more important than that.

Since her life had revolved around the same three things for almost three days now it meant that partying and clubbing was not included in that list and without them on the list, it meant she would always end up alone for the night. It was quite refreshing not dressing up everyday, but that left nothing to distract her at night and all the time she made up for not going out was lost through the late PM's and early AM's. It was the same nightmares every night, the same ones that had started since she was eight and had prevailed and returned the night of the gala. She hadn't slept more than a total of four hours each day, with interruptions within of course, and it had started to take a toll on not only her body but her sanity. The focus she needed to write was barely even there, and bags had began to form under her eyes. There were times she'd want to take a nap but the fear of seeing the same scenes flashing in her head again stopped her, forcing her to continue to live on coffee and monster drinks. Dakota Prince was nobodies bitch, but those nightmares? Now that was something she feared, and reasonably so. Who would want to live their shitty childhood over and over again every night? I'm not sure who would, but I can most definitely tell you who wouldn't want.

So here we are now, a half asleep Dakota Prince is up at seven in the morning attempting to be at the Hilton Garden Inn before the clock strikes nine. She stalked into her bathroom to fully start her day but by the time she exited the time was already nearing 7:30 and Dakota moved to cream her body next. It was picking clothes that had Dakota caught in the middle and wasted most of her time. She wasn't sure what she wanted to wear since her brain was telling her to put in effort, but her heart was telling her to fuck it and wear whatever. The internal battle ended with Dakota listening to her brain and dressed herself in a white tube top and skirt set. She placed a light washed jean jacket on top and all white Air Max 97's to seal the deal. After spraying her vanilla scented perfume Dakota put her hair up in a half up half down ponytail before making her way to her next stop; makeup.

Of course makeup took the longest and by the time she was leaving her room an hour and five minutes had already passed, leaving her with 15 minutes to arrive at a time that wasn't considered late. For any other event or in this case meeting Dakota would say she was ahead of track, but Miranda had made it extremely clear in the email prior that getting there at nine was considered late. She'd heard it all the time, being on time is late and being early was on time but she was till late to being early. Deciding to leave the Urus today Dakota entered her Corvette and began the journey to the Hilton, fingers tapping anxiously as she drove on the steering wheel. Even with the early morning traffic Dakota managed to arrive there three minutes before nine, scurrying to park and meet up with Miranda and the rest of the artists.

When the meeting and questions were finally over Dakota bid her goodbyes to everyone with the intent of going back home to try and sleep. She was out of there as soon as everyone concludingly said goodbye, except for Cade who had taken a phone call. It wasn't until she was halfway back at the Stardom Hotel, feeling around in her car and pockets, that she realized she forgot her phone in the Hilton. An exasperated groan left her lips as she made a u-turn and drove back to the hotel, grumbling curse words under her breath. Rushing to the front desk in the lobby and ignoring confused looks, Dakota sent a half smile as she began to retell her story of how she had lost her phone. It was no issue finding the phone, but getting it back in her hands remained a challenge. The clerk seemed weary, it was a gold iPhone 11 Pro, but after continuous back and forth and entering her password her phone was finally returned. A sorry was sent her way for the questioning but she just sent a reassuring smile, they were doing their job after all.

On her way out was where she found a ginger sitting out front with a laptop and a notebook. Dakota paid it no mind at first, but after a second glance she recognized her to be the one and only Cade Adams. If she was going to be around these different artists she probably should start attempting to form a bond, so pushing away her dire need for sleep Dakota approached Cade. The 23 year old never announced her presence and rather sat down beside her on the bench, peering over to look at what she was doing. "What're we doing here, Cade" she finally made her presence known, although the idea that she could've startled the other girl never passed her mind. Instead she looked at her with a smile like it was normal to approach and commence conversation with people you barely knew, especially when they looked hard at work.

Ricardo Augustine

Following several minutes of waiting outside, Ricardo perked a brow up at the silver Mercedes that scaled the small hill-road leading up into the estate. By her figure, his light blue eyes quickly took in Monica Russo at the steering wheel. A smile crept up onto his face at the arrival of what he thought was one of the more modest artists in the industry. Albeit not as big as some that rivaled her, Ricardo had faith in her potential, and a particular interest in severing the tie between her name, and her ex. After all she had been able to get Nicki Minaj on her most recent song, a feat not all artists her age or experience would've been able to pull off.

"Morning, mi amor." Ricardo said in a soft, and monotone voice. Gently, he guided Monica's hands up under his palm, and pecked the surface of her hand with a soft kiss. He shone a quick smile, before turning to the next arrival, Ophelia Hepburn. In spite of what the media portrayed about her, and her most recent altercation, Ricardo just believed she was a misguided artists that suffered the effects of being a child celebrity from a young age. Nothing he couldn't aid with time. Similar to Monica, Ricardo placed a soft kiss against Ophelia's hand in greeting, before pushing the door to his home open.

"Shall we? I hope the others will be here shortly." Ricardo put it simply, and allowed them to enter the mansion before shutting the door behind him. "On your left." He directed them both to the dining hall past a set of ornate glass doors. The room had a mixture of the smell of real Oak, and Chinese delicacies radiating from the silver tins. It was all illuminated by hanging gold lights, with windows that allowed them a sneak peak of the forests of the Malibu outskirts he resided in.

Ricardo seated himself at the head of the table, and though he didn't voice it, it was implied that the girls could take a seat.

"Don't eat yet as we wait for the others, but I really am a fanatic for this kind of food. I've tried my hand at Nobu's but it never really tops that Chinese taste." Ricardo's voice became slower, and more pronounced at his following words though. "This unorthodox breakfast meal I suppose is a testament to the industry we work in. I opt for full meals early in the day to avoid tiring as quickly as usual. Later hunger, later lunches, darlings. Maximize the daytime we have, any break to stop to eating is really time for the opposition to strike, no?" Ricardo's face softened following his words, though he still hadn't made any effort to serve his own food.

