Congratulations Hunter or Huntress!
If you are receiving this letter, then you have been accepted into the prestigious Beacon Academy, a school of higher learning for those who wish to better our world. Enclosed you will find information about your schedule and rooming. We look forward to seeing you arrive on the ships.
Yours Truly,
Headmistress Aurora
As a new student at the famous Beacon Academy, your job is to learn how to fight, and stay out of trouble. The problem is, one of those things will be much harder than the other.
Recently, Grimm have been acting strange-- seeming to become more self aware, they have been sneaking up on people, attacking only villages without hunter protection, and demolishing caravans with precious dust. This behavior is far from normal, but what can be done about it, except to kill Grimm as we normally do?
A new year, a new start as they say. These Grimm attacks may be scary, but the school must continue to teach it's students-- now more than ever. Attacks have been happening all over Remnant, and Beacon will certainly fall victim to one soon enough.
Will you be prepared when the time comes?
In your first year of Beacon Academy, you need only to focus on your studies and try not to get yourself killed.
...That isn't to say that you can't go on a mission to attempt to bring down whatever enemy there is, kill as many Grimm as you can and save the people of Remnant-- it's just highly recommended that you don't.
In summary, there is some serious shiz going down that threatens the world. You may try and go to school as a normal student of Beacon, or you can try to do something about the growing menace-- but threaten your place at this school. The choice is yours.
1. You may not be in any way related to canon RWBY characters. This takes place in a world where none of those characters exist, and thus you cannot be one of them or any of their kids. If you would like to copy one of their semblances talk to me about it, just don't have them be related or be obvious copies of the characters. Please and thank you
2. No one-liners. I would prefer a paragraph or more, but I understand that we are all at different levels. Please try and post at least one paragraph of good material that the rest of the group can go off of.
3. Be respectful. Do not bully other people OOC (if your character is a jerk it's one thing-- but that needs to be only your character), in any way shape or form. If I notice you being disrespectful, it will be the end of your time in this roleplay. Two strikes and you're out.
4. You don't always need to follow the plot. As I said, the choice is yours, and while I will try to keep the plot moving in some ways-- like news of towns getting attacked or students going missing-- I will mostly let you do your own thing.
5. No godmodding. Every character had to get hit sometimes, especially if we're going to have fighting scenes. If it gets too bad, I might ask people to roll the dice or something. Hopefully it won't resort that, though!
6. HAVE FUN!! There is no bloody point if you aren't having a good time. If someone or something is bothering you, talk to me about it and I will try to fix it. Not to say I will kick someone out if their character isn't playing nice with yours, but I will try and keep everyone happy. I only ask that you don't abuse this power and spam my inbox with requests... that would be alarming.
I will be assigning rooms and teams to everybody once the RP begins. Canonically, the teams are chosen after the adventure in the Emerald Forest. Thus, we will have 24 or 48 hours to have the first day introductions, and then I will officially start the event of the Emerald Forest. From there I will randomly select partners for everyone, and after the end of that event, teams. After everyone has teams, they will be assigned rooms, and the rest will be up to you guys!
Don't think that your interaction is limited to your team, however. Although you should bond more with your teams than with outsiders, you can do whatever you want-- including talk to people outside of your team and form relationships with them.
Anyways, thank you for taking an interest in my roleplay and I hope we can all have a great time!

Roleplay
The roleplay will begin on the day of arrival, where everyone has just arrived to the school and is looking around for potential friends or foes, meeting up with friends from theie old schools, or just keeping their heads down as they make their way to the Great Hall-- the only rule today is that you have to be inside the school by nightfall for an introduction by Headmistress Aurora and the famous "first day sleepover" where everyone bunks in the cafeteria for one night before the Emerald Forest Test.
I will be posting updates and notifications of major moving points in the OOC thread, so please watch it to make sure you don't miss anything. Of course I will post in here as Headmistress Aurora when these things happen as well, so please look out for Headmistress Aurora posts, which will have all purple font, and for updates in the OOC thread, which will (from now on) have yellow font.
Thank you and have a good time!
