Danger.

It was all he could think about.

Danger lurked around every tree, around every corner. Though normal animals weren't a problem for him, Sebastian knew that at any moment, he could be ambushed. It was a decision he had been forced to make: risk his life to a pack's marked territory, or risk his life and the lives of humans to the human's own ignorance. He wasn't very keen on murdering innocent people, especially normal humans, and so he had decided to take the risk against creatures of his own kind instead.

The scents of whatever pack had this territory were clear, and he kept himself mostly on the outskirts. After being attacked by humans in his second form, he'd been forced to slaughter the attackers and flee, with the rumor of a werewolf roaming the forests making the nearby townspeople more and more paranoid. Of course, they wouldn't have this problem anymore now that he had left - but even so, he had certainly had enough fighting for the moment, and wanted to lay low for a bit.

He had ventured a bit inward when he found a fresh-water lake, and the currently human Sebastian was forever grateful for it. He was hungry, but more importantly he was ravenously thirsty, and he knelt at the shore of the lake to drink as much of the water as he could get into his system. As a werewolf, his immune system did all the work in ensuring he wouldn't get sick from it; much like actual lupines, things in the water that might harm a human meant little to Sebastian and his kind. He let his guard down as he gulped down water, eventually resorting to just sticking his face into the surface and drinking straight from it instead of from his hands. His head leaned back up and he took a deep breath before he sighed it out in satisfaction. He dipped his palms down into the water cupped together and splashed some of the frigidly cold water upon his face, rubbing his eyes and letting his hands slide down his cheeks slowly. He was tired .. but sleep wasn't an option until he found somewhere that he considered safe to rest.

He stared down into the rippling surface of the lake blankly for a moment. His head tilted up to stare at the bright full moon in the sky, with only sparse clouds drifting by, unable to impede the glow of the moonlight. Absently, he thought mockingly about the myth of werewolves only turning on the full moon, and he chortled about it in his brain while his expression remained stony and cold. He stood then, and turned to head back into the woods. If he was lucky, he would find a spot to rest for the night before any pack members caught his scent .. but it was nothing more than pure luck if he did. He kept himself in his human form, his scent less noticeable in his much smaller human vessel, easier to mask and get away with.

Unfortunately, this momentary quiet and solitude would not last for as long as he'd hope.

Aaliyah had been selected back at the camp to go on the patrol for that evening. She didn't totally mind the patrols as she could see all the nature, but did not particularly care for the other aspects about it. Her dark curly hair blowing in the wind as She began to head out with the other members of the patrol. Glancing back at the Leader before they disappeared into the woods to go on the patrol.

Slowly carefully walking behind the others she nimbly stepped around any plants and rocks in her way not normally one to want to hurt anything. She would only do it if he life was at risk most likely but her conscious may even intervene at that moment.

As they made the way around the perimeter of the territory, She lifted her face up mesmerized by the moon. The myth kind of tickled her a bit. But she kind of liked the ability to do it whenever she wanted too. Which to be frank wasn't as often as her pack probably would like. She preferred her human form. Easier to move around, less frightening to the little creatures out in the forest. Humans were kind of scary though to her, The ones not afflicted by this as she called it, An ability that she could care less about. She bit the inside of her lip as they kept walking and looking around everywhere to see what was going on. Turning her face to keep her eyes peeled on the trail.

'' See anything?'' She called out to her fellow patrol members as they walked knowing she was the only low rank member here so she probably didn't have much of a say and when they didn't answer she shrugged it off and kept moving. Did she mind being low ranked~ not at all. She had no qualms with it as she could care less about moving up in the ranks.

She liked the little bit of freedom, she could have by not having too many duties. Besides it gave her a bit of peace knowing she did not have to do too much hunting. One of her least favorite tasks. She heard a sound near the lake, When they approached it and looked over at the lake curiously when she didn't see anything she moved on forward to try to see anything else. Luckily it seemed to be an okay patrol for the evening.

Or so she thought........

Fate was looking down upon Sebastian that night - and Fate struck him with the worst luck he could have possibly imagined receiving. The brief moment of silence and peace at the lake would be shattered like a piece of delicate glass against the ground.

He had walked some feet away from the lake's shore, only to freeze like a statue in his tracks. Far too late, he heard the sounds of feet crunching over underbrush and fallen leaves close by, coming from the direction of the heart of the forest. His expression, as well as the rest of him, tensed up completely as he tilted his head aside and listened intently to figure out how many were there. The footfalls gave him the impression of fewer than five, but not just one single person; two to three, possibly four, but three seemed more likely. Two of the paths of footfalls trailed in a different direction from the third, and he turned his head and body just in time to meet a gaze through the breaks in the trees. A female, dark eyes, dark hair .. Most certainly a werewolf as he inhaled the scent coming from her direction.

The second he saw her, his expression twisted into a dangerous glare and his teeth bared. He snarled, a sound that most certainly alerted the other two as they shouted and their footfalls came running towards him. This was merely a warning, but as he heard the two-legged footsteps become four-legged ones, he spun from her and took a few steps back. Crouched now, two massive werewolves, shifted into their second forms, came snarling and circling around him. They both had to be seven to eight feet tall ..

Prompted by their threatening stances and coiled positions, ready to attack him, he felt his blood boil. The tearing of fabric would rip through the cold air as his body quickly began to contort and grow, ink black fur growing thick along the enormous body, his face stretching into a snout, his head becoming one of the wolf as his limbs grew, his muscles bulked, his eyes shifted from their human black-brown to an intense ominous glowing red .. And when Sebastian had changed forms entirely, he curled up, up, and towered over the other two shifted pack members with his fangs out and massive claws gripping the soil beneath him.

A deep, thrumming baritone growl made the very air around them quiver in fear. The other shifted wolves were locked in and ready to pounce upon him, and he braced himself for a gruesome fight. His eyes whipped towards the young woman he had first spotted, those glowing orbs of death meeting her own in his defensive position ..

Aaliyah was a bit in shock when she met the eyes of the other.

Stepping back trying not to fall over the roots on the ground. The snarl and look in the males eyes terrified her but also fascinated her at the same time. She tried to get enough distance between them so she wouldn't be in the way of the fight when she saw her pack mates transforming to fight. She wanted to say something but she didn't have any right too. Glancing between the three of them , eyes pleading for them to stop. She braced herself in case she needed to transform.

Which was by no means ideal for her. Not being quite a big as the others. Also have very little fight experience. Gathering healing materials she could go...But fighting? Her strong morals wouldn't let her. The moonlight danced lightly on her tanned skin as she glanced between the two opposing sides. Her heart racing knowing that something pleasant wasn't going to happen. She didn't know if she should stay in case she needed to tend to the wounded or go run and get help. But the pure terror in her eyes wouldn't let her move.

The growl coming from the lone male, the deepness of it shook her to her core. Fascinated her too. She honestly wanted to know more....She knew in this situation it wasn't ideal.....She was frozen in fear. A mental battle of trying to get her body to move to do something...anything to try and stop this. But alas she couldn't seem to get her body to move. Her legs shaking as she stood in place staring at the sight before her.

Her heart beating so loud in her chest- She was afraid it was about to burst out. Her mind racing with so many questions and fears to figure out the outcome of what was about to happen. Her curly locks rustled in the light breeze as she was frozen, unable to do anything to help or even scream.