"With the arrivals of the others I'll disclose how, and what our goal will be here at Stardom. It's not a game to be taken lightly, but at the same time don't overthink it all either. You make money off of singing, writing songs, and conveying emotions after all. Any concerns before we begin?"

rosalind hepburn.
"is this a dream?"

The sun was just a little too bright and a little too hot for Rose’s liking. She had woken up early—at around 5 am, and had been unable to fall back asleep so the dark haired beauty had done what she did best. She took out a pen, some paper, and pulled out her guitar, lightly strumming on it as she began playing with some of the songs and lyrics she was currently working on.

Writing was easy for Rosalind—it was the musicality that she needed to work on. Her lyrics were deep and for the soul, but she liked her music to have a lighter, almost edgier tone to it. For Rose, life was all about balance. And the past few days had been just that.

Ophelias reaction to seeing Rosalind still left a bitter taste in Rose’s mouth. In order to bounce back from it, Rosalind had decided to stay a little undercover over the past few days. She had been taking time to herself, staying out of the media’s eyes and ears while diving into her craft. Besides, being back in California wasn’t too bad—she had forgotten just how much she had missed the beach.

In fact, it had become a ritual for Rosie to go on a daily, shore side run and sit on the warm sand afterwards for hours, writing and re-writing and working on what she loved most in the world: music. It had been a peaceful two days, ironically enough, but Rose could not shake the feeling that this brief moment of peace would soon be coming to an end.

After all, she and Ophelia were signed under the same manager--it was almost as if Stardom had plotted the younger of the Hepburn sister’s demise. It was dramatic thinking but given that the two sisters and their “beef” was currently a topic of discussion in the media, Rosalind couldn’t help but feel as if everything was already falling apart before it could really begin. After all, she had yet to actually speak to her sister. She felt helpless—the only thing that gave her clarity was her music so it was no surprise she put all of her focus and attention towards it. Besides, hard work always paid off.

This morning was different, however. Rosalind did not have time to go on a run, nor did she have time to go to the beach. After spending about two hours working on the chorus of her newest project, downing two and a half cups of coffee, and posting a quick picture onto her Instagram (she hadn’t been active on social media for a few days now, she figured it was due time), Rosalind rolled out of her bed and made her way into the bathroom in order to get ready for the day.

Her outfit was simple, yet polished and put together. She wore black denim shorts, they were long and frayed at the bottom. A thick black belt secured the baggy, loose fitted shorts at her waist. Rose had paired the shorts with a sheer and long sleeved, button down, light green blouse as well as a nude bralette underneath it to combat the sheerness. She left a few of the top buttons as well as a few of the bottom buttons open.

Rose’s hair was pulled back into a pony tail and on her ears was a pair of simple gold earrings. The outfit was simple and stylish, yet she still managed to be professional since she had donned a pair of nude, glass heels with it. The heels were just for the meeting with Ricardo and there was a pair of chunky yeezy’s in her car for afterwards.

Looking in the mirror, Rosalind gave her final look a quick one-over, not really caring to dress up more or put more make up on. A natural, radiant look was enough for her. Satisfied with her appearance, Rosalind grabbed her keys, purse, and made her way out of the security of the hotel and towards her car.

The sun reflected off of Rose’s sleek black Ferrari 488 spider, making it gleam in the sun. She wasn’t much for show, but the car was a beauty in design as well as appearance. While the outside was a glossy black, the seats were a bright red, Rose’s favorite color. It was a hot day and the LA sun was in full effect, so the tan skinned singer opted for leaving the roof of her car pulled back, enjoying the transition from the sleek sports car look to the easy, convertible look.

The drive did not take Rosalind too long and by the time she had parked on the side of the road, it was 8:55. Five minutes till go time. Taking a deep breath, Rose slid on her shades, making her way towards the entrance of the mansion, appreciating the fine details and Ricardo’s elegant style. She was excited to get to know him, especially after having heard nothing but the best about one Stardom’s finest.

Rosalind was ushered inside quickly by who she assumed to be part of Ricardo’s help, a friendly elderly lady who lead her to the elegant dining hall.

Now, riches and fame was not a new concept to Rosalind. But the sheer elegance of Ricardo’s style, combined with the mouth watering aroma of the food, was enough to make Rose stop in her tracks. She pulled off her sunglasses, staring up at the intricate detailing carved into the wood of the ceiling as a small breath escaped from her lips.

Biting her bottom lip, Rosalind felt a light blush creeping along the back of her neck as she took a seat from across Monica and glanced at her watch. It was 8:57—she wasn’t late. Or maybe she was? It didn’t really matter—nothing seemed to have started yet. Turning to Ricardo, Rosalind offered a small smile. “Good morning,” she began, sliding her purse off of her arm and onto the back of her chair. “—your home is beautiful,” She breathed, her eyes once more flickering upwards to admire the ceiling’s detailing.

Looking past Ricardo, her eyes fell on Monica and Rosalind offered the petite brunette a small smile. She recognized her immediately as one of the spunky new pop artists, new to Stardom as well. “Hi! I’m Rosalind—I don’t think we’ve gotten a chance to meet yet,” she said gently as she crossed one of her long legs over the other. Her eyes drifted to the person seated next to Monica and that all too familiar sinking feeling in her stomach returned.

Rose’s throat grew dry and her palms began to sweat, a new wave of nerves rushing over her. “Hi,” she managed out, her voice timid and small. She felt timid and small—afraid that her simple ‘hi’ would set Ophelia off. “You look nice,” she added, her voice more steady and sure as she offered her sister a shy smile. Her fingers began fidgeting with the frayed strings on the bottom of her shorts, and she could quite literally feel her heart pounding against her chest as she struggled to maintain her calm and collected composure.

