Backstory: Nathaniel has always been an extremely intelligent child. He had mastered everything from speaking, writing, math and other academics long before his peers and such has been given free reign when it came to his studies. However it seemed as though the trade-off for his mental capacities was his physical ones. Even as a young child, he got sick and often further keeping from interacting from children his own age, making it even harder to understand others on a more personal level. Even to this day Nathaniel has problems with his health now and then though he's doing significantly better than from when he was younger. As a result he can't be as active and he has trouble understanding others, even though he's read many psychology books to make up for his lack of understanding. The only person that he's interacted with has been his sister, Melisma but he has had a hard time understanding her as Nathaniel had with many others. Even so, he's felt more connected with her as Melisma is the person he's interacted with the most. So even though Nathaniel struggles to properly communicate with her, he's very protective over her.

Backstory: Ariadne grew up at the royal palace in Centrum. She had a pretty normal life, at least for a royal. She would still get an education, which included the normal academics along with subjects she would need in order to properly rule the kingdom once she was ready. Ariadne loved both of her parents, but she had a special place for her father. When the demon king wasn't busy, he taught Ariadne archery, which she loved, he also taught her about the many different familiars of the Abyssal Plains as well as the flora that grew there. When Ariadne got older and started gaining suitors, the demon king was very picky, regularly rejecting the offers they had. Unfortunately when Ariadne turned eighteen, the devils of Hell waged war on the Abyssal Plains, which called the king to go lead the armies alongside the Brute Demons and House Casila's best men.

While the demons and devils waged war, Ariadne continued to her studies and was rather independent with it, learning the languages of the faes and goblins. Even reading into the history of the Abyssal Plains and the fact that there were other realms of existence. This fascinated Ariadne. When she turned twenty one, her father did something risky and conjured a deadly spell on the devil armies. The spell drained all of his energy and he died which caused the devils to pull back and regroup. Ariadne now mourns the loss of her father and continues to train, in preparation for when the devils return.

Backstory:
Delilah is the niece of the queen and first cousin of the princesses. When her aunt married Lord Imperium, he was kind enough to let Delilah live with them as well. Her horns were changed to black by a ancient magic ritual, making her apart of the house even more. In the beginning she had trouble with accepting her new family. Eventually she warmed up to them and came to care for them.

Before they moved Delilah spent her time training, as was common with those of the Calisa house. When they moved her training didn’t stop, she continued to fight while also honing her magical skills.

Appearance:
Delilah has the typical beauty that comes with being a succubus. Her hair is black and silky, it reaches her lower back. She posses a pair grey eyes and lucious, red lips. Delilah has a shapely figure. Her horns are pitch black like the rest of her family and her tail is the same color. Her tail is long enough to wrap around an person’s waist and has a sharp point.

Backstory: Valak was born as the full-blooded Heir to the House of Casila, his mother was the ruling matriarch before him and his father married into the family. His father, Ragni, died at the early age of 56 in a battle to defend the lands of Casila against a rebellious gang of Brute Demons. His mother continued ruling in her rightful place and Valak idolized her every waking moment of his life. Her deep red horns were adorned with metal decorations and sometimes jewellery of her victims whom she had slained before hand. Ever since he could walk Valak was training, he was with his father until he was 17 then begun brutal training under his mother, he was pushed relentlessly, learnt tactics, studied the entire map and terrain of The Abyssal Plains until he knew it from memory and fought man after man to earn his status. When he was 56, he married his wife (Whomever takes the role) and they bore a heir, or two, sometime after-Isabelle and Zayne.

He excelled massively as a leader and Lord of Casila in those aspects of life and climbed to the top, eventually he worked alongside the King, providing troops and knowledge of War to assist in the King's last fight. Valak was saddened by the lost but it was a worthy death of his best friend.

Backstory:

Early Life


The younger sister of Valak was anything but warrior. Despite a strong matriarch, many were thankful that she would be replaced by a capable Patriarch, and thus supported the new child. Being born a shapeshifter, she often assumed various forms to play pranks on her parents and brother, often causing discourse in the house until the Matriarch wheeled her in. By that time, it was clear she lacked the natural aptitude for combat that her brother possessed.

Eventually, it was by suggestion that her shapeshifting be used for Valak's benefit. She found that it took more time and energy to assume larger forms or forms vastly different from her own. Even more, she lacked any skills or talents those that she copied possessed. And yet, her mother found it acceptable to often have her assume Valak's form in order to test his own mettle against a literal equal.

