Star Trek: Voyager (Detailed/Long-Term)

Hey all. I'm still struggling to build up a strong RP base, so I thought I'd get a little specific for a brief moment and narrow it down to one fandom at a time. Next up on the list is Voyager. Please note that I am not currently interested in any other incarnation of Star Trek, even in crossover fashion.

As the title states, I like detailed, or advanced, writing. To me, this means correct punctuation, capitalization, and grammar; the capacity to create compelling posts with a balance of quality and quantity; and knowing the difference between possessives and plurals, "your" and "you're," "its" and "it's," etc. I can be very picky, but just put due effort into your posts. I have a degree in English, which I know can seem intimidating, but I really just want someone to whom the written word is as important as it is to me. n.n; If you come to me without even capitalizing "RP," I will cry into my (black) coffee.

I only do MxF pairings. I also do not do smut, nor do I do disgustingly graphic and gory depictions of violence for the sake of violence. I love romance, and I love action and adventure and conflict, but if what you want is more R than PG-13, I'm not your gal. Plenty of very good stories do not have gratuitous violence and sex, and we're not here to be as morbid as possible; we're here to write complex stories.

In this fandom, my character is Janeway. I am looking for someone to at least double as Chakotay for me. In return, I will gladly play any canon character of your choice.

So anyway. Long-windedness aside, if you're interested, kindly drop me a line. n.n Thanks!

I started chanting "FINALLY" as soon as I saw the title to your thread.. May I say that I am now coughing, as being sick and yelling do not go hand in hand.. Ugh, I've been wanting to role-play Star Trek: Voyager since I saw it the first time, and I'd gladly play Chakotay! PM me?

I'm going to poke this thread for the heck of it, because I'm really itching for my first love right now.

What great and bad news in one package for me! I have been obsessed with Voyager for the past few months. But unfortunately, Chakotay is by far my least favorite character. Would you be willing to consider someone else?

Unfortunately, the only person I will ever accept as a pairing with Kathryn is Kotay. ^^; If you wanted to do something post-series, I could consider working with some OCs.

On second thought, I can try it, if by "in return", you mean that you also play a character against someone of my choice. I do have to warn you, though, that my favorite characters throughout Star Trek are generally the socially awkward ones (Spock, Data, T´Pol... Seven of Nine, Tuvok, holodoctor). Thus, my only issue with Chakotay was, that he is too likeable and kind. :D

Haha, I have no problem with that. I love Tuvok and the Doctor. The biggest problem I have with Seven (besides the fact that every time she has a problem she uses the, "When you separated me from the Collective..." line) is the shotgun relationship the writers forced between her and Chakotay in the last few episodes.

We do not have to use her, because I play men much better than I play women anyway. I am already a woman in real life, and I suck at it there, too.

Aww. Sometimes I do, too. >> If you want to shoot me a PM, we can hammer this bad boy out and see what happens.