She had not seen Ophelia since the gala and the last time they had interacted, Ophelia had glared at Rose before storming off into the bathroom. Rosalind still had no idea that Isaac was the reason why, and ignorance was bliss. She found herself accepting Isaac’s offer to drive her back to her hotel after the gala and had even given him her number, but that was it for now. She’d be lying if she said she wasn’t looking forward to hearing from the rapper. Rosalind had no idea that the reason for Ophelia’s harsh reaction was the same guy she was slightly crushing on.

Life had a funny way of coming full circle.

Turning her attention back to Ricardo, Rose focused on what he was saying. Her fingers continued to mess with the frayed strings on her shorts, but her hands were hidden underneath the grand dining table just as her nerves were hidden by the faint smile she wore on her lips.

Basking under the sliver of sunlight that emerged behind the sloppily closed curtains. Isla adamantly scrolled through her phone, reading every headline, every tweet, every instagram post, and every TikTok compilation made of the celebrities that appeared at the Stardom gala. She had remembered every detail of that night, from when her heels touched the entryway of the large, beautifully patterned door, to her new managers’ announcements, and lastly to the droplets of a beverage dripping off of a porcelain blonde man that she had recognized as Adrian Ellis.

Pictures of Isla that night were surely circulating around the internet, and she was not entirely complaining about it. She, like any other aspiring singer, loved the recognition of being at a high-profile gala and the glitz of fame. However, she had felt as if she had not been completely comfortable and open with the other artists that she had met that night. No matter how exposed she gets to the wishful glamorous lifestyle, she will never be able to shake her initial sheepishness.

Glancing at the time at the top of her phone, Isla gracefully kicked her legs out of bed and headed towards her closet to change. Donning a white, sleeveless shirt with soft, corduroy pink pants, she looked into the mirror.

Alright, she thought to herself. Today, I will be attending a meeting with my assigned manager along with Felix, Isaac and Zephyr.

She was elated to know that she would be seeing her old friend Zephyr in abundance, and she had recognized the other two male artists at the gala. Everyone she had chatted with at the gala had such a unique sound, therefore the blend of her music with the others would allow her to step outside of her comfort zone and explore new genres or methods of production. The butterflies in her stomach were startled by a ding on her cellphone.

She looked downwards and did not recognize the number that had texted her. Isla opened up the message and her jaw dropped.

The text message read: Isla baby, saw your pictures last night. Very proud of you. Let’s have lunch soon, Mom xx

Isla was dumbfounded by the message that appeared on the screen. She had not heard from her mother since she was little and always assumed that she was either dead or living with a new family to never be seen again. Her mother had a similar dream as Isla, as she had a beautiful singing voice and exceptional stage presence. However, her personality was stubborn and rude, therefore she was hard to work with. She had eventually left Isla’s father to “pursue her dreams”.

A few beads of sweat had formed on Isla’s forehead, as she locked her phone and headed toward the garage. She could not be late to the first team meeting with her manager, therefore, this was something she would have to deal with afterwards.

When she arrived at Boardroom A, her eyes held a tinge of worry. Not only did her mother, who had disappeared for a decade, text her out of the blue, but now she had to begin her lifestyle as a full blown solo artist underneath a critically-acclaimed record label.

Julian had begun talking rapid-fire, and she followed his lip and eye movements very carefully. He seemed to be a very passionate and dedicated guy, although his hair was a bit disheveled and his shirt was slightly unbuttoned. While he discussed the tour, Isla’s mind had immediately drifted to the options she could choose for the collaboration. Although she had three brilliant artists standing with her in this room, she really desired to collaborate with her good friend, Dakota.

Dakota has a sound that compliments Isla’s, and Isla could see the endless possibilities of songs that they could create together. Additionally, her and Isla were already close enough to understand each other’s wavelengths and styles of music. Therefore, Dakota seemed like the smartest choice.

Before Isla could fully digest his words and make a suggestion to the name of their little team, Julian had left the room. Isla had thought about questions she could ask both him and Selena some time later, however, she had turned her attention to her peers.

“Hey guys,” she smiled gently at the men. “We’re all going on tour together, huh?”

Katherine Sinclaire

The silk sheets clung to Kat's porcelain skin as she shifted in the king-sized bed. Her chocolate eyes fluttered open at the sound of her alarm and she reached over and hit the button causing the noise to come to a stop. A groan escaped her lips but she still forced herself out of the bed and strutted toward the bathroom. It was about seven-thirty which was an hour earlier than she normally woke up but she couldn't take her sweet time getting ready. There was a meeting with the new manager today and she had a feeling that he wouldn't be so forgiving if she were late. After taking a quick shower and getting ready, she made her way over to her sister's suite. They usually arrived to things together and this was no different. "Come on, B. We have like twenty minutes before we're late!" she called out.

Kat had been in a rather good mood since the gala which was likely due to her having been back in the arms, and bed, of Lloyd Alexander. The pair remained tangled up all night and day after the gala, her acrylic nails creating stripes on his back as if to mark her territory. The passion and heat of the moment made it seem as if they had never taken a three-month break. While neither of them had discussed getting back together this was usually how it went with them. Makeup sex that led to them once again being a thing. You could never be sure with them though. There had been stuff in the media of them getting close again and she was sure that the fans were buzzing about it. Some for it and some not for it, of course. Not that she had ever cared too much what outsiders had to say about it.

Making her way into the meeting area and looking around she noticed the others were there already which meant that she and her sister, Bianca were the last to arrive. Save the best for last, right? Strutting over and taking a seat with the others she perked up to hear what their eye-candy manager had to say. She heard something of a tour which she was eager to know if the rumors were true or not. Kat and Bianca could make waves on a tour and they needed it. They were still mainly known for their modeling and while Kat loved to do it, she wanted to break out as more than just a pretty face. Not only did she feel the need to prove it to the world but to their mother who had, time and time again, made it clear she thought they were chasing after silly dreams like children.