Marriage:



Like all things, eventually Miluna was to be considered a bride for the heir to the Imperium Throne. Miluna hadn't expected to be chosen, when there were other succubi far more exotic than her. However, it was perhaps her abilities that pleased the king more than her original looks. For as a shapeshifter, she could become any fantasy one desired. And perhaps more. It wasn't hard to manipulate her way to the top. She'd never told him, but there were a few times she'd taken the form of her rivals simply to sabotage them and give her a better chance. After all, Queen of House Imperium meant she was on a higher pedestal than her brother.

And that was all that mattered for her.

She found herself becoming any desire he wanted, and for a time she found herself playing multiple actors. Mistresses, servants, spies, whatever role that was needed of her. She'd used her powers for so long that she found the drain becoming ever more prevalent.

That was when they had Ariadne. Although most succubi give birth without any complications, the stress along with her own magic rendered her bedridden for quite a time. She'd transform seemingly at random, unable to control it and found her own mood shifting as much as the transformations. As a result, the King tried his best to tend to her, but as she needed time to heal, she spent very little time with her daughter. Eventually, Ariadne grew to love her father more as a result.


Present Day



Although Miluna managed to control her transformations, she'd still have occasional slips where a part of her might not match the rest. As a result, she often hid behind a veil whenever she was needed for an official presence. This eventually earned her the title of the Veiled Queen. Eventually, though, as her condition got better, she found herself keeping the thick veil. Not only for reputation, but for her own enjoyment. She did sometimes abhor the demons that pleaded in the Royal Court, and a veil was what hid her rolling eyes and ghastly sneers.

Eventually, however, her husband died. It wasn't without his great sacrifice that the Abyssal Plains were kept at bay. His death came as a shock to her, as she realized she was being given his kingdom by herself. With the coming threat heading at full speed, she began to wonder how she'd be able to unite the various kingdoms to fight a new threat once more.

And of course, she found that answer quite easily. While her daughter stood to inherit the throne, she was still young and Miluna would be in control, for however short it was. What little she'd learned in head-on fighting, she'd mastered in guile and deception.

Backstory: Isabelle grew up with her father, mother and brother. She was without a grandpa in the family as he was lost in a battle a long time ago, the only thing she knew about him was that he was supposedly a brave fighter.

Every night before she went to sleep, her father would tell him stories about her grandad and how strong and intelligent he was in important fights and how he had slain enemy after enemy until all that was left was but a pool of blood. Isabelle was amazed at these stories and at that moment decided that her destiny was to become one of a strategist and a fighter.

Her father had agreed that by the time Isabelle had reached a older age he would teach her the ways of strategy in battle and, of course, swordsmanship and magic. She was home taught by her dad everyday with a normal curriculum instead of going to school. For obvious reasons this has taken a toll on Isabelle and has made her a little bit of a shy person in reality.

Although, Isabelle had to catch up with her brother whom had already started lessons with his father from a small age as his father had a what she believed was a secret favouritism in his son. So, in order to catch up, Isabelle spent many years training with and without her brother for many long hours per day enjoyed being with her brother and training.

As of later in her future Isabelle had a conversation with her dad and brother concerning inheritance of the House Casila. They talked about it and had come to a final conclusion in which they all agreed to.

A new rivalry had begun.

Backstory: Due to Nathaniel being a natural genius and having a pristine memory, he was the perfect heir to the house. Because of this, Melisma was often overlooked until one day, when she was playing in the garden, she began to sing a lullaby her mother taught her, causing the gardener and a few servants to collapse into a deep slumber. Once her parents were notified of what happened, her education started to become more music based. While she went through similar academics as her brother, music was the primary focus. She would learn piano, lyre, mandolin, any instrument her parents could get their hands on, and Melisma had quite a knack for it.

When she wasn't studying, she liked to try to see her brother when she could since there weren't other kids or people around to socialize with. Her brother was socially awkward and had trouble understanding other people, which caused her relationship with her brother to be slightly awkward as well but despite that, she stubbornly stuck around and always wanted to ask him questions about what he was studying and learning. And when he was sick and not feeling well, she continued to be by his side and tried to take care of him as best as a young demon could. As an adult, Melisma is outgoing and enjoys performing concerts in front of large crowds of people in Lux Terra, sometimes going to the other continents to perform. But after that's done, she always returns home to her brother, always ever so curious in what he's up to.

