Fenris
Howling Tempest
Overview of the 6th World:
Too maintain order and cement their control new governments and corporations introduced the SIN (System Identification Number) allowing them to track and monitor their populace. A SIN contains all information relevant to identifying individuals, allowing them to make everyday purchases, granting nationality and thus rights of their respective corp or gov; with the downside of 24/7 monitoring by said provider. Those born without or who have somehow managed to get rid of their SIN are ghosts in the machine, non entities possessing neither rights nor belongings as they simply do not exist as far as the corporate courts are concerned. This freedom makes them ideal assets for any kind of shady work the rich and influential don't want traced back to them. Thus the dubious business of shadowrunning was born.

The Races/Metatypes:
Humans: Still the most numerous species, do we really need a description here?
Elves: Often more slender than your average human; elves are well know for the pointy ears, longevity and natural charm/beauty. They have established their own territories in the US as well as Europe but are not unusual residents of many other corporations or states.
Orks: Slightly bigger and bulkier than most humans, orks are often a prime target for prejudice dismissing them as brainless brutes. While suffering from no form of metal drawbacks, the naturally gifted musculature and somewhat brutish look stemming from their protruding tusks as well shortened lifespan feed into the stereotype.
Trolls: Standing an average of just over 9ft (2.8m) and sporting both tusks as well as horns Troll's are one of the most easily spotted metatypes and often suffer from similar prejudice as orks albeit more pronounced. Their massive size can also make everyday life difficult as not all establishments are outfitted to cater to customers of these proportions.
Dwarfs: Sharing the elves longevity dwarfs are shorter and bulkier than the average human. They are stereotyped as crafty and hardworking due to fairy tales even if the average dwarfs attitude does not differ from a humans. However, they are naturally robust and often gifted with string determination.

Shadowrunners:
Shadowrunners fall outside the structured corporate world. Many are outcasts, having risen from the streets or fallen from corporate or government ranks. Their ranks include idealists and pragmatists, professionals and amateurs, disillusioned ex-corp/government/military personnel who have thrown off the shackles of corp society, and those who have never known any life outside the shadows. The one thing they have in common is that through necessity or by choice, they work in the shadows cast by the gigantic corporate buildings.
Archetypes: include but are not limited to
Street Samurai/Adept: Combatants of great skill that rely on technology or internal magic to overcome the opposition
Decker/Technomancer: Electronic warfare specialists (hackers), whom enter the matrix using cutting edge equipment or the very powers of their mind
Mage/Shaman: Casters that harness magic or call upon powerful spirits to do their bidding
Face/Sneak: Social engineers or infiltration specialists to whom no door is locked and no secret safe