Felix Steven Tyler.
"trying to be better"

If you asked Felix about whether or not he and Ophelia were on again, he’d simply smile a sly smile and shrug and say they were just friends. It was what he always said whenever any reporter, interviewer, or anyone really, asked about her. Only the people close to him and the people close to Ophelia knew about the dynamics of their relationship. It ran deeper than just labels, but he didn’t really like to get into that. Somethings were better left unsaid, at least, for the time being.

The two days following the gala had been nothing short of relaxing—Addison was more than thrilled to see Ophelia around once more and so was Felix. As much as he was scared to admit it, Addison was attached to Opie and he was too. He certainly had never intended on it, but things just happened and at this point, he was okay with where they stood.

Felix had woken shortly after Ophelia had—but he stayed in bed a few moments longer—appreciating the few moments of peace and quiet he had before he had to get going. Not only did he have a meeting, but it was his first and Addison’s baby sitter just so happened to have come down with the flu. And Felix was not risking the chance of getting Addy sick, nor was he risking the chance with trusting someone he did not know to babysit his daughter. All of his friends were busy and Steven was out of town—so Addison would be forced to tag along with him. Not that Felix minded of course, having Addison by his side would surely ease his nerves.

And it did ease his nerves. Felix sat in Julian’s office, his long legs splayed out in front of him with Addison seated on his lap, the small girl watching Julian speak with big eyes. The pair were matching, Felix sporting a tie dyed shirt with black skinnies and Addison sporting a tie dyed romper with a mini black leather jacket. She was quiet and well behaved—a surprise considering she was the daughter of such a rambunctious personality. Felix on the other hand shifted uncomfortably from time to time, wondering how the concept of a tour would work with Addison.

Were kids even allowed? Would he even want his daughter in that kind of environment?

“Daddy are you gonna sing a song with pretty mamas??” Addison asked as soon as Julian had finished speaking, her voice barely above a whisper. Felix looked at her, surprised the young girl had understood what Julian had spoken about—it was a bit complicated for the three year old. But the peanut was full of surprises. “No—how’d you even catch on to that?” Felix asked, chuckling lightly as Addison jumped up and down in excitement.

“Sing a song with the bandits!!” She exclaimed, clapping her hands. Felix let out another short, amused laugh before he covered her hands with his, slowly calming her down. “Alright baby, we’ll see, but that’s Daddy business, not Addy business okay?” Felix said as he kissed the top of his daughter’s head.

A quick glance around the room told Felix he was working with some of Stardom’s finest--Isla Duchesne, Isaac Wilde, and Zephyr Walker. He had only really met Zephyr so far and was glad that they had a moment to speak to each other—he figured they needed to get to know each other since they were going to be seeing each other much more often. Smiling at Isla, Felix nodded in agreement with the dark haired beauty, admiring her kindness. It was fresh—the kind that was rare these days. “Yeah, I guess so. Shits so crazy, I still can’t believe it’s all actually happening,” Felix admitted, glancing down as Addison started scribbling something into her notebook.

Bianca Sinclaire
The excitement from gala stayed with Bianca for a few more days. There were no words to say how much she was looking forward to Rising Phoenix’s career launch at Stardom. The spark had been ignited with the invitation and the gala only made it burn brighter. The spark became a flame and that flame was quickly growing into a forest fire of enthusiasm in Bianca. And the fact that she got to go through all of it with her sister and best friend in one person was only making the deal that much sweeter.

Though once again, Bibi proved that early mornings were really not her thing. Why on earth would their manager want to meet with them so early in the morning? Didn’t the man sleep? Because if that was the case, he totally should. Lack of a good sleep could reflect on the skin and…well, fine, that probably wasn’t his case, he did look amazing. They really scored the best one of them all. Was it weird that she found their manager to be a real snack?

Kat’s voice cut through the air when Bianca was already on her feet, being still a bit grumpy and walking to the bathroom. “I’m coming, I’m coming…” she growled back and tried to do her best to get ready in a record time. And she did! A nice habit from the full catwalk times when she needed to change from and to different outfits in a matter of seconds.

It was only later when the Sinclaire sisters strutted to the mansion, where their meeting was, entering side by side, as usual, heads held high, confidence reeking from them. They were the last ones to arrive, so much was true, when did they ever care? Plus, Bianca loved arriving either late or as the last one. It ensured all eyes were on her. And there were only very few things she enjoyed more than being in the center of attention. Oh, she might have been the sugar here but don’t let that innocent baby face fool you. Bianca Sinclaire thrived in compliments and admiration. The more, the better.

And the best thing was only to come. Tour? Oh snap! Just the word itself gave her chills and her eyes lit up. “Ah-mazing!” she mouthed to Kat. That was exactly what the Rising Phoenix needed. It didn’t really matter that their song made it into Billboard 100. Being on the stage in ten major cities, showing their talent off, that was the real deal. And maybe once their mother saw them on stage like that, she would finally admit that the sisters were able to make it even on their own and didn’t need Olivia to push them up. The last thing she needed to figure out was whether Kat wanted to do the collab as Rising Phoenix or they were to do it separately.

Leo Walsh
It was going to take some time. Definitely. Getting used to the new bed, new room and overall, this new situation. Leo spent his fair share living in hotels and all but this one was certainly exceeding his expectations on every level. The room was spacey and allowed a lot of sun through the large windows which would be sure to wake him up too early in the morning, if it weren’t for thick curtains.