Backstory: Titus is the very embodiment of House Amos' principles. Cunning, ruthless, charming, and a lover of pleasure in any form, Titus has lied, schemed, and betrayed his way to become the Lord of House Amos. At 16 he "convinced" his older brother to take a relaxing walk, (off a cliff), making him the heir-apparent to his house and five years later, his father was assassinated and the killer, never caught. Now Titus runs Ignis Terram like a shrewd businessman, investing in and buying out any other gold and gem mines he can to build his wealth and ensure that he remains on top for as long as he can.
Appearance: 6', 175 lbs with a slender build. Deep black, almost purple hair that is kept shoulder length, but is always neat and groomed. Pale skin and piercing violet eyes. Sharp triangular jawline, high cheekbones, and a sharp, handsome nose. Generally wears a black suit with a purple tie and gold cufflinks.

These runes, when placed upon a weapon or individual, greatly enhance their effectiveness, such as causing flames to erupt from a blade or to harden an individual's skin like stone.

Backstory:
Magnus' backstory is as much a mystery as the ones he hunts for among the ruins and ancient scrolls. All that is really know was he was found left as an infant at the House Litera estate. As he grew, his relation to the noble family would become apparent. He was, indeed, of House Litera. Pure blooded to be specific as his horns were of the shade of blue that denoted as such. However, his lack of a natural grasp for arcane magic and his physique would have many believing he was descended from The Casila. There were even rumors of him being a spawn of a demon brute form the wastes. All that could be found among the archives was the sudden disappearance of a single Litera woman, who never returned.

Because of these obvious deviations from the norm, Magnus would often find himself shunned or looked down upon by the more orthodox and "pure" Litera. Yet he pushed forward, finding a deep love for books and ancient texts, as well as taking advantage of his large figure and muscular physique in training himself. He would often disappear from the estate, delving into the ruins of the wastes and spending days on end in the wilds. This proficiency and knack for survival had him granted the title of Ranger by the Lord of House Litera, making him responsible for the safety and success of their expeditions in search of ancient knowledge and magic. It was during one of these expeditions that Magnus found his talents in the arcane.

While delving into a crypt beneath what was thought to be the ruins of a once fallen noble family's estate, Magnus was pulled into a chamber by an unknown force, which sealed itself up. Fearful of the loss of their protector, the servants of the Litera expedition fled, leaving Magnus for dead. A week past before Magnus emerged from the tomb. He returned the estate, his arms and chest covered in markings long thought to be forgotten and now with the ability to enchant objects, weaponry, and even individuals. He had been gifted with the ability of a Runeweaver.

Magnus now devotes his time to the protection and further rise of House Litera, showing absolute loyalty to his Lord Uncle. While not in the grand archives, he will many times set off on solo expeditions, or offer his services to the other noble houses in an attempt to keep good relations between families. He has also often been seen in the presence of Lady Ariadne of House Imperium, leading many of the nobility to speak rumors of what their relationship may be.

Appearance: Magnus looks very much like the picture posted above. He is roughly 6'8" and has a muscular physique. His chest and arms are covered in nordic style runes and patterns, with a runic pattern on the left part of his eye. He wears leather armor and also a lupine fur cloak.

One of his most prominent features of attire is his weapon of choice: a large, two-handed runic axe (As seen below.)

Backstory: Originally from House Amos, Celeste married Valak to become a part of House Casila. In her childhood, she was a distant relation to the head of her House and such lived a cushy life. That was until she, along with several others of her House, taken hostage by the Brute Demons. Since these hostages weren't very valuable, it looked like death was certain until they were rescued by a team from House Casila. They didn't think much of House Amos of course so it was more for the sake of garnering respect than to actually save them but nevertheless Celeste was grateful, gaining a particular attraction to one certain male in the bunch that stood apart the rest. She followed him, Valak, back to his home in order to find a way to gain his heart as well. Eventually her persistence wore him down and they got married. She wasn't sure whether it was fondness or annoyance that caused his decision but Celeste was happy all the same.