Not that Leo needed to be woken up. Since this all was rather new, he would take some getting used to e new bed which was far too comfy. If that was even a thing. That very morning, he woke up when sun wasn’t even up yet. There were still comfortable three hours to get ready. So Leo did what he was usually doing when he couldn’t sleep. He took his paper pad and smokes, lit up a cigarette on the balcony and tried to finish the song he had been working on for days. It was almost finished, he just needed a few right words to close a few verses. He had a good feeling about this one though the rest of the band still didn’t see it. When it came to work, Leo was a perfectionist and wouldn’t show the Bandits something he himself wasn’t satisfied with.

Around six or seven cigarettes later, Leo’s eyes fell on his phone and he realized it was time to go. With a loud groan, he stood up from his seat and cracked the joints in the neck and back before heading inside to get ready. He never really cared about punctuality but also didn’t want to arrive late or, god forbid, to miss the meeting. Bandits and Elijah went back quite some time now and though the dude was really going an extra mile for them sometimes, it wasn’t really worthy to piss him off. Especially with that tour incoming. If the rumors were true, of course.

It really didn’t take Leo long to get ready. Thank god, this was no fucking event and he didn’t have to dress up like a clown or do his hair or whatever. He still remembered that girl with tweezers. Whatever she was trying to do, he almost broke her arm with that swift motion. But not today. Today, he was just Leo the bassist who was trying to get to the meeting and convince himself he didn’t need to get high before he arrived there.

Leo liked Elijah for one thing the most. The man always went straight to the point and didn’t bore them with endless rant about the events or expectations. Sure, they knew each other long enough for the Bandits to know all his rules or what not but still, direct approach was preferred. As usual then, Elijah explained the situation right away and Leo’s thoughts went immediately to that one track he had been working on. Maybe the tour would be the place to introduce it if the guys liked it. But again, it was still just in Leo’s head. And it still needed some music, lyrics were not enough.

And then there was this collab project. Leo didn’t really get to hang out with many people at the gala, mostly because after the Katherine and her teeth incident, he and Link went to get a few hits. And from there, it was…fun. So who did the Bandits want to collaborate with? Considering their tour with Monica, that was an option but maybe it would be better idea to try someone new.

Once the meeting was over, he looked over his bandmates. “So you got any idea what you wanna do with that collab thing?” he asked, pulling another cigarette from the pack and lit it, taking a deep first drag followed by a strong cough. He might want to consider laying off of the smokes. But then again…as if.

The gala was not at all what Adrian had expected. The night started horribly, much more chaotic and unplanned than he would have liked. Kat showed up and stirred the pot as she typically did, she knew just how to get under Lloyd’s skin. Then, there was Ophelia. Stupid fucking Ophelia. He hadn’t even gotten more than a word out before he was drenched in what he discovered was orange juice.

To make matters worse, if that was even possible, he was slammed by Ricardo, one of Stardom’s managers. Some of our artists went so much as to bathe in the drinks served. Thankfully they weren't any of mine. As if the situation had been entirely his fault! Sure, Adrian may have ended things poorly and he would be the first person to admit that he fucked up. But everyone, even people who have never met Adrian, knows he doesn’t do the whole commitment thing and he made that very clear when he first started seeing Ophelia. Their long nights together were fun, nothing more nothing less.

He had gone over there to apologize, to try and smooth things over. How was that a bad thing? Hell, Ophelia hadn’t even let him talk before dumping the juice on him. It burned his way into his eyes, causing him to groan in pain as he frantically attempted to get the juice out of his eyes as the citrus began to blur his vision. Adrian was furious. Maybe he deserved getting yelled at but getting nearly blinded by a rogue glass of orange juice? Wasn’t that a bit too far? Anger was replaced by heavy waves of guilt and embarrassment only to be pushed back by the fury once again. He simply stood at the bar for a good minute, unable to react. By the time he snapped to, Ophelia was gone.

The only decent thing about the evening was Kiana. Adrian had been attempting to salvage himself when she approached him in a surprisingly polite manner. He knew what the situation looked like, it seemed the same every time. Ophelia wasn’t the first woman he had been with and left and received a bad rep. Adrian knew that he was at fault sometimes, but how many people had slandered him after his departure even though they knew he was not in anything for the long run? But hardly anyone would take a chance to truly listen to Adrian’s side of things instead of running after the juiciest headline.

Kiana was kind, unexpectedly so. Not many people would give someone drenched in orange juice in a very public fit of passion the time of day. But she offered to go back to the hotel with him. The entire ride was actually quite pleasant, yet another surprise. Kiana was nice to talk to and she kept him distracted from the humiliation that was bubbling up in his stomach.

The days following the gala, Adrian hardly showed his face. He stayed within the confines of Stardom, mostly within his own room. The media was swarming with his juice covered face and suit, speculating on what had happened. Everyone knew it had been Ophelia that had gotten him, that much was public knowledge. But the reason was obscured, though a few tabloids got their theories pretty close. And then there were his fans after seeing pictures of him leaving the Louvre with Kiana, wondering if the two were an item. For once, Kiana had simply left with him as a friend, nothing else, and Adrian was more than content with that. The last thing Adrian needed was another person against him.

By the time the meeting had rolled around, Adrian’s ego had somewhat recovered. He was just on time, never early and never late. Elijah, their manager, seemed like a good match for the Bandits, though Adrian pitied him some. He knew how much he and his bandmates could be to handle, he only hoped that the man knew what he was getting into.

The meeting was short and sweet, as Adrian liked it. There was no point in droning on and on when there was work to be done, especially with a tour. Adrian had toured with the boys before and he absolutely loved the experience. While it had been a lot of fun, Adrian was also incredibly aware of how much work it was. He agreed that the possibility of a tour could be a massive boost for Stardom’s publicity and the mention of a collaboration only piqued his interest more.

Adrian watched as Leo pulled a cigarette out of its package and took a long drag followed by a harsh cough. Normally, Adrian would have mentioned something about Leo needing to kick the habit but after what had happened at the gala, Adrian really didn’t want to start another fight. Instead, he turned his attention immediately to the tour.

“Well, there’s always Monica. She was amazing to work with and the fans know and love her.” Adrian began, lacing his elegant fingers together and resting them on the tabletop. “But she might be too familiar. If we want to catch eyes, we should go for someone new, more fresh to our sound.”

The man thought quietly for a second, trying to figure out who to work with. Stardom was filled with incredible talent but who was going to be the right talent for the Bandits? A few different names came to mind, though realistically their possibilities were endless.

“What about Felix or Isaac? They both are great artists and they’ve got a unique sound that would definitely blend with us.” Adrian offered, rolling his shoulders backwards to adjust his posture in the chair. “Honestly, I’m open to anyone. Stardom is filled with great artists, I’m sure we can find someone that works.”
The taste of orange juice flooded his senses once again.

“I take that back,” he quickly recanted, his face scrunching up with some distaste. “Just about anyone. I quit if we work with Ophelia.”

Mark Gordon

Mark was most certainly not a night owl, and it definitely showed. The moment that he went back to his hotel room from the gala, he quickly went through his bedtime routine, laid down on the bed and was out like a light. As he drifted off, there was a smile on his face. This place was already way better than he could imagine, and he had already met some amazing people. He could not wait to work with them, get to know them better, and start what could be the best season of his life. As for his manager, he was in awe. Miranda was exactly the type of manager he was looking for; someone strict and stern, but in a way that would keep him on track and help him get things done. Her reputation was quite well known throughout the music industry, and Mark was exited to work with her.

Now although Mark was not a night owl, he most definitely was an early bird. Waking up at the early hour of 6:00 am, Mark started his morning routine, which consisted of a 2 mile run, workout at the nearest gym (Hotel gym) , meditation, a shower, oral hygiene, daily grooming and skin care, hair, and daily vitamins. Mark though very highly of taking care of himself and maintaining a healthy complexion. Sure it took him about 2-2.5 hours to complete his routine, but to him it was well worth it. It gave him confidence. He was always inspired by the words of the great Tom Ford; "It's not about changing the way you look, it's about being the best version of yourself."

After figuring out what to wear, Mark made his way to the place where they would be meeting. Mark guessed that it would be a breakfast meeting based on time and place that he was told to meet at, so he intentionally did not eat anything that morning. He made sure to arrive 15 minutes early, which was normal of him anyways. He greeted Miranda and Cade and made a bit of small talk while they waited for Dakota and Kiana. After some short introductions, Mark began to indulge himself in the food at the exact moment after he was given permission. Although he was not counting, he ate about 4 eggs, 4 pancakes, a bowl of oatmeal, a bowl of cereal and a glass of orange juice. Marks stomach was nothing short of impressive, although he had been starving since his run in the morning.

After his meal Mark began to listen to Miranda get down and dirty on what she would be working with them on, and he was exited. Sure, he had just finished a North american tour of his own, but now he was going to collaborate with another artist. Mark began to think of who he would collaborate with, and soon he was lost in thought. No one really asked him any questions, and before he knew it the meeting was over.

Mark then decided to finally make his way to stardom hotel. He had not seen the building yet, let alone his room. He had spent a long time designing the interior of his room and its layout, and he was exited. driving to the hotel, Mark had a million things racing through his head, everything from the tour to collaborations to his room to what he would be doing tonight. "Ok, you need to calm down" he told himself as he took a deep breath. He definitely was worrying too much. "Everything is going to work out. Just go with the flow and let things happen'. When he arrived at the hotel, he noticed that Cade and Dakota were out infront talking with one another. He talked to Cade a lot last night, but he admitted that he neglected almost everyone else. Not the best move he's made. After leaving his car, he approached them both "Hey guys. whatcha talking about?"

Link didn't know what to think when he heard about the incident at the gala. He wasn't there, of course- he and Leo bounced to go smoke before everything seemingly went up in flames. He left by himself, not caring to take any girls home. In all honesty, he was sober by the end of the night and just wanted to go and crash. As soon as his head hit the pillow in his new room, he was out like a light. The next few days went by without much of anything happening. He worked with Leo on the new song he was writing, worked out, swam, kept to himself and his bandmates. Link wasn't very social, actually. Although more introverted than Leo, he wasn't a party animal unless he was invited. He appreciated solitude and what it had to offer.

Link was the last one to arrive the morning of the meeting, although he wasn't late. Almost late. At the mention of a collaboration Lincoln wasn't super excited. They had their own niche style, their own niche fanbase.. although collaborating could help them branch out their audience, there weren't people in the company that sounded like them or really similar. Running a hand over his face, he wore a green plaid overshirt and some gucci t-shirt beneath it, some dark jeans and comfortable Balmain shoes. "I mean," Lincoln began and leaned back into the plush couch, looking between his bandmates. But before he could finish, Adrain cut him off and then made the comment about Ophelia, which made him snicker and huff out of his nose and shake his head. Obviously Link felt some type of way, but he wasn't going to say it. Lincoln didn't rock the boat- not ever. His rule of thumb was: If it's not going to matter in two weeks, don't say shit and don't get worked up about it. "Neither of them sound too bad. Honestly, they both have a lot to bring to the table on a track.. but with isaac I feel like we'd have to blend in some sort of trap beat or jazz, with Felix he sort of sings and has his own rock-ish vibe."

Stardom was abuzz with the excitement of the upcoming tour and Cade was no exception. After her chat with Mark and Dakota, Cade spent the rest of the day in her room strumming endlessly at her guitar, her mind flowing with creativity. She would be lying if she were to say that she wasn’t slightly threatened by all of the incredible new talent. Endorsers and fans alike prefer people who are shiny and new, not two year veterans who haven't been able to produce a good enough quality song in months.