At first it was strange for her to get used to the difference in the House values and the more strength orientation so most of the time she hid behind her husband so Celeste grew a reputation for being very weak. Though, nothing much was expected from her considering she was from Amos and so she never gained much strength. As such, she quickly grew to realize that her children worshipped their father rather than her thanks to the difference in values and Celeste regretted this drift. Even though she cares very deeply for her children, Celeste doesn't really know how to connect with them anymore and doesn't see them as often as she wishes.

Backstory:

Early Life


The twin sister of Miluna, Miestrella often followed her sister around on the various pranks they committed against Valak back when they were younger. Although she lacked the ability to shapeshift, her power of invisibility was something their mother used to help train Valak as well, training him to be watchful of sounds as much as visuals.

As a result, both sisters were training dummies for Valak, with Miluna growing more distant with every session. Furthermore, she began to grow paranoid after being bullied herself and ended up often using her powers to spy on others, watching them for hours while invisible.

Growing up, she began to indulge in various substances to help her cope with this paranoia, trying to force herself to relax. How well it worked was never clear, as her other sister had seemingly grown quiet and bitter at their treatment.

After a while, Miestrella began to pretend things were alright, often being noted as a cheerier sister than Miluna, despite the fact that Miluna was often the one calming Miestrella down.

Sisterhood and Married Life




Both sisters were candidates for marriage, with some assuming that Miestrella would be chosen. However, in the end, Miluna had managed to scheme her way in, and although it was never proven, Miestrella blamed Miluna for using her powers to seduce the King and thus acquire the title. Still, since the King was with her sister, Miestrella was chosen to be wedded off to another house to further build relationships and expand in areas that they were less adequate in.

This incident, among other things, caused Miestrella and Miluna to drift farther apart. Especially when she was sent to meet her new husband.

Although initially she was indifferent towards her husband, often choosing to hide around the castle, invisible to his eye, she eventually grew to like him and bore their first child, Delilah. And upon seeing her daughter's eyes, she found herself filled with a love like no other.

It was outside Casila that the horrible event occurred. Although it was recommended that she bring guards from House Casila, Miestrella assured him that she'd be visiting the house of her husband and wouldn't require protection.

That was when a band of rogue devils attacked. The house's defenses were sub-par, and easily outnumbered by the abnormal swarm. Realizing they were surrounded, her husband ran to fight off the monsters, but they quickly broke into the room that Miestrella was in.

At that moment, she had a choice. She could cloak herself, or she could cloak her daughter. She'd always cloaked herself before. She'd hidden from her problems for so long, it seemed natural she'd do it again. And yet, seeing her younger daughter, full of so much life and potential, Miestrella didn't dwell on the fact when she cooed her daughter to sleep, using her power to mask her, and allowing the devils to drag her away as she watched her baby still in its crib.

Although they were able to drive off the horde, Miestrella was among those lost. Search parties had been sent to find her, but it was assumed the devils had consumed her, after evidence showed her garments had been ripped to shreds with traces of blood on them.

Aftermath

Although Delilah's father was now the sole parent to take care of Delilah, and Delilah being of Casila blood could remain in the house, Miluna offered her the chance to live with them in House Imperium.

She'd felt great loss when her sister's death was announced, and knew that if their places had been switched, Miestrella would gladly have taken Delilah. Thus, an offer was extended and Delilah accepted, having her live in House Imperium with her cousin and aunt.

Special Ability: Gabriel is able to create "mirror copies" of himself which can last anywhere between five minutes and over three hours, depending on the focus and energy he spends to make it. Quickly produced copies tend to come out a bit off, coming in with anything between a slightly different shade of horn, or looking almost nothing like the original. These fast copies also tend to lack motivation, usually either standing completly still or copying ever movement of the original Gabriel. However, if Gabriel spends a few minutes on the copies creation, it is able to act independently, though usually follows the commands of the original. Usually.
Titles: Self Styled Marquess, holds no actual titles in House Amos due to his bastard nature.
Backstory: Sly, manipulative, cunning, and above all, deluded, Gabriel is a spiteful man full of jealousy and loathing for his half brother and other relatives due to his half blood nature. While House Amos is far more lenient then it comes to half breeds such as he when compared to most other houses, that does not mean he is treated as a full member of the family. It was because of this fact that he was refused to be the patriarch of the house, with it passing to his brother Titus, and though it was not his younger brother's fault that such a thing happened, Gabriel still loathes him for it. Due to this, Gabriel has taken to painting his horns, to hide his shame from the world.