Cade had hopped in the shower to wash away the stress of the day, her mind wandering as the warm water cleansed her skin. This tour would be competitive, filled with the new sound that Stardom fans craved. On top of that was the natural stress of preparing for the tour. There was wardrobe planning, song creating, that duet that was filling Cade with anxiety, photoshoots, publicity and media to get the word out… Letting out a sigh, Cade turned off the water and stepped out of the shower. She was sufficiently stressed out for one night.

She was laying on her bed in a towel scrolling through Instagram when a thought popped into her head. Outside of the gala (which hadn’t ended well for some people), the artists hadn’t yet really gotten a good chance to mingle and get to know one another. Cade sat up on the edge of her bed, nibbling gently on her lower lip. Who better to throw a wicked party than a resident like herself? Cade opened her phone and created a group chat, quickly firing off a text message.

Meet me in the foyer at 10pm and be ready to party. It's time for some fun xxx Cade

After sending the message, Cade began to get ready. It was nice to have time to get ready instead of dressing in the back of a car, to have an entire room to dance around to music in instead of an airplane seat. Cade chose one of her favourite trios and put it on after her hair and makeup was finished: a yellow fitted pant with a black bralette and grey blazer, topped off with a black silk scarf.

Nine o’clock was close to rolling around and Cade made her way to the foyer where she said she’d meet everyone only to find the place empty. She checked her phone again and sighed. Fashionably early, as always.

Cade grabbed a seat in one of the plush benches in the foyer, scrolling through her phone while she waited for everyone to arrive. Within the next ten minutes, each artist showed up and Cade was bubbling with excitement.

“Hey, I’m glad you guys could make it!” Cade chirped with a bright smile, hopping up onto her feet out of the bench. “I was thinking that we should get together and really have some fun. I know the gala was sticky and full of networking which sort of puts a damper on the fun. But we are going to party tonight, just us artists. No paparazzi, no networking, nothing. Tonight is not the night for working so no discussing the tour or duets or whatever so if you’re going to be all businessy, just go home I guess. Tonight, we’re going to let loose and get to know each other and have a fucking good time!”

Cade began leading the group down a hallway that was, for the most part, empty and lined with ambiguous looking doors. She knew the best way to get to the Stardom Bar was from the inside.

Finally, the group stepped through a large set of doors and were met with a completely different looking room, the entrance to the bar. It was elegant yet modern and one of Cade’s favourite places to go to unwind. Two large men in suits were standing outside two large black doors, stiff as boards. As soon as they saw Cade, their postures relaxed.

“Ah, Cade, so great to see you back! And you’ve brought friends!” The shorter of the two men said, holding out a fist to Cade which she bumped with her own. She pulled out her ID and showed it to the man. Only Stardom artists, staff, and certain guests were allowed to enter the bar.

“You’re all set, enjoy your evening, Cade.” The taller man said, unlocking the door for Cade who thanked him and stepped inside.

Cade made her way over to the bar, leaning against the cold surface. There was a decent amount of people in the bar, some chatting idly by the bar while others were partying on the dancefloor. The bar had only just opened so Cade was certain there would be more partygoers as the evening progressed. She couldn’t help but grin as the sound of music filled her ears and thumped through her chest, calm and excitement flooding through her. The Stardom Bar had been a common place for Cade to frequent when she was getting started at Stardom, not to get drunk but to simply get comfortable.

“Pierre!” She greeted as the bartender made his way over. “I hope all is well. Can we get a round of vodka shots for my friends to get this party started and I’ll also take a rum and coke. Their first three rounds can go on my tab. Oh, and make one of those shots water for Isla. I’ll teach her how to take shots one of these days but I know she isn’t a big fan and I don’t want her to embarrass herself.”

“You’ve got it, dear. It's wonderful to see you again. How was your visit home?” Pierre asked as he grabbed clean shot glasses and lined them up on the table.

“Wonderful, actually. It was nice to see my dads again, it's hard being so far away from family so often.” The other artists made their way into the bar and Cade flipped around so she was leaning backwards on the counter, raising her hand to wave them over. “Welcome to the Stardom Bar, my favourite watering hole on this side of Calabasas!”

Cade handed out the vodka shots, winking as she handed Isla her shot glass filled with water. She raised her glass in the air, smiling widely as she looked at the group around her.

“Here’s to an amazing night with amazing people. Cheers!” Cade spoke loudly before taking the shot smoothly, her lips curling up at the burn racing down her throat. “Let’s get this party started, shall we?”

outfit PARTY TIME

The butterflies in Isla’s stomach had seemed to fly around her heart, and up into her mouth. Or perhaps, that was bile. Her hand, visibly shaking, covered her mouth as she made her way into her room. Her conversation with the others this morning was quite lively, and she was very intrigued by the entirety of Team Julian, however she has not been on such a large-scale tour. Of course, she has performed in front of large crowds and has joined on stage when her friends had toured in her city, but Isla did not even have a full album out yet therefore she did not think it was worth it to pour budget money into a tour yet.

She was excited, but the thought of all of the eccentric people she met at the party on stage together, singing their hearts out made her feel quite nervous. And not only that, she still hadn’t answered the text sent by her mother who she had not heard from in years.

Emma had waltzed into the room and engulfed Isla into her slender arms. “Sorry to intrude! They let me, your trusty makeup artist, in with ease. How is my star today?”

Isla’s nervous demeanor had started to wane. “I’m alright,” she smiled as she pulled away from the embrace and looked into Emma’s cheerful green eyes. “You smell like expensive, foreign cologne.”

A slight blush appeared across Emma’s cheeks. “Remember that KPop star I mentioned a few days ago? We’re still seeing each other!”

“Damn, that sounds nice,” Isla shook her head, smiling. “You have to introduce me one of these days then!”

They laid together on the bed as Emma talked endlessly about the glamorous dates she had been on and Isla’s mind drifted toward the text from her mother. She wanted to tell Emma about it, however, she did not want to burden her as Isla knew that Emma was one to always pity her ever since childhood. Isla disliked the pity, but appreciated all of her close friend’s gestures anyway. She was lucky she had someone who cared so much about her.

A vibration on the bed had gotten Isla’s attention. It was a group text thread showing a message from Cade. Emma glanced at the message and said, “Well, I’ll get you ready and then I’ll leave you alone to party with the Stardom hotshots!”

The two had danced around the room as flurries of tinted powder, blush and perfume had filled the air. Soon enough, Isla was clad in a black lace bodysuit, black retro windbreaker pants, and 6-inch stilettos. She waved goodbye to Emma and glanced out of the window. The view during the day was absolutely stunning, but the same view in the darkness of the night put her in awe of the fun nights that were to come.

As the clock struck ten, Isla was downstairs amongst Cade and the other Stardom artists in the bar. It was unlike any other bar she had ever gone to or performed in. The room was enormous and looked something out of a Hollywood movie she had seen as a child. She took a seat onto one of the crimson chairs and made a comment to herself at how soft it was. Isla said hi to everyone, a bit shy, but donning an inviting smile.

She had heard Cade order a round of shots and winced at the thought of her stank face being projected to all of the new friends around her. She had thrown the vodka back into her throat with conviction, and was surprised when she discovered it was water. She graciously grinned at Cade’s thoughtfulness, and ordered her own fruity drink to sip on and maintain a good buzz while the others took more shots.

“Cheers!” Isla shouted along with Cade, ready to party until the sun interrupted the fun.

The rest of the meeting with their new manager Ricardo went really well. He fed them, set his expectations and informed them of what they needed to start working on in regards to the tour. She considered herself very lucky to be under him, and with the artists around her. Considering they only had a couple days to pick out their set list music Monica went ahead and approached him about releasing her new song she'd finished just before the Gala. She wanted something fresh anyways to be on the radio and it would make a great addition to the tour for her. She liked her song with Niki, and the woman brought a lot of star power heck it was on the billboard 100 list! However Monica didn't want her very next song coming out while under stardom to be yet another collab .She's trying to convince people and the media that she can be a star in her own right that she doesn't have to depend on anyone not just her ex. She can't make a very convincing argument if all her new songs that hit the charts are just collaborations. She wanted her voice, her sound, her energy out there, she wanted her fans to feel her...not just admire who she is capable of working with. With all that being said and his thoughts being mostly releasing a new song before other artists could give them a boost, he agree and she handed over the copy of her song to him, so he could get everything handled.

Before she left she also got a chance to talk to Ophelia about them finally getting to work on the collab together they'd been talking about. It'd been an idea they tossed around before, and now was the perfect opportunity to put it into action. Monica figured she turned out pretty lucky since that meant she had almost everything figured out for the tour now, she just needed to put in the work to get it all done in a matter of three weeks. Which honestly felt like such a short amount of time, but considering half the work was now basically done she didn't feel a lot of pressure from the time limit. Sure she'd be busy, but the only real work she needed to do was work with Ophelia to create a song and record it. Three weeks was plenty of time to do that, even with all the meetings and photo-shoots required to promote the tour.

After the meeting Monica went to her room to brainstorm which song she wanted to do for her set list. She was obviously going to do the new one, but she figured she needed to balance out something new with something familiar the crowd could sing along to. The best option would of course be her top charter No Tears in the Club, but there was no guarantee that Niki would be available for the tour, and it'd feel kinda lackluster to perform it without her. Which meant she'd have to dig into her EP album for a song. In reality it shouldn't be too hard of a decision because there were only three songs on that EP. She kinda wanted a softer sound to show her range compared to the edgier song that she's releasing along side it. However all those songs she wrote while she was still with her Ex and they each tugged at her heart when she had to sing them. She wasn't sure if she was emotionally ready to go on tour singing those songs again. She'd done so when touring with the bandits, and that was intense since everything was still so raw back then.

Before she had a chance to overthink it even more her phone buzzed with a message from Cade. The girl must be physic, because a night to just let loose and party was exactly what she needed. Cade as always coming in clutch! She could worry about picking her last set list song, and writing with Ophelia tomorrow. Tonight was going to be all about drinking, and forgetting all of this pressure for just a bit.

She walked over to her closet and rummaged around to find a cute outfit. Sure technically her first impression was the gala, but that was for the paparazzi, investors, and stardom big shots, this would be her first impression of herself to them as a person, not just an artist. Her on stage persona outfits, and her red carpet type outfits weren't really all that similar to her everyday outfits. In fact they were pretty opposite. She loved loose fitting clothes like over-sized sweaters and big XL T-shirts, with just some really tall boots so she didn't have to bother with pants (spanx being all she needed). She decided to go with something in between. Something comfortable, yet cute since she didn't know where they were going to be partying exactly and just in case the Pap's did crash their night she needed to look presentable. She tossed on her favorite blue outfit, and did her hair a little different than normal with some darker tones for the make-up.

Once she was done it was almost 10 pm so she headed down to meet Cade in the others. She was pleasantly surprised once she got there to see everyone who showed up. She was also pleasantly surprised to hear Cade's speech about how tonight was not going to be about work in the slightest. It was a relief though because nothing would kill her buzz more right now than someone talking to her about the tour prep, or the set lists, or blah blah blah. One night off wouldn't kill anyone. Once they'd all made it inside the club and Cade offered up a round of shots Monica grinned taking it straight to the head immediately. She walked over towards Cade with a bright smile, "You clever devil, What a great idea!" she chimed before tuning to the bartender and ordering another shot for herself and Cade before turning to the brunette nearby, "Hey you want another one too?" She offered the girl. She recognized her a bit from the Gala at a distance. "Anyways, how've you been!? I feel like it's been forever since we've hung out!" Monica chimed excitedly at Cade.
